isagi is naturally a caring boyfriend, so after your first time together, he’s all about making sure you’re okay – grabbing you water, cuddling you close, whispering sweet words in your ear. 

but when you stiffen up and look at him like he’s doing something strange, he immediately catches on. 

"what’s wrong?" he asks, concern lacing his voice. 

you hesitate before admitting, "i just… didn’t think you’d still be here." 

his heart breaks. what do you mean you didn’t think he’d be here? why would he just leave after something so intimate? 

"baby, of course i’m still here. where else would i go?" he says, holding your face so gently it makes you want to cry. 

when you explain that past partners never stayed, never held you, never took care of you, he pulls you impossibly closer. 

"that’s not love, and i love you." 

he spends the rest of the night making sure you feel cherished – wrapping you in his arms, massaging your sore muscles, kissing your forehead. he’s so soft with you, and it’s the first time you’ve ever felt truly wanted beyond the act itself.

rin isn’t the most openly affectionate guy, but after your first time together, he insists on cleaning you up, pulling you into his chest, and whispering a quiet "you good?" 

you’re just laying there, unmoving, and he notices the way your body tenses. 

"what’s with that look?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. 

"i just… didn’t think you’d stay." 

excuse him??? 

his entire face darkens as he processes what you just said. 

"what kind of assholes have you been with?" 

when you explain that no one’s ever done aftercare for you before, he literally scoffs. 

"so they just… left?" his voice is sharp, irritated, like he’s actually offended on your behalf. 

he doesn’t say much after that, but his actions speak louder than words – he presses you against him, arms wound tightly around your body, refusing to let you go. 

"get used to this," he mumbles against your skin, his tone softer now. "i’m not them. i’d never do that to you." 

for the first time, you believe it.

itoshi sae

sae isn’t big on words, but after your first time together, he immediately starts taking care of you. he runs a warm towel over your body, gets you some water, and even offers to get you food. 

but you just sit there, looking completely stunned. 

"what?" he asks, confused. 

you hesitate, voice quiet when you say, "i’ve never had someone do this for me before." 

cue the slow blink. he looks at you like you just spoke another language. 

"so they just fucked you and left?" 

he says it so bluntly that you almost feel embarrassed, but he’s not trying to make you feel bad – he’s genuinely shocked and maybe a little pissed. 

"that’s not how you treat someone you care about." 

pulls you into his chest, his heartbeat steady against your ear, fingers threading through your hair in slow, soothing strokes. 

"i'm not going anywhere, got it?" his voice is softer now, but there's undeniable certainty in it. 

he refuses to let you feel like an afterthought. 

shidou ryusei

shidou is wild in bed, but aftercare is just as important to him. after your first time together, he’s all over you – peppering kisses on your skin, rubbing your back, murmuring sweet nothings. 

but then he notices how stiff you are. 

"babe, you good?" he asks, tilting his head. 

"i just… didn’t expect this." 

"expect what?" 

"i thought you'd leave." 

record scratch. 

"you what?" 

he pulls back, blinking at you like you just said the craziest thing in the world. then, his expression shifts. his usual cocky smirk replaced with something more serious.  

"who the fuck hurt you?" 

when you explain, he literally groans in frustration. "ugh, you’ve been with some real losers, huh?" 

shidou may be chaotic, but he’s not heartless. and he sure as hell isn't the type to leave someone he cares about like that. 

"you’re mine, yeah? you think i’d just hit it and quit it? nah, sweetheart. i take care of my girl." 

makes extra sure you feel loved – cuddles you so tight you can’t escape, runs his hands up and down your body, even feeds you snacks. 

"get comfy, baby. you’re stuck with me."

Like, for example: Stiles going to the fbi and being way too comfortable with just. Everything. They all think hes just weird like that but then theres weapons training and Stiles doesnt even flinch when someone points a gun at his head.

I need more dad Curvo content in my life. Like come on. He raised Celebrimbor. I fully believe Tyelpë is how he is in part because of his father.

Curufin saw the problems within himself and Fëanor - the immense pride and paranoia - and made sure his son grew up strong, yes, but also kind. Nurtured that gentle side because even if it was too late for him, it wasn’t too late for Tyelpë.

(That’s what pushed him to follow Fëanor, to rush out of Valinor and find a way to defeat Morgoth: Curufin needed to make a world where his son would be safe, and that inspired a passion and ruthlessness his brothers could never understand. They didn’t know what it was to see your child’s fear and be unable to do anything to reassure them. When the Trees went out Tyelpë screamed, clinging to his father and mother with a sound that would haunt Curufin until his death.)

Little Tyelpë whose heart was so good and open and trusting, it broke him to see some of that light dim in Beleriand. He tried to create areas for Celebrimbor’s inherent optimism and gentleness to flourish and grow, but in a world steadily growing more dangerous, it became increasingly difficult. Then the Bragollach happened.

Finrod wasn’t his favourite cousin, but he saw the opportunity for Tyelpë to recover and thrive. To live without his father and uncles’ bitterness hanging over his head, and he took it.

With it Curufin made sure his son wouldn’t fall to the vices that haunted his family, guiding him to assimilate into Finrod’s city and take his half-cousin as a role model no matter how he hated it. Celebrimbor wasn’t the revenge driven elf his uncles and grandfather were, and if Curvo had done this right, he never would be.

So whether he purposefully pushed Celebrimbor away from the family or not, I’m sure a part of him was so relieved and proud when he stood up, back straight, head held high, and said ‘no.’

Curufin could never draw the line when it came to his father. But he made sure Celebrimbor could.

And as far as he was concerned, he’d succeeded in far better than regaining a silmaril by the time he was killed.

Everybody has a least basic medical knowledge to various degrees. Enough to assist in surgery. Enough to administer first aid. Enough to keep each other alive until Law gets there.

Shachi is the best swimmer on the crew. Penguin is second best.

Shachi is part fishman. Penguin is just competitive like that.

They have a funky little garden room on the Tang that everybody takes turns helping care for, but Uni is the one in charge of it

Uni is the kind of guy who will just kind of. lurk. Stand there and not say anything until he's directly spoken to

Hakugan is the youngest member of the crew and Jean Bart is the oldest

Law is actually nearer the younger end of the crew, but if he stops to think about how many of his men are older that him, he'll start getting some weird impostor syndrome. So he doesn't think about that.

Thinking about Dan Heng and Himeko's relationship...

They're literally mother and her son, your honor! Himeko was the one who found Dan Heng and, after he helped her, she offered him becoming a nameless.

(the fact that Dan Heng only joined in after she said he can leave whenever is incredibly sad.)

Himeko is a really observant person, I imagine she saw that Dan Heng did want to join, but was hesitant. That's why she started saying all those things, not to force him into joining but to make him realize that he wants to join out of his own free will.

Himeko notices everything about Dan Heng. She noticed how he became less cold and more open to TB and March, she noticed how much more comfortable he is, she noticed that he wouldn't even join if he hadn't been given an actual job.

That brings me to a pure headcanon of mine:

At first, Dan Heng disliked Himeko. He disliked her because of how observant she was and how easily she could see right through him.

Dan Heng is a person who appears to be stoic, cold, and a one who, quite frankly, doesn't give a fuck. Yet Himeko immediately noticed how he wanted to join, she immediately noticed that he isn't a cold-hearted douchebag but a kind child, who's been hurt by the world. Himeko has read through him the moment he stepped onto the Express.

And Dan Heng probably hated that.

He respected her as his senior, as someone with lots of knowledge. Yet, the way she could read him like an open book was too much. He felt watched by her, even if it wasn't true. He felt like Himeko would use it against him.

Yet, Himeko never did. She would never use that knowledge against him. If so, it only helped. Himeko probably knew about Dan Heng's nightmares, she was there for him countless of times. She didn't say anything about them, she just sat with him, waited till he calmed down and fell asleep. The next day, she didn't try to talk with him about it, no. She left it the way it was.

Dan Heng realized that maybe Himeko's observation skills weren't so bad. Perhaps, they worked in his favour. He didn't have to voice out the vulnerable feelings that we're threatening to spill. Himeko would notice and wait for him, she would never try and make him talk.

That's when Dan Heng has begun to warm up to Himeko, the same way he did to Welt.

We also know that Himeko makes extremely bitter coffee... And Dan Heng is the only express member who can handle it.

Is it because he genuinely likes it? Does he want to test his senses? Or maybe, he doesn't want to upset the woman who has given him love, home and comfort when he needed it the most? Who knows.

What we definitely know is how badly Dan Heng respects Himeko and how he's ready to help her with everything, just for giving him a chance. "Himeko, you can leave any contingencies to me." is probably his way of thanking her for all she has done for him. He wants to take things off of her shoulders and show her how grateful he is.

(Also, in the JP dub, he calls her "Himeko-San", which also says a lot about his respect towards her.)

hii, Big fan of ur AN Other AU and your designs in general (The butch Jane in me compliments the butch Jane in you) so hmm, I may or may not have made some sketchs with ur designs while I was studying anatomy, they look silly I'm afraid.

I wanted to make a silly contrast between them, John suppose to give a more softer prey (omg references) look while Jane is a more of an apex hunter. Jane has more muscle mass than John and overall a sharper demeanor and a shady look, ik she's pratically a sniper but at somepoint she has to throw hands with someone (and she's good at it.) she's pretty much battle scarred bcuz hmm fights hmm

John still extremely strong, however, that fact get overshadowed because he looks crazy soft (that's also servers as contrast between OG John and AU John, too. prey animal and apex predator and all 🫡) he's slightly paler than Jane bcuz hmm eye injury me thinks (and bcuz he's a nerd)

concept: in an alternate universe where the three princes arrive in rhodolite after emma leaves, five years after chevalier's coronation, silvio ricci—"mr. secretly a caring brother"—decides to take a stroll around the capital to clear his mind.

he's been trying to find valerio for ages, and he'd briefly thought that maybe his brother is still in rhodolite, but for whatever reason, he can't seem to get any leads. after making the questionable decision to drink, he ends up wandering into the bustling markets of the city.

a pair of brothers catches his gaze. the older one is buying the younger one a treat—and really, they can't be too old. silvio has had little interaction with kids, but he'd guess them to be around the early teens. and it makes him think of how he was never able to do anything like that for valerio.

naturally, in the middle of cursing his brother out, he happens to hear a vaguely familiar voice professing his love for some woman named emma. he has to rub his eyes to make sure he's seeing things right and—

yup, blonde hair, blue eyes. an earring. the face of a man he loathes, though not as much as his mother.

and in front of his kneeling self—

a clearly pregnant woman who looks on, with amusement glittering in her brown eyes as she gracefully accepts the offered rose. silvio thinks he might be going insane.

"emma" then proceeds to pull him up and the lady selling flowers giggles about how wonderful it is that they're so in love. the guy from the stall next door hollers about how, since it's rio, it's to be expected.

they leave and silvio does not follow them.

what silvio does do is go back to his room in the castle and punch the wall, unable to figure out how he should feel about the fact that valerio is married with a kid on the way. one thing's for sure though:

emidio must not know.

so, silvio packs up and leaves for benitoite, and in about two years, even those in rhodolite whisper about how the second prince attempted to commit treason—and admitted, in a fit of rage, that he was the one who sent valerio to die.

(for this, the king begrudgingly thanks silvio and offers to make him king. but silvio pretends he hasn't already found valerio and vows to find him.)

then, silvio returns to rhodolite.

and finds out that the child valerio's wife was carrying was their second child, after a brat who happens to be the splitting image of valerio overhears asking about "rio" and "emma".

this kid is nothing less than a blabbermouth. within thirty minutes, silvio's aware of his history and "rio"'s too. he knows that valerio's second born is a girl, that he's disappointed that neither of his two children look like his wife, and that they'll probably not stop at two kids. he knows that the kid's name is elliott, that he's named to match the first letter of his mom's name—it's the same for his sister, who is named rhys, after his dad.

and yet, despite the fact that being armed with this seemingly useless knowledge comorts him, he's too much of a coward to try and approach valerio. after all, emidio's dead. valerio seems happier than he ever was in the benitoite's court. isn't it selfish to drag valerio back solely for silvio's pride?

(a part of him is also jealous of elliot's long list of uncles, who he suspects to be rhodolite's princes—most frequent are nokto, yves, leon, clavis, and luke. sometimes, jin and licht. chevalier, surprisingly, does ask after him and rhys, but never visits. sariel keeps tabs on them, just in case)

so he runs before his sister-in-law arrives to take elliot home.

and rinse and repeat. days bleed into weeks and he's not keen about letting them bleed into months, even if he views elliott as a "second chance."

but he doesn't have to.

valerio comes to him.

apparently, he's seen silvio hanging around his son. his wife is delighted that elliott's made a friend, even if he is older than she'd hoped for, and also a bit concerned about silvio's identity, so she wanted to invite him to dinner.

unfortunately, elliott told rio about how silvio once told him to cherish and protect his sister. he said that he couldn't protect his brother from getting hurt, and that he hopes valerio is happy.

the names are what tipped rio off.

there was other identifying information too, but rio already had his memories. the names were all he needed.

you see, he'd started having an inkling of his identity when emma was belle. he'd been pouring over some texts about benitoite and he thought some of it felt strangely familiar. but he kept those thoughts hidden because he was afraid of letting emma know. it was when emidio was arrested that his memoried fully started coming back.

[we now take a brief intermission to talk about how rio married the love of his life:

emma, whilst fretting over her uncontrollable feelings, is looking at the "engagement ring". rio comes in, and for a moment, they simply stare at each other.

then rio correctly guesses that this is something he had on him before. emma confides in him that she thinks it's an engagement ring, which causes rio to realize why she would push him away.

he tells her that he has no interest in returning home. he wanted to die, after all. it's likely nothing was waiting for him. and, if it is an engagement ring, he probably bought it because he knew he'd be meeting the love of his life soon (this makes her hit him on the shoulder). rio thinks he likely wasn't engaged at all.

this causes emma to decide that she wants to be selfish, even if it means living with that kind of guilt.

the rest is history.]

rio: "i really don't want you to meet emma...what if you fall in love with her? she's so pretty, i can see it happening."

silvio: "huh? why would—"

rio: "...but i need someone to testify that i wasn't engaged before i lost my memories. i didn't have a lover either. my wife's been holding onto this misconception, so i want to clear it up immediately."

silvio takes it for the olive branch it is. everyone and their grandmothers know that he's been searching for valerio. it's really no surprise that rio would realize his intentions.

the next night, he joins rio and his family for dinner. silvio brings flowers for emma and gifts for each of the munchkins, and for rio, he shoves a bottle of wine at him. his reddened ears don't have the luxury of returning to normal because elliott starts pointing out how his ears are super red. they have an enjoyable dinner, after which emma reintroduces herself as his sister-in-law and they confirm that they'll hold off on telling elliott, like silvio wants them to.

silvio is a coward though, so he tells elliott on literally the last day of his stay in rhodolite. elliott makes him promise to come back soon, and rio and emma, who are there to pick elliott up, reveal that they might go visit silvio instead.

[this is because someone manages to spill silvio's secret to the king. which means rio would need to establish himself to better protect his family.]
