You know what!!! FUCK all these people who disbelieve my ability to talk about monster fucking and all these publishers who don’t think that the market exists!! I’m going to pitch my shit to NPRs podcast RadioLab why not? Every time I’ve pitched to a big time podcast I’ve actually gotten the opportunity to platform my work so I’m gonna shoot for the moon. I AM MANIFESTING RN THAT YOU NAY-SAYERS RUE SAYING NO TO ME (this comes off ominous but I mean. You know. Like missing your bag because monster fuckers are such a big market).
Big City: This would be dispatching on Hard Mode; all emergency all the time, posts are numbered instead of just saying the intersection, full of big swingin’ egos on both sides of the radio. Pay is fine.
Children’s Hospital: Mostly non-emergency transfers. Would get to work with fixed wing and helicopter air ambulances. But the pay isn’t great and the commute is far.
Fire Department: This one is interesting. They work 24-hour shifts on a modified Kelly schedule, which works out to about 10-12 days a month. It’s in an area I’m unfamiliar with, and I’d be learning to dispatch fire as well as EMS. The pay is fucking BONKERS. 💰 💰 💰
I emailed my lawyer about the bariatric clinic job; she said to meet with HR in person if possible. So I was (and still am) procrastinating setting that up. My lawyer would gladly kick down the door and ask all the hard questions, but I am not that person 🥺👉👈
This is hard and I wish I still had an income and I don’t want to deal with the bariatric clinic anymore, but I’ll admit, the thought of getting back to dispatching is making me happier than I thought it would.
