Silver Assigns Theme Songs Part 3: Teen Titans 2003

So, I am aware it has been a hot minute since I sat down and wrote one of these posts out. I don't actually care. This time I'll be doing the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon, because this show was my childhood, alright?

Robin: He gets "Firestarter" by Manafest. It has the correct vibes, sounds like something he'd listen to, and really fits with his general attitude.

Starfire: "Better Place" by Rachel Platten. She's a really sweet, dreamy character, which fits the vibe, but also, her physical presence on earth caused the formation of the team that would save many, many lives and defeat Trigon, Brother Blood, and the Brotherhood of Evil, making it also very literal.

Raven: Look, I really wanted to pick a nicer song for her, but I have never in my life heard a more Raven song than "Freak" by Molly Sanden. I'm well aware that this is depressing, but this is also basically the inside of her head for the first four seasons. I'll cut her a break and say that "Bird Set Free" will be her new theme in season 5.

Cyborg: "Tattoos" by Citizen Soldier. He goes through a lot of issues with his body, let's all be honest, but generally I think that he's someone who's comfortable with who he is now, because or in spite of that.

Beast Boy: "Sharp Edges" by Linkin Park. I had the hardest time finding the right song for BB, but I think this one fits him pretty well.

*Bonus!* Whole Team: The whole team theme song I decided would be "Phoenix" by Molly Sanden. This song was under serious consideration for every single member of the team, and I really think that it fits the team character arc very well, from the people all running from something we see in "Go!" to the leaders and heroes we see in "Titans Together" and all the hardship they went through before and between.

So I know a LOT of songs - my taste in music is very vast. And despite the fact I haven't played BG3 and have only heard spoilers, and also I didn't like every other one, I decided to make an Astarion Playlist!!!

I'll probably be adding and removing things as I go. Feel free to suggest songs! I probably won't be adding Astarion x Tav songs because it's a playlist mostly centered around his backstory and personality.

Paranoia and Stabbim (just a skutter acting out orders to kill when it descovers that maybe he's the only one who can get through to the hallucination without making him paranoid, will it reveal it's previous orders and expose it's decietfull job (stabber) and maybe break Paranoia's fragile trust in the process? or do the orders exceed the man (the skutter) and does the ultimate tragic of killing a loved one befall in the hands (claws) of Stabbim when he can't resist orders anymore)

Talkie the Toaster and support force (unrequited love, Talkie ne'er has time to ponder the importance of support force in his life, he knows it excists, but toast will always win out. and support force knows that. it's happy to just hold Talkie up and take any breadcrums it gets as long as it can)

Cat deepthroathing those polymorph eggs (it could've worked out if she hadn't died immediately and he wouldn've killed all her children, but life happens i get it)

the overly polite swordsmen and Rimmer's courage and self confidence (they're making out sloppy style, they spotter eachothers hats and swords from across the room and it has been escalating at an alarming speed)

Carter Burke and Rimmer (they die a horrible death together, the thought of the other there doesn't comfort them because they know both want to leave the other as a sacrifice and run, so they try to make themselves un-abandonable. doesn't work. they suffer horribly with all hope lost)

The Sister Brothers and the Rimmer Monster (it's lesbian/ gay solidarity as they bitch about the world. my favourite)
