i do find it funny how most of the fan depictions of belos were far more interesting and detailed than s3 belos. i've seen fanart and fanfics of him where he's a complex villain struggling with religious guilt and then the canon is just like.. lmao yeah he's pure evil. kill him.

I loveeee this so much like, Bad is ultimately the biggest softy on the island.

He's much ancient than he lets on and many have mentioned about how much that experience with time sort of fudges with your perception and your willingness to connect with other people because what's the point when by the time you've blinked they're just gone?

Because for someone that cares so much, that cares so deeply, losing people over and over again hurts. It's best to be careful with what you give others, who you make connections with, how much you can admit to yourself you care.

And someway, for some reason, he ended up saddled with a kid that knew only survival and blood and violence, and took him in and taught him as much as he could. Watched over him when he was able, before time separated them.

And again, with the Eggs, with his friends on the island, he's attached once more. Everything he's ever done is for them. That was his grounding point. He nearly lost himself but found his footing again.

And now he sees Cellbit spiralling, following that path, echoing the same self-destruction. And Bad knows his heart. Bad knows that the child he met in those games and the man he met on the island after all these years had grown and healed so much. That even if he wasn't able to keep an eye of him afterwards, somehow he turned out alright despite everything.

But now those old wounds have reopened, and Cellbit is bleeding and he'll let himself keep bleeding if that's what it takes to win his crusade. Even if he'll end up being the empty shell of a man at the end of it, drowning in a pool of blood.

And Bad refuses that.

I am so excited what he plans next.

remember when i said over a year ago that vegapunk's arc would start revealing even more of sanji's power and potential and how hard that was worrying me? yeah

I just think Oshi No Ko could've been extremely good if it hadn't been written by a man

#not to be a misandrist but the potential was sooo there and it was thrown away bc the mangaka would rather write a harem for his mid #male protagonist which for some reason had to include incest???? between a 30-something man and his previously 16 year old patient #'wah wah now they're the same age' NOT MENTALLY. WE ESTABLISHED THAT IN THE FIRST EPISODE. Yeah, I've seen the 1 min 30 Izzy teaser. I've seen it many times. I'm choosing to not go crazy on here because the second I do, I will abandon my WIP, and spend all day going in mental loops.

I'm just stuck on feelings of- 'damn we were right' (happy) and 'oh, damn, we were right' (devastated).

I trusted Con to take a look at this and give it the full attention it deserves. I'm VERY happy rn #I love Ed/Izzy(a lot) but it's not healthy and I'm happier that the show is giving Izzy a serious arc to deal with it vs the alternative #which is part of the fun most Ed/Izzy shippers (especially artists/writers) get! they know #that this relationship on the show IS complex and there's shit on both ends these characters need to work through #Liking Ed/Izzy doesn't mean you endorse the behaviors of either characters. This season will likely show us even more of their past #and show even more shit between the two of them. It's likely Izzy won't come out 1 clean either. anthem was the most fun ive ever had with a bioware game, tbh, and it still makes me sad that they absolutely let it down the way they did.

the hx and sqx and swd situation is SUCH a mess and there's no clear Bad Guy or Good Guy of the lot imo it's just that that sqx alone was entirely ignorant and innocent and never wanted to hurt anyone but was rather caught up in a terrible situation she didn't have a lot of control over

that being said I'm a huge he xuan apologist and I think beheading swd was totally fair

#sorry that he tormented sqx :( but he didn't kill him!#the sqx storyline is so insane I'm never going to be over it #if it wasn't for the transphobia and the assumption that after losing all her powers she's a cis man now #bc it lies on the idea that the only thing that made sqx a woman was being able to physically changer her appearance #let mortal sqx be genderfluid too damn #anyway the fact that he's now a disabled human but it's still him and he's still happy #and she has a community and her life isn't over and she helped SAVE the world along with her fellows #ough the ending of tgcf gets me every time #it may be over the top and melodramatic and have way too many big fights scenes and go on forever #but god damn. it's all really good stuff!#the romance is great. the fighting is great. the character arcs are fulfilling and the relationships are satisfying #charactes from before return in exciting and appropriate ways #everything comes together SO well and it's such a fantastic finale and epilogue #far superior to mdzs imo but the tone of mdzs was also more of a downer anywya #also I think the quality of the overall plot and characters was better in mdzs #tgcf txp
