Jim Kelly was a prominent African-American martial artist and actor, best known for his roles in the "blaxploitation" films of the 1970s.
Kelly was born on May 5, 1946, in Paris, Kentucky, and grew up in San Diego, California. He began studying martial arts as a teenager and quickly excelled, earning a black belt in karate. He became a popular tournament fighter in the 1960s and 1970s and won numerous championships.
Kelly's big break in film came in 1973 when he was cast in the lead role in "Enter the Dragon," a martial arts movie starring Bruce Lee. Kelly's performance as Williams, a wisecracking, afro-wearing martial artist, made him an instant icon and helped to popularize the blaxploitation genre.
In the years that followed, Kelly starred in a number of other martial arts and action movies, including "Black Belt Jones," "Three the Hard Way," and "One Down, Two to Go." He also continued to compete in martial arts tournaments and worked as a martial arts instructor.
After retiring from acting in the 1980s, Kelly remained involved in martial arts and was active in promoting the sport and encouraging young people to get involved. He passed away on June 29, 2013, at the age of 67. Jim Kelly's contributions to the martial arts and film industries continue to be celebrated today.

31 Days of Dick (Grayson)
Day 12. Nightwing comic artist
Dan Jurgens
Nightwing (1996) #126
Phil Jimenez
Wonder Woman (1987) #165
This two are tied for me because both draw Nightwing in a very similar manner, lol. I love that while Dick is drawn to look pretty, they still give him an air of maturity

Flying Rodent F O R E V E R ! …Did you know that bats aren’t rodents?! Now you do! Batman Forever is like an ink blot, you’ll see what you want to see. You will either be swept up in the looney toons-ish lunacy (I really need to meet the architect’s who designed some of the Gotham City buildings) or you’ll hate that it adopts a more 60’s Batman-Adam-West-cheesy-campy-colourful hallucination… over the more hyper stylised Burton Batman films (which were also camp but in a completely different way). Director Joel Shoe Muncher is like, “Hey, Tommy Lee Jones normally I would want a film with two villains in it to have some tonal differences, like you could be the straight man to Jim Carrey’s over the top maniac… instead let’s experiment, when Carrey goes big I want you to go even bigger” … the results… WOW! Not a good wow! Hashtag: Too much! When Two-Face and The Riddler aren’t trying to over act each other there’s other things going on, we meet Robin, who among other things Kung Fu’s his wet laundry. There’s also Dr. Chase who needs a doctor because the second she meets Batman she is wet, she touches his rubber outfit and near orgasms… but she might also be in love with Bruce Wayne… she’s not really a character nor does she seem to have any purpose outside of being immediately in love with both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Also, elsewhere there’s these steeet thugs who dress in glow in the dark makeup and outfits… if you were a criminal, circus performer come street thug wouldn’t you want to wear clothing and or makeup/paint that doesn’t make you immediately identifiable? Release the Shoe Mucher cut with the giant bat! Also, also, thanks Seal for the banger of a song. Also, also, also I will love this film F O R E V E R !
