Her heart stalls when you just look up at her with a smile, because you already know it. You see it in the way she remembers the little things you tell her. The way she’s always making sure you’re comfortable and happy, regardless of her mood or how stressful her own day was. She always puts your needs above her own, even if she doesn’t have to. “You are everything I need.” The words are a whisper, but they hit her right in her very soul and she can’t help the small smile that pulls at her lips when you nestle further into her embrace.

“Never like this,” You pull back to glance up at her with slightly raised brows, taking in the way her beautiful blue eyes sparkle when she looks at you. “You’re more of a poet than you seem.” The sentence is finished off with a chaste kiss to her jaw.

Your words have her face lighting up, her smile so sweet you’d have to brush your teeth just for witnessing it. 

Her voice is barely above a whisper when she responds.

“I guess you bring it out in me, angel.” There’s more she wants to say, it’s evident in the way she nibbles on her lip and her gaze flickers over your features. “I have something to ask you.” She sounds almost hesitant, or maybe nervous. But either way it has you curious.

You hum, fingers brushing through the longer strands of hair at the back of her head.

“Ask away.”

A moment passes before she takes a deep breath and says, “If I told you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, would you think I was crazy?” Her gaze is adoring, punctuated by the slightest furrow in her brows.

“No,” You pause, lips pulling into a smile. “Because I would tell you that I feel the exact same way.”

It’s jarring how fast her eyes widen and well with tears, her lashes fluttering as she rapidly blinks them away. 

“You’d… really want to be with me forever? Like, get married and grow old together?”

“I want everything with you.”

Her breath catches in her throat and she can’t keep it at bay this time, a lone tear tracking down her cheek and to her chin. But she doesn’t care, because she’s cupping your cheeks like you’re the most delicate piece of art and she’s pressing her lips to yours.

Even as you laugh, her expression doesn’t change.

“It doesn’t matter to me if we have a big fancy wedding or we just go down to the courthouse and elope. I don’t care if we have fancy flower arrangements or if we just pick some up from the local flower shop.” She pauses, catching her breath. “As long as I get to look in your eyes and say ‘I do’, I’ll be happy.”

Your eyes widen as her words sink in, lip trembling with overwhelming emotion.

“You have no idea how much that means to me.” You whisper, taking her hand and lacing your fingers together.

Jackson Heights | Sims 2 Residential Lot Download

This large 3+ bedroom, 3.5 bath home is built on a 3x4 lot and offers upscale elegance with a hint of laid back country charm.

It features a spacious backyard with mature shade trees, and a garden greenhouse.

If you like realistic looking homes there are a couple of roofing issues with this lot that I'll explain in just a little bit, but first, a tour!

Since the trees are so large in the back yard I've taken 2 different pictures to show it off:

Look! The garden even has a sprinkler system installed! (I'm notoriously bad about remembering to put these things in after I take preview pictures, so you get a blue-dome sprinkler cameo. 🎉)

Let's take a look at the floor plans:

...And the basement. The room with the treadmill in it can be turned into another bedroom, making this space a great apartment! I love Basements-especially ones that don't flood! Since there are no rules about egress windows on bedrooms in the game you can get lots more livable space in a relatively small home without the city safety inspector writing you up. 😁

As I mentioned earlier, there are a couple of things with this home that those of you who prefer realistic builds might not love, so I'll show you what I'm talking about.

See that sloped roof right up against the house creating a trough? Thankfully the Sims don't have this issue, but in real houses this would eventually lead to leaks.

Now for the second roof issue...

In order to get this round roof to sit on the 2nd floor properly, and not hover 10 ft above (seriously, EA/Maxis?), I had to make it larger than the room it's covering, which causes a shadow. Your shade loving plants will by thrilled, but you, maybe not so much. So now the decision is up to you. Will you love it? Or list it? 🤣

Everyone has been saying that it's only a matter of time before Azzi starts to contribute (not that she didn't contribute in the Oregon State game) but Azzi didn't just contribute last night; was definitely the biggest (not the only of course) reason we won. It was a one-possession game and momentum was without a doubt on Ole Miss's side and Azzi said fuck all of that and gave UConn an 8-pt cushion all by herself. And what won't reflect on the box-score is that her scoring those points did two things: it deflated Ole Miss and it energized UConn. She was just so good offensively and defensively; just an all-around performance and I'm just so incredibly proud. And you know what the best part is? Those 3s ain't even falling yet.

Casual 29 points for the NPOY, no biggie just Paige doing Paige things except you know MY Paige doesn't normally get 5 turnovers...jk jk because honestly she only should have had 3 (still "high" for her standard but also that's what Ole Miss hangs their hat on). That 1st half and that 4th quarter were just things of beauty. That's what you need your leader to do, set the tone and then finish things off. AND SHE FINALLY GOT SOME FTS!!

Sarah looked really good in the first half and then when Ole Miss got going, she looked a little shaken in the second half, emphasis on the little shaken because it was only really in terms of scoring, she was still doing all the little things. I've seen some discourse and I personally don't want Sarah to stop taking 3s because it's not like she takes bad ones and I think they're gonna fall and we need them to fall and they're not gonna fall if she stops taking them.

JANA!! She had some clutch has hell rebounds and some much-needed shots. I thought she had a really good game and a near double-double. She just looked really energized out there and I think she's only going to get better.

Ice had a up and down game. She definitely did a couple of things that frustrated me but also made some solid plays. I would have definitely liked a couple more points and a couple more rebounds but I think the hustle, that's been prevalent the last few games, is still there.

Ash needed more shots which is partially on her but also I feel like she was getting plays ran for AND her teammates weren't doing the best job of finding her. It feels like the aggression, particularly on offense, of the first two games had dwindled a little bit and she's in a bit of a slump. Also two of Paige's 5 turnovers, probably belong to her because girl what was you doing?

We definitely need more point production from KC but I thought she had a very stabilizing presence last night and did a pretty good job running the offense in the 4th.

KK hadn't made me want to scream at her for driving into traffic and getting blocked like clockwork in a couple of games and so of course OF COURSE she had to do it last night. But I do think she matched Ole Miss's energy well and I liked that one drive she had. She needs to look to score like that more.

Which brings me back to that KC-KK discourse, I still think the KK-Paige-Azzi-Sarah-Jana/Ice lineup is our strongest but I also did really like the KC-Paige-Azzi-Sarah-Jana that we used to end the game and was I believe the prominent lineup throughout the 2nd half. So I think my general opinion is that it doesn't matter who starts because ultimately it's gonna be a opponent-driven decision and it's good to have that option.

I love Paige and Azzi and I love that they had good games but I'm ngl, looking at that box score and seeing so many people with only 2 pts did not please me at all.

Blowing leads is becoming a recurring thing and as much as I think it's good character building for this team right now because as Geno says you learn more from overcoming the Ole Miss run than if you had stretched it 30, it is a little concerning that it's a bit of a pattern. And again this is only their 5th game and it was their first true test and also ofc only their 3rd having Azzi so I'm not necessarily super worried, but it is something I'mma keep my eye on.

But overall I'm just really proud of this team. They got punched in the 3rd and they punched back and I'm hoping to see a lot more punching in the upcoming games.

Notes:

In general, keep in mind that obviously as we kept assigning characters, the options for the remaining plays got more limited, so some of them are kinda odd.

We did not go in chronological. It was pretty random. Every character gets a 1st lead and 2nd lead.

There were a couple I remember immediately assigning. Rei in Nocturnality (haha), Keito and Shinobu in Literary Impasse, Sora in Love Out of Left Field, Mika in the Clockwork Heart (lmao...)

For the most part we thought of the 1st and 2nd leads individually, which is why some of the pairs are bizarre. In general we were thinking of "who (probably) has the physical capability" and then "who could (maybe) fill the personality"

After the initial ones, we decided to go through every Autumn slot first, since the requirements for the genre are a little harder to fill with most of the enstars characters

Then we did the rest of the 1st leads. After a while the thought process just kinda got down to "big guy or little guy" bc of limited options sbdbfjfnf

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE 4 FROM 2023. No thought was put into Moon Traveler bc I couldn't find ANY INFORMATION ON THE ACTUAL PLAY. I'm sorry. Good luck to Subaru who has to fill whatever role Chikage plays.

Bc Nomadic Bartender was one of the last ones and I was kinda left with just little guys of the main idols, it ended up being the one filled by the teachers (the leftover play was either gonna be the teachers or 4piece. I'm not gonna make a 12 year old play a bartender although the idea is VERY FUNNY)

My Hero Academia : You're Next reaction and thoughts

This movie has a couple of highlights, I think the main one being that Giulio saved Anna from her quirk. She deserved a chance to have a normal life and Giulio was had Class 1a to support him in not needing to kill her (I love this guy. He's so fucked up and adorable I want to squeeze him). This message actually carries over to the main story, and would make great fodder for why Deku, Ochako, and Shoto would want to save their respective opponents in the war (if only the latter two did actually get to take greater part in it tho...)

As usual though I wish that BNHA wrote their female characters better. The dream villain has no punch to her except for the dream thing, and I am damn sick of BNHA giving their female characters "softer" quirks. BNHA 2 and 3 had female villains who actually had fighting quirks (sharp hair and archer), so why was she just...standing there. At least we have Mirko kicking ass like usual.

Christ all fucking mighty you give Momo the role of being a genius strategist which is used in the show but never in the damn movies. God I hate just having to see Iida, Deku, Bakugo, Shoto, etc. do all the leading when she is RIGHT THERE. Her dream is...drinking perfect tea??? DRINKING TEA??? I'M SO MAD FOR MAKING HER THIS SHALLOW.

SHOJI, SHOTO, even OJIRO'S dream was so much more interesting and in character than whatever the fuck they gave Momo. This feels like a damn bare minimum why do they just not write Momo as a character dear god.

Shoto's dream was such a punch in the damn gut, and so was Shoji's and Iida's, but god forbid we are able to dive deeper into the meaning and feelings behind these dreams at all in the movie, or even TALK ABOUT THEM AT ALL AFTERWARD.

Ochako's quirk is literally made for dealing with collateral damage and falling debris, which this movie has a shit ton of, and she NEVER got her own cool sequence of doing it. Others in Class 1A have action shots but NOT YOUR MAIN GIRL??? I'll even add salt to my own wound in thinking about how Deku and Ochako don't have any deeper discussion about saving a normal girl from her horrible circumstances, or about their relationship at all.

Hell, I'd say that a whole problem I have with this whole movie is that the characters hardly had any interesting chemistry with each other??? Todobaku fighting side by side was an amazing treat to watch, and being in sync is amazing. Bakugo just being himself and even leading people, being so supportive, was really amazing. But some more banter, conversation, dialogue, about themselves or their circumstances or relationships is so lacking here...(if you chalk it up to just "oh they're too busy fighting" then hell no there was so much leeway for something more fun and interesting.)

This is absolutely not hate towards the character whatsoever, but I am legit struggling to see why Tokoyami is given so much cool screentime? Like narratively or thematically speaking??? He went with The Origin Trio to fight the final bad guys??? If they think he's so cool maybe they could have given something more deep about this character in general I don't know man alsdjkflaksd

As amazing as the animation is (which is incredible spectacle), I am baffled at the sheer lack of strategizing, especially from Deku. It mostly felt like a massive "beat the shit out of them" and it worked? I guess??? Not even being able to further decipher Dark Might's quirk and weaknesses and for the other villains (aside from tdbk, they funnily get the biggest win from all this).

I do quite like Giulio for being the horrendously duty-driven butler guy with only support items carrying him 2nd mc that he is. However I do also wish that Anna was written as a character more as well than being the definition of a damsel in distress I guess. Haiya...Dark Might never interested me much either and all the things Deku was saying to him were exactly what you'd expect from him, but honestly I thought there would be more depth to it especially after he just came back from being a self-destructive vigilante.

If you wanted your antagonist to be an All Might wannabe fighting against post-vigilante Deku, it could have centered more on how that is literally something you do not want to do (since it is killing Toshinori, hurt Deku, make society overly reliant, not empathetic to villains/victims etc). I feel like we're already over the whole "strength and fame doesn't make a hero" thing at this point, so this was honestly such a mid concept. The whole "making a villain with swagger and dance to make them more evil" and all talk about strength just feels old to me atp, especially it has a gayness in a bad way to it. Yeah nothing about him was interesting to me, even after revealing his past with his dad. He's so laughably straight-up evil and Anna is really just a sacrificial damsel in distress so...yeah that's that.

The thing I am personally most pissed about when it comes to this movie isn't even about the movie, it is that it's probably taking away the work and budget for Season 8, because GOD I hope they do the last season justice and stop putting this much effort into things really don't add to the main story. Please just work on Season 8 please I don't need this animators to suffer more for another movie okay.

TLDR: 6.5/10 It is a mid movie. Animation is great, lovely to watch to turn your brain off to. Best part was that Anna was saved by Giulio, but otherwise it is pretty bland in its story and characters if you ask me. If you think otherwise, do share what you like about it because it might help my enjoy it more.

I wanted to do 10 of these but it turns out that I've only watched 8 of 2024 dramas lol

Rewatched a few of my faves but I'm not rating those.

These will have spoilers. So here goes

1. Flex x Cop 10/10 !!

✅ This drama has a special place in my heart. It's crime, action-hero and it made me fall in love all over again with non-romance drama

✅ Park Ji Hyun as Lee Gang Hyun 🫡. (in another news I'm gonna go look up her latest work) I've only seen her as the annoying 2nd fl before this and she was great in this one. She broke the mold of annoying 2nd fl and is an independent, capable and cool-headed detective

✅ There's no dark past whatsoever. She just loves her job. And she may seem judgemental and prejudiced towards I Soo at first but she learned that I Soo is not just another arrogant chaebol as they work together; it's that he's actually an arrogant, smart, caring and resourceful chaebol lol

✅ Jin I Soo? I love him. Arrogant chaebol with a golden heart who has a clumsy way of showing he's not heartless definitely will have my heart. He's smart, he's funny and he's shameless 100/100 😂

✅ What makes a story much more interesting for me is banters. Yessss banters. Their relationship is fun even w/o romance. They trusted each other, even tho it all started on the wrong feet

✅ Gang Hyun's parents is also a highlight for this drama :))

2. Eye Love You 3/10 (dropped)

I'm sorry. I tried to love this.

❌ I do watch jdramas and jmovies but this was just simply wasn't it for me.

❌ I wanted to love it because of Chae Jeong Hyeop, but bulldozer sunshine is not my vibe. I dropped it like halfway thru?

✅ The fl's office is really nice tho. And the fl is really funny, that, I remember well.

The suspension of disbelief simply wouldn't suspend the disbelief for me for this one :||

3. Serendipity's Embrace 6/10

❌ This could've been shorter. There I said it. XD. Yes shorter than 8

✅ I love love Hye Ji, Hong Joo's best friend.

✅Hoo Yeong's uncle was relatable, sad and single,

❌ tho I wish he didn't have that weird first love line thing with Hong Joo's boss too. That was just uncomfortable

❌ And what about Hoo Yeong, you ask? Well..... tbh..... I don't really like broody mls. I'm not a fan of those 'he treats her specially nice because he loves her but to everyone else he's just cold'. I'm not a fan of that because I am an anxiety-driven gal and this trait simply doesn't vibe with me

✅ It's funny that Hong Joo's ex was Kim So Hyun's rival in her previous drama tho (My Lovely Liar) Mr. Yoon Ji On 👀

Which leads me to....

4. Love Next Door 4/10

Ha ha ha hahaha

❌ As you can probably guess from the poster of this drama I used which is of the side character Jeong Mo Eum, I simply couldn't stand the main couple

❌ Actually I did loved the main couple initially. I even defended the ml after the first 4 episodes, but then... I took a step back metaphorically and realized that his behavior and the fl's family behavior grated my teeth so much

❌ They kept nagging at the fl. Everything the fl did was wrong to them. She was not allowed to have her own views or that they didn't want to see things from her perspective

❌ Personally, I've met these kind of people irl and the suspension of disbelief and rose colored glasses couldn't do their jobs for this drama for me

❌ I dislike both the family and the ml until the end. The ml is whiny and entitled. That's it.

I hope she divorces him and run away from the neighborhood in the future lol

✅ Kang Dan Ho and Jung Mo Eum were so cute tho. And as all the other side couples ever, they deserved more screen time and development.

I'm looking forward to future works of Yoon Ji On. He's the reason I started this drama initially lol

5. What Comes After Love 7/10

After the disappointment that was the previous drama, I watched this.

Ok, here's what I learned. I can read melodrama (?) novels, but I need to use 1.25/1.5x speed when I'm watching slow dramas. Is it the adhd? Probably

Anyway

✅ This drama is so pretty. The contrast between the flashbacks when the couple was younger in Japan and the grayer aesthetic in Korea after their breakup is ✨✨✨

✅ I envy Lee Se Young for being able to speak Japanese so well for the drama lol. She really made me believe she spent her younger days in Japan.

✅ i love the side characters at the shop she worked at. The boss? So tall 👀

👀 I'm just surprised the ending implies that they're back together. After all that pain and those sad lingering looks

6. Fangs of Fortune 8/10

I know I was basically rambling about this drama for weeks and therefore you'd think it'd get full marks

✅ It's a fantastic story.

✅ Costume? 💯 So effin beautiful. So beautiful.

✅ Humor? 💯

✅ Characters? 💯 I love the characters to pieces, you don't even know. This is my Six of Crows cdrama version

✅ OST? 💯

❌ But then it relies sm on dramatics. And tears. Oh so much tears.

❌ And I may also be side eyeing the ending. Some people say it's a good ending, but I will agree to disagree. 🙂‍↕️

Edit : yes I've watched the extra episode and I don't like it still. Death is a very permanent thing imo lol and while his soul does come back, it's no replacement for the real person to me. I've never liked the death trope.

It's a bit traumatizing tbh lol 😂

7. Family By Choice 9.5/10

❌ I'm also dissatisfied with the development of the m/f main ship. I love them, they had the potential to be The OTP for me but then the didn't really get developed, possibly because they were kinda already established before the event of the story, in a way, and so the storyline focused more on ZYC and ZYZ flip flopping relationship....so yh. It's fantasy with a dash of romance

And I went into the drama after seeing cute spoiler scenes of Wen Xiao and ZYZ so yeah... I was on the Train bound for Disappointment Terminal

✅ This drama welcomed me like a loaf of warm bread, blanket and warm chocoa after the pain of FoF

✅ Yoon-sajang is the best dad in kdrama land. He's the president of Good Dads of Kdrama. 💐 💐 🫡

✅ Glad that Kim Sanha's mum was not redeemed at the end. She just backed away after being a complete and utter bitch with no self-awareness. Thank you for not redeeming her.

✅ plsssss I love Hwang in Yeop as this gentle boyfriend 👀🤗

✅ This is such a warm drama, a family drama of the year for me. I know I'll rewatch this a lot

My issues are only that

❌ I need more episodes 😔😔 xD

❌ Kim Sanha's issues didn't really have their own proper build up closure. The focus was too much on Hae Jun's 😔 when Sanha is also one of the main characters. Not to mention Juwon as one of the trio? ://

8. The Story of Pearl Girl 9/10

(my sister is obsessed with both Liu Yuning and Zhang Linghe and tried to get me to watch their dramas; Princess Royal, and My Journey to You and Story of Pearl Girl,

I can't watch another Edward Guo's drama for the time being so I chose Princess Royal which I haven't finished but I'm loving, and The Story of Pearl Girl which I have!)

What is it about cdramas and death of the main lead idek smh

✅ Ik this drama let a lot of people down for some reasons but I'm guessing it didn't let me down partly because I started it after it ended lol. So the binging was great!

✅ I think it fits that it's the story of pearl girl; that is Duanwu, we watch her grow from this hotheaded determined girl into a capable smart businesswoman Su Muzhe

✅ while Zhijing's story began with him being at the top of his game, hunting down the people who killed his family as a merchant, then he learned to love and learned that his actions have consequences to his loved one

✅ It's not his story, but it's the story of the pearl girl, so I guess goodbye was in due time. Poetic or something something

✅ The way they fell in love with Duanwu being the only person who questioned him and then kind of got under his skin. 🤌🏻🤌🏻

✅ I love how Kang Ju implied a couple times that Duanwu was growing more and more like Zhijing; calculating, resourceful, and smart, that by the end I think it's poetic that she becomes the successful businesswoman. Apart from her own very capable brains, she also learned from a lot of people who were basically not very good, who were good to her, and Zhijing himself; the strategist

✅ That 1.9m guy and the 1.6ish gal. Love the height difference 🤌🏻

✅ Kang Ju, the best not third wheel 😆

I was informed that in the novel Zhijing dies and afterwards Duanwu marries Zhang Jinran and they have a child. They didn't go down this route in the drama

And ngl, I quite like the novel ending. Zhang Jinran is a good guy and he's not an annoying 2ndml

Moving on is not a bad thing imo, it simply means the character found love again. It doesn't mean they've forgotten their previous love

And I'm quite partial to the idea that for the drama, Zhijing didn't die, but went on a journey to find an antidote with Kang Ju.

Pls... If they're not gonna straight up show him being buried or stabbed like ZYZ in FoF, I'm not gonna believe that he dies 😆 let me die on this hill.

I've Got A Few Thoughts

I'm still processing some of this, so I may have something more inciteful later, or I may not feel as strongly as I do now about a few things.

1st, I had a moment there when I really thought they may let Hen lose Denny. That would have been horrible beyond belief. Fortunately, they came through, and I thought it really gave us a few good HenRen moments.

2nd, loved the small Chim moments. He really delivers when he's in a scene. There wasn't a whole lot of Madney, but Jee really shined everytime they showed her.

Overall, another really good episode. I love seeing so much of Buck. I can't argue with a shirtless Oliver Stark either. He leads, I'll follow. I have to say I think I've allowed myself to be too hopeful though about a few things. I didn't necessarily think that Buck or Eddie would individually realize their feelings in this episode, but I really thought that something would happen to make them both look closer at their feelings. I didn't really see that happen. Eddie's confessional in a couple of weeks doesn't appear to be inspired by anything within this episode. I thought something big would happen to him personally, or I thought what happened with Hen and Denny might push him, but there really wasn't enough to make me think that either. It makes me doubt my overall predictions. I've been taking for granted that Eddie is definitely coming out. I've said before it's this season or it will not happen. Now, I'm thinking if they don't take this current opportunity in episode 6, it might not happen. We'll see. Once the episode has sunk in more and I'm able to sort through it more slowly, I might feel differently.

A few notes, everyone was saying how unsupportive Tommy was going to be through all of this, and really he was no worse than Eddie, who also laughed at Buck and rolled his eyes, so if the fandom is being honest, you can't come at one without coming at the other.

Personally, I'm low-key mad at both Eddie and Tommy. I get not believing in curses and ribbing him a little, but Buck believed it so thoroughly. He needed some comfort. In the end, Tommy was the one that showed up for Buck at his ceremony for Billy Boils. I still don't want him as endgame, but I didn't see anything in his behavior that was worse than Eddie. I wasn't expecting that. Buck's speech was adorable though.

I saw so many people trying to rub all the Buddie content we've been getting in the faces of BuckTommy shippers that I feel Karma swung back. I'm sure they're laughing tonight. That's why I don't like to throw Buddie as endgame in their faces. Karma is a real thing. lol

hi!! i loveee Hinny! honestly, as i'm not really interested in HP ships, even though i've always shipped Hinny, it took me a while to really start paying attention to them. it's actually Tumblr that encouraged my interest in Hinny because of all the lovely posts i've seen.

to people who say "Hinny came out of nowhere" -- alright, the returned feelings from harry's end may have seemed sudden, but a lot of people insist that they had no relationship at all-- which is a big lie. after all the drama in 2nd year, their relationship clearly began to build from 5th year-- probably 4th year, even, since Harry stayed over that summer (but maybe not so much-- i get the impression that Ginny was still a bit shy around him then). they were clearly progressively growing closer as the years passed- the summer at Grimmauld Place, the fight at the Ministry, the summer at the Burrow in '96, --and when you consider these, Harry's feelings for her did not "come out of nowhere". the whole being-possessed-by-Voldemort conversation really throws light on the unique connection Harry and Ginny had, shared trauma which no one else could understand-- which neither had realised before.

i love Ginny's character. i believe it's a perfect match for Harry-- if you remember, in fifth year, when he was being all moody and snapping at everyone trying to speak to him, Ginny was talking back to him with no hesitation.

'They do, do they?' said Harry, glaring at Ron and Ginny. Ron looked down at his feet but Ginny seemed quite unabashed. 'Well, you have!' she said. 'And you won't look at any of us!'

yes, Hermione had been taking the lead in this particular situation, considering she'd been the one to drag Harry out of Buckbeak/Walburga's room, but throughout the book, Hermione, too, is clearly not keen on getting Harry angry and often gets nervous when he does.

He (Ron) looked helplessly at Hermione, whose face was stricken. 'Harry,' she said timidly, 'don't you see? This… this is exactly why we need you… we need to know what it's r-really like… facing him… facing V-Voldemort.'

Ginny doesn't. It's quite a remarkable development in her character actually-- once the little girl who was a stuttering, clumsy mess around Harry, Ginny now had zero hesitation when talking back to Harry. if Harry wants to argue, she doesn't stop him- she allows him to have that outlet of energy. She's incredibly brave, passionate about Quidditch, has a no-nonsense attitude, quips back cleverly if anyone tries to insult her or the people she loves-- and she cares. this mostly became a post about Ginny-- but honestly, when people attack Hinny, it's always Ginny they're focusing on, isn't it?

So, I found this draft of a Harry Potter/Riordanverse AU I wrote a couple years ago while going through my drafts and decided to reread it, and now I'm sad that it isn't finished and I have too many wips to devote time to it? Like it's 8 chapters and still isn't even that close to the climax because it was a full novel length, and that's devistating because the way I combined both medias is actually genius, if I do say so myself.

Because I'm actually really proud of how I worked this, I'm going to explain some of the plot points I just reread.

The story follows Leo, a sixth year Ravenclaw, and Piper, a sixth year Slytherin, who are trying to solve the death of their best friend, Jason Grace, who died suddenly only a week after his 16th birthday.

The Ministry of Magic isn't giving them any information, but at Jason's funeral (a large event as Jason was realitively known at Hogwarts as a Quidditch player and Gryffindor Prefect, and because he was the son of the Minister for Magic), Jason's older cousin's girlfriend (a seventh year Slytherin prefect, Annabeth) (she's in Slytherin because he fatal flaw is hubris, I am not taking criticisms) mentions she thinks the Death Eaters have something to do with it.

Which is crazy because it's 2010 and Voldy Smorts has been dead for 12 years, get with the program man.

But nope, turns out Annabeth's old babysitter, and Jason's older sisters old friend, Luke Castellan, is up to something. Annabeth shows Leo and Piper his picture on the computer she's programed with magic, and Leo asked to see it under the guise of writing down some codes to attempt and recreate it.

He actually just takes all the information from Annabeth's laptop on Luke's past. He's sneaky like that.

Oh and I forgot, Esperanza's death has to do with a Floo Powder incident when Leo was 8, so now Leo won't use Floo Powder. Oh, And Piper's mom's a veela because obviously.

A few weeks after the funeral, oh no! Mass Azkaban break out! The name Luke is all over the paper. Piper and Leo have their work cut out for them. Especially since they really can't follow many leads over the summer because no magic for under 17yos outside school. A bummer indeed.

School starts, yay! We can finally magic. Annabeth's made headgirl (yay!) And her, Percy (a Hufflepuff, see previous note on fatal flaws and me taking no criticism), and Grover (also Hufflepuff) go find Leo and Piper on the train. Mainly so Annabeth can scold Piper for forgetting to go to the prefect meeting.

They split up with the seventh years, and the cart they go on (Leo can see Theastrals obviously, Piper cannot) is occupied only by a little second year.

So Meg's like "I hate Sherman Yang" and Teddy's like "???" And Austin's like, "Yeah, he was walking to slow and Meg kicked him.

Piper freaks them out by loudly saying to Leo "did I tell you what happened in the prefect meeting" — she didn't go to the prefect meeting, she just likes freaking kids out with her power and she's an icon for it.

She doesn't have any intention on giving Meg detention though

Austin's doing a saxophone solo at the opening feast with the Frog Choir! Go Austin!

Oh I forgot to say, Meg and Austin are Hufflepuffs and Kayla's a Gryffindor. Meg knows Kayla and Austin through their father, Lester, who's basically Meg's guardian and is going to adopt her soon, and Meg and Teddy are both 2nd year Hufflepuffs so they're friends.

Austin's a 3rd year and Kayla's a 4th year.

Back to the plot, opening feast, sorting Leo is not paying attention to, so his roommate (I just put a filler name in here, but change it to Christopher or Shane from the Hephaestus cabin) keeps elbowing him for every kid sorted into Ravenclaw so Leo can wolf whistle like he's been paying attention.

Minnie McG, aka iconic headmistress of the century (and I adore her) goes up after the feast is over, and they have a moment of silence for Jason and everyone raises their wands /*

Leo does not follow the Ravenclaw prefects back to Ravenclaw tower because he's about to cry and crying in front of people is a big no go.

So he ends up in a random hallway of the castle he's never seen before and this ghost of a girl asks him how he's feeling

AND IT'S HAZEL LEVESQUE, I FORGOT I MADE HER A GHOST SO SHE COULD STILL BE BORN IN 1928

Turns out the tower collapsed in 1942 and killed Hazel, so she haunts that one hallway. Doesn't really interact much, since people rarely go there, it's a bit out of the way.

And that's where it ends

I think I have a vague recollection of what it's to come. Teddy definitely had a major part in it, because I love him, he's my favorite, and I think Hazel did too. I just remember being very serious about making sure the timelines added up.

So, without further ado, here are my top 5 fave fics from last year:

5. That Healing Touch - Missing scene fic of Eddie helping patch up Steve's injuries at the Mayfield trailer, set during 4x08. This is the quintessential type of fic I like to write (and read)--there's hurt/comfort, there's banter, it's canon compliant while fleshing out potential moments between these two even more. I really enjoyed letting Steve be vulnerable with Eddie, as it shows the trust growing between them that feels subtle but clear in the final episodes of Season 4.

4. Mer-May I Have This Kiss - A mer!Steve fic for Mer-May! I've written a lot of Steddie fics the past couple years with my wonderful RP partner @inkfowl, and I just love the sweetness of this cute little one-shot that basically ran away with us one afternoon. I'm not sure I could truly pick a single favorite fic we've done together, as they all have something different and so fun to offer, but this is definitely one I come back to time and again when I want a little pick-me-up.

3. Girls Like Girls Like Boys Do (Nothing New) - Always-A-Girl!Steve/Nancy fic for Stevie Week. I wrote this one pretty quickly leading up to and during the event, and I'm proud of how all the pieces gelled in the final project. It was a fun exploration, thinking about how things would unfold differently for Stevie (vs. Steve) while still keeping the major elements of Season 1 the same (still popular, still besties with Tommy and Carol, still falls in love with Nancy--which obviously has very different ramifications here). This is a 'verse I think about coming back to again, though a Season 2 follow-up would have some pretty heartbreaking moments.

2. Living Dead Boy - I'm a sucker for horror movie tropes, so I really enjoyed getting to explore that aspect of Stranger Things a bit more in this fic! A peek into Steve's psyche as he tries to make sense of the world he's living in through the lens of the 'role' he'd be given in a slasher flick. This one is by far my most experimental in style with the 2nd person POV from Steve, but I feel like it came together really well here. It's on the shorter side, and I purposefully kept things quite a lot darker and more ambiguous than I usually do.

1. you wanna feel how it feels (let's exchange the experience) - This is still very much a WIP and is shaping up to be a long one. But bodyswap is one of my favorite tropes and getting to play around with it with these boys is an absolute blast! The trope allows for a lot of interesting character study into both Steve and Eddie as individuals plus their dynamics with each other and the rest of the cast, which I'm a huge fan of. This fic really is pure self-indulgence of writing exactly what I want, so it holds a very special place in my heart.
