Post-Ramadan Self-Development

Next, act on your intentions. Anchor your goals to your spirituality—why do you want this? Who is it for? And never underestimate the power of dua. Ask Allah to help you stay consistent.

Build momentum slowly. Choose up to three new rituals, start small, and celebrate every win. Joy strengthens consistency. Gratitude fuels discipline.

Post-Ramadan isn't a decline—it's the launchpad. Use it to create your next best version, one habit, one prayer, and one step at a time.

SKILL UP - Colour Pencil and Alcohol Marker Technique studies

I have been super bad at posting anything about this here! I made a kind of decision to learn how to use a bunch of materials I've had sitting around for years, so I can try and actually use them properly.

So; enter study time.

(yes I bought new books, I haven't bought reference books for a while, there's something about being able to flip through the pages.)

I sat down after Christmas and came up with a kind of plan for each set of books:

Disclaimer: This was taken in February - I'm stoked I finally finished the chonky introduction to copic markers.

It's been really interesting, even if I've been dragging my feet about it. Some stuff I already knew, some stuff is brand spanking new. Like looking into hard vs soft pencil leads, where and when to use them. Or the COPIC colour system! (Which does me absolutely no good with the mish-mash of a marker hoard I have, but we're pushing through. One way or another I'll work out how to use these things.)

anyway yes so I've just finished notes on the basics. Now to try and retain everything I've picked up along the way ....

Something came to my mind and I have to share it somewhere. What if Mike is explaining to El what being gay is in this video ? Like he had to explain to her what a friend, a crush, and love were. It's definitely not what they seem to talk about, but it suddenly came to me that it was possible. Like, I don't believe that she learned that it was possible. (and pretty sure she doesn't know that will is gay)

Decision-Making and Uncertainty

TL;DR:

Decisions are hard because we can’t see the future or know what we’re missing. Equip yourself emotionally & spiritually—because strength isn’t in certainty, it’s in resilience.

Decision-making can feel paralyzing. Why? Because we’re navigating a world of uncertainty—never quite sure if today’s choice leads to tomorrow’s joy or regret. Whether it's a job offer or a life partner, every choice carries hidden outcomes we can't fully predict.

The fear isn’t just about what might happen—but also about what we might miss. Saying “yes” to one thing often means saying “no” to countless unknown opportunities. That lingering what if can be emotionally taxing.
