What happened with 4lung again? All i heard was a bunch of people hating them for wearing a diaper and some sus messages of them messaging a minor, thats not the cause or???

it's very easy to make a new discord account to "convincingly" fake some messages without using photoshop. Basically her ex wrote an entire callout over an interpersonal conflict that stemmed from said ex disliking (and repeatedly mocking her for) her kinks that she wanted to explore. Ppl blew it way the fuck out of proportion - writing a callout in the first place was uncalled for. A lot of the harassment happened over twitter (on accounts that are long since deleted) and in a discord server run by the ex who had no problem riling everyone up, getting kids to publicly attack her on their behalf. The loudest voice they egged on was another musician who went by Slimousine, and they went so far as to accuse 4 of KIDNAPPING, based on a photo one of their friends took from the backseat of a car, in which 4 is clearly in the passenger seat and someone else is driving. They were all going through the Arby's drive thru after a show 4 performed at. About a year later Slimousine admitted on twitter to making it all up, the "sus messages," the "attempted kidnapping," everything. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a surviving screenshot of this, but i was following them at the time it was posted. It didnt change anything, the damage had been done, their friends and followers were convinced they were somehow harassed/pressured into making the post by the "pedophiles" defending 4. Yes, anyone who defended her was labelled as a pedophile by this crowd.

If you'd like to verify any of this for yourself i'm sure the callout is still up. It's a lot of transmisogyny and taking OBVIOUS jokes with complete seriousness, in the same tone a parent would yell at their kid for "being pregnant" when they said "zomg i am so preggers just from lookimg at him hes sooo smexeh xD" like. it is SO so so unserious.

Can I just say I'm really loving Over the Falls? I'm really really looking forward to the part when they both settle down. One of your tag is househusband and damn I've never read fics where JK is a househusband and I just really lookimg forward to that. Hi!! I dont know where else to go but im suspecting i may be on the schizo spectrum? Or at least just wondering way too hard. And i have no where to look into more trustworthy specifics besides brief nformation about the common disorders (that i dont really think i fit into at all btw but then again im undiagnosed with everything so im forced to rawdog it and come to conclusions on my own) and no where to find information about specific symptoms that can be overlooked as "normal behavior"

I have psychosis and its been like this since 2018, slowly growing, getting more intense i guess especially during a traumatic event that happened a few years ago *really* increased my delusions. Thats the only primary thing i experience i believe, but now looking back i am unsure if i experience some level of hallucinations as well like thinking im seeing flies n such fly around me trying to bother me or bugs crawling near me in the corner of my eye. Though it may be because im sleepy or something as i like to stay up a lot! And maybe because ive dealt with annoying flies one too many times that im just paranoid abt dealing w them now.

this thought has been on my mind for a while (mainly speaking in terms of hallucinations) but recently i saw a post on twitter about someone asking if other people "have intense fear of monsters or the dark" before going into deph about how her brain is constantly afraid of her life will turn into a horror movie. Like "what if a zombie breaks into my house" and her brain imagining scary scenarios that genuinely terrify her when she does anything. And reading that sounds very familar to something ive experienced even to this day, esp if im alone at night or alone n looking into another room thats dimly lit.

I really do understand her fear of closing her eyes n seeing scary scenarios. Ive noticed ive weirdly been seeing stuff too, mainly faces and eyes that i would see when watching analog horror and it *really* terrifies me and makes me think that ive somehow spawned it in real life (esp if i think about it too much)

Hi there anon! I'm glad you're reaching out, and I hope I can help you a little on your way!

What you're describing, intense fear of hypothetical scenarios and "closed eye hallucinations" are both things that I can definitely relate to as constants in my life. I don't have enough information from just this ask to say whether your experiences are full blown delusional/psychotic, but regardless, it sounds like it's taking a toll on you, and have been getting worse. It's common for this type of experience to worsen with stress, so it's no wonder it worsened when you were going through something traumatic.

When I first talked to a psychiatrist about some of my beliefs, they wrote something that I later found kind of interesting, that some of my beliefs were like those of a scared child. As if I had never quite learned how to regulate that type of fear and my imagination would get the better of me. I don't know if your experience is anything like that, but from the way you described it, I thought that might be relatable to you.

The line between fear, anxiety and psychosis can be hard to define. One thing I've learned is that most people with "pure anxiety" are not having anxiety about bizarre or paranoid things, but about more mundane matters that have been blown out of proportion. But obviously there's variability. But I remember when I met my partner of now... 9 years ...? I wasn't diagnosed with anything yet, and we were both like "yeah I have anxiety" and thought we knew what the other meant by that. But like the anxiety was similar, it's just that the things I was anxious about were odd, I guess.

About the images you get when you close your eyes, that is most often described as a type of intrusive thought, and I've also heard people call them "closed eye hallucinations". I get icky and scary images like this sometimes, and it can be really distressing.

I hope your symptoms don't get worse, and I hope you can feel at ease knowing that no matter the exact cause or name, you are definitely not alone with having these experiences, and they are common experiences for people on the schizospec and people with some other related difficulties.

And if you find that you relate to the schizospec experience, there's space enough for everyone, and you are welcome here. Even if you don't fit any specific disorders or you conclude that your symptoms are "sub-clinical" or more related to something else, I believe in an open door policy and I think anyone with this type of experience can benefit from spending time in/with the community, and can bring unique insights to the table themselves.

I don't know if I'm making any sense, I'm super tired today, but yeah that's my two cents I guess ^^

Edit: It might give you some insight to look into other symptoms associated with the schizo-spec, like negative symptoms, cognitive symptoms and ipseity disturbances :) I think that will give you a stronger idea of whether you are likely to relate to most of us 🌼

For the Seven Characters ask: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (original versions), the Elric brothers and Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist), Sokka and Katara (Avatar the Last Airbender). Sorry not sorry for the random selection of characters. XD

Oooh fun! I will say my knowledge of FMA is all second hand, so I'm working off what I've picked up from mutuals and a quick wiki-dive for those 😅

1: go grocery shopping with Katara. Get in, get it done, and go home 😆 also though, I think she might enjoy being able to just. Go to the store for food. And also I would probably try to initiate some sort of "you make something you like and I make something I like and we share" deal.

2: have lunch with Dr Watson. I so want to just. Talk to him. To ask about living and working with Holmes yes, but also just hear about his experiences as a doctor both in London and—provided he is willing to talk about it—as an army doctor.

3: have coffee tea with Sherlock Holmes. Specifically at the Baker Street flat if possible, though I wouldn't turn down tea at his cottage in Sussex either. Again, I would love the chance to just talk, but tea has a little less social obligation of length than lunch and also comes with the option of being at his home.

4: go thrift shopping with Sokka. Not a lot of explanation for this, he just has the vibes of someone who would enjoy poking through things lookimg for serendipitous treasures.

5: explore a museum/art gallery/aquarium with Alphonse Elric. Specifically a science/natural history or human (pre)history museum. There's a couple very cool ones in Edmonton that I think he would enjoy

6: go to the library/bookstore with Edward Elric. Tbh this assignment was mostly process of elimination. I'm not sure that Ed and I would get along very well 😅

7: have as a plus one at a wedding possibly controversial, but I'm picking Riza. I feel like we could semi-hide together in an out of the way spot, and I think she would be an interesting conversational partner when we aren't people-watching.

"You are a heathen," George says seriously. Alex knows he's serious because his left eye is twitching just a bit the way it always does when he is trying not to blow up at someone out of courtesy, or isn't sure if he's the one in the wrong.

Alex loves making George's left eye twitch, because George always takes himesl and everything around him too seriously. Plus, it's always so bloody fun.

"That's not true, Georgie," he says, trying not to grin. "It's you who doesn't know the proper tea-making procedure. Your ancestors stole the sacred beverage from mine, and didn't even bother to learn the proper way of consuming it." He shakes his head. "Shame on you."

"Really," George deadpans. "Sacred beverage, is it?"

"It is." Alex nods solemnly. "And my ancestors knew that the proper way was to pour milk first, then the tea. Unlike you - you colonizers."

George is lookimg at him now, asessing the situation. Alex tries to keep his face neutral, but something must give away his amusement, because George's eyes turn sly as he takes a step closer, then another, and another until he is too far in Alex's space. He smells like cardamom tea. He smells good.

"You are so full of shit, Alexander," George whispers, and leans in, his fingers digging into Alex's shirt, and Alex kind of forgets all about the tea very, very quickly.

One thing I'm looking forward to in future books is getting to know Elly more. Given her reserved nature, I wasn't able to get a good feel of her in book 1 (at least in the non ro path). I feel Book 2 helped rectify this by placing her in a position where her traits really shine, but due to those same situations, we weren't able to see her much.

Yeeeesss, I've been lookimg forward to that too! There will definitely be quality moments with Elly in Book 3 🤩
