You stirred in your sleep and opened your eyes. You noticed that your husband Striker was no longer in bed. But this was normal; Striker usually go up early in the morning or at midnight to get ready for a job. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you started dating the outlaw. You closed your eyes for a few seconds, you were still exhausted from work. But you were glad that today was your day off, you fell asleep again but woke up a couple of hours later and decided to start your day. You took a shower and got dressed. You walked into the living room and smiled at the wedding picture on the table. You remembered this day and how you meet Striker. The outlaw had run out onto the road and got hit by your car. You had stopped and panicked seeing that you hit someone. When you placed him in the car and offered to take him to the hospital. He refused to go and ask that you just patch him up, you were unsure of this but nodded. When you had taken Striker in and patched him. You sighed and turned off the water, you stepped out dried off, and changed into your pajamas. You opened the door and jumped. You saw Striker standing there holding a pack of popcorn and a tub of ice cream. “ I was still hungry and saw you had snacks, wanna watch a movie? “ You smiled and nodded. “ I would love to. “ Striker offered his hand to you. You grabbed his hand and later that night you and Striker were watching an old western movie had had suggested both of you had finished off the ice cream and popcorn. You saw that Striker had fallen asleep at the end of the movie. You stood up carefully sliding him down on the couch. You walked off and returned with a pillow and a black blanket. You carefully slipped the pillow under his head and covered him with it, you watched him stir in his sleep. You smiled and walked off.

You got yourself ready for bed since tomorrow was your day off but you still valued your rest. You got into bed and sat there thinking of Striker and you fell asleep. You planned for a restful sleep but you woke up screaming and crying. But something held, you looked up to see Striker looking at you with a worried look. “ (Y/N) are you okay? You loved Striker so you agreed to be his boyfriend and follow his rules which were no calling him while he is working, no posting pictures of him on your social media, don’t let others know about your relationship with him, and be careful who you trust. Striker had these rules to protect himself and espically you. So you agreed to these rules. steve first runs into the Party at the arcade (where he works part time because he wants to make his own money as a ‘fuck you’ to his parents and cuz it’s a chill job) and he becomes their favorite worker and they become his favorite customers. one day steve takes a smoke break in the parking lot and sees some kids bullying the Party and his older brother instincts kick in.

he walks up behind the party like “well well what do we have here?” and the Party is like “steve!! :D” and steve in his leather jacket and ripped jeans and combat boots glares down the bullies and they scamper off. from then on steve tells the kids to go to him if someone is bothering them and it becomes town-wide knowledge not to mess with byers wheeler henderson & sinclair. he basically becomes their personal Scary Dog.

the parents end up wanting to meet this young man who kept bullies away from their kids (and they’ve heard all sorts of rumors about him and he dresses like That so they’re suspicious) and steve’s like “yeah sounds great!” and immediately charms all of them because he’s a sweetheart and does genuinely care about and want to protect their kids. from then on he’s the go-to babysitter / ride to school / campaign host. steve pretends to be annoyed but he loves it and treats them all like they’re his younger siblings (especially lucas and dustin)

joyce and steve bond especially and they have coffee dates every sunday and just talk (joyce tries to get steve to come to her when he needs help or just someone to listen). at first everyone who sees them is super confused because what is paranoid mother Joyce Byers doing with the high school bad boy Steve Harrington?? but after a couple months it just becomes commonplace and people will even stop by to say hi

i also think jonathan and steve would end up being best friends in like freshman year and steve would get jancy together in s1 (steve and nancy don’t date). he’s never a third wheel though they have a great “this is my boyfriend and our best friend steve” type relationship. (plus jonathan never takes the creepy pics and the whole fight never happens so they’re all chill).

steve and robin are fellow outcasts so they’re chill. then steve beats up some guys who harassed her and they become actual friends and steve lets robin come over whenever her parents are being shitty. steve lowkey converts her into a punk and they basically do illegal shit and have a bunch of fun.

btw steve is a fully realized biromantic demisexual (or just queer whatv lol) and he has an extremely accurate gaydar which is partially why stobin become friends. anyways i’m mentioning this becauseee

steve meets will byers and Immediately Knows and pretty much comes out to him and tells him it’s okay and he becomes wills Gay Mentor (imo jonathan can either be straight or queer and just not really informed abt gay shit so steve would be the mentor in his place bc they’re basically brothers anyway (joyce absolutely tries to adopt steve multiple times)).

steve meets max at the arcade before any of the Party befriend her and she immediately becomes another of his favorite customers (the ranking is dustin, will & lucas & max, mike). she thinks he’s super cool and basically projects onto him as an older brother figure and he’s happy to play the part. he notices the way billy treats max and threatens him that if he ever treats her like that again he will kill him and hopper will help him hide the body. things are pretty peaceful for max after that. additionally neil hargrove gets arrested for domestic and child abuse and billy takes his car and leaves without a word. max’s mom still drinks so steve kinda unofficially adopts her, she has her own room in his house and ends up staying there most days. he ends up actually adopting her later but they’re still more of an older brother & younger sister dynamic than father & daughter

steve doesn’t interact with eddie until s4 but they know of each other and are on neutral terms until the byers move to cali and eddie starts DMing for dustin lucas mike erica and max (who steve managed to convince to play). they’re wary of each other at first but eddie realizes steve is actually a huge softie and steve realizes eddie is just a cute dork who reads LOTR and plays D&D.

steve isn’t on any sports teams or anything but he works out on his own, goes for jogs every morning with jonathan and nancy especially after the demogorgon and demodog shit. basically he’s fit and good at fighting (due to more experience with it) and nancy taught him how to shoot so he can do that too. most of his scars are from demo-creatures instead of fistfights, though he has a few of those too (not from jonathan or billy tho).

I imagine their first kiss was intiated by Pip because I think Ravi didn’t want to ruin his friendship with her.

I think it was at one of their houses. They were just sitting on the bed talking about Sal and The Andie Bell case.

Ravi would probably put rhinestones around his eyes to imitate the lover album cover and wear some pastel colored outfit (most likely some knitted sweater and cargo pants).

Pip would so love the song “sweet nothing” because it reminds her of Ravi.

Forehead kisses from Ravi are Pip’s favorite while Ravi prefers the kisses Pip presses to the corner of his mouth and his cheeks.

They’re not the ones for big PDA but they do subtle ones like hand holding or a hand on each other’s thigh under the table or some such thing.

Ravi loves playing footsies with Pip when they’re having dinner with either of their parents because her blush is so cute.

Pip loves listening to audio books while Ravi prefers reading.

Pip claims that she is not the jealous type of gf but she definitely is! Like she trusts Ravi and she’s secure about their love but she just hates it when someone is friendly/flirty with him.

I think her jealousy stims from her insecurity that she doesn’t deserve him.

He always assures her that he feels like the luckiest person alive to have her and that she’s literally perfect to him.

I think Ravi is more protective than jealous, but he knows that his girl can protect herself after all she is Pippa freaking Fitz-Amobi.

He still tries to protect her despite that (like the time he yelled at Max).

Ravi’s biggest insecurity is probably his body because he’s not very muscular or strong.

Pip always assures him that he’s perfect by leaving kisses on his chest.

i believe asexuals exist, but nonsense like the split attraction model (homophobia) and things like "greyace" or "demisexual" or "aceflux" do not and are simply within the normal range of sexuality. the lgb community is for people who experience same-sex attraction, which asexuals by definition do not.

I figured out why Make it Right is making me so uncomfortable!!

(and I’m excited by that so I’m writing about it to help me process) @bengiyo if you’re interested, I’m still watching and I’m sure I’ll have more thoughts about the show later but this is mostly about how girls are taught about sex and its dangers so you do you.

Alright so brief context, I’m a girl, I’m 25, I went to a christian highschool and was raised in a christian family and sex, real sex, was not something I really understood as a teenager. 

Sex ed in Australia is quite decent (in my experience) in terms of what happens during puberty, relationships, safe sex (to an extent) and the biology. What isn’t talked about (at least to us girlies) is pleasure. Sex is also, dangerous, it is very much taught as: this is what it is, this is how it happens, this is how to be safe AND no matter what happens you could get pregnant so don’t have it unless you’re prepared to be pregnant. I am not exclusively talk about sex only being pleasurable for boys here btw, I didn’t not know sex could be fun for girls OR boys I just thought it was for children making. 

Now how much people internalise this message undoutably varies, but I internalised this message A LOT. (The fact that I’m demisexual and didn’t experience sexual attraction till I was 21 undoutedly plays into this but I actually don’t think it’s the main cause). 

The words ‘orgasm’ and ‘masturbation’ were words (and concepts) I learned from fanfic at 16/17. 

Additionally the hints/links to sex as enjoyable for anyone were ALWAYS linked to romantic love. 

So Ohm’s character, Frame, was making me feel viscerally uncomfortable from the moment he stepped out of a bathroom stall having clearly had casual sex with an (older) woman. 

What I didn’t understand until episode 6 was: Why? was it general discomfort with underage sex? not really, Ohm’s actual age? that didn’t seem right. Him being friends with sex workers? A little bit, but not totally. His general horniness? kind of...

and it took until Book&Frame’s forced sexual encounter for me to realise I was less uncomfortable with this than I had been with Frame’s active sex life. 

It made me sit down and go: 

OH, OH, 

FRAME is DANGEROUS, He is exactly the kind of teenage boy I was actively taught to avoid at ALL COSTS, because a boy who so openly want’s sex IS. NOT. SAFE. 

There’s all sorts of other biases going on in my head of course, about sex under the age of 18, and sexual attraction vs romantic love and the forcing angle, but I was already thinking about all of those things and none of them explained why I was so UNBELIEVABLY uncomfy. 

If I hadn’t been determined to watch this I definitely would have bounced at episode 2 without ever understanding why. For now, ONWARDS
