There weren't many things that Ysayle could call her own even in the modern day, having lost much of it in the Calamity and in her own recent folly. Loaned this and that as she tries to get back on her feet - quite literally, this time - the only thing she could really call hers was her first staff…wherever that went. It had a bloodied history that hurt to recall it - both in its nature and the lengths it took to get it - but now she's stuck with naught. She must find a way to build herself back up, and to that she must accept this aid that she feels she does not deserve in whatever form it comes in: be it rough handling so she might walk again, or clothing with far too much care put into it for someone such as her.

And all the while, Melisande remains colder than Ysayle's own persona - a bitter bastard to the very end.

Fix it fic/Ysayle Lives AU that's part of my Snow and Dirty Rain au. Timeline goes over the end of 3.0 to 4.0, and is predominantly in Ysayle's POV (chapter 1 is Melisande's POV, chapter 2 is how things will go). And here's a sketch of Melisande, because I wanted to figure out her adventuring outfit!

It's definitely taking from Cassandra in a couple respects, of course. But Melisande's style is also very different from Cassandra's, mainly because I don't think she would ever willingly wear pants. The result? An adventuring dress!

She has boots, of course, plus a pouch and a small dagger (just in case). The pouch probably has some of her herbs and such, like a first aid kit. She also has a cloak, which for reasons unspecified is definitely dark blue. Blue is kinda just her color.

(Might do her hair differently? I don't know. We'll see.)

Just want y’all to know that the two names mentioned in Lestat’s song Come to Me, Palleas and Melisande, was an opera written in 1902, which Lestat would definitely have seen or even played a part while in France. The line “your Pelleas, my Melisande” is a reference to the doomed love affair between the two characters from the opera. The opera itself is based on the Arthurian legend of the tragic romance.

first on the second row is Fiodoril (they/he), a diviner. they have shoulder-length black hair, green eyes, and round glasses. they're wearing a white button-down beneath a blue robe. beneath the collar of his shirt, where a necktie should go, he is instead wearing a light blue crystal on a necklace. they're smiling sweetly.

next is Capranicus (he/him), a transmuter. he has brown eyes and short, curly, honey-colored hair that's shaved on one side. he wears a white jacket with a flared collar, a teal shirt, a teal choker, and a tiny orange crystal stud earring. he looks slightly amused.

I have been thinking about these npcs for like five years. none of them matter at all. the only important one is sendri and my players murdered him in session three. there's gonna be a big family reunion soon so we'll see how well they can hide the fact that someone else's soul is walking around in sendri's body
