so i went to grad yesterday

#dani says stuff #i have... a lot of thoughts #im still thinking a lot of thoughts #i guess this counts as vent art/???? fdjkkjds #im just idk man the industry is rough rn #and i understand that it goes through its ups and downs i knew that when i jumped into the deep end #but this was the cherry on top of a cake #i truly felt like i was in a sitcom and they were gonna roll credits any moment #its just... such a choice of topic to say to the graduating batch from the school of creative media arts #in the age where meta wont let you opt out of their ai scraping tech #and adobe is claiming rights to artists work to train their own ai #its hard not to feel disheartened a lil tbh #three years of working myself to the bone only to get that at the end of it all #i laugh about it because if i dont i just get more upset #and honestly something about the sheer absurdity of it all does make it funny in a weird way #oh well back to drawing my silly little ocs it is <3 #vent art

I feel like one of the (many) reasons that we like Tech so much is because of the excessive number of pockets he rocks, especially in season 2. The man is single-handedly making up for the sheer lack of pockets present in modern western fashion available to women. Honestly, he is living the dream!

it's so beautiful and real that after a stressful week, i stayed up until 5am (by accident) playing video games and then did a bunch of adderall and spent the day cleaning and decluttering our place. i am a role model and everybody should emulate my behavior for peak mental health

She was shaking, she was terrified

She still was steady enough to draw and fire her bow

They’re turning her into a soldier like them

when you tried to design an entire line of baby onesies......breaking all brand guidelines, u need to follow brand guidelines as a fucking graphic designer......??? like that's graphic design 101?

like i fixed this once 4 months ago, dealt with licensing depts to fix it but never again, we have pdfs and .ai documents filled with guidelines.. which fonts...... which colors... what sizing and proportions allowed

#personal #omg NO like... my job is EASY as shit.... it's so fucking easy #her job SHOULD be easy.... we have RULES follow the rules #they're really simple rules... like when on black tee.... can only be this green or this blue #and then she made things WHITE is white on the chart for black garments????? no... then you cannot use white?#like i cannot be more detailed than this w/o self doxxing but like #my job is sooooo straightforward that all my raises have been bc i've automated our outsourced work #bcuz it all follows a formula ???? and like ??? when i've helped this woman w/ her parts when she's (actually) had large workload #that wasn't cause of her own fault... i've written up processes to do it w/ like.... batch process or a script... so WTF is her problem #any time i do something (unless i miss like.. a logo cure which is no biggie) it gets immediately approved by licensing/legal #so WHAT THE FUCK she's also been working in this industry for like....4 more years than me wtf is her problem

My thoughts on a new trailer

If I'm being completely honest (and it annoys me that I have to admit this), I really don't think we're going to get another trailer for TBB.

Even though there are multiple in existence (extended version from SWC, the public version and the version from ComiCon) I really doubt there's going to be another publicly released one.

S1 only ever had one public trailer, as did TOTJ. When it comes to animated shows, there doesn't seem to be any priority to release multiple trailers. I know everyone is talking about a new one possibly dropping soon but I highly doubt it's going to happen.

We're less than a month away from the release of S2 and there has been no advertisement past May. The official BB twitter hasn't posted anything since the trailer. I really don't think we're going to get a second one.

Now saying this, I would love to be proven wrong. If we got another trailer then great!

But with how ridiculous the lack of advertising for this show has been, I think we all need to lower our expectations as to what we're going to be getting from here on out.😕

I’m being so strong and brave about everything this week

#my backpack fell out of a car and got damaged and I’m sad about it #teaching a new batch of kids and that’s always awkward for the first week #my apartment flooded with an inch of water and my wifi modem was a casualty #so no wifi in my apartment and I’ve been staying with a friend bc there’s 7 industrial fans drying everything out #my canvas and my university website are not working on my computer for no apparent reason so even when I’m on campus I can’t work properly #some minor frustrations include my hands are covered in scrapes from moving furniture and my eczema is flaring from handling wet things #I’ve had to spend so much on laundry this week bc so much got wet #life is a nightmare right now #which also I haven’t been sleeping well bc of the stress #but I haven’t cried and I’ve been keeping pretty calm and just working through cleaning and like finding workarounds for the website etc #I’m handling this with all the grace I can muster
