Misako is asleep, she doesn't notice Garmadon get out of bed. Or if she does, she doesn't think much of it. He's been doing that more often lately, getting up in the middle of the night to watch Lloyd sleeping or go for a walk to clear his head. Eventually she wakes up to the sound of Lloyd crying, and at first makes no rush to comfort him. Garmadon's out of bed, he's probably already on it. But the crying keeps going for longer than she expected and she can't hear Garmadon from the baby's room. She finally gets out of bed to go see what's going on and Lloyd is alone in his crib. Her husband is nowhere to he found. Lloyd won't stop screaming and crying no matter what she does.

He still hasn't quieted down when the first rays of light break the horizon and a frazzled and scared Misako opens the knocking door to find Wu, equally frazzled and scared. He tells her what she already suspected. Garmadon is gone.

The prophecy is set in motion.

Some days I want to do a survey and analysis of attitudes towards Huan, and the Celegorm-Huan relationship, and whether people have actual hunting/herding/other working dogs (or other animals!) in their lives. Not housepets, or not just housepets. Not livestock, not breeding stock. And not just dogs from working breeds. Dogs with jobs. Dogs who like to do those jobs. Dogs who develop specific working relationships with at least some humans.

The secret Dungeon Meshi sauce that's getting people to eat better is that it's so non-judgmental. Senshi and the rest of the gang never talk about what not to eat besides things that taste bad and literal poison. They don't even talk about "health" that much besides the importance of a balanced diet. It's so much easier to eat well when you think of food simply as something your body needs, and that it's often worth the extra effort to make it taste good, especially when you understand how to connect "things your body needs" with "things that taste good"

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.

So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
