Hello and good morning/day/night :]
I was wondering, in BNF, we’ve gotten tiny little bits of information about the ‘Nice and Accurate Prophecies’ (not sure if that’s the correct title, sorry) book and TV series, if there was anything else you could tell us about it?
Character names, storylines, plots, any fun details you may have made up or otherwise, etc, etc.
I just think it’s sweet how interested both Aziraphale and Crowley are in the series, and if you might be as interested, if not more, in it too.
Thank you, and have a lovely Sunday. 🫶
this is it, my leash has snapped, i'm wild in the streets, thank u for asking; i'm gonna go be insufferable now
(hi @neil-gaiman if you see this, i think it's safe to read, but it does border on being fan fic. i'm writing a fic where crowley and aziraphale are an artist + writer in an online fandom, much like we are for good omens, and this is the fake story i've made for them to be fans of 💛)
The Nice and Accurate Prophecy
info dump of the fake 5 book series by Agnes Nutter (1985-1992) and its fake fandom:
The Nice and Accurate Prophecy
The Strange and Improbable Prophecy
The Vague and Perfidious Prophecy
The Tense and Harrowing Prophecy
The Faint and Ineffable Prophecy
a dramatic, layered story with a bizarre and unexpectedly lovable cast of characters, humour that hits you out of nowhere, and a lot of attitude from the narrator. a la Good Omens, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
fantasy/historical fantasy and mildly action & romance
a la good omens, a witch and a witchfinder become friends and help each other throughout history, despite being on opposite sides. they get closer as they fight against the immoral plays from their prospective sides (the witchfinder army and a demonic cult the witch was born into) that each lose sight of their core values in a bid to hold more power over the world.
the story is set primarily in a medieval fantasy era, but suddenly jumps to the present in the later books, catching everyone off guard and giving a whole new context to enjoy the story. the challenges they face parallel the earlier story but in a modern take with modern technological twists. the modern era is the late 80s, since that's when it was written.
the witch reincarnates, similar to doctor who, due to a high class black magic ritual they performed in their arrogant youth (which they were NOT supposed to have access to). they've had long lifetimes where they die of old age, and others where they've barely managed to live a year. their reincarnations aren't entirely random; they will reincarnate according to their growth and preferences as a person (a la Magical Boy's magical outfit generations), which includes fluctuation in gender identity. their pronouns fluctuate depending on each "face" they wear, but have canonically been a "they" before. the good side of the fandom (crowley & aziraphale) default to they/them as an overall rule. they do have a name, but they like to change that too, so the fandom almost exclusively calls them witch, or witchy.
the witchfinder also has a name, but the fandom have taken to calling him witchfinder to match the fact that witchy is called by their role. it also helps that a lot of the witchfinder narration refers to him by role instead of name. he is human, 30ish in appearance, but at the end of the first book, the witch fears to lose him and curses him with immortality against his knowledge to try and keep him safe.
witch is crowley-coded, witchfinder is aziraphale-coded. my to-do list includes an illustration of the two of them played by michael and david :') but i picture them being kind of like newt and anathema for the most part.
ship names include witch/finder, witchwitch, w² or witch², and witchfound.
at the start of the first book, they meet and become friends without knowing each other is a witch & finder. the witchfinder is a bit bumbly, like newt, and the witch is cool and suave but neurotic and insecure like many human au variations of crowley (major overcompensation vibes). witch is male at the start of the first book. their friendship is secure when witch finds out he's a witchfinder, so there's less "oh my god i'm friends with the enemy, is he going to kill me in my sleep?" and more "ah fuck, Lets Drink About This"
there's battles, horseback riding, camping out in dark woods, disappearing and losing each other for months at a time, and many missed connections as they try to work together against two common enemies, whilst keeping up the facade that they're on their respective team's sides.
there's charged chemistry in the first book, but it's more plot heavy. there's hints of shippy moments in the 2nd book that fall in between the plot. there's a Moment of almost confession in the 3rd book, and a non romantic kiss towards the end (we gotta, for neil). they're pretty much married in the 4th book, securely at each other's side, but never actually talk about it until the end, and there's a more explicitly stated shippy connection in the 5th book.
agnes herself is a total recluse who drops books out of nowhere then goes back to existing somewhere in the english countryside (people presume). she's happy to supply signed copies to fundraisers and conventions, and sometimes random bookshops across the country will be vandalised with genuine autographs on the inside covers. she's notoriously pedantic about being involved with adaptions behind the scenes, but she has no social media and isn't ~around~. she once did a talk when she was presented with an honorary doctorate, and did a single book signing when the first Prophecy book came out, but beyond that she keeps to herself.
there are a small handful of quotes from her in behind-the-scenes footage talking vaguely about character intensions and clarifying world building, but she likes to leave things up to interpretation like neil does. it's in these few snippets of interaction we've seen from her that she's steadfastly supportive of intersectionality and lgbt rights, like staring dead-eyed at an interviewer when they ask her a ridiculously heteronormative question about the characters (like "have you read my books?")
adaptions include:
(most adaptions start like the book, with a male witch at the beginning that turns into a female witch when they first regenerate. the early ones usually change the pacing by switching to a female actor by the time they realise witchfinder is a witchfinder, unlike in the book where he's male for this scene, and there's way less Charged™ chemistry between the m/m witch/finder.)
Feature Film: late 90s, kind of cheesy, but good spirited fantasy (a la Indiana Jones). focuses on the first book alone, with hints to a sequel that never happened.
Abandoned TV Pilot: early 2000s, a little too dramatic but still a good time (a la the Dungeons and Dragons 2000, ASOUE 2004). good source of gifs and Moments™ but the fandom is generally Fine with it being abandoned.
Stage Performance: late 2000s-early 2010s, a stellar stage adaption of the first book with elements of the 90s movie. f/m witch/finder the whole way through. one cast used m/m actors but it was a short run and only a handful of fans were lucky enough to catch or remember it. crowley would give his left arm (or someone's, anyway) to have experienced it, so a fan sent him some flip phone camera footage of it that he keeps on a harddrive in his safe.
HBO Streaming Series: late 2010s-present, high quality, highly revered, resurged the fandom's popularity and spread the series further overseas. made in america, but doesn't try to americanise the series. extremely respectful to the books, with easter eggs to the film, and is working its way through the entire book series (a la The Witcher netflix series). f/m witch/finder, but has had one episode that included some flash backs/montages of different witch faces. probably like 15 minutes total screentime of a male witch played by a ncuti gatwa level/style of actor, which the fandom has giffed, edited, and screencapped to oblivion.
Several bonus books: Agnes has written a few extra books (a la The Unauthorized Autobiography of Lemony Snicket and The Beatrice Letters), as well as curated some anthologies from other authors (a la A Study In Sherlock). there are a total of 3 anthologies so far, in which other authors have written stories about the characters in their own tellings. basically like canonised, published fan fiction, curated and authorised by agnes herself. There's also an unfinished graphic novel that retells the book series (a la The Adventure Zone comic), but has been WIP/unheard of since the 3rd book.

I'm with the peeps who don't like the GO series. I read the book for the first time in '97 or '98 and genuinely enjoyed it so I was excited for the show. S1 was very weird, not just because of the fandom being weird (sexualizing Crowley and/or Aziraphale in really weird ways) or harassing Gaiman for not making the show 'gay enough'. It just didn't feel like the characters I loved from the book. It didn't feel like an end-of-the-world story, it felt like a series of 'will they, won't they?'. I don't know if I'm explaining it right, but like, my main peeve with GO S1 and S2 is that they were kind-of fanservice from a guy who's a little too chronically online and knows what would drive an audience to revive a book most people never even heard of. I still like the book, as well as several other Gaiman books (Anansi Boys will always have my heart) but the GO series should've been more faithful to the material people already loved. I guess I'm also salty about this because I'm tired of seeing things I loved as a kid being murdered (ie ; the Dark Crystal)
Oof, yeah, the problem with a lot of modern adaptations is that it always needs to cater to a wider audience -- almost making it more generic at times. I'm not gonna lie, when S1 came out I thought it was pretty faithful to the book, compared to adaptations that straight up disregard the source material (like the 1992 movie script......or COUGH Witcher COUGH). But now, after being hurt by season 2, everything that I didn't like about season 1 just became more apparent that I can't enjoy it anymore. I still like the book too -- and the reason that I disliked the show so much is just because I still like the book a little too much that I can't bare seeing it changed.

Hello! I hope you’re all having a good day! I need help finding a fic; I read it a little while ago, the longest would be like August, so not too long but still, and basically Crowley and Aziraphale were in the South Downs Cottage and were watching the Good Omens Movie that was written hit never actually created. I remember that at some point in it Crowley texts Adam and anathema about it and he also gets super upset and Aziraphale comforts him or something. Idk but if you can help please do. (I’m quite desperate :))
Hi! I believe this fic is...
Mystery Science Theater 6000: The 1992 Screenplay by Aethelflaed (G)
In the not-too-distant future, an angel and a demon sit down to watch a movie that probably shouldn't exist.
While they start out happily mocking the out-of-character moments and strange plot twists, one character in particular may be more than they can handle...
(Combination riff and analysis of the 1992 Good Omens Screenplay)

I Love Him Like That
Hello! So i finished reading the movie script, and I feel like this crowley is also cool, and that he needs a nice boyfriend who would love him just for who he is. Oh wait...Aziraphale already does that! So I made a story about it!  Enjoy ~
______________________________________________
F*CK
It was a dead end. It was impossible for Movie crowley to escape now. He turned around and backed himself against the wall. He looked at everyone who had chased him down to this alley. He gulped and frowned. They were his others versions with accompanied by the angels. They didn’t look pleased with movie crowley, and he assumed that it had to do with how he expressed himself about...certain things.
Out of nowhere, there was an explosion of light between him and the crowd. Movie crowley flinched and covered his eyes. He opened them and started to blink only to see that movie Aziraphale was now infront of him. One hand extended protecting movie crowley.
“Thats enough” Movie aziraphale said to the crowd. He was in his angelic form dressed in a white robe and resplendent as always. Everyone stared at the angel...and seeing that nobody was going to say something anytime soon, movie Aziraphale looked over his shoulder and asked “Are you alright, dear boy? Movie Crowley nodded, and then focused on the angels that started to do the same with their demons.
“please dear, there is no need for that”
“we just want to talk”
“about what exactly?” Aziraphale turned to gaze at the three angels who were now in front of him.
“well..”
“he treats you like sh*t”
“CROWLEY”
“Its clear as day that he has no interest in being here. He sees no value in being on earth-”
“and he has no respect for you”
Movie aziraphale stared at the versions of his demon. He immediately sensed their love for the versions of himself that it was almost palpable. The sight infront of him was heart warming.
He sigh and snapped his fingers, his white robe being replaced by his white suit. “Very well. Lets take this conversation somewhere else shall we?”
“I think thats a-
“TERRIBLE IDEA” Movie crowley intervened. “Besides, I have work to do at the nightclub and-”
“WOT”
“a nightclub!?” why the f*ck do you have a night club?”
“hmm, interesting...”
Movie crowley made a face and then looked at his aziraphale who had placed a hand on his shoulder. “My dear, lets hear what they have to say. Besides, this is a rare opportunity! Oh! it never occured to me that there were more of us! just look at them! You are ever so handsome in any version! and- *GASP* they look so good in a bow tie!” Movie aziraphale was now gushing over their other versions without realizing that his optimistic attitude made them blush in delight.
Movie Crowley grumbled “nugh...FINE” and Movie Aziraphale beamed at him “excellent!” He snapped his fingers and soon appeared in his museum.
“Um, hello. Uh, its not that I dont like this place, but wouldn’t it have been better to miracle us to the bookshop?” Tv azi asked.
“hm? what bookshop, dear?” There were many gasps made and movie aziraphale looked at everyone whose expression where that of shock.
“Your bookshop! you...you don’t...?”
“You don’t own one?”
“Oh! sorry no. I don’t own one, never could have run one anyway. I wouldn’t know how”
“And who said that!?”
All the aziraphales looked horrified, even the crowleys looked slightly concerned before staring at crowley with a scowl. Movie crowley flinched and looked away.
“Listen” Movie Aziraphale started “I know that you all have something to share about crowley, but if you would let me” he looked at every single one in the room “I would like to speak first about the matter. Please?” He asked gently.
Everyone looked at each other, some shrugged and others just looked concerned, but at the end they all nodded.
“Thank you” Aziraphale said with a smile. He took a deep breath, and started with “I love crowley”
The sight before him made him smile and giggle. The crowleys had their jaws drop to the floor blsuhing at how easy this angel had said such a phrase, and the aziraphale’s were wide eyes and blushing to. Some had their hands on their cheeks steaming.
“I love crowley” he repeated “I love everything he does. He is so wicked, cool, handosme, aaaaand....” at that he turned to look at movie crowley who looked away from him for he knew what was coming “deep down a little bit good”
“He stood up to the devil himself! even after being offered to be the boss in alpha centauri, he stayed”
“cause you cheated...” movie crowley mumbled
“Yes, but you could have ignored it and left, but you didn’t”
Movie crowley shrunk more into his shoulders and hissed.
“Sure, he doesn’t like earth, he cheats at checkers, he runs a nightclub, and does many other (bad) things on earth, but thats how he is. He acts like a demon should, and I do not expect him to behave in another way. Of course he says things that...well...hurt...but don’t we all?”
Movie aziraphale saw something happen to his other versions.
“Crowley here is not meant to love, but I am, and I have...so much love to give, that no matter how many times he cheats, says mean things to me, or tried to leave without me....I will always forgive him, and my love for him will not change because I love him like that, and he likes me too...in his own way”
“He is my best friend, I’d help him anytime, follow him if he were to ask me-”
“really?” Red head crowley asked
“of course” Movie aziraphale answered.
“I do not wish him any harm...in fact it makes me happy that he stayed. I’d be so lonely without him” Aziraphale put his hands together “so please, do not hate on him. He did something good for the world despite his dislike of it...”
“But...he is so mean to you...” one of the aziraphale’s said. His hands were then taken by Movie Aziraphale’s own who hold them affectionately.
“thank you...for your concern my dear, but I’m alright with it, he won’t scare me off with those manners of his anytime soon”
“Besides” Movie aziraphale movied to the other crowleys “look at these demons! aren’t they cool!? So handsome and wicked!” The crowleys were now blushing at this version of their angel gushing over them.
“Tell me, don’t you all love them for who they are?” Movie aziraphale looked at all the Aziraphales who looked at each other and sigh “We do”
“I know” movie aziraphale smiled “I can feel it”
________________________________________________
After everyone left, Movie Aziraphale walked towards his Crowley and placed his arms around his shoulders. His chin now layed on crowley’s hair.
“I meant every single word I said to them”
“nugh....i know...you always did”
“hmm”
“......I love you too” crowley mumbled.
“what was that?”
“I’m not saying it again angel” crowley said through clenched teeth
“Oh Crowley please! say it one more time I didn’t hear it!”
“Tough luck then, cause ya ain’t hearing it again anytime soon”
Aziraphale saw how crowley’s ears turned slightly red and he hugged him tighter to himself with a big smile.

Tonight, for the first time ever, I get to see the very first canonically queer couple I've ever shipped get married and have a hard won Happily Ever After.
Pretty much every fandom I have ever been a part of, I have ended up shipping two male characters:
Jack Kelly/David Jacobs, Racetrack Higgins/Spot Conlon, Specs/Dutchy (1992 Newsies)
Greg House/James Wilson (House M.D.)
Templeton "Faceman" Peck/HM Murdock (The A-Team)
Tony Stark/Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton/Phil Coulson (The Avengers)
Crowley/Aziraphale (Good Omens -- could be argued they are canon, but it's not explicitly told that they are so for the sake of this we are going with not).
Charles "Trip" Tucker III/Malcolm Reed (Star Trek Enterprise)
It's always been a pipedream, though, to have two characters I love love each other.
Then one night this past March I decided to finally give Roswell, New Mexico a chance while bored and lonely at home, scrolling thru Netflix. I went into it not knowing there was a canon gay character.
The very first time I saw Michael and Alex on screen together, I remember thinking, "Yup. That's it. That's my new ship. I ship them. Don't care."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next time they were on screen together, I actually sat up on the couch because, omg, their dialog was making it sound like they really could be gay and had been a couple at some point.
Tumblr media
And then, this scene happened...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I am not kidding when I say I fell off my couch flailing and screaming and fighting back tears because OMG THEY ARE!! THEY'RE GAY!! I DON'T HAVE TO PRETEND THEY LOVE EACH OTHER, CUZ THEY ACTUALLY DO!!! And this was the pilot episode!
From that moment on I was hooked. I was so happy to finally have a canon queer couple!! And weirdly enough, they led me to some introspection of my own and made me realize that I myself am queer and that if I were ever able to/brave enough to transition that I would be gay.
I haven't been able to come out to many people except for on here because I know so many people in my life would react badly if I did (i.e. my family and even though I am 36, I do still currently live with them and I'd rather not deal with the fallout while under their roof). But slowly I have been trying to change things -- switching to Old Spice deodorant and bodywash, wearing guys shorts and flannels and pants, giving ambivalent answers to anything referring to me as female. Whatever I can do to make myself feel more like me without drawing too much attention to myself.
But tonight I get to watch my Emotional Support Queers get married. And for me that's like a confirmation that love wins. That even if your blood family hates you for who and what you are (Alex's dad forver hating him and thinking less of him for being gay, despite everything Alex did to try and prove himself worthy of love and respect from his family), it's okay to be who you are. There are people who will and do love you and support you no matter what. I will forever be thankful to these two characters and to the beautiful, wonderful, talented men who were brave enough to portray them so convincingly that for the first time ever I even found myself shipping the actors themselves. And I will also forever be grateful to Tyler Blackburn especially...who didn't finally find the courage to come out as bi until after he got the role as Alex...who was scared of coming out even into his 30s because he was afraid of how his family/father would react. Maybe some day I'll be as brave as him and be able to come out officially.
Thank you, Roswell New Mexico for giving me Malex.
Thank you Michael Guerin and Alex Manes for being so stupidly in love with each other even while trying to move on and be with other people, you were always going to end up with each other because you're cosmic soulmates. I'm going to miss seeing your stupid in love faces on my screen and watching you two grow as characters, a couple and eventually a family.
And finally, thank you Michael Vlamis and Tyler Blackburn, for everything you two have done in support of these characters and community. Your dedication to your characters cannot be beat and we love you both for it.

no i will not read the 1992 screenplay script because the few snippets i was shown on discord were enough to turn my stomach and i love myself too much to subject myself to anymore of this nonsense but i have to say from what i’ve read of it screenplay crowley reads like real crowley had a terrible nightmare that he really was as evil and mean as hell thinks he is. he wakes up in aziraphale’s arms and cries b/c he was so mean to his husband in his dream and feels bad about it for a week

We all agree that 1992 script!Crowley is Not a Proper Crowley(TM). So what does make up a proper Crowley?
1. Loves earth, wants to continue living there for as long as possible - doesn’t want the apocalypse to happen!
2. Likes humans, thinks they’re clever, enjoys the things they create
3. Low Grade Evil - the M25 and the coins glued to the sidewalk, he doesn’t want to HURT people, he just wants a little mischief -  often ends up inconveniencing himself with his wiles
4. Squicked by torture! Check out this demon, he hates the 14th century, doesn’t enjoy human suffering like his fellow demons, is sickened by edgy, sadistic humans.
5. HUMANSONA - gender, lifestyle, flashy flat, Crowley wants to come off as a certain kind of human, and gets invested in how he comes off - changes his name, Anthony J Crowley. Tries to sign the document with his chosen name instead of his demonic sigil.
6. Wily Old Serpent - Gives humankind the knowledge of good and evil. Crowley pokes holes in the system, sees the flaws in the plans, thinks up things no one else does, asks too many questions. Curious, slippery, clever, uses holy water on a fellow demon! Thinks fast, telephone escape plan (so long sucker!)
7. The point is DOLPHINS! Gets drunk and rambles emotionally - he’s passionate about stuff! Whales! Space! Whatever it is that water slides off! Takes a train of thought and RUNS with it, loves a good argu-Ducks!!
8. Do it with style. The DRAMA. The James Bond bullet hole stickers on his car (what a nerd). The Saunter. Ciao. There he is now, the flash bastard. Blasting Queen, waving from inside his burning car.
9. Ngk
10. Local Demon’s Cool Facade Cracks Under Dreadful Odds - scared, anxious boy underneath the sunglasses. Scheduled panic time. Shitshitshitshit!
11. Enjoys Aziraphale’s company! Respects and actively thinks of him as a friend, someone he trusts and cares about! WANTS to spend time with him, considers him better company than demons and other angels (and likely humans too)
12. Runs into a burning building for Aziraphale. Stands with him at the end of the world, facing down certain death to defend the earth and the humans they care about.  Both angel and demon align themselves with earth, big character arc, Crowley finally stands up for what he believes in.
13. Can I tempt you to some lunch? - Respects the Sacred Intimacy of going out for lunch with his object of affection. Clandestine meetings. The Arrangement. Arguments that last over a few decades. Feeding the ducks. Going to the museum. Bickering. Ancient History Shenanigans. The Intimacy of being Drunk Together.
14. BENTLEY - Powered by pure imagination and Freddie Mercury, Mr. High Tech is deeply attached to his vintage car. V good for driving angels around, road trips are essential. Tape player, Only Plays Queen.
15. snek. eyes. dubious feets?? really weird things with his tongue.
16. Hi guys - shows up late to the graveyard, gives Hastur and Ligur a little wave. They’re not impressed.
17. “talks” to his plants
18. Sad goodbye when Aziraphale leaves without paying attention to him :(
20. sleepy snek. Big nap.

Alright, I’ve been saying I’m going to do some Masterposts for my 25 AO3 fics, so here we go...
For those who don’t know me, I write Acespec Ineffable Husbands, and my specialities are historical adventures, character studies, and gut-punching angst. My main series, Sawdust of Words (SoW) contains all of these in spades! Check the TW on anything rated T, as that usually indicates non-graphic violence, threats of violence and physical/emotional abuse.
Please select desired angst level:
I just want something warm and fluffy!
Finding the Words: G, 4509. Aziraphale has something he rather desperately wants to tell Crowley. Immediately after the Ritz. (SoW)
Blizzard! Broken Thermostat! Only One Bed!: G, 1438. It’s snowing — I mean BLIZZARDING — and Crowley has no choice but to pull over at a conveniently located luxury hotel. No choice! Will his cunning plan succeed?
Perception: G, 715. Crowley puzzles over one of the great mysteries of the universe: why isn’t EVERYONE in love with Aziraphale?
Reflections: G, 1229. Aziraphale’s simple question, Do you think I should change, hides a world of doubt. Fortunately, Crowley knows just what to say.
Quarantine: G, 554. Aziraphale and Crowley are quarantined in the bookshop! Wait...why? Half PSA, half clueless flirting!
I want some feels and a happy ending.
Early Days: G, 19,459. In the Beginning, an Angel and Demon met on the Wall of Eden. The next day they really started getting on each other’s nerves. See the very beginning of this relationship for the ages! (SoW)
Careful: G, 1664. For nearly 6,000 years, Aziraphale has been careful to control his actions, his feelings and his thoughts. Until Crowley makes a request that could destroy them both. Divergent AU starting with the fight at St James’s Park.
The Dark of Eden: G, 2980. On their last night in Eden, Aziraphale and Crowley walk together trough the Garden, each reflecting on what he’s lost. But perhaps there is something they have gained. Intended to be fluff, came out sort of melancholy. Direct follow-up to Early Days (SoW)
Sealed: G, 5835. London, Three weeks after the Apocalypse: Crowley finds a certain document tucked away in a forgotten book. / Mercia, 1020 CE: An angel and a demon meet to finalize an Arrangement... (SoW)
Reckless: G, 6303. After Aziraphale's reckless confession, he and Crowley must make plans to keep themselves safe. But the worst happens when certain uninvited guests arrive at the bookshop... Sequel to Careful, one more part expected.
Mystery Science Theater 6000: The 1992 Screenplay: G, 8528. An angel and a demon sit down to watch (and mock, and analyze) a movie that probably shouldn’t exist. A little heavier on the feels than originally anticipated. (Only covers the first 30 pages of the Screenplay, so there may be another chapter or 3 in order.)
Of Poetry and Valentines: G, 3435. Crowley can’t stand what Valentine’s Day has become. If he has to look at one more heart-shaped cake, he’s going to be sick. But it wasn’t always that way. Guess which holiday this was written for!
Our Side: G, 1172. After the end, on the bus ride home, Aziraphale despairs. But Crowley shares a new dream... A ButterOmens fic started by @sani-86!
Anniversaries: G, 2422. Just over a year after the apocalypse didn’t happen, Aziraphale and Crowley’s picnic is interrupted by an old enemy. A ButterOmens fic started by @n0nb1narydemon!
A Cunning Plan: G, 11,275. Two angels and two demons decide to get their revenge on the traitors. But holding Aziraphale captive turns out to be harder than expected. Can they break through his defenses before Crowley mounts a successful rescue? ButterOmens fic begun by @kaz3313!
I want LOTS of angsty feels! (Note: endings range from happy to hopeful)
Give Them Hell: G, 1179 words. After the Apocalypse, Aziraphale and Crowley discuss plans for their upcoming trials... (SoW)
Someplace You Belong: G, 5326. London, 1800, Aziraphale finds he must come to terms with the unexpected emotions of his near-promotion. With gentle prodding from Crowley, he reveals a secret. Something of a follow-up to Obedience, but you will likely still feel sad! (SoW)
In Love with My Car: G, 3287. London, 1933, After 70 years of naps, Crowley meets someone who just might change his life. It’s the Bentley! (SoW) Also has a podfic by @exmarks
What it Means to Be A Demon: T, 32,284. Mesopotamia, c. 2400 BC. After an especially harrowing trip to Hell, Crawley arrives in a tiny Mesopotamian village, where he encounters a familiar face. But Aziraphale soon realizes Crawley isn't acting like his old self. Between his foul mood, his mysterious injuries, and his refusal to talk, the demon is certainly hiding something. What has brought Crawley to Gu'Edena? And is there anything Aziraphale can do? So many TWs — please tread carefully! (SoW)
Boundless Love: G, 54,200 (some chapters approach a T rating). 17 stories of Aziraphale and Crowley, 17 chances to fall in love. Written for @drawlight’s Advent Challenge. (Note: these stories are thematically connected, but they are separate stories, not a single plot.)
Aziraphale’s Path: G, 524. Many years later, Heaven and Hell come for them. Aziraphale returns home too late. Is Crowley gone forever? Part of a ButterOmens chain started by @holycatsandrabbits — links are in the fic!
Never Alone Again: G, 9577. They're on their own side now. But they aren't free yet. After the Apocalypse, Aziraphale and Crowley risk everything in one final, desperate gamble to break free of their old sides and truly start their life together. Bus Ride, Body Swap and Trials, overlaps Give Them Hell and ends just before Finding the Words. (SoW)
Kindly rip out my still-beating heart.
Obedience: T, 1797. Before Eden, before the Fall, there was a War in Heaven. Somewhere amongst the eternal fighting on the endless battlefield, one angel learns the consequences of disobeying an order. This one is an absolute gut punch you have been warned. (SoW)
Three Little Words: G, 3361. London, 1849, Crowley has something he rather desperately wants to tell Aziraphale. But there are some things a demon can never say. Sad ending! But only because this is part of a larger series! It’s going to be ok! (SoW)
Claimed: T, 4182. A dinner of crepes. An angel who's ready to talk. But Crowley's evening is interrupted by the arrival of two demons. And they're not here to deliver a rude note. Made for @whiteleyfoster’s contest. Downer ending, though this one may get another chapter or two in the future to mitigate that.
Please feel free to save/reblog to help spread the word!

So I’m currently working on a project where some of this is relevant, and found some interesting parallels/easter eggs between two works by the late Sir Terry Pratchett - “Good Omens” vs Johnny Maxwell series (”Only you can save mankind”, “Johnny and the dead”, “Johnny and the bomb”.)
Written close to Good Omens - possibly being worked on at least partly at the same time. Good Omens released in 1991. OYCSM - 1992, JATD - 1993, JATB - 1996. Similar dynamic between Adam Young’s friends and Johnny Maxwell’s friends:
Pepper - similar to Kirsty, outspoken, bold strong young intelligent feminist character who intimidates the boys. Red haired like book Pepper.
Wensleydale - Yo-Less - both quietly intelligent lads who are practical and clever, if percieved as slightly boring by the others. Yo-less even gets nicknamed “voodoo god of chartered accountancy” at a halloween party. Wensleydale on the other hand is described as “the only thing that separated him from chartered accountancy was a matter of time.”
Brian - Bigmac (real name Simon Wrigley) - not as much similarity here, but both are chaotic messy kids.
But then we get to someone who isn’t Adam’s friend, but his childhood adversary - Greasy Johnson, aka the 3rd baby in the baby swap, versus Johnny’s best friend, Wobbler….
…. Wobbler JOHNSON…. (First name Stephen)
Although in Johnny and the bomb, it’s Bigmac who breeds tropical fish. BUT - (spoiler alert) At at least one time in his existence, Wobbler does indeed breed fish. (In Good Omens book - Greasy Johnson breeds tropical fish).
Wobbler is a geeky fat kid who “writes a computer game entitled “Journey to Alpha Centauri.” The game is meant to be played in real-time, meaning it would take three thousand years to finish the journey. If the game were actually played for three thousand years, the player would be rewarded with a message saying “Welcome to Alpha Centauri. Now go home”. This inspired an interactive fiction game developed by Julian Fleetwood, Journey to Alpha Centauri (In Real Time). It was released in 1998, with the same premise of requiring three thousand years of game play to complete”
(Explanation was copy/pasted from wikipedia page for expediency.)
(Side note - I absolutely want to write a fic wherein Crowley bought the real game and has a computer set up in his flat somewhere that’s playing it in real time for the next 3,000 years. In the year 4998, he’s going to get all excited and yell “AZIRAPHALE, GET IN HERE, IT’S ABOUT TO HAPPEN!” Aziraphale will wander in about 3 seconds too late to see the “winning” message and Crowley will just about tear his hair out in frustration that now he has to play it all over again for another 3,000 years just so he can show Aziraphale the end of the game.)
Anyway, I digress… As an aside, “United Amalgamated Consolidated Holdings” is a business that crops up under various similar guises in a few Pratchett works, including the Johnny Maxwell series, where they have bought the graveyard and threatening to dig it up to build offices. They are also a variant of who Newt works for briefly in the TV show of Good Omens, and who has the paintball team building experience in both book and TV show Good Omens. They’re also mentioned in the Bromeliad Trilogy (“Truckers”, “Diggers” and “Wings”). The kids even have rambling conversations about witches and Spain and briefly drops in a mention of the Spanish Inquisition a couple of times later on. Prattchett also drops the joke about them saying “Chow” for goodbye, in a nod to Crowley’s “Ciao” in the churchyard and Hastur saying he thinks it means “food.” Johnny’s group also discusses the lost continent of Atlantis and UFOs,what would happen if one landed in your garden, not to mention a rain of fish. Pratchett even drops an “Aardvark” in there. Another crossover reference between them is mention of “Power Cable, Nebraska” - where in the book, Aziraphale briefly possesses the body of televangelist Marvin O. Bagman (who was going to be in the series but was cut from production.) In “Only You Can Save Mankind” it’s the location of the printing company that printed Johnny’s encylcopaedia. In Johnny and the bomb we get “Tickety Boo” dropped in by Mrs. Tachyon, the resident crazy cat lady and interdimensional time travelling plot device, who as an aside, also drops a very Discworld-ish Foul Ole Ron “millennium hand and shrimp” as evidence of her presumably being tuned into other worlds in the mind of Pratchett. Notably, there’s also a big black Bentley in Johnny and the bomb. The bomb in question being dropped in 1941 as it happens, although not on a church.
In place of Aziraphale’s magic show you have Mr. Vincenti in “Johnny and the dead,” a children’s entertainer who even has a ghostly dove with him. The children used to shout out ‘it’s in your pocket!’ Echoes of Crowley and Aziraphale on the park bench here.
Johnny leaves the dead a radio to listen to. On the radio we briefly hear a line from Bohemian Rhapsody.
One of the ghosts in Johnny and the Dead is Addison Vincent Fletcher, who invented a better telephone - he flies through the phone wires much as Crowley does in Good Omens.Anyhow, that’s all the easter eggs/crossovers/parallels that I can find for now, but if you know of more, let me know!

Me Rambling About Future Twisted Wonderland Events and Other Stuff Nobody Ask
Okay. A few days ago I found  a theory that Grim was based on Jabberwocky written by @spindlebeforesunset . It was a convincing theory and I really like that. But this it got me thinking, if this is the same Jabberwocky from the Alice in Wonderland live-action movie, then we have an actual representation of Disney Live Action Movie.
Seriously. When the world is talking about POC and LGBTQ+ representation, I’m here talking about Disney Movie representation.
This also got me thinking about the Events we got (Happy Beans Day, Fairy Gala, and Ghost Marriage). Most of them are inspired by Disney Movies, but I’m still not sure about Ghost Marriage. I’m guessing that we will be definitely getting more Events between Pomefiore-Ignihyde and Ignihyde-Diasomnia, maybe even Diasomnia-Finale. So, I went through the Disney Wiki and looked at the list of animated canon to see what event we can get.
More rambling below!
As we all know, Walt Disney Animated Canon has eight eras of animation (according to the wiki, usually we mash the Bronze Age and Dark Age together):
Disney Golden Age: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - Bambi (1942)
Disney Package Film Era: Saludos Amigos (1942) - The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949)
Disney Silver Age: Cinderella (1950) - The Jungle Book (1967)
Disney Bronze Age: The Aristocats (1970) - The Rescuers (1977)
Disney Dark Age: The Fox and the Hound (1981) - Oliver & Company (1988)
Disney Renaissance: The Little Mermaid (1989) - Tarzan (1999)
Disney Post-Renaissance: Fantasia 2000 (1999) - Meet the Robinsons (2007)
Disney Revival: Bolt (2008) - Frozen II (2019)
Now, as you can see, between these eras, we have characters, dorms, and event represented in Twisted Wonderland.
Disney Golden Age:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937): Pomefiore
Disney Package Film Era:
Fun and Fancy Free (1947): Happy Beans Day
Disney Silver Age:
Cinderella (1950): Mozun Trein and Lucius
Alice in Wonderland (1951): Heartslabyul
Sleeping Beauty (1959): Diasomnia
One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961): Divus Crewel
Disney Renaissance:
The Little Mermaid (1989): Octavinelle
Beauty and the Beast (1991): Ashton Vargas
Aladdin (1992): Scarabia
The Lion King (1994): Savanaclaw
Disney Revival:
The Princess and the Frog (2009): Sam
Now, there are others I haven’t include: Grim, Dire Crowley, Ramshackle Ghosts, Fairy Gala event, and Ghost Marriage.
But before we discuss, I want to say that I will be only including the Disney Animated Canon, so I won’t be including the actual Live-Action Remakes or Disneytoon Movies, but I will connect it to the movies in the WDAC.
Fairy Gala Event. This is easy because we all know this is inspired by the Tinker Bell franchise [DisneyToon Studio]. Tinker Bell herself is featured in Peter Pan (1953).
Dire Crowley. We all know that our ‘kind’ headmaster is supposed to be the Twisted form of Maleficent’s raven. He could be the actual raven in Sleeping Beauty (1959) or maybe he’s actually Diaval from Maleficent (2014) and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), which means we have another Live Action Movie representative.
Grim. Now according to the mentioned theory, Grim can be the Twisted form of Jabberwocky, which means he has a connection to Alice in Wonderland, both (1951) and (2010). Though I did make a meme that Grim is inspired by Stitch, I don’t have much proof.
Ghost Marriage Event. This event is interesting because most of us, including me, think that it was inspired by Corpse Bride (2005). Here’s the thing. Corpse Bride wasn’t made or distributed by Disney. It was produced by Tim Burton Production and distributed by Warner Bros. Picture. So, Disney has no involvement in this. However, I start to think about another possibility.  Have you ever heard a short Silly Symphony called The Goddess of Spring (1934)? This animated short is very important because, from this, Disney could develop their skill in human character, which eventually lead to the birth of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). I’ll be sticking to this, which means Ghost Marriage represents the Era Before Canon or even Disney Golden Age.
Ramshackle Ghost. Honorable mention, they are probably inspired by the ghost in Lonesome Ghost (1937), while the Ramshackle Dorm itself is inspired by Thru the Mirror (1936) and has inspiration from Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) . The Ramshackle Dorm can represent Era Before Canon or even Disney Silver Age, while the Ramshackle Ghosts represent Disney Golden Age (it was released three days after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Okay, to round it up we have:
Disney Golden Age:
Pomefiore
Ghost Marriage (my speculation that it’s based on The Goddess of Spring, which has a strong connection with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Ramshackle Ghost (released three days after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
Disney Package Film Era:
Happy Beans Day
Disney Silver Age:
Mozun Trein and Lucius
Heartslabyul
Grim (Grim = Jabberwocky theory)
The Ramshackle Dorm itself (the through the looking glass concept, which is connected to Alice in Wonderland in some way)
Fairy Gala Event (Disney Fairies event, which is based on Tinker Bell, who is connected to Peter Pan)
Diasomnia
Dire Crewel (while unknown which raven he’s based on, both ravens are from Sleeping Beauty)
Divus Crewel
Disney Renaissance:
Octavinelle
Ashton Vargas
Scarabia
Savanaclaw
Disney Revival:
Sam
Now, we don’t know what will happen after this, but I have some wish list:
Halloween Gacha can be based this around The Headless Horseman from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) [Disney Package Film Era], The Black Cauldron (1985) [Disney Dark Age] maybe even Pooh's Heffalump Halloween: The Movie (2005) [DisneyToon Studios, but connected to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)  [Disney Bronze Age] and Winnie the Pooh (2011) [Disney Revival] ]
Gotta-Catch-‘Em-All Event, but instead of Pokemon you catch Winnie the Pooh inspired creatures [The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) [Disney Bronze Age] and Winnie the Pooh (2011) [Disney Revival]] or even aliens like Stitch’s cousins [Lilo & Stitch (2002) [Disney Post-Renaissance] ]
A Bird-Theme Music Festival for Saludos Amigos (1942) and The Three Caballeros (1944) [Disney Package Film Era]
Adventure/Explorer Gacha based around Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) or Treasure Planet (2002)  [Disney Post-Renaissance]
Sherlock Holmes-like/Victorian Era Event based around The Great Mouse Detective (1986) [Disney Dark Age]
A School Festival Stage Play based on The Sword in the Stone (1963) [Disney Silver Age] or Robin Hood (1973) [Disney Bronze Age]
I’m sure you can give more examples but I’m gonna stop here. I rambled too much.
I just want something from Disney Bronze Age, Disney Dark Age, and Disney Post-Renaissance because we haven't got anything from there!

The Thing About the 1992 Good Omens Script...
…is that I totally understand HOW this version came to fruition. Adaptations are HARD; the movie version of Series of Unfortunate Events is probably the best to compare this to. In that, they combined the first three books into one whole movie. With that, you are cutting out characters, themes, settings, and plot enforce the author’s original intent. There are a lot of missing nuances that audiences WILL catch. But in adapting books to movies, sacrifices have to be made, especially when it is a book with a wider cast/plot. That’s why the Netflix adaptation felt so amazing! They had the Time and Budget to craft this detailed, accurate portrayal of the book series. And that is what Good Omens was able to receive in its miniseries.
Under the cut I go into more detail about how I think the movie version came about, btw.
Like, ok, the set of criteria listed is A) It’s Good Omens and B) It cannot be like the book.
So what do you do? First would be to look at the whole book, and see what plot/characters can be put to the side. Obviously, even with the book still being newly released, Crowley and Aziraphale are two major selling points. Adam clearly has to be in it, because the story revolves around his nature vs nurture (Son of Devil vs Growing up as a normal human).
So what can leave to make a 2 or so hour movie in 1992? Well, you don’t need the Witch Finder Army, because Newt and Shadwell do not directly play with Adam’s story. The Horsepeople aren’t needed either, because their journey is to just get to Adam; you might as well combine their goal of “Make Adam do the End of the World” into Satan. Anathema is an interesting choice, but her character plays into the more magical aspects of the world, and she can replace the Them basically.
Without the Witchfinder army, and trying to make a simpler plot, you also can’t go into Agnes Nutter and Anathema’s lineage. It would take too much time, so simplify it to Anathema being psychic.
And of course, you cannot have the Heaven and Hell aspects that the book goes into more detail with. A sideplot about how both are rearing up for war, how Aziraphale and Crowley are torn between their jobs and their lives on Earth, would take too long.
Storywise, this is the streamline you are left with at the moment
We have Aziraphale and Crowley
The Apocalypse is coming, and Crowley gets the baby
SOMEHOW, Adam ends up with human parents
There is an 11 year jump, and Aziraphale and Crowley have to look for the Real Antichrist
We meet Adam, without the Them. Who is he in this situation? Who are his parents?
Anathema comes to find and stop the Antichrist
Aziraphale and Crowley have to find Adam
Adam has to struggle, but overcome the temptation of his powers
The Apocalypse is averted
That is the working skeleton that you are left with. Does leave a lot of holes and questions of where to go next, doesn’t it? So, how to fill those holes into a coherent script for American Audiences in 1992? You have to quickly establish our main supernatural beings, and move into the meat of what the script is going to be. You can’t have Aziraphale and Crowley taking care of the wrong boy for 11 years, because then you have to explain a detailed baby swap. Easier for Crowley to loose the baby, simplify your three cups into one poorly decided handbag. Crowley also then has more screentime in the beginning. Without Aziraphale really chatting to Heaven, and Crowley being tied into Adam’s story by loosing him, it means Crowley is more akin to a “main character” for the audience.
In trying to keep other characters from the book in the screenplay, you make it so that Madame Tracy is the one to take Adam. Now, you also have to change her profession a bit. She needs to live in Tadfield and raise Adam, but you also need to find a way to bring characters together, mainly Anathema. If Anathema has a reason to be around Adam so much, then the two can become friends (and Anathema’s betrayal of attempted stabbery can have more impact), so make Madame Tracy run a B&B. Nature vs Nurture is the theme in the film (to me at least), so challenging Adam by having him interact with Satan is where his character growth is going to come from.
That’s sort of what I have gathered from reading the script, at least. I think the character I am most curious about IS Crowley, though. I don’t even have a guess on how his character was translated from a Demon that is sly and cunning, working “smarter, not harder” by doing stunts like gluing coins to the ground or bringing down cellphone towers to inspire anger, and who really does love humanity and Aziraphale, to a character that seems rather based in disgust and hatred for everything around him. Like, I can’t tell if it was Neilman, higher ups at the company, the fact it was going to be for American audiences, the fact that is was in 1992, the idea that they wanted Johnny Depp, or some combination of these factors. That’s the one thing that I am still trying to puzzle out in this adaptation.

I just read your script based stories and wow I love them! I liked Stay a bit more than For bad and for worse because I still ship Aziraphale and Crowley even though Crowley is a jerk in the movie script, but Hastur/Aziraphale is really interesting, too. Will you write more Script based stories?
First of all: Thanks for reading! I’m glad you enjoyed the stories! :)
The Hastur/Aziraphale story was a gift for @fanlan1. They came up with the pairing and it was a lot of fun to write! :)
Oh, will I write more? Probably. I really want to write more fic based on the 1992 script, but I also want to continue my series and write more one shots based on book and series. And I’m participating in some zines, too. So much to write so little time. ;)
But yes, I’m sure I’ll write another movie based story in the future. :)

Gift Fics again!  This time for @ladyoutlier set to Earth Angel!  Aziraphale has a bad day, but Crowley is there to cheer him up.  I wanted to write some fluffy softness as a balm for that 1992 script today.  I’m so glad we live in the good timeline xD
---
Today had not been kind to Aziraphale.  Not in the slightest bit.
He had a meeting around noon with a local rare book dealer about a particular first edition he’d been seeking for quite a while.  They’d agreed to meet at a cafe local to the dealer at 3 on the dot. Aziraphale, being ever punctual, had arrived at 2:30. Nothing wrong with having a spot of cocoa and a scone while he waited; and he was always on the lookout for new places to drag Crowley to.  He made it inside just a few minutes before the rain started outside.
Things had gone off the rails almost immediately.  The hot cocoa was made with hot water , thin and tasteless, with a dollop of whipped cream from a can floating sadly in the center.  But Aziraphale was always an optimist, and he suffered through it, for the sake of the baristas.  He didn’t want to inconvenience them.
He’d gotten a cranberry orange scone, and it hadn’t been much better.  Far too crumbly, he could barely pick it up without it falling apart. And the ratio of scone to fruit was ridiculous.  He counted two cranberries in the entire scone, and he was pretty sure whoever made it had forgotten the orange entirely.
He was silently seething as the clock struck three, the book dealer still nowhere in sight.  He decided to take a look at the papers in the meantime, but the only ones left in the shop were from two weeks prior.  He thought to himself that beggars were the last ones to be choosers and read the same stories he already knew about, contemplating one of those ‘smart phones’ Crowley was always trying to get him to buy.
By the time 3:30 rolled around, he’d read the paper cover to cover at least three times.  He folded it and tossed it on the table, with his barely-drunk cocoa and hardly-touched scone.  Aziraphale hadn’t brought a book with him this time; his tendency to get absorbed wasn’t always appreciated in these meetings, and he didn’t want to be off-putting to this new potential source.  It had been so long since he’d found a new dealer to work with, and the older ones were starting to dwindle in their offerings anyway. He settled for people watching, and throwing a few minor miracles around to those passing who needed them.
By 4:30 he decided the dealer would be a no-show, and resigned himself to the long walk back to the bookshop.  The rain, at least, had let up by this point. He hadn’t thought to bring an umbrella, and that would’ve just made things worse.
At five he was about a block away from the bookshop, ready to be home with Crowley and forget about this entire day and fruitless endeavors, when a lorry slammed through a puddle on the road, splashing him from head to toe.  He stopped in place and heaved a sigh, this day just wouldn’t let him off the hook.
It should be noted that even the best of us are susceptible to a bad day.  Even angels and even demons. Aziraphale has weathered his fair share of them - you don’t live on Earth for six thousand years without encountering a few.  This particular day paled in comparison to most of the ones he’d had, but sometimes even the kindest, nicest, and most put-together people will succumb to a string of innocuous bad events and sink into what is professionally known as a “funk”.
This is the state we find Aziraphale in as he returns to the bookshop.  Dejected, soaking wet, and downright depressed. He unlocks the door, snapping his fingers quickly to rid himself of the water.  It wouldn’t do to drip all over the floors, the old wood wouldn’t take kindly to it. Despite this, he still feels chilled to the bone and a bit damp.  Drying miracles never quite manage to get all of the water out.
He climbs the stairs to their tiny shared flat on the second floor.  It’s small, but it’s home, and it’s just enough for them. Before he gets to the second step he can already smell it.  Tomatoes, basil, garlic, mushrooms. Crowley must be making pasta tonight. Aziraphale loves it when Crowley cooks for him.  He’s been learning, which had surprised Aziraphale at first. A Crowley completely free from the confines of head office had turned out to be quite the romantic.  Candlelit dinners, lots of sweet nothings, and the clingiest cuddle-bug that Aziraphale had ever known (and he had known Wilde and been drunk with him).
The smell only gets stronger as he climbs the stairs, lifting his spirits ever so slightly.  But the weight of the day is still heavy on his shoulders as he opens the door to the flat.
“Angel, that you?” he hears Crowley call out from the kitchen.  Some kind of bebop is playing on the little radio there by the sink.  Something about Sunday’s and wasted years.
“Yes; was a bit of a mess, I’m afraid,” Aziraphale says as he hangs his coat on the little angel wing hook by the door.  (Crowley had thought it quite hilarious right after moving in. The other hook, currently holding a very flash black suit jacket, is a devil tail.)  He slips his shoes off and puts them on the rack, turning to see Crowley leaning on the door frame of their little kitchen-slash-dining room, tea towel slung over his shoulder, bright red hair up in a messy half bun
“Deal didn’t go through then?” Crowley says, brows laced with concern.  He knows how Aziraphale gets, especially by now. It’s been years since that fateful August day when they stood side by side on an old airstrip and faced down the forces of Heaven and Hell with a scrappy group of humans.
Crowley crosses over and wraps his arms around Aziraphale, placing a kiss into his hairline, “do I need to find the scumbag and stage a little demonic intervention?”
Aziraphale manages a slight chuckle as he nuzzles his face into Crowley’s neck.  “No, I don’t think so, dearest. The dealer never showed.”
“The scumbag,” Crowley says with absolutely zero bite behind it, “I’ll curse him myself.”
“None of that, foul fiend.” Aziraphale says with infinite fondness.  It’s been a long time since either of them have done anything truly in line with their respective sides.
Crowley absently runs a hand soothingly up and down the angel’s back.  “Still, something else is on your mind, I can always tell.”
“Yes, I suppose so,” Aziraphale sighs, “just several bad things all piling together.”
“Well,” Crowley pulls back and kisses Aziraphale quickly on the nose, “you’re not allowed to be sad because I made pasta, and you love pasta, and you love me.”  Crowley rests his forehead against Aziraphale’s, touching their noses together. The intimacy of the action still takes Aziraphale’s breath away to this day.
Crowley kisses him quickly, then turns and makes his way back to the kitchen.  Aziraphale follows close behind, sinking into one of the tiny bistro chairs of the little dining set they managed to fit into the corner.  The rain has started back up outside, and Aziraphale leans his chin on his hand to stare out the window at it for a little bit.
Aziraphale doesn’t think he has a right to be this sad; everyone has bad days and he’s had much worse than this.  Lots of their neighbors around Soho have had a worse day than he has, he can’t hear their prayers persay, but he can feel the general shape of their hopes and fears.  And yet, he just can’t shake it.
A sharp yelp from the oven startles Aziraphale out of his thoughts.  Crowley’s burned himself on the pan for the garlic bread, like he always does.  He watches Crowley move around the kitchen, so steady and self-assured. Falling into domesticity has been so easy, so natural.  Almost like breathing. Crowley keeps swaying to the music on his radio, testing noodles and stirring sauce. He stares down the sauce and adds just a pinch more garlic powder to it, before giving it a stir and tasting it.  “Angel, I’ve done it again!” He says as he punches the air. They both know he’ll hardly eat any of it, but he relishes being able to do this for Aziraphale
“That’s lovely dearest,” Aziraphale says with his chin still in his hand.
Crowley smiles at him, tossing the towel back over his shoulder as he swaggers over to the table, “what is it, dove, like what you see?”
“You know I always do, darling.”  He smiles at Crowley as the demon takes both of his hands.
“Still feeling down, Angel?”  Aziraphale just nods at him. “Well that won’t do, c’mon, up you get.”  He pulls Aziraphale to his feet before shooting a glare at the radio. The bebop playing cuts out abruptly and switches to a very smooth piano beat.
Crowley winks at him, “dance with me, love?”
“Crowley what on Earth?” Aziraphale rolls his eyes and does his best to suppress the smile attempting to creep across his face, “you know I can only dance the gavotte.”
“No gavotte here, Angel, just swaying in the kitchen.”  Crowley guides Aziraphale’s hand to his shoulder before gently placing his own on the small of the angel’s back.  He presses their cheeks together and starts to sing along softly with the man on the radio.
“Earth angel, earth angel, will you be mine?  My darling dear, love you all the time. I’m just a fool, a fool in love with you.”
They sway back and forth, as far as the tiny kitchen will allow.  Aziraphale can feel his nerves and anxieties calming; safe here in his demon’s arms.  They sway and they spin, and he giggles as Crowley keeps singing to him.
“Earth angel, earth angel, the one I adore.  Love you forever and ever more. I’m just a fool, a fool in love with you.”
“Crowley, dear, you’re such a hopeless romantic sometimes.” Aziraphale places a tender kiss to the little snake tattoo by Crowley’s ear.
“Not hopeless if I got you in the end, Angel,” Crowley says, nuzzling into the angel’s cheek before nuzzling into the angel’s cheek.  “I fell for you and I knew the vision of your loveliness.”
Crowley grips his hand tightly before spinning him around and bringing him back even closer.
“I hope and I pray that someday I’ll be the vision of your happiness.”
“Oh my dearest,” Aziraphale says, resting his head on Crowley’s shoulder, breathing deeply, perfectly at peace, “you always have been.”  They sway slowly from side to side, not really dancing anymore so much as just existing.
Aziraphale feels the stresses of the day melting away from him, safe and content in Crowley’s arms.  Where he was always meant to be. As the song fades out they hold each other close, pasta miraculously fine still sitting on the stove waiting for this moment to end (it wouldn’t dare burn, not when Crowley is in the room).  The final notes of the song drift through the air as Aziraphale leans up to whisper into Crowley’s ear, “I’m just a fool, a fool in love with you.”

Hi, um, could you um, may I ask for a description for the differences between the 4GOmens please? Cause I only know the TV version. Please. Thank you. Sorry.
In my opinion, they are not that different. They are all from the same characters and it was just people interpreting them differently. Even the actors had different portrayals. It will take a long time to type out what they all are like, with evidence and all.
That said, I am in no way speaking for the fandom. And I will try not going too much into details because I will write up a deeper character interpretation and post on AO3 for my Four of a Kind AU.
Overview: All Crowleys has some sort of anxiety? Radio sounds the most suave though. All Aziraphales are cute but the others are much less nervous than TV. Radio and Book had no fear/ little fear about their respective sides. 1992 Script: Crowley is the scared one (like a reverse of TVOmens)
Book!Omens: Married each other at least a millenia ago already. They have gone through all the exploring each other and the whole lovey dovey phase. Now they are acting like really old friends rather than a couple. Annoying one another to no end, but also exchange soft intimate moments.
Radio!Omens: Apparently the fandom agrees they gives out the friend-with-benefits vibe I love this (I am making use of it for my NSFW art too aha).
TV!Omens: A couple with a lot of ups and downs. It took them 6000 years of pining and yearning for each other, but couldn’t reach out due to their own fears (Thanks Gabriel). They are now just at the hand holding phase lol
1992 Script!Omens: I will be more detailed with this one because you probably cannot read the script anymore.
As Neil said, this is an AU he made up because he was forced to write a screenplay that was “not-too-much-like-the-book”. In this one Crowley owns a night-club, takes the role of the one pushing Aziraphale away (while in TV Series it was Aziraphale pushing Crowley away) in fear of Hell. Aziraphale in the script is a sunshine as always. It was unfortunate that Crowley here was depicted more mean-spirited than he was in the book.
What made the difference was that their demonic and angelic sides are amplified, probably to appeal to the studio executives. They probably didn’t want a soft demon. And so we had Crowley complaining about Earth being boring, wanting to go back to Hell, saying nasty things, mean things to his angel. Meanwhile Aziraphale is always smiling and clinging to the friendship between them. Not healthy at all. This is mostly why people hate the script.
(BUT guys… Neil must have  written this not intending it to be a romantic relationship back in 1992. At most, this is a less than ideal friendship)
Oh and also Crowley lacks motivation to save the Earth. It made little sense why these two would risk working together to save the Earth. Aziraphale’s motivation wasn’t that clear either, unless I forgot something.
Note that this was a first-draft, not a final draft. I actually think if Neil had time and motivation to dive deeper into characterization (and more creative freedom),  there could have been an interesting dynamic. As I called it, the sunshine and the pessimist.
Ok it is 3:11AM and I am rambling. Oof. Well, other fans must have better ideas, or completely opposite ideas. To me all are valid if you can back it up ;) I advise you to read the book, listen to the radio, BUT don’t read the 1992 Script like I did (Neil Gaiman didn’t want it to be leaked and people have since taken down the download links), to draw your own conclusion.

P/s: People say this Crowley is horrible. Naturally of me, I protect the underdog. He said a lot of bad things to Aziraphale, and other people, but really, other characters changed as well. They all became so different.
BUT if you look closer. Crowley did stay true to the original. he was nervous, constantly stressed, more stressed than he was in the book even. And so him lashing out at Aziraphale, or saying mean things to him, or denying their friendship, can be explained. Also, Crowley is a great boss. He protects his employees, fight for their benefits. Awesome. I need him as my boss.
