just for the weekend ᯓᡣ𐭩.ᐟ - franco colapinto
summary: your teammate has an absolutely ridiculous plan to bring your team back from the dead - but it might be just crazy enough to work w/c: 5.5k + some smau style tweets warnings: a little angst, some uncomfortable touching/kissing since it's fake dating (not too bad but better safe than sorry), some miscommunication - just two idiots in love i fear
a/n: WOW it's finally here, fake dating is literally a guilty pleasure trope for me so i hope yall enjoy this HAHA - also sorry to Williams fans bc there's a lot of slander in this but trust its all for the plot <333 (also holy shit this is the longest fic I've ever written WOW)
"You're actually insane."
"Oh c'mon, at least think about it for a minute, it's perfect!"
You fold your arms over your chest and try your best to look uninterested in whatever it is your teammate has to say. The two of you had been racing together for a little over half a year now, and you had witnessed him make (at least in your opinion) a grand fool of himself. Flirting with interviewers, winking at cameras, having absolutely no filter during press conferences - but this, this was by far the craziest thing you had heard come out of his mouth.
"A fake relationship?"
"Ah ah ah," he tuts, jutting a finger in your face, "a media relationship, one that will draw the attention away from how crap we're doing and onto the personalities of the team. Think about it, McLaren has whatever Oscar and Lando have got going on and Ferrari basically has two models for drivers. We need something to put us on the map, to make people care about us!"
You pause, and for a minute you seriously consider his outrageous proposition - he isn't completely wrong. For the two of you, making it into the points range was a rare occurrence, and even though the team always made sure to celebrate it like a podium there was something that stung about constantly being at the bottom.
"Do you realise how much trouble we could get into?"
"Ah," he sighs, and it's starting to annoy you how lightly he's talking about this, "ever the pragmatist."
"Well one of us has to be if the other's going to keep saying stupid shit," you huff before turning around and beelining out of his driver's room.
Seriously, a fake relationship? Had he lost his mind? Maybe if he focused more on his racing you wouldn't be constantly outperforming him.
"At least think about it, okay?" You hear him call out from behind you, and consider yourself lucky to be facing the other way so that he doesn't catch your obnoxious eye roll. Surely he had to be kidding because there was no way you were going to devote any amount of time to this ridiculous thought.
God fucking damnit.
It was frustratingly confusing, the kind of power Franco had. You had witnessed it first hand with how smoothly he spoke to anyone and managed to get his way almost instantly - but this was your first time experiencing it first-hand. It was another weekend, another country, another race, but the only thing you could think of was his stupid consideration - which, with each passing moment, seemed increasingly genius.
You had almost a year of experience with the team over your teammate, and with that, your fair share of embarrassment and disappointment. Sure, his idea was a little out there but you were close to being at your wits end and if nothing else, you hoped this would at least be a little fun. Plus you were pretty sure at this point if you didn't act on this thought soon, it would start interfering with your performance.
"Fine," you said a little breathlessly as you burst into his driver's room ahead of a race.
"Hey!" he exclaimed, looking at you with a shocked look, "whatever happened to knocking? I could've been naked in here!"
You roll your eyes before continuing, "You still up to the ..." You pause, thinking of how best to word it, "Fake relationship thing?"
His eyes light up immediately, "Ah, I knew you'd come around eventually."
Letting out a soft huff, just to let him know that you still aren't fully convinced this will work, you sit down on his couch. "I think we should lay down some ground rules first."
"Yes ma'am." He nods, straightening up and forcing a serious expression you can only assume is mocking yours.
"Firstly, no kissing."
"Understood."
"Actually no public affection at all, holding hands, hugging, nothing."
"Oh sure and how exactly are we going to convince people then?"
You pause, thinking for a little, "Okay maybe hand-holding and hugs are fine, but you better not push it - that goes for the pet names as well." He nods with a satisfied smile.
"And no one other than us two can know this is fake, alright? Otherwise, it'll spoil the plan."
"Trust me, I don't need anyone knowing I'm going along with something as ridiculous as this. It'll be our little secret."
"Our little secret," he repeats with a hum, a sly sort of smile spreading across his face as he gets up from his spot. "See you after the race, my love."
You sighed in exasperation, tossing your phone to the side of the couch in your driver's room where it fell with a light thud. You had about a thousand other things to be worrying about - your pretty disappointing result in qualifying for one - but for some reason, the main thing on your mind was your 'relationship' with Franco. Somehow, it had proved even more intense than you had expected, which planted a seed of worry in your mind as you realised how hard this was actually going to be to pull off. Since his not-so-subtle announcement to a hoard of hungry press members at last week's race, the media had managed up a flurry about the two of you.
There were supportive fans who liked you both enough not to see any problem with two teammates dating, as well as others who were more sceptical about how it might impact your performance. However, what really seemed to get to you were those who doubted you more than the relationship.
Your social media had been bombarded with comments and theories about the reason behind your relationship, doubting your place on the grid, and calling you names that - after shedding the status of 'first girl rookie', you thought you had left behind. Regardless, you feel a little stupid for being so unprepared for all this - not just the tweets but the harsh articles, the questions during press interviews and even shouting fans. Maybe if you had done a little more thinking about it first, you would've realised this was a stupid idea that should've been left at just that.
Throwing your head back you let out an exasperated sigh, trying to clear your head so that you could move on and focus on the race that was happening tomorrow. The last thing you wanted was for this plan to start impacting your driving. But Franco always seemed to have the worst timing - or best, depending on who you asked.
"Hello?" A couple quick knocks alert you of his presence before he cracks the door just wide enough to peek in. "There's my beautiful girlfriend." The way the pet names and affection seem to come to him so easily makes you simultaneously impressed and concerned, unsure of whether it's an indication of his great acting or flirting skills.
"What do you want?" You try to make it as obvious as you can that you're not in the mood, and he realises this right away.
"Oh, nothing, I just wanted to ask if you were free after this."
"You know I'm not really a huge fan of the big team dinners, especially not when we have a race tomorrow."
"Oh it's not like that, I was just going to go check out a restaurant near our hotel and wondered if you wanted to join me."
When you finally speak it's just above a whisper, "Is this a part of the fake dating thing?"
He laughs softly, his ability to find everything entertaining has always amazed you. "If you want to, it can be. If that gives you a reason to come hang out with me, though if you don't it's totally fine."
"No, I'll come, not like I've got anything better to do." You hate how every word you've said so far has sounded so pathetic.
"Great, I'll meet you by the paddock entry in ten?"
"See you then."
The street lights were dim, just bright enough to illuminate the street the two of you were walking down. The night was cool and still, and there were barely any people out other than you. You weren't sure why, but you had ended up telling Franco a lot more than you had expected. Maybe it was the extremely fancy restaurant you had initially gone to or the local one the two of you agreed to ditch it for instead, or maybe it was just the freeing feeling of being in another country.
The two of you had talked before, of course - as teammates it was difficult to avoid. But beyond the casual small talk, discussions about strategies or banter during challenges your relationship never extended beyond casual co-existence. It was one of the reasons you were glad your higher-ups had never tried to force the two of you into a professional friendship. There was something about Franco, his ability to strike up a conversation and maintain it even when the topic clearly strayed far beyond his interests, that made him so likeable, so easy to get along with. And the support he got from fans and the media reflected this well. You just never felt like there was any room for you in that equation.
But here, away from the cameras and shedding the roles of drivers, the two of you became normal people. You spoke, you laughed, you vented to him everything that worried you about your 'relationship' and he listened throughout all of it - all the while the two of you shared the biggest, best, pizza you had ever had.
"I have to say, I don't know if our engineers will appreciate the extra weight I've just put on," he jokes, breaking the comfortable silence that had been lingering around you two as you walked.
"Me neither, they might have to roll me into the car at this rate."
"You know, I think this is the first time the two of us have hung out, just us two."
You think for a little before answering, "You're right."
"Do you think there's a reason for that?"
"You mean besides us both being extremely busy people and already seeing each other pretty often? Not really, no."
"Good point, though with our little plan, we're definitely going to be seeing each other a lot more."
There's a beat of silence. "This is nice though, right?" He asks, and his voice is so tentative you almost find it endearing.
"It is nice, this was fun." You try not to think too much about the fact the two of you could be mistaken by any passer-by as a couple of lovebirds on a first date - or that fact that even to those who knew you, you were.
"I appreciate you telling me all that stuff, you know, about what people are saying about you."
"Oh, if anything I should be thanking you for listening to me vent about it."
"It is serious though, I'm so stupid for not even thinking about what you'd have to deal with."
"Well I don't think either of us gave it enough thought but," you pause and look up at him, "we're too far in to back out now."
He shoots you a comforting smile, one that shows how reassured he feels that you seem to finally be coming around to his idea. That is, at least, before his face morphs into one of discomfort.
"God, I'm so full."
"We're almost back at the hotel now, let's just sleep and then we can wake up early tomorrow morning to-"
"Wait, is that ice cream?" Franco interrupts you to point out a street vendor who's about to pack up for the night, and before you know it he's running up to the man eagerly. You can only follow suit with a sigh, knowing full well you wouldn't mind some dessert either.
"You two are lucky, you'll be my last customers for the night," the moustachioed owner of the cart says with a warm smile.
"Thanks," you reply kindly, before turning to Franco, "what flavour do you think you'll get."
"Hm, not sure, maybe chocolate?"
"Wow, boring."
He scoffs, "Oh yeah? And what exotic flavour are you going to get then?"
"Mint choc," you smile, but your face drops once you see your teammate's disgusted expression.
"You've got to be kidding me, that's like the worst choice."
You feign offence, "How dare you insult the best ice cream flavour of all time?"
"Ah, you two are quite the couple," the man laughs and you watch as Franco's eyes widen in embarrassment.
"Oh we're not-"
"Thank you," it's your turn to interrupt him, turning to the man with a smile. "One chocolate and one mint choc chip please."
You go to reach for your wallet to pay but you feel a hand on yours, stopping you.
"No, it's okay, I got this."
"Wh- Franco c'mon you know full well both of us could afford about a thousand of these ice cream cones don't be ridiculous."
"I know," he smiles and even though he's trying to be serious you know he's also trying not to laugh, "but I just figured you know, I'm the one who dragged you out here and like, got you into this whole fake dating mess."
You furrow your brows, a little confused at what exactly he's getting at.
"I guess I just want to say thank you, you know?"
"Alright, alright," you laugh softly, watching as he pays and takes both of the cones, handing you yours. Once you grab yours, you instinctively loop your arm around his, pulling him close and resting your head against his shoulder. The ice cream man laughs endearingly at the two of you.
"You're the best boyfriend ever!" you say in as high and cute a voice you can manage, cringing a little but determined to keep up the bit - you don't even bother to think about how fast you can feel Franco's heart race when you do.
Last night was really nice. You're sitting next to your race engineer, nodding along as she points to various multi-coloured dots and lines on the screen. You hear yourself agreeing with a couple quick "mhms", "of course" and "yep"s even though you can barely hear what she's saying. You're mere minutes away from getting in your car for a race, getting briefed on your strategy, and the only thing you can think of is the 'date' you had with Franco last night - if you can even call it that.
You had thought that getting everything off your chest, the hate comments, the doubt you had, would help you feel better and relieve any worries you had. And it did, at least until you got back to your hotel room alone and caught yourself smiling at the thought of seeing your teammate again the next day. How, even as you washed up and got ready for bed, you found yourself thinking - pizza, ice cream, walking at night together, isn't that something a real couple would do?
"Are you listening to me?" your race engineer's voice cuts through the haze of your thoughts, causing you to straighten up immediately.
"Yes! Sorry," you mumble, but just at that moment, you see him walk into the garage, greeting a couple of the mechanics warmly. Before you realise it, he's beelining straight for you, his arm coming around your waist as he leans in close to your ear.
"There's a ton of cameras, I just wanted to be believable," he whispers, and when he pulls back you can see the smile on his face. You nod curtly, fully aware of how red your face feels over such a small interaction as he waltzes away.
"Okay, so as I was saying," your race engineer pipes up again, though you couldn't be paying her less of your attention - watching as your 'boyfriend' walks off, his brown hair illuminating in the afternoon light. For a fake relationship, the quickening pace of your heart felt far too real.
"Well you two have been teammates since the beginning of this year, can you tell us a little about when you realised you might be more?"
Your struggle was never-ending - or at least, that's what it felt like, finding yourself at the centre of an impromptu interview with Franco. Around you, the other drivers were getting questions about their place in their teams, how they felt about their current strategy and about their racing futures. And there the two of you were, getting thrown question after question about your 'relationship'.
"Well," you begin, before being saved by your teammate. You had to give it to him - he was great at making stuff up on the spot.
"Well, I think it was somewhere around a month after I first joined the team, and met her. It was just something about her, she's sort of electric in this almost untouchable way, you know?"
You try not to look too awkward standing next to him as he talks, feigning your best-interested smile - though a part of you is extremely intrigued by this fake story he's creating.
"At first I thought I just wanted to be like her, her passion and talent were just so respectable, but the more time I spent with her the more I realised it was something completely different."
He turns to look at you, his arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you close to him. Your expression falters a little as you're caught off guard by the sudden contact and as you turn away from the journalists and towards him, your eyes widen in shock at the sight of his pursed lips nearing yours. Before you realise it, his lips are against yours and you're pulling away as quickly as possible, face bright red. You're just barely aware of the thousands of flashing camera lights as you turn to quickly excuse yourself.
"Thank you all for coming, it was nice talking to you but, uhm, I have to go!" You hurriedly blurt out before slipping out of Franco's grip and darting off to your driver's room.
You hear his footsteps following closely behind you, as well as the sound of him calling out your name. When you near the door of your room, you turn around and grab his wrist to yank him in before you shut the door.
"What the hell was that?" is all you can muster out, "I thought we agreed no kissing?"
"Look, I can explain!"
You cross your arms with a huff, looking at him expectedly.
"I was just going to peck you quickly on the cheek, you know because we were getting all romantic and I wanted it to be believable! B-but then you turned, and then we," he's struggling not to ramble and his quickly moving hands do little to help. That's when you also realise his face is bright red as well, and he doesn't seem any less flustered by it than you do. "I'm really, really sorry I really shouldn't have done that."
You'd be lying if you said his explanation didn't make you feel any better. You're not actually upset about the kiss itself though, in fact, it's the opposite - actually, the grudge you're holding is doing little to help the internal struggle going on in your head. The kiss didn't make you angry, but the realisation that you wanted it to be real, did.
You sigh, rubbing your temples as you slump down in the nearest chair. Franco does the same on the adjacent couch, though his gaze stays carefully on you, almost afraid of what you might say next.
"It's fine, I think we just need to coordinate our PDA a little better then."
"Yes, of course," he nods quickly.
There's a beat of silence. "You're really good at acting though."
"What?"
"That whole story you made up about how you fell in love with me, it was really believable." You laugh lightheartedly trying to lighten the situation and alleviate the awkwardness that's settled between you two.
"Well it's pretty easy, I didn't need to make up much of it," his eyes catch yours and his gaze is soft when he smiles at you.
"What?" you're confused.
"Never mind," he scoffs lightly, his gaze dropping to the floor as he rubs the back of his neck. He looks almost disappointed at something, though you can't realise what. "Well, I'll leave you alone now. I really am sorry about what happened before." You watch as he pushes himself up from the couch, his head hanging guiltily - looking almost like a scolded puppy.
"It's fine Franco, really, please don't feel too bad about it." He nods thankfully before slipping out the door, leaving you alone.
Being a driver, hotel rooms had come to be a companion you knew far too familiarly. Their high ceilings, plush sterile white bedsheets, the empty bathroom - almost everything about them felt a sign of loneliness, of temporality, a house that never felt like home. Even though you knew how ridiculous it would be to complain about something that others would see as a privilege, it was hard to deny the isolation you felt whenever in a new country, away from most of your family or friends.
Maybe that's why you had been so eager to latch onto Franco's idea - it made sense, he had become the person you spent the most time with so why not give yourself some ridiculous reason to be around him even more? However somewhere along the way you stopped needing the reason of fake dating, somewhere in between hushed conversations, planned posts and candid photos - and instead found yourself genuinely enjoying his company. It was a little strange and sometimes acted as a sour reminder of how lonely you'd become but more than anything it felt like a blessing in disguise.
You were reminded of this fact as you lay, wrapped in a plush white hotel robe, across your messy bedsheets - laughing to yourself at the tweets your boyfriend had sent you. They were all about you, or the two of you, of course. Comments on the tiniest things, the way the two of you looked at each other, the way Franco held your hand, the way you worried about him.
"I feel a little bad, they're all so gullible," you typed quickly.
"Oh, so now you feel bad?" His response was almost instant.
"Don't you?"
"It's fun, isn't it? All this playing pretend."
Right, pretend. You rolled onto your back with a deep sigh, staring up at the tall hotel ceiling. All of this was just so confusing - as if figuring out how you felt about someone wasn't difficult enough, the two of you had complicated it by tricking the entire world into thinking you were in love. Whether you truly liked him or not, the idea was doomed for failure - and the more you thought about it, the more it seemed like the former.
"You're right," you typed back, watching intently as the three tiny dots appeared, disappeared then reappeared. What could he be saying that would need so much thinking?
"Can we talk tomorrow, after the race?"
You felt your stomach drop, had he finally caught on to how obvious you were being about how you truly felt, and decided that actually it might be better to just drop this whole act and go on as just teammates? With trembling hands, you typed back.
"Sure, what about?"
"I'll tell you then, for now, we should sleep."
"Goodnight Franco."
"Goodnight mi amor." You laughed softly to yourself at the nickname he had given you, though a small part of you took it as salt to the wound - almost as if he was dangling the possibility of something that could never happen right in front of your desperate little face.
However, not like you had a choice - all you could do now was get ready for bed and brace yourself for whatever tomorrow brought.
You couldn't believe it. The sounds of celebration erupted around you, but you sat completely still in your car, silent, attempting to process what had just happened. Your first win, and, your first double podium, with Franco. Your head was spinning as the never-ending stream of thoughts raced through your mind. Suddenly, you heard a voice coming from above your car's halo, muffled by your helmet. You flick the visor up, lifting your head as highly as you could - locking eyes with your teammate.
"We did it! Oh my god!" The excitement on his face is enough to send a slight surge of energy through you as he offers you his hand, helping you out of the car. When you do though, you stumble a little - the nerves are almost too much for you.
"Woah, you alright?" Even through the fog clouding your mind you can make out the concern in Franco's voice and feel his arms steadying you.
"Yeah, just-" you mumble, gesturing to your helmet and making weak attempts to undo the clasps underneath it. It's almost suffocating you, and the chaos going on around you isn't helping the pounding headache.
"Oh, let me," he reacts immediately, dropping his own helmet and bringing his hands below your chin to swiftly undo the clasps and pull the helmet off of you. You take a deep breath of air as you pull off your fireproof mask, though it sounds more like a desperate gasp.
Around you, the crowds roar with excitement, both your team and others as they make attempts to gesture at the two of you to join them. Your head spins though, and you wobble backwards into Franco.
"It's too loud," is all you can stutter out, though he understands you almost immediately, a strong hand gripping your wrist and pulling you away from the noise and somewhere quieter. You're not entirely sure where he's taking you but at that moment you feel as though you'd follow him just about anywhere.
Luckily though, when your eyes refocus you're in his driver's room, and even though outside you can hear the cheers continuing, you're offered some solace here, the walls muffling the sound. You sigh, sinking into his couch as you throw your head back, panting still.
You feel like it's all just too much - not just the physicality of the race, but the feeling of winning it, winning it with Franco, just Franco himself. When you finally manage to catch your breath you lift your head to see him standing over you, watching intently.
"Better?"
"Much better, thank you." You smile earnestly, "Though I don't think we'll be able to hide in here much longer, there is a cooldown room for this exact reason."
"Oh, I mentioned it to someone, not sure who but he looked important, and he said it would be okay."
You laugh softly, amazed at how he can seem so calm even at a moment like this.
"We did it," you say, still not being able to believe it.
"We did," he smiles, sitting on the couch next to you, "a couples podium."
You feel your heart skip a beat at the sudden reminder of your conversation last night, him mentioning he had something to tell you. Was this it? The two of you had achieved what you had been wanting this entire time, and there was no better time to let this ridiculous bit go than now.
You stare at the wall of his room, the gigantic flag of his home country, and let out a shaky breath, mustering up the courage to break the silence. "So..."
He turns to you, one eyebrow raised in interest.
"What was it you wanted to talk to me about?" You're trying your best to keep your voice lighthearted, "it sounded serious."
"Oh, well about that," he seems to have forgotten it temporarily as well, but the fact that he turns to look at the flag as well, almost unable to maintain eye contact with you, isn't a good sign.
Maybe it's the adrenaline from the race, maybe it's the fact that both of you are going to be needed out on the podium in about ten minutes - or maybe it's the fact that you're so desperate to get out these feelings and make him understand how you feel, but you start talking before you even realise it.
"Look, Franco, I," you start, not entirely sure of where you're going to end up, "I know you asked me to do this whole fake dating thing with you and I completely understand if you want to end it now, I mean why wouldn't we? It's perfect!"
He looks at you confused, lips parted as if about to interrupt you but you continue anyway, stupidly.
"But, look, here's the thing," you turn to him now, and you're sure your face is bright red, "I don't want this to end!"
You let out a deep sigh, and clutch your hands together to stop them from shaking, though it doesn't help that Franco looks even more confused now.
"What?" he says, and your heart drops.
"I," you pause, struggling to find the right words, and struggling to get them out, "I think I like you, like, for real." Okay, not exactly the best choice of words but it'll do.
"Like, not for the whole fake relationship thing?" his tone is still concerned and he leans in a little for clarification.
"Yes! Okay, I know it's not exactly what we thought would happen and it'll probably jeopardise our relationship as teammates but there, I like you okay."
"When did you realise?"
"A couple days ago, I'm sorry."
There's a beat of silence, and you're left with the agonising feeling of your heart racing in your chest, waiting eagerly for his response - for him to laugh in your face, for him to get mad, for him to reject you.
But instead, you watch as Franco's confused expression melts into one of pure relief as he sinks back into the couch with a sigh. "Oh, thank God."
It's your turn to be confused. "I'm sorry, what?"
"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear you say that," he says, eyes fixed on the ceiling with the widest smile you've ever seen.
"Wait you mean you-"
"I win!"
You're absolutely speechless, not a single coherent thought on what is going on or how to respond. All you can get out is a confused sort of grunt.
"I win, I've liked you for longer!" he laughs, sitting up and grabbing your hands in his.
You feel as though your jaw is going to dislocate at how fast it drops, "I'm sorry?"
"Oh c'mon, we've been teammates for a year I know you're not that oblivious."
"Well, apparently I am because I'm really confused."
"I've liked you since the moment I met you, you idiot."
"Wh-" You're about to be offended at the name-calling until what he says finally hits you. He likes you. He has liked you. For ages. You idiot.
"Even when you proposed this to me?"
"Yep."
"Even when we went to get ice cream?"
"Yep."
"Even when you kissed me?"
"Y- well wait no that was completely unintentional," he holds his hands out in defence. You slump back, trying your best to process everything today has entailed, it's almost too much. That is until you feel Franco move a little closer to you, his arm stretching around your shoulders and gently moving your head to lay on his. At that moment, it all becomes clear, and you're suddenly unsure about why you ever felt confused about any of this.
"What now?" You say, barely above a whisper.
"We go and get our trophies," even though you're not looking you can hear the smile in his voice. "Though, before then."
You lift your head up off his shoulder to turn to him with raised brows. "Hm?"
"Now that we aren't fake dating, do the rules still apply?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I'd really like to kiss you right now," he whispers, and there's a hint of nerves as you watch his eyes dart in between yours and your lips.
"Really can't wait can you," you tease, though you still move to close the space in between you to. But just before your lips can touch his there's a knock at the door, causing you both to slump back with a sigh.
"Hey, are you two in there?" it's your race mechanic, "you're needed, you know, on the podium."
You roll your eyes to show your obvious disappointment at being interrupted, though Franco just watches you with an endeared smile.
"What are you thinking about?" you ask, not being able to hide your own smile.
"I'm just thinking about how beautiful you're going to look up on that podium, and how I won't have to pretend not to be in love with you anymore."

husband!coriolanussnow gangbang
notes: literally got possessed writing this 😭😭 also not fully proofread! does have a little bit of fluff here and there (couldn't fully dddne icl)
cw: dddne (?), rough sex, gangbang, possessiveness, coriolanus himself LOL, dirty talk, argument ??
-----------------------------------------------------------
Being a senator's wife meant you could have whatever you wanted. At least when the senator in question was Coriolanus Snow. He knew how to get what he desired, and he'd always take it one way or another. By extension, he would make sure you had everything you wanted.
Coryo loved you. You were the apple of his eye, his reason to keep going, the woman who kept him grounded when he was near losing his mind from stress. He wanted to give you the entire world.
So when you were riding him, hands splayed on his chest, babbling words that you hadn't even been sure were reaching him, he didn't miss your words of want.
"Baby, Coryo... fuck, honey. What? You wanna do something really fucked-up to me? You wanna put me in a gangbang or something?" you moaned out, a soft grin gracing your parted lips.
He had just been grunting out how he would let you do depraved things to him, and he to you. Mumbling something about spit, piss; a slightly slurred ramble. Coryo gasped out how he'd do dark, disgusting things to you, his words urging you to ride him faster. Then, you had asked him whether he wanted to put you in a gangbang, words that were only mostly sarcastic.
Except to him, they weren't. You had expected him to groan in annoyance, frustration maybe, at the thought of other men having you. But all you felt was his cock twitch inside of you slightly, his hips jerking up into you involuntarily. The look on his face was one you'd never seen before, despite being his wife for years now. His brows were lifted, something of surprise, his lips parted, his nose a little scrunched. Confusion, shock, arousal, and a little bit of possessiveness blanketed his features.
"Jesus, fuck, I... I don't know." he gasped out in surprise. The thought of putting you in a gangbang hadn't ever crossed his mind, the thought of anyone else knowing you so intimately usually made his stomach churn. Sure, that feeling was still there, but the way it sent a shiver through him and made his mind go a little fuzzy, overpowered the jealousy. He was almost disappointed in himself that he'd found it hot, that it made him throb. Almost.
By the time you'd come, Coryo following your orgasm instantly, that image of you being passed around had been stuck in his head. You laid your head on his shoulder, looking up at him, a little dazed. Your hand skimmed up his chest, moving to gently massage and knead his far shoulder. The gentle panting filled the room, feeling the rise and fall of his breaths under your body.
"Did you mean what you said?" he whispered a little breathlessly, glancing down at you for a few beats. His hand tenderly rubbed up and down your arm, tracing little patterns on your skin.
You swallowed a little thickly, louder than you had meant to. You searched his eyes for anger, jealousy, ultimately finding nothing but curiosity and love in them. "Yeah... yeah, maybe." you murmured with hesitantance, the thought of a gangbang not so uncomfortable as it should have been.
His breath hitched quietly, eyes glued to yours. "Okay," he murmured, followed by a gentle nod, "you know I can make that happen, my love."
And so he did, forever a man of his word. For you, at least. He was meticulous about every little detail, classically Coryo. He didn't trust strangers, not with his perfect, sweet wife. He needed men who would listen to him, who knew how dangerous he could truly be when crossed. It was a little silly, the way he went about it, almost akin to a recruitment. In the end, he had chosen his inner circle from the Academy. People who he had under his thumb for years now. Sejanus Plinth, Felix Ravinstill, Urban Canville, Festus Creed, and Hilarius Heavensbee.
He'd checked with you time and time again, making sure this was still okay with you, asking if there was anyone you wouldn't want there. You trusted Coryo's judgement, knowing your husband would never put you in a situation that wasn't safe. You couldn't deny that you had been more than a little nervous, but he quelled your anxieties each time.
He made each of the men get tested, twice over. He crafted a rough list of the things he wouldn't tolerate from his friends. They couldn't kiss you. They couldn't come in you. They weren't allowed to touch you excessively. Nothing romantic. That was for him, and him alone. He'd instruct them, tell them what to do with you. If they disobeyed him, he'd make sure they would learn their lesson.
So now, here you were, on the bed of a guest room in his penthouse. You sat back, your knees spread ever so slightly, bent a little, your hands propped behind your hips to support yourself. You were bare, bar your red, lace-edged underwear. A pair that Coryo had bought just for you.
The men kept their distance from you, for now. They were mostly bare too, also wearing only their boxers. It was intimidating. Very intimidating. You felt a little like a deer in headlights, and Coryo's protective instincts kicked in like a switch flipped. He was the only one fully clothed, in his black slacks and white, crisp button-up; his sleeves rolled up past his forearms.
He approached the edge of the bed, climbing over you. His hand gently grazed the side of your face, his thumb stroking your cheekbone reflexively. "I love you, baby. I'm gonna be just a few feet away the entire time." he whispered reassuringly, keeping his voice low and soft. His nose nudged to yours gently, "you need me, you say my name, yeah?" he added. Your breathing was slightly laboured, nodding slightly.
"Words, honey. Use your words. Tell me you understand." Coryo muttered, tilting his head to the side faintly. Your breath caught in your throat before you swallowed, breathing "I understand, baby. I'll say your name if I need you."
A vague, near imperceptible smile crossed his lips, leaning in and kissing you tenderly, soothing your every nerve. His hands slid down to slide off your underwear. He didn't want anyone else to take them off you, it was too intimate.
He gave you one last, reassuring look, kissing your forehead before standing back. He backed off, fixing his sleeves up past his elbows. Sitting back in a chair, manspreading, his eyes on you. He was scrunching your underwear in his fist, a silent claim over you. He averted his eyes reluctantly, focusing on his friends.
"Felix. You gonna stand there like an idiot, or are you going to do something?" he muttered firmly, an authoritative tone thick in his voice. It turned you on. Felix was complacent, a little too eager as he approached you. He jumped at the opportunity when Coryo had asked him to be a part of this, which your husband found utterly pathetic of him. He looked down on nearly every one of his friends in the room, even more so now that they would get a chance to be inside you. A twisted part of him wanted this, too. He wanted them to know how you moaned, how tight you were, so that they'd get a taste of it, and never have it again; so that they knew what he was getting every damn day.
Coryo knew Felix was scared of failure, wanting to please Coryo. He tilted his chin up visibly, his expression focused, his eyes stern. Felix crawled over you, making your husband narrow his eyes in disapproval. "Not so close." he ordered.
Felix stilled, glancing to Coryo, then back to you. Your eyes darted between the man on top of you, and the love of your life sitting in the chair to your left. But your gaze lingered on Coryo each time, as if looking to him for approval. Felix nodded curtly to Coryo, backing off just slightly. He tugged his boxers down, slipping them off.
He was nothing compared to Coryo, at least visually. Then again, it was hard to compare to a man as well-endowed as him.
"Is she wet?" Coryo asked, staring narrowly at Felix. He slid a finger hesitantly through your folds, inhaling sharply as he felt your arousal gather on his fingertip. He grazed over your clit, eliciting a gentle gasp from your lips. Coryo smirked faintly, leaning forward in his chair, his hands clasped together, your panties between them. His elbows were on his knees, getting a closer look.
Felix lifted his finger, looking at it, glancing at Coryo once again. "No. Don't taste it." he said firmly, a hint of anger clear in his voice. He nodded.
When Felix settled between your thighs, Coryo didn't miss the way your thighs stayed in their previous position, not parting instinctively like they always did for him. The thought alone made him grow hard in his slacks.
Coryo was burning holes into Felix, making sure his hands didn't touch your body too firmly, or anywhere he didn't like, while he fucked you. There was a stark contrast to the way you reacted to Felix, and the way you reacted to Coryo. Your moans were nearly inaudible, not nearly as frequent as they would be when your husband was deep inside you. It was a little short of mediocre, and Coryo could see on your face that you weren't enjoying it. He commanded Felix to stop, to pull out and get off of you. He obeyed instantly, clearly scared of Coryo.
The firm, possessive glare he threw Felix melted as he threw you a glance, his features softening with a gentle, reassuring smile. You saw your doting husband once more, and the way he ached to reach out and touch you.
Sejanus was next. He was different from the others. You knew Sejanus well, and you were even friends. He was good-hearted, and the only reason he had agreed to be a part of this was because of his loyalty to Coryo. He was still visibly a little freaked out over it, though. The way he approached you was hesitant, as though he would back out at any second.
He had more lenience over your body, due to how close he was with Coryo, how Coryo knew Sejanus wasn't a threat. Sejanus held onto your hips, pulling you gently to the edge of the bed, not wanting to lean down over you. He looked down at you and mumbled "are you sure this is okay?" concernedly, his moral compass going haywire. You nodded with a faint smile, "yeah, yeah." making Coryo smile softly at how sweet you were.
The only reason he was letting this happen was because he was still the one in control. He could put a stop to this if he wanted to; he could get every man in this room killed if he wanted to. He'd do it himself too, just for you. He didn't care about his friends in comparison to you.
Sejanus slid into you, his cock thicker than Coryo's. There was a stretch, a minor one, but it was still there. Your eyebrows scrunched momentarily and Sejanus stilled. "You sure this is okay?" he murmured, looking you in the eye intently, like he saw you as more than just a body he was fucking for the sake of his best friend.
"Fine. Yeah, I'm sure." you breathed, glancing to Coryo for a moment. But Coryo noticed the way you winced when Sejanus stretched you out, and he glanced at Sejanus before standing up and calmly walking a few steps over to you. His hand came up to your cheek, looking down at you as he gently ran his fingertips over your cheekbone. "Too much, baby?" he whispered. In all honesty, you couldn't tell if you would be able to take the way Sejanus' cock was stretching you out, considering he was barely halfway in. Coryo's eyes flicked over your face, seeing the hesitation. "You wanna show them how you use your pretty mouth instead?" he mutters to you, and you alone, as if it were only you two in the room, like no one else was watching. You nodded with a soft exhale.
Sejanus pulled out, following Coryo's orders. That got him. He felt his dick twitch in his pants at how quickly Sejanus did what Coryo wanted him to. Sej was the least idiotic out of the men surrounding you, knowing Coryo well, what he wanted before he had to overtly ask for it. If there was anything your husband got off on, it was power.
Coryo's fingers slid off of your cheek lightly, returning to his place on the chair. You got on your knees, an antsy gleam in Sej's eyes. "Hold her hair up, Sej," Coryo's voice flooded into your ears. His hands travelled into your hair, gently sweeping it into a ponytail, gripping at the back of your head.
"Is this okay?" he murmured concernedly, looking down at you. Coryo groaned, rubbing a hand down his face, his wedding band glinting. "Jesus Christ, Sejanus. Shut the fuck up, she's fine. She'll tell you if there's a problem-" it was clear in his voice that he was frustrated, probably from the straining hard-on in his slacks, but Sejanus cut him off. Coryo's head snapped up, his frustration building at his best friend's disobedience.
"I'm just being careful, man. I don't know how you fuck her, what she's okay with." Sej bit back, looking at Coryo. The whole room was tense; painfully so.
Coryo moved with an eerie calmness, one that was threatening, as he stood up. He took assertive, calculated steps to Sejanus, his jaw tense. "You think she's dumb? I told you she was fine. She told you she was fine. I know my wife. You wanna see how she likes to get fucked?" his voice intimidatingly firm. His nerves were struck from the way Sejanus had even dared to talk back, especially in the situation he was in, where Coryo was the one who was supposed to be in control. Sejanus was about to open his mouth before Coryo placed a hand on his chest and shoved him back, "just get the fuck back." he muttered.
Coryo slid his hands under your arms, sitting you back on the bed once more. His hands went to his belt, undoing it hastily with practiced ease. "Gonna show these morons how you deserve to get fucked, huh?" he huffed out, dropping his belt to the floor carelessly. He was aware there were still some of his friends who didn't get a chance to fuck you, but he couldn't handle seeing another one of them not give you what you needed. No one knew your body like he did, and he had to make that clear.
His hands went to his slacks, taking them off before he wrapped his fingers around your thighs, tugging you down to the edge of the bed, your legs bending at the knee now, spreading instinctively for him. The way you looked at him was different to the way you looked at his friends. You looked like an innocent thing to his friends, but the second Coryo was in front of you, tugging off his boxers, your eyelids dropped a little and your lips parted a few millimetres. You looked like you were near salivating at the sight of him.
He dragged his tip through your folds, making sure you were nice and wet for him before pushing into you slowly. "There we fucking go. Jesus, so tight." he hissed. His body leaned over yours, pushing some hair out of your face. His gentle touch became a firm grip on your jaw, "don't look anywhere else. Don't look at them." he breathed, his fingertips digging into the skin on your cheeks slightly. A small whine of obedience left you as you tried to nod, coming out as a slight movement from his hold on your face.
He gave a singular, hard thrust, grunting out "words, baby", his hand squeezing your jaw for a moment. A mixture between a gasp and a moan left your mouth, his cock hitting that perfect spot inside you. " 'M looking at you, only you." you moaned a little shakily, his next firm thrust earning another gasp from you.
The sharp snap of his hips became continuous and steady, his hand loosening on your face as he tucked some hair behind your ear gently. "This is how she likes to get fucked. You see? See the way she's moaning?" he panted, the sweat now starting to moisten his face with a dreamy sheen. "Shit- just get the fuck out. Everyone get the fuck out."
The door slamming shut behind the other men was the cue Coryo needed to speed up, letting his groans and grunts slip through. "Coryo, coryo" you gasped out, teetering over the edge. A weak, strained laugh escaped between his noises of pleasure. He was reeling over the fact that the guys outside could no doubt hear you moaning his name.
He unravelled you quicker than he ever had before, the power trip he was on making him want to fuck you into next year, if he could. The feeling of your pussy squeezing and contracting as you came sent him coming right after you, his face dropping into your shoulder with a strained groan.
He panted against your skin, your hand coming up to lazily run your fingers through his slightly-gelled hair. "Why did you make the others leave?" you mumbled curiously, lolling your head to the side, your lips resting at his hairline.
He lifted his head a little to look at you. "Because I knew none of the others would be able to make you come. I wanted to be the only one to see that. You coming is just for me." he breathed with a quirk of his lips, a flicker of a soft smile.
That was your handsome, prideful husband. Possessive, sure, but the way he smiled at you after sex was always boyishly charming.
"I'm going to send everyone home, and then we'll take a bath together. Yeah?" he murmured softly, his fingers coming up to gently run through your mussed hair. You nodded with a quiet hum and a smile, "yeah, yeah. I love you." you murmured back.
He leaned down ever so slightly to kiss your forehead, smoothing back your hair. "I love you more, my dove. I'm going to take care of you tonight. I think youve had enough for one night." he whispered against your forehead.

So today I bumped on this post and wanted to share some thoughts on the subject, but the account I reblogged it from seems to be off now so I lost my post and no one sees it. Still want to keep it, so...
Sorry, with all respect, but I just don’t get it. Like … WHY should we stop asking them about the thing they actually play? What exactly so bad happens to them if we do? By the thing I mean Haladriel as a ship. They play it. Literally.
Come one, it's obvious the show itself launched the ship. Intentionally, using all classic cinematic tools to make the exact romantic subtext visible to the audience (like gestures, poses, camera angles, looks eyes to eyes, sensual whisper) so we could definitely read it as romantic even if they refuse to confirm it openly. (Due to the possible unhinged reaction of the lorebros, I’m sure) So basically the show implied romance between them from the beginning, and now since they are stepping back, we just have to be ashamed to ask questions? Surely the actors give more interviews then the showrunners, because they are the faces of the characters, their representatives, they could give you the insight no one else could give since they play it and are the most involved in their personalities and emotions. They should be able to explain their motives and thoughts. This is how the acting craft works, they must FEEL the character. This is why for fans, hearing actors discuss a ship is like hearing the characters discuss their own feelings.
See what I mean? Typical romantic cinematic hint.
So again why shouldn't we ask them? why not let the actors talk about their interpretation? Miriel and Elendil's actors shouldn't be asked about them too, or it only concerns Morfydd and Charlie for some reason?
For god sake we all know the ship is doomed, there will be no future, but still the show revolves around them, even in the end of s2 he still mentioned she's his queen. But there was not enough interaction, mostly ambiguous one that we have to explain and develop ourselves, so why should we be deprived as well of their vision and of any extra detail we would like to know from the first hands? | don't feel like it.
And I think people just need to stop decide for the actors how they feel and being overprotective over literally nothing. Shipping is a part of any fan culture. And the actors are not made of glass, they actually are even supposed to speak out. Once again: the show presented and developed the ship. The actors play the characters of this ship. They play the feelings we all see. They are aware of the subtext. They do not feel ashamed to play it. They are not ashamed to play those characters. So we don't have to be ashamed to want to know more about what they play, what they mean and what is their vision on it. There is no harm being caused.
I actually miss good all days when the actors were not considered this sensitive. like for example during the promotion of the X-MEN both Mcavoy and Fassbender got unstoppably asked like million questions about their MAGNETO/XAVIER (Cherik) ship, they were shown fanarts and fanfics, even the explicit ones, they even had to read out loud some about themselves (yeah-yeah, not their characters, but specifically real-person ship aka FassAvoy). No one got offended. One can say they even encouraged it. Homosexual ship. McAvoy was married at that time. Still they were goofing around, touching each other and hugging all the time, talking about their character bromance and generally spreading fanservice all over the fandom. They were having fun alongside with the fans. This was gold.
By the way the same story with their characters: they are a protagonist and a villain , two opposites with sort of cosmic connection, they just won’t let each other go peacefully. There is love, hate, friendship, rivalry and pain. Some fans see them as a friends/foes, shippers like me see them as lovers. This ship is giant, and thank for the actors interaction and involvement into the fandom it just got deeper and much more exciting.
Highly recommended to explore.
Remind you of something? 🙃

Have you seen the new epic saga, it's something alright lmao
Of course I haven't seen it given that I never followed the live streaming to begin with not even in the first two sagas that I genuinely liked, much less now but a friend wanted to fill me in and since you asked and I wanted to be accurate, I tormented myself for almost 16 minutes to listen to the plot changes that I was told there would be and I am like
WHAT THE FUCK DID I HEAR?!!!!!!!!
I am sorry but again speakig purely on plot of course because honestly the music is really solid as always and the singers were amazing to transfer the emotions they wanted to transfer. Loved some of the melodies given, for example the intro of Charybdis was my favorite part I think but I am like HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT ALMOST ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OF THE FREAKING ODYSSEY IS IN THIS SAGA?!!!!!! Like he just kept the bare minimum again!
Sorry for the runt but yeah here goes:
"Not sorry for loving you"=> After all that backlash that song got even from the most loyal Epic fans he still kept it. I mean I admire his loyalty to his ideas but like he should have known that the song was not a good idea. I mean it was almost clear from the song's ideas that Jorge would dodge the subject of SA and that he would leave his fans guessing (smart move gotta give him that) at first given the suicide attempt Odysseus make but now it seems almost clear that he would want to dodge the subject just like he dodged the Circe thing it is just that right now he couldn't do it as blatantly because Calypso was an infamous moment of the Odyssey And of course the "I love you" Odysseus said...I said it before and I say it again it reminds me a blunt way to translate the reconsiliation of Odysseus and Calypso in the Odyssey. Okay even Odyssey was interesting in that (see my other analysis) even Homer uses the phrase "they rested by each other's side enjoying their closeness" so in one way even Homer seems to be implying that Odysseus forgives her and even tries to see it from her point of view but honestly what else could he do? Hold a grudge? A day before he would be FINALLY given the tools to make a raft? I think not. It almost felt like Odysseus felt sorry for Calyspo for one second in the Odyssey, when Calypso, a literal goddess, compared herself to his wife. It was an almost pity move on his part at that moment. Dunno what the musical wanted to do with this but this was not the way to do it! All the context of their talk and all was lost! If anything he tried to use a made-up thing, AGAIN to show some compassion for Calyspo. Calypso was already a lonely deity. That tragedy was enough for her. She didn't need any more tear-jerking stories for people to feel for her more in my opinion (kinda like whatever PJO did if I am not mistaken...either way yeah...)
"Dangerous"=> You know...at this point I am not even surprised that he made Hermes and Odysseus interract....like that would be my least of my problems. He does make Odysseus interract with all the gods under the sun in the musical even if Odysseus only interracts with is Hermes at Circe's island ONLY and Athena in the Odyssey and that after he has been through everything! Either way of course we would have Hermes there but like again with all the things we have from "video game logic" or whatever he wants to do...Hermes gives him another bag?! like I have no idea what is going on here! The only thing I would praise here is the emotional preparation for a possible reunion with Athena given how Hermes doesn't tell Odysseus who helped him so maybe he has an emotional load there.
"Charybdis"=> Okay for starters.....WHAT THE FUCK?! What is Charybdis doing AFTER Ogygia?! Not even a flashback!? (and I was wondering where the "Hermes told me" thing came from in that preview) Like where is that damn desperation of Odysseus having to face Charybdis right after he lost everyone?! Alone and hungry in the sea after a terrible storm that took away his men?! I also love it really how everyone thought originally that at least Charybdis would be accurate to the text and everyone was making their analysis and "look how fighting he is here compared to after when he wants to throw himself in the sea in Ogygia" and now it is clear that this thing came AFTER Ogygia for some reason. Like I am not even surprised anymore that some of the most iconic moments of the Odyssey were twisted. It almost seems deliberate at this point like "yeah let's change exactly the most iconic parts" that's why Circe was changed, Sirens were changed, Skylla was changed, Charybdis was changed...even the storm after the Helios island... The intro slaps no lie there but honest I have expressed my opinion on that before and got in trouble but I think that moment of desperation shouldn't be a fucking epic song. It was a man hanging for dear life from a tree! Trying his best not to die! (made also one small thing here) And like I get it, if someone sees that escape as "epic" for being so dramatic and impressive, I get it. have epic music in the background but what on earth with the lyrics? Like "destroy you"?! Really? or "bring it on!" like the last thing Odysseus wanted in the Odyssey was Charybdis to...bring it on! Lol! You may as well speak on the "I'm still fightng here" thing, I totally get it why, but to actually challenge the beast seems totally random. But then again I guess it fits more with THIS context given how he thinks he is now favored by the gods? In the Odyssey he was alone abandoned by all and everything with no hope left so I guess...
"Get in the Water"=> Like okay I have seen this in more replays than I can count from the very beginning from the demos till now. Ironically out of this whole thing it could be lowkey my favorite! Lol! Mainly because it fits the Odyssey PARTIALLY (yeah again Poseidon never wanted to kill Odysseus. That was written straight out in the freaking Odyssey! Even 1997 version that was inacurate as hell in many things did that right!). I would have loved it if this song was Poseidon having a monolog and Odysseus having his cries like "oh no!" or prayers as a second monolog. Like not actually interracting but have two parallel monologs! This trope is not used much and I wish I saw it more. Like Odysseus praying to Poseidon but Poseidon doing his thing alone and the two not having a dialog to each other. Apart from that the song was as we expected so far. Maybe the last part had me a bit iked but again I feel like it would be massively fixed if the two characters had parallel monologs and not actually interracting. I also love it how casually we have Odysseus accuse Poseidon in this saga for destroying his men while he CONSCIOUSLY killed the last of those himself.
"600 strikes"=> I'm sorry but....WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST SEE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?! Like I am sorry never felt like good music was so wasted in my entire life ever since the Siren fiasco! Like the song is amazing musically but what the hell did just happen?!?!?!?!?! For starters the underworld has a bus service apparently and all come up... I feel like Jorge uses this as a pattern at this point. When scenes like the underworld attracted so much fans and emotions from people who praised his choice to bring the ghosts and the voices up he wants to use it every time to focus on emotional load in a similar manner (like I said never followed him for real so I am not sure how much of it was planned before and how much of it was done on the way). But yeah of course we would expect the appearance especially with the hype at Love in Paradise. But excuse the fuck out of me WHAT!? Odysseus beating up Poseidon with his FUCKING TRIDENT with the power of friendship?! LOL! I have no idea what to take of this! We do know humans fought gods before (Diomedes looking at you) but ironically to my knowledge NEVER THE BIG THREE! Like you know...fucking ZEUS POSEIDON AND HADES?!? The three main pillars of the world (Heaven Earth Underworld)?! I don't think I ever loved a lyric so much (Odysseus admitting what he became from his trip) and so cringe at the same time (Fucking POSEIDON begging for mercy?! and calling him "monster" for fighting back?!" I am not sure to which to cringe first). Is this supposed to be the part where Odysseus redeems himself against Poseidon?! To dodge the fact that Tiresias DIDN'T give him instructions to break the curse?! So basically Odysseus redeems himself for what he did...by stabbing a fucking god?! Like...remember how Diomedes was cursed by the narrative for stabbing fucking Aphrodite after fucking ATHENA ordered him to?! Yeah right that works! What the hell?! And the final part was supposed to be some sort of redemption from the pattern "All I hear are screams"?! Like "how will you seel at night?" and the response "next to my wife"?! Is that supposed to be the last of the "all I hear are screams" pattern?! Is this supposed to be the ultimate "monster move" of Odysseus or something?! And of course we had to have an encore from the previous bag of winds scene as well like yeah once more the god Poseidon the fucking literal god of seas and land inhabited by humans, the guy who has the epithet Προσκλύστιος (Prosklystios)= the one who strikes against (to imply the waves) was taken down by a bag of winds?! I mean yeah makes total sense!
You know...it almost feels like Jorge read my fanfiction with his men supporting him against the Trojans! Looooool just kidding I just am too shook by the random things that come out of that magic hat! Like yeah Odysseus swimming, literally SWIMMING for two days in a fucking storm to reach Scheria was not epic enough apparently...we needed some sort of final boss god fight here...like Hades game or something like yeah...what's next?! Odysseus will shoot fucking ZEUS with his bow with the blessings of Athena to get even in thenext saga?!
Also of course we have sped up plot again because screw the Phaeaceans, the very reason Odysseus even TELLS HIS STORY! The one we could have his redemption, his cry and the move of compassion from them (not to mention it makes so much more sense than someone traveling on a freaking RAFT from Calyspo's island all the way to Ithaca since the Phaeaces gave him a ship and all) unless they somehow pop up later which I doubt... I also heard that the storm or whatever is signifying Penelope the coming home of her husband? Not sure again not following but yeah
To conclude as always music-wise really solid work very good harmonies and by n large very good intros
Plot wise
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Again I deeply apologize on the Epic fans out there and even to the creator himself if I sound harsh! I know but still...I just cannot anymore...the plot is like killing me!
and these are my PERSONAL OPINIONS! If you love it good for you guys! I just had enough of it really. Is it impressive? HELL YEAH is it creative ABSOLUTELY!! is it good? To me absolutely not! Honest never expected to say that but I think the "Get in the Water" is the song that makes the most sense out of it.
PS: I am sure the animators did a FANTASTIC JOB in their work too! And I believe I will see impressive stuff from now on! The same good job as the singers did!
#katerinaaqu answers#WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SEE?!#I am so sorry I am just beyond my wits at this point with this plot!#maybe I sound unfair I know but I can't anymore...#like disney's Hercules was more faithful to the source than this at this point! Comedically bad luck
Tomioka Giyu
🌊His anxiety leaves the atmosphere the moment you literally trip into his life. Giyu is always on edge as he can'r afford not to be. You really are testing the limits of his normally more stoic expression, his muscles always taught and his eyes always focusing on you. It's almost comedic how much you manage to tickle him out of the shell he usually hides himself in as your bad luck is something that has to be seen in order to be believed. He's extremely anxious to leave you alone due to all the accidents that constantly happen to you. Sure, you may have good reflexes and a keen observation as survival skills but that doesn't really do much at the end of the day to ease his nerves. He tries to minimise possible damage that you could cause to your surroundings as well as yourself as much as possible by keeping his room as empty as possible yet even then you still manage to get yourself into troubles. Separation from you is all the harder due to your unique skills as Giyu is extremely paranoid as soon as you are nowhere within his sight, terrified that something terrible may happen to you. It's so bad at one point that he basically just opts to be your stalking shadow.
Tokito Muichiro
🌫️Muichiro doesn't crack despite all the bad luck that always comes your way. He's lax even if you should drag him into your constant accidents and you are very grateful for that. In general he doesn't talk much about your bad luck simply because he knows that you must be so tired from constantly being called out for it and being criticised for it. Instead he silently endures all the accidents that come your way and ensures that you stay safe throughout them all. Yes, he knows that you have honed your reflexes and your instincts over the years where your bad luck always threw obstacles within your way but he still wants to protect you as something may always go worse than you expected. Sometimes you do feel guilty for dragging him into so many accidents but before you can even finish your apology he always cuts you bluntly off and tells you that you make his life much more interesting. Honestly, sometimes your comdecially bad luck combined with your clumsiness is quite a cute sight to witness and he certainly isn't going to hold that comment back. Muichiro gets very intimidating though when people call you cursed for your bad luck and you always receive apologies from those people.
Shinaguzawa Sanemi
🌪️How the fuck did you even survive for so long without being crushed under a bolder or struck by lightning?! He can never take you anywhere without something going wrong yet he refuses to leave you out of his sight because he just knows that things are going to be so much worse if he isn't literally babysitting you. He's cussing and yelling, swears to call an exorcist to remove your bad luck yet despite his barking voice and harsh words Sanemi remains extremely protective. He's the one who always tanks the damage that should have been inflicted upon you as things constantly want to fall on you and he stops you before you can start making a fuss, reassuring you that he's fine. At the very least you're aware of your surroundings, a necessary skill you acquired over the years and one that saves the Wind Hashira some troubles as he can always sense from your reactions when shit is about to go down. Also, he's the only one who is allowed to talk shit about your bad luck. As soon as anyone else dares to refer to you as a curse due to the bad luck that always accompanies you he is switching to scary guard dog mode, scaring the poor soul so much that they will never talk shit about you again.
Kibutsuji Muzan
🩸It is a miracle that he hasn't ended your pitiful existence yet as you do nothing but give him trouble. There are times where Muzan treats you quite literally like you're a demise he has to avoid unless he wishes to rot away, a part of him afraid that your bad luck may transfer to him. You're nowhere near his laboratory allowed because he knows that you are going to break everything within it and if you do break something by accident he punishes you harshly for it, especially since his patience has already long snapped. Sometimes when his frustration gets the better of him for a few short and frightening moments he contemplates to murder you, sharp nails threatening to crush your skill before he pushes you away and leaves you wailing in agony as he leaves you alone. It is a hard pill to swallow that he as the almost perfect being has fallen for someone so far away from what he strives to be and all that frustration is let out on you. He keeps you strictly contained within the Infinity Castle, doesn't let you leave your room as if wanting to contain the bad luck you always produce so that it doesn't affect him or the other demons serving him.
Kokushibo
🌙Kokushibo remains patient with you even though he must admit that in all of his years he has never met someone who has been experiencing as much bad luck in their daily life as you do. However, it is this affinity of yours to constantly experience accidents and dangers that prompts him to relocate you. Whilst your bad luck always seems to follow you Kokushibo concludes that at the very least he can try to minimise the damage as good as he can. For that he searches for a nice house in a good, rural location before he kills the humans inhabiting the house whilst letting everything else stay. That way you have everything you need already. Even despite the measurements he takes stalking you becomes something he increasingly finds himself doing as bad luck always strikes in smaller or bigger accidents. He takes notice of your quicker reflexes and your fine observation skills though and he respects those abilities as he knows that you developed them to counter your bad luck better. He's the one always keeping calm if you should panic when something happens as he understands that you aren't really at fault for anything that happens.
Douma
❄️Douma reacts so eerily positive and encouraging that you have a bad feeling about him from the very first day, your instincts telling you that he is seriously bad news before you even know about his true nature. You're just such an interesting little thing that the Upper Moon just can't help himself. His routine has been the same repetitive and boring routine for years upon years already yet your presence changes that. Douma is never bored when he's with you as there is always something happening when he keeps you around and those accidents that others avoid you for are what keeps him so entertained. He finds you utterly adorable, constantly on guard and on edge like a rabbit, waiting for the next shoe to drop. He doesn't want you hurt though which is why he uses his own body to shield you without any second thought, no matter how bad the accident may be. It is always a traumatising sight to have him cooing over you, asking you if you're alright all whilst his blood is staning you. A lot of his followers wish for you to disappear as they view you as a curse. None of them surive for long to say such mean things about you.
Akaza
👊Akaza is extremely protective of his darling so their tendencies to constantly stumble into dangerous situations due to their extremely bad luck quickly leads him to take things into his own hands. He's extremely worried about you all the time, especially when he can't be with you. He babyproofs the entire house that you live in in hopes of keeping the damage you may inflict upon yourself due to your bad luck and he doesn't like you leaving the house during the day when he can't follow you and keep an eye on you. As fast as your reflexes may be and as sharp as your observations may be, you're ultimately still human and for that you require his protection though Akaza still admires you for the skills you honed and developed during life. He gladly lets his own body suffer any blow that originally was meant for you, ignoring any wounds that he may receive as a result. His only focus is on you, asking you worriedly if you're hurt even though he's the one currently regenerating from the damage he tanked for you. If you should suffer from intense frustration due to your own bad luck Akaza is a very good listener who lets you vent out whilst attempting to comfort you to the best of his abilities.

I don't see the issue in believing that your alters are multiple people or not, but saying that it's "anti recovery" to believe that they are is genuinely one of the most idiotic things i've heard. i don't see why it's a problem? i know so many systems who consider themselves multiple people, who are doing perfectly fine in healing, without needing to see themselves as just "multiple parts of one person". Alters can be so completely complex, they can be so different that you'd genuinely see them as completely different people, because they are different people to that system. This is coming from a plural who sees their parts more as just different parts of themself, by the way. Believing your alters are just multiple parts of one identity is completely fine, but claiming that it's "anti recovery" for others to believe that they're multiple people is one of the shittest things you could do. Just let people do what they want, there isn't anything wrong with that? I definitely see that systems can quite literally have what is basically multiple fully formed identities, fully formed people.
.
#our system despises the “parts of one person” bullshit antis like to spew to invalidate other systems#how another system views its headmates has nothing to do with them#i wish someone would tell us we're encouraging dissociation by seeing ourselves as separated individuals#like we will go off#mind your own damn system and not everyone else's for fuck's sake#hhm i usually see those “parts of one person” people talking about how miserable being a system is#maybe if they treated their headmates like people instead of pieces of people they wouldn't be so damn miserable just saying#i mean if saw myself as a person and some other headmate in my system kept trying to push that#im a broken piece of one person i would raise literal hell and make them hate life until they respect me#again antis need to quit saying what is recovery and what isn't#like shut up you're not the police of how systems work#pluralgang#pluralpunk#endo friendly#plural community#plurality#pro endo#mixed origin system#traumaendo#endogenic safe

What are you even supposed to do after you finish reading something that cannot be beat. I felt like that after finishing Golden Kamuy, but now I'm really fucking feeling it after just finishing Usogui. That was the most insane incredible experience I've ever had reading a manga. I kneel.
#its got me feeling like a victorian asylum patient.#fuck oh my god. please has anyone else read it please can yuo hear me...#its 7 am. i need to sperg somewhere. somehow.#i never make posts like this.. thats how much i need to glaze this series.#firstly. the yaoi is world class.#anything else would be secondary to that but everything else is executed flawlessly as well.#it gets so fucking silly. like the naked guy doing a polygraph on a plant so he could win at the game battleship.#but its also an emotional rollercoaster.#the foreshadowing that's sprinkled in everywhere ooohh my god....... the tension and build up and stakes... its peak......#when ive read some super popular normie manga like jjk or dunmeshi or csm ive felt literally nothing#they may as well have been dozens of volumes of tv static#but sooo many people love them and talk about them.#nothing wrong with liking normie stuff btw. thats just my subjective opinion on those series#i put usogui on my To Read list after watching some video essay that ive completely forgotten about ages ago.. and thats it#ive never seen anyone else talk about it.#if i can make just One tumblypoo read this series then i will be happy

with my phantom hourglass replay, there are two things i noticed;
a possible theme you could glean from the game is action vs inaction, and i think it's especially prevalent before you even leave mercay the first time, with oshus frequently urging link to not go after the ghost ship, then to just wait until the broken bridge is fixed, and seems reluctant at every turn while link and ciela are more than eager to go and do something about this problem, and the people of mercay in general talking about things and their problems but never seeming to act on their fears or desires, as well as the mention that due to the ghost ship, very very few people are still sailing around, while linebeck is one of the only people we see in the game actively going after the ghost ship and still sailing around. i might make a longer post just talking more about the action vs inaction in phantom hourglass but i just noticed it a bit and thought it was a bit of an interesting sort of theme you could find in the game.
linebeck moves so fucking much. i think he moves more than any npc in the rest of the game. not just in his intro cutscene where he is very animated, just in how much he moves when just standing in his little idle post, it's damn near distracting when the camera is focused on him, he moves a lot. i don't think i've really acknowledged how much he moves, and it really gives the impression that he's antsy or eager to get going, both of which fit him pretty well with how he acts.
#phantom hourglass#linebeck#loz#legend of zelda#salty talks#imo the action vs inaction thing feels esp interesting to me when looking at oshus specifically. he and his world are in grave danger#and he knows it and he actively does nothing and even seems reluctant to let ciela and link go ahead and do something.#of course he comes around on it but it's very interesting. has he given up at that point? thats what it suggests to me#that hes like. joined the people of mercay in just lying down and waiting for other people to fix their problems or just. not do anything#otherwise on mercay you have that old guy in the bar who spends the whole game not leaving bc he doesnt want to face his wife#and she never goes to the bar to actually look for him and just talks about it if anything#the guy with the blue tunic talks a lot about linebeck and his ship and almost gives the impression that he really wants to talk to him#but yknow. doesnt. theres the women that tells you about docks being shut down and how linebeck is the only person who's showed up#the woman you see at the broken bridge who's just like oh well! time to wait til someone fixes it.#even the guy fixing the bridge iirc is like well fuck i gotta do it or else oshus is going to bitch at me abt it#everyone seems reluctant to act which makes for an interesting way in how our main crew stands out#it is less so oh theyve been chosen specifically for this its moreso they're the ones who are fucking doing something about this#for their own various reasons some of which are more selfish but theyre still doing something#will likely have more stuff to say when im done but ofc we have other characters in the game who have to do with this#anyways. linebeck is so animated all of the fucking time it's great i dont think theres any other character that moves as much as him#when he's just standing around to talking to link it's great. he's so ready to get going.#it works with him being an anxious mess and also with like. oh he's probably understimulated. you know he's got a nasty case of wanderlust#i can put it with the idea that he's understimulated and afraid to stim in public so he's just constantly moving#he probably drums his fingers on tables bounces his leg when sitting paces around switches the way he sits or lays down often#tbh this kinda fits in with him being one of the main characters who takes action moreso than a lot of other characters#his arc culminates in him taking action he's going after the ghost ship he's moving around the world the only issue is that one of the#actions he takes is running away from his problems literally n metaphorically (tho idk if facing the jolene problem is a good idea for him)

this is weird as fuck to me, this sanctification of virginity. i don't see any morality in neither sex nor abstaining from it. are we really doing this? this "remaining pure" bullshit?? what year is it? this is not unique or avant-garde or counterculture or even ironic at this point, it's just weird and reactionary as i'm pretty sure it's mostly targeting women
#don't wanna show who put this on my dash bc i like them but i really don't get this#not to mention how heavily religious it all is#and maybe you all don't hate religion as much as i do#but i do#and this is bathed in the ugliest parts of it#it's NOT counterculture and fascinating to describe yourself as god's favourite virgin or whatever else#it's literally just conservative. like that's It#there's NOTHING more interesting about it. so i wish you people with normal views would stop putting such talking points on my dash#or else just come out of the closet with your weird views#one or the other#mine

sorry mild hater moment incoming but . idk what it is with s/onadow fans (not all of them. just a very loud subsection) specifically and making every little thing shadow does about s/onadow even if its the biggest reach imaginable and immediately going "omg s/onadow" every time hes confirmed to be in some upcoming thing . or being so obsessed with the ship and letting it warp their perceptions of things so much to the point where they act like every little thing is a hint from sega that theyre in love for real. and they cant admit that its not canon or that just because they choose to interpret certain things romantically doesnt mean that thats actually what sega/the writers intended even if theres an obvious non so/nadow explanation for it
before people take this the wrong way i dont hate the ship i dont think that its completely baseless or that everyone who likes it is wrong and annoying or anything . but some of you look like this if im being honest
#and this isnt all s/onadow exclusive problems for example amy cant be in anything without people making it about so/namy#which is just as annoying. but on tumblr i see the most of this sort of thing from so/nadow fans#and when it comes to gay pairings specifically its ONLY so/nadow i see people act this way over#for example. and im NOT trying to argue over which pairing is better this is just an example.#son/knux is probably the second most popular gay ship involving sonic#and if we're talking the franchise as a whole not just sonic prime. sonic and knuckles interact more than sonic and shadow#and they also have a lot of moments like knuckles blushing over sonic touching his shoulder or sonic bridal carrying him or whatever#but i dont see people try to argue that theyre canon because of any of those moments.#or try to make everything knuckles does about so/nknux even if its a massive reach#(AGAIN im not trying to argue over which is better i was just giving an example. before people misinterpret that)#so what is it about sonic and shadow that makes people do this . do they just not care about sonic and/or shadow outside of the ship ?#are they only into sonic for so/nadow and nothing else ?? hello what is going On here#people will be like ''so/nadow fans are being fed so good'' and theres a 60 percent chance the food is just them standing near eachother#like ive literally seen people take certain sonic moments or shadow art or whatever that have Nothing to do with the other character#and couldnt reasonably be made about them . but still somehow find a way to make it about that anyway#and then go on to unironically use the stuff that they literally made up as proof that its canon#ive also seen people just spread blatantly false information as evidence the ship is canon#like hello. what are we doing#whatever happened to just liking a non canon ship and being able to admit that its not canon but still have fun with it anyway#this wasnt prompted by any one specific person/post btw just a pattern of behavior ive noticed

Feeling very violent rn so here's a very controversial opinion:
Everything after season one of Young Justice sucked.
Look, I know I'm obsessed with the show but that doesn't mean it's good, it means that I'm too deep into it at this point to get out. There are good moments within the other seasons but in general? They were not good.
I'm sorry. I understand that they wanted to be creative and have a neat narrative and deep lore and all that. And they do! The narrative and lore is extremely deep.
But the plot? The characters??
Season one was an actual functional show that balanced character development, plot and dialogue with world building, lore and messaging.
The other seasons do not do that.
Season two bounced back and forth between like 16 characters. We got some development for some characters but even that was minimal compared to the character development in S1. And this isn't me complaining that the og group wasn't in S2 enough. That's not my issue. I would've loved to focus on a new group and I think that Jaime, Bart, Ed and Gar would've been super cool to focus on. I loved what character development they did have and I craved more.
But the problem? The problem is when you have 16 fucking characters that you are trying to develop and shove into a coherent plot and have actual meaningful scenes. There just wasn't enough focus on S2. Imo, S2 was meh because the characters got left by the wayside. The plot, dialogue, world building, lore and messaging was fine, there just seemed to be a lack of heart/warmth in the show because of the characters. It's hard to get invested.
Then holy shit. S3 introduced more characters. And the plot got more contrived and 'big picture' to the point that it started to abstract. It felt like nothing mattered. There were no stakes, you were just watching things happen. There was 50 fucking things happening an episode and 80% of it was lore/world building. It felt like I was studying for a fictional history exam.
I'm pretty sure the main character in S3 was earth 16. Just the entire universe. Because goddamn. We checked in on almost every living being and EVERYTHING was a plot point. Most of it wasn't even relevant to anything happening in the season. Man it was.... it was bad.
And at that point it just wasn't enjoyable at all to watch. I probably should've stopped watching but at that point the sunk cost fallacy had already kicked in. I knew it could be good. Maybe it could be good again. And people were constantly praising it as cinematic genius so I was like 'okay well maybe I'm missing the point? Maybe you aren't supposed to enjoy shows? Maybe this is fine?'
But season four broke me.
The creators heard that people were frustrated by the lack of character focus and the episodes following 72 characters and the episodes switching between 50 different subplots every episode and their solution? Their solution was to take allllllll the different unconnected plots and, instead of evenly spreading them throughout the season, jam them all into 'arcs'. So you had a bunch of mini seasons consisting of 3-5 episodes dedicated to a cast of ~5-8 characters (some of them new). And each of these episodes had unconnected a plots, b plots and c plots.
THAT IS NOT A SOLUTION
Holy shit that is not a solution.
Not to mention the overarching plot of the season, in which we had no fucking clue what was happening until the final episodes where everything became a speedrun to wrap everything up. We literally had no idea what the main plot was until it was ending.
Good god it was bad. It's bad writing!
I know people liked it and good for them. You should like what you like and you don't have to justify it. But for me it was insanity. I'm sorry I actually don't want a season long subplot where Beast Boy is depressed and sleeps all day. I would be cool with it if it had anything to do with the larger story but, surprisingly, spending five minutes watching Beast Boy sleep every episode didn't make for compelling storytelling.
I'm still not over how we didn't even know who the main villain was until the end of the season. And then all of a sudden he does a villain monologue to tell everyone his evil plan and his motives. Super cool actually. I love it when I have no idea what the stakes are for the majority of a show. It's incredibly good storytelling when you leave the audience in the dark about a major player in the plot for all of the plot. And then doing an info dump evil monologue in the final episodes to rush through the explanation??? Fucking fantastic and not a sign of terrible pacing at all.
I'm just so frustrated. The show isn't about being a show anymore. The show is an entire cinematic universe shoved into 20 something episodes. It's desperate to tell every single story at once, audience, pacing and good writing be damned.
I'm so tired of the constant praising of Greg. His whole 'i don't write endings because life doesn't have endings' and 'i don't write cliffhangers, I just leave things open ended' thing is pretentious bullshit. I'm tired of pretending it's not. A good story has an ending. Stories are not life! Some of the best shows I've ever watched had planned endings. And oh my god. The cliffhanger thing... that's just semantics my guy. Greg you write cliffhangers. You can insist they aren't but I'm going to call a spade a spade.
It's also.... I'm fine with explaining things, in fact I love it because it's an excuse to talk about the stuff I love, and I have a fairly decent knowledge of comic book lore. So, I could not only understand what was happening in the show but I was also super enthusiastic about explaining it to people. But hey Greg? Hey buddy? If 90% of your audience doesn't know what the fuck is going on and needs to be familiar with super specific obscure comic characters from the 70's then you might have a problem.
I think I realized halfway through s4 that the most enjoyment I got from an episode was when an obscure comic character would cameo in it. But then I realized that a) they generally weren't explained at all and b) 50% of the time they weren't just hanging out in the background and they were vital to the plot. So to understand who the fuck they were and what the fuck was happening you had to be familiar with... well all of DC comics actually.
Anyway this rant is getting long and unhinged and I don't think there's a point so I'm going to cut myself off even though I have so much more to say on the topic. I think my general point is just that I didn't enjoy watching the later seasons and it's chill if you did and we should all respect each other's opinions ✌️
#rant#oh also the messaging sucked#the messages itself were fine. like 'you should go to therapy if you are depressed' and 'respect people's religions' and#'figuring out your gender/sexual identity is chill af'#those are great messages. the content is great and i don't disagree#BUT HOLY FUCK#yo Zatara ranting about his religion to Fate for 15 minutes is not how you get a message across#messages are supposed to be like themes and subtle points of the narrative#it's not supposed to be a fucking psa where the characters just talk for half the episode and say the message verbatim to the audience#itd be like if in season one M'gann stood up and spent ten minutes talking about the damaging psychological effects of body image issues#and everyone else just sat there and nothing happened and M'gann just kinda spoke about it#or if Artemis was just like 'im going to do a presentation on why child abuse is bad'#its just. thats not. thats not how messages in a plot work#but they didn't develop the characters enough. so instead of s1 where the messages were blatantly obvious#we just had side character zatara who we know nothing about talk about religion like he was doing a PSA for kindergartners#because we don't know his character and he had zero focus so that was literally the only way to get the message across#and im sorry but that's bad writing. if you are sacrificing character plot and narrative for a message then maybe scrap the message#or you know actually have a developed character do the message. like write the message through a developed character so it doesn't#need to be spoonfed to the audience like we're five year olds learning different shapes from a teacher

everytime i think about the new chapter the more and more i like it, it really consolidated yuuta and gojo's characters. the revelation of how the higher-ups were taken down and the set-up for the scene with gojo and yuuta's conversation about what their plan was for gojo's body, in case he lost, might just be the part i find most interesting. all in all, the chapter really highlights the underlying difference between the violence of oppression and the violence of resistence and revolution.
when it comes to yuuta and the archetype of his character he is the pure embodiment of love in the series. if yuuji is able to reach sukuna because he was one with him (love as oneness), yuuta's entire exitence has sorrounded love and, specifically, love as a curse. sukuna's surprise at yuuta's antics come from a place of not understanding love and therefore being unable to conceptualise that yuuta would go so far as betray his own humanity for it. he can't conceive how love can drive a person like yuuta, who's sweet and kind-hearted, to a place as cursed as this - emphasised by the sheer horror and heinosity that is seeing the usage of gojo's dead body with yuuta's innocent expression. but we know that yuuta's journey has always been marked by this concept of love as a curse, starting all the way back in jjk 0 where yuuta's unwillingness to let go of a deceased rika caused her to linger in the world in the form of a cursed spirit. one that yuuta learns to let go of by the end of the story. a lot of what he learns in that moment is about consent and mutuality in love (hence his domain expansion name), and although rika's soul passes and gets freed she is able to manifest her will into her vessel that continues to protect yuuta until this day. yuuta asking gojo for consent to use his body not only consolidates this mutual exchange and respect that he has for those he cares for - which are his main driving force - but is also exactly what separates him from someone like kenjaku, who body hops with total disregard for who they were originally. so there's that layer of irony behind yuuta having rika consume kenjaku to copy his technique and make use of it in a equally disturbing but more compassionate way. which in itself can serve to both question if intent plays a role in absolution and introduce, once again, the idea that humans and curses are not so different, as explored between mahito and yuuji in shibuya with them mirroring each other.
in regards to gojo i think his aknowledgement of his own inertia when it came to the revolution that he was leading was the cherry on top to consolidate who gojo really was as a person. gojo's greatest character flaw was arguably that he simply wasn't radical enough, allowing his students to be targets under the influence of the higher-ups. he had reasons not to kill them, as he explained before in the series, but he still failed to weight the consequences of his own actions and how no one is rewarded by working under a broken system. and i feel like having the youth he guided watching as he killed them is also quite significant as they're followers of this new revolutionary ideology.
i think the shock or impact these violent or twisted acts by the hands of those forced to survive within the status quo (like maki slaughtering her clan, gojo killing the higher-ups, yuuta taking over gojo's body) as a reaction to the violence they're subjeted to by this same system serves some purpose. and i think this is the reason the higher-ups are these anonymous faceless figures, barely-there personalities who have such a big influence in the lives of so many people. even in the real world, and we can think of systems like capitalism and how it exploits people in such a casual way and it relies on that exploration to survive, we sort of take for granted that violence coming from those institutions, having our attention driven away from the minority that's upholding these systems to other things instead. that violence is more "acceptable" because we've been conditioned to it whereas the violence in response to those acts is always met with more scrutiny. and that kind of contextualises why shoko and nanami, for example, much like gojo, aren't really revolutionary with their ideals either - or rather, do not get that priviledge. the difference being gojo was someone these higher-ups were actively afraid of, because if he wanted to, he could have done more. and that's exactly why the instant he was sealed it was the perfect opportunity for them to do whatever they could to prevent him from coming back and place new-drawn targets on the backs of the people gojo was protecting. the gruesome nature of maki slaughtering her clan or the off-putting way people react to yuuta discarding his own humanity and going against what he believes is right to make sure gojo's legacy continues is almost forcing this question of what are people willing to stomach in the name of survival and change.
gojo remembering geto in that crucial moment ("i was falling behind" or "i have to catch up") and just having in mind how they were both so young and naive is so incredibly bittersweet. geto had radical ideals, no matter how misguided. he looked at the world and he had this unshakeable conviction that things couldn't continue to be the way they were. he reached incredibly misplaced conclusions, yes, which came from a place of great pain and alienation, but gojo finally stepping forward to follow that same path, to be more radical, also sort of confirms that things could have been so different if only gojo had the same level of consciousness back then; that they could have found a way better solution together instead of the tragedy that ensued. the parallels between them add an extra layer of wistfulness to their bond, too. their fates have and always will be so intertwined, in such a beautiful and tragic way. and i think geto's unwillingness to force gojo to take a certain path will always be one of the biggest proofs of his love towards him. at the end of the day, even knowing gojo was who he was, geto always seemed to want to protect gojo's path from being stained like his.
at the core, jjk really is a story about revolution and humanity; a story about love and curses and how love is the most twisted curse of all (which has been reinforced over and over again). the fact some are rewarded and some are punished for taking certain paths under the same system is there to convey a very specific message. i really love the incorporation of eastern philosophies within the story and the role horror plays, too. the usage of the genre to deepen the impact of these themes and the way things are introduced with the intention to provoke almost visceral reactions in the readers (much like yuuta's own reaction) also makes the message much more impactful. i think this chapter was great!!!
#idk random rant because i really like 261 and my stsg heart is in shambles i adore them so much and they make me hurt so bad :')#btw people cancelling shoko and hating megumi is so silly#like idk characters aren't one dimensional and shoko much like gojo didn't seem to believe he would lose either#she can care about him and still place him in a pedestal one thing doesn't invalidate the other ashgdaj#she looked so freaking good in the chapter and people started hating her?! give her a break!!! she deals with death everyday since her#adolescence. it was also clearly not that serious?! i thought gojo's comment was lighthearted shdash#that hot woman is commiting medical malpractice and literally doing the impossible. that's so cool!!! feminism :3 let's focus on that#oky but seriously. people do care about gojo!!!#gojo himself doesn't really allow to think of himself as human not even posing the slight possibility of not getting out of it alive...#the power imbalance between him and everyone else except geto is the point#and it's why sukuna was able to have the most balanced fight with him in the first place because of the alienation power brings#can we talk about how yuuji casually asks gojo to put limitless down so he can touch him and yuuta loves gojo so much he is willing to let#go of everything to make sure he didn't die for nothing? he was not unloved. did you see everyone's proud faces cheering him on??#he's their pookie. a very annoying one but still a pookie#gojo satoru#okkotsu yuuta#jujutsu kaisen#jjk 💭

the biggest thing about X6 is not that he doesn't think of himself as human (though he doesn't, and according to some it's correct) BUT that he doesn't see himself as a Person
#searching through the X6-88 tag on tumblr has not brought me joy#also. 1 thing about is that i hate hate hate the (i think) canon blue eyes he has. like. for fucking what#1st i saw them on tumblr and thought 'well thats stupid. whyd you give him blue eyes? so hed look special? thats weird. at least its uncanon#also. on god. i saw some post headcanoning the companions' appearances and it was p cool UNTIL they got to x6#and they gave him grey 'almost white' eyes for literally no reason. like if you want to go with the scary factor theres so many ways for it#but no. some people think that blue/grey eyes are sooo special. and for what#<- i have brown eyes but im not just being salty. it really sucks. i dont wanna be the one to call fandom racism but it does smell like it!#also like. i didnt want to go on a stupid tirade about racism in the tags again but the way fandom treats x6 AND preston is just upsetting#other people have made some very good points about it and im not going to repeat them here (also noones gonna read this)#but like... theres 3 'main' black characters that i remember: preston garvey (whom the stron majority of the fandom hates/disliked)#x6-88 (basically the players slave? also hated for being mean and unfeeling (which is justified imo). no quest no freedom no nothing)#and gloria (who i havent met in game but ive heard some actual criticisms of (like. the way shes treated ingame) and noone else talks about)#if theres any other Named and Important characters. sorry but i literally do not remember them#coming back to x6 being justified in being unemotional/mean. he was literally raised this way. he doesnt consider himself to be a person#being he was made that way. he is a Thing and hes meant for one job and hes made to inspire fear#and hes not supposed to have emotions so he just. doesnt. if he does he cant express them anyways#1 if fallout4 was a better written game (or 2 if x6 was white) i think thered be SO much fanfiction about him. the possibilities are endless#i have something brewing in the back of my head. i might start writing even though i suck and its going to be bad#ANYWAYS. general fandom thought on x6 are WRONG and im being a HATER. fuck everyone who doesn't like x6. if you dont like x6 get off tumblr#especially if you like gage but not x6. leave fr#i just woke up wtf am i doingggg

I’m so sad because no one responds to my attempts to reach out. I only have three friends, and I don’t speak to any of them, I’ve managed to self isolate so well that now I only have three friends- even when I had more friends I wasn’t close fk any of them and the friendships lasted less than a year each.
A while ago my friend said “everybody has someone else” and I don’t. I just don’t. I’m a third wheel in my friend server because it’s me, and a couple. And that’s it. They 2 of my 3 friends. I don’t think my third friend even likes me anymore.
I only have three friends and I’m so scared that’ll turn into 0 soon
#I don’t know how to maintain a friendship#I’ve been friends with two of these people since elementary school#but even then for both of them there have been multiple year long gaps where we weren’t speaking#I don’t know how to have friends#I either get too clingy or I pull away#I don’t have an in between#I literally only have three friends#no romantic partner#no one else I talk to#nothing#I’m so stupidly lonely#and I did this to myself#am I over sharing on tumblr again? yes#do I care? no#nobody’s gonna see this post anyway#I have zero reach#and I’m not tagging any legit tags#except:#vent tw#tw vent#personal vent#vent post#okay#those are the only legit tags on here#cause trigger warnings are important

Some theories, thoughts, and answers to questions that are in the works that I need to attempt to write out sometime, but probably won’t until I eventually reread Hollowpox on my eternal reread:
What led Squall to try and revolt? Was it a decision by himself, with others, or was there a third party involved? What is true and what isn’t?
What is the fallout and aftermath of Mog’s actions at Courage Square, and what might her future as a budding Wundersmith in Nevermoor look like?
Christmas Eve: is it a Distraction, is there a Ghostly Hour involved, is it related to the Massacre, and how could it relate to modern Nevermoorian religion and Squall’s exile and Eventide activities?
Maud: does she have a knack or some sort of power, how and when does she use it, what is her dynamic with Squall based on, and why is he so scared of her?
Miscellaneous Silverborn Masterpost additions, on a rolling basis as I (or anyone else!) thinks of things.
#and then eventually everything I’ve mentioned that I’d crosspost over here because I reference it in posts and then never do#nevermoor#nevermoor theory#not yet but um….. soon…… ish……………#I won’t get these out for awhile probably but. am bored and have nothing else to post so. sharing a peek at my drafts!#some of these are answering asks people sent or extrapolating on other posts#so here’s a reminder that I always love discussing any thoughts and theories so feel free to send them my way :)#also some of these I’ve talked about before briefly in other posts or on discord and just never put on here#there’s prob some other things I’ve been needing to crosspost on here but I literally can’t remember what rn oops lol#I also need to edit my theory masterpost / navigation but ummmm not rn lol#I can share like a first draft of the Maud one but I want to approach it again after I reread Hollowpox and think abt it on a larger scale#(I put it in a reddit comment and then am sad when it predictably got no attention lol)

I went into bg3 fully ready to have a good time and have done so despite many ways in which the game is not good and have not worried too much over various dramas about patch changes but my chill streak has finally ended and I am wailing gnashing my teeth etc. about patch 7 (the supposedly final one with story/content changes) not adding companion reactivity for any of the durge content in act 2
#gotta regain my chill about this. it doesn't change the good version of bg3 that exists in my head#but like. durge is literally the protagonist character. and a huge chunk of story is just bizarrely missing from act two#all the baddies recognize you and no one reacts#warden says you were an important guest no one reacts#kressa says she had a great time torturing you for weeks no one reacts#and it's so misaligned with companion reactivity for everything else. like#I am one of those players who goes around the camp circle talking to every single companion after anything even mildly important happens#to hear the couple of lines of dialogue they have about it#because they've got a couple of lines of dialogue about every plot development and significant moment in other companion storylines!#but they don't have a single word for enormous central plotline revelations about the player character#it makes the act 3 reactions bizarre too because everyone's shocked by what gortash says and it's like#literally everyone in moonrise was like 'oh hey it's you again' what did you THINK 😭#a lot of people complain about the resist!durge final scene after killing orin being lackluster#and yeah sure I feel it's lacking in a few ways but like. at least it exists.#a cutscene does play and afterwards the companions do react. ymmv on whether those reactions are impactful or fitting#but they do--crucially--exist#whereas in act 2 there is straight up nothing#when people say right in front of the companions 'hello fellow villain fancy seeing you back here again'#there is not even so much as a 'dude are you okay' after kressa talks about keeping durge prisoner and torturing them#okay okay it's fine I'm getting it out of my system I'm gonna be normal about this again#the companions had reactions in the good version that exists in my head 😔#scribblingface plays bg3#okay actually also like larian has made so many changes based on fans complaining a lot about something#often changes that made the complaining people happy but pissed off everyone who already liked the current version#not weighing in on the merit of various specifics but it has struck me as a sometimes odd and unwise degree of#listening to what the players want. like just tell your story and accept that some parts won't please everyone#but THIS THING is universally agreed on by every durge player#because it's not something 'wrong' it's something completely absent that should have been there in order to align with the rest of the game#and yet. we don't get this change in the final update.
