Hey guys random but I wanna share this spinach pasta recipe I improvised the other day bc it's really east and tasty and a nice way to eat my greens... I've eaten it for the last several meals lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sauce recipe (1 serving)
fresh spinach several(3?) handfuls (blended with sauce)
oat milk ~1/3 c (or a diff unsweetened milk)
small pat of butter(flavor) + 3 spoonfuls olive oil
lots of black pepper + couple shakes garlic powder (or minced garlic)
tiny pat of miso/deonjang (if u dont have it, just add more cheese, or some salt to taste)
Lots of pecorino romano or parmesan cheese (or both)
+
more handfuls spinach to eat w pasta whole, opt (several/3 handfuls; keep in mind spinach shrinks a lot when cooked) (cooked in microwave, with sauce liquid)
more cheese, black pepper, parsley etc for serving
Note: need a blender to make the spinach sauce green. I used a small bullet blender. If you don't have a blender, just cook and eat the spinach pieces whole alongside the pasta instead of blending it w the sauce, like an alfredo cream sauce.
With whole spinach pieces:
>combine sauce ingred in tall, microwave safe bowl except spinach & cheese; microwave 30 sec to melt butter/miso and mix thoroughly
>add several handfuls of spinach to the sauce liquid; this is the whole spinach pieces.
>cover + microwave for 1 min /until the spinach leaves are completely wilted and tender but still green
if u dont have a blender you'd be done here (microwave longer to reduce, add more cheese/oil to make it thicker, etc)
>add 2-3 handfuls fresh spinach into bullet blender and pour in most of the sauce liquid; Blend until fully broken down into a creamy green sauce. (add a splash more milk if it's not blending)
>combine w rest of sauce in the bowl; add cheese and microwave 30+ sec more uncovered (*i add cheese at the end bc it's harder to blend with the spinach)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Without whole spinach pieces (just green sauce): combine all sauce ingred Including spinach into bullet blender; blend until fully combined; transfer to bowl & microwave 1 min + longer as needed to reduce (uncovered)
Pasta:
> boil pasta in salted water according to directions (go a min under and test if its cooked, for al dente pasta)
> drain + return to pot, add the sauce + stir
note: if doing this method u can also make the sauce in the same pot instead of using a microwave; after draining the pasta, leave it in strainer, and make the sauce in the same pot and simmer... turn up the heat to boil + reduce as desired, then add the pasta back in and stir until hot. (If i was making a bigger portion for multiple ppl i'd prob do this)
USING LEFTOVER COOKED PASTA (this is what i did, bc i had made a lot of pasta a few days ago, and had the leftovers stored in fridge):
> microwave pasta by itself in a bowl/plate for 1 min, covered
> add the hot sauce on top of hot pasta (microwave first if it's not hot enough)
(^i microwave sauce + pasta separately to ensure the pasta stays al dente btw... if u microwave sauce with pasta it gets soft)
(If making large batches ahead I'd store the pasta and sauce separately for the same reason... I'd prob do the same thing I did, make a large batch of pasta and then make the sauce right before eating... I just hate soft pasta tho so if u dont then dw abt it🫡 lol)
> Top w extra cheese, black pepper, parsley and serve/eat immediately!!

Tumblr media
SALADS -
carrot salad - carrots! carrots r an amazing source of vitamin A and isn't only beneficial for ur skin, but also ur eyesight, and ur immune system; for the recipe i'd wash a carrot and shave it, then add one cap of apple cider vinegar and olive oil, with salt and pepper and i'll eat that as a side dish along with my meal
cucumber salad - cucumbers r also an amazing source of hydration and is great for ur skin. just slice a couple cucumbers and add olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes
meditteranean salad - dice cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, and make a vinaigrette using lemon, olive oil, and salt and pepper and add those all together with some basil for a hydrating delicious salad
SNACKS -
pan con tómate - its simply toasted bread with oil, grated tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper
apple slices and peanut butter
frozen grapes with lime juice on top
literally any assortment of veggies with lime juice and salt
sliced fruit bowls with lemon juice
DINNERS -
how i make tofu - so i always use firm tofu and i'll dry it with a paper towel just to make sure that its dry (make sure to drain the excess water) and on a separate plate i'd add some flour, and seasonings of my choice. then coat the tofu in the flour and put it on a hot pan (approximately 5 min per side of tofu) or until its crispy, and then i'll make a sauce, usually with soy sauce, ginger and honey.
cucumber sushi - i'd wash and shave cucumbers, then take the shavings and lay them out as though it was wrapping paper (if that makes sense) then dry it with a paper towel so that the ingredients can stick onto it. then i'd fill it with sticky rice, sauces, tuna sometimes, or literally anything u wanna fill it with and then roll it up like u would do with sushi and cut it into pieces.
SANDWICHES -
sandwich one - take a hard boiled egg and break it down in a bowl, and add some mayo and mustard (trust) to create a paste like mixture. spread all that onto some bread. then add some lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.
BREAKFASTS -
overnight oats - in a container, add some oats, greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey, fruits of choice (i often use strawberries or blueberries) and almond milk and then shake that up and let it stay in the fridge overnight for an easy breakfast in the morning.
chia seed pudding - add three tablespoons of chia seeds into a container, half a cup of almond milk, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, and some honey (add coco powder if u like chocolate) and then put that in the fridge overnight.

The food ask,
🍇, 🥯, 🥙, 🍚, 🥕 (tried to do one from each category ( /)u(\ ) ) for Sera and Liliya <3
OOO! Best girls!! (don't tell the others I said that lmaooo) but I will HAPPILY answer for them! So for Sera and Liliya, here you go! And thank you for asking! 💖
Ask's Here
🍇 Does your oc prefer coffee, tea, or hot chocolate? Do they prefer them hot or cold? What would their usual order in a cafe be? SERA: Very much prefers tea, it's a lighter flavor to her and a more natural taste. She will take hot chocolate if there isn't any tea but that's rare. Both have to be hot and her order in a cafe is toasted milk bread with apricot jelly and butter. Of course paired with tea and any side of fruit if they have it!
LILIYA: Coffee or hot chocolate, sometimes actually leaning towards the hot chocolate! Either can be iced or blended with ice and the creamier the better. A regular order for Liliya would be a beetroot salad and a honey cake for dessert, likely with a blended coffee. She does like things sweet and the salad is usually just to get it!
🥯 What's their usual breakfast like? Do they eat breakfast, and if so, how regularly? Do they eat alone or with someone else? What would an ideal breakfast for them be?
SERA: Does not eat alone, and though she enjoys the company she's usually quiet- unless it's with either Rude or Reno. It's regular every morning as the Turks keep to their routines and she takes her usual which is a cup of green tea and a fruit sandwich. An ideal breakfast however would be somewhere in a little cafe among the crowd, blending in and being normal. [I just answered this one so I copied and pasted it!! LOL]
LILIYA: Eats alone and not by her choice. The food she usually takes is a warm cup of coffee and she eats kasha, which for her is usually oats boiled in milk with fresh fruit and honey on top. It's usually pretty regular as she has it as often as a few days out of the week and the other times it's just her coffee!
🥙 They are having a lunch date. Which place do they pick and what are they ordering? Do they hurry or would they rather be late from whatever happens after lunch?
SERA: Sera would pick a cafe again! It feels super safe to her and she would try something a bit different, maybe probably just another variation of fruit! She does not hurry and would rather take as long as possible. Reno and Rude indulge this with slight urgings to hurry of course but they never push it lol!
LILIYA: Unfortunately Liliya is not so lucky and lunch has always been rushed for her. So that just means something quick, light even, and it would be from somewhere fast paced. She doesn't have a preference for where or what the lunch date would be but just know there is more emphasis are returning home due to her father's strict schedule.
🍚 They have been invited for a dinner by someone close to them! Where are they going, what are they ordering, what are they drinking and what do they talk about?
SERA: Let's say for a moment that this time it was Rufus that invited her out, as usually it's only him that has been allowed to take out Shrina's asset save for the Turks, and it's likely at a fairly rich restaurant where both can sit together to talk. She is likely to order something fairly pricey and touch none of it, instead favoring the equally expensive drink provided. They talk but Sera is largely uninterested, Rufus doesn't really care, as it's more formal than anything. They used to be friends when they were younger and perhaps even closer than that but nowadays it's nothing like that. They've drifted apart and it's very obvious.
LILIYA: Liliya on the other hand is having the time of her life, she's allowed to go out and it's with her friends. They go to get something to eat really quick and instead hit the bar! She feels alive and it doesn't happen often so she's enjoying it as much as possible! They talk about everything that girls usually talk about and since they all know what her home life is like, her friends keep her entertained and they look for handsome men and women to flirt with! Her favorite to drink is anything mixed!!
🥕 They are packing some snacks because they're going to be away from home for a while. What do they take with them? What's their opinion on trail mix?
SERA: Fruit, it's literally always fruit. And this time it's pieces of cheese and crackers as well. She will happily take the trail mix!
LILIYA: Honestly what ever is just available and on hand! She likes trail mix just fine, it's not her favorite, but why not? Although she really likes chips- she REALLY likes chips.

The Chill of Autumn

SPENCER REID X PENELOPE GARCIA
read on ao3
Summary: Penelope and Spencer rake up leaves for her father, and she ends up finding out more about her girlfriend than she knew
Word Count: 1.3k
Category: angst, hurt/comfort
Content Warnings: blood, implied child abuse, self harm
A/N: oo my first garceid fic :)
“Why are we doing this anyway? Can’t your dad do it himself?”
“Yeah, but I promised him I’d rake the leaves as soon as they fell! He said he’s gonna give me $100 if I did it, and when I asked if I could do it with a friend, or girlfriend in this case, he said he’d give us both the money!”
Spencer and Penelope raked the leaves strewn about the backyard for around a half hour, and they each had a small pile on either side of the yard.
“It’s getting pretty cold, can we go inside?” Spencer asked.
“Yeah, sure, do you want some hot cocoa?”
“Mhm.”
The couple went into the house and Penelope boiled some oat milk and poured it into two mugs. She opens two packs of hot cocoa mix, marshmallows included of course, and empties them into each mug. Spencer sits on the couch, pulling down the sleeves of her sweater to warm up. Penelope sits her mug down on the coffee table in front of her, and sits next to Spencer with her own mug.
“You know, I think it might be getting dark soon, do you need to be taken home?” Penelope asked.
“Um, can I stay here overnight? I can help you out with the rest of the leaves in the morning.”
“What about your mom? Won’t she wonder where you are?”
“I can call her.”
“Okay, I guess you can stay then,” Penelope kissed Spencer’s forehead, and the two cuddled up.
For the rest of the night they watched Doctor Who and they baked cookies. Spencer borrowed some of Penelope’s pajamas and they slept together in the same bed, for the third time that week. In the morning, they had a breakfast of strawberries, eggs, bacon, and toast. Afterward, they finished raking up the leaves and Penelope’s father gave them their money. When Spencer left, she sat at the dinner table with her mom.
“What’s that look on your face hon? I can tell somethin’ is bothering you.”
“It’s Spence,” Penelope admitted, “She’s been sleeping over a lot recently, and I’ve been thinking, I’ve never been to her house before, and she keeps being super dismissive about her mom, I’m worried about her.”
Her mother sighed before speaking,
“Alright, I guess you’re old enough for me to tell you now,” She started, “Spencer’s mother, Diana, is schizophrenic. When you two first met Spencer gave me the number to their home phone, and when I called, I guess Spencer went to pick it up, but Diana stopped her and made her put the phone down. I didn’t hear most of the conversation, but after a couple minutes I heard a slap. After that, the line went dead. Ever since then, your father and I set up check-ins with her, just to make sure she and Spencer are safe. She’s had some pretty severe episodes a couple times, Spencer even had to live in a motel for a bit, but it hasn’t happened in a while. Diana hasn’t been responding to the check-ins for a day or two, have you seen any marks or bruises on Spencer at all?”
Penelope stopped and took a second to process everything before speaking,
“N-No, I don’t think so. She has been wearing long sleeves for the past few days but that might be just because it’s getting colder outside. Is she gonna be okay?”
“I hope so.”
Penelope’s mother held her hand and they sat for a moment, and then the silence was interrupted by the phone ringing. The mother got up from the table and picked it up.
“Hello?”
“I-It’s Spencer, um, m-my mom, sh-she’s gone,” Spencer’s voice said through tears.
“What do you mean hon? Is she not there? Did something happen?”
“Sh-She’s gone,” Spencer repeated, “I-I think she might be dead.”
“Hold on Spence, we’ll be right there, just tell me what happened. What do you see?” Penelope’s mom turned to her, “Penny, get the keys and go get in the car, I’ll be right there.”
“Why? What’s happening?”
“I’m trying to figure it out, just hurry!”
Penelope grabbed the car keys and ran out to the car while her mother stayed on the line with Spencer and slipped on some shoes.
“There’s blood everywhere. It’s all over the bed. I think she might’ve hurt herself. There’s a trail going out the front door.”
“We’re on our way Spence.”
She ran out of the house and into the car with Penelope. She put the phone on speaker before starting to drive, fast.
“Spence, is there a trail outside of the apartment?”
“Y-Yes, but it gets less and less the more it goes.”
“Okay, she might’ve walked to the clinic near the appartements. Since you’re close can you walk over there for me?”
“U-Um, could you pick me up and take me?”
“Of course, yes, we’re almost there.”
Penelope and her mother pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex and got out, rushing to where they saw Spencer, standing with red blood soaking the arms of her white sweater.
“We got you Spence, it’s gonna be okay,” Penelope pulled Spencer into a desperate hug, pulling at the back of her sweater, “Your mom is gonna be okay, alright? Let’s go sweetheart.”
They rushed back to the car and hurried faster to the clinic. When they walked in Spencer went immediately to the front desk.
“H-Hi, is my mom here? Her name is Diana Reid, she might’ve come in bleeding,” Spencer started fidgeting with a loose string on her sweater.
“Yes, she’s in one of the rooms, would you like to see her?” The woman at the desk said.
“Y-Yes, yes please.”
“Alright, come this way, and only family please,” she looked to Penelope and her mom.
“Yeah, okay, we’ll sit just out here.” Penelope held her mother’s hand as she sat in the waiting room chairs.
They waited and waited, and eventually Spencer came out of the back room, holding her mother’s hand.
“Diana,” Penelope’s mother stood up, “What happened?”
“I-I don’t know. Why are we here Spencer? Why is my arm all bandaged up?”
“You um,” Spencer looked down at the floor, “You were in a dissociative state the past couple of days. I-I think you might’ve been scratching yourself and you ended up breaking skin and hitting a vein. That’s what the doctor said at least.”
“Oh, sweetheart, I’m sorry,” Diana held Spencer’s arm with both hands, “You know, I’m so tired of hurting you like this, I really do love you Spence, no matter how much I mess up. We need to do something about this. I don’t think the check-ins are enough. Can we go talk about this?”
“Yes, of course.”
Spencer held her mother’s arm and they walked out to the car with Penelope and her mom. They went back to the Garcia house and sat at the dinner table together.
“Okay, so what’s the plan here? What’s gonna happen?” Penelope asked.
A moment of silence passed before Spencer spoke up.
“Mom, I’ve been thinking. There’s a kind of nursing home around here, it’s called the Las Vegas Sanitarium. You could live there and you would have as much assistance you need. I think it’d be really good for you.”
“Yes, yes I can go there. That’s a good idea, but what about you? You certainly can’t live in that apartment by yourself.”
“I don’t have to,” Spencer held her mother’s hand, “I could live here, with Penelope and her family. You wouldn’t mind, would you?” She turned to Penelope and her mom.
“Of course not, you’re welcome to live here if you need Spence.”
“Yeah! And I’d love to live with you!” Penelope beamed.
“Alright, it’s settled then. How about we check you in tomorrow?”
“Yes, I’d like that.” Diana smiled in what seemed to Spencer like the first time in a while.
Spencer and her mother stayed overnight at Penelope’s house, and in the morning they checked Diana into the sanitarium. For the rest of that day they packed up all of the belongings from the apartment and the two parts of the Reid family settled into their new homes, content that they finally had the safety of each other, even though it was from afar.

Reaching Out Till We Reach the Circle’s End — Chapter 5
For the chapter index: https://dragonbat2011.tumblr.com/post/621379453957865473/reaching-out-til-we-reach-the-circles-end-toc
A/N: Some dialogue adapted from S5E14: Devil's Due. Tolkien aficionados may recall that athelas is a healing plant native to Middle Earth. Knobweed appears in Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere series.
TW: brief mentions of past abuse. Nothing graphic.
 Chapter Five
Rumple pretended to be asleep, as he watched his son get up quietly and make his way over to the hearth. He took a fresh brick of dried peat from the storage bin and set it on the embers of last night's fire, using a poker to push it about. Satisfied, Bae moved toward a covered wooden bucket carried it over to a modest-sized cauldron, removed the bucket's wooden lid, and poured its clean water into the pot. Rumple knew that Bae would have drawn two such buckets from the well in the square yesterday and would draw two more this afternoon.
Bae set the cauldron on the hearth over the fire. Next, he took several handfuls of an ivory-colored coarse-ground meal and added them to the pot. He started to move away, then glanced quickly at the bed where Rumple pretended to yet be asleep and added another two handfuls.
Breakfast started, the boy reached for his cloak, and slid his bare feet into a pair of patched leather ankle boots that waited by the wool-curtained entryway. He took a moment to lace them, stooped down, and picked up the empty bucket that rested in the corner near where they had been. Then, he pushed back the curtain and Rumple could see that dawn had broken now, as Bae slipped outside.
Rumple considered for a moment. His younger self would likely be abed for another hour or so—spinning didn't require one to arise quite this early. Still, when he did arise, he was certain to want to have a conversation that Rumple wasn't sure he was ready for.
Besides, he was loath to let Bae out of his sight now.
Rumple hesitated only a moment before pushing back his blanket, slipping on his own boots, and making his way out of the hovel. He fought down a wave of nervousness as he headed for the sheepfold, where he knew Bae would go. He only meant to observe, for now. But if his son spied him, he could always claim that he'd thought he might have left something behind in the straw last night, and was only going to look for it.
He was just pushing back the wooden gate, when he caught a snatch of conversation coming from the shelter. Bae wasn't alone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You're sure it's no trouble," Moraine said, as she set down the bag of fleece, taking care that the top didn't open to spill its cargo.
Bae smiled, and then turned back to the ewe he was milking. "No, Papa has time. And," he added, "if you hadn't had oats to spare last winter, we might not have made it through." He sighed. "I don't know if we'll do better this year either."
"Your garden isn't giving enough?"
Bae hesitated. "Maybe it will by harvest time, but Papa says the soil's like us: overworked and can't get time for rest." He made a face. "At least, the mint and horseradish should come up; they can grow in anything."
Moraine nodded. "Mama says okra, too. I can let you have some seeds, if you like."
"Really?" Bae asked, smiling.
Moraine nodded again. "We can't really pay much for your papa spinning our fleece, but we can spare some seeds. Okra, mustard, I think chard too. Sparrow grass," she sounded apologetic, "remind me next winter; it's too late to plant it now." She hesitated. "I mean… if I'm still here."
"You're going away?" Bae couldn't hide his dismay.
Moraine sighed. "I hope not. But Mama and Papa think that if I can get out of this village, maybe they won't bother coming after me when I turn fifteen."
Bae didn't have to ask who 'they' were. "But where would you go?"
"We have cousins in Mare's Hollow," Moraine hedged. Then she added quickly, "And Papa thinks to wed me to one of them."
"Moraine!"
"Baelfire, I'm thirteen. At fifteen, the army will take me. U-unless I'm expecting a child. Or I've already become a mother," she added. "Aiken is twenty. And a blacksmith; the army wanted him for that more than for soldiering." She shook her head. "You know that in some villages, girls are marrying men old enough to be their fathers if it'll save them from being drafted. Seven years is… it's not so bad."
"Do you love him?"
"Baelfire, he's my cousin! Third cousin," she amended hastily. "Of course, I love him. But not like…" She broke off. "I met him once, when I was eight, at the district fair in Longbourne. He was nice, I guess. I mean, he didn't tease me or treat me like I was stupid or anything, but… well, it's not like we had much to say to each other." She sighed. "He was fifteen and making horseshoes with some of the other apprentices when we stopped by the forge. It was so noisy, I had to shout 'hello' so he could hear me over that hammering, and it was so hot, even out in the open. But he had a nice smile. And when he had time to come by Papa's stall later, he didn't talk down to me like so many other grownups did."
"Maybe…" Bae hesitated. "I mean, if it's not about love… Moraine," he took a breath, "we've been friends all our lives. Sometimes, I feel like you're the only person my age I can really talk to."
"I'm not your age, silly," Moraine smiled. "I'm three days older than you."
It was old banter and not really funny, but Bae smiled back just the same. "Look, we know each other, we get along… If you loved this Aiken guy, I'd understand, but if it's just to not have to go into the army, I…" He took another breath. "I-could-marry-you," he said quickly.
"What?"
"I might not be a blacksmith, but Papa's shown me how to spin; I can ask him to teach me more. I can sow and plant and raise sheep, and I know my way around a set of tools. And you wouldn't have to leave here. I know your parents would miss you if you did." He looked away. "And I know I would, too." He hesitated. "We're friends, Moraine. Good friends. Maybe that would be enough to start with."
Moraine flung her arms about him. "Oh, Bae," she whispered, "if it were my choice… I-I don't want to leave here either. And I'd miss you, too."
"We can talk to your papa," Bae said. "We can talk to my papa."
"I'll talk to him," Moraine said. "Usually, once he makes up his mind, it stays made up; I have to catch him in the right mood. And anyway, there's a year and a season 'til my fifteenth birthday. There's no hurry; we haven't even had a reply from Aiken, yet. If he says 'no', then Papa will be of a better mind to listen to us. And even if Aiken says 'yes,' it'll be at least a month—three or more would be likelier—before he could come for me or I could go to him. There's no reason to rush."
"Okay," Bae said. "Hey. Maybe the war will be over by the time he replies! Then for sure, you won't have to leave!"
Moraine heaved a sigh. "Wouldn't that be wonderful?" Then, in a completely different tone of voice, "It's getting late. I still need to feed the chickens."
"And I have to put milk in the porridge before it boils dry," Bae nodded. "Thanks for the goat cheese and the eggs."
"Thanks for saying your papa will spin our fleece. I'll bring okra seed next time; you plant it late spring."
"Got it. And Moraine?" He hesitated for a moment. "I-I'll see you in the square in a bit, when I drive the sheep to the common."
Moraine gave him a dazzling smile. "I hope so."
Bae watched her leave. Then he went back to his milking.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the sheep-hut door began to creak open, Rumpelstiltskin spared a quick glance behind him and, reassured that his younger self was nowhere in sight, hurriedly teleported outside of the fold, behind the hut. He hadn't meant to eavesdrop, truly, but now that he had, he needed a moment or two to collect himself.
He'd always done his best to shield Bae from certain harsh realities. In part, of course, it had been because any discussion of the Ogre War would have certainly led to questions about his own experience. His son might be the only person in the entire village who didn't yet know that he was a coward, and he had no wish to enlighten him. But of course, there had been cowardice involved in that very decision not to converse overmuch on the topic. Cowardice, and a foolish notion that if he didn't talk about the war, then perhaps, somehow, Bae wouldn't be drafted into it. Stupid, of course. He'd known that the Duke's soldiers would come for his boy eventually, but at the very least, he'd believed he'd been able to give Bae a sheltered childhood, more or less unplagued by concerns about going to war.
He'd just learned that he'd been a bigger fool than he'd ever believed. Of course, Bae would have known what was coming. And if he hadn't, then Rumple's failure to inform him, would have scarcely been a kindness on the day that the Duke's soldiers finally came. But Bae had known all along. And even understanding that his fate was set, he was ready to spare another that fate.
Rumple wiped his linen sleeve across his eyes. He'd always thought of Moraine as 'Bae's little friend'. It hadn't occurred to him that she was, even at thirteen, of marriageable age. And so was Bae, he realized with a pang. Oh, he'd known that, but he hadn't known it.
Did they love one another? Rumple wasn't certain. But they definitely liked one another, and not all love happened at first sight. Young people in their situation could do far, far worse than marry close friends, and…
And what was he even thinking? He knew full well that nothing would come of such childish plans. Bae had never approached him regarding the subject, which meant that either Moraine had never spoken to her father, or that her father had been loath to see his daughter wed to the son of a coward. Or they'd thought that they had over a year to make their case, when they had barely three months.
But they did have three months. And perhaps, that would be enough time… If he involved himself.
A new thought struck him. Zelena was still out there and not far away. She might not realize where she was, but she'd heard Charlotte Long-scar mention the name of this village. There was every reason to believe she'd come here to try to wrest the dagger from him again. Well, he clenched his jaw, just let her try!
And then, his blood went cold. Suppose she threatened the life of his younger self if he didn't surrender it to her? Suppose she threatened Bae? She'd already killed him once.
For a moment, he fretted. Then he remembered two things: first, Zelena currently had no magic. And, when last he'd seen her, she'd had no weapon either. Maybe she wasn't in any position to threaten anybody, at least, not yet. But second, he'd informed Charlotte Long-scar that Zelena's green-stone choker was more than some decorative trinket. When a bandit chieftain obtained an item of magical value, she had two options, either to use it or to sell it. And since, from what Rumple knew of such artifacts, Charlotte wouldn't be able to use an artifact of such power—not with no magic of her own, at any rate—she would choose the second option.
Aside from Zelena herself, there was only one person in the area who was likely to be in the market for such an item. And, Rumple reflected, he just might be of a mind to make a deal. Or change one…
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zelena had been on the road at daybreak, bound for the 'Longbourne' place that the hostler had mentioned the night before. She didn't know what she'd find there, but she hoped that it would be a bigger place than this sleepy, run-down little village where people didn't seem to know what lay past the next town over! Fancy not even knowing the name of your kingdom!
She'd saved a hunk of bread and a pear from last night's dinner and ate both on the way, but the sun was nearing its zenith and she was perspiring heavily when she finally saw something in the distance. Unlike Pen Marmor, Longbourne was a fortified town, surrounded by a high stone wall. There was a bored-looking sentry at the gate, who waved her through with barely a cursory glance.
Instead of proceeding on her way, though, she flashed him her most winning smile. "I was just wondering whether you could direct me to your hall of records?"
The sentry blinked at her. "Pardon?"
Zelena kept smiling. "Where would one go in this town to see a map of the kingdoms?" When the sentry continued to scrutinize her, she continued, "A long time ago, I met someone from another land I'd like to find again. Only, at the time, his kingdom was at war with another and I don't know which side of the border his town would be on, now. And well, since the countries all seem to change names when they change rulers, I was hoping to see a current map." She prayed he wouldn't question her further, but she knew that the Enchanted Forest was hardly a peaceful place. Some kingdom always seemed to be at war with another. Not like Oz, with one central seat of power in the Emerald City; once she'd deposed the Wizard, the entire land had been hers to rule—apart from a few stubborn pockets of resistance she'd very nearly stamped out.
The sentry stared at her just long enough for her to begin to grow nervous. Then, he gestured for her to pass through the gate. "You might try the merchant's guild," he said finally. "They'll know who they trade with. They may have the information you seek. If not, about five leagues back the way you came is the Duke's summer palace. His Grace keeps a library, and you might petition his clerk for permission to peruse it."
Zelena wanted to shriek her frustration. She had indeed passed that palace on her way, and had she known that what she sought might be there, she could have saved herself another fifteen miles in the hot sun! Well. As long as she was here, she might as well seek out the merchant's guild so that this jaunt wouldn't be a complete waste of time. She mumbled a thank you and started forward.
Now, the sentry moved into her path. "Generally speaking, Goodwife, when one requests information, it's customary to show a mite of gratitude when one gets it."
Zelena forced herself to smile. "I'll remember that. Thanks for the advice."
"I didn't just mean to the guild record-keeper," the sentry answered, still blocking her.
If she'd had her magic, she would have turned him into a monkey by now, or some other creature equally amusing. But she didn't. "I was set upon by bandits yesterday," she said, letting a bit of her frustration show. "They took everything."
"Those gloves look well-made," the sentry replied. "Kid leather?"
"Well, they won't fit you!" Zelena exclaimed.
The sentry merely peered down his nose at her.
"Forget it!" she snapped, starting to turn back the way she'd come. The sentry seized her arm and spun her roughly back to face him.
"I gave you information in good faith," the sentry snarled. "Now, you can pay me for it, or I can have the watch here in moments. I'm sure they'll be interested in the business of a woman, clearly a stranger here, asking all sorts of questions she has no business asking, because if she did, she'd already know the answers."
"You're mad!" Zelena hissed. "If you really believed that, you wouldn't let me pass for a pair of gloves!"
"Don't matter what I believe, Goodwife," the sentry said. "What matters is what the watch will believe when I turn you over to them. They might merely ask you a few questions of their own and let you go. They might just turn you back out the gate. Or they might decide to question you in detail… and at length." The sentry drew the words out slowly and Zelena had no doubt as to what he truly meant. Her step-father might have knocked her about a few times—particularly when he'd been drinking—but interrogation via torture was something altogether different.
"All right," she snapped, struggling to pull off the gloves while he kept his grip on her arm. "All right, here! Take them!" She gave a little involuntary yelp, as he snatched the gloves with his free hand and propelled her through the gate.
When she looked back in fury, he touched his cap mockingly and smiled. "Welcome to Longbourne, Goodwife."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At first, Rumple wasn't certain he could find the way; it had been centuries since he'd trod it, after all, and he'd only paid three visits to the place in total. But he recognized an odd rock formation here, and a twisted lightning-charred tree there, and it wasn't long before he found himself approaching the healer's tent.
The tattooed man was standing in the open stirring a cauldron, and from the fragrance emanating from the pot, he wasn't cooking up anything more magical than breakfast.
"Fendrake," Rumple said quietly.
The healer turned slowly and his eyes grew slightly wider. "Your circumstances have changed since our last meeting," he remarked. "In more ways than one, from what I can see."
"They have," Rumple nodded. "The man I was, the man you remember, was both mortal and moral. But he was a man in a desperate situation," he continued, a chill creeping into his words. "One you took full advantage of. Now, I admire that a great deal. Full points. However… I don't like carrying debt."
Fendrake shook his head slowly. "Unfortunately, Dark One, the contract is binding. Even if I wanted to change it, I couldn't. You owe me."
"Oh, I'm not disputing that, dearie!" Rumple chuckled, as a bit of his other persona struggled to the surface. "I wasn't saying I don't pay my debts. But, perhaps, we can come to some other accommodation. You saved my boy's life when there was nowhere else to turn, and for that, I am grateful. So, perhaps… I can save yours."
"If you mean to say you'll kill me if I don't void the contract—"
"Oh, I'll do that in about a hundred years or so," Rumple cut him off. "But I wasn't talking about voiding it. Say, rather, that we might alter the terms in a way that can benefit us both. And then, I won't have to come back that other time," he added.
Fendrake's eyes narrowed. "What did you have in mind? And if you didn't come here to kill me," he added, "then what did you mean about saving my life?"
"You know, dearie," Rumple giggled, "most people would've asked the second question first. But I don't mind getting that answer out of the way. There aren't many in these parts with the resources to purchase items of great Magic. But then, there aren't many people in these parts who ask one hundred gold pieces of people who've likely never owned a single such coin. So. I've reason to believe that you're about to be offered an emerald pendant—one that can store, stoke, and harness… magic. It was stolen yesterday from an adversary of mine, and sooner or later, she's likely to come a-poking her head through your tent flap in search of it."
"Interesting," Fendrake allowed. "Though I'm not sure I understand the relevance."
"The pendant currently holds her magic. All her magic. So, if she learns you have it, well, I may be a seer now, dearie, but even if I weren't, I'd predict that she'd either try to kill you to reclaim it, or ask to apprentice herself to you in hopes that studying magic with you would reawaken her currently-blocked-off talents. Once she does that," he giggled, "then she'll kill you!"
Fendrake nodded slowly. "I won't say I don't appreciate the warning," he said. "If all is as you say, then we may have a deal. But she might never learn of my existence. And she might not be quite so ruthless as you paint her."
"Yes, well, you made a claim against my second-born child, with no idea whether I'd ever have one, so I shouldn't think that dealing in hypotheticals ought to be a problem." Rumple pointed out, still smiling. "However, before I entered into that agreement with you, you had offered another one: one hundred gold coins for a draught of Atlanthean rat snake antivenin." At a snap of his fingers, a spinning wheel, a stool, and a bucket of straw appeared beside them. "Would you accept gold wire instead?" He chuckled, sat down at the wheel, and took up a piece of straw, which he threaded onto the bobbin shaft. A moment later, a piece of gleaming gold dropped to the ground and the healer picked it up, his eyes widening. Rumple flashed him a knowing smile and reached for another piece of straw. "I can spin you as much as you like…"
Fendrake's eyebrows climbed even higher. He gestured to the long handle of the wooden ladle in the cauldron. "Stir this a moment," he said. "I'll be right back." He retreated into his tent and returned almost at once, carrying a balance scale, a rolled up piece of parchment, and two wooden bowls and spoons. He laid the parchment in one balance pan. "One hundred gold coins," Fendrake remarked, "weighs approximately seven pounds. When ten times that weight is in this balance pan," he continued, gesturing toward the empty pan, "our contract will be nullified."
"Ten times the original price?" Rumple asked, a trifle tetchily. "Still driving hard bargains, I see."
"It's been nearly a decade since the deal was struck. Delaying the payment increases the debt. But in appreciation for your warning," he set the golden straw he'd pocketed moments earlier down in the empty pan, "Let's dispense with two of those years. Fifty-six pounds."
Rumple smiled. "As I said, Master Fendrake, you do drive hard bargains. Still, over the years, I've had occasion to learn for myself that magical ingredients can run a mite pricy. Especially in a backwater region like this one. Fifty-six pounds will buy you a lot of athelas and knobweed. But let me make you a counter-offer: I'll add back one of those years, for sixty-three pounds. And the next time some poor villager comes searching for a cure for their ailing loved one, you'll give it to them at a price that they can actually afford to pay."
Fendrake smiled. He waved his hand over the contract and flame of azure blue played over it for a brief instant before it flickered out. "The deal is struck," he said.
"Then I suppose I know how I'm spending the rest of my morning," Rumple sniffed. He passed the ladle back to the healer and headed for the wheel.
"Wait a moment," Fendrake called, staying him. He ladled a fruit-and-grain porridge into one of the bowls and handed it to Rumple. "There's no charge for this," he assured him, "nor for additional bowls, should you desire them." At Rumple's raised eyebrow, he shrugged. "You'll be at this for hours. I imagine you'll want sustenance at some point."
"Just to be clear, dearie," Rumple said suspiciously, "when you offered additional bowls…?"
"I meant for you to ladle more porridge into the one you're holding, yes." He smiled. "You're right. I do drive hard bargains. But I also try to state my terms as clearly and straightforwardly as possible and I do my best not to… shall we say, use my customers' natural perceptions to deceive them."
A surprised smile flashed briefly across Rumple's face. "Then I thank you," he said, lifting a spoonful to his lips. After his second, he looked at the healer once more. "You have that emerald already," he guessed, "don't you?"
"Of course."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When he'd been caged, first in his own castle and then later, in Zelena's storm cellar, he'd thought to himself that if he ever got free of her, it would be a long time before he'd so much as look at another spinning wheel. After days, weeks, months where—apart from the witch and her gloating and taunting—the thing had been his sole pastime, he'd grown thoroughly sick of it. And yet, here he was, volunteering to spin for hours on end, and actually enjoying himself.
Every straw spun was bringing him that much closer to his goal. Every straw spun was paying down a debt that had hung over him for decades—and had he ever considered that an option like this one might have been available, even a century from now, perhaps he wouldn't have chosen another way to clear accounts.
But then, he'd been more impulsive back then. He hadn't fully appreciated that, simply because he had the power to make others suffer, it didn't necessarily follow that he needed to indulge it. There were other ways. At times they were harder ways, but they were also better. The man he was today might have resented the healer for taking advantage of his desperation. But he'd also saved Bae's life. And spared his own, when Rumple had stolen upon him, bent on murder and theft.
Moreover, Rumple had recently returned from the Realm of the Dead. And while he hadn't met Fendrake there during his short sojourn, he had encountered other souls with unfinished business, prevented from moving on until all scores were settled and all debts paid. At the time, Rumple had believed that his time in that realm was due to unfinished business with those few individuals who had reneged on their deals with him, and whose debts were small enough or irrelevant enough that he hadn't troubled himself to hunt them down. But today, when he'd realized that the healer was the likeliest buyer for Zelena's pendant, it had occurred to him that, perhaps, his own debt hadn't been discharged after all.
And Rumpelstiltskin always pays his debts, he reminded himself, as he reached for another piece of straw. A moment later, he set another strand of bright yellow gold into the balance pan and the scale began to glow with an iridescent, pearly light.
Rumple shielded his eyes with his hand for a moment, and when he removed it, the healer stood before him once more. Fendrake plucked the contract from the other balance pan and unfurled it. "Your obligation to me has been met," he intoned formally, holding the page by the upper corners. As he started to tear it, Rumple held up a hand.
"Wait! Please. Could I have it? There's someone I need to show it to."
Fendrake shrugged. "Such is your right," he said. "And to avoid misunderstandings…" From a fold of his mantle, he brought forth a goose-feather quill and a small vial. Bracing the contract against the side of the still-warm cauldron, he wrote the words 'discharged in full' in a careful hand at the bottom beneath the signature that Rumple had inscribed so many years ago and underlined it with a flourish. Then he held the document out to him.
As Rumple accepted it, he felt as though a millstone had rolled away from him. He wasn't entirely certain that he needed to thank the healer for the privilege of spinning more than sixty pounds of gold for him, but he did so anyway. Then, still smiling, he made his way back to the hovel, pausing only long enough to purchase some roasted chickpeas and cheese pasties—his contribution to tonight's supper.
When he pushed his way through the curtained entrance to the hovel, however, his younger self rose heavily to his feet, leaning on his walking stick with a grim expression.
"I think it's time you explained yourself," he said firmly, though Rumple noticed that he was keeping his other hand jammed in his pocket where its shaking would not be so obvious. "I grant the resemblance is unmistakable and we well might be related, but my mother left before I was ever named. You claim to be my uncle, but yet, after tracking me down, you choose to bed down in my sheepfold."
"I told you—"
"Oh, I know what you told me. I just don't believe a word of it. So now," his younger self continued either not caring or not knowing that his knees were trembling, "you're going to tell me who you really are, why you've come, and," for the first time Rumple heard the slightest of quavers in his younger self's voice, "what your interest is in my boy."

https://detoxifying my brain
12:28 -- diary entry
i havent done work in a while bc of the virus and classes becoming online so i finally sat down and wrote down all my assignments due and lectures coming up and read through the instructions and planned out how i’m gunna execute it and emailed my TA on areas i don’t understand so that at no point during this break will i have something due the next day and have anxiety bc idk where to start. also today started with a shit morning bc i went to work only to find out that my shift was cancelled and no one told me and so the cook made me a bacon and caramelized onion omelette and potatoes and i was happy after. also i made a soy latte. and then i took a bus home, got coffee for my dad otw, got yelled at by my parents later, and then isolated myself in my room. i’m rlly not taking shit from anyone today tbh. i also turned off my phone which rlly helps me get shit done. oh and we got groceries yesterday and i saw this recipe on tik tok where they boiled almond milk with natural oats and frozen fruits and i wanted to try that ever since bc it sounds so good so i got all the ingredients except soy instead of almond bc almond milk tastes like cardboard to me. ask me why i’m so obsessed with vegan food (tofu, chick peas, lentils, soy milk) when i’m not even vegan. like i used to hate the idea of being vegan but the food is actually bomb but at the same time i need meat once in a while so i can never fully convert. alsooo i took a myers briggs test today and got infp again which is kinda crazy bc sometime last year i was an enfp?? i think or an enfj but the year before i was an infp so clearly i went thru some identity crisis last year which is usually what happens during my first year of high school / uni like i just become so social and outgoing and then after that i stop giving a shit and just chill with a small group of friends, which btw have been pissing me off and i feel like i rlly dont have any real friends anymore. i did put my pride aside and reach out to some old friends including one that i ended on bad terms with and it was really nice tbh. i find it so hard to like people and idk why. i just feel like i’m meant to be alone in life. that way i wont bother anyone and no one will bother me. but ill have occasional interactions with people every now and then. i have absolutely no problem with being a cat lady and living alone (not lonely though). i feel so much peace when i’m by myself. idk why people hear that and feel bad for me like wow thats so terrible and depressing that you want to be alone all the time like no its not???? its not depressing at all actually and i feel like more ppl need to normalize that concept that being introverted does not equal being lonely and shy. and ppl need to stop trying to teach ppl how to be extroverted. why is that even a thing?? moreover why do people always confuse introversion with shyness and extroversion with being outgoing?? those are completely different things and it would be more understandable why you’d wana help a shy person become more outgoing but thats only because shy people often want a change but u cant take a person who genuinely and (in recent studies show) physiologically prefer being alone and just Make them enjoy parties and social events like u just cant do it. trust me i’ve tried. it all depends on the company and the scenario. going drinking with some close friends wearing pj’s sound soo much more fun that wearing a short dress and drinking at a club. also the weathers been so beautiful lately and i’m so fucking mad at this stupid virus like can u fuck off already. i rlly wanna go out and take walks and ride the train and go to downtown and explore the city by myself ugh. i wanna finish the secret history like i deadass have been reading that shit for a year omfg. i need to clean my room, do my laundry, and then try to get some work done?? then after that i’ll have the night to myself and maybe i can try to read then who knows ok bye

pesto pasta salad (pesto + pasta + chicken + broccoli/spinach + cheese all mixed together in a huge batch)
thai curry (u can get a big ol’ tub of thai red/green curry that will last u at least a year for
any kinda sandwich (turkey slices, cheese, chutney or any kinda sauce, some fresh leafy veg)
chili (this is really a clean out ur fridge kind of meal, just a can of tomatoes + can of beans + any other veg or meat u have on hand. its so good and comforting)

Note
can u share ur meal plans pls?
i don’t have like specific meals that i eat over and over again (i plan them weekly) but i can come back to this post later and add some examples of meals that i eat
but in general, my day goes like this:
Breakfast (400-600 cals)
2 eggs with spinach and/or chopped peppers
1/2 cup oats boiled with almond milk and chopped fresh fruit and spices (i have a few different oatmeal recipes, but they’re all sweetened with fresh fruit only and no additional sugar), typically i top it with more blueberries
1 fruit (typically a honeycrisp apple or a banana)
Lunch (400-600 cals)
1 serving of protein (typically chicken, beef, or salmon)
1 serving of carbs (typically sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown rice, whole wheat pita, etc.)
1 serving veggies (roasted broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peas, tossed salad, etc.)
Dinner (200-400 cals)
1 serving protein
2 servings veggies
i also have 1-2 snacks per day, which are things like fruit & nuts, fruit & peanut butter, fruit & yogurt, veggies & peanut butter, veggies & hummus, or veggies & homemade guacamole
occasionally when i’m feeling lazy I’ll replace oats and fruit in the morning with a toasted bagel with avocado (pro tip: if you don’t eat bagels every day, freeze them and take them out of the freezer the night before and put it in the fridge to defrost, microwave it if it’s still frozen and then toast it)
i’ve been eating like this for about a month and a half and have lost between 1-3 lbs every week and feel great. i know that this probs ain’t everyone’s cup of tea but i personally love it, just try things out and see what works for you

last night I dreamed that I was an archeologist tortoise and I was looking at dozens of “human” skeletons in Buckingham palace that was also my backyard. the skeletons all looked like combo human and turtle because the whole torso looked basically like the first google image result for sea turtle skeleton. then my sister woke me up, giving me a comforter and telling me my mom need help with some things.  cleaned up around the living room and did some laundry and boiled some eggs and made meatloaf and swept the floor. the meatloaf turned out surprisingly good, idk what I did differently. I evemtually went back to my room and tried to remember what I wanted to do today. last night as I was falling asleep I told myself that I was gonna clear off my desk so I could finally use it, so I moved some stuff around and set up my laptop. I havent been able to sit at a real actual desk in SO LONG and its SO NICE to have just like a space where I can sit down and work and have a chair that will support my back instead of sitting cross legged on my bed or laying down while doing stuff on my laptop. it almost makes me feel productive even I'm just playing the sims. I feel especially cool when im just typing out whatever bullshit because it makes me feel like im at an office job typing up ~important documents~ :) idk man I think quarantine has changed me lmao. if im getting this many emotions from just being able to sit down at a desk and do ANYTHING idk how im gonna handle collage. I keep calling whetever im doing (playing the sims, scrolling through Tumblr, typing up this summary of the day) work because it just. feels nice sitting at a desk and typing. even if it’s dumb bullshit!! idk how to describe it I just feel amazing. it makes me feel like im writing a paper with all the horrible parts like research and thinking. the sound of typing on my MacBook makes me feel like im in school again, but without the horrible stressful parts. idk mn I know I've been going on about this desk and stuff for too long and im gonna hate it if I eventually read back through these daily logs but I just feel so nice. ill change topics anyway. I hung up my calendar again! I literally didn't have any open wall space aside from maybe the wall behind my bed but why the hell would I put a calendar where I can't see it. instead its kind of hanging above my closet. I pinned it to the wooden board in the “doorway” (idk what other word to use) where there would normally be sliding doors that open and shut if they hadn't been taken off YEARS ago. I also played a lot of the sims 4, juggling aspirations for 5 sims. I quit because I got frustrated that all my sims are dumb and the ai Is buggy and doesn't let me do what I want them to do. I also plopped in a house on my family’s old lot and spent some time adjusting the colors and the trees and adding those paper craft cieling things that can either have stars or leaves or snowflakes that came in the free winter holiday stuff pack and holy shit as soon as I found those I think they became my new favorite decoration item. I threw them everywhere but eventually took down most of them, leaving some leaf ones in the bedroom. I was gonna move in a family of a bunch of young adults and children to help with the first kid’s serial romantic aspiration and one of the twin’s social butterfly aspiration, but I ended up not doing that in favor of just decorating more and playing with the family some more. one thing I realized while playing is that there are fucking MICE in my CIELING. well not really in the cieling, in the attic, but I can hear them chewing on shit and its sucks. I would turn on a fan to drown out the noise but my room is fucking FREEZING. I threw the blanket back over my window hoping that it would keep heat from escaping but I don't think that really did anything. so after freezing my ass off I got fed up and put on fluffy socks under normal socks, wore my owl onesie as pants over my shorts, put on my comfy (oversized hoodie), and threw a fluffy blanket over my shoulders. thankfully I was pretty cozy after that, but as I type this after taking off the cosy and blanket, I can feel my toes getting cold again. damnit. ANYWAY after quitting the sims for the night I ate some salad and got a heart shaped crouton :) and I scrolled through Tumblr for a bit. then I decided to finally work on the paws my friend wanted. but I couldn't find the pattern so I instead worked on the brown paws instead. I could only work on them so much, since I still have to finish the lining before I can do much else. I attached the backs of the fingers to the back of the hand. I didnt get much down but what matters is that I did SOMETHING. I'm gonna keep an eye out for that pattern that I need, and if I cant find it, I'll just make a new pattern. tbh I think thad’s be the better way to go anyway since I wouldn't have to figure out how the fuck the old one goes together and I can also have a pattern that perfectly fits the foam underneath. also tbh i have mixed feeling about the white paws my friend wants. I like how dextrous they are and how easily you can emote and move your fingers, but I dont like how ovular I made the paw pads and the hints of black thread peaking out where I sewed the pads from the back. I WOULD just remake them with the free curl works pattern im using for the brown paws but I figure I might as well finish this pair since there’s already one done and the foam interior is already made. whatever. I dont wanna think about it too much. I also dont like the head that goes with the paws, it was a fish job in comparison to my first head and I kinda hate it. but I think I'll eventually get some longer fur for the neck and a hair poof and cheeks (maybe) and do a little refurbishing and give it to my friend if she ever wants it, since it matches the paws and all. I have lots of plans for my 2 WIP heads but not all the materials/motivation. plus I just need to let the ideas stir before I do unything, making sure they’re goof before I act on them. I'm exited that I can shave down fur relativey easily and evenly without an electric dog shaver, which opens up a lot of opportunities. anyway as I was working on the brown paws I had TAZ on in the background and it still baffles me a little bit how different griffin and Matt mercer operate as dms like holy shit. its really funny. and it got me thinking about how I wouldn't mind dming for my friend group if he chance ever arose. I DO have the forgotten realms campaign setting book. I haven't actually looked at it but I assume it has a few pre-built quests and plot lines n stuff in it. I'll probably take a better look at in the morning when it’s not 1:40 am. dang now I'm thinking about my Minecraft dnd idea again. I think the real problem keeping me from being a dm is that I CANNOT keep a straight face when doing improv/roleplaying, so I dont know how well I could hold together a world for them to play in. I would love to give it a try tho. not with the Minecraft idea at the same time, fuck no. I would need to do like. a classic vanilla dnd experience the first time, maybe even using our tiefling family characters since I'm at least a little familiar with them. can you dm and also play your own character? is that fair? is that a think you can do? I think that could be fun but also hard to juggle and also maybe kinda suck because you’d already know all the answers to all the puzzles. meh. actually now I kind of really want to look through thet book tonight instead of in the morning. also I mentioned overnight oats a few days ago I think, and the first morning it was kinda gross, the second time I ate it was still a little gross texture wise, but I finished it off tonight and it was pretty good. maybe next time I'll try it without the banana and a little less milk and maybe slice up an apple into little cubes for texture. hell yeah peanut butter apple cinnamon brown sugar overnight oats. that sound pretty dang good actually. I'll try that some time, but I dont think I can right now because I dont think we have any apples in the house. phooey. I should also probably put this oatmeal cp in the sink before it becomes impossible to clean. holy shit how long have I been writing? SEE THE DESK MAKES ME JUST WANNA KEEP WRITING AND WRITING FOREVER I FEEL SO PRODUCTIVE EVEN IF IM NOT DOING ANYTHING PRODUCTIVE!! I love just typing and typing forever its so soothing just hearing the tapping of the keyboard and getting my thought out without actually having to think that hard about it. goddamn im never gonna read back through this this is a nightmare lmao. no paragraph breaks no capitalization no nothin. I dont even wanna stop typing even though my arm is starting to hurt a little but from leaning the edge of the desk. now im thinking about the movie soul again and the cat as it rides on the escalator to the great beyond and how that dude in the band was the main characters student and how that scene with the girl trying to quit music and then immediately changed her mind didnt make any sense. like what the hell I dont understand that scene at all. also thinking about the transition where he’s like “ok repeat after me” as he’s in the cat and the camera goes over the mom’s shoulder and it’s just him talking, I like how they did that instead of doing dialouge between him and the cat. idk man. I think maybe I should stop typing now since my body is starting to hurt. sorry for putting this H U G E wall of text on your dash but I just like typing out my thoughts :) goodnight!
edit: OH I forgot to talk about something else!! last night I was thinking about valentines day and how cute it would be to have a little overall dress in the pattern on one of my childhood blankets, its like a light pink with white hearts on it so I looked up some fabrics and none of them were the right pattern. I also looked up a sewing pattern that I think would look nice and its on sale right now! I totally want to try and make it, but fabric is expensive so I think I might look at dollar tree for fleece baby blankets because I know they have them there, I bought a few a while ago for some plush sewing projects. they’re decently sized so I think I could do it.idk how many I would need to buy tho. or I might go to goodwill and look for a pink sheet? I have a thin pink blanket that could theoretically work but I want to use a planet im not attached to. or even just find a few big shirts in the same shade of pink? then I could maybe line it with something. I have red purple and white satin but that’s literally the worst fuckin fabric in the world to work with. my first experience with sewing was trying to make plushies out of satin and holy hell idk how I did it. anyway even though I literally never wear dresses I think it would be a fun project to try and make myself a cute little valentines dress. :) I could even give myself POCKETS >:)))

Greying of hair is natural at one age, however, if you are below 35 yrs of age and u have a grey Strands of hair this might be little alarming but the good news is that you need not depend on Temporary solutions of hair dyes as this condition is very much treatable at home how does black
Tumblr media
Hair turn white at the 1st place the answer lies in the chemical called melanin by hair follicles is Responsible for the colour of the hair. THE HIGHER THE MELANIN CONTENT THE DARKER WILL BE YOUR HAIR .
when the production of melanin reduces black hair starts Turning white. When melanin count decreases significantly at an early age premature greying of hair Is experienced.
So in this blog, I`m going to share with u root causes, effective measures and 1 simple home remedy Which will increase the productions of melanin and reverse greying of hair.
Hello, friends welcome To our blog. Nothing matches the dread that u feel at the appearance of your 1st white strand isn’t it.
Apart from genetics, the root cause of premature greying of hair is due to the increased level of heat In the body, According to AYURVEDA imbalance of pitta dosha(It carries all the changes, heat and Metabolism in our body and mind. Also it controls how we digest food and make difference b/w right and wrong) generates heat in the body which causes hair to grey.
It was recently found that hair follicles discharge a small Quantity of hydrogen peroxide, that has collected over time it signals that the hair and causes hair to turn gray
Macronutrients required for good hair health.  Make Sure u seem fresher foods like milk, paneer, legumes, poultry, fish, poultry, in your Everyday diet
Improper nourishment is an overlooked variable that becomes the significant cause of premature greying of hair in over 50 percent of the situations.
Additionally, green leafy vegetables, oats, curry leaves, nuts, and coconut oil is full of Vit- B vitamins, Biotin, iron, and aluminum, are extremely useful reversing greying hair.

Home remedies for grey hair turn into a black fast
So I want to talk about 1 home remedy which does exactly that — there are so many home remedies for greying hair but this, in my opinion, is the most effective. All u will need will is black tea, salt, and water Just Follow Simple Steps:
First, take about 500ml of water to add two tbsp of black tea
1 tbsp of salt pops down it for 5 to 7 mins.
Black tea hair mask provides hair elastin and keratin a fantastic increase that restores the natural pigment of the hair thus reducing the whitened hair (boil it on a moderate fire )
strain the liquid. To a jar allow it cool today and gently massage your own hair let it remain for approximately 20 min. Then wash it off.
Avoid having a shampoo since it could make negate the renter of the dark tea

Note
how do u cook/eat your oatmeal?? I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and I hated it ...but I’ve been wanting to try it again lol
i put 1 cup of milk to boil with a little of sugar for like 4 minutes (you can also put water but i prefer milk) and when it's done boiling I put half a cup of oats and leave it that way for 5 minutes and then it’s done!

Mocha Overnight Oats & Mocha Granola
A delicious mocha overnight oats recipe topped with homemade crunchy mocha granola – both made using Super U’s new Mushroom Coffee.
Overnight oats has been my go-to breakfast for years. It’s just so convenient to prepare your breakfast the night before and have it waiting for you the next morning. It’s also a healthy option for breakfast – packed with fibre in the oats and by adding things like nut butters and nuts you can get some healthy fats and protein in there too!
I always like to have a jar of homemade granola in my kitchen to enjoy as a quick breakfast or snack when I’m feeling peckish and craving something sweet and crunchy. It’s also nice to have something to sprinkle on smoothies and puddings to add some crunch.
I’m a huge fan of coffee flavoured treats and desserts. It’s such an underrated flavour in the dessert world and I can’t get my head around why that is! We’re a nation obsessed with coffee, why don’t more of us add it to our recipes? I’ve used coffee in a few of my previous recipes, but this recipes is different. I’m using Super U Mushroom Coffee or “Shroom Coffee”, which is made up of a mixture of instant Arabica Coffee powder with added goodness of mushrooms (Chaga, Cordyceps & Lion’s Mane)! Don’t let the idea of having mushrooms in your coffee put you off as you can’t taste the mushrooms one bit! They’re in there purely for their nutritional and health benefits.
While studying nutrition I learned all about the amazing benefits of mushrooms on gut health and by extension the immune system and overall health! Chaga mushrooms have amazing immune-boosting properties and Lion’s mane mushroom supports brain health by promoting neuronal growth and protecting nerve fibres. This has been shown to boost cognitive function
If you’re looking to make your mocha overnight oats bowl extra decadent and delicious, I would highly recommend you go ahead and top it with chopped dark chocolate, a drizzle of tahini and a handful of your homemade crunchy mocha granola!
