strange au thought i had.

so what if au where all the events of the first two games, udg, and the anime happened right? but while the rest of the world has made huge advancements in healing from the apocalypse and is mostly back on it's feet, Towa city is still really rough. Thanks to having been the center of operations it's struggling alot more to get back on it's feet and is curently severly crime riddled and run down.

despite this there are infact people living there, but due to the shittiness of the place it's more like a pirson than a city, and any efforts to get out and find greener pasture are akin to crabs in a bucket. enter the V3 cast, who all live in this shithole city. they aren't ultimates in this au, and actually i think it'd be better if HPA shut down post apocalypse.

there's alot of stories you could tell with this setup, but this is the saiouma channel so i got thoughts for them.

for Shuichi i imagine he became a detective in this au- not out of enjoyment of the work- but because his uncle's agency is constantly swampped with cases because of the absurd amount of crime in Towa, and Shuichi felt the need to try and help lesses the load. he often ends up dealing with the petty criminals while his uncle gets hired on for the more dangerous cases.

Kokichi and DICE are one of the many gangs that roam Towa's streets, their one defining trait outside of their iconic gitups is the fact that they have no killings on their reccord. despite the insanity of the city Kokichi keeps his rule about no killing, at worst having to resort to non lethal harm like shattering bones with bullets to get what they need to done without loosing rep and getting targeted more by other gangs.

because DICE is primarily a petty crime gang with only a few turf skirmishes and broken bones on their reccord, Shuichi often ends up the one dealing with them. this of course resulting in some prime saiouma cat and mouse conditions.

i have more thoughts on this au but their not importaint for the prompt, so i'll stop yammering here

Emio ARG Update (I guess??) (written 7-15-24)

So... currently I'm going through the Nitter account and translating every since instance of Japaneese text.

Here's some noteworthy stuff I found using this translator and my thoughts on these things. As to how accurate this is I dunno but I think this'll give us a decent idea of what the Japaneese text on the Nitter account.

There seems to be an emphasis on music when it comes to the marketing of this game I think. The trailer featuring only the lil' snippet of music and the mystery audio from the Nitter account (it's not there anymore but I reuploaded the snippet here in case if y'all wanna do anything with it).

My theory: something happened to possibly the Smiling Man (who may or may not have also been a victim of domestic violence, however maybe there's a chance he could be a domestic abuser himself) during a live preformance of sorts that drove him mad and made him what he is now.

... Corinne. We've all been asking who tf Emio is but ABSOLUTELY NOBODY IS ASKING WHO TF CORINNE IS. Damn the questions are really starting to pile up here, huh? Perhaps Corinne could be somebody the Smiling Man (assuming he's the one asking this question) was super close to. Maybe a former lover? Hell, maybe the character the play as.

Those were just some of the more note-worthy posts I found. There's more but I either thought they weren't as importaint or I just had no clue what to make of them.

As you may or may not know, the account has been changing its username from E...? or something like that to adding more letters to spell out Emio... or so peole thought. Today, this is what the account changed its name to. Emi. Just Emi. Perhaps another character? Or, and this is a stretch, an alter ego of the Smiling Man (assuming he's named Emio)? Who knows...

I kind of failed this week to post my Stardew Valley fic. The last two chapters are going to need some more work. Chapter four should be coming out tomorow.

I love fandoms that pop up around stuff like Goncharov where there's practically no original work. I kind of want sometimes that people stop trying to find the Go for a Punch anime. Not because I wouldn't want the anime to be real. From what I heard it sounds fucking awesome. Shoujo Tsubaki is one of my favorite movies of all time. Probably because it reminds me of my favorite book Lolita.

The reason why I want people to stop searching for the anime is that Saki Sanobashi to me is the fanart and fanfiction. Saki Sanobashi can be so many things. But once we would find the anime, it would be one definitive thing.

Do you understand what I'm getting at?

Anyway. Here are some of my personal ideas for the story of Go for a Punch:

Saki (the girl in the picture) is a personification of the bathroom. The bathroom being like a Lovecraftian creature that feasts on people that commit suicide in it. First trapping people that have suicidal thoughts and then having Saki convince them to go through with it. Kind of like the view from half way down. Where you know you're going to die for certain but you're still alive. Maybe Saki is even a comforting presence, helping people to the other side.

The bathroom could be like a purgatory where you end up when you attempt suicide. I remember there's this girl in one of the summaries of the anime that is super optimistic about getting out the bathroom. She could represent life and Saki would represent death. Each of them trying to convince you that she's right with philosophical arguments.

In the first case I imagine that at first you would think Saki is just one of the girls. She then subtally manipulates all the girls into killing themselves leaving her the last one standing. All the bodies dissapear. Saki maybe smiles to herself. Then when the new girl wakes up in the bathroom and Saki pretends like she too just got there. Repeating the whole cycle.

The second case would be far more hopeful. Because some of the girls will get out of the bathroom in the end. Once again it wouldn't ever be said that Saki or the other girl are like supernatural beings. At first you would think that they are just like the other girls, ordinary highschoolers. At the end you would realize that maybe there was something more going on with those two.

In both cases the bathroom would be like a school one. And all the girls would be in a school uniform. Yeah. In the original they are suposed because anime got to anime. But in my versions the girls would committ suicide because of school bullying so the school thing is pretty importaint. They would also be from diffrent schools, so they wouldn't know each other before the bathroom. Maybe at the end of the second case two girls that survive by becoming friends end up meeting in the real world.

It's really late where I am. So I got to end this post quick. I don't feel like writting a fanfiction based off these ideas at the moment. For the first time in my life really I'm getting the help I need and I don't want to screw up my relatively stable mind thinking about the philosophy of suicide. Maybe when I'm going to feel better. But when I feel better then I tend to gravitate to happier subject matter.

ok so brawlhalla has stages and shit, right? and platforms are a big part of differentiating between stages, since where they are affects attack placement, disadvantage, neutral, ledgeguarding, and whatnot enough for there to be preference and c

well, if you want really piss the pants off a orb main, rare as they are, then take them to this fucking stage: Plains of Passage

"oh, but why there?" I hear you asking, "What makes this one so abhorrent to orb, best of weapons?"

well, apart from the little annoyances like it's moderately large ledges and its medium to slightly small size, the big problem here is its most defining feature: that bigass platform over the middle of everything that is constantly in the fucking way!

there are many irritating things about this platform, from it breaking up ground neutral to providing a shield for players trying to shark falling opponents, but the specific quirk of this platform that i hate is how it's height interacts with orb's best move, down air (or dair)

the platform is at such a height so that a full hop is not enough to land on it, but just barely. this is a problem because if you full hop dair with a specific timing, it fucking bounces off the platform.

"Oh, but how often does that really matter?" A whole fucking lot. because fullhop dair is one of orbs best air to ground pokes, and its basically the other half of landing dair in orbs weirdo dair zoning.

still don't belive me? i did the math. in my most recent match on this stage, i attempted a total of 25 downairs. of those, i only hit one. that's not too terrible, i tend to spam this move to make space. but normally i dont have a platform there to steal FUCKING SEVEN OF THEM

THATS FUCKING 28%. 28% OF MY NEUTRAL GOT STUFFED BY THIS WIDEASS MOTHERFUCKER. ALMOST A THIRD OF MY POKES WERE FUCKING STOLEN CALL THE POLICE

and thats not even mentioning this fucking bullshit!

This is a fucking Downair Interupt Short Change! a glitch i named in an earlier post that i thought was exclusive to ledge, and dismissed as harmless! WHAT THE HELL IS IT DOING HERE????

I can barely belive it- i got DISC'd in an actual fucking match! What the hell is this platform???

to be fair, only 5 of these were fullhop dairs, and the only one that was anywhere near likely to hit if the platform was't there was this one

which was a double jump dair after a dodge instead of a fullhop dair, but since shields, and thus, the concept of 'out of shield options', dont exist in this game, its a really importaint aspect of the game to be able to punish someone attacking your dodge, and the amount of times i should be fucked over by a platform should be zero

"but cant this happen on other stages too? why are you complaining about this one in specific?" because on the few other stages with platforms at this height either have them at ledge, only have one, and/or very rarely and only for short time periods let them hang over center stage, and center stage is the main space you want to control!

I don't care if dair whiffs! it's supposed to whiff! its supposed to just boop the opponent away for being too bold in their approach or scare them into being more careful! but when the half of the stage i want to control in the first place has this biggass platform that blocks my pokes half the time, it not only reduces the scare factor of dair zoning, it psychs me out! i got so tilted after this match that i lost the next two, and then i came and made this very post!

to be clear, i have no problem with this stage being in the game or the people who made it this way. i know from playing this game for a while and trying my hand at making my own platformers that fall-through platforms are hell to program, and that this is probably the best solution they could come up with without reinventing the wheel. thats all fine, and the only part of this that seems like an actual bug instead of oddly implemented design is the DISC, and thats so rare and frame perfect that its not a huge problem

its just so fucking frustrating to be trying to play your gameplan and the orb you just threw makes a fucking wrong turn. orb players, be wary of this and all platforms. orb haters, play on this stage. i guarentee it'll piss them off

As a neurodivergent of whom is interested in childish things, to cope with trauma and regain a sense of nostalgia, I tend to gravitate towards things people might deem as a "waste of money".

I'm always expected to look older, act older. Be more mature, and then act my age at the same time. And it seems the one time I do, and I let that childlike fascination out, I am laughed at, ridiculed and just not understood.

I dont really know what people want from me, it hurts more when it's someone that is supposed to understand you, like a parent or guardian. I have been struggling to unmask around ANYONE recently, and the one time I do, I get told my interests aren't importaint and yo just forget about it, and laughed at in the middle of a store.

It might sound like I'm being dramatic, but it struck a chord in me, and I've just realised that that childlike nostalgia that I once had, I'm not going to have again. Because they don't really want you to act your age, they want you to stay way from drugs and sex and be seen and hot heard the remaining time.

Its amazing to me, how that pure happiness and joy can diminish ever so quickly, almost as if it meant nothing in the first place. One of my mutuals one said that posting on tumblr is like screaming into a void, well all I can hope is that the void takes my rant and sadness and diminishes that too.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but for fucks sake, autism is hard.

The rest is up entirely for whatever you want to do, and you don't even have to stick with that! That's the beauty of the public domain!

also, if you like making humanoid designs, you may be pleased to hear that these designs can also be used in the Flatland setting, just in a different area. (they'd need gravity to pull them "down" and a surface to walk on, rather than swimming/flying like regular geometric Flatlanders do)

so if you wanted, you could have both those versions of Arthur Square be separate characters, who just exist in different regions of Flatland. You don't have to though, I just think it's a fun idea.

oh hi anon this is copy pasted from my notes app and i havent re read it in some weeks so excuse any weirdness lmao

what the fuck does ultimate supreme leader even mean.

in drv3 the talents are at their most central to the plot, rantaro lies about his because he knows he'll be targeted for being the ultimate survivor of the previous game, maki lies about hers because she knows she wont be trusted with the title of ultimate assasin, part of shuichis character arc revolves around his insecurity over his ultimate detective talent, kibos comidic effect comes from him being an ultimate only in title, having his abilities as the ultimate robot be incredibly and sometimes even below average, we see the cast receive their talents at the start of the game, the fake narrative has them give their talents up in protest of the gofer project, the fiction plot twist places emphasis on their talents and struggles around them being scripted and used to dehumanize them into living fictional characters, there are whole talent labs for the students of the ultimate academy for gifted juveniles

even in previous games where the talents arent such big points theyre still pretty importaint, hajimes entire conflict coming from the fact that hes talentless and went trough so much societal pressure he accepted being lobotimized just to have something he can call special, nagito even poking fun at him for being from the reserve course

looking purely at antagonists nagitos shines with his talent, the ultimate lucky student title being given to him in a raffle to select a random talentless person to join the academy, tying into his inferiority complex. the title of ultimate luck also ties into the luck cycle that dictates and completly ruined his life, his luck is also used for plot reasons when he survives his plan to murder himself and gets twogami killed instead, when he gets a soundproof room in ch4 which alongside sonias is used to point out the holes in gundhams story, to obtain the hopes peak file trough russian roulette, and having its last hurrah when he literally kills himself in order to have his luck rat out the traitor

but kokichis talent is utterly meaningless, not only is "ultimate supreme leader" a random bundle of words made incomprehensible by the addition of the adjective "supreme", that doesnt tell you anything about him, but we also never see his supposed leading skills utilized in the narrative, only being TOLD by his motive video that hes the leader of a SMALL gang, making the adjective "supreme" not only meaningless but nonsensical. his talent is so incredibly underutilized in the game that for most of it i was convinced he was lying about it and would be revealed to be the ultimate prankster or theif or even liar because those are skills he actually uses during the game, which would have made him a massive fucking hypocrite for ratting maki out which imo would have added intrest to his character

its an incredibly odd choice to make kokichis talent meaningless in my opinion considering that for most of the game hes the main antagonist and conflic creator, unlike the previous antag nagito who uses his luck to his favor at every chance he gets, kokichi doesnt do shit with his own talent, its completly meaningless to the narrative of v3 which again, is the game that emphasis the talents the most in the entire series (dr2 has an emphasis on them but its only brought up by nagitos admiration of his classmates and at the end of the game with the izuru reveal, unlike v3 which is focusing on the talents the entire duration of the game)

Hey, requesting a ramble; given the chance what singular thing would you change about Fairy Tale as a show?

What would you change about the fandom?

Blessed with the ability to ramble I'm gonna answer these out of order because one I want to actually go off about and the other I'm trying so hard not to be too negative with.

The fandom itself, I'm surprised to find, is still alive. Mostly for the manga, 100 Year Quest, and the Gajeel spin off apparently. Super cool love that for y'all.

But I think the general Fairy Tail fandom is very... Boring?

I don't want to be mean! Everyone has the right to enjoy fandom however they want of course! This is an attack on no one! Live your life! I love and respect you so much!!

Just like. 90% of the active fandom are infatuated with Natsu/Lucy exclusively, which I don't get at all. Coming from My Hero Academia, I saw how big the cast of this program was and really expected everyone to have their little Blorbo guy with their own niche content. Blurry screen caps and low quality images with "There he is the scrimblo!!" kind of nonsense.

Instead the entire place only cares about the Main Guys Smooching. There's no crack ships, there's no Tono Rabbits Stan accounts, there's no Some Gremlin Blorbo from my shows background character lovers and it's Really jarring?? And boring. Y'all boring.

If I could change anything about the fandom, I'd ask y'all to pick A Guy (gender neutral) and go rabid for them. There's so many guys of so many types in this program. Please fawn over someone other than the main 7.

Okay I'm worried about this post being annoying and too long so what I'd change about the show itself is going under a Read More

Really I want to change a LOT about the program itself. The execution, the treatment of most female characters, everything with Lisanna, the lore behind Magic, the Morals behind Magic. There's a lot to unpack here.

But if I absolutely had to pick one thing to change it's be the character's ages.

I found out recently that Mirajane is 19 in canon. Cana is 18. The oldest woman in the Guild before the 7 year time skip was Evergreen at 20. TWENTY. That's how old Bisca is when she gives birth to Asuka!! (roughly. Asuka doesn't have a canon age but she's somewhere between 5-6 based on how she acts)

I'm twirling this show's timeline on a fork like Spaghetti these girls are going to be 20+ and you're going to like it.

Here's my rough concept so far (this is for the beginning of the series, the wiki list their ending ages, after the two different 1 year time skips and the 7 year stasis)

I want to make Natsu the oldest of the dragon raised dragon slayers, but still roughly the same age as Grey. I'm thinking 23 or 24 for the both of them, with Gajeel close behind at 22, and Laxus just ahead at 25 or 26.

Lucy I want to be the youngest current member, so she can stay at 17-18, but I also want Erza to be young compared to the Raised By The Guild squad, so she's 19, maybe? Levy's 20-21, Cana's 23, and Juvia is 19-20, like Erza.

Mira gets the most change because I just think she should be pushing 30, maybe 27 or 28. Elfman about 3 or 4 years younger at 24 or 25, to keep him Grey/Natsu aged. Lisanna has about the same age gap, 3 or 4 years, making her somewhere between 20 and 22.

I really jangled up the Thunder Legion because apparently Bickslow is the oldest at 22 in canon. He's still 22 in this version but now he's the Thunder Baby. I wanted to keep Freed around the same age as Laxus, so 25, and Evergreen the same age as Mira, maybe a tad younger at 26-27. I like the idea of Bickslow being the youngest anyway, he's big but young and it fits with his personality. I'm tempted to make him 18, but your 20's are age of being dumb anyway so it's fine.

Macao and Wakaba are in their mid 30's at the beginning of the series, Reedus in his early 30's on par with Mira maybe older, with Warren, Max, and Mest all near mid 20's I think. I don't have exact numbers for them because I don't really know if they're meant to be Natsu's peers or not, but they all seem pretty young and stupid. Jet and Droy are the same-ish age as Levy, 20-22, with Jet being a year younger than them.

Wendy's hard because apparently she's 12 when we meet her, but she doesn't change at all in the next 2 years, which simply isn't how being on the cusp of puberty works. But I don't have as much wiggle room as I do with everyone else sense she's at the stage where she should be growing a lot so I'll just keep her 12-13.

Unrelated but Sting and Rouge being the same age as Wendy is the reason I hate the 7 year stasis thing. We deserve more age diversity in dragon slayers, I say. They can't all be a brisk 18, that's boring. Also how old is Erik??? Genuine question I cannot get a read on him.

The exceeds are also hard but it bothers me that supposedly they all hatched at the same time when they were supposed to be an entire lost generation (which for humans is about 20 years, cats about 2 years). Unfortunately I don't have a scale for how long they are expected to live, what their incubation period is like, how long their infancy to adulthood is, if Happy and Carla are even considered child bearing aged adults in their society at their canon age of 6, etc.

Still I think there should be a few years or so between them, so in order oldest to youngest of Earthland born Exceeds it's goes; Carla, Samuel, Lector, Happy, and Frosch. Also I wanna add right here unrelated to anything, Nadi is my second favorite Exceed, right behind Samuel. I love them.

I realize this causes a collection of problems with how the timeline reads, but considering the constant usage of 7 years never really came up in a meaningful way I am more than happy to tear that consistency apart.

New Splatfest inkoming!

wait hol up this splatfest again? wasn't this a splatfest in Splatoon 2 and in a Japan exclusive fest? just with a third option? eh screw it.

The splatfest will be held next month from the 11th (7 PM CDT) into the 13th (7 PM CDT). Not sure what the tricolor stage will be, though (I'll update this post when I find out!).

Me, personally, I'm goin' Team Money since you don't have to be well known to be rich, just successful (even though I'm not gonna be on Team Love I'll be cheering y'all on! love's also somewhat importaint to me but not like, you know, in a romantic sense. I just wanna be sure that people are actually happy with their partner/families :) ).

Anyways..

Obitos main profession and coping mechanisem is being an actor and he takes pride in it cuz that's the only thing no one can supass him acting is his thing

He has character shets in kamui and costumes he maintains

I think the many personas help him cope with his own personalrty disorders and identity issus

i think abt obito acting alot and i have do many ideas i want to write fics abt it

" i'm nobody and i don't want to be anybody" who is an actor when they aren't on the stage and acting

he'd say stuff like

" i'm first and formost an actor good actors hone there craft to mesmerize the whole crowed"

" good actors must be well versed in more then one art"

"good actors must be confidant in thier craft"

" a good actor must perform till the very end"

And so on telling himself that over and over agin . To him it dosen't matter anymore who he is or who he was aslong aa his performance was perfect . He's a perfectionist when it comes to acting

Obito making up characters to play or just characters to use in scenarios that never happen all kinds of disguises

I have a scene in my head where somone like let's say kakashi or naruto in a obito survives AU need him to do somthing and he's being akward abt it so the sugestion to act comes and it just goes like " okay just ac your name is scar you play a clam and calculated ninja from konoha ect " and obito claming dowen a bit pulling out a list

" okay question no 1 my character walks across a jar of candy how woud my character react to if he takes and eats candy how dose he do it ?"
