normalize non systems using simply plural. its a great app! people with physical/mental illnesses can use it to track their symptoms, you can use it to track sleep, genderfluid people can track if they feel femme/masc/nb, you can ADD FRIENDS and they can SEE this stuff and even get notifications about it

people who make ocs can keep track of their ocs, you can literally do all kinds of stuff

but the most important thing is that it will destigmatize the app

now if someone glances over your shoulder and sees simply plural on ur homescreen they cant just assume ur a system. now people who are scared to download the app because of stuff like that can. it will be so cool

I like when people give me names. Not in a pet-like “mr nibbles is such a good boy!!” way, but in a “that abhorrent fucking monster? We call it John, just to make it feel a little less scary” way.

Humans name non-humans to feel just slightly more in control of them. Some creatures treat it as an honor, some endure it as a mark of respect, and I myself am among those who allow it out of endearment towards the human race.

OKAY NONHUMAN QUESTION TIME - do any of y'all ever wish that others would name you instead of choosing your own name? There seems something inherently human in choosing a name to me; I've always wanted to have my name selected by other people as if I was an animal who would not consider that itself. Not even in a dog way; wild animals too receive names from humans, though of course domestic animals come immediately to mind.

Any other alterhumans wish that humans would give them names?
