I tried to make Lyric's actions make sense and show why he's like that

That underneath everything though he presents as though humans mean little to him that he's simply scared of himself being hurt again, but unable to help that he focuses on his love for Gill and has turned her into an idol and he does want to protect her but also he rationalizes a lot of selfish things he does by saying it's for her safety and happiness.

He's a young boy who's terrified of having the one thing that kept him, mostly, sane while being experimented on taken from him. She was his only friend and he is too scared to follow her lead in loving freely and thus to mature in the same way she has after living together.

She was his first and only source of kindness and his only friend and all they had for that were each other and he's just scared that her giving anybody else more attention means shes going to stop giving him any and won't love him. He's got attachment issues and is displaying them in an extreme way.

I have said before that Gill represents love but Lyric does too. Gill is the pure love for all and the good that love can perform to uplift people, Lyric is what love can turn into and when it darkens into obsession and become about possession.

#anyway I'm just wanting Lyric to be like well written and that his motivations and actions can be followed and not feel like random y'know #I tried to illustrate the path he took before erasing her memories #and create like something where it makes sense and not like just he's evil now because he's not he's not evil he's just scared and it's not #right but that's what he's rationalized #because he does love her #she loves him but she knows that love comes in all sorts of types and isnt replaced by loving everyone #and like also as he got obsessed with keeping her he drew away into his research and like not purposefully but avoided her #adding in his mind to her being around the humans more than him but he blinded himself to what he was doing and she felt she barely saw him #anyway I'm rambling #I like them lmao #dapper s/i: trigun #dapper oc: trigun

the signal is Gotham's first confirmed superhero, and he wears a bat on his chest

social media goes Wild fighting over whether the Batman existed all along or if someone finally got the tech and powers to make the bat (or a bat) Real

suddenly the world of superheros feels a lot more real to the citizens of Gotham who got used to horrible disasters being either ignored or neatly cleaned away from the public eye, now there's a guy getting thrown through windows and helping grannies cross the street and the war between gotham and metropolis gets even more cut throat

Here it is! In which Ace picks up a different shipwrecked masked aspiring adventure-novelist on Sixis :)

Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU

Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask

This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it

In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.

He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius

I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!
