As long as you don't get hurt, everythings good. However, if that happens, he will be angry, not necessarily with you but with whoever is responsible.

However, you can calm him down again with just a few words.

Would remember almost every detail and then surprise you with it. He just loves to see your happy and surprised face.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time you went for a walk on the beach with him. You two ended up lying in the sand laughing and kissing passionately. It was shortly after he asked you if he could court you. Later you had sand just everywhere, in your hair, in your clothes, and then, to get rid of the sand, you went swimming together for the first time. This moment marked a big step in your relationship, which is why Eärendil cherishes it so much.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Eärendil knows that you are very good at protecting yourself, but still likes to let others know that they will have to deal with him if they were to hurt you.

T = Try (How much efford would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He loves to give you presents. They are usually 'simple' and are things brought from his trip or flowers whose blossoms he found so beautiful that he simply has to weave them into your hair.

He doesn't like dates that are too extravagant, but rather something spontaneous. Because in his opinion, spontaneity can create the best moments.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habit of them?)

Never wakes you up after he has nightmares, but tries to calm himself down (which doesn't work so well). The next morning he is always tired and gets scared at every noise.

It took him a while to finally tell you that he sometimes still dreamt about the fall of Gondolin, but when he did, you made him promise to wake you up next time and talk to you about it.

Eärendil does his best, but sometimes he just can't bring himself to interrupt your peaceful and cute sleep with his problems.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He's not really interested in his looks (but he's still very beautiful. I mean, he's Idril's son, with genes like that he can only be pretty). Often forgets to comb his hair for several days and usually has some dirt on his face. His clothes are also rather practical and he wears jewellery less often than others. But you love your Eärendil the way he is, and you couldn't imagine him dressed up like that, because it just wouldn't really suit him.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes, he would. Eärendil is someone who loves with all his heart, and would be totally distraught if you were to be torn from his side.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them?)

You gave Eärendil a selfmade hair clip at one of your first meetings. And even though he doesn't wear it often for fear of it breaking or getting lost, he always carries it with him so that he has a piece of you with him wherever he goes.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

If you would try to force him to wear 'nicer' clothes or show him in some way that you want to change him. Eärendil is a free spirit and therefore does not like to be restricted. It's different if you ask him to, but don't do it without talking to him and finding out how he feels about it first.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Eärendil sleeps much more peacefully when he can feel you or your warmth than he does without.

Last episode of peak shoujo 😩 of course we get a great date episode. Itsuomi and Yuki date at the flower garden was so beautiful and I like the message about different flowers waiting their season to bloom. Really connects to the characters in this series.

Everyone’s kind of going thru their season right now and coming into their own as people. Whether it’s Yuki and Itsuomi or Emma and Shin, Rin and Kyouya or even Oushi finally going for that book in the end. Everyone’s taking steps forward.

“It just hit me what people mean when they say something took their breath away” 😭 man that moment Yuki realised how lucky she is to have Itsuomi was so sweet. I love how they use those pastel colours whenever something changes in a character’s world. Yuki’s already grown a lot since episode 1, I can’t wait to see where she goes from here.

My man Itsu not afraid of PDA at all, almost got a really cute kiss there, but the cuddle works just as fine lol.

Loved that little flashback to him as a kid in Germany too. As a guy who speaks multiple languages and has a linguistics degree, I just really enjoyed the focus on his use of language for communication with all these different groups of people. The use of football to help him break the ice with the German kid was so real too. It’s funny how when you have a shared passion with someone you can begin to learn much faster

So happy we got to see all the other ships sail too! Emma finally realised that Shin been there the whole time for her and it’s so cute how shy and reserved she is around someone who actually likes her vs how assertive and boisterous she was with Itsuomi lol. Handholding on the first date too?? Lets go! The ring Kyouya got Rin looks so nice too. Just really happy for everyone.

Oushi ain’t got anyone yet, but at least he’s taking steps forward and being more honest with himself. That’s the first thing he has to do before he can really be happy.

“Because I love everything about you” 😭 that long text Itsu sent Yuki was so damn sweet. Perfect way to wrap up the episode and season. Wasn’t perfect narratively, but it was still great. One of the best recent shoujo romances for sure. Thank you studio Ajia-Do for this!

I’m not gonna lie, I just don’t see what people are hating about Artrem’s characterization in the second anniversary. I thought it was pretty true to form.

My only real beef is that it felt shorter and off theme compared to the other 3 cards which is a huge shame and feels gross considering it’s such a momentous canon card.

BUT

Artem in the 2nd anniversary doesn’t feel super out of character.

He’s putting off engagement because he feels paralyzed by the act of telling Rosa what he feels/wants because he doesn’t know how to convey his feelings or propose in a way that matches his own expectations.

He’s being distant and aloof as a result, and Rosa is doing what she does best and hyper analyzing his behavior with wrong conclusions (that reflect more on outward situations than internal, since Artem still isn’t great at being open up about that stuff unlike Vyn who knows how to communicate well but withholds as a concerted choice, for example).

All of his background cards see him bobbing and weaving not just how Neil and his parents have affected him in front of Rosa, but also when Rosa or anyone else hurts his feelings/comes to a wrong conclusion about him/his intentions, with fleeting exceptions.

Master of deflecting further questions or the topic at hand with (mostly work) segues.

He’s still being cheered on and brought to reality by his work big sis Celestine, who is so invested in Artem and Rosa that she views it as a cherry on top to see them engaged after her wedding. Which is so lovely. And very in character for her—she loves to see the fruits of her labor happen front and center and now she can hold this memory close not just in regards to her wedding but in regards to Artem and Rosa, who she cherishes. Especially Artem! (Also the fact that Mr. Rodriguez is so on board….busy body power couple)

This in particular is where I feel people are just beefing to beef. Celestine has ALWAYS meddled. And this feels very in character for her to guide Artem where he needs to go in a way she likes. She does it in almost every card she’s in!

And he is still struggling with his abandonment issues from Neil being gone and his parents not being around as much. He feels SO hard for Rosa and in a moment of high emotion and still a bit tipsy off alcohol he makes possessive comments which is also not out of character.

To me, it’s Artem feeling comfortable and going to the next step physically (and emotionally) by REALLY admitting that he’s insecure and his fears are manifesting as possessiveness ie YEARNING for Rosa and for more with her. He feels secure with Rosa. And he fears losing her just like he’s lost others. And he wants it to feel real. He doesn’t want to lose her to a case (Neil) or a career (his mother and father) or anything else!

He wants to feel like it isn’t a dream. He wants it to be solid, fully grounded in reality, in a way a lot of his personal relationships never get to be. No one could know about NXX and the full extent of his relationship with Neil (or the other members). He actively hid who his mother is and by extension who he is to her. Despite his relationships with Celestine and Rosa, he feels leagues away from his co-workers at large.

He wants people to KNOW that he has a truly personal relationship. He doesn’t want to for others or himself to see a large distance between himself and Rosa—like they’re strangers attached by business (like others in his life have been). Rosa is his partner, in all senses of the word.

Not just that, but it’s been a full year since Artem and Rosa started dating. In what world is it out of character for them to be familiar with intimacy. I kept seeing a lot of people saying Artem was too sexual and all he did was hold her and kiss her which he’s done……a lot, probably. They’ve been dating a year by now! The ending implies what we see is something they’ve done before but Artem would like to go farther. And Rosa is all for that but has never heard him say that before now! Because the repressed guy has been giving her repression.

Is the expectation truly that Artem’s first time making out and feeling up Rosa is this card? For real?

I have no idea what future cards will bring and I’m not interested in knowing until I can pull them in Global, but personally it feels like frustration toward future events is bleeding onto this card. Because what was presented does not feel disconnected from Artem’s side story, cards, or characterization as a whole.

There was just less time allowed to expand on what was presented which I agree is not ideal or even acceptable, especially for the 2nd anniversary. It should have been on par with the 1st in that regard, full stop.

But acting like this card pulled away from his established characterization in other cards in a huge way feels disingenuous. It did not! It was just rushed which I HATE SO MUCH. Like Rosa and Artem felt like they had the least time actually interacting within these 2nd anni cards!

And among these 2nd anni cards a big theme was family. Artem’s parents are certainly not dead so their exclusion from this proposal warranted at least some form of explanation. ESPECIALLY since his mother is someone Rosa knows and thinks fondly of and it certainly would have been interesting to see Celestine and Artem’s mother interact together.

His card lacked time to explore what he was feeling and cohesion to the 2nd anni theme, for sure. Which is really sad considering he is one of my favorite NXX guys. Like there are criticisms for sure but mine are more toward the structure of the card

... may I be a pain in your butt and ask for... A Reader who is Asexual with the ROTTMNT guys? Platonic or romantic. If platonic, the guys bug Y/N about not finding a S/O but Y/N can't feel anything for anyone like that and is discouraged, but hides it.

If romantic, they've established they love each other and they're partners, but Y/N just has difficulties wanting(or wanting but not wanting) intimacies. Cuddling is great, spooning is fine, but really intimate stuff is difficult, like certain kinds of kisses. Sex is something that Y/N doesn't care for. And Y/N may not have told the boys about being Asexual.

sefore we get into it, a clarification about what being asexual means, and what it doens’t mean: asexuality is about attraction, not the action. ssexual folks feel little to no sexual attraction to any gender. asexuality has nothing to do with libido. there are asexuals who are repulsed by sex, others don’t care, and others enjoy it. and lastly, sexual attraction and romantic attraction are two separate things. so there are still aces who seek out and wish to be in a romantic relationship.

so being asexual isn’t about the “would you or would you not do it” in general, it’s the lack of a “I’d hit that👀” when looking at someone.

🔵 Leo

In a romantic relationship, I feel like out of the four Leo would be the one to get handsy the quickest.

He isn’t shy about PDA, but won’t cross any lines you set of course.

Big fan of being a gentleman and showing you off all he can, like opening doors for you and bowing dramatically, letting you pass.

Will always try to be touching you in some way, holding your hand, leaning on you, or with an arm over your shoulders.

If you’re not a fan of PDA, he’ll have to hold himself back a lot in public, but he’ll try his best to keep it behind closed doors.

Once you’re alone though, be prepared to be smothered in physical affection.

He just can’t help it!

There’ll be times when he gets carried away, and sweet kisses start crossing into make-out territory.

The first couple of times you’ll have to push him off you if you don’t wanna go there.

He understands though, and is super patient.

From then on he asks for your permission every time he kisses you.

If by then you still haven’t come out as ace to Leo, I think he’d still have picked up that something is going on.

Especially because you look kinda guilty when telling him to get off you.

He doesn’t want to pry, and will wait until you’re ready to tell him whatever is on your mind.

If he starts overthinking, he might start to think you’re grossed out by him or something, and his insecurities will get the best of him.

Leo and you were on his bed, legs tangled and your head on his chest, watching some videos on his phone.

It was getting late, so you decided to call it a night. Putting away his stuff, Leo went to kiss you good night.

You thought it would be a quick peck, but he lingered. Suddenly wanting to deepen the kiss, Leo’s hand wandered down your arm to your waist, crawling underneath your shirt ever so slightly.

When his hand came in touch with your skin, you jumped, and backed away.

“I-I’m sorry, Y/n”, he apologised. “I didn’t mean to- We don’t have to…”

“No, it’s okay” you said, your fist clenching the bed sheets. Seeing his dejected face, tears started rolling down your cheeks. You had been trying to talk to him about you being ace, but never found the moment. And now here you were, leading him on, hurting him. “It’s me that should be apologising…”

“Whoa, why are you crying?” Leo said with a sad smile, wiping away your tears with his thumb. “I’ll wait, no need to rush.”

“That’s the thing though, Leo” you hiccuped. “There’s nothing to wait for.”

He looked at you with a quizzical expression, and you started to explain. You told him you were asexual, that you weren’t interested in anyone sexually, not him nor anyone. And not because you considered him to be unattractive; on the contrary, you thought he was the most beautiful creature on this planet, in and out. You reassured him that you really loved him, but if it was sex he was after, then you might as well go separate ways, because to you, that was non-negotiable. You ended by telling him that if he wanted to break up, you’d understand.

All the while he looked at you and listened intently. When you were finished, sniffling into your sleeve, he just took a deep breath and leaned back. After a while of thinking how to word his thoughts the best, he turned back to you and took both your hands in his.

“You know, I wish you had told me sooner” he started. “And I am so sorry if you ever felt like that was something you couldn't tell me because you were scared I’d leave you, or that I would think less of you.”

Leo tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, giving you the softest look and smile.

“Let’s sit down tomorrow and set out clear boundaries on what we’re comfortable with. I’m sure we’ll figure it out.” He hugged you to his chest. “And hey, thank you for telling me. I just want you to be happy.” And with a sweet kiss to your head, you both fell asleep in each other’s arms.

🔴 Raph

Raph strikes me as a “I don’t really understand it but you do you! (thumbs up)” kinda guy about a lot of things.

He was your best friend, he supported everything you did, and always had your back.

He wanted you to be happy after all!

And that meant of course finding a partner that would treat you and care for you the way you deserved.

Whenever there was a group of people your age around, he would elbow you and you two had entire conversations solely in eye contact about that one cute person over there.

And it’s not that you didn’t want to get into a relationship; you actually did.

Having a partner sounded great in theory: you’d always have someone by your side to give you emotional support and physical affection when you needed it.

And you could also give back to them and feel appreciated.

Except for that one thing a partner would want from you, that you were not able to give.

Raph and you were sitting in his room, playing UNO and chatting away as usual. Except that the one topic came up which you dreaded the most.

“So…” Raph said, and you already hated where this was going. “Did you get a S/O yet? When are you bringing them over?”

“You’re not my dad, you know that, right?” you joked, trying to deflect his comment, setting down a card.

“I know, I know. It’s just that I know you’ve had some crushes in the past-“

You gave him a look, tilting your head and lifting one eyebrow.

“Yes, I see you looking at others you know, you’re not as subtle as you think” he smiled. “Thing is, you’ve never pursued them. Why?” Raph played his card: a +2. You grumbled.

Taking your cards from the pile, you shrugged. “Guess I wasn’t crushing hard enough.”

Raph set down the cards from his hands face down on the table, putting all his focus on you and the conversation at hand. You shifted in your seat.

“You know that you’re great, right? You have every chance and right to ask someone out that you like. They’d be idiots to reject you.”

“Yeah, I know I know, I’m awesome” you commented sarcastically. Truth is, you knew you were pretty decent. Heck, you were great. And you didn’t look half bad either. But having a partner would mean they’d have expectations and needs that, being ace, you couldn't meet.

You really appreciated Raph trying to be your hypeman, but right now you didn’t feel like you could come out to him. You didn’t feel ready yet. And while you knew he was trying to cheer you up, you couldn’t help but feel that his words irked you the wrong way.

As Raph realised that whatever was on your mind wasn’t something you wanted to talk about right now, judging by your frown, he picked up the cards again.

“Don’t worry, Y/n, someday you’ll find someone, I’m sure of it” Raph offered with a lop-sided smile. You knew he meant well, but somehow that wasn’t much of a comfort. After a short pause he placed down a +4 card.

You frowned at him, not entirely sure if it was the card or the way the conversatin played out.

🟠 Mikey

Mikey spends a lot of time on the internet, so he actually came across the terms asexual and aromantic once or twice.

He knows a lot about different labels actually, even micro-labels.

He’s also quite sharp with people, so if he’s known you for a long time, he may have figured it out even before you did.

Very supportive of any label you decide to adopt.

Will definitely draw you something with the flag’s colours discreetly incorporated if you’re not out yet, or make a full on painting with the palette of the flag’s colours if you’re out.

If he notices you’re hesitant about telling him something (even if at the moment he doesn’t know what it’s about), Dr. Delicate Touch will try to encourage you to confide in him, without forcing you of course.

It’s just very obvious you’re trying to tell him something important, but you back out at the last minute every time.

You were waiting at the lair for the brothers to come back. They had gone on a quick mission for a couple of hours. They should be back any minute.

All the while you had been pacing back and forth in Mikey’s room, going through your monologue several times on how to come out to him. You had heard him mention asexuality once when he showed you a garlic bread meme originally from the ace subreddit, so you knew he was familiar with the label. Hence you weren’t planning on giving him the full explanation, unless he asked of course.

You were fidgeting with a deck of poker cards in your hands when you heard the turtles enter the lair.

‘Now or never!’ you told yourself, taking a deep breath to calm your nerves. You were sure that Mikey would be supportive but even so, coming out to your best friend was still a big deal.

When Mikey entered his room and greeted you with a hug and a spin, you squeaked in surprise, and all of your carefully picked out words flew right out of your brain.

The turtle set you back on the floor, holding your shoulders, and saw how tense you looked.

“Hey Y/n, is everything okay?” he asked, concerned.

“Y-Yeah, I just- I’d like to tell you something, if now’s okay?” Mikey agreed and sat down on the bed, with you standing in front of him. He looked at you expectantly but his concern also grew with every second you let pass in silence.

Realising that your monologue from before was long forgotten, you had to improvise. Picking out some cards from the deck you had in your hands before, you held up 4 of them in your hand so that Mikey could see them: it was an ace of each symbol.

“What do these cards and I have in common?” you asked him. He gave you a slight shrug and an amused smile.

“We’re all aces” you said, and held your breath, waiting for his reaction. “I’m asexual” you added.

He sighed in relief, which confused you a bit, but then stood up to hug you again, this time much more carefully.

“Yeah, I was starting to think so” he chuckled. “Thank you for telling me.” He pulled back to look at you. “You’re valid, and I love you, Y/n. You’re my best friend.”

With a sniffle and a ‘thank you’, you let go of the cards and hugged him the tightest your shaky arms would allow you.

🟣 Donnie

Donnie doesn’t really get the whole idea of romantic relationships anyways.

What is the whole fuss about? If you like someone, you just go up to them and tell them. And if you don’t like them, then you should also go there and tell them.

Brutal honesty above all.

I feel like a QPR (queer platonic relationship) would be much more his speed.

It’s an exclusive relationship, but not by societal romantic standards.

Just like his inventions which he made from scratch, he could shape and define a QPR to be whatever he and his partner wanted.

Being the closest with Donnie out of the brothers, you two actually had a similar point of view on this.

To outsiders you may seem like a couple, simply because you’re glued at the hip.

And you frankly don’t care what people say.

You like what you two have. It’s a mutual implicit understanding that you two share a special bond.

Your only fear is that he could be expecting something more physical from you.

Like many weekends before, you were hanging out at Donnie’s lab, playing around with some of his tools, while he worked on who knew what.

Donnie enjoyed your company, and you were actually helpful most of the time, unlike his brothers. When he needed certain tools, he could just ask you to pass them to him. You both felt like some kind of evil scientist surgeon team, working on a very complex operation.

Just as you were passing him a screwdriver, it slipped out of your grasp, and you ended up presenting your empty hand to Donnie, who took it without looking since his eyes were fixed on the machine before him.

Noticing that his hand was holding onto something soft instead of the expected tool, he lifted up his eyes and met yours. You chuckled, giving him a sheepish “oops” and went to bend down to pick up the screwdriver, but his hand only grasped yours tighter.

Now being very confused, you looked at him, and saw his face shift from focused on work to thinking about something he was about to say. You internally panicked. This was it. Your fears would come true and you’d lose your best friend.

“Y/n, I’ve been thinking” he started slowly. You wanted to respond with a ‘Don’t think too hard, you’ll hurt yourself’, but his face was too serious for quips. You involuntarily held your breath, waiting for him to continue.

“Don’t you think we get along really well?” Donnie went on, not breaking eye contact. “I’ve been thinking about this for some time, and I’d like to ask you out. But like, not in a conventional dating manner, if that makes sense. I don’t think that’s either of our cup of tea. But I still want to be with you. Does that make sense?”

You blinked twice. It did make sense. And you wanted to say yes so bad, because you did like him a lot, in fact. But nothing came out of your mouth, so you just nodded with your head, smiling earnestly.

He looked content with your answer, and was just about ready to go back to his machine as if nothing happened, but there was one more thing you had to say.

“Donnie, I’m asexual” you said rather suddenly, holding onto his hand again which he had let go. He turned back to you.

“So?” He raised an eyebrow.

“You know what that means? I don’t… want to have sex… Not because it’s you, but like, in general. I don’t feel sexual attraction.” Your eyes roamed the room for a bit before coming back to him.

Donnie considered what you said for a moment, then smiled, bringing his goggles down his face.

“Eh, it’s a waste of time anyways. We have better things to do, so I’m fine with that if you are.”

You couldn't help a single happy tear rolling down your cheek. Maybe you two could actually make it work after all.

You squished his hand once and then went to fetch the screwdriver that had rolled over to who knows where.

Dabi's dance

I'm losing my mind. The episode was SO GOOD. Have some scattered thoughts and reactions (spoiler-heavy stuff under the cut):

I had full faith that Shimono would do a stellar job with his voice acting but his performance went above and beyond my expectations. He gave me literal chills. The range of emotions he managed to fit into Dabi's lines? *chef kiss* The way he kept jumping between maddened elation and sadness, between righteous despair and chilling fury?? Stunning. Spectacular.

I think my favourite part was when he said "Why didn't you notice I was your son?" and managed to inject that simple line with contempt, hurt and disappointment at the same time. Incredible

Second best part was when Dabi went from yelling "You don't know anything, so let me break it to you" with seething rage and frustration to the chilling way he uttered the line right after, "You can never get away from your past". HHHHHHHHHH I think I lost my mind there. It was SO GOOD. The shift from frenzied anger to that ice-cold voice, coupled with the punch of that line gives you whiplash in the best possible way, and perfectly encapsulates the range of Dabi's emotions there. He's spiralling, yes, but he's not spouting nonsense because he's "crazy". He's furious because Enji thought he could move on without him, move on from Touya.

The close-up to his despairing pose when he says "I wanted to make you happy," a hand clutching his head and gripping his hair like when he was a kid, and his voice going all soft and kinda self-deprecatory... CHILLS

On a completely different note, the special hair dye remover changing Dabi's hair color like a magical girl transformation made me laugh. On behalf of the moon, he will punish you and send you into a flaming hell

THE DANCING. Okay, this one was a surprise. I went into the ep with 0 expectations for the actual dancing bit, having no idea how they would animate it and fearing a shitty adaptation, but I really liked what they did. His moves are exactly as awkward and frenzied as I expected them to be when I read the manga, but I feel like the anime better conveys Dabi's mental state through the whole thing (as it's supposed to, being a fluid visual media that conveys movement better than any stills ever could). Overall, his "dance" gave me the feeling of a puppet that got its strings abruptly cut off and moved like a broken toy. It wasn't a victory dance and it wasn't supposed to. The anime made it clear it was just Dabi working through his adrenaline. The first moves, the clapping, the arms moving wildly around with no clear pattern, the broad sweeping gestures, the way he seemingly doesn't know what to do with his limbs... it was the perfect depiction of Dabi letting out the energy building up under his skin, the same energy that draws on his emotions. He was drunk on a cocktail of conflicting feelings and his "dance" was a great visual way of showing that

Baby Touya was so small and precious TT_TT I felt my heart breaking for him all over again, and all the little glimpses we got crushed my soul. The card in the ending was a special low blow

Infant Touya struggling to stand on his tiny toddler feet *bawls*

at this point of the story, because the original panel comes from much later, and it's supposed to depict Dabi from Enji's distorted POV, the way he pictures him in his memories. But I'm so happy about the whole ep that I'm gonna let this slide. Dabi should look a bit unhinged. It's his best flavor after all

Kaji (Shouto's VA) also did an incredible job. The sheer panic in Shouto's voice when Dabi was plummeting towards them gave me chills. My boy was SCARED and CONFUSED and barely keeping his shit together himself and my heart broke for him. Now I'm really looking forward to his performance (and Shimono's) in the next ep, knowing what's coming

i see it as being like, during a busy time for the boys, or at least for matty. maybe he's co-writing and producing for somebody at that point, so he's at the studio a fair bit while you're also at work. and you've been feeling a bit under the weather for a min, you've missed a period (although working for that shitshow of a label, that's happened like twice before due to stress so you don't worry about it), but it's only when you physically have to run to throw up a couple of times in one day at work that you're like "oh. ok. this... might be something" - when your colleagues convince you to go home after you fib and say you think you've got food poisoning or a horrendous pressure headache or something, you sneakily buy a couple of pregnancy tests in the boots near oxford circus before you head home. you text matty to tell him that you're not feeling great and you've left work early but you're ok, it's just in case he called dh looking for you, correctly figuring he won't see the text right away; it's not until you're home staring at the tests that he phones you to fret over you, promising he'll be home within an hour and a half max.

in reality, you're in the bathroom 45 minutes later trying not to fucking freak out about the fact that both the tests you did have double lines when the door opens (as much as you want a kid, it's still a Big Deal and Scary to think about) and matty shouts "babe? you alright?" - you're like "matty get in here right now" and then add an "i'm ok. but please come to the bathroom" when you hear him swear and start to scramble through the house. the tests are still lying on the side of the sink when he bursts into the bathroom, but matty doesn't even see them because he's immediately over at you holding your face in his hands and cuddling you like "are you sure you're alright, sweetheart?"; you bask in his affection for a second, nodding and smiling like "i'm actually really good - or, we're really good, i should say". and matty's like "hmm? my darling what are you on about", and you kiss his nose and point to the sink like "look". bless him, he's absolutely baffled when he first turns around, and then his eyes widen in recognition and jaw drops in shock when he registers what he's looking at - matty turns to you, welling up a bit, like "i'm not dreaming, am i?", and your heart just aches and you're like "no, this is real, angel". and he reaches to grab one of the tests to look closer, to which you're like "EW DON'T TOUCH THAT I PISSED ON IT" and he's like "IT'S FINE PISS IS STERILE I WANT TO LOOK CLOSER", and then you're like "IT'S ACTUALLY NOT STERILE SCIENCE HAS DISPROVEN THAT" and matty's like "WHY ON EARTH ARE WE ARGUING ABOUT PISS AT A TIME LIKE THIS. YOU'RE LITERALLY HAVING MY BABY" and then he immediately starts crying with realisation like "oh my GOD you're having my baby. i'm going to be a dad. we're going to be parents" lol. and you're also getting teary like "yeah, we are. three healys", and matty chucks the test down and just grabs you into the biggest hug of all time, picking you up and spinning you around as best he can in the bathroom, before grabbing your face and giving you a deep, deep kiss. and he's like "i love you so, so much. i'm so glad you're the person starting a family with me, and so grateful. thank you, my darling, this is the best gift i've ever been given. i love you i love you i love you i love you. i can't say it enough to accurately convey how much, to be honest. i can't wait to do this with you" - you're fully sobbing at this point like "i love you i'm so excited you're going to be the best dad" and then there's more kissing and you being like "i like that i can call you daddy now and it'll actually mean something", and matty laughs like "true, babe" and then he's like "WAIT oh my god. you're in your milf era. god we're going to be such hot parents". and you're like "you're an idiot i can't believe i'm having a baby with you lol. but i love you!", and matty's like "i love you too, sweetheart. and thank you again, this is the best day of my life - well, tied with the day you married me, i think". yeah, it's so cute <3

okay listen to me, just here me out! I have a heart condition called tachycardia, it's where my heart beats abnormally fast and it makes certain things harder (running, biking, ect.) and I can't take medicine for it. How would Iida react to a gender neutral y/n that has it and keeps trying to push themself too far? (If you want more info, like why medicine isn't an option for some people, just pm me and I'll answer any questions!)

You couldn't help that you were a little jealous of Iida. Not only was he fast, but it didn't even seem like he broke a sweat whenever you would train together. The man was a real life engine. But it only pushed you more. You wanted to be like him. You wanted to run like Iida.

You didn't tell him either. It's not like he needed to know. You would get out of breath, that’s all you would tell him. Plus, you didn't want to sound weak. You were going to be a hero, and you definitely couldn't be a hero like that.

What pissed you off the most though was the fact that your condition had to perfectly line up with your quirk. You had super speed. Of course you did. You had to run… for a living. And it wasn’t even interesting like Iida’s. You could just run faster than other people because your legs moved similarly to that of a cheetah’s. But even after two minutes of doing that, you could feel your heart pounding, like it was going to shoot out of your chest. And it’s not like you could do anything to fix it. Medicine just wouldn’t work.

But you wanted… no, needed to be a hero. You’ve wanted to be one ever since you were a child. You were willing to have that heart of yours burst out of your chest just to become a hero. This wasn't going to stop you.

“Good morning, y/n.” You smiled hearing Iida’s voice. You loved spending the night at his place. “Good morning, Tenya.” “Are you ready for some intense training today?” “Sure.” You giggled as Iida placed a small kiss on your forehead. “‘Sure’? What do you mean, ‘sure’?” He laughed, sitting next to you and pulling you in for a hug. “I'm tired today, Tenya, you can't blame me.” “Oh, so I just have to build up your energy then?” He kissed around your neck and ears, his giggling becoming contagious. “I-Iida! Iida, st-stawp!!” Iida pulled away with a smile and gave you a soft pat on the back. “I'm going to make breakfast, dear. Is there anything you want specifically?” “Not that I can think of.” “Alright then,” Iida placed another small kiss on your cheek and walked off to the kitchen.

Training with Iida. You loved it. It gave you a chance to see him all sweaty and more attractive than he already was, but god how you hated it. He already had everything under control… and you? You still felt like you were going to die. But you wouldn't show him. You couldn't. You didn't want Iida to think you were weak. He had to know that you were strong enough to protect yourself.

“Look who’s all ready to go.” Iida set down your plate looking down at your hero costume. “Well I know you’d be telling me to do it anyway.” “Well I don't even have my hero costume on. You can go ahead and start eating, I'll be right back.” “No, eat first. I don't want you to get hungry.” “It'll take a second.” You pulled his arm down to sit next to you. “You need to learn how to relax for a second, Tenya.” You placed a kiss on his cheek and he sat down, finishing breakfast with you.

Iida placed his hands on his knees, breathing heavy. He slipped off his helmet and sweat was dripping from his forehead. “I think you went faster than me this time, love.” You fell to the ground. You felt like you were going to die. You’ve been trying to beat Tenya for weeks and you finally did it. You felt like death itself, but you did it. You had to push yourself a little, well, a lot, actually, but you finally did it. “Y/N?” Iida walked up to you, hearing your heavy breathing. “Y/N, are you alright?” You nodded and curled over on your side. God, you were exhausted.

Iida quickly brought his ear to your chest, hearing the fast beating. “Your heart’s beating faster than mine. Are you alright, y/n?” “I-I'm fine.” You sat up and took a deep breath. You could taste that metal taste in your mouth. You definitely pushed it this time. “Are you sure? That’s not normal.” “Iida, I'm fine, really.” “It sounds like it's going to erupt. Do we have to take you to a hospital?!” You patted Iida on the head with a giggle, laying back on the ground. “Tenya, love, it's called tachycardia.” “What?” “My heart beats fast all the time. I'm okay. It's nothing to be worried about.” “Is it… safe?” Iida tilted his head and scooted closer to you. “Yeah.” “Okay… And this isn't anything to fuss about?” “No,” you giggled and looked at the sky. “I just… didn't want to tell you in case you thought of me as weak…” “What?! No! I would never find you to be weak! Not ever! If anything, this makes you stronger. But I do not want to push yourself just to prove to me that you’re strong. You need to rest and you need to tell me when you’re tired.” You smiled and placed a kiss on his cheek. “I will.” “Promise? I know how stubborn you can be. You're strong, but I already know that.” You threw your arms around his sweaty shoulders and placed kisses all over his face. “Now let's get you home, y/n. Let you relax for a while.” “You don't need to baby me.” “Yes I do.” He picked you up and carried you to the car. Maybe training with him from now on wasn't going to be so bad.
