hc for Katsuki's sidekicks:

two sidekicks who are UA 3rd years/just graduated and they're both girls and very competitive rivals who are very serious in their job and they both grew up admiring Katsuki's skills, passion and spirit when he's fighting so they want to surpass him (that's why he accepted them). But they don't really like each other and get annoying sometimes because they fight and argue a lotttt, like imagine they're in a mission and are arguing through the comms and Katsuki is so annoyed and face palming telling them to "FOCUS IDIOTS" but he secretly smiles because it reminds him of his rivalry with deku when they were young.

They also spent their 1st and 2nd year internships with Katsuki and he trained them soooo hard because he sees boys and girls equally and also saw so much potential in those two. that made them so happy (I'm assuming their society is still misogynist like it was during the sport festival)

hi mochi !! apologies in advance for the long (and maybe messy) ask. i'm a silent reader so i haven't love mailed your fics as much as i should have soo i guess i will now hehe

firstly, thank you sm for your fics omg,, i first found you on ao3 with floral inconvenience ages ago (i love all of them sm but vil + absolute bastard bestie ace was my fave, esp with all the vdc gang cameos <3 AND THE ENDING,, 😳🫣.... no one truly is immune to vil schoenheit....), then later on with ptm (i didn't even know it was the same author at first but both of those series gave me such intense brainrot so ur one of my fave authors now). i've yet to read your other series but i know i won't be disappointed when i finally get to!!

i just love the way you write sm?? especially character interactions. i think you really make them feel alive and thats why i enjoyed both of those fics! not to mention how spot on your characterization is. not a single person from the twst cast feels ooc to me honestly so i have sm respect for you 🫡

i really did latch on hard to ptm though, even if i'm not a jade liker,, like the concept is just funny as hell to me. you really cooked and SERVED with the fic so it's been a real delight to read (and reread ,, the whole thing over and over 🗿) !!

additionally, i think i really like ptm bc i like reading your take on the next year and events in nrc. i haven't read much fics that do (understandable, considering our 3rd years are off campus), so it felt refreshing to me! expanding on the worldbuilding even just a bit also makes me 🫶. also big fan of ramshackle being filled with students, even if they're technically borrowed lol. imagine the shenanigans in there?? i love your ocs... aspen might be my fave. as much as he maybe might hate it. i would absolutely love reading an entire chapter of just ur ocs if u ever felt like doing that honestly!!

ANYWAY. because i brainrot about ptm too much. i got curious so i have a question. (if you don't mind answering!)

yuu so far has been hesitating to say anything about their telepathy + specifically knowing jade's feelings because of it due to 1) that shit's so embarassing. theyre dying just from listening 😭 2) afraid of his reaction especially considering that it's Telepathy (esp now that yuu has a taste of some of the ob boys' reactions in ch6...)

if yuu had been,, i guess,, more brave? ??upon realizing jade likes them romantically (not just sexually), then decided that they'd confess and just be honest rather than lead him on because they don't like him like that [yet 👀]...

1) would jade be as freaked out by the fact that they know his private thoughts like jamil/azul/idia had been in ch6? or more chill but still unnerved, only because he was fine with yuu knowing him?

2) would jade still pursue them and try to woo them over? even if yuu says they don't like him like that but still hoped their friendship isn't ruined despite the rejection and the telepathy thing? i've read some of your ptm asks before and you've mentioned jade is somewhat more of a sensitive soul to these things despite how he looks (i hope i'm not mistaken!). is this enough to dishearten him? especially since yuu's only reason for a rejection would be because they "don't know each other that well" when asked by aspen and tony.

I'm happy you found me through my first event! Looking back at it I can definitely see a difference between my writing then and now, which is kinda cool to see! I hope if you get to my other series that you also enjoy those!! I am hoping to have at least PTM and 2-3-6 done before starting my next one but we'll see teheee

I'm glad that you like my character interactions! It's always a bit of a worry if the interactions between the cast feels organic, as I kinda based them and the dialogue on how me and my friends interact. I'm glad that overall people get a kick out of it tho! ^^

AAA and worldbuilding is one of my favorite things to do!! It might be cause of my anthro brain but I love making the world feel more alive! We have a limited amount of information about the world of TWST outside of what we know from the cast, so I like to add things that I think help the characters and the fics themselves feel more alive!

Aspen is def a fan favorite from what I've gathered lol. I'd love to write a few things for just the PTM ocs because I have so many thoughts and feelings, but I know people are mostly here for x reader stuff so I really haven't hehe

For you're questions about Jade knowing at the beginning that Yuu has telepathy, I'll go one by one!

Jade absolutely would be extremely distressed that he knows that Yuu knows. I do think that Jade likes to "perform" and present himself a certain way. He has a reputation that he likes and wants to keep; having someone know your deepest, most intimate thoughts. I think it would be worst knowing that the love of your life knows those thoughts, but you don't know theirs.

Saying that though, he's also very adaptable and IS sensitive at heart (people can fight me on this). It's also a thing that Yuu does reciprocate, they just don't realize because they've been through a lot over the past year so their focus is elsewhere. A good way to think about it as that Yuu/Reader is a bit of an unreliable narrator. I think Jade would ask that Yuu not make a decision right here or now, but to wait and allow everything to take it's natural course. It will be difficult for both parties, Jade still has his thoughts (that he is now hyper-aware of) and Yuu is still extremely flustered by them (and him), but it allows for the relationship to develop in a different way that can be a lovely way for the friendship first to blossom, making the foundation for a beautiful romance as well.

And they get into an argument before the Barcelona GP and y/n thinks they won’t be there to see them race but in the end they do go and see y/n get a home podium and they make up !!

Author's Note: OMG I LOVE IT. It's kind of funny, because I have an OC much like the reader in this story, so to be honest, that's just what I imagined while writing this.

It all starts with a stupid, petty comment.

Pedri is to the point of practically begging you for some time together, since his schedule is free. But yours isn't. You tried to explain so many times that even though you're back home in Barcelona, and not in the UK, that doesn't mean you don't have work to do before the next race here in Barcelona.

Maybe you're being a bit harsh. Maybe you should sit down with your boyfriend and snuggle him a bit. Let him have you, just for a moment, just for a short break in both of your glittery sporting lives.

But if you were starting to change your mind at all, or feeling any sympathy in the slightest, it's suddenly squashed when that stupid comment comes out of his mouth.

"Yeah, I'm sure you've got a lot of work to do. Since you clearly care about your teammate more than your own boyfriend."

Your head snaps to look at him. "Excuse me? What teammate?"

His thick, dark eyebrows knit together as he comments, crossing his arms. "You know. Your teammate. The one you constantly talk about, and joke around with? You're practically flirting by now."

This is coming as a shocker to you. This is the first time Pedri's ever voiced thoughts such as these. But you clench your jaw. "I'm sorry, but I have no idea why you feel the need to bring Lando into this-"

"Because you're putting him over me! And your job! And your team!"

"No I'm not!" you snap, then taunt a bit, "Oh, is someone getting jealous?"

"I have the right to!" Pedri is starting to get angrier, and his body straightens more. "I see how you nudge him, and hug him after good performances-"

"Everyone does that! I'm not getting mad at you for hugging your teammates after a goal is scored, am I?"

"No, but that's different!"

"In what way? Just because I'm a woman?" your lip curls in annoyance. "So I'm not allowed to have sportsmanship and camaraderie with my team, just because of my gender? Just because my teammate is a man, and I'm a woman? Give me a f*cking break!"

Pedri stands up, his face reddening, and now his voice is raised as he snaps back, "It's not that! It's that you're doing all that, and not giving me any attention! You spend more time with Norris these days than you do with me!"

"It's because he's amongst me in my job! I can't really avoid him!"

"Maybe you should try separating your job from your personal life and show me some love for once! Give me back some of the energy I give to you!" he suddenly screams.

There's a few seconds of silence, but your heart feels cold as you respond, "So I'm not allowed to have friends, then? I have to give my everything to you, and only you? Well, at least Lando doesn't expect anything more from me than what I can give."

"Yeah, and that's because you're giving him so much! Why don't you consider me?"

"Why don't you consider me?" you suddenly yell, before slamming the door of his flat shut and leaving, your head spinning with irrational thoughts.

Lando isn't just your teammate. He's also your friend. And a good friend, at that. But you figure it's hard for anyone who really knows Lando not to like him.

Now he catches you in the McLaren garage, before the first practice session of the Barcelona Grand Prix weekend. It's been a week since the argument with Pedri, and over that week, your conscience has been killing you. You tried to text him twice, but didn't get a response, and you're too nervous to call, because you don't want to face the fact that he could just decide not to pick up.

But your heart and head are aching, and clearly it shows on your face, because suddenly you feel a friendly slap on your back as Lando says, "It's your home race weekend, Y/n. Look a bit more alive!"

You shrug and force a smile. "I know. Just got some things on my mind."

"Something bad happen?" he inquires, his eyebrow cocking up a bit.

"Not really," you shrug.

As if reading your mind, Lando asks, "Will your boyfriend be able to make it this weekend?"

This question makes your head swarm.

Will he? I mean, if he's ignoring me now, why would he bother to come to the Grand Prix?

Maybe he's too busy for me, like I was for him.

You swallow as you feel a pang of guilt deep in your chest.

"Uh, I don't know... I don't think so," you say, clearing your throat.

Lando continues looking at you expectantly with big eyes, as if thinking you're going to elaborate on that. But when you don't he says with a little frown, "Well, why not? He lives in Barcelona." Lando is, obviously, aware of which famous football player is your boyfriend.

You shrug a little. "It's a long story, to be honest. But I'm fine, Lando. Don't worry. Besides, I think the best thing right now is to just focus on racing, you know?"

Lando nods slowly, not seeming fully convinced, but says, "Alright, then. Whatever you think."

You nod as he gives you another reassuring slap on the back and walks on.

You sigh.

Just have to switch my brain off into racing mode. See all those Spanish fans cheering me on.

I've got all of McLaren, including Lando, backing me.

And I've got all of Spain, except for maybe Pedri González, my own boyfriend, backing me, too.

When you get into that car, it's like the world stops moving. In all three practices, and then in qualifying. There's no worrying about jealousy, relationships, or public image. All there is is you, the car, the speed, and the other cars you, ultimately, need to beat.

All there is is the wind, the throttle, the limits you're pushing to break past.

The speed.

It's why you love racing.

You finish qualifying in fourth, and when Lando sees you in the garage, he gives you a high five and a friendly half-hug before saying, "Starting 3-4 for the race. Good job."

You smile and nod. "Thanks. You know how it is, though." You can tell he's just trying to cheer you up. He's not actually this estatic about starting in third and fourth.

"Yeah, yeah," he nods, putting on his cap. "But, hey." He makes eye contact with you. "Maybe your boy will show up for the race, at least?"

You shrug, looking down and respond simply, "Maybe." You doubt it.

You're sure you'll make it up. The next time you see him, you'll fix everything. Apologize, and explain.

It just kind of sucks that this had to all go down right before one of the few races on the calendar that Pedri can actually make it to. Your home race.

Before the race, you text Pedri.

It's left on sent, just like the other two.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" you demand to Lando, who is basically walking around the paddock like a smug little contained jar of sunshine and rainbow, being cheeky because clearly he knows something no one else does.

You know the bratty look in his eyes.

He seems to find a ridiculous amount of pleasure in this question from you as he comments, his voice drawn out in a sing-song tone, "Nothing..."

You roll your eyes and tease, "What, some cute girl asked you out? Or, what, you heard Red Bull talking about some kind of terrible problem with their car? Or, what, you overheard the full and complete ultimate strategy of Ferrari in order to take us down?"

Lando's grin grows. "All of those things would be pretty great, but unfortunately, none of them are true. Simply, nothing at all is different," he comments, like the complete and utter dork he is.

How could Pedri ever think I'd chose this loser over him? you ask yourself in rueful disbelief.

"Alright, then don't tell me!" you say with a shrug, showing you really aren't going to waste any more energy with him.

"Good, because otherwise I might slip the secret!"

At this, your eyebrows furrow, but when you glance back at Lando, he waves his hand and adds, "You'll figure it out soon enough."

For a while, you ponder on what Lando could have been talking about, but soon you're putting on your helmet, and forgetting everything.

Because you have a chance to podium at your home race, and you intend to do it.

So you pull out on track. Drive the formation lap, entering the zone, letting everything but racing slip from your mind.

Feeling the pounding of your heart and the pulsing adreniline.

And then, before you know it, it's-

Lights out, and away we go!

"So, what place is that, then?" you question over the radio in the last lap.

"Uh, that's P2, Y/n. P2," comes the response back.

It hits you. "What? I didn't even know!" you laugh high, actually so shocked. "When did that happen?"

You hear your engineer laugh and say, "Do you want the whole run down of the race right now, or later?"

You laugh to yourself as you see the chequered flag waving ahead. "And Lando?"

"Uh, Lando go P3," answers your engineer.

"Wait, really? No way! Oh, yeah, I guess so, if I got P2!"

"Well, I'm starting to doubt you even drove the race, but if you did- great job today. That's a double podium for the team and some great points. Enjoy the podium."

You laugh to yourself and say, "I could only do it because of all the home fans cheering me on. The crowd is great!"

"Oh, and that's driver of the day, too."

"Yes! Vamos, baby. Great job, everyone, and thanks to everyone who voted for me."

When you get out of the car and flip up your visor, your heart is already pounding in your chest. Lando high fives you, and then gestures to the McLaren team, ready to greet their two drivers at the finish line.

But you can see the cheeky grin still lingering from before in Lando's eyes, and now you can see exactly why.

"Pedri?!" you scream with a (quite terrible) voice crack. Immediately you run to him, and he grabs you, taking you into his arms as you feel a couple hands from your teammates patting your shoulders and helmet in congratulations.

Pedri kisses your helmet, right where the little Spanish flag on it is. He's grinning, and says, right to you, "I'm so proud of you. And I'm sorry- I wanted it to be a surprise."

You grin and respond, "We can talk stuff over right now. Right now, I've got champagne to spray, no?"

Pedri grins back and nods in agreement. "Go for it."

In the cool down room, you corner Lando and snap, "So that's what you were being so smug about! Had you seen Pedri before the race?"

Lando grins and nods, sitting down in Max's P1 chair, not caring. "Yeah. He told me not to tell you about him being there. A surprise."

"He can speak enough English to tell you that?" You've, obviously, always just spoken to him in Spanish.

Lando chuckles and says, "Well, enough."

On the podium, when you pop the champagne, you spray it at Lando, and Lando sprays it back at you and Max. Adreniline and joy fills you as you then take a swig from the bottle and rub the stinging champagne from your eyes, feeling the wetness of it all over you.

Once you've gotten off the podium and are back in the garage, you spot Pedri, and immediately run to him. You wrap your arms around him and kiss his cheek, and say right away, "I'm so sorry, Pedri."

He hugs you back, but doesn't respond.

"I've been feeling so terrible about what happened all week... And then with the silent treatment, too..." You sigh. "I should have given you some time. I could have spared even fifteen minutes, and it would have been good for both of us. I was such an idiot, putting my own thing above you. And even if I had so much to do I couldn't spare some time for you, it was things I could still work on with you. I'm sorry. I was just being a petty idiot, and there's no reason for it."

Pedri hugs you tighter, and as you speak, it feels like there's a weight being lifted off your chest. But now it's Pedri's turn to let off the weight on his chest. "It's okay... I... I forgive you. Thank you. But I was an idiot, too. It's just... I know Norris is your friend, and I don't want you to stop having friends. It just hurts when I know you see him more than you see me. But I shouldn't have even implied you would intentionally put him over me. I'm just... It's hard not to get jealous, but I need to get better. Just... it'd be nice if you... well... if you can help it, don't constantly be hugging him and stuff, you know? But over all, I was an ass, and I'm sorry. I just took my jealousy and anger out when you said you were too busy- That was wrong of me. I'm sorry for not responding to your texts, too... The first few days, I was still too stuck in my thoughts to, but then I had the idea to surprise you at the Grand Prix, and... Well, were you surprised to see me?"

You smile softly, wholeheartedly accepting his apology and understanding his point of view much more after having a week of thinking and stressing over what had happened. But now you respond, "I was perfectly surprised. I'm so glad you came, Pedri, to see me..." Now you're beaming at him.

He grins back, stroking your cheek. "I'd never, ever miss my amazing racing girlfriend's home race!"

"I know, but..."

He comments, "It was an amazing drive. For you and Norris."

"Oh, quit calling him 'Norris'! He's my friend, which means he's yours, too, whether you like it or not!"

Pedri chuckles but accepts it. "Alright, alright. But now- am I allowed to treat Miss P2 to something sweet?"

"What do you have in mind?" you ask, raising an eyebrow.

He smirks and says with a wink, "It's a surprise. Are you okay with a second one for today?"

You laugh a little, but nod. "I don' know if anything could be better than simply the surprise of seeing your handsome face, but I suppose another surprise would be good."

"Alright, good. But first-" he leans in closer and says softer, "Don't I get a kiss from my little winner?"

You roll your eyes and say, "I'm neither little or a winner, not today."

"Ah, but you're little compared to me," he comments, referring to you being shorter than him, "and you've certainly won my heart."

"Ah, you're so cliché!" you snap, but lean in, cupping his cheeks, and give him a passionate post-race kiss.

Tag Game: Author Ask Tag

Thanks to @tildeathiwillwrite for tagging me! I´ll use my story "Chimeras" the tag.

1. What is the main lesson of your story? Why did you choose it?

Although this story originally started out as a very self-indulgent project of writing whump and making my characters suffer for fun, it ended up growing into something more. I think one of the most notable themes of this story has to do with discrimination and rejection. I think that in the end we have to remember that at our core we are all still human beings, that our differences allow us to have a much more enriching life, and that freedom is a right as long as it does not attack the freedom of others.

2. What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding?

Have you seen the series or read the Sweet Tooth comics? My original idea started off with something similar to that, but instead of such an apocalyptic perspective I wanted to give it a bit more of a fantasy feel. Otherwise, it's a pretty generic world, but I try to add a touch of fantasy when I can, hehe.

3. What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness or help the reader grow as a person?

I really didn't plan to teach anything with this story, just to entertain readers by reading it and to entertain myself by writing it and thinking about the characters (just thinking about my OCs is a complete hobby for me). Elafi just wants to be able to live a peaceful life, where he doesn't have to run away or hide because of who he is, and to help others do the same. Even when we can't change the world, maybe our actions can change small parts of our little personal world and others' for the better. If any reader resonates with that message in a positive way, I'm so happy for you!

4. How many chapters is your story going to have?

omg, I'm already thinking about a possible third season, so yeah, lots of chapters XD Extended universe is coming 👀

5. Is it fan fiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

Original work! It easier to engage in writing an original story than a fanfic to me. I´m currently posting here on Tumblr, but I´ve been considering post it on Wattpad when the story is more completed.

6. When did you start writing?

Specifically this story: Mid 2024. Originally they were going to be stand-alone chapters, but in the end the plot caught me.

7. Do you have any words of encouragement for fellow writers of writeblr? What other writers do you follow?

The advice I always give is: if you want to write, then write! Whether it's something just for yourself or something you want to share with other people, if you want to write, do it, don't just let it stay as ideas. For those who want to dedicate themselves to professional writing, like me, I also recommend reading a lot and analyzing the works you like, they can serve as guides. But above all, write because it makes you happy, don't feel obligated to publish or stress about not having as many interactions as you would like, sometimes things come in their time, but the magic is in the experience of slowly weaving your ideas together and turning them into an amazing story.

I follow a lot of incredible and talented writers here on Tumblr. Even though I follow a lot of writers whose work I haven't gotten around to reading yet, I know they'll be great and I can't wait to check them out!

This is me joining the FMA OC train SDFGHJ LISTEN YES I AM ADDING A THIRD TO ROYAI WITH MY OWN OC BUT HEAR ME OUT-

SO! The quick idea of this guy is that he is an rogue Alchemist that distributes alchemical materials regulated by the state under the table. Originally Roy went to investigate him to arrest him but at the end they reached a deal of Artemi will help Mustang with operations he doesn't want the military to know >:3c

Now the thing about this bug of a man is that he looves learning, both alchemy and everything about people- Specially people, to a concerning degree SDFGH Idunno if stalker is the right word but he does fit someone who tries to find literally every piece of information on someone who he fixates on. Enter Colonel Roy Mustang, a particularly mysterious, high-ranking officer who holds one of the greatest accomplishments of Alchemy - Controlling fire- at his fingerprints AND HE- DOESN'T SHARE IT!! ROY THINK ABOUT THE ALCHEMICAL COMMUNITY AND OUR PROGRESS!!

This makes him start fixating and stalking Roy, trying to figure out how to get Flame Alchemy out of him and why he keeps it secret. Is not even out of malice is genuine curiosity and a bit of annoyance over someone keeping something secret from him LOL. This eventually leads him to Riza's hometown where he learns about a long-dead alchemist that never interacted with anyone else- Berthold Hawkeye. And finally having made the connection and realizing the key isn't Roy but RIZA it makes him even more obsessed. On her.

LIKE OMG! I ignored her just as another subordinate but she is the key! Kept right in his shadow! So clever! And it turns out is even HARDER to find things about Riza and her relationship with Alchemy. At this point he finds her more interesting that Roy because whatever the fuck is going on with her is so!! Entertaining for him to try and take apart <3

I think he would eventually figure out the alchemical formula is somewhere in Riza's body, and here is where the weird, third-party in the Royai ship bit comes from ASDFGH I mean, he might stalk and find everything about his subjects, but he is not a creep, he needs Riza to show him consensually! He also doesn't want to anger Roy, he likes the guy! So now he is trying to insert himself in their situationship so he can be in the cuck throne getting a good peek at that Flame Alchemy formula....

I WILL SAY he does really like them both genuinely and he doesn't want to hurt them, is just... whatever it is, it is not romantic or even sexual attraction is a weird third secret thing ASDFGHJKL I also want to explore some stuff with him like Royai's relationship with Alchemy and their own morals.... I AM ACTUALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS CONCEPT AND WHATEVER IS GOING ON IN HERE!!! I spin them in my brain

I do really want to do more stuff with him btw I am just. Not particularly motivated to draw or busy 😭But I would like to at least do more art of him! And maybe one day write a fanfic or something who knows... I just have a bunch of random scenes floating in my brain............

OMG hi hello !!! I'd be glad to impart some words of wisdom when it comes to oc making ... if I had any remotely coherent thoughts on it DKSJFH however I'll still try my best :thumbsup: you're free to give me more context if you wish ! this got a bit long so. read more be upon ye KJDSHF

When it comes to making a plot for OCs, my first thought is basically, What kind of situation do I want to see my characters in? How are they gonna get through this, and what do they stand to gain, or lose? What's the kind of story you want to tell? It's important to ask yourself questions but ultimately You'd have to make up the answers yourself, too...which is both the fun and the scary part, I know KJDHFS The answers you're looking for could come from literally anywhere you'd like, tbh. Could be as simple as "they need to pay their bills" to something as complex as "they need to foil a main antagonist's master plan". I think it's good to write down all your ideas somewhere for this. It's fun and it's also very very important that you can go back to it later.

Going back to finding answers when it comes to plot, you can either look into your characters (their motivations, the character arc you want them to go through) and/or the world itself (lore rules and world building). I saw a post talking about this once but i didn't have it saved, BUT the gist of it is, your characters, your plot, and your world should influence each other so everything comes together to form a very coherent and effective story. Though ofc it's not always that way! I'm personally not the best when it comes to world building, because I'm very picky with the world details I choose to make relevant to my stories. If you don't have elaborate lore in your world that's totally fine too, but if you want to approach it with the world lores you can start by asking "what kind of system does this world operate on? and how can i use this system to either create conflict for the characters on their quest/maybe make their quest easier for them?" Even if the world isn't as elaborate as some high fantasy or heavy sci-fi worlds out there, its relationship to the plot is probably gonna be the one thing you'd need to focus on. Even if the world rules are the same as ours, you could find something to make a story out of it, if that makes sense!

When it comes to finding answers within your characters, a good question to start is, "why are your characters the characters of your plot?" what is their personal stake in all this? why do they continue to get involved in the plot? it's both a good way to develop the relationship between your OCs and the plot, as well as developing a better grasp of your OCs in general. I think the best advice for finding answers is just. making them really. Make as many answers as you can that feels fitting for the character/plot and you can start narrowing your options then. I think it's also important to remember to ultimately have fun with your brain blorbos..! put them in any situation. your answers don't have to be deep or meaningful too, sometimes a simple answer to your plot question is all you need, especially if you want to explore it further. it's also not required (some stories don't need to have an ending) but knowing what your endgame is may help you steer your plot in the direction you want to go, too!

Terribly sorry this is so long and I'm not even sure if it's helpful, but this is what I usually ask myself when developing plot stuff :] original stuff can be overwhelming since the sky's the limit, so it's great to figure out what you want to focus on first. Either way, you should have some good fun as you work on your stuff! some of these may not be fitting for you, and that's 100% alright! hi! just wanted to pop in and day some things about the chapter. before that, about the oc situation, it made pretty angry on behalf of you. cause what?? you are not even first nor the last person using that name during fiction and not. personalities are always different as well because if someone with a different writing style writes it, it is naturally someone else (yeah, look at all those ooc fictional characters!!) not good with comfort words, but i am sure you know your and your oc worth. i love him!!

Just read the art of seduction and gotta say it was sooo much fun!!! Really loved the way you wrote bully/mean!reader and nerdy/kook!! It's always a nice experience to see the roles reversed in stories like that. All the nuances in mcs personality were good too, nice to see her vulnerable side that early cause like yeah it's lots of fun too read mean!readers (really, I love that trope) but seeing the side that's usually not shown that early is so great cause we can sympathize even more with her. And the fact that kook seemed so genuinely scared of her?? God have mercy on me! Fantastic! otp(s) + shipname(s): maybe its the ace in me but i've never been a huge shipper (i love a good ship im just never thinking about them lol). If I had to pick one it'd probably be msr just because the canon leaves them open to so much interpretation (I love normal msr but am also a huge fan of qpr msr or ace interpretations). recommend one of your favorite fanfics: im still trying to get more into fanfic. Here's a couple i've enjoyed so far. Queen of Swords by Labyrinth01 - character study-esque fic of Scully's recovery after her coma in s2. Stews in the reality of recovery, her relationship with Mulder is so in-character in the way that if this was in the show, i would believe it. the dusting of fall (the ridges of your bones) by the_raving_raven - one of my fav fics and i haven't even finished it. Super slow moving, so angsty, a big character study fic for dean winchester but it also delves into a really painful process of addiction recovery from sam and some of castiel's 'religious' trauma as well. Tomorrow is Long by SamQuixote - de-age supernatural fic but its the angsty kind instead of the shenanigans kind. an interesting study on dean's mentality and thought processes Cheer For Me? by darlingSuperstition - a lighter recommendation compared to the other three lol. this is a ranma1/2 fic but its like... secret identity mutual pining cheerleading au and for me not being a huge fluff person, i love it

Rant about Nina Hopkins / Nina The Killer as a character

so i like nina a lot.... could u guys tell...... i bet u couldnt.... no but srsly i like her because her story has a lot more to it then "i went crazy and killed my entire family" she had LAYERS she didnt want to kill her brother nor did she start out crazy - nobody did tbh but she didnt start off hating her family like some of the other pastas nor was her family bad to her, she was a normal kid !!!!

she was bullied because of her interests and literally just being herself, thats what resonates with me because that happens irl!!! its not just "oh shes ugly" its was her interests and her being HERSELF!!! and i think shes very neurodivergent coded, like her hyperfixation couldve been jeff considering how much she focused on him without even trying to be obsessed with him

her story is so much more than what google says or whatever, even the creator of nina has said so themselves!!! "Nina was once a normal fangirl of Jeff the Killer but turned into an insane and remorseless serial killer after one horrible day at school." NOOOO thats not it ughh fandom wiki why are you SO dumb, it didn't just happen in a day. her backstory happened over weeks and a large time frame of her slowly losing her sanity, jeff slowly manipulated her into becoming what she did

she didnt just decide to comit to being a murderer over night, she didnt want to kill her brother she was tricked into thinking she was saving him from the world when she WASNT ughh. Jeff knew what he was doing and the creator also didnt just make nina admire her because the creator liked jeff, no, the creator of nina knew how to properly write manipulation and they knew that jeff was in the wrong in that story. YOU DONT SEE THAT OFTEN IN CREEPYPASTA BACKSTORIES

in many oc backstories they're all like, "slenderman saved me from my abusive family." but with nina the creator KNEW jeff was bad and wrote it like that on purpose because it wasnt meant to be romantic it was meant to be an outlet oc. Nina wanted to protect her brother and idolized Jeff for "protecting" his brother when in reality he screwed up the both of their lives, Nina didn't realize that because she was a TEENAGER!!!! She didn't know any better and she doesn't deserve the hate she recieved. im not playing the age card but cmon, she faced all that hate and bullying of course she's going to believe the first person who tells her that shes worthy of love and shes capable of something.

"Nina was the reflection of everyone who admired Jeff and wanted justice as he did." Nina's creator was 13 years old when nina was made, she was bullied irl a lot. A LOT. She had nina as an outlet and a comfort oc who admired Jeff and wanted JUSTICE like he did because he stopped his bullies. She is so much more than a fangirl omg.

the attached photo is from the creators rant where they abandoned nina as an oc, that was the last paragraph. "I want to hug Nina and, maybe, give her the well-deserved story one day, something interesting and true to the creepypastas,

in the rant the creator talks about how they would wake up every single day to 25+ comments of people telling them to kill themselves, that their oc sucks, and drawings of peoples own creepypasta ocs killing nina

My personal favourite was "Shackled" 🤭

"The Switch" by Rinster is truly one of the best DL fanfiction I have ever read. The story telling, the boy characterization, the fact that it's choices based, meaning your actions can have consequences it's still ongoing, but so far it has 74 chapters, which should be plenty for now!

If you're looking for art that really captures the mood of the different routes, @ausd has amazing art that captures that chilling feeling, especially laitos route mmm CHEFS KISS everytime I look at their art it's just!

If you want some analysis that'll make you cry read "The Fall of Yui Komori: A Partial Analysis of Laito’s HDB Route" by @everything-laito I swear after reading this I needed to put my phone down and take a breath of fresh air it definitely gave me a new found perspective on just how strong Yui it's just so good.

While my mental health is still going under a diagnose I can not say for sure if I'm mentally stable, that is, the reason of my posts and why I became a writer even if it's stacking a pile on my free-time is still unknown to me, I just felt like it, for some sort of escapism. first of all I love the assassin freeloader yuri. the little comic panel you did is great storytelling I have no idea why it’s embarrassing!! I actually think it’s great characterization. while I was aware they were toxic and codependent I don’t think I really thought about their mindsets as a whole and.. woagh..

i might be totally off-base because I have a horrible memory and kind of forgot what you wrote about their dynamic BUT!! i have a debilitating obsession with the committed situationship but one of them is sleeping around archetype. does things to my brain.

would it be a reach to say that freeloader is very put off by committing to anything not only because she is trying to push the other to snap but also because she can not put trust in another person. i don’t know I feel like it makes her uncomfortable to know she cares about someone maybe and continues to hook up with other people to remind herself that, no, you don’t need this person. you need to remind them (assassin) you don’t need them. and yet! using up their money home etc. next level manipulation and toxicity. and the assassin! the wanting to lock her up keep her inside not let her do a thing. dreaming about keeping them forever away from other people with insane jealousy issues ouuu.. there’s so many thoughts in my head right now.

on their relationship chart you put inevitable crash and burn iirc.. do you think this would end in one being killed in a jealous rage or something different? thinking about one of them finally losing it and it is a complete bloodbath! i don’t know though nobody should trust me with trying to understand ocs because I ultimately devolve into imagining the most toxic scenario and ending possible. fun fact I had to rework all of my lore because in the original literally everyone either ended up dead or unhappy in some way and I decided it was too cruel + I like hurt/comfort and we need good things sometimes.

I'm just embarrassed about my sketch art style but im glad u like the story! i totally agree with ur interpretation…. both of them have really bad abandonment issues that show in very different ways. Sumire is scared of trusting her partner fully and is always seeking affirmation in the form of jealousy. by cheating she feels more in control of the situation, but subconsciously she probably thinks she doesn't deserve affection and is trying to self-sabotage herself before anyone can do it to her.

Iyo also has abandonment issues but she copes by suppress her feelings so that the other person doesn't get tired of her. this backfires though as it just builds up and builds up.. coupled with the constant nightmares of people she's killed, her mental state is held together by a very loose thread (hence her crying fits).

Together they really make the worst combo huh lol. but deep down they are extremely similar which is what makes it so good..

I'm not very good at writing stories so i really havent thought up a concrete ending for them, but they have way too many problems and i can't ever see them going to couple's therapy, so its gotta be a crash and burn at some point. i believe they'd eventually have a nasty breakup in the rain (definitely due to something Iyo did), one of them gets stabbed by a person with a vendetta against Iyo, and the rest is up to ur imagination. it could really go either way (happy or tragic).

for all the toxic yuri i write, i surprisingly don't really enjoy reading tragedies all that much lol. my favorite outcome is when couples find a delicate balance to their madness. something that is so obviously toxic or wrong to an outsider. its like they are in their own co-dependent world, and it really solidifies the feeling of "you're the only one who'll understand me". but i guess the extension of that would eventually lead to them dying together so maybe i actually do like tragedies (heh)

re: that post about hypothetical 'dislike' buttons on fics and mean/critical reviews, I started writing fic in the early 00's when the general etiquette of 'reviewing' was that everyone was entitled to be as openly critical of fanfics as they liked bc the writer 'deserved' it for writing something like a female self-insert OC ('Mary Sue', any female OC was synonymous with that for awhile, and for some haters out there that's still the case) and/or struggling with grammar/spelling whathaveyou and 'It's out for public consumption so writers just need to get a thick skin and deal with it' and/or 'Critical feedback is important to improve a writer's skill1!!! I'm doing them a favor!!1!!'. I'm glad we've come around to an era of fandom where it seems most people generally accept that unsolicited critical reviews ('flames' as we called them back then) are rude and the people who still leave them are shunned/corrected accordingly.

Bc like yeah, I'm not going to dispute that constructive criticism CAN be helpful, but I think an important part of it actually being helpful is 1) the writer's consent/interest in receiving it in the first place -bc we're talking about FANFIC not a professionally published work- and 2) the person offering the concrit understanding and respecting what the writer's goals are and having points to offer that are actually useful to that end. Like, if someone has set out to write a self-indulgent self-insert OC romance story, telling them that OCs, OC x canon is trash and they should consider writing a entirely different story than the one they're working on isn't constructive or helpful in any way, it's just one person trying to enforce their own fic preferences on an unwilling participant when they could just as easily avoid the tropes they don't want to see in the first place. That kind of 'criticism' isn't so much helpful feedback as it is an attempt to gatekeep what kind of fanfic should be written at all based on specific personal standards, it doesn't allow for the reality that different people are looking for different things in stories and they should be allowed to write/read what they want to. It doesn't allow for the reality that not everything is intended for everyone. It absolutely stifles creativity and diversity within fandom/fanfic communities.

Not to mention it's just, imo, very arrogant? To like, deputize oneself as the highest authority and greatest mind on writing in the world and feel like one's negative input is some kind of god's gift to the writer and they should be grateful to receive these 'pearls of wisdom' they didn't even ask for in the first place?? Like, who the fuck are you lol??? If I'm writing a self insert mary sue OC x canon and my entire goal in doing that is to be self-indulgent and have fun, you're not exactly helping anything by telling me I shouldn't be writing that at all just bc you think it's cringe. That's not concrit, that's just being an entitled ass over how someone else plays with their toys, like let's be so fr here!!! JUST READ SOMETHING ELSE!!! Or better yet get to your keyboard and write the story YOU want to read instead of dragging other people down!!!

And the hypothetical notion that we should have 'dislike' or downvote buttons on fics makes me want hurl something through a window tbh, like that wouldn't ever be abused by trolls and/or just kill most people's drive to put their work out at all /s

idk I just feel like actual, helpful constructive criticism comes from those who understand and appreciate the genre they're commenting on (and even better if they've written within it themselves). It's not 'ew OC x canon is so dumb this makes no sense to me it's OOC' or whatever, it's more like 'omg I remembered your OC had trauma from this past event, maybe it could influence their reaction in this other scene??' THAT is understanding the assignment, THAT is being helpful and constructive, THAT is actually bringing something to the table that the writer can use!!!

Sometimes though I really do worry we could slide back into that Age of Entitlement, what with all the purity contests in fandom nowadays, an alarming amount of people seeing no issue in pushing their own preferences and agendas on other people's work bc it's 'problematic' to them or whatever, that culture of feeling emboldened to harass people bc 'they deserve it for writing x ship' etc and I really, really hope we can hold on to the underappreciated art of minding our own fucking business lmao

so if I had to really think it over Simon and Margaret possible relationship I'd guess that simon would be admiring Margaret from afar because she’s pretty and confident and doesn’t care what others think. But since she’s always with Bif, he keeps his distance, not wanting to deal with it because they really hate him hanging around, and if they even caught him having a slight crush on gord's older sister he'd be fucked, so he just swallow his emotions and keep them on the low.

I'd think that Margaret sees Simon as the quiet, broody type (even though he's the opposite but he's always on his tiptoes around the other rich kids). She’s not rude to him, but she’s not friendly either, especially with Bif around. some Casual Interactions When no one's Around would be like, Simon keeping conversations short and polite, maybe melting or smiling awkwardly if she complemented him or talked about anything honestly (he'd crash out is someone caught him drooling like that, but again who blames him?)

Margaret would be respectful but not overly warm. She keeps it civil but isn’t interested in getting close. Respect but Distant unlike the other preps who really do not respect him. Simon would admire Margaret for being confident and independent, but he knows they’re not completely from the same world. Margaret respects Simon for doing his own thing, but doesn’t see a need to interact more. She’s not rude, just indifferent.

Simon stays quiet and observes around her, offering small comments. He feels like an outsider whenever he stood next to her even if it wasn't by his choice, Margaret is smart she knows how bif would react if she was to befriend Simon, but again why would she really? sticks with her group, staying polite is all what matters. If Bif’s not around, she might engage slightly, but still keeps it minimal because bif is her one and only man.. her future husband, and she made that clear for everyone.

AND FOR KEVIN AND MATTEO (i paired them because I think they'd really make a good drama lol) they would probably have lots of fun, chaotic, and easygoing dynamic. Since they’re both Greasers they’d naturally spend time together but their personalities would make their interactions pretty entertaining and who knows.. sometimes even draining.

Kevin, being the friendly guy he is, would probably be one of the first to welcome Matteo to the clique (even maybe the one to intrest him to join from the first place? he's mostly in for johnny tho). He wouldn’t pressure him to fit in, just go with the flow and that's why I like em.

Matteo being energetic and a bit rebellious, would click with Kevin quickly. He’d like that Kevin doesn’t judge him for being hyper or flirtatious or I don't even know what to call it but you get me. They’d have an almost brotherly bond—joking around, teasing each other, and probably getting into stupid antics together. I said almost brotherly because when Kevin is so shit deep in his unreturned (not really) feelings for simon, matteo is to who he goes.. he forgets about it when his fingers are deep in matteos jacket and lips on each other, but it never goes further or serious nor personal, just simple like smoking a cigarette and letting out some steam.

Matteo’s hyperactive nature would sometimes make Kevin roll his eyes, and even question their friendship, but he wouldn’t actually mind it. Kevin’s patience means he’d just laugh it off. Matteo would definitely try to drag Kevin into his pranks and shit, especially against the preps. Kevin might go along with it, depending on how much effort it takes.

Since Kevin loves motorcycles and Matteo loves rock ‘n’ roll, they’d probably bond over mixing both of it together, music and cars, the best part of their week. well... If Matteo ever gets in trouble for being too reckless, Kevin would be the one dragging him out of fights or warning him when he’s going too far. Kevin isn’t one to hold grudges, so even if Matteo annoyed him sometimes or pulled shit on him, he’d brush it off and keep treating him like the usual (but not when he tried pulling shit on simon ones).

If they ever fought, it’d be over Matteo doing something too wild or just Targeting the wrong person (simon), like taking a prank too far or getting in trouble with the wrong people. Kevin would in fact yell or get aggressive—he’d boycott him for a while too or something. Matteo would sulk for like five minutes before feeling annoyed about it?? (bruh I don't know how he'd react honestly) and yeah Simon fuckin hates matteo to his core, but again he hates everyone that could be closer than him to Kevin, he's petty like that. but overall Kevin definitely has to keep Matteo in check sometimes and he enjoys their time together very much.
