Rob Tolley, former London broker, recognises that unlike riding indoors, cycling outdoors involves maintaining balance on often difficult terrain. This can help to develop better reaction times and the ability to shift weight, as well as build confidence. Of course, it’s worth noting that cyclists can make their workouts as easy or intense as they wish, whether they are riding at home or outdoors; in terms of the latter, this can be done by increasing the indoor bike’s resistance or cadence level.
Transitioning from Outdoor to Indoor Cycling
For those who want to transition from cycling outdoors to indoors, it’s important to ensure that the fit on their static bike is as close as possible to that of their outdoor bike. This means, where possible, adjusting the seat height, the distance between the saddle and handlebars, and the height of the handlebars as necessary.

Luck was almost never on Remus Lupin's side. He was a disgusting, ravenous werewolf for one. His scars were off putting, puffed skin stretching all over his face and body. He wasn't born into a wealthy family, and he wasn't promised a successful future.
But Remus did well in school, he'll give himself that at least. Maybe not top of the class, but enough to feel good about it. And he had the most incredible friends, always supporting him during his 'time of the month', and constantly trying to set him up with girls they thought were his type. They never were.
Finding love was never really his priority anyways, his mind focused on school and keeping his beastly secret. Aside from that, he never believed that someone would be able to fall in love with a poor, ugly half-blood with cycle issues. Unfortunately, the world decided the throw the most perfect girl his way at the start of third year.
"Gryffindor!"
Remus was caught in such a daze from your confidence walking up to the sorting hat and your almost familiar blinding grin once your house was announced that he didn't catch your name at first. He forced his eyes away and straightened his posture as you begun walking towards the red and gold embellished table.
"Who is that?"
"Seriously Moons? That's Y/N, I told you guys she was starting this year."
So why did you have to be his best friend's sister?
You were just like James in the sense that you were unbelievably kind, and the definition of loyal. He's surprised you weren't sorted in Hufflepuff with how hard-working and honest you were. But then again, it made sense for you to be in Gryffindor with your brother, you were one of the bravest people he knew, taking risks and always standing up for yourself and others.
Even though you were his best friend's sister, he really didn't get to see you much when you first started at Hogwarts. Unless you counted his shy glances during study sessions, or tipsy stares over Friday night butterbeers. The two of you didn't have any classes together, because that would mean the world was being good to Remus Lupin.
He doesn't really know when he first started to feel differently about you, but remembers feeling touched when you had begun purchasing his favorite tea. It wasn't just any tea; it was the exact same healing peppermint tea that he would drink around the full moon. How did you even notice that? You would even go as far as to bring it to his room in a warm mug, with a little too much sugar in it. But he would never bring it up to you as you could do no wrong in his eyes.
Fortunately while the other boys were trying to figure out if you knew his secret, he was grinning to himself behind closed maroon curtains. The boys cared about him, obviously. They had even been talking about becoming animagi to help him during his transformations. But to be seen by you, understood on another level that only you knew, caused a herd of hippogriffs to fly around in his stomach.

Finally, the winter holidays arrive and James had invited everyone to your house for Christmas. This was your favorite time of the year; James and your father were decorating the outside of the house while Sirius and yourself took care of the inside. The two of you always liked staying indoors to gossip while inhaling taste testing Euphemia's cooking to make sure it was up to standard.
"What are you hoping to unwrap this year Y/N, Remus perhaps?"
Your eyes widened and you turned to hit the cheeky Gryffindor in the chest, cheeks blazing with embarrassment. "Sirius! My mother is right there!"
He barked out another laugh when he saw your mother's shoulders shaking lightly with her own laughter. Your least favorite Marauder slung an arm around your shoulders and led you back out to the living to finish setting up for your friends.
The party had started the moment Remus and Peter arrived with arms full of presents. The gobstones were pulled out almost immediately, and everyone had a steaming mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream and toppings. Euphemia made sure to put in exactly ten marshmallows in James and yours because if you had one more than him he would undoubtedly throw a fit.
The spiked eggnog and mulled wine came out later in the night, the group sitting in a circle next to the tree to pass presents around. The typical Quidditch gear and gag gifts were opened. Peter had taken out his camera to take a picture of you and James when you had opened your matching red and gold sweaters, "Potter" written in a sparkly font. Your gleeful smiles and infectious laughter were immortalized with a flash of a camera, the photo being displayed on the mantle straight away.
The twinkling lights hung around room reflected in your eyes, a warmth creeping into Remus' chest as he averted his gaze. Luckily all eyes were on Peter as he unwrapped a pair of knitted socks from you, striped with Gryffindor colors and his initials sewed on the side. The tall boy smiled fondly as his friend tried on his gift, with you clapping adorably in response to them fitting perfectly.

With the sun having set hours ago, the Potter house was now littered with scraps of colorful paper, candy wrappers, and board games were strewn about. The Potters and Peter had gone up to their rooms for the night, leaving Remus and Sirius to clean up at living room. Before following your brother and Pete, you walked over to the werewolf and poked his arm to get his attention (as if his attention wasn't always on you anyways).
"Hey Rem, I just wanted to let you know that I left your present in your room, in case you didn't want to open it in front of everyone," you smiled shyly, nodding awkwardly before shuffling towards the stairs, "Merry Christmas."
He wants to blame the mulled wine for his flushed face and racing heart, but he knew that nothing could be as intoxicating as you.
"Y'know Moony, your obsession might be a little less creepy if you just asked Little Potter out."
The wizard chess pieces dropped from the brunette's hands, looking up at his friend who had a shit-eating grin on his face. Remus huffed and quickly put the game pieces back in place, shaking his head. "I'm not obsessed with her, Sirius."
"Oh it's Sirius now! Struck a nerve, have I?"
Sirius had been staying with the Potters for a few years now, and it had become hard not to notice your behavior around his sandy-haired friend. He was no stranger to the way you would fix your hair around Remus, or put on your favorite outfits when you knew he was coming over. Also, you and Sirius had late night gossip sessions after James fell asleep. That was probably it.
"Pads, stop. It's not like that, and she wouldn't even like me back anyways. I'm just like you or Peter, just one of her brother's friends."
"Oh Moony," Sirius sighed dramatically, " Moony, Moony, Moony. You poor, oblivious boy."
Sirius had gone up to his room soon after, leaving Remus in the living room by himself to reflect on his feelings towards you. But how humiliating it would be if he confessed to you and you said no. He could never face you ever again, probably have to stop being friends with James at the very least to avoid any further embarrassment. Alright, he's thinking about this way too much. Remus head upstairs to his room, ready to fall asleep to hopefully dream of a life where you would look at him the way he looked at you.
On top of his pillow sat a small gift box wrapped so beautifully it couldn't have been from anyone else but you. Rough hands pulled away the delicate ribbon you had tied around the box, opening the lid to find a handmade teacup, his name painted carefully on the side. Next to the teacup laid a few bars of his favorite chocolate, a new book, and a bag of his favorite tea. His chest tightened with a new but very obvious feeling.
A knock on the door pulled him out of his daydream, the dark wood opening to reveal your lovely self smiling up at him. His mouth went dry as you stared at him with those big chocolate eyes that made him feel that just for moment you could look past every flaw and see him a man you could be with.
"Y/N-" he cleared his throat when it cracked embarrassingly, a deep blush dusting his scarred cheeks, "Thank you for the gift Y/N, I love it, really." I love you.
You nodded and pointed up the the top of the doorway, Remus lifting his head to see a sparkling spring of mistletoe.
Perhaps Remus Lupin could be lucky.

When a piece of visual media showing Scp-■■■■■ is viewed by a person, they begin to feel intense love and affection towards Scp-■■■■■. Victims of this affect will also feel a compulsion to share this media with others, specifically close friends and family who will then perpetuate cycle.
Viewers who do not have a resilience to cognitohazardious effects may also begin to incorporate strange rituals, language changes, and chants to their daily life while continuing to feel a strong compulsion to share media of Scp-■■■■■. People who are affected that have become informed and self-aware of Scp-■■■■■'s effects are able to think clearly but are still compelled to share media. When gyms and other fitness studios started reopening in 2021 after the covid lockdowns, I used to haunt the many cycling studios of southern California with a mysterious persona known only as Evil Skeleton. I'd register for indoor cycling classes under the name "Evil Skeleton" and would further conceal my identity by only paying online with a prepaid Visa card. At the time face masks were mandatory, and the rules never said ski masks didn't count, so I'd wear my most menacing mask and go to spin classes.

This was what I looked like as Evil Skeleton.
I'd stomp into these classes, often showing up at the last minute, and hop on a bike riding without a word. I'd pick studios with dramatic light shows with brief occasional blackouts. I would memorize the location of the open bikes and switch to new bikes while the lights were off, appearing to teleport mysteriously in a flash. This performance would both frighten and delight the other customers. If possible, I'd pick classes that displayed ranked lists of total and average power output and use my behemoth strength to rank number one. I'd give it my all to ensure that the leader board displayed Evil S. at the top, then vanish.
One of my friends worked at one of the studios and he'd tell me the stories about how my mystery was spreading. Other people on staff would ask "who is Evil Skeleton" or say "Oh shit, Evil Skeleton signed up for the 7 AM class". Customers would talk about the scary guy that appears seemingly at random and the staff would say "ah you saw Evil Skeleton". Evil Skeleton was so well known that I'd show up to classes and the instructor would announce "don't be afraid, the large man in a ski mask is not a threat!".
I miss being Evil Skeleton. If I find that mask again I'm going to a pilates class.

Back Rooms Level: 840 - "The Daycare"

Description
Level 840 is the 841st level of the Backrooms. This level consists of a daycare with various play areas within the daycare walls and an outside area resembling a sort of liminal cafeteria area. A single physical entity called the Daycare Attendant tends to the daycare. It is completely indoors, so has no changing weather conditions and stays around a temperature of 21°C (69.8°F) at all times.
There is a day and night cycle with an instant switch, which will be referred to as “Playtime” and “Naptime”. There is no indication of the light-switch besides a subtle flicker of the lights a couple seconds before the switch itself. The night cycle usually lasts between 1-3 hours and the day cycle can vary from 3-9 hours.

The Mats
The Mats are the main area of the daycare and make up most of the level. Similar to a trampoline park, the floors are hard and matted surfaces. They vary from red to blue mats and cover the entire daycare floor. This is where naptime takes place when the lights are off (“Naptime”).
The Play Structures
Similar to the Tubes and Play Structures on Level 283, this area consists of Tubes and netted hallways colorfully intertwining into each other reaching up to around 15m (~49,2ft) in height. There are ramps leading to different floors of the play structure and half-slides and tube slides, all varying in color. It is not recommended to enter the full tubes as they have a chance of leading travelers to Level 283 and there has been no regularity to how often and which slides send you there.

The Ballpit
The Ballpit is one of the entrance points of Level 840, where in most cases you are greeted by the Daycare Attendant. As far as various communities in the Backrooms have been able to gather such as the M.E.G. and B.N.T.G. there has been nothing out-of-the-ordinary about the ballpit and is completely safe to be in.
The Staff room
The Staff room is currently the only confirmed  exit of this Level besides the tubes.. It is a metal door with a push-handle with a “Staff Only” sign roughly at eye-level. Inside this room is another door where the janitor’s closet is located. Sometimes the janitor’s closet will lead to an office building located in Level 11.
The Entrance
The Entrance is located just outside of the daycare, visible from the inside and closed off by an indestructible glass wall almost reaching up to the daycare’s ceiling. Numerous cafeteria-style tables and chairs line up against the outer walls of the daycare, having a grayish color with a green highlight.

Entrances
There’s a chance a rainbow patterned slide in Level 283 can lead you to this Level, spitting you out in a ballpit where explorers have reported being greeted by the Sun Man.
Exits
The janitor’s closet within the staff room either leading to Level 11
On rare instances is it theorized if this door can lead travelers to Level “!” aka “Run for your Life”.
Entities
So far there is only one known entity in this Level, but this is still up for debate as it seems to have different “modes” with different rulesets; “The Daycare Attendant”. This entity is 3m (10ft) tall and is incredibly lanky, limbs being no thicker than broomsticks.

In the two standard forms the face has big glowing white eyes and no mouth. The torso’s anatomy is roughly comparable to that of an ant due to the ball-like chest and hip region with a thin middle and puffy shoulder joints. The chestpiece has a half-transparent star which emits a glow similar to the eyes. The thin middle consists of two connecting segments being held together by a joint with a star imprint, also emitting a soft glow. They wear a transparent set of shorts resembling the puffy shorts medieval jesters wore reaching roughly the middle of the thighs. They have ruffles on their neck and feet and have long ribbons with two bells wrapped around each wrist.
The Sun Man
The Sun Man is the Playtime-mode for the Daycare Attendant and is generally passive as long as you remain behaved. He walks around and cleans/picks up the play area of the daycare and will occasionally check up on the travelers. He reacts positively to gifts ranging from drawings to crafts to supplies. He has 7 sharp and pointy rays on his head
When a traveler tries to leave the daycare the Sun Man’s focus shifts immediately and he darts to the entrance doors, quickly retrieving the “escapees”; he will become more aggressive with each attempt, like a tally on each visitor.
When he gets aggressive, the 3rd mode is activated; “The Dark Sun”.
The Moon Man
The Moon Man is the Nighttime-mode for the Daycare Attendant and is generally aggressive or short-tempered. He walks around similar to the Sun Man, although he slouches more and moves in a more sporadic manner. He is very strict about Naptime, killing anyone on sight he deems as a “rule breaker”. He gets aggressive when you try to enter the play structures, although he doesn’t mind the ballpit as long as you stay quiet. He’s easily monitorable even when out of sight due to the bell that drags along the floor from his long hat. It is unknown if the 3rd mode can be activated while the lights are off.
The Dark Sun
The Dark Sun is the 3rd mode of the Daycare Attendant and is very aggressive towards travelers. The activation of this mode should be avoided at ALL COSTS! The appearance of this mode is an uncanny mash-up of both modes, but more sinister and having a dark color palette, like lava or a burning forest. They are very agile and will not calm down until they deem the rulebreaker(s) deceased and anyone unfortunate enough to run into him, despite “behaving”. Your best bet is to hide in the play structures and stay quiet.

I’m on a mission to make my life a little more enjoyable, not to the point of romanticizing it but at least end with my cycle of bed rotting. This are just some silly ideas to spicy the day and stuff for when you are on your own and so, let’s begin.
just to clarify: this things can be easy or not depending if you consider yourself an introvert o have social anxiety, in that case don’t take this as a task to finish but more like a suggestion!
psa: i’m not a minor so some of the stuff on this list will probably be outside the possibilities for some people, also since i live in a big city things can be different but surely you’ll be able to adapt it well.
ೃ⁀➷ first, the boring ༉‧₊
do a little list of things that you find interest and imply being outside at least 50% of the time, write on your phone or notebook a SIMPLE schedule with basics.
put your phone on not disturb and only allow messages and calls from people like your mom / best friend, try to stay away from the screen.
make a playlist, it can be chill jazz to clear your mind or your personal list of bangers for the summer and make sure that you have them for offline listening!
you can make a shared calendar with your friends or even a google map list with cool places to visit!
check your local government site for free activities, you can also look for workshops or fairs in your neighborhood.
keep essentials on hand, things that you wanna keep in your bag or tote, do a check list if you have your mind in the sky and forget everything like me.
Do a reset the first week of summer, clean a little bit just to not feel guilt when you make a mess later.
ೃ⁀➷ indoor activities ༉‧₊
Make yourself an iced coffee, it can be just instant coffee and some milk in a mason jar, doesn’t have to be fancy (prepare too a water bottle for outside activities).
play pretend: put some music and act like you are filming a grwm or a vogue what’s in my bag while your pack things.
try to learn something new, put some video essays on youtube or a podcast and allow yourself to lay on the floor with the fan on and maybe even a face mask!
organize your calendar (hear me out, i know it sound boring af but making it pretty even when you’re gonna use it just one week it’s entertaining too!).
make a little place hunting on google maps: find some cafes, public libraries, tourist spots, art galleries, farm markets o museums and keep them on a google maps custom list.
declutter your phone with the wifi off, delete screenshots and unnecessary cache, you can even change the wallpaper and clean it.
make a pile of clothes that you don’t won’t use anymore and donate it to a local charity! You can stick around and thrift some goodies while you’re in there too.
do a personal archive, write your thoughts and organize photos on notion or here on tumblr (maybe a dump blog)
organize a old lore or a new story if you’re a writer, and even if you don’t consider yourself one, try to write down something interesting.
try new recipes and write down your favorites! it’s time to use all the tiktok bookmarks.
ೃ⁀➷ outdoor activities ༉‧₊
visiting museums and pretending to be a tourist is cool, like you were a secret agent on a mission or a tortured artist looking for a muse, everything counts!
take yourself on a date, you can go to a park and bring a blanket, eating chips and reading its relaxing.
make your journaling in a cafe or at the park to add some spice to the day.
start taking pictures of small things even if you don’t consider good with that (you can even open an account for that).
find a class of something interesting and allow yourself to be “the new” to people or new experiences.
host a dinner (or convince one of your friends to do it) you can make it with a theme and even send some invitations that you design with canva.
start a commonplace journal or a dump notebook, just write and draw there whatever you please when you are outside.
do a little road-trip to somewhere cool, even a small city next to yours and document it (keep in mind to take the necessary precautions for your safety)
go to the beach and bring something to play in the sand, sounds childish and embarrassing but nobody gives a shit anyways and you will have fun i promise.
find yourself a third place that is not your school/work or home, it can be anywhere but you need it.
