today has been so .

flew home for the weekend and on the drive from the airport to my mom’s, my aunt (my mom’s cousin) called to let us know my mom’s youngest brother was found dead this morning?? they said it was a heart attack and it probably happened a couple days ago. and i think we all just don’t know how to process it..

like he was a total dick, i fr referred to him as my borderline fascist uncle, and he was really mean to my mom (all three of her half siblings are terrible to my mom tbh) and we’ve basically had beef since i was little. like for example - he lived with us for a while after my sister was born and he was always a jerk to me. he once told me, like a few years ago, that he didn’t like me then bc he thought i was spoiled and mean to him (i was four) and my sister was the only one who was nice to him (she was a baby??). i won’t even get into all the horrible political fights he constantly tried to start with me but like he suckedddd

but like ofc he was family and he also had my back sometimes and we both reallyyyy hated his older brother together. and it’s really sad to think that bc he and my mom’s other brother and sister are all just so disconnected from each other (and the rest of our family bc of how they’ve treated my mom and others), he died alone and no one knew for at least two days. his brother (who lives across the street) only went over to my grandparents’ old house bc the neighbor called complaining about the dog barking bc he had been stuck in the backyard since it happened. and that’s just awful for anyone and idk just don’t really know what im feeling rn
