So people are really just pissy about the lore change ?

God damn, I have nothing else to say but "grow up" ( as bitchy as it sounds)

Choco admitted the mistake of not setting proper boundaries and feeling unhappy about what the direction of their characters, that happens, it's not the end of the world

Characters are litterally a bunch of lines and words, it can move, change, stretch, and sometimes the creator wants to change the direction, and that's okay, it's their choice

Yes, it affects the lore of others, that's unconvinient, but ( and I may sound bitchy again here), good lore writing should allow you to always move forward despite the change in characters, especially in roleplay.

I'm all for Glitch changing if it makes their mod and creators feel more comfortable with it

Calling it a drama and involving me is taking things so out of proportions about something that at the end of the way, doesn't matter that much

Again, it's just a story, there are plenty more !

Also, the haters should really stop coming to me as if I'm some sort of autority here.

I'm just a gremlin that caught on the trend at the right time to make awesome friends, and I'm happy to see that more cool characters were born out of the multiverse concept too

there's a whole rest of this thread but for my mental sanity, i'm not posting all of it. basically, op was saying that it was at this moment that catra finally realizes how hard adora had it.

which.. isn't true? catra never learns to empathize with adora. literally after this scene, adora takes the failsafe and instead of communicating with her like a responsible adult, catra gives her the silent treatment and goes off to sulk.

later, she overhears part of a conversation between shadow weaver and adora, and immediately decides that adora doesn't want her. she doesn't try to reason with adora or talk things out, she just decides to leave. and when adora tries to stop her, she shifts the blame onto adora again.

if catra really understood what adora was going through, why would she scream at adora for “choosing shadow weaver” (which is not what happened, mind you) and shove her to the ground for absolutely no reason? wouldn't she rather stay behind and try to give adora some support?

not to mention, “adora can't even care about herself” GIRL you caused that!! you were the one who constantly kept weaponizing her own insecurities against her and making her feel like she was worth nothing. why are you suddenly worried about the same problem you caused?

Every superhero and vigilante has has a costume like that at some point, something daring or a bit ridiculous that in hindsight that they just couldn't make work for whatever reason. Nightwing? The pretty motherfucker not only made it work, he slayed in that outfit. It looks ridiculous by itself on display in the batcave but not when Nightwing puts it on

The only reason Dick doesn't know this is because all his siblings have collectively gaslit him into thinking that it's his worst costume to date.

it’s very easy to tell the good satires and pastiches from the bad ones because the bad ones are too afraid to live within the form. like if you are doing work with fairy tales and you are refusing to look closer at the underlying logic and unspoken rules of what can seem at first to be a senseless form, you are not going to create meaningful work. to borrow a turn of phrase originally used by maria tatar, if you refuse to enter “the house of fairy tale” as anything more than a gawking tourist, you will miss the particular order to the way the table is set, the rooms that are locked vs the rooms that are simply difficult to enter, the set of the floorboards and the position of the furniture. whatever you build will then be a gilded imitation of how you believe the house of fairy tale ought to look, the table set according to your educated specifications and every door open. there can be no interrogation of themes from a writer who views the form as beneath them!

He's been in 38.6% of DC issues since 2020, with a stark increase of 8% each decade since the 90s and surpassing Superman in popularity. Despite this, there's been a massive drop off of comics where he is teamed up with Superman or a Robin (although the amount of group team ups between Batman Family members has increased, as well as Nightwing solos).
