Propaganda from submitters Under Cut
Kuusuke Saiki
Threatened to reveal his brothers psychic powers to the world via live stream if didn’t complete a series of tasks that I would consider to be shitty saw traps all to reveal a birthday cake and some birthday wishes. Dude’s got issues
He’s also a teaboo
He is blonde and he is such a prick. Absolute jerk. Such an honest to god bitch.
Kuusuke that bitch. He's such a fucking dickwad I hate thisan so much. I am an avid hater of blondes but this vile piece of shit takes the cake. Dude plays psychological warfare games on his brother and acts all but hurt that he's not always the smartest guy in the room. He's like if Albert Einstein was also the guy from saw. Except unlike the guy from saw he directs all of his hatred towards Kusuo (his brother). He treats every member of his family like dogshit and has a God complex that is threatened by the mere existence of his brother. Which yeah, sure, I get that it can be hard to be praised for something your whole life only for it to be immediately made unimportant by your little brother with psychic powers, but Christ on a cracker! No need to spend your entire life but hurt about it
please consider kuusuke is a flaming faggot.
Did i mention that kuusuke enslaved a town of old people that included his own grandparents? Cause he did that.
Nanami Kiryuu
She's the mean girl of the show, and a pretty interesting take on the "bitchy vain school rival of the protagonist" trope. She spends most of her early screentime being a bully and most of her later screentime being both the biggest loser imaginable and deeply sad/troubled (which still does not erase how much of an asshole she can be). She even laughs like your stereotypical mean rich girl. Nanami has so many problems and sucks so so bad. I adore her.
Shes a psychotic bully who seeks to ruin the lives and reputations of any girl who gets more of her brothers attention than she does. Reasons Nanami Kiryuu deserves to win: - she has made many attempts at physical and psychological terrorism against Anthy Himemiya (including a plotted wardrobe malfunction at a crowded social gathering) simply for drawing more of her brother's attention than her - tried to fill Anthy's bedroom with wild animals (a snail, a snake, and a live octopus) to make her out to be a freak only to find that her room was already full of wild animals - she bankrolled an elementary schoolers crush on her to turn him into her personal boyservant - briefly non-personed a member of her bully entourage for sharing an umbrella with her brother - received a luxury cowbell due to a shipping error and smugly wore it to school for weeks flaunting it like high coture - when her bully entourage rebelled against her due to her brothers manipulation she brought them back in line by just straight up beating the shit out of all of them - all in all just a petty, goonish motherfucker (she also does the ohohohohoho anime girl laugh)
she's blond: despite being Japanese her hair is yellow, unlike her brother's. yellow is even her image color. she's a jerk: introduced as a jealous and dishonest scheming bully, she is one of the more outwardly antagonistic characters in a cast where pretty much everyone is a Real Piece Of Work she's the best: the quintessential ohoho-laughing ojou, her fully-realized character arc makes people both laugh and cry even her sidekick is a blond jerk! how many blond jerks have their own blond jerk sidekick?
i don't know what you've heard but she's NOT the kind of girl who lays eggs!
The token mean rich girl of the franchise. Does the classic "ohohoho" laugh. Doesn't like either of our main characters. She never actually seems to get her way, and secretly has a lot of her own problems. also she lays eggs and turns into a cow
Absolutely THE quintessential anime mean girl. I mean literally her laughing is THE meme for the hohohoho anime laugh. Needs attention So Badly and straight up bullies anyone she deems a threat to that (so basically Everyone). I haven’t finished RGU but apparently she duels with the intent to kill and drowned a kitten once because it was taking up too much of her brother’s attention? Also she’s 13 which explains a lot

I'm curious: If there was one thing about the original 6 FNAF games you could change, what would it be? Would it be something that would perhaps make your AU all the better? Or would it be something you simply don't agree with on a personal level?
The first 6 games are what I would call pretty damn fire, HW and Special Delivery were going in a good direction (yk until Security Breach and RUIN-ED fucked shit up, don't even get me started on HW 2 and the Secret of The Mimic game, I'm watching you Steel Wool...) But anyway, I'll answer your question below!
The first of a few changes I would make would just be...make things clearer Scott! Like God damn the only way most...ALL of us have even comprehend the lore of this franchise is from FANS having to decipher it! If the average person who just wants to understand the story has to watch COUNTLESS videos, or read several articles or read stupid books, is that really fun for them? That's basically homework 😭😭
I know the fun part is the mystery and finding clues, but the clues given are like- so vague bro. Even Poppy Playtime has a more overarching story! And that's not really a good thing considering yk, Mob Entertainment is behind the game unfortunately. (It's probably only overarching to me because it's just easier to find clues and lore details, which is what LORE SHOULD BE WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO USE ANOTHER MEDIUM TO UNLOCK THE FULL STORY 💔) maybe I just like being spoon fed information tbh I'm not the smartest person alive 😭
And also, the box. I know he said the box doesn't matter anymore, but like...wouldn't it be fun to find out what it actually was? (Side note: the box will be important in my re-imagining thing, but I won't spoil what it is, one hint I will give is it got Clara killed when she discovered what was in it)
Also, maybe Charlie? Or at least her gender, I thought it was weird that she was originally meant to be a boy in the second game, and they changed her to a girl in the later games. I don't mind her being a girl because I think this franchise needs to have more girlypops, but one or the other, Scott! Either keep her still being a boy or have her planned out as a girl in the first place.
I'm sure I probably have more ideas for canon changes somewhere in my brain, but any chnages I want about the first 6 games are basically why I made my re-imagining, it's just how I would make FNAF in my vision using/updating the OG lore!

The Evolution of Aloy
This time around, I want to talk about Aloy herself and how she's changed over the course of the two games.
It's funny how some characters in gaming franchises never change even after decades. World views, personal growth, temperment etc. They stay the same for better or for worse. Often, even after cataclysmic, world changing events, they remain the same.
In Horizon Forbidden West (PC) this does not seem to be the case. Yes, other characters have changed but I want to focus on our protagonist.
It seems to me that in HFW, Aloy has exponentially changed and not in completely positive ways. In what I believe to be a conscience choice by the writers to show this evolution, there are some things she has said where I found myself cringing and saying things like "Hey, easy now" or "Whoa! Come on. Don't be like that!" when she's addressing various characters during interactions that involve spirituality and belief.
I've found myself, without giving spoilers, thinking "Shit. That was a bit harsh!" as she intentionally or not, crushes someone's feelings either by indifference or action/inaction. As someone with Autism, I can very much relate to being perceived as indifferent or uncaring/unfeeling when that is not the case at all.
I also feel like she has become a bit of a chest puffer (gotten a tad full of herself) like when she threatens death to a highly respected Chief. Saying she could just kill hiim and take, instead of waiting to be given; what she wants. These aren't particularly likeable aspects of her growth but they are realistic and understandable given the unimaginable stress of being everybody's "Savior" when all she wants is to be Aloy.
As her knowledge of AI and technology, science, history etc. has grown, she has, as typically has been the case in humanity's evolution, begun to show a sometimes not so thinly veiled contempt for cultures that still practice spirituality and make a lot of decisions based on their beliefs and/or societal hierarchy.
There exists now, at least as I have perceived it, a new aspect to her very complex personality not just in her verbal communication but also in terms of subtle looks of exasperation, eye rolling, and an outright dismissive attitude towards spiritual practices by new cultures she's encountered.
When she meets a character that has far more knowledge and understanding of science, technology and history than her, they in a very Aloy way of doing things, make sure she's aware of that fact.
This is, to me at least, when she (to use a bit of a cliche) suddenly realizes she is no longer the smartest person in the room and she does not like it.
Now, since AI is a huge part of the story, I decided to ask one about this change/growth/evolution that has happened with her and here is what it said:
----------------------------------------------------
"Aloy’s character development in “Horizon Forbidden West” reflects her growing knowledge and understanding of the world’s history and technology. As she uncovers more about the ancient past and the true nature of the machines and AI, her perspective shifts 1. This shift may lead her to view the spiritual practices and beliefs of other tribes through a more critical lens, especially when they conflict with her scientific discoveries.
In “Horizon Zero Dawn,” Aloy is an outcast seeking the truth about her origins and the world. Her journey leads her to challenge the dogmatic views of her tribe and question the world around her. By the time of “Horizon Forbidden West,” Aloy has become a figure of significant importance, and her experiences have made her more confident in her knowledge 1. This confidence might come across as dismissiveness or intolerance, but it’s rooted in her deep understanding of the world’s workings, which often contradicts the tribal myths and beliefs.
Her character’s evolution is a complex interplay between her personal growth, the revelations she uncovers, and the responsibilities she shoulders. It’s a narrative choice that adds depth to her character and reflects the tension between tradition and progress"
--------------------------------------------------------------
Again, the section in quotation marks is the response from an AI and NOT something I wrote. Just making this extra clear.
This is pretty much the point I wanted to make. As an Anishinabe (Ojibway/Chippewa) living on the Rez, because of my people's complex, elemental, natural and spiritual belief systems, I have a good understanding of a lot of cultural practices portrayed in the game.
As a reasonably intelligent, compassionate and empathetic human being, I've also learned that I have to balance my cultural beliefs and practices with the realities of living in "modern" times and that means being respectful of not just my own culture, but to others whose belief systems may be perceived to be less enlightened than others.
This does not make me dislike her or playing as Aloy. It actually makes me enjoy it even more because it makes me feel and accept a lot of things few games do. Like, how we're not infallible. We are flawed. We can get our asses kicked. We have an ego that can get the better of us. it also makes me respect the writers even more for not letting her be a one dimensional, "White Savior"
I like the discomfort I feel playing as Aloy when she's constantly being put on a pedestal as if she had saved the world all by herself when she keeps telling people she was just one of many.
I like the annoyance I feel when someone makes a snide comment as I'm walking by them and I literally stop and turn around thinking "Say that to my face. Yeah, that's what I thought"
I like the frustration of wanting to scream "I HAVE A NAME FFS!" every time someone calls me "Outlander" and wanting to just get on my Charger and fuck off into the wilds and leave the world to it's own devices.
Yes, as she grows she develops some not so great character flaws but that's what is so great about it. It makes her even more real and relatable. After all, she's only human.

my girl @ronniebox tagged me and so here we go!
Rules: List ten books that have stayed with you in some way, don’t  take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard - they don’t have to  be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you.
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman - my mother gave me this book to read when I was maybe 11, it was her copy that she had bought when Pratchett came and gave a reading at our local library in like, 1992. I'd say no book has been more formative to me, but in writing this I don't think thats true.
The City and the City by China Mieville - I got into Mieville through my girl @crimeandcricket, and was horribly traumatised by the body horror in perdido street station, and was way too influenced by his often pretentious writing style, but the city and the city is a masterpiece I'll never recover fully from and changed me for the better.
The Children's Hospital by Chris Adrian - I'm fairly sure no one but me loves this book, but it is also a book that multiple people stopped me when I was reading in public just from the cover image. My favourite kind of book is a book that can only be written by one person, and Adrian is a theologian and paediatrician, and this book uses every single one of his hyperfixations and also made me cry more than anything else.
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster - Actually, this book probably did more to calcify my sense of humour than Pratchett did. The smartest, funniest, coolest children's book ever, and this has reminded me to get the tattoo of Tock on my wrist.
Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield - I read this every christmas morning as a treat to myself. I also adore White Boots, the ice skating book, but Ballet Shoes is such a perfect gem of a story that is the favourite of my grandmother, my mother and myself.
Shabanu/Daughter of the Wind by Suzanne Fisher Staples - The first book that made me cry, inspired my fondness for camels and was probably my first feminist awakening? I've only read one of the sequels, but it was so brutal I still haven't emotionally recovered entirely.
The Amateur Cracksman by E. W Hornung - my mastermind specialist subject, a book that consumed me across time and space, Raffles my beloved, Bunny my beloved, I remember the moment I read the first story and my life changed literally forever. The Black Mask and A Thief In The Night are also obviously amazing and really all three should be considered one book, but something in my life changed for the better when I read the line 'AJ Raffles would be my friend!' in The Ides of March and I realised oh no, they're mine now.
Exhalation by Ted Chiang - very hard for me to choose a Ted Chiang story so thankfully I will pick his second collection, which has The Life Cycle of Software Objects and also the one about the parrots. It does not have Hell is the Absence of God or stories of your life, but tbh, software objects was the first of his stories I ever read, so it deserves to be here, even if it guts me like a fish every time.
Rivals by Jilly Cooper - if I could have anyone's writing career, it would be Jilly Cooper's. Everytime I read this insane soap opera of a book it holds me hostage until I finish it, and its like 700 pages long. The most wonderfully 80s OTT sex farce about horrible people trying to buy an ITV franchise. I genuinely can't believe that disney plus are making it into a series.
The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson - One of his least famous books and yet I think his best? I had read the Mars books several times before I picked this up, but this alternate history where 90% of Europe are killed by the black death, following how world history changes through the eyes of characters who reincarnate but always find each other, somehow??? it grabbed me by the throat and never let go.
tell me YOUR formative texts pls @crimeandcricket @deputychairman @myth-blossom @skylightpirate @stickthisbig @apricotbones @postalninja @cajunandfire @within-infant-rind

Fred Jones has to be white?
or: Some show runners for Velma said some dumb stuff and now I wanna talk about it.
So FIRST OFF: I haven’t watched Velma, I have no intention of doing so and I’m writing this because I saw the show runners say something in an interview clip during a critique video that I thought was very silly and perhaps a little rude.
The statement was essentially that they’d race swapped the cast of the Scooby gang with the exception of Fred because his character was in in some ways just so white. So Fred is in the show as a rich white guy.
And quite frankly I don’t get that at all. I don’t see it. So let’s talk about Fred!
Tumblr media
In the Scooby-doo franchise, Fred Jones is the leader of the gang, and while I’m not a Scooby-Doo expert I’d say it’s fair to say the following are often core components of Fred’s characterization: General Optimism and Good Intentions: It’s not only visually that Fred’s the brightest member of the group, he’s generally of a sunny disposition and looking to help those around him. He seems the most motivated to solve the mysteries out of sense of wanting to do good and to help the people being afflicted by these seemingly supernatural occurrences. His general optimism and faith in his group’s ability to handle whatever they encounter in one way or another helps hold the group together and is part of what makes him a natural fit for the leader position in the group.
A Bit of an Oaf: Fred isn’t portrayed as dim-witted to the point of being incapable but he can often be painfully oblivious and more size and good looks than brain-power. This isn’t an uncommon trope, especially with male characters with larger builds and helps make up part of the comedic element of Fred’s character as well as allow for continued optimism in the majority of situations.
Compassionate and Somewhat Deferential:  While these things don’t necessarily have to go together in a person, with Fred I feel like they do. He’s not unaware as his position of leader of the gang, nor is he unaware that he’s not the smartest person in the group. So he not only values but encourages the contribution of others in the gang and takes a keen interest in their well-being not just because they make it possible for him to continue solving mysteries but because he genuinely cares about them.
There is, of course, more to Fred’s character than that, but I feel like these are the things about Fred that make the strongest impression and one could likely play a bit looser with some of the other things. I don’t think any of these traits are inherently racial portrayal of masculinity.
I don’t believe the visual representation of Fred in terms of clothing or styling is intrinsically white either. First off, especially in a more modern take, hair dye exists and is easy for basically anyone to get and use if they’re near a pharmacy. Even if someone wanted to keep Fred’s blonde hair, there’s no reason he needs to be white for it.To be quite frank though, I think simply a lighter shade of hair than most of the rest of the cast would do if you wanted to keep him visually brightest all the way up.
The clean white shirt, ascot and bell-bottoms is a dated look for sure, but again, I don’t know why that has to be worn by a white person even if you wanted to keep the ascot. I can think of several reasons why someone might wear an ascot in this day an age. Such as being from a very conservative or religious household that wants their children to look well done up, or perhaps being from from a less privileged group (ex: an impoverished person) in an environment run by and largely catered to a more privileged group (ex: a private school) where to avoid discrimination looking well-dressed is important. Perhaps both.
Alternatively, people can just enjoy wearing ascots regularly. People like that do exist.
[Edit] was talking with a friend and they mentioned Fred always struck them as blue collar. AND WOULDN’T YOU KNOW IT HIS COLLAR IS BLUE. So definitely not rich, jot that down.

Hi Mei, so i got a question on previous ask i asked ehich where your favorite characters in fiction but do you have a favorite antogonist/villian? In my case same as before i got a 10 top along with honorable mentions
1. Joker (DC comics)-The clown prince of crime and arch nemesis of Batman. One of the most iconic villains of the DC universe and for good reasons. He killed the second robin aka Jason Todd by beating him with a crowbar after luring him an abandon warehouse. After he qas done he set bombs to make sure the job was done. Paralized Batgirl by shooting her. The fact that Joker doesn't have superpower is crazy considering he killed millions. One of the things i find scary about him is his insanity. He does these thing because he thinks it's funny and that life is a joke. He also doesn't have a definiteve origin story the closest thing we have of his backstory is Batman: The killing joke. Fun fact the injustice universe in a world where superman turned evil was basically the Joker's fault. He tricked superman into killing is wife and unborn child.
2. Green Goblin (Marvel Comics)‐ The amount of thing he has done to make Spider-man life as miserable as possible is insane. Norman Osborn the first Green Goblin was the one who threw Gwen Stacy of the bridge. This cause the death of one of Peter's life interest something that messed him up badly.
3. Lex Luthor (DC comics)- Superman's worse enemy. Funny enough one of the reason why Lex hate superman soo much is because he doesn't want humanity to rely too much on him because he thinks it will make them weak. Intelligent, caculating and ruthless he is dangerous to no end and the fact he is one of the smartest character in the DC universe adds danger.
4. Michael Myers (Halloween franchise)- The big bad and iconic horror character. I find him terrifying for one fact only. He is Pure evil and silent. This was stated a number of times during the halloween franchise. He is silent never once spoken and he kills for no reason.
5. Freddy Krueger (A nightmare on Elm street)- the dream demon of the nightmare on elm street series. He is sadistic, powerful and inevitable in some ways. He hunts his victim on dream and if you die on the dream is game over on real life. The fact that he proyect your worse nightmare and takes pleasure in it makes it worse.
6. Jason Voorhees (The friday 13th franchise)- Another silent killer and Iconic figure in the horror genre. To an ugly bullied kid to a silent vengeful murder. He stalks and ends his victim especially if they set foot on camp cristal lake. Unlike other killers he doesn't kill animals nor children.
7. Light Yagami (Death Note)- For me Light Yagami is somewhat difficult for me on where should i put him. To a once well intention student to an egomaniac with God complex. At first he had good intentions but the more people he wrote on the death note the more he stray from the way. He even beytrayed the people who helped him the most. In the manga his death was pathetic honestly compared to the anime even the shinigami (Japanese Death God) Ryuk said it.
8. Johan Liebert (Monster)- This man is the definition of a monster. A very cunning manipulator who wishes to be the last person on earth. This quote from him that said "The only thing that humans are equal in is death". One of the episodes he nearly made a child unalive himself but showing him the worse in humanity. Luckly the child was save but the protagonist and another character. But the episode was extremely disturbing and he has no value for life unlike the protagonist.
9. Lord Voldermort aka Tom Riddles (Harry Potter franchise)- This man made te wizard world so afraid that people didn't even want to say his name. Evil, smart and powerful antogonist one that shouldn't be underestimated i find him intriguing especially his background.
10. Darth Sidious(Star Wars)- This man his basically responsible for everything to the clone wars to the near extinction of the jedi. Cold, calculating, sadistic and powerful. He is basically one of the reason why Anakin became Darth Vader and Why Yoda's padawan Count Dooku became evil.
Honorable Mentions
Otto Apocalypse( Honkai Impact 3rd)-One of the most unique villains i came across manipulative and culling. Resposible for a lot of the main cast suffering he is one of the most interesting characters i've seen. Despite everything he is very complex, I personally don't think he wanted Kallen to love him back. I think he wanted her to live since he saw that she was the best of humanity.
Darth Vader (Star Wars)- His presence cause a great deal of intimidation. Ruthless, powerful and Merciless. The Fallen Hero has alot of body count during his time as a Sith Lord.
Megatron (Transformers series)- A miner to a founder of the decepticons. He as the mentality peace through tyrany. One of the big bad of transformers he has even manage to killed Optimus back in the old cartoon movies. Althoug his Idw version he was redemed most version of him are evil and cruel.
Shockwave (Transformers)- this decepticon is a scientist with a cold devotion to logic. Even Megatron is cautious of him as he is one the strongest deception in the series.
Madara Uchiha (Naruto)- He as good intention but poor execution. He is basically the smoke demon on naruto. Fought the entire Shinobi allience and went toe to toe with the first hokage. This man has one of the most iconic quotes of all naruto and i love his character.
Pinhead (Hellraiser)- a demon who find pleasure in pain and nothing else. Sadistic and extremely poweful cenobite (basically demon)
I'm way too much of a scaredy cat to watch horror movies, but knowing that Jason doesn't kill animals instantly makes him my favorite serial killer. Like yes, I hate everybody, but animals? They're just following their instinct and trying to survive! Honestly, I would've put Light here if the way the show ended wasn't so... pathetic. Here are the villains I can think of from the top of my head, though.
Spot (Spiderman ATSV) - He appears to be silly and goofy at the start, but I think he's a really good representation of how heroes unknowingly hurt the very people they were trying to save. He lost his job, his life, and even his face because of what Miles did, even though he was just an innocent bystander. I also really felt it when he said this: "You make your flippy, little sassy jokes, and everyone loves them, but no one knows what it feels like... to be on the other side of them."
HoT Raiden Mei (HI3) - Not sure if she's considered a villain, but an antagonist is defined as someone/something that stops the main character from reaching their goals (Kiana trying to sacrifice herself for the world,) so...
Lament of the Fallen is definitely my favorite Honkai CG. The animation, the music... everything was done perfectly. Kiana was willing to sacrifice herself for the world, and Mei was willing to sacrifice the world for Kiana.
Otto Apocalypse (HI3) - Other than what you said, I think his character shows that no one is perfectly evil or kind. There is bad in the good, as well as there is good in the bad. He performed human experiments for medicine to save more people. Despite having done a lot of horrible things, he was a kind leader and an even kinder grandpa. I too, would also spend 500 years and risk everything in the world and the universe itself to revive a girl that doesn't give a shit about me.
Mei Mei (JJK) - I don't care if she's not a villain, I hate her with my whole being. Sincere and kind people like Nanami always get treated like shit when selfish pricks like her get to enjoy all of the benefits of others' hard work. I can't say much because it'll be a spoiler, but I hate her from the bottom of my heart.
Makima (CSM) - In the end, all she wanted was a family to call her own.

Ranking all the scream movies but it's probably highly controversial (expect my number one)
1. Scream (OG)
Nothing beats the OG and no Ghostface will ever come close to Stu/Billy. The combination of these two was literally it. A crazy guy + a dude that wants revenge and goes crazy in the process? Nothing beats them. They are the duo and they're combination that was not only the most iconic but they are also just so great killers. They planned it but their charisma added to the psychotic aura of it all. Not to mention the iconic characters that were in this movie and the relationship that were actually really explored in this.
2. Scream 3
People love to hate this movie but Roman was literally such a great Ghost face. That whole plan? This could easily be even higher but they kind of underdeveloped him a bit and he still is better than almost 90% of the others. I wish we had gotten a meeting or a backstory between him and Syd more and he deserves to be in another movie (besides Stu) because holy shit be was so interesting. Not to mention the solo ghost face? He is quiet literally technically the best ghost face but God was he also such an interesting character. Yeah maybe the movie set wasn't that great but it was so interesting to show how the public would actually realistically treat an event like this. Not to mention it truly also showed how everyone struggled and was not really fully coming to terms with it. This movie was a banger eventhough it had some of the most interesting side characters.
3. Scream 2
Honestly a great movie eventhough there were some cringe scenes. The motive of Miss Loomis? Genuinely solid and reasonable in a fucked up way. Mickey? Icon. Motive didn't really make sense but he popped off so hard.
Only thing that makes this movie bad really are some cringe scenes but then again they fit really well honestly when you consider this is Syd basically catching up on teenage nonsense. Oh and Randy should have survived but I am kind of still a bit weirded out by his character so I am not to saddened by it. Although I would love the plottwist of him being alive and being hidden somewhere to come back with Stu. (I am delulu.)
Would be higher because the story actually slaps but I love Roman way too much to put this higher.
4. Scream 6
I don't like this movie necessarily but there were some really cool sequences and actually interesting storylines plus they developed an actual plotline. Don't like the Ghostfaces in this (probably the least out of all the actual ones in the movies main story line) but actually interesting change up from the usual two ghost faces. Plus some of the shoots were so amazing and no one can deny that. The sequences they did with this really popped off. Are there many flaws? Undoubtedly (the plot armor for Chad is literally unreal and compares to no one in the franchise.) But sometimes I am blinded by the incredible chases they had for this so there's that.
5. Scream 4
Jill and Charlie's are just flat compared to other killers. Charlie sure is a brutal killer but his entire personality is bland to me. I feel like where as in the others at least had something going for them, he just made me feel literally nothing. He invoked no emotion in me and that is literally the worst thing he could do especially when we know how much he actually did as ghost face.
That love thing is also just such a boring excuse for a killer and Jill is just uninteresting to me personally. She was crazy but just in an unejoyable way that I couldn't bother to understand because her motive was bad/boring. Jealousy? Crayzness and fame? It just felt like people have shown different reasons for her but also want to claim she is as crazy as Stu but then she wouldn't need a motive yet people seem to justify her actions by something? It just seems like people like to praise her as the smartest when the reality is that was Roman. Yes she would have been far closer where the others not protected by plot armour but I just had no fun seeing her succeed as the killer where at least the others made me root for them sometimes in a "I want to see what it would be like if they won" kind of way.
I only rate it higher because the fifth movie was for me even more predictable than this one and frankly ass for me.
6. Scream 5
Amber and Richie are just so boring. Genuinely don't get the hype for them. Richie was just weird and had no charisma to him. Dude literally is just a walking red flag. Amber was just some wannabe Stu and people don't want to accept that. Dewey should have survived that movie. His death was literally so unsatisfying and you are telling me that the dude who survived everyone else was overpowered by some wannabe shits. You are giving him that plot armor to take it of not by someone who genuinely could overpower him like Roman, Nancy (a mother with rage has unbelievable strength) or Mickey but Amber or Richie? Please that is the most unrealistic thing.
And I hate the entire Billy's daughter plotline. Not to mention the fact that it is setting up to explore some dark side yet she keeps getting excused for her brutal kills? The way she slaughtered Richie is literally not normal. The OG 3 survivors killed to safe their lives but she is literally doing the same shit her father did. If she just slashed his throat sure but the way she attacked him multiple times? That's not a survivor that's a killer.
And Richie/Amber once again were obvious. Richie literally was weird from the beginning and no one would actually trust him.
There's also the fact that they basically just gave the plot armour to Chad and Sidney surviving this was almost as unrealistic as Scream 4.
This also started this weird family of victims/killer thing (technically it was 4 but this was the true start) something that was just such a bad storyline to me I could not enjoy.

It's sad that "adult animation" in the US is mostly immature Family Guy & Rick & Morty comedy clones. Adventure Time, a show aimed at children, handled heavy themes with much more maturity than most "adult' animated shows. Sometimes having limits on your creative process brings out better stories than just relaying on "edgy" shock humor that quickly grows stale and fails to shock, it's just boring. I'm not saying a series can't sometimes have those things but I'm just tired of series where's it's nothing but those things which are overused and loses all impact. Even Family Guy & Rick and Morty started off as good series but over time just kept lazilly relying on their own tropes and became shadows of their former selves. Peter Griffin started off as a caring Family Man who faced problems that threatened his family as a whole and he did genuinely acted like a human being, now he's just an amoral sociopathic a-hole who acts like he genuinely despises his family. Sure he did wacky things but there was a balance, now the show is just a joke delivery vehicle for references and the plot is inconsequential. Rick Sanchez started off as a wacky mad scientist Doc Brown parody but he actually cared about Morty, Summer & Beth. Now he's an all powerful god king scientist and routinely says nothing matters and is practically a villain spreading misery and death wherever he goes. Even worse the new season seems to be revisiting old episode's settings instead of something new, franchise fatigue has definitely set in. If the main character doesn't care why should we? Where is any sense of conflict or narrative stakes when Rick can just magic science his way out of any situation because he is literally the smartest being in the multiverse pretty much being an all powerful god? Conflict is the essence of drama and what drives all fiction. I really don't care to see an episode where the writers tell us how stupid heist movies are or call out the narrative tropes to Die Hard. That isn't clever or interesting and quite frankly is super off putting and just shows how far up their own asses they are. I feel like the writer's are running out of science-fiction ideas to mimic & mock, they should read some Arthur C. Clarke, Robert A. Heinlein, Phillip K. Dick and others. Having an episode centered around the 3 laws of robotics is more interesting to me than whatever pop culture pet peeve Dan Harmon has. And take this with a grain of salt these are just my personal opinions & observations and in no way am I saying my way is the only one true correct way or interpretation.

Bobby’s Playdate Part 3
Part 1, Part 2
Tumblr media
The pandemic is keeping Tom idling in London by himself. One positive is that wearing the mask helps him avoid recognition, allowing him to wander in the park with his dog, Bobby. On one of their walks, Bobby becomes smitten with a dog named Lulu and Tom is equally enchanted by her human. Can the Hiddleston men manage to find a way to see the lovely ladies again?

He was being a right arse, and what was worse he knew it.
Tom grimaced as he stirred his bolognaise sauce. So, she knew who he was, and had all along – what did that really change? Why did it make him so uncomfortable that she hadn’t said anything? After all, he had known as well and he certainly hadn’t brought it up. Was he upset that she had known and hadn’t fawned all over him? Could he really be that shallow? He had liked that she was just herself, allowing him to be himself as well. What was it then that was bothering him?
The timer rang for the pasta and he reached over to grab the oven mitt that usually hung by his stove and grimaced. Of course, he had put it away in the closet because it had a big, red Avengers logo on it. All of that running around he had done, stressing out Bobby and working up a sweat, and it had all been entirely pointless. He felt like the biggest idiot of all time.
Which was the problem, of course. Tom was used to being multiple steps ahead of everyone. He wasn’t conceited about it, well, not exactly, but he was quite often the smartest person in the room. He credited his teachers and a topnotch education, as well as his family of course, more than his own keen powers of observation. He had simply been taught from a young age how to think. It was an invaluable tool as an actor. It also meant that he was often left waiting for others to catch up. He was not, decidedly not, used to being the one feeling foolish for being wrong.
Yup. He was a complete and total arse.
Here he had a beautiful woman in his home, when he had begun to despair of such a thing ever being allowed again, much less happening. She was smart, charming, funny, and kind enough to realize that being a celebrity must be exhausting and discussing it could get tedious. And how had he repaid her for her consideration? By running out of the room and leaving her doubtless wondering at his manners, if not his sanity.
Tom dipped a spoon in and tasted the sauce. This had better be the best meal he had ever made if he wanted to make up for the mess he had made of things so far!
“Everything okay in here?” Leia’s voice asked from the kitchen doorway as Tom was using a tea towel to carry the pasta pot to the strainer in the sink.
“Aside from you spending the evening with a complete prat, everything is fine,” he said with a self-depreciating laugh.
“You know, there are things called oven mitts,” she grinned at him. “Maybe we should go online and order you some.”
“I have them,” he sighed. “I put them away for tonight.”
“So you could experiment with first degree burns? Is that research for a role or something?”
“They were… branded.”
“Like a cow?” she blinked at him.
“No… like Marvel. Avengers branded. So, I hid them.”
“Tom,” Leia was obviously trying to hide a grin that tugged at the edges of her mouth, “did you hide all your movie memorabilia before I came over? Is that why your house looks like the display room from an upscale furniture store rather than a lived-in home?”
“Maybe,” he mumbled, face turning red as he looked back at the stove.
“That must have been a lot of work. How long did it take you?”
“Most of the day. What are you doing?” he asked at the strange contortions her face was making.
“Trying to visualize the reverse scavenger hunt. Hold on…” she scrunched up her nose and he could see her picturing his lunacy in her mind. “Okay, that was fun!”
“Glad I could amuse you,” he grumbled.
“As every good host would be!” she grinned at him. “And then Lulu went and ruined it by digging up the Loki toy. Well, leave it to the Trickster God to upset the best laid plans. But really, is it such a big deal that I know?”
Tom closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. She really was being sweet about the whole fiasco of his running into the house. Perhaps, if he could regain some of his own composure, it didn’t have to be the biggest fumble in the history of first dates. He just had to take a cue from her and try to find the situation amusing rather than humiliating.
“It is not,” he said at last. “Thank you for taking it all so well. Now, dinner is almost ready, I just need to put it on the plates.”
“My I use the loo then?” she asked.
“Of course. Second door on your right.”
“Thanks. I’ll meet you back outside. Oh, and be careful – Lulu may look innocent, but she will steal any food off your plate if you turn your back on her!”
“Wonderful, then she and Bobby will have even more to bond over,” he remarked, rolling his eyes.
“Between the two of them we’ll be lucky if there’s any food left for us.”
“Good thing I made extra then.”
“Oh, before I go – there are still hand towels in the bathroom, right? They didn’t get squirreled away for having horns on them or something?”
“No, the hand towels are purely Only Lovers Left Alive, and I assumed that was enough of a deep dive to keep any but the most ardent fan in the dark.”
“You’d be surprised, people love a good vampire flick!” she teased, as she headed off down the hall.
Tom took another steadying breath. So, she not only knew of him from the Avengers franchise, and from the London stage, but she had seen at least one of his indie films as well. Which meant, he suddenly realized, that she had seen more of him than he had realized. Squirming a bit, he plated the food and carried it outside. He would be sure not to bring up high rise, he decided. He had heard rumors about people pausing the playback on a certain scene, and he preferred to stay in the dark about her exposure to that.
By the time Leia joined him out at the table, Tom had managed to calm down a bit. He would have needed to tell her about his job eventually any way; at least now he could enjoy the rest of the evening without the fear of her reaction hanging over his head. The food had served up nicely, and he poured a friendly serving of wine into each of their glasses. Bobby and Lulu were already sniffing around at his feet, hoping for clumsy hands to drop offerings to their greedy mouths.
“Back off you two hellions,” he told them good naturedly. “Haven’t you already done enough damage tonight to the possibility of my getting a second date?”
***
Leia froze in the doorway, eyes going large. Had she heard that right? Had Tom just used the word date to describe the evening?
She had hoped it was a date, of course. She had even called it one to herself and her dog as she was getting ready. Still, she had not quite been able to convince herself that it was anything more than what he had sold it as – a playdate opportunity for their canine companions. After all, a handsome, charming, world famous movie star such as him could date anyone. Why would he want to be with her when the entire glamourous world was his for the taking?
Looking down, she realized that her hands were shaking. His befuddlement at the discovery of his identity had been charmingly adorable, and it had the wonderful side affect of allowing her to feel less awkward herself to see him so out to sea. It gave her back a modicum of power. That was gone now with one word from him that she was not even meant to hear.
“Oh, hi!” he smiled, seeing her in the door and standing up like the perfect gentleman he was despite their outside, casual location. “Dinner’s served.”
“It smells divine,” she told him, and rolled her eyes inwardly at the gushing word.
“Well, I am a God you know,” he smirked, and then blushed and looked embarrassed.
What was happening? They had been so comfortable outside in the park! Just two regular adults enjoying each other’s company and the relatively fresh air of suburban London. Now though, now that she knew he meant it as a date, and he knew she knew he was an actor it was all awkward.
“So, do you have any mischief in mind for tonight?” she asked.
“I suppose that depends on how the night goes,” he gave her a devastating wink.
Wait, was he flirting with her now? Ack! She didn’t know what to think, but her body certainly responded to that comment. Wanting a distraction, she shoved a forkful of pasta in her mouth and let out an involuntary moan of pleasure at the delicious taste.
“Is it okay?” he asked, despite her clear approval of his efforts.
“It’s amazing!” she told him, as soon as her mouth was empty. “Jesus Tom, on top of everything else you can cook too?”
“Eh heh heh heh,” he laughed, obviously delighted. “I’m afraid I am full of flaws, but I will do my best to hide them from you for as long as possible. I’m glad you like it.”
“You’ll have to give me the recipe!” she demanded, taking a long drink of the wine that paired perfectly with it.
“Ah no. If I do that, what incentive will there be for you to come back?”
“I don’t think you have to worry about that,” she looked up at him over her wine glass. “After all, Lulu is having such a good time, she would never forgive me if I deprived her of more free time with Bobby.”
“Right. Yes. Lulu and Bobby.”
“It’s why we’re here, after all,” she shrugged, not knowing why she was pushing it so hard.
“Oh, I almost forgot!”
Tom shot out of his chair, startling the dogs who both started yipping in irritation. He jogged into the house, and a moment later came out with a beat’s pill speaker in hand. Placing it on the table, he fiddled with it until music straight out of a café in Venice started crooning out of it.
“The perfect final touch!” he said proudly.
“I can almost see the canal in the distance!” she told him with a laugh.
“I would pole you out, but I’m afraid my boat is not handy.”
He suddenly blushed again, and Leia had a quick flash of where his mind had gone. They both turned crimson and occupied themselves with the food for a few minutes in charged silence.
Leia could feel the tension sparking between them, but she had no idea how to act upon it. She could not think of any time in her past where she had been in a similar situation. How could she have been, when she had never met a man in her life like the one sitting across from her.
The song switched to a slower song, still Italian, and she noticed that Tom was tapping his fork against his plate in rhythm with it. He noticed her gaze and chuckled, eyes twinkling.
“You should see me with spoons,” he told her.
A moment later, he was on his feet again (really, he seemed incapable of sitting still tonight) and placing his napkin on his chair. Holding out one hand to her he raised his eyebrows in question.
“May I have this dance?”
As Leia hesitated, he face fell. Stepping back, Tom put his hands behind his back and dropped his head apologetically.
“I am so sorry,” he rushed to say. “I completely forgot. Of course, we are in the middle of a pandemic. The last thing we should be doing is dancing. Hands touching, standing close together. I am so, so sorry.”
“Tom, Tom!” Leia interrupted his contrition. “Stop apologizing! If I was concerned about catching the virus from you, I wouldn’t be eating the food you cooked! We both got tested, remember?”
“Are you sure, because you didn’t look –“
“I was worried about crushing your feet,” she admitted, stepping towards him. “I am not exactly what you would call graceful.”
“Well, I am hardly Baryshnikov,” he demurred. “But if you’ll allow me…”
He offered his hand again, and this time Leia took it. It was the first time they had touched, and she almost jumped at the spark that passed from his fingers to hers. His grip was firm, and he drew her in so that she was held firm against his chest. His other arm came around to rest his hand on her lower back, and she had to remind herself to breath as she was held in his embrace.
“Look at me,” he said as she obeyed instantly. In part it was because it was what she wanted to do, but it was also a reaction to the note of command in his voice. Even though it was soft, there was a note in it that was to be obeyed. “Good girl.”
As he led her around the little yard in what she realized was a waltz, Leia felt her last bit of restraint melting away. She wanted this man desperately and there was no denying it. His hips moving against her, his hand burning a hole through her dress, his low singing along with the song, it all had her ready to drop to her knees and beg him to take her.
“I love dancing,” he said, stating the obvious. “Especially with the right partner.”
“Sorry you’re missing that,” she tried for humor.
“Quite the contrary,” he didn’t rise to the bait, looking her straight in the eye and keeping his voice serious. “I can think of no one else I would rather be dancing with. You must know that you are all that has made the last month bearable. I look forward to our afternoon walks more than I can say.”
“Me too,” she whispered, tongue swiping over her lips. She saw his eyes flicker to them and then return to hers slightly darker.
Her breath caught and she was certain that he was going to kiss her when a loud crashing noise brought them both up short. Spinning around, they saw Tom’s plate laying on the ground, Lulu and Bobby shamelessly sharing the spoils of their raid like a modern day Lady and Tramp.
“Bobby! Bad dog!” Tom barked, advancing on them.
“Oh, Lulu! You naughty girl!” Leia scolded at the same time.
As Tom advanced on them, the dogs took off in the direction of the tree, trailing sauce in their wake. Tom stomped after them, eyes narrowed while Leia picked up the plate and mopped up some of the mess with his napkin.
“Bobby, stay!” Tom snapped, snapping his fingers.
Bobby dropped to his haunches with a whimper while Lulu headed back towards Leia and the remaining food.
“You too, sit girl!”
He snapped again and Leia, on sheer instinct, set the plate down with a clatter and sat on the chair, hands folding in her lap and eyes looking up towards him, Lulu sitting at her feet.
Tom’s face, facing her, went completely still for one long moment. Leia could feel a nervous energy rise in her stomach until a slow, Cheshire cat smile spread across his face. The dogs forgotten, he looked at her with a sparking intensity that made her weak as he crossed to where she sat.
“Well,” he drawled, “isn’t that interesting.”

I think Metroid is a GREAT source of inspiration when it comes to Bionicle fan works and even reinterpretations. Specifically in how the setting so effortlessly combines sci-fi and technology with mysticism and spirituality, a divine reverence for nature and the cosmic mysteries beyond;
So then you’ve got cloning and radiation and killer AI, but also actual ghosts, visions of the future, and apparently some sort of wrathful war deity whose trial you have to pass. DNA is a big deal but there’s still explicit acknowledgement of the soul and how irreplaceable it is. Laboratories are placed right beside unironic shrines and temples. It’s a seamless blend and really, the Chozo are my ideal depiction of what the Great Beings should be imo;
There is something compelling about the wondrous yet extremely fallible scientists, sure. But while we joke about how mad they are, the impracticality of a lot of the Great Beings’ work can sometimes feel frustratingly incompetent. And I think the ‘Chozo’ route is a good balance between the original depictions of the Great Beings as divine gods, and then later as brilliant mortals.
Just, the Chozo being incredibly geniuses, but also peaceful and attuned to nature... In awe and reverence of the wonders of life, equating stuff like the X parasites to demons, or regarding Phazon as an evil scourge. Even Raven Beak is said to ‘worship at the altar of power’, the Chozo see science and magic as two sides of the same coin. They believe in a real afterlife, but while all of this supernatural stuff is intertwined with science, it’s never reduced to just another form of science nor vice-versa.
It’s great, there’s prophecies and enlightenment, the Chozo failed in many ways but you can tell how much they clearly cared and tried. Their understanding of technology AND acknowledgement of the supernatural aspects of reality was what allowed them to ascend in a lot of ways... Even if they were still mortal, alas- Not wanting to roboticize as a means of immortality, because they valued life as a real and mystical force, hence their respect for nature and obligation to do good.
Really, their expertise in science and technology helped them appreciate and understand this more naturalistic view of reality- Rather than foster skepticism. The fact that they never lost that respect for nature because of their advancements, and if anything continued to revere them more so (because the smartest person knows how ignorant they are) is great. Being enlightened didn’t make them arrogant but instead appreciate a lot more their place in a vast universe, and subsequently the role and beauty of everything else.
(Also... One could put parallels between Phazon and Energized Protodermis as eldritch transformative substances that are alive, as part of that wider comparison of the franchises as a whole.)

Hi there! I have a bit of a strange request for you, if that's okay. I'm currently in the process of planning/writing a longer Star Fox fic that prominently features Panther, and by extension, the FoxPanth ship, and I was wondering if you could give any pointers on writing Panther and/or him and Fox together?
This isn't strange at all! I'm even delighted, like, someone asking me about a pairing that I originally thought almost no one else would enjoy, and so they can write it too? It's like a dream, my gosh!
Give me one more second, like, I'm so amazed that this happened with my rare pair for Fox/Panther. FOXPAN! Of all pairs, I'm thrilled!
Ok, ok! Let's see what advice I can scrounge up for you.
A lot of people are under the impression that Panther is a pretty clear cut character in one regard or the other, but he actually offers a lot of flexibility to write about. That's probably why I gravitate to using him so often for Star Fox content.
Writing him playing off of Fox has a surprisingly enjoyable kind of chemistry, but it depends on what you go for with them. Coming to me means that you're in for the shipping, so, that I can help with!
Kind of prefacing that a bit because I know this is going under a cut, which I'm adding in here. More below, of course! Also, it's going to be a lot longer than you're expecting, so...I'm hoping that helps!
...
~Panther's Background~
Ok, I'll start with Panther as a character, since understanding how you want to portray him is the first part to nail down right.
People kind of mistake Panther to be a flat villain and a basically a pervy flirt, nothing more needed to build his character. It's easy to write him off as such, given how little canon support the games give.
There are some very, very crucial elements that he's given with his appearances, however, and they tend to be overlooked.
First and foremost, a lot of folks like to lump Panther in as "just another Star Wolf crony," which is fair if you don't focus on him.
However! What's critical that too many people ignore is that, in Panther's debut appearance, that's a brand new Star Wolf too. With the story for Star Fox: Assault being what it was, Panther is part of the Star Wolf team that no longer operates as mere mercenaries for the main villain and the obvious rival team, but he's part of a team that becomes allies to Fox and friends by the endgame.
Anyone can take that any way they want, but Panther is basically part of the lightest and kindest, perhaps even the most fleshed out version of Star Wolf. So, people that gleefully like pairing Fox off with Wolf because he has those "hey pup" lines? They should very well like the roster from Assault, because that's the installment that gave the most credibility to Wolf even being capable of defecting.
There's a lot of ways that it could be explained, but notably, Panther is the new big member on the main roster. Sure, they could fill a seat with anyone, but look at who they chose: this lighthearted goofball that enjoys playing with his rivals as much as he does causing trouble. A far cry from the likes of Leon, Pigma, and Andrew, who were on the more ruthless side of Star Wolf.
Many like Panther to be along that side too, and depending on how you want to characterize him, that could work out.
My personal preference, however, is that Panther is part of the catalysts that helps Wolf defect from being fully evil.
He's less interested in hurting civilians and being some kind of hotshot assassin. There's no hard support that Panther's criminal record involves heavy war crimes and murder, and canon biographies about him state him to be an elusive criminal that troubled Cornerian army officials.
Rather, Panther is entertained by causing mischief and enjoys playing around. He's cunning, but in ways to further his goals and those of his allies, not to play as a pawn in another's schemes.
I like to create the background that Wolf and Leon got low and desperate when searching for new recruits, and after meeting up with Panther, they adopt similar traits from him, easing up on their rougher traits in favor of getting their work done.
Basically, I favor the idea that Panther helped make Wolf better. (Which is totally a fun basis for Wolf/Panther, something that I've wanted to write for a few years too, lol.)
~Characterizing Panther~
It really depends on what you're doing with writing him, because you can make him a criminal even still and have that work nicely. However, I tend to give him ways out of being locked into a shadier background, focusing on his lighter traits, and making him more of a "gentleman thief" type of character foremost.
(For reference, I made him that kind of a thief in my fanfic, "Your Thieving Heart," because I really enjoy the idea that Panther's a cat burglar, as opposed to...well, whatever other people prefer.)
If you're focusing on an action or adventure story, I'd recommend using his craftier traits to help him stand out. Panther likes to play head games, because he'll tease and taunt his opponents, baffling them silly until they're clueless to his true motives.
He's also a skillful shot; in Star Fox: Command, Panther is the only playable character that does not use a Lock system for his Wolfen, which means that he makes a single shot that pierces most opponents. And in Assault, he makes a good support to both Star Wolf, and later on, Star Fox, so he can coordinate well in dogfights and combat too.
A story that's geared less to fighting, such as a drama or a comedy, would focus more on Panther's playful traits. Obviously his flirting, which I'll get to in a moment, but also, tweak the way that his playful and cunning manifests.
His teasing can be used to hide other facets of his character (maybe he's actually hurting and lonely deep down) or otherwise his goals (maybe he wants to get flowers for a partner and jokes about missing a meeting to do so).
His smarts can be used to show a more analytic or thoughtful side to him; while Panther isn't the type that would be the smartest in the room, he's absolutely underestimated by everyone, and can get away with a lot of surprises as a result.
Character flaws are pretty simple. Panther can be arrogant, so he can go a little too far touting his prowess and skill, as well as take his joking a little overboard without realizing when to back down. Since he is a criminal, he definitely has a less than luster past, which can hold him back, depending on how you want to write his criminal history. Also, I tend to think of him as a type that comes across charismatic and social, but in reality wants something quieter.
That last bit has support from a profile description in Command, which states that while Panther proclaims himself to be a "ladies' cat," he actually is known to fall "totally and completely in love" with his partner.
So, where people tend to limit him to being confident and flirty, that's the short and simple version to Panther. The deeper way to flesh his character out is to make him a hopeless romantic type, who craves and wants to find someone special to help fulfill his life.
Because a large portion of Panther's character gets limited to flirting with Krystal in his two major appearances, he's not given time to really show off the depths of his feelings. (I think Command tried, but that story got botched in a few too many places.)
He's not a misogynistic type, if I remember correctly, because he doesn't make any crude comments to berate or belittle Krystal's character, but rather, makes strong efforts to prime up his character instead, doing his best to come across as enticing and viable to her as possible.
Panther is super desperate and longing for love, and he's not above trying whatever methods he can to get there.
~Shipping With...Fox!~
So, how does Fox come into play on that? It's pretty easy, since Fox is also a flexible character as virtue of being the main player controlled character for the franchise. In other words, you can project a lot onto Fox in manners however you might like.
There are specific traits to Fox that remain part of his core character, however. He's obviously a strong leader, leading the legendary Star Fox team. If we go by Star Fox 64's ending, he's pretty humble, given that he turns down joining military ranks (presumably greater glory) to keep his life in a freer style with his contract work. (This gets played up as the series goes along, though Fox was actually pretty cocky in Star Fox 64, and somewhat so in Star Fox: Adventures as well.)
Given how his personality matures by the time of Star Fox: Assault and whatever went on with Star Fox: Command, Fox is something of a type that does abide by rules and doing the greater good type of work, but still retains some of his "off the books" or "go it alone" type of work.
So, since he's a hero that dances close to more lawful work, though still manages to find ways to slide around for what his objectives desire, that does make him a mostly "no nonsense" type, though on the friendlier and nicer side, of course. Fox can be portrayed as pretty orderly, in other words, and doesn't favor causing more trouble than he can handle, even if he's not above it.
Does that sound like something of an inverse to Panther, who tends to get into trouble and be mischievous? I should hope so!
Because they have foiled personalities from one another, that gives Fox and Panther elements of "opposites attract," since Panther can be silly and troublesome, while Fox tries to be serious and respectful. Panther has a shadier history with the Cornerian Army and his past is riddled with mystery and lack of depth. Fox, meanwhile, has staunchly strong and heroic ties with the Cornerian Army, who rely and count on his efforts to help them out. Additionally, he has a fair amount of his background explored as well, especially so compared to the enigma that is Panther.
Going by how flustered Fox gets in Star Fox: Adventures, Assault, and Command, he's also a bit sloppier in the romance department. He's seen as a stammering type, and shier around those that show interest in him, namely how Krystal does in the former two installments. He ends up being too protective of her in the last game included for that group, and kicks her from the team thinking that it was the safer option, when it really did nothing to stop her.
Those that ship Fox with Falco can also write him in angles to being oblivious to love, since Falco tends to be a bit harsh with Fox, which many like to write as him being guarded with his true feelings. So, combined with the information above, Fox is something of a romantic novice or rather inept at it.
Panther, whether he's actually good at romance or just likes to think he is, still comes across as an opposite to Fox on that level too. Whereas Fox falters and hesitates in romantic matters, Panther boldly strides forward to do his best in a quest for love.
There are some tricks to helping Fox and Panther work even better than just playing off of their foil traits however.
For starters: Both can be portrayed as very lonely souls.
Fox is a character that lost his parents at a young age, with his mother being out of the picture in every game installment, and his father dead before he's even 18. That's rough stuff, at least in my book. So, I'd consider that Fox has some isolated sides to his character that not everyone knows about, and that he has a side that grieves for his loved ones, and a side that longs to find a way to be loved and cherished in some manner once more.
Huh, does that sound familiar again? Someone that desperately wants to find love to fill a void in his life?
Oh wait, that's literally part of Panther's core too!
See, both Fox and Panther are seekers of love. While Fox may not be as forward with his intentions, he cares deeply for his team, his allies, and his planet, if not the entire Lylat galaxy. While Panther may not have such grand showings for compassion, he'd be the type that would be impressed, if not charmed, by someone so compassionate and caring.
If you take the idea that Panther helped make Wolf and Leon better, then it's likely that he also has a good deal of compassion in him too, seeing the best in people that the rest of Corneria and Lylat write off as the worst out there. Finding the light in the darkness is a kind of hopeful trait that Fox would absolutely be drawn to, since he can struggle to do the same.
Of course, both Panther and Fox are also skilled pilots, so, they have at least that much in common. Fox's skills are something that have outright impressed Panther in canon, and he compliments Fox a few times in both Star Fox: Assault and Star Fox: Command, commending Fox as his personal rival. It's not hard at all to shift that from mere respect to a deeper admiration.
Both are also very loyal and willing to see their goals through to the end. Fox proves this repeatedly in the games, but Panther shows such qualities in his appearances too, sticking by Wolf's side in spite of the challenges they face, and committing to his goals until they either are toppled enough to stop him, or until they are fully realized in a capacity that satisfies Panther well enough.
Typically, I like to mix things between "opposites attract" and "like attracts likes," to balance them out. Both Fox and Panther want to not be lonely and fall in love, to share their lives with someone. They're both also types that would be lonely in a crowd, though none are likely to suspect so, since they both come across confident and social enough to prove otherwise. Fox may find Panther's slippery side somewhat alluring, since he follows a freedom that Fox may sometimes wish he had from his more uptight and legacied life. Panther, meanwhile, might find Fox's loyalty and noble traits very endearing, because that means he'd firmly stand beside anyone that he committed himself to, something that Panther absolutely wants.
Naturally, you can play around with how you might like to portray them, based on the choices you'd make with your story, but those are some elements that I noticed and liked to help build it up.
While a lot of it is fairly made up with loose ties to canon, that's kind of the point to many fanfics. And even still, there is enough canon support to characterize Panther and Fox in a way that could make them a harmonized duo, to the point of romantic involvement.
Phew! Even I didn't realize how much I'd have to write about them until I actually put it all down, lol.
I do hope that you find this helpful. If you want any more information with building the pairing up for writing, please let me know! I'd love to increase the support that FoxPan gets out there, haha!
Thank you for asking too! This was a lot of fun to write out.

I'm here to ask about Corbeau.
Why I like them
For starters, I'm a big fan of her character archetype. IE: Evil, kind of just awful person who is actually a big sweetheart to their few loved ones. Also, she's very masc which I enjoy, it's something we don't see SUPER often in Magical Girl media. She is very handsome. You might know that I love birds too, so she gets bonus points for having a bird motif. Her power to use other people's magic reserves is pretty cool and interesting too. I think the battle where Riz had Tart take her Soul Gem outside of the range of Corbeau's power was probably one of the smartest fights I've read in a manga.
Also she's very attractive, I have type when it comes to fictional women and she's it
Why I don’t
I know she uses the serving girls she seduces into contracting to change her powers, but seriously, why did we never see her first contract/wish with Isabeau? Seriously, just a single page of flashback right before Minou kills her would have sufficed imo
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
That's a hard one, every scene she shows up in is a hit for me. I think the one that takes the cake though is after she routs the French at Orleans and convinces Minou and Lapin to leave things to her, she just starts singing a poem on the rampart about how the fun is about to begin. She's so fucking dramatic I love it
Favorite season/movie
I think Volume 4 of Tart Magica is the best content for us Corbeau likers, she is kind of the "main" villain for most of it until Minou kills her lmao
Favorite line
Need I even say it.
Tumblr media
Favorite outfit
Her MG outfit is really good, I love the cape and the pants, but I think the award goes to
Tumblr media
OTP
CorbRiz, baby!
Brotp
Corbeau and Lapin, obviously. They really are the best siblings, they love eachother so much it's sweet :)
Head Canon
Okay so this comes from a silly little AU I have where Corbeau gets isekai'd into modern times Kamihama, and she ends up really hitting it off with Sana because she reminds her of Lapin. Plus, Sana has someone to talk about medieval torture implements with now askhdkajsdh
Unpopular opinion
Not sure if I have one tbh, I think all my opinions about her are fairly uncontroversial? I can give you a hot take though! I really wish she turned coat and joined up with Tart and gang after Minou tries to kill her.
A wish
V-vampire Corbeau... 👉👈
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen
I *need* to know what her wish is. If the franchise ever ends without us figuring out I think I will become a ghost and haunt masugitsune
5 words to best describe them
Fierce, flippant, caring, alluring, charming
My nickname for them
In the fic I wrote for her (I still need to finish it...) I came up with the idea of her birthname being Marcelle. I really liked that.

I've heard of Snape/Hermione and Snape/Harry. What's your opinion about them? Why do people ship this? How did it even get in their heads? Not HATING, per se, just really really REALLY confused.
Personally, like I do with all things, I hate it.
But why I hate it and the reason other people like it are two entirely different things. Well, three entirely different things, maybe four.
So, with that, let’s begin.
Why Do People Ship Snape With Anybody?
So, what’s the deal with Snape? In the books he’s a petty man-child who spends his days tormenting children, acting as Dumbledore’s janitor, and lives a meaningless life with a nearly meaningless death.
However, remember, this isn’t quite who he’s supposed to be.
JKR presents him as a tormented and complicated man. Yes, he’s an asshole unreasonably bitter against the existence of a child, who when turning traitor to Dumbledore made it very clear he hoped James and Harry would die and Lily alone would be spared. However, ultimately Harry not only forgives him, but decides that Snape was secretly the bravest man he knows.
This is ingredient one: Snape is a complicated and tragic man who lived a miserable life.
Ingredient two: Snape is played by Alan Rickman in the film franchise.
Sure, they gave Alan Rickman the worst hair in the world, it’s not young Alan Rickman, and he acts like Snape. But he’s still Alan Rickman and he oozes charisma. He can’t help it. And while the Snape of the books was this gangly, greasy, bat like figure the movie version is not. When he speaks, you can’t help but listen to that voice. What I mean is you take Snape seriously in every moment. Even when he’s... Snape.
Ingredient three: Snape is one of the smartest characters in the series.
Harry Potter is a series filled with idiots, each one dumber than the last. Ask me to list powerful characters, I can only come up with eight, and really only three (one that I made up).
Snape, however, is a smart guy and is one of the only competent people in the country. This is why both Dumbledore and Voldemort rely on the same man exclusively who they know is a double agent. There is no one else.
It’s either him or you have to turn to Molly Weasley and Bellatrix.
Ingredient four: He was tragically dumped and angsts over this until he dies
Lily drops Snape like it’s hot. Personally, I agree with her, given what he said she absolutely had to cut ties. Many don’t and are very sympathetic to Snape. Or else they believe Snape has learned from his mistakes later (which.... probably not).
Regardless, Lily Evans moving on to greener pastures makes Snape sad and miserable. He was dumped by the hot chick, IF I DATED THIS MAN I WOULD NEVER DUMP HIM AND MAKE HIM SAD!
All of this combines into making Snape into the same tragic figure we see in Tyrion from “A Song of Ice and Fire”.
He’s very intelligent but utterly miserable, a true blue cynic, who (when fans put their mind to it) has a heart of gold underneath and all he needs is someone who can see how wonderful he is.
The difference being that fans make Snape sexy. No, seriously, I have read Hermione/Snape fics where she gushes about how amazing his hair is. I guess Hermione likes that grease (this is the sound of me shuddering).
Why Do People Ship Hermione and Snape?
This is a very common pairing archetype. It’s our strong, smart, female lead protagonist getting with the older, bitter, intellectual. They appreciate each other’s brilliance and have a Mature and Adult Relationship (TM) and remind the audience at every turn how they’re far more intellectual than the likes of Harry, Ron, and us readers.
They get together inventing some spell or some potion.
Snape discovers that Hermione actually is brilliant and not just a know-it-all brat. Hermione discovers that Snape has unfound depths because he was once dumped by Harry’s mother.
... I just explained why I hate it.
RIGHT.
People like it because it’s very.. Well, it’s Pride and Prejudice. This is very Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. She’s prejudiced, he’s proud, they circle around each other for a long time until they finally wind up together.
When it’s not that usually there’s some political mind games, the sort of thing you see in Dramione, The difference being usually this author thinks that Draco is what he actually is the books: a racist Richie Rich who goes around whining about his father. So, Snape becomes an older, more cynical, more complicated, and more sophisticated male lead instead.
The author usually makes some excuse about how it’s okay for Snape to have sex with his student. Either Hermione’s older now and it’s no longer an issue or... magic demands he marry a sixteen-year-old girl (seriously, I’ve seen this too).
Why Do People Ship Harry and Snape?
Rather than the two intellectuals getting together this is instead the Goodness of Harry (TM). Harry makes up for his mother’s flaws, he forgives and dates Snape and surpasses his shallow parents. Snape is awed and amazed by this boy he had brushed off as his father’s son, realizes Harry is his own person, and is desperately in love with him.
It’s a... sweet story. It’s about love, the goodness of Harry, and Snape learning how not to be a miserable bastard.
Of course, given my opinions on Harry, you know where I stand. Harry in canon is more likely to have murdered Snape himself in any given year of Hogwarts and asked Hermione to help him hide the body. They probably feed the dismembered limbs to Fang.
As for Snape, he loathes Harry’s entire existence. Harry being a douchebag like his father certainly doesn’t help, but just for having survived in Lily Evans’ place Snape would have loathed him entirely.
That, and Snape/Harry fics usually get weird with the surreal fluff and mpreg. So much mpreg.

Incest and fetishes are definitely sensitive subjects. However, thy posts are by no mean trying to make them 'alright' and clearly are not reflecting thine own personal opinion on the matter. It is simply Sharon being in character. Just because thou writest a character doing or saying something meaneth not that it is what thou wouldst do or think. Do all the people who roleplay as the characters always agree with their actions? No. Would the voice actors of the characters do the things their characters do in real life? Probably not. Are we, the fans, all sadists or masochists? Definitely not. When thou writest, playest or voicest a character, it meaneth not that thou agreest with everything they do and say. Because fictional characters are their own characters. Not their writers, actors or fans. I, for example, agree not with everything the character I recently did a voice over for sayeth. Nor do I agree with everything the characters of my novels do. This whole thing really remindeth me of how some fans of live action series hate on the actors who portray them. People need to grow up. It is like they are sitting around waiting for an excuse to hate on someone.
// While I do feel that some of the anon asks being sent out was the result of people simply seeking out drama (without them actually feeling offended at all by the original posts), I also don't want to completely rule out the possibility of someone being triggered or hurt by the topic.
I'm obviously a fan of the franchise and since I have been fortunate enough to not any personal traumas regarding some of the TW themes in the games, I've also stated on my translation blog before that I don't agree with Rejet's decision in regards to the rating the games have received. Haunted Dark Bridal in particular is INCREDIBLY dark and should come with a clear trigger warning on the box and an 18+ label. Just because all sex scenes are implied, does not mean that the game is suitable for minors AT ALL. :/
Unfortunately, Japan often holds very different values in this regard. Heck, just look at all the pornographic or semi-pornographic material being sold at anime/manga stores, which feature characters which are minors. (Ranging from high schoolers to downright CHILDREN). Sure, it's fictional and they're drawn characters, not actual minors, but it's still worth to ask yourself the question 'is this really okay?'
As someone who got into anime at the age of 12, the whole 'onii-chan' thing as being 'cutesy' and 'moe' has been kind of engraved into my memory and I honestly didn't think of all the implications it has. Like you said, I meant no harm when I wrote those posts as Sharon, but I also realize that it wasn't the smartest thing to do and I will try my best to be more careful around these kind of topics in the future. Even if this is a blog linked to a franchise which is full of triggers, I still want my followers to feel safe on this blog.
