I’ve really typed out a lot of FF on my phone since the suggested word after i type Captain is Neil.
I could see FF, now that he realizes Neil and Andrew are friends, having this be his own suggested word years down the line when phones enter into that period.
Just FF calling Neil Captain Neil years and years after he graduates.
#nicky: you know Captain isn’t his legal first name right?#Aaron: to be fair its not like Neil was his legal first name when WE met him#Neil: bite me.#FF: if it bugs you i can stop. i just really look up to you Captain Neil.#Neil needs to be stopped from going and changing his name to#First name: Captain#Middle name: Neil-Abram#Last name: Josten#the fbi and Andrew won’t let him#fluent freshman au#aftg#aftg au#In the masterpost

love's light wings - neil perry x fem!reader
wc: 967
cw: smoking, you meet neil at a party and he recites shakespeare to you
The air was cold and fresh on your face as you leant against the first floor balcony, a welcome change from the overwhelming heat from the party inside. Donna by Ritchie Valens was playing inside, muffled behind the closed door. You hummed along to yourself, unafraid of being heard. It seemed like your whole school was crammed inside the house, or at least was during the peak of the party. Through the course of your smoke break you’d watched people start to dissipate, couples leaving giggly and hand in hand, unaware of you watching from above. You frowned, taking another drag from the cigarette. You were stuck at the party until your friend’s dumb boyfriend decided he was ready to drive you both home. Maybe you did want a boyfriend, if only for the perks.
Neil wasn’t typically one for a party. He hadn’t been to a real one at all until he’d been brought along by Knox, who’d gotten a plus one from Chris. He’d enjoyed it, mostly, but he’d never learnt how to handle his liquor which was why he was out in the snow alone, throwing up into a bush. Youth was on his side and he recovered quickly, still feeling some of the effects of too many drinks. Then he saw you. You, leaning up against the balcony like an angel, backlighting from the house creating a halo effect around your body. Neil wondered if you were even real. Smoking peacefully, Neil thought you were undoubtedly the most beautiful girl he’d seen in his entire life.
“But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun,
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou, her maid, art far more fair than she.” The lines tumble from his lips before he could even consider it might be a bad idea. If he was sober he would have been mortified, both at the utter reveal of his soul, and that he’d spoken to a pretty girl, just like that.
You’d never had Shakespeare recited to you before. You’d studied Romeo and Juliet in school, of course, but it only properly clicked when a boy was reciting it to you as if it had come from his own heart.
“And you’re Romeo in this scenario?” You called down to him, amused by his dazed expression. He nodded eagerly.
“See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand.
O, that I were a glove upon the hand,
That I might touch that cheek!” You giggle at that, glancing at your glove-covered hand.
“Do you have a name, Romeo?”
“Neil!” He yelled, waving adorably. You returned it with great amusement. “Neil Perry.”
“Why haven’t I seen you around before, Neil Perry?” There weren’t that many schools in the area, and you were sure you’d found all the cute boys already.
“I go to Welton,” He replied, “I only see the sun once a year.” You laughed loudly at that, tipping your head back joyfully. Neil watched in adoration.
“You should come by more often, Romeo. This is more interesting than anything the airheads in there can provide.” You nod your head back to the house where people you didn’t like where doing things you didn’t enjoy. You’d only come for your friend anyway, and what had that gotten you? Well, it had brought you to this, so maybe it wasn’t all bad.
You opened your mouth to say something else, introduce yourself maybe, when the balcony door flung open and your friend’s boyfriend was yelling something about needing you for a drinking game — not enough people to make even teams. You sighed, rolling your eyes with all the strength of your annoyance and glanced back down to Neil. He didn’t look angry, just genuinely upset to have to stop your conversation.
You hesitated in returning back inside, leaving Neil with a taste of his own medicine.
“So Romeo would — were he not Romeo called —
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.”
You hardly had time to witness Neil’s shocked, euphoric expression, but kept it in your mind as you participated in whatever dull, alcohol-infused game you’d been forced into.
It was over an hour later when you next saw Neil, surrounded by a small huddle of strange boys you assumed were also from Welton. He actually lit up when he caught sight of you, literally creating his own light source. You reddened under his gaze, unused to the attention.
Neil liked you even more up close. The soft yellow lamp cast your face in the most ethereal light and your red swing dress was endlessly flattering. Your smile sent arrows straight through his heart, making it hard to pretend he was listening to a word Charlie was saying.
“Juliet!” He approached you eagerly, ignoring the teasing from his friends. You didn’t think you were into being called by another girl’s name, but it was strangely okay when it was Neil doing it. You introduced yourself properly anyway, charmed by the way Neil tried out your name softly, smiling as he did.
“Don’t leave me waiting,” Was all you said as you pressed a slip of paper in his hand, the contents being your name and phone number. With a quick peck up to his cheek you left, following your friend out to her boyfriend’s car and the cold winter air.
The next morning the phone rang minutes after you’d woken.

Pregnant brat reader here with a sfw req this time with the same cod men from before bc that was scrumptious
The men are in the nursery, cradling their newborn to soothe them. Reader walks behind them, kissing their cheek (or wherever she can reach) and she whispers “I just fell in love with you all over again.”
Can you tell I have severe baby fever atm
Oh its ok I get baby fever too. If I wasn’t still too young and trying to get a degree first, oh boy. I also get it every time I look at Neil Ellice’s face (Soap’s va/reference).
Lowkey you’re making me fall more in love with these boys, hope this is all you hoped for my loving anon.
To all my readers and anons- Keep requesting this account is my hobby LMAO
Price
Price is already softly crying but now you’ve made this man want to sob. He puts the baby down since it’s late, poor thing basically just got cleared to go home.
He kneels by the crib, finger still in the baby’s grasp as it sleeps and Price is just done for. He’s doing everything possible not to wake this baby. He’s so grateful he got this chance, and he’s not going to waste it.
Now Price is going to need soothing because his heart can’t take this moment. His hand is over his mouth to help him choke down sobs. Just you and him and now the kid he always dreamed of? He’s going to be the best dad and there’s nothing that can stop him.
Soap
It’s crazy how forgetting to put on a condom once can change your whole life.
He immediately plants a kiss back on your head, telling you to go get rest. He’s going to spend the first months of this baby’s life sleeping in the room with it. The faintest cry or struggle has him up. He’s already got it all planned.
Never going to make this life feel like an accident, no this child is an accomplishment of good sex and a wonderful choice to keep it. Maybe it wasn’t an accident after all, maybe it was meant to be.
He mumbles all kinds of thanks to the universe. He’s already named Simon and the rest of the 141 the godfathers, he couldn’t stop making mafia jokes. But now he has no jokes or witty comments, just love for his wife and his baby.
Ghost
Simon is scared shitless.
He lost his last family, he can’t lose this one too. He’s already updated the house’s security. But maybe he should upgrade it more. There’s so much more he can do, he can feel his heart rate rising.
He mumbled endless promises of safety. You have to remind him the live in the moment, that those are all things that he can do tomorrow.
Thats when he starts to get emotional. You can see it in how he squints before he pulled off his baklava.
This is one of two days that’s proven Simon Riley still exists somewhere in Ghost. This proves that Simon Riley didn’t die. This proves what Price told you when you married him, that Ghost was a fortress built to protect Simon.
Gaz
He’s been crying since the baby was born. It’s not sobs but to him this child is the ultimate testimony of your love. Of your marriage even. He still doesn’t believe it. His world now revolves around this baby.
He still doesn’t believe its his child. Sure it looks like him but would an angel like you truly grace him with this? After all the terrible things he’s done and seen in the midst of battle?
He plants a kiss right back, running his thumb over the cheek of the baby. He knows he has to put it to bed but can't he hold his kid a little longer?
He may just stay here, just for one night. Just with his kid. He has so many stories to tell. He has to introduce the baby to his team and his family.
He knows he has to wait, but he cant help it.
Konig
He still doesn’t believe it. His anxiety tells him it’s a trap set by the enemy, that he couldn’t be loved, that a woman wouldn’t want to have his offspring.
But that all melts away when he turns to see you. He’s holding a baby he was surprised your body could push out, he knows this child is his without a doubt because of its sheer size and weight.
He places fluttering kisses all over your face.
He mentions keeping the baby in your shared room, just so he can keep an eye on it he swears. Oh he promises it won’t disturb you he swears.
It wasn’t even an option to tell him no, he was already carrying the baby in on arm with a secure hold and the crib in another. He hasn’t taken his eyes off your baby for even a second and getting him to sleep will be another struggle.
Krueger
Sebastian isn’t crying, you’re crying. What do you mean there’s tears coming down his face? No, that's sweat, it’s really warm.
He never needed you to tell him you loved him at the start, but when you started to he realized his heart wasn’t made of stone after all.
Now he’s holding this little creature thats half you and half him and he’s just breaking down.
This is a second chance at life for him and he swears he’s going to do better than he started off with.
In your eyes, this murderer looks like an angel with the light seeping softly through the windows against him as he holds your sweet baby.
For the first time in a long time, he prays. He prays to not mess up and for protection for his family. Its soft, under his breath and you would barely hear it, but he prays.
Keegan
When the baby was born the whole team of ghosts showed up. It was a moment of pride.
He turns to kiss your lips right back as he walks over to the rocking chair. Oh he could get the baby a little mask and armor. Could be a mini ghost.
The team fell straight in love but none could love this baby more than Keegan.
And how he looks at you? Its like you hung the stars… which you did help him do, there’s lots of stars hanging from the nursery ceiling, but you gave him a baby. He would trade the sun for his little family, unafraid of turning nocturnal if it meant keeping this moment.
He mumbled about this meaning worth all the fighting. Promises to always come home falling from his mouth so easily.
Edit: im dropping this incase you havent seen it tol

Just gonna get this out as fast and simply as I can before stepping away for my sanity. Fuck Neil Gaiman.
I am still going to fight for Dead Boy Detectives.
That vile man said himself that it’s not his show. He wrote a single scene with barely twenty lines of dialogue, some of which were lines of a poem he didn’t write.
Steve Yockey wrote that show. The story, the characters, the messages are all Steve and his team. Stripping him off of that project would be easy enough to do it in the blink of an eye. He’s barely there to begin with.
So I will continue to campaign for Dead Boy Detectives.
But I will also be boosting anything that I find that will help the victims. At the center of all of this, they are the most important piece. Use your voice, but do not drown theirs out!!
Tiny edit since some people have already lost their brain: I thought it was an understood fact that they would rip him from the project entirely. There are ways to do that, to stop giving him any percentage of profit of any kind. That is part of why I emphasized how little he has to do with the project. I imagine the less involved someone is, the “simpler” the contract is, if you will. There are ways to strip him from this project, and they are expected to do so if they change their decision on Dead Boy Detectives.
There is no version of this where we don’t fight to get him off of his platform. Honestly, it’s an even bigger middle finger to him to strip him completely and keep going with his other shows; they can show they don’t need him and pour salt all over his wounds.
But again, thought it was an understood fact that we will be fighting to get his name off the contracts, for all of his content, in any and every way possible.

New Balance
New Neighbours | Navigation
Note: This one has been sitting in my notes for a bit, and was inspired by a photo of Neil Ellice in a white sweater, and no mohawk. From there I got the idea of Soap surviving the bullet but there would still be consequences.
Amnesia, is what they told Johnny. They were able to provide him with proper living and even provided him with some work. He was encouraged to attend therapy but it wasn’t required. Some times he went if only to talk some stuff out. Johnny had a good life though. The neighbours were friendly, he had a contractor who hired him for consulting and odd jobs, decent income, and on occasion took in foster animals. Yet something always felt missing from his life. They didn’t tell him anything about his past. A clean slate, a fresh start. Then why did feel stale?
Johnny opened his eyes with a gasp and sat upright. Another dream about death. Honestly, he was considering returning to his therapist about it. He checked his clock and saw he’d woken up before his alarm again. Seriously 4AM? Again? He tried to go back to sleep but the image of a skull dressed in black kept burning into his mind. Johnny, fed up with his fruitless efforts sat up and pulled out the notepad he’d started keeping by his bed, writing down what he’d seen in his sleep. At least he could add it later on before it vanished from his head again. Johnny tried to go back to sleep grumbling to himself about his mind not letting him ignore what he’d witnessed. He maybe got an extra hour or two of just relaxing and resting before his alarm went off.
The amnesiac got out of bed, and did the usual morning routine. A small work out today, he didn’t feel up to a full one. Breakfast was simple enough, and he could pick something up on the way to his regular job. Shower, dressed, checking his pack to make sure he had everything, lunch made up. An hour to spare, with enough time to grab a bite to eat.
Johnny went to work and headed to the tire shop immediately. Fall was when everyone got their tires changed over and he could work quickly. Mix that with night stocker and he was able to cover decent enough ground. Plenty of friendlies around him, people teaching him how the warehouse worked, and people for him to teach. It also meant a lot of energy lost by the end of the night. Yet somehow sleep wanted to leave early almost every night.
He came in to find a kid cross training in the shop, still learning by getting the vehicles lifted and nuts and bolts off the tires. The noise the power socket made when it was grinding against the nuts was evident of their lacking experience. It was loud and almost sounded like gun fire. It went on for a while, of them tightening the bolts more than they maybe should. The sound was not new but it did give him a bit of anxiousness.
“Aye!” He shouted to the kid. They stopped and looked back at him. “The bolt is on, move on to the next one and get it torqued.”
“Yes sir.” You responded. The loud bang of tires breaking pulled Johnny back to where he was supposed to be. A few needed to be balanced, so he got to work on that, removing the weights, and getting new ones on.
You could curse up a storm, clearly frustrated with the screws and the weight of the tires. You were crouching so yeah that can be sore on the ankles with extra weight after a while. The concrete floors were pleasant on the knees either. Johnny noticed you looking around and fiddling with the socket, which was stuck to the nut of the wheel. Johnny finished up and called for you reading your name tag.
“I can’t get it out, I don’t know what I did wrong.” You said distressed. Johnny could deal with it.
“Get these on to the one in bay two. I’ll fix this.” Johnny said, offering a newly balanced tire. You got right on it, quickly. At least you had that down. Unfortunately you seemed to be making plenty of mistakes. Not your fault, some were out of your control. The bolts were sticky on some, others were hard to find the lift points. You kept apologizing, with some of the other employees as well.
Johnny had you as a night stocker in his department. Worked hard and quick but fell behind sometimes. Sometimes Johnny had to remind you to pick up the pace. You just needed a few pointers, and reminders to stay focused.
The day was tiring. Eventually it ended though. As Johnny gave his farewell to the older manager lady, he stepped out to let the cold air fill his lungs. He leaned against the wall, taking a moment to relax before the drive back home.
You were sitting at the picnic table just outside the exit door. You were shivering a little, and checking your phone. A little young for you to be out here alone. Late to be out here alone. Johnny had finished later giving him some over time, but you finished sooner than him. Chilly out too.
“Oi kid?” Johnny said. You looked up, arms folded, shivering and hunched over. “You getting picked up?”
“My uh… my uncle was supposed to pick me up, but… guess he forgot. Just waiting for someone to come.”
“Don’t ya live near me?” Johnny asked. You gave him your address, and yep, it was maybe a five minute drive from away from his place. “Want a ride?”
“You sure?”
Johnny jerked his head. “Not that far out of my way.”
You got off the table and followed the older man, the backpack slung over your shoulder. Johnny didn’t mind driving a little further down the road.
“Sorry for causing any trouble today.” You said.
“Stuff happens. Don’t worry too much.” Johnny assured her. You started chatting with him, learning more about him, and he learned more about you. Little artist who had your sketchbook out every day before starting your shift, played video games, and liked animals.
Once they reached your home, Johnny let you get out but waited as you went up to the door. The uncle was supposed to leave the spare key out or the door unlocked. Johnny already didn’t trust this. He watched as you fumbled around the door trying to get in. Johnny got out of his car and beckoned you back in. No way in hell he would let you stay on the porch.
He got you in his car and drove to his place.
You kept saying sorry. Johnny told you again, it was fine. Besides he didn’t mind the company, living alone. If anything he was concerned you might be the one uncomfortable. A blanket was found and a pillow, and you curled up on the couch. You fell asleep before Johnny could say good night. It was a lot of work, he doesn’t blame you.
The next morning though you were gone. A note was left saying you’d gone back home, and thanking him for letting you stay the night. Johnny shrugged it off, got breakfast made and some small work done before heading off to work himself. He expected you to be at work at least and you showed up early once again. Almost an hour early. He didn’t know if your perception of time was off but then he saw you in your sketchbook. The doodles were pretty cute, and he realized it was the kittens he was fostering. Once his stuff was ready he sat down next to you and asked about your work. Another apology for sleeping and dipping, and then he got his answers.
A couple of weeks passed by, and you had come around to Johnny’s place a few times to stay the night. Johnny didn’t mind putting you up, but he told you to get a spare key so you could get back in your house. A few times you did get picked up, and Johnny tried to talk to your uncle. Each time he missed out, or the Uncle told him he didn’t have time to talk. Johnny would let it go, shaking his head.
In the tire shop, the noise was high. When tightening the bolts, on the wheels, once tight the loud clicking from the socket unable to move can be loud, and grinding. Johnny found himself looking up every time it rang out. The night before, his sleep had been riddled with shouts and gunfire. The kid was doing it, to make sure the wheel was on properly, to reduce the work of torquing. A few others were as well, but it kept pulling Johnny’s attention, making him stare off. It was making his heart thump harder in his chest, and the air to thin around him. The manager had to snap him out of it a few times, offering to take over whatever he was working on.
You took notice of him a few times but assumed he just got distracted. It started to be a pattern though, and with the busy schedule and getting backed up, there wasn’t much time to stand around. You finished bagging the tire you were on, loading it in the back of a car. Johnny was right by the pile of junk tires, bracing himself against one of them. Without a word, you touched Johnny’s arm bringing him to reality again. Johnny tried to go back to work, but no. You were insistent on him stepping out of the shop to get some water.
“I haven’t been keeping you up have I?” You asked.
“No no… m’fine. Ah’m just…” Johnny didn’t know what to say, so he shrugged. You told him to wait outside in the quieter part of the shop, and went back in to get Johnny one of the mini chocolates someone bought for the tire shop team.
“Take a minute. Have some water. Have your chocolate. Come back in when you’re ready.” You said. Johnny nodded, appreciating the your concern for him. Yeah, he needed a break. If it was to get away from being overwhelmed then that was fine. You disappeared back into the shop while Johnny sighed, leaning against a stack of tires. Yeah that chocolate felt good along with the cold water washing it down.
The dream felt too real last night. It was a fast blur but a few things had stood out to him, having seen them before previous nights. The thing that should’ve haunted him was seeing death. He swore that’s what it was, the grim reaper. There were times he swore he saw it outside of his house too but passed it off as just nerves. It should haunt him… so why didn’t it?
“Aye. Try to stay awake.” Johnny said, nudging you in the passenger seat. You yawned and stretched in your seat as much as you could. Both of you were exhausted. Johnny had been getting plenty of commissions for consulting, along with regular work. You had been working overtime quite a bit lately. Thank god the weekend was tomorrow. Johnny had offered to let you stay the night, seeing you drag yourself through the last couple of work days. You could sleep in hopefully, instead of taking off before the sun could.
“M’tryin…” You said sleepily, rubbing your eyes.
“Ya did good today.” He said, hoping conversation would help keep you awake.
“Thanks for letting me stay tonight.” You said.
“I’m not driving all the way to your place tonight, and I cannae let you go walking by yourself.” Johnny exclaimed.
Once you got to Johnny’s place, he let the you in, and then turned around. The road wasn’t very well-lit but he scanned the trees and houses anyways. It was a more rural area, less people and houses, so someone standing and watching like Michael Myers catches peoples’ attention. Yet the only thing stirring was the trees from the wind. Johnny was alert, trying to discern shapes and rule them out as anomalies.
“Johnny?” You asked from behind. Johnny didn’t say anything, instead stepped inside, still watching before shutting the door. “You sure you’re okay?”
“Ah’m.” Johnny assured you, but he wasn’t so sure himself. You didn’t press. Only asked where the spare blanket was. Johnny wasn’t going to let you sleep on the couch tonight, and instead led you to the small guest room he had. You seemed to appreciate that, thanking him and offering a hug. Johnny gladly accepted the offer.
Once Johnny left you to wash up and tuck yourself in, he went to the kitchen. Then he started to draw the curtains, not wanting anyone to see inside his home. After that he went to the basement and inside a small closet in a makeshift office space. It was under lock and key, one that Johnny kept on him at all times. Unlocking it he took inventory of the small weapons stash he had, seeing if anything had been taken out without him noticing. Everything was accounted for. He shut the doors and locked it back up.
Johnny wasn’t a stranger to pattern recognition. After having a few dreams of death he knew it meant something. He wasn’t willing to talk to his therapist about it. But by now, he’d started to piece some things together about his past. In a side room next to the closet, was a chair. A chair sitting in the middle of the room, surrounded by thoughts, ideas, notes, scribbles and even news clippings that Johnny had collected over the past couple months or so. It was a lot, with not a single spot of the painted dry wall peeking through. Johnny couldn’t even remember the colour of the walls. He tried to add something each night, especially after having dreams of him being in high adrenaline situations, with gunfire and shouting and death. Yes, couldn’t forget about death.
Not tonight. Take a break tonight. Johnny was worn out and fixating would just make him feel even more tired the next day. He would be fine tomorrow, a long sleep, a good breakfast, and chilling with you. That he could live with.
Outside, he watched his old friend stare out from his front porch looking. Did Johnny know who he was looking for? Maybe. Unlikely. Just to be safe, he moved into cover, as you called Johnny into the house. He’d seen you leave from Johnny’s house more than once, and hurry home. After a while he was going to pack it in, assuming Johnny had gone to bed by now. Then Johnny did something he hadn’t expected. Johnny drew the curtains closed. There were no signs of Johnny after that, but the curtains were a sign themselves.
Johnny’s gut hadn’t changed. The drawn curtains were to keep prying eyes from looking in. What prying eyes could Johnny be avoiding? Or was it him that Johnny was concerned about?
He waited a couple hours before finally walking away, keeping himself inconspicuous as he headed to his vehicle. If Johnny was remembering it could be a good thing. The question was whether Johnny would be willing to come back after everything he’d made for himself.
After a few seconds of mulling it over Simon drove back to the safe house.

Co-Eds pt. 1//todd anderson

Information: this does not directly follow the movie, Dead Poets Society’s plot. It takes place the following school year after the film ends.
Warnings: mention of masturbation right off the bat lol oops
They did it. Apparently, they took Charlie’s suggestion to heart, after punishing him initially. Welton Academy decided it was time to allow girls to attend. The boys, especially the Poets, were ecstatic. “Now we won’t have to jerk off as much!” One of them had said, making Todd blush, but ultimately shake his head with a chuckle.
It was still warm when the first day back to school came, but the leaves were starting to change and were plucked from the trees with the promising fall breeze. Summer was officially over. Senior year was beginning.
Neil put his arm around his best friend and roommate, Todd, “Now we get to put our poetry skills to good use.” he nodded to the flock of females on the campus lawn, “Look at all of them!”
Todd, never really knowing what to say in these conversations, smiled softly, joining Neil in the girl gazing.
Being in an all-boys school could feel pretty isolating from the outside world, namely from the opposite sex. Todd had read all about women in fictional books and heard all about romance and passion in Mr. Keating’s class last year. He found all of it wondrously fascinating. But to put it into reality was unimaginable for someone like him. He hadn’t even gained the confidence to read aloud during Dead Poet meetings with his close friends, let alone even speak to a girl.
The rest of the guys caught up to Neil and Todd, each of them oohing and awing at the girls waiting to go inside. The exception was Knox, who only had eyes for his girlfriend, Chris.
“Good morning, ladies.” Neil greeted a group of them as they walked by.
Charlie chimed in as well, asking some of the girls if they were excited to start at Welton.
“I’d never have the courage to do something like that.” Todd thought to himself.
As the bell rang, he happened to look over and notice three girls looking at him specifically, one of them even waved. He smiled right at them for a second, waving politely before he looked away. As he headed in with the herd, he knew he was red in the face.
Todd found his assigned locker, and there was already a girl to the left of it putting things into hers. He made eye contact, and she smiled kindly at him.
He then opened his locker, placing his book bag inside, grabbing a notebook and other things he needed for his first class. He couldn’t stop thinking about how pretty she was. He could smell her too, her scent was of roses and light hints of vanilla.
“Hi, I’m y/n. Is this your first year at Welton too?” a feminine voice chirped next to him.
Todd looked at the girl, brows raised as if to ask, ‘Who, me?’ “Oh, uh-mm, no I was here last year.”
“Oh, that’s cool. I’m new…obviously.” she giggled.
Todd couldn’t help but smile at her. It had only been a little over a year since he’d been back at his old school that was a co-education, but a year at an all-boys school, especially one as elite and serious as Welton, felt like a lifetime.
“So, are you a senior?” she asked him.
“Yeah, I am.” Todd tried his best to keep his trembling at bay.
“Me too! So maybe we’ll have some classes together…”
The long pause and the questioning look on her face was all kind of silly to him before he finally realized that she wanted to know his name. What was it again? “Todd.” he cleared his throat awkwardly. “Todd Anderson.”
The girl smiled at him again, “Well, Todd, it’s nice meeting you.” she closed her locker, “Um, can I ask you...which is the history classroom? They showed us during orientation, but I can't remember."
His eyes widened, he couldn’t believe she was still talking to him. She was so lovely, like the type of girl that poetry was made for. “Oh, it’s-a just passed the lockers, second door on the left.”
She smiled appreciatively at him, “Great, thanks. I’ll see you around, Todd.” she sang, turning to catch up with another girl that had called her name. She turned her head slightly to look back at Todd and give him a friendly wave.
“See you.” he said, but she was already too far away to hear him.
Suddenly, he felt a slam of an arm across his shoulders. Charlie.
“There’s no way that Todd Anderson was talking to a girl.”
“He definitely was.” chimed in an enthusiastic Neil Perry, a proud smile splayed over his mouth.
“No, I wasn’t. Not really.” answered Todd, brushing off the interaction.
“No, no, we saw that little wave she gave you. She’d totally sleep with you, Anderson.” Charlie teased as the group walked to class together. The bell rang again, “Aw, second bell. Better get to class before we’re all marked late.” he said sarcastically. “We will talk about this later.” he rubbed the top of Todd’s dark blonde head teasingly.
Todd shrugged off his friend’s typical antics with a laugh.
…….
U.S. History class. Typically, this would be a snooze fest for the poets, but this year, of course, was different. Instead of dozing off or doodling during the lecture, the boys could try to gain the attention of the young ladies in the class.
Charlie Dalton had the best time, passing notes to girls and giving them nods. Neil caught the eyes of a few girls. Steven Meeks mostly just smiled at them awkwardly.
Todd kept to himself as he usually did. He’d hate to say something and end up sounding stupid. Nothing he said ever came out right.
“Now, you’ll have a research paper due at the end of the quarter. But I’ve decided to add a twist. Since it is our first year with females attending, I will let them pick their partners. And yes, you’ll be working on your paper in pairs.”
Murmurs and soft chatter filled the classroom.
“Yes, gentlemen there's a chance you will be paired up with one of the ladies but remember that there’s work to be done. Conduct yourselves with respect and discipline. We don't want to scare these young ladies out of the school when they've only just arrived, do we?"
Some mild laughter sprouted through the class.
"Now, I’ll just begin alphabetically. Go on and pick your partner when your name is called, ladies. Let’s see…” the teacher picked up his clipboard with the class list, “Ah, y/n y/l/n. You may make your choice.”
Todd perked up when he heard her name, he knew where she was sitting as he had spotted her at the beginning of the of class. His eyes found her in an instant.
Y/n took a second to scan the room, but she already knew who she wanted her partner to be. “Todd Anderson.”
He nearly swallowed his tongue.

Trying To Make It Make Sense~ B.H
Anonymous asked:
I'm so happy to see you back! I hope things are well :) I do have a request if you are taking then but if not that's totally ok!
My idea was if the reader was dating billy and is friends with Eddie and the whole gang? Maybe just some fluff of them hanging out as a group but billy makes it known he's with the reader through pda and being cuties with her
Note : I don't really see Billy being really an affectionate type around people.
You stared down at your lap and fidget with your fingers as you felt eyes on you.
It felt like the most uncomfortable silence as your friends stare in disbelief in what they were seeing. It wasn’t anything that bad, you thought.
To them, this was a first and a shocker to them all. You had a boyfriend.
His name was Billy Hargrove. The same Billy Hargrove that picked on Steve.
The same Billy Hargrove that called, his step sister Max, shit bird. The very same on that drove the loud Camara.
An arm wraps around your shoulder as someone pulls you into them, its familiar arm fills you with comfort. It’s Billy.
He chews the gum in his mouth as he stares down back at Eddie, Dustin, Steve, Max and the rest like they were challenging him.
“ Is this a joke? Have you done something to her, Hargrove because I swear-” Eddie gets off by you as your head shot up and you shake your head.
“ Eddie, stop” you stood up from your spot that you were sitting at to stop Eddie who looked like he was ready to throw hands if he needed to. He had his fist by his side as his jaw clenched tight.
“ I don’t understand why you were with him. I mean, come out. Out of every guy in Hawkins. You pick him” Steve throws his hands up as he shakes his head in disbelief.
He was more shocked that he wasn’t your first choice in this matter. The two of you were close and had moments where the two of you would flirt.
Steve didn't like this at all.
Billy smirked as he eyed Steve. Steve kept muttering to himself with his hands folded across his chest.
Max had a feeling the two of you would get together since you kept coming over to tell “ I’m just tutoring Billy. The teacher asked me to, and I was happy to do it.” You had to use that to be around Billy in his room to get past Neil.
He wasn’t too happy about having a girl in Billy’s room.
The door was to be opened and one day Neil walked by to see the two of you closer than he liked and the studying had to be done in the kitchen.
Susan had turned a liking to you and she would watch some softness come out in Billy when you were around. She didn’t dare to tell Neil.
Max saw it too.
“ Did you know anything about this?” Dustin asked, as he looked towards Max for answers. Max simply had a smile on her face as she shrugged.
“ You two really think they are together?” Steve suddenly asked, coming out of his pouty face and uncrossed his arms as he continued to stare down at Billy with a glare on his face.
“ These two must be playing some game.”
“ Games are for kids, Harrington. Seems like that more your turf” Billy says.
Inside Billy was kinda nervous being surrounded by your friends who were staring like they were about to run after him with pitchforks.
“ Who did you make a bet with, hm?” The question catches you off guard and everyone turns to stare at Eddie who for one second doesn’t believe you are going out with Billy Hargrove.
There was no way.
“ Did Carver put you up to this?” Eddie continued to ask. “ The two of you seem to chatter like little old ladies from the last time I saw you two.”
“ What is your business that I talk to my friends about, Munson?” Billy asked.
“ Friends” Steve, snorted.
Billy turns to Steve hearing him snicker.
“ You have something to say, Harrington?” Steve shot up from his seat as he put his hands on his hips as he stared down at Billy. “ Why her?” Steve asks.
Billy’s face changes at the question and Robin swore for a moment she saw it.
There was a wall breaking that he had put up a front like he always does. Her eyes widened a bit as she caught it. She looked around the room to see if anyone else caught it.
No one did as they continued to look at Billy. She felt proud of herself and mentally gave herself a pat on her head.
You glanced up at your boyfriend who still has his arms around you. He felt you staring at the side of his head and turned his head to glance down at you.
His blue eyes met your own and they were shining.
“ Is that a smile?” Dustin asked. Max swatted his arm. “ Ow! That hurt, no need to get abusive. Jeesus.”
She only did it because she saw Billy was having a moment as he looked down at you. She never saw him like this. Happy.
“ Because she makes me feel like I’m not alone, that finally I belong” what Billy really wanted to say was that he loves you but he wasn’t about to say it in front of your friends knowing they were going to use that against him.
You melted at his words knowing he meant that you made him feel safe. You made him feel wanted. That he mattered. To you. That was enough for him.
The girls “ awed” at his words and happily sighed seeing the way Billy looked at you and the way you looked at him.
Your hand came up to cup his cheek, immediately he leaned into your touch feeling it would be a while since you’ll touch him again.
Some of his hair falls into his eyes while he leans in and they sparkle.
“ Gross” and “ ew” and “ I’m going to throw up” are what interrupted the moment between the two of you. Billy forgot for a moment that other people were in the room with him and you.
Immediately a scold appeared on his face as he turned to your friends. Their eyes widened at his fast reaction and they all gulped.
“ If any of you use the words I said leave your mouth and I hear you babbling, I will not hesitate to do something about it. Is that clear?” Billy asked with his fist by his sides.
The gang didn’t get to answer him because your hand reached out to tug his jacket letting him know you wanted his attention. His eyes drop down where your hand is tugging his jacket and his fist unclenches.
“ Sit down, Billy. They won’t. I know them. Right, guys?” you turn to look at your friends. “ I’m really happy with him and I know you guys aren’t happy with me right now. But he cares about me, I care about him and that should be enough for you guys.”
Billy sits back down as his hand lands on your leg as it rests there with your hand falling on top of him. The sensation of warmth fills him and his heart races as he turns to look at you. The smile returns to his face.
For the first time everyone is shocked and finds it strange how you softened Billy Hargrove. He was smiling right now crying out loud.
“ Hargrove” Eddie calls out to Billy, catching his attention. “ I will not hesitate to break your bones or light your car on fire if you ever hurt her” he points his ring finger at Billy.
“ I don’t care if you're sorry or you're going to plead. You hurt her. I will hurt you.”
Eddie has always been the most protective of you, you were like a little sister to him.
You were always coming over to bring him food, making sure he was fed and looking after him when he’s sick. You would check on Wayne too, make sure he had new clothes to wear too. You were family to the Munson’s.
“ Eds” you called out to him. He turns his head to glance at you.
“ Thank you for looking out for me, but I can handle it.”
“ I’m never going to hurt her, '' Billy says. “ If I do, then shit bird can sell my car, '' he says with a grumble. His car means a lot to him and for him to say that means that he does really care about you. The gang is surprised once again.
“ Don’t sell it, we can burn it” Mike says. Billy goes up to look like he was going to pounce on Mike but you hold him back, shaking your head.
“ We’re serious Hargrove,” Steve says. “ You do anything to hurt her, in any way” he points to the gang, “ you better run. Because you are not coming back on your two legs”
“ She means a lot to us” Nancy says “ she’s our best friend.”
“ That we do anything for” Lucus says.
Billy chuckles, “ You don’t scare me peepsqueaks” he looks between Dustin, Lucas and Mike.
“ We’re serious Billy” Max says to him. “ Even if you're my step brother. You hurt her-”
“ We hurt you” El finishes. “ But we're happy for you,” she adds as he looks around the group. “ Right?” The group grumbles underneath their breath.
“ No, say it with me” El claps her hands as he points to you and Billy “ we are happy for them.”
All you heard were a bunch of groans and “ yeah, yeah” and “ we don’t trust him still” and Robin said, “ he’s more of a dingus than Harrington is.”
You loved your friends and wouldn’t change them for the world.
Sudden feeling of a peck on your cheek breaks your attention from looking at your friends but at your boyfriend who shrugs like he wasn’t the one who did it.
But he did. He wanted to show some sort of affection, but not too much because he isn’t like that around people.
You knew he only did that to show that you really were his and he was serious about you to your friends.
Even though he did place his hands on your leg and had his arm around you. He got up the courage to kiss you on the cheek.
You didn’t ask him to show this type of affection. He did it on his own and you can tell he was proud of himself as he glanced at his lap with his cheeks hinted red.
“ Okay, there will be none of that around” Dustin says as he points between the two of you.
“ There will be ground rules if he is going to be around us” Mike says.
Max rolls her eyes, but she nods a little knowing what was coming.
“ There will be no kissing,” Dustin says.
“ No touching like” Mike looks down at himself looking around where. Robin hits him upside the head which he whines about as he rubs the back of his head, glaring at her.
“ That wasn’t necessary,” he says.
“ Trust me, it was,” Steve says.
“ But ease down on the public affection. If the two of you want to touch and make out, there is a home were two of you live in and a car which you drive in” Eddie says.
“ Are you jealous, Munson?” Billy asked as he leaned a bit to inspect Eddie. Eddie scrunched up his nose and shook his head. He felt a shiver run down his spine.
“ Jealous of what? You two? No way, Y/N is like a sister to me and that would be gross”
In the middle of this, your hand interlaces with Billys and it doesn’t slide between your friends as the spot it.
“ awe, they are holding hands' ' El gushes and stares at Mike, hitting his shoulder. “ Why do you not hold my hand anymore?” Mike rubs his shoulder as he looks away from El and looks around asking for help.
The rest of the conversation between your friends, you block out because you happily stare at your boyfriend as he starts to talk with you friends.
You were hoping they would warm up to him. You squeezed Billy’s hand letting him know you're still there and not going to leave any time soon.
Billy had the warmest feeling inside, he began to laugh with his friends and teased Steve.
This felt like home.

Fathers DO YOU STILL HEAR ME SCREAMING???????
"I deserve to get better" I'M LOSING MY VOICE SCREAMING
Oh no, not the house 🥺 rip Barkbark
Agent Browning is so done with these exy obsessed mafia kids but honestly? I don't blame him
Thea turning on the Ravens 😶
How Jeremy didn't turn out to be a total dick surrounded by family members like that is beyond me.
Another Raven suicide.. and the fact Jean still cares about his former teammates despite all that happened to him at Edgar Allan..
Mathilda bombarding Jeremy with phone calls because she doesn't trust him
Jeremy's favourite color is blue hmmm ok ok
"brown like the gaze that sought Jean out in every room" AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Jean and Laila's conversation on the balcony
The whole end sequence with the dog is so precious. The fact it was Jean who picked the pup out, the dog immediately liking him, Jabberwocky Moreau, Jean's bi panic, "the rules have changed". Perfection.
EDIT: Fuck I forgot to write down the disastrous Foxes vs. Ravens game. My bad, it was too late. Anyways, hopefully all of the injured foxes would be back at no time.

ok its been a day so im ready to put my thoughts down, in no particular order, and definitely an incomplete list. below the cut for length and spoilers
jeremey backstory reveal, I'm :(((
while difficult obviously, i appreciate the way nora has handled homophobia in this book, in a way that balances having a safe place in the trojans with the homophobia of jeremy's family - i dont feel like i can explain it well, it just seems like she captures the homophobia of the time period well, especially in particular kinds of political circles, without it being miserable to read and a hopeless cesspit of homophobia idk
speaking of """time period""" (quotes because treating books set in the early 2000s as historical fiction feels wrong although at this point is accurate) the offhand reference to the politics surrounding the iraq war did untold levels of psychic damage to me
a lot of this comes from that while not a political family like jeremy's, i was growing up at the same time with a family that would have very much politically aligned with them and so it hits close to home
and i'm begging, jeremy needs to figure out in the third book that he deserves the same kind of future he wants for jean and all his friends - one where he is happy with the life he chooses!!!
also let him change his last name since he has rejected wilshire and he wants to let go of knox (i know someone who he could share a last name with too ;) )
after what feels like lots of fandom speculation, i loved that it was just kevin and andrew who came to california for the interview (ok i actually hate that andrew ever has to set foot in california again but narratively i appreciate what it says about his and kevin's relationship that andrew does it), AND the reveal that neil had not told either of them he'd been to see jean - i saw lots of posts/fanfic around neil going back to south carolina and talking to andrew about the grayson stuff and while i understand the interest in exploring that and i dont mean judgment towards that i just love that neil treats that as wholly jean's business and he is not going to be telling his secrets to anyone, including andrew
xavier explaining being trans to jean and jean is just immediately chill about it, in the most predictably jean way possible and its so 🥹🥹
spokane mention jumpscare
happy old gay couple!!!! yes they have to hide it behind the "we're just two bachelors chilling together" but they're gay!! and happy!! and together!! anyway i just don't think there can ever be enough representation for this kind of story and im always happy for stories with queer elders like this!!
in general rhemann's characterization in this book !! i love him your honor. i also love, again after ages of fandom speculation on it, that the one to go to violence for jean is rhemann, but not by breaking the rules to take a red card, but truly in a moment of physical defense of jean but that even STILL nora establishes that this does not make jean feel safe with rhemann, that he can physically stop zane scares him, even if when jean talks with adi he acknowledges he mentally knows rhemann wouldnt hurt him, he still feels scared (i feel like this mirrors neil/wymack's dynamic but its different, but that would be a whole other discussion)
laila and cat. cat and laila. i feel like we got so many insights into them in this book and yet i need MORE. the laila and jeremey family dynamics at play !! cat and jean as biker buddies !! also them at every possible opportunity being like "no jean really, please leave us in the house alone, we have some things to do. together."
the house... their home... im crying for them. while theres obviously the big things, i feel like the mentions of so many of the smaller sentimental things were like stabs in the heart - their photos from their dates, cat's quilts from her grandmother, jeremy's nan's movie collection, jean's first new postcard from kevin, and of course, barkbark :(
trying to rebuild their cozy space, and jean finding a painting in the store, and THAT being what spurs laila and cat into action, and while it's very much in a way of getting things that are "good enough" for now, rather than beloved pieces, i think its so so huge that their new place is something they are so actively building WITH jean
i 100% do not trust those fugly fbi agents though, im still suspicious of the new place
jean's eating disorder issues but him always trusting cat!!! and cat telling him to trust himself!!
speaking of that scene, I'm on my knees begging for pat, ananya, and cody to get together finally!!
jean going to therapy, and verbalizing that he deserves to recover from his trauma, when i tell you i am crying for him
jean bodily checking bryson into laila's car, breaking the windshield, to defend jeremy and laila and laila being "you should have seen him jeremy, it was hot and i dont even like men ;)"
also on the note of unwanted visitors im tired of ravens showing up to harass jean, leave him alone!!!! (insert here the era appropriate "leave britney alone" meme)
jabberwocky moreau !!!!!!
#definitely an incomplete list but if i keep going i think im just going to be retyping the book word for word#anyway nora always delivers#the golden raven#tgr spoilers#the golden raven spoilers#aftg

Mer Roadtrip please :))
WIP Wednesday (3/19) | Mer Roadtrip AU (Part 123)
"He doesn't have to," Lola rolls her eyes. "You always choose the left, Nathaniel. If there are two doors, you go left. Two anything, left. That's how we nabbed you last time."
Neil thinks back to a few mornings ago and finds that she's right. He'd taken the left door out of that gas station and ended up with an arm around his neck. He'd never realized he had a preference. He'll be changing that immediately. He flicks his gaze across the hallway and Lola seems to realize she's just told him it's safe to run.
"If you make me chase you, you'll be worse off when we get to the car." She warns, moving up a stair just as Neil takes a step back.
"I don't think that's possible."
"Do you really want to chance it? We upgraded from that hunk of junk we had in California. If you behave, you can sit all nice and zip-tied in an air conditioned SUV. If not, I can spend the ride back slowly filleting you. You pick." Lola says, stepping forward one again.
"I… need some time to think it over." Neil bolts down the hall and hears Lola curse up a storm as she clambers the steps. If she were actually smart she would've just ran down her own stairs and met him in the foyer, but Neil supposes the qualifier explains why she didn't. He books it towards the other end of the hall and when he's almost halfway there, fire alarms are suddenly blaring all around him. A moment later, doors start opening and people flood out of their rooms.
Neil looks over his shoulder to see Lola get caught up in the throng. She shoves a couple of people out of her way, shouting his name when she can't get to him. As if that would make him stop. He reaches the other set of stairs and pounds down them, his footsteps echoing loudly in the stairwell. He's not able to move as fast as he'd like with the crowd around him, but he lets himself get lost in the herd of panicked vacationers and keeps his head down.
"I'm going to buy you a shield," rings in his mind. And Neil grins like a madman.
Andrew is fucking crazy. Neil likes it.

Fanatic Intervention Part 12!!!
This post features the way I think renting cars works. I'm very sure it doesn't actually work this way, and I could have researched it, but the image is in my head and I thought it was funny having cars on shelves with little description tags like some kind of Automobile Costco Warehouse.
Also, I'm gonna link my playlist because I feel like you all might be interested to see the list of songs I'm working from lol.
Fun fact, the playlist used to be called List of Holding and was meant to be a small collection of songs that I wanted to hear REALLY often. But, um...well, I've since had to change the name :P
This is All Good Omens Now Who Am I Kidding
And yes, I'm very VERY picky about my Queen songs.
OKAY here we go.
Beginning || Previous || Next
********************
In the end, it was surprisingly easy to find a rental company willing to loan you all a car (considering that three out of the four of you have no identification, documents, credit score, valid driver’s licenses, etc.). Deciding on a car, on the other hand, was a bit more complicated.
“I don’t understand why I can’t just miracle the Bentley over,” Crowley whines as the four of you wander the aisles of cars.
“Well for starters, the steering wheel is on the wrong side,” Anathema reasons.
“The wheel’s not on the wrong side! All of these have steering wheels on the wrong side! They drive on the wrong side of the road here too! Americans!” He shoves his hands in his pockets, practically spitting the last word like it’s some kind of curse. Anathema raises an eyebrow at him, but otherwise says nothing.
“Ooh!” Aziraphale calls from further ahead, “Look at this one! The description says that it’s very good for the environment. I mean, aesthetically speaking it isn’t anything extraordinary, but I do like all of these things written on the tag.”
“What kind of car is it?” Anathema asks.
“I believe it says it’s a...Tesla?”
You snort a laugh. “I am NOT getting into one of those things,” You say between giggles.
“Why not?” Aziraphale’s confusion is genuine – you can see it in his face.
“Well,” You begin counting on your fingers, “It farts, it can see ghosts, and it may or may not explode while we’re in it, SO!” You see Crowley’s face light up.
“Sounds like my kind of car!” He says, making his way towards the car that Aziraphale is inspecting.
“No,” Anathema sounds like she’s talking to a child. Or maybe a dog. “No, we are not riding in a Tesla. I’m with you on this one,” she says in your direction.
“I have a suggestion,” You pipe up, raising your hand.
“Oh-ho!” Crowley calls. He leaned slightly to the left, and took off between the aisles. All three of you have to jog to keep up with him. He’s stopped in front of an enormous Hummer. “Now THIS is a CAR!”
Anathema is shaking her head.
“No, wait, listen, I have it,” You say, and everyone turns to look at you expectantly. “It’s the only logical option here. It fits the vintage vibe that you two like, and it’s the most reliable car I know of aside from Bentley.”
“Well go on,” encourages Anathema, “Don’t keep us in suspense.”
“What we need is a 1967 Chevy Impala!”
And THAT, dear Reader, is how you find out that none of them have seen Supernatural. Or heard of it, even. Criminal, really. You resolve to make them watch it next chance you get. In the end, Anathema suggests a very practical SUV and well, you’ve all learned not to argue with her by now.
Honestly the woman needs a cake for putting up with the three of you.
Also, as it turns out, one of the perks of having a current car model is that you can sync up your playlist to the bluetooth. So guess who ends up in charge of the music.
“And THIS one,” You say, flicking through your playlist, “Is a song that was suggested for the Season 3 playlist by Neil Gaiman himself!” And you press play on The Book of Love. And you watch their faces. You want to see their reaction when it gets to the part about wedding rings.
“Are all of your songs for us love songs?” Aziraphale asks. He stopped complaining about your taste in music an hour ago. Crowley is driving, and Anathema has been zoned out for a while now.
“Uuuummm, the ones that aren’t breakup songs you mean? Pretty much yeah.”
Crowley groans.
“Except for like, Queen and Hozier.”
Crowley groans again.
“I thought you liked Queen,” You are shocked and alarmed. Crowley rolls his whole head (probably because you wouldn’t see him roll his eyes behind his sunglasses).
“Go on then,” he says, “Which Queen songs do you have on that playlist of yours?” He glares at you through the rearview mirror. Suddenly, you hesitate.
“Um...Somebody to Love, and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy,” You finish meekly. Crowley nearly crashes the car. Whether it was on purpose or not doesn’t matter. Anathema takes the wheel and he gets demoted to the back seat. Next to you. As a peace offering, you hand him your phone with your spotify open, and let him take charge of the music. You feel that you might not survive the ride otherwise.
Google Maps pegs the estimated driving time from NYC to New Orleans at 19 hours. Splitting the driving between a demon and a responsible human woman, the four of you manage a respectable 12 hours including a number of breaks to: use the washroom, get coffee, get food, look at the view, poke around a used bookshop, pick some apples, eat the apples, and buy some fudge. Crowley refuses to admit that he may or may not have stopped time once or twice, and Aziraphale refuses to account for your sudden bursts of energy from time to time (conveniently and suspiciously whenever there was a stop he was interested in).
So, having made excellent time, all four of you arrive in New Orleans. Crowley is back at the wheel now, and he pulls the car into the parking lot of The Ritz. Because of course it’s The Ritz again. Anathema doesn’t even comment this time. You figure she was probably expecting it. Learning fast, that one. You check in, and aren’t all that surprised to find that you’ve been booked into the fanciest suite in the place once again. According to the pamphlet at the front desk, this suite is supposed to only be two rooms, but when you arrive, you find that it actually contains 3. Why? Supernatural beings who influence their surroundings.
“You really do have some expensive taste,” You say casually to Aziraphale as you place your bag on the floor.
“It was Crowley who booked this one,” the angel replies, inspecting the knick-knacks on a shelf to his left.
“Crowley? Trying to impress you, no doubt.”
“Pft!” Comes Crowley’s response from behind you, “Right, and not at all because to get up here you need a special passkey, which keeps unexpected guests few, far between, and easy to notice.” He gives you a pointed look over his sunglasses. “We’ve been lucky so far that we’ve been left alone since Heathrow. But don’t think for a minute that he won’t be back.”
“That’s...fair.” You pause and think for a minute. “Then we should probably limit going out too. Unless we really need to.”
“That would be best, yes,” Anathema agrees, “But please, leave the hotel staff alone.”
Well, honestly she could only expect that request to go so far once Aziraphale found the room service menu.

PART EIGHT — REMEDIES

ENTER AURORA HENSON. . .
The blonde-headed girl had been bedrotting since the events of last week’s party. She hadn’t seen or heard from Charlie, and the only notifications that resided on her phone were concerned texts from Neil and aimless likes on her Twitter account.
She hated this.
No matter what she did or where she wandered on the wide, sultry Vermont campgrounds, she thought about Charlie. The words that he spat at her while drunk and vulnerable echoed in her head every night before she went to sleep, and his stupid, sarcastic tone buried itself deep inside her chest. If she were still enough, she was almost sure she could feel him—his ghost lingering in her bunk while she laid there, praying that he’d disappear and haunt someone else.
Among all of this, she missed him.
She knew they were done for—a ending so bittersweet for something that hadn’t even begun yet.
She sat up in her bed. Her hair was a mess, bunched up and tangled from days worth of refusing to brush it.
She needed to shower.
She needed to clear her head.
The majority of her bunkmates were out and about, enjoying the weather before the nearing thunderstorm.
Though mostly silent, they were worried about her.
Alas, Aurora wasn’t completely alone in the bunk—it was her and one other girl, another blonde named Julien who’d been deep into costume design and came to the Vermont retreat to pursue theatre opportunities.
Julien reminded Aurora of Neil.
The two stirred in their beds, and Julien found herself eyeing Aurora’s slouched figure as she parted her lips.
“It couldn’t have been that bad,” she finally said.
Aurora turned to face the girl. She dragged her hands down her face. “It was,” she answered. “Miserable.”
Julien tilted her head at Aurora’s reply. “Charlie Dalton isn’t worth all of this sulking. No boy is.”
Aurora shook her head. “He isn’t just some boy, Jules.”
Julien didn’t know what Charlie was to Aurora. Aurora didn’t know, either. All she knew was that she felt connected to him—and that it hurt trying to move past him.
“Get up,” Julien eventually ordered, shifting in her bed across the room. She’d been sitting at the end, her legs pulled underneath her weight.
Aurora, at first, shook her head. She didn’t want to. Her body was tired—she wasn’t sleeping well, and deep down it seemed taxing to even try and socialize with the other girls scattered amongst the Vermont campgrounds.
But, the longer she refused against Julien’s demand, the longer Julien stared at her.
Julien was a demanding blonde.
“Ugh,” sighed Aurora. “Why?”
“Look at yourself,” Julien answered. “Your hair is knotted, you’re worn the same clothes since last weekend, and you’ve barely gotten out of the bunk. Don’t you want to live up summer while you still can? Besides, you saw the forecast—there’s a storm brewing.”
“So what?” Aurora shrugged. “I like rain.”
Julien rolled her eyes. “Stop this. Get up, please? I’ll brush through your hair and then we’ll go get slushees before the rain comes down.”
Aurora’s interest peeked at the idea of a frozen beverage.
Julien knew how to work her magic, that’s for sure.
With little protest, Aurora pulled herself out of her bed and towards the little dresser at the end of the shared room. She grabbed a change of clothes, a spray bottle she used for her curly hair, and a few brushes for Julien.

After Julien made it through the knots in Aurora’s hair and the two changed into much more suitable clothes, they made their way out of the shared bunk and towards the closest 7/11. Of course, disappearing off the campgrounds was frown upon, but the kids didn’t listen much. They’d come back from long walks with sweet treats and new experiences—which, in Aurora’s eyes, was what summer was all about, anyways.
With slushees in hand, they had the entire walk back to campus to get things out of their systems. Julien was prepared to listen to Aurora—if Aurora felt comfortable sharing what ailed her.
She did, indeed.
Without Julien initiating anything, Aurora’s lips parted as she swallowed, her lips tinted blue from the drink in her hand. The clouds in the sky were brewing, dark and angry and already letting out tiny droplets of rainwater.
“I hope he doesn’t think I hate him, or that I’m prepared to give up on things,” she said.
Julien watched the girl as they walked down the sloped street. “What would he hate you for?”
“Because I didn’t push him to be honest,” she answered.
Julien hadn’t attended the party, so she had no clue what went down between the two of them, but she knew Aurora and her passion for the people around her. Alas, she took a long sip of her drink, the sky increasing in darkness. “Maybe you refusing to push him is exactly what he needed,” she said.
“How so?” Aurora asked, a few droplets of rain coating her hair. The strands began to frizz from the humidity.
Julien’s lips were tinted red. Her teeth were stained, too. Aurora could see as she talked, which made her giggle softly to herself.
“Think of it this way,” answered Julien. “He has these emotions that he’s scared to face, and perhaps your refusal to force him is what’ll motivate him to finally get over his fear. I doubt he’d just… forgotten about your existence, Rora. You’ve got mutual friends. You’re beautiful, too. You captivate easily.”
“Yeah?” Aurora teased, slightly honored to hear such praise from Julien.
Julien nodded. “Yeah,” she repeated back.
The rain was coming down a bit harder now, the two quickening their pace. They were about five minutes away from the campgrounds, and they were determined to make it back before the soft, summer droplets became a torrential downpour.
The pair found out the hard way that they couldn’t outrun the rain.
Perhaps it was a metaphor for something.
They laughed, drinks in hand as they ran through the grass. Mud coated their beat-up sneakers, stains of green and brown stuck to the fabric and the leather. Aurora’s socks were soaked, and Julien’s hair had been glued to her face. The heat was much more bearable with the addition of a summer storm.
Once the two made it back onto the campgrounds, Julien immediately booked it towards their bunk.
She realized though that Aurora wasn’t following.
The curly-headed blonde had been standing there, eyeing the old oak tree from a comfortable distance—though, the visuals were cloudy as the wind and rain picked up force.
Julien shouted. “What are you doing?! You’re drenched.”
Aurora pointed. “He’s standing over there,” she yelled.
Julien then focused her attention on the oak tree, understanding now what caught Aurora’s attention.
Charlie was leaning against the bark, his back harshly pressed along the sharp edges as the rain came down. A few boys ran past him, counselors directing them towards shelter from the storm. Charlie didn’t move, however—his brown hair now black from the water.
“Are you just gonna stand there?!” Julien yelled again, her eyes back on Aurora.
Her curls were now flat. “I don’t know,” she replied.
Julien exhaled. “Go after him,” she then said.
Aurora broke contact from the oak tree to face Julien, whose expression was filled with motivation and support.
It didn’t take much for Aurora after that.
In fact, she’d already been running after Charlie, a reply to Julien being the least of her concerns.
The rain came down harder, faster. Puddles formed in the grass, the slopes and hills of the countryside making it harder for Aurora to keep a steady pace.
She didn’t dare let it slow her.
Her heart pounded deep inside her chest, her breathing erratic and quickened. She pushed her sopping wet hair behind her ears, wiping rainwater from her face as she ran. Charlie’s figure remained in her peripheral vision the entire time, her legs tired from running.
At last, she made it to him.
The rain beat down onto the pavilion roof, and through the pitter-patters, Aurora could hear the sounds of her own breathing as she tried to regain composure.
Charlie pulled himself away from the bark. He was shocked to see Aurora here—so close to him, and in such a vulnerable position. “What the hell are you doing?! Are you crazy, it’s pouring rain,” he hollered.
Aurora was hunched over, her hands on her knees as she caught her breath. “Are you?! You’re standing out here by yourself.”
Charlie exhaled. “I was thinking,” he mumbled.
There was more that he wanted to say, but he couldn’t—though he sensed that, by the end of this, she’d find a way to drag the words out of him.
Soaked, Aurora straightened herself out. Her voice was loud, booming harder than the incoming thunder. It was a drastic change from her party demeanor. “Stop thinking,” she yelled. “Say it, Charlie!”
His arms tightened at his sides as he paced back and forth, his eyes locked on Aurora and the rain that trailed down her cheeks.
“No,” he trembled. “No, I won’t.”
“Yes, you will,” she glared through the downpour.
He was so beautiful to her.
Charlie’s eyes filled with a sudden flush of emotion.
“You shouldn’t be out here,” he yelled back.
Aurora’s eyebrows furrowed, her eyes widened. “There’s so many reasons why I should,” she argued.
The weather didn’t pause for them. It drenched them. It made a muddy, sticky mess underneath of their feet and caused Charlie’s shirt to stick to his skin.
Aurora stepped closer. If she reached out, she’d be touching his arm.
“Why won’t you feel?” She broke through the sounds of the rain for just a moment, her face red and blotchy.
Charlie shook his head. His eyes were now squinted shut.
Aurora allowed herself to inch a little closer. She could feel that he was close to breaking—and she’d be there for the fallout.
Charlie felt her. Even though he wasn’t looking, he knew how close she’d gotten. Their breaths synced.
He couldn’t take it any longer.
He broke.
“I am afraid to be close to you,” his hands shook. “You—you scare me, Aurora, and I love the thrill, but I can’t. I don’t know how this is supposed to feel, or how to manage it. I hate pushing you away. I hate pushing anyone away. I don’t want to. I don’t want to be alone.”
Aurora’s breathing stopped. Her mouth fell open.
She reached for his hand.
Their skin collided, both wet and shaking with unearthed emotions. Charlie’s fingertips drew circles along her palm. She smiled, looking up at the boy with admiration.
“It’s okay,” she said. “You’re okay.”
She was soft with him. He fell for it. Perhaps she was right, after all. He wanted to believe her always.
Charlie didn’t hesitate after that.
He closed the space between the two of them, his lips finding hers as the rain poured down. Her arms snaked around the back of his neck, and his hand pulled away from her palm and relocated to the space above her hip bone. She could feel the fabric of his damp shirt, and if she paid even closer attention, she could feel his heart as it hammered against his rib cage.
It didn’t matter how fast the rain was coming down at this point—all that mattered was Charlie’s lips against hers, and the softness of his vulnerability in that moment.
And, when the two finally did pull apart, it didn’t last long.
That was what Aurora craved.

this is just testing the waters, it's not going to be completely canon adherent buttttt it will follow canon events closely
here are the name changes (i spent an awful amount of time trying to figure something out for todd, it was terrible)
i attempted to try and keep them the same just in their feminine forms, or even just along the lines of the same meaning. (failed miserably) if you have any better ideas, and i'm sure you do please suggest them to me i beg, because geraldine and richelle do not sit right with me.
Neil -> Nielina (nay-lee-nah) Perry
Todd -> Odette (Dottie) Anderson
Charlie -> Charlotte (Charlie) Dalton
Knox -> Knox (Knoxious) Overstreet
Richard -> Richelle (most still call her Cameron) Cameron
Steven - > Stephanie (Stevie or Meeksie) Meeks
Gerard -> Geraldine (most still call her Pitts or Pittsie)
and heres a small snippet of the first chapter
───────
Odette swallowed down a flinch as the headmaster – Mr Nolan, she corrected herself, for she knew if she didn’t remember his name now she never would – rapped sharply on the lectern, followed immediately by piercing screeches of bagpipes. For what seemed like the tenth time that day Odette had to bite back an exasperated sigh.
It’s not that she didn’t want to be here, it’s that she didn’t want to be pressed against her stepfather for any longer than she had to – and she’s sure this school didn’t need all these theatrics to prove it’s a prestigious school. Odette brushed her fingers against the back of her hand, her teeth snagging on her bottom lip as she watched a well-rehearsed line of students and esteemed alumni file through the crowd. A few of the students carried large banners brandished with what she assumed to be the school’s values, which towered over their heads, looking more like comically large shields than a sign of prestige – but alas, Odette wasn’t the headmaster.
Her eyes flicked down to escape the commotion for a few seconds before lifting her gaze back up, and then thoroughly wishing she had allowed her mind to wander instead of being respectful, for bright, sunny blue eyes had met her own and had rendered her practically motionless. Which is silly, considering that she’s just a girl who, coincidentally happened to be looking in her direction at the same time she was. But it wasn’t all that silly, actually, because this girl didn’t look away.
Odette blinked once, twice, the sound of the bagpipes dampening as she became increasingly aware of the heat rising in her cheeks because she still hadn’t looked away, and Odette could make out the perfect part in the girl’s hair that was tied back in a loose, yet presentable braid, and the faint splash of freckles that adorned the skin around the bridge of her nose, and – Odette’s attention was torn away from a sharp nudge from her stepfather, and she realised with a pit in her stomach that half of the crowd were standing and reciting something. She stood up hastily, brushing her blazer down – which stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the uniformed girls, and remained standing awkwardly in silence until most people had begun to sit down again.
Scratch that, she didn’t want to be here.
Odette’s never been much of an extrovert. If the off chance came along that she was in a social situation, she preferred to sit on the outskirts and observe. She liked it that way. Everyone else liked it that way, too. If she’s quiet, who’s to protect her when someone takes advantage of that?
If there’s one thing about Odette that was unconditional, it would be how much she hated being perceived. If there were two things about Odette that were unconditional, they would be how much she hated being perceived and how much she hated that ache in her heart that scraped against the walls of her chest, begging – longing to be seen.
Headmaster Nolan had begun speaking. Odette’s not sure when, but the crowd occasionally erupted into rushed applause, cutting through the harsh fog clouding her mind. It didn’t stop it from returning, though.

Andrew & Nicky therapy pt.2
“Hello, boys. I’m happy to see you here together again.” Bee said. “The last session got away from us and that’s on me. I’m so sorry for that.” She said and waited, looking if one of them wanted to say something. “Today we will try something different.” She turned her attention to Nicky. “Nicky, you said last time that you felt like Andrew didn’t consider you guys as his family. Would you like to elaborate on that?” She asked.
Nicky looked startled by that question. “I didn’t mean that. I know it’s hard for him to express his emotions and I get why. I know he is capable of caring about people and he is getting better at showing that. I could see it in the way he protected Kevin and struck a weird friendship with Renee or how he is now with Aaron. Don’t even get me started on Neil.” Nicky said and he sounded proud.
Andrew hated the way it made him feel, because it felt good. He wanted Nicky to be proud of him and that was infuriating.
“What about you?” Bee asked Nicky.
“What about me?” Nicky said, looking down and playing with a hair tie he held in his hands.
“Do you feel like Andrew cares about you?” Bee elaborated.
Nicky scoffed at that and his leg started moving up and down.
“No. I know he doesn’t and that’s okay. Doesn’t change the fact that I care about him.” NIcky said and Andrew felt some kind of pain in his chest.
It was a weird feeling. One that he wasn’t very familiar with, but one that happened before. He felt it when he sat for hours outside of the bathroom in Columbia with Aaron crying on the other side, begging him to let him out. He felt it when he looked into Kevin’s eyes after almost choking the striker to death. He had his suspicion about what that feeling was, but did not dare to name it.
“Andrew,” Bee’s gentle voice brought him back to the present. “Would you like to address what Nicky just said?”
Andrew shook his head.
Bee nodded and looked at her notes. “Okay, then. I know you said last week that what Nicky did to Neil didn’t make you feel anything, but I would like you to try again.”
Andrew sighed at that. He knew it was coming. It was why they were here after all.
“I meant it when I said it makes me want to stab him, because I know that if I don’t he’s going to do it again to someone else. He probably already did.” Andrew said and saw Nicky opening his mouth to defend himself, but didn’t let him. “ There were six kids throughout the years in Cass’s home after me. They always do it again.”
Nicky shut his mouth and it took him a minute to reply. “I get where you're coming from, Andrew.“ Nicky said with great difficulty. “I still don’t think it’s the same.” He added quietly.
“That’s how it starts.” Andrew replied. “First you make them feel uncomfortable. ‘It’s just a comment, it’s harmless.’ Then you start to grope them, because ‘look at those muscles, how can I not?’. Then you kiss them even though they don’t want it, because you’re in a crowded club, drunk out of your ass and the next thing you know you are r*ping your seven year old foster kid.” Andrew said without thinking.
“Seven?” Nicky asked, his eyes blown wide. “Weren’t you at the Speers when you were twelve?” Andrew looked away, but could still see Nicky’s face turn into sorrow.
His cousin was about to open his mouth, but Andrew stopped him again. “Don’t.” He said. “Don’t you dare pity me.”
Nicky nodded and Andrew decided to just go for it. He was already vulnerable enough, why not just add the final nail to his coffin. “F*ck it.” He said, turning to Nicky and looking him straight in the eyes. “ Your house in Columbia was the first place where I have ever felt safe. You bought me a lock to my bedroom door and it changed everything. You were never a property to me, Nicky. You were my family and you ruined that.”
Nicky had tears streaming down his face. “I’m so sorry.” Nicky said through a sob.
“I don’t need your apologies.” Andrew said, looking away again.
“Then what do you need, Andrew? I’ll do anything. You want me to go to Germany, I’ll be out of here tomorrow. You want to stab me, I’ll let you. Just tell me what to do to fix it and I’ll do it.”
“Get out.” Andrew said and saw Nicky nodding with so much hurt in his eyes. “I’ll see you here next week.” Andrew added.
Nicky looked up at him with so much hope, Andrew had to try really hard not to punch him in the face.

Stinky little idiots <3
I cannot stop writing these two together. I love them. HATE Gortash but love him with durge.
RAMBLE AHEAD!! Also maybe spoilers??? I realized the format didn't work properly so I edited out all the spoilers I believe, but just in case, if you don't like spoilers, scroll SUPER fast. I doubt anyone will read it all because it is VERY long but I just really needed to get it out somewhere and if someone does read my ramble even just a little bit of it, heads-up for spoilers and shit grammar pfft!!
This is part of something I drew because I have in mind for an AU where Mordriel wakes up in the ship, thinking of Gortash. In my "canon" story for him, he sees Gortash in his visions when something reminds him of his background, but for this AU, Gortash isn't just passing visions here and there, with no name only face and vibes, he's in Mordriel's mind 24/7 essentially. Along with Gortash being his first though, he never met Neil (his sister) again after losing his memories, which means he never saw Neil care for Karlach, which meant he never even met Karlach or heard of how Gortash treated her, and because of this, never saw Gortash as a creepy little guy, only as his beautiful little lover. On top of that, without meeting Neil again, he falls into his deepest "dark urge-est" life. He only really had control because of Neil, because he was scared to hurt her again after his first transformation (even though partial), he lost full control and hurt her trying to protect her. So, without needing to be careful of hurting his little sister, he has no reason to hold back.
He also never caught feelings for Astarion because he knew he already had a lover waiting for him. Although, that didn't change his and Astarion's relationship very much because Mordriel treats his friends with just as much love and value as his lovers, just with less kissing sometimes. The only real change in the relationship relationship is that Mordriel didn't sleep with him at all. He still adores Astarion deeply, and takes care of him just as he takes care of Lae'zel and Gale and Shadowheart and all of the others he's taken in.
This drawing is kinda after their first reunion. In both his "canon" story and this AU, he goes to meet Gortash alone. Only in his regular story it's because he's worried of Gortash's explosive personality bleeding out towards his precious party members, and in this AU, he really just wants to see his boyfriend alone and be able to get all sappy and emotional without Astarion in the background scoffing at the sight of emotions. After they talk for a long while they go out to the woods together by Mordriel's request and have a ton of cuddles. And a little more, but it's way more emotionally driven than just being horny. It's so much more than being horny, it's seeing your lover in what feels like eternity, having only your own thoughts for solace when your lover had been your everything for the past fifteen years.
Another thing is that I just love him now?? I hate him but I love him?? I don't know, I'm a sucker for dramatic, over-the-top, evil little emo villains with big noses and sad eyes and smile lines. He reminds me of Lucio (from the arcana) in a way, because I LOVE Lucio in his route. He's my sad little sweet man and I'd kill for him. He's just a sad guy who needs some love and care, and someone to show him he's worth loving. But then in Muriel's route, just Lucio's name sets me off. Which is how I feel about Gortash
Okay I'm done :)
