reminder that people who enable/do nothing when it comes to acts of sexual harassment are basically just as awful as the aggressors. they normalize, justify, and regularly excuse those behaviors and sweep it under the rug. who you decide to call a friend does in fact reflect on you. if you're happy to be around people that engage in predatory behavior and you perceive a clear pattern of it yet do nothing about it, then i'm literally never talking to you again. that goes double for people on here where there's this strange idea that there are no consequences in an online space. there are. damaging other people by staying silent or sitting on the fence when you have the power to do something is a consequence and that shit comes back around ten fold to you. you'd deserve every bit of it. dangerous by association is a thing, and you are.

#conversations like this have been coming up a lot lately and thankfully all the people in my life will drop someone the minute they see all #those red flags but i am noticing that certain people on here like to just avert their eyes from things and pretend it doesn't matter if no #one else sees it. that's gross. i drop people in an instant with zero remorse the moment i consider them to be dangerous to others.#i've done it with lots of people and i'll fuckin do it every single time. there is no 'being put in the middle' there is no 'i dont want to #get involved.' if you're friends with that person and know what they're doing then you're ALREADY involved. it's super gross and seeing it #in online spaces is so fucking weird. like it's weirder to me than seeing it happen irl because what the fuck are you doing.#enabling. that's what you're doing.#just because no one sees doesn't mean it didn't happen or matter.#just because you don't feel the consequences now doesn't mean you won't eventually. rethink your priorities and correct yourself.#inaction IS a violent action when it comes to watching harm occur.#if you need the pressure of an audience watching you to force you into making the right decision then you were #probably going to make the wrong one in private anyways.#if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it— did it make a sound? yes. yes it did. something to think about.#sstexts
