Maintaining Academic Curiosity: Fostering Lifelong Learning
New Post has been published on https://www.justwebdevelopment.com/blog/maintaining-academic-curiosity-fostering-lifelong-learning/
Maintaining Academic Curiosity: Fostering Lifelong Learning
In the fast-paced world of today, the search for knowledge doesnāt end when one leaves the classroom. Be it in high school, college, or bridging to the working world, keeping oneās curiosity in academic pursuits is the key to both personal and professional development. Life-long learning not only expands the mind but also makes one more adaptable, innovative, and resilient. For learners in the UK, developing the culture of lifelong learning can positively impact academic performance, especially when combined with the right academic support, such as assignment help, contributing to long-term success.
Ā Ā Why Academic Curiosity is Important
Academic curiosity goes beyond a love for reading textbooks or earning high marks. Itās the natural urge to learn new things, grasp complicated concepts, and challenge the world. This curiosity ignites critical thinking, enhances problem-solving abilities, and sparks innovation. In todayās competitive educational environment, particularly for students looking for assignment assistance, being curious is a great advantage.
Ā Advantages of Academic Curiosity:
Increases Engagement: Inquisitive students are more inclined to engage actively in class, ask questions, and initiate projects.
Promotes Deeper Learning: Rather than memorizing facts, inquisitive learners seek to comprehend the āwhyā and āhowā of concepts.
Improves Career Opportunities: Employers prefer applicants who demonstrate a desire to learn and evolve.
Develops Self-Motivation: Inner motivation supplants outer pressure, decreasing stress and burnout.
Ā Strategies to Encourage Lifelong Learning
Lifelong learning starts with habits and a mind open to it. Following are practical strategies for maintaining academic curiosity outside the classroom.
1. Establish Personal Learning Objectives
Instead of having only formal academic tests as targets, set goals based on oneself. They could be acquiring new knowledge, enhancing writing, or learning something other than what one is studying. Setting goals keeps learning goal-oriented and systematic. When paired with resources like assignment help, these goals become more achievable, allowing students to stay focused while also improving their academic performance.ic.
2. Adopt Curiosity-Motivated Research
Students tend to conduct research purely for the purposes of assignments. Instead, spend time reading journals, watching documentaries, or listening to thought leaders on subjects of interest. This practice turns learning into an adventure.
3. Leverage Digital Tools Properly
Technology is either a distraction or a valuable tool. Utilize learning platforms, online courses, and podcasts to broaden knowledge. Bookmark good academic databases and organize digital notes for easy reference.
4. Work with Your Peers
Study groups arenāt only for homework assistance; they are chances for knowledge sharing. Breaking down concepts to peers solidifies understanding and gives way to varied ideas.
5. Read Broadly and Regularly
Make reading a part of daily life. Read books, blogs, articles, and research papers as part of regular study. Select material that defies assumptions and promotes critical thinking.
6. Reflect and Review
When a module or project is done, reflect. What went well? What did not? What might have been examined in more detail? Reflection reinforces learning and identifies areas to work on.
Ā Lifelong Learning Integrated into Daily Life
Learning need not be limited to lectures and libraries. It can be woven into daily activities to ensure that it is sustainable and enjoyable.
Microlearning Moments
Divide learning into bite-sized, manageable pieces. Listen to a podcast on the way to class, watch a 10-minute educational video, or read an article at lunch.
Interact with Thought Leaders
Subscribe to academics, industry leaders, and professionals on sites such as LinkedIn or Twitter. Interacting with their posts provides exposure to new trends and fresh ideas.
Gamify Learning
Utilize apps and websites that transform study material into interactive games. This technique is particularly helpful for revision and problem-solving practice.
Go to Events and Workshops
Look for low-cost or free events, lectures, and workshops organised by libraries, local organisations, or universities. These have a hands-on learning experience and opportunities for networking.
Although the rewards of lifelong learning are evident, there are obstacles confronting many students that deter academic inquisitiveness. These should be identified and dealt with.
Time Constraints
With classes, part-time work, and private obligations, time can be difficult to find. Make learning a priority by integrating it into daily life and employing scheduling tools to optimise the use of time.
Lack of Motivation
Burnout and academic stress can drain enthusiasm. Divide tasks into smaller objectives, mark progress, and discover new learning modes to rekindle interest.
Fear of Failure
Fear of error usually prevents students from venturing into new areas. Practice a growth mindsetāerrors are good learning tools, not failures.
Limited Resources
Availability of good materials may be a problem. Use university libraries, open-access journals, and free online courses to get around this.
Ā The Educatorās and Institutionās Role
In addition to the studentās responsibility to own learning, institutions have a critical role as well. Learning environments must be created that encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
Fostering Inquiry-Based Learning
Rather than rote memorization, educators should encourage questioning, problem-solving, and critical examination. This establishes a firmer foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Making it Relevant to the Real World
Connecting theory to real-world applications makes learning more relevant and interactive. Case studies, field work, and simulations close the gap between classroom and life.
Flexible Learning Opportunities
Providing various learning forms like online modules, blended classes, and self-paced courses enables students to learn in a manner that accommodates their lifestyles.
Ā Building a Personal Learning Ecosystem
Lifelong learning is viable when underpinned by a strong personal ecosystem.
Create a Learning Space
A dedicated study space minimizes distractions and tells the brain to focus. It doesnāt have to be fancyājust comfortable, quiet, and tidy.
Keep a Learning Journal
Record what is learned on a daily or weekly basis. Add reflections, questions, new terms, and next-step subjects. This consolidates retention and supports self-awareness.
Issue Learning Challenges
Monthly challengesāe.g., reading a book, learning a skill, or taking a short courseākeep things rolling and create a sense of accomplishment.
Ā Utilizing Assignment Help Effectively
Supporting services can become key to maintaining interest and increased confidence. Effectively utilizing assignment help can also alleviate stress as well as facilitate deeper understanding.
When to get assistance:
Stuck on trying to grasp something despite persistent effort
Requiring direction on composing or organizing assignments
Meeting many deadlines at one time
Picking Reliable Aid:
Ā Services that emphasize maintaining academic integrity should be sought along with personalized advice. This avoids having students acquire habits from using the support versus becoming dependent.
Ā Embracing the Mindset of a Lifelong Learner
At the end of the day, cultivating academic curiosity is about adopting a mindset. Lifelong learners are flexible, receptive to change, and always looking to improve.
Traits of a Lifelong Learner:
Curiosity: Constantly asking questions and seeking greater understanding
Resilience: Bouncing back from failures and seeing them as opportunities
Self-Discipline: Setting and staying on track with personal learning objectives
Flexibility: Willing to change oneās views based on new information
Ā Conclusion
Sustaining academic interest is not a one-off exercise but an ongoing process. It turns students into thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovatorsāattributes that are priceless in both academic and professional settings.
For those who need guidance in a structured manner along the way, websites such as Assignment in Need (assignnmentinneed.com)Ā can provide assignment assistance while promoting independent learning and academic development. With the right attitude, tools, and mindset, lifelong learning becomes not only possible but profoundly rewarding.
Keep exploring. Keep questioning. Keep learning.

how do you find a job when
you have no proper experience
you have no diplomas
you have no training in anything
you don't have a driving license
you need your job to be part-time but they're harder to find
you need your job to involve as little contact with customers as possible
you need a job that doesn't require you to take/make phonecalls
you have rejection sensitivity that makes you want to cry and sends you in a spiral of anxiety at the slightest negative remark from both colleague and client, even if they're not being mean about it
you have undiagnosed adhd which makes you unable to take up any training/studies because you just can't get yourself to start something that you're not deeply interested in, and even then it can still be a struggle to focus on learning/studying because your brain just Doesn't Want To no matter how much you do
you are terrified of the plague but no one else gives a shit anymore and you're too chicken to stand up for yourself over wanting to mask amongst people who will either straight up not allow it or make you feel shitty/weird for it
honestly i feel like i could've figured something out with the program the unemployment office is putting me in, i really think it could help me, but then worldwide plague denial happened, so even that program is scary and stressful now :)
the dream would be an entirely remote part-time job but they're much less common in my country, and when there's one I'm not qualified and the amount of tasks to do makes me feel super overwhelmed
#bee rants#i'm so lucky that my apartment is ours so when my dad passes away it'll be mine#but i'll still have food and bills to pay and i'll have to pay for my sister's share of the apartment so i can't stay like this forever :')#except in april i haven't had any income since october and it's the worst....i need a job#the unemployment office sent me on that one program for people with mental and/or physical disabilities and i'm gonna be given an internshi#but it's unpaid and the plague problem remains and the therapist I'm assigned to was even like 'we'll work on that' and i'm just like#I don't want to work on that????#y'all are the ones who are delusional. i'm the reasonable one for wanting to keep wearing a mask here!#i also want to finally get a diagnosis but it costs money and I'm Scared and even people in medical settings look at me weird for masking#maybe i'm just lazy and a coward and trying to find excuses

I just started grad school this fall after a few years away from school and man I did not realize how dire the AI/LLM situation is in universities now. In the past few weeks:
I chatted with a classmate about how it was going to be a tight timeline on a project for a programming class. He responded "Yeah, at least if we run short on time, we can just ask chatGPT to finish it for us"
One of my professors pulled up chatGPT on the screen to show us how it can sometimes do our homework problems for us and showed how she thanks it after asking it questions "in case it takes over some day."
I asked one of my TAs in a math class to explain how a piece of code he had written worked in an assignment. He looked at it for about 15 seconds then went "I don't know, ask chatGPT"
A student in my math group insisted he was right on an answer to a problem. When I asked where he got that info, he sent me a screenshot of Google gemini giving just blatantly wrong info. He still insisted he was right when I pointed this out and refused to click into any of the actual web pages.
A different student in my math class told me he pays $20 per month for the "computational" version of chatGPT, which he uses for all of his classes and PhD research. The computational version is worth it, he says, because it is wrong "less often". He uses chatGPT for all his homework and can't figure out why he's struggling on exams.
There's a lot more, but it's really making me feel crazy. Even if it was right 100% of the time, why are you paying thousands of dollars to go to school and learn if you're just going to plug everything into a computer whenever you're asked to think??

I don't know if this is some kind of reflection on me as a person, but when coding or doing math whenever I get the wrong answer I go through this really intense "the computer is wrong!" phase where it's like the 200th time I'm trying something and there's no obvious place where I'm jacking it up at. "What do you mean 2+2 doesn't equal 5, it's obvious that someone in the great abyss of history is horribly, terribly incorrect about this problem and I'm the only one who realizes it" kind of deal, except I'm also really stubborn when I'm frustrated and I'll keep at it anyway until I figure out what I overlooked. It's almost always a really stupid obvious mistake that I'll gladly fess up to when I find it but the frustration in the interim is insane Anyway I'm never going to forget the time where the program I was using literally was "wrong" because it turned out a word was defined differently on one computer vs the computer next to it and I hadn't been taught about hardware differences yet and I was convinced I was going crazy after I input the same code on two devices and got two separate answers
#compeng#personal#eye contact with the abyss#computer engineering#computer science#coding#this was the same class where I had to correct my own tests on the material I was actively learning because the professor made#so many mistakes that I got like 10 points extra credit in the class for just paying attention to detail#programming#I dont remember what happened to this assignment though but it took me and a team of 5 students cross checking this program to realize we#were all getting wildly different answers. None of us had any idea

Punishment
Pairing: professor Hwang In-ho x student fem!Reader
Summary: You find a creative, albeit unconventional way to get out of the trouble you're in at university.
Word count: 3k
Warnings: sexual content (minors dni), age gap (legal, reader is implied to be in her early to mid 20s), spanking, corporal punishment, masochism, power dynamics, crying, unresolved sexual tension.
āāā
You can tell somethingās off the second you walk through the door, when your cheerful āHello, Mr. Hwang!ā is met with a short, courteous āgood eveningā from the professor.
Itās not rude. Itās not even particularly harsh. It just lacks the usual warmth youāve come to expect from him, the tiny smile on his lips that always greets you.
Being called to see the strict Mr. Hwang In-ho after class usually meant bad news, leaving most students nervous about what they couldāve done wrong. But not you. Youāve lost count of how many times you stayed in this classroom for hours after class was over, discussing a book he had assigned for class or literature in general. Some days youād help him grade tests and homework, when you noticed he had too much work on his back. And some days, the ones you cherished the most, youād talk about things unrelated to class or literature ā politics, your interests, your personal life. His personal life.
Saying you were smitten with him was the understatement of the century. You tried not to pay much attention to the crush you developed on him, hoping it would go away if you just ignored it for long enough, but it only seems to be getting stronger.
āYou wanted to see me?ā you ask, closing the door. Itās generally frowned upon for a student to be alone with a professor with the door closed, but Mr. Hwang never objects. The fact that heās willing to bend the rules for you pleases you a little too much.
āYes.ā His tone is the same as before, not softening now that itās just the two of you. He pinches the bridge of his nose, and you wonder what is it thatās got him in such a bad mood, if something happened in his life. āI have something to show you.ā
He pulls out a piece of paper, setting it on his desk facing you. You approach, your footsteps slightly more hesitant than usual around him.
āDo you recognize this passage?ā he asks, pointing to the highlighted paragraph.
You lean in to read it, an analysis of the similarities between classic English and South Korean literature. You recognize it immediately.
āI wrote it. Thatās from my latest assignment.ā
āYes.ā Heās still not looking at you, rummaging through a pile of papers. Did he not like the assignment? The thought alone upsets you. You worked so hard on it; not only for the sake of keeping your straight-As, but also to impress him. Maybe even more so to impress him. āHow about this one?ā
He sets another sheet of paper in front of you, one of the paragraphs highlighted in his same blue marker.
As you read it, your stomach immediately drops. Itās your paragraph, almost word-by-word, with a few differences that are too minor to even count.
āThis is from Emily Jonesās paper. I believe the two of you are friends.ā
You want to find Emily and strangle her. You told her to change stuff and not just copy from you. Did she really think someone like Mr. Hwang wouldnāt notice? That heād just let it slide?
āI was the one who wrote the original,ā you say. āI didnātāā
āOh, I know that. Iām very familiar with your writing style, and Ms. Jones isnāt nearly as gifted as you. I knew something was wrong the second I read it.ā
You could play the victim, say Emily copied from you without your knowledge, but you know instantly it wouldnāt work, not with Mr. Hwangās dark eyes right on you. Even when youāre not in emotional distress, the man can read you better than anyone else.
āIām sorry.ā You lower your gaze in shame. āEmily needed help, and Iā sheās in the same exchange student program as I am, I know how much she needed the grade.ā
āYou couldāve helped her study, not let her copy off you.ā
āThere wasnāt a lot of time. She came to me last-minute.ā
He sighs. āWell, I will have to fail both of you.ā
āWhat?ā It should be expected, but the words still sting. He knows how hard you work for your good grades. āBut my essay was good.ā
āIt was great. Worthy of an A, if only you hadnāt helped another student with plagiarism. In fact, both of you should be reported for it.ā
āMr. Hwang, please.ā Your eyes are practically begging him for mercy, the pitch of your voice getting ever so slightly higher as your desperation grows. āI can lose my scholarship and my spot at the exchange student program. Do you want me gone?ā
You can see something flash across his eyes ā regret, maybe, or perhaps that warmth youāve been missing since you walked in here ā, just for a split second before theyāre back to normal, even more hardened than before.
āCheating was your choice, not mine. You shouldāve thought of the consequences.ā
āWhat ifā what if I wrote a new paper?ā you bargain. āFor half the grade. I can get it done in just a couple of days!ā
āThe paper is not the point. The point is how my most promising student would waste her talent to help a classmate cheat, and betray the trust I put in her.ā
The praise doesnāt go unnoticed by you, but it fades away so quickly, like trying to hold on to smoke.
āIt was a mistake. One that wonāt happen again.ā
āIām very sorry, Ms. ____.ā
You watch helplessly as he gathers the papers and organizes them back into a folder, the muscles of his arms tensed. He looks angry, but also upset. Disappointed. That sends you into an even bigger panic than a bad grade, or the potential of losing your spot at this university. It grows inside your chest, overwhelming, prompting you to say possibly the worst thing you couldāve come up with in this situation.
āWhat if I just take a whooping?ā
He pauses. For a moment youāre both silent, still as statues as you process your own words, what you just asked for. Heat rises to your face so fast it makes you dizzy.
āWhat?ā
You want to run away from this classroom. You want to go to the airport and take the next plane back to your country, classes and scholarship be damned.
However, now the words are already out, hanging heavy between the two of you. You canāt just back down, show him you spoke without thinking. You force yourself to nod, praying to the gods of every religion you know that your cheeks arenāt red enough that he can notice it.
āYeah. Itās a good punishment,ā you say. āWhy not?ā
āBecause itās not allowed. And because we are not in the 1930s.ā
āYou know in a lot of places corporal punishment in schools is still legal.ā
āAnd Seoul isnāt one of them.ā
āPlease, Mr. Hwang.ā You lower your eyes, trying to hold back the tears that are threatening to rush to the surface. āI know what I did was wrong. But Iād neverā willingly betray your trust. I just want to get my punishment, and for things to be back to normal.ā
Above all, you want him to stop looking at you like he is right now. Like youāre just any other student, like he doesnāt admire you for your passion and intelligence. Like you havenāt been spending almost every evening after class with him instead of hanging out with your classmates, trying to make friends your own age. Like you donāt mean anything to him.
Mr. Hwang regards you for several long moments. You try to hold his intense gaze, to figure out what heās thinking, but both tasks are impossible.
āWould you really put yourself through that for a grade?ā he asks.
You shake your head slightly, but that stubborn determination doesnāt leave your eyes. āItās not just a grade.ā
His respect for you. The friendship you two have tentatively built over the past few months. Thatās what you truly fear losing.
The seconds tick, stretching for so long it feels like torture. Itās so silent in the room you wonder if Mr. Hwang can hear how fast your heart is beating in your chest.
āOkay,ā he says finally, sharply. āFine.ā
āReally?ā Youāre unable to keep the surprise from your voice, from your face, even though you try.
āIf you think you can take it.ā Something about his voice as he says it, the low baritone of it, sends a new rush of warmth to your body; this time descending directly between your legs.Ā
āOf course I can.ā
No, you probably canāt, and youāre well aware of that. But his words sound like a challenge, and a feeling claws at your chest ā perhaps your pride and stubbornness, or simply embarrassment, or something else entirely that youāre not sure how to name ā stops you from taking the words back.
āAlright then.ā He gives a short nod, and youāre unsure if it was meant for you or for himself. āBend over the desk.ā
Why is it that a simple order for him makes your insides twitch like youāre about to pass out? Your legs shake as you take a step closer to his desk, looking down at the papers and folders neatly on top of it. Drawing in a breath, you bend your upper body down until your elbows touch the dark wood.
Itās only then that you notice your compromising position. Emily had joked with you about how the length of your skirts had gotten shorter with every visit to Mr. Hwang, and todayās pick was a plaid skirt that didnāt leave much to the imagination as it was. With you bending down like this, you can feel the fabric follow the movement, exposing even more of you to the professor.
The noise of his belt being removed only makes it worse. You shut your eyes, trying not to picture him letting his pants drop to the floor, trying not to think about how much you wish this is what was happening.
āAre you ready?ā he asks, giving you one last chance to back down. You should take it.
You shut your eyes and nod your head. "Yes."
Thereās a whistle in the air, and you let out a gasp as the first blow lands across your ass. Fuck. Youād seen it coming, and the fabric of the skirt absorbed much of the impact, but it still spreads the first hints of pain over your skin. Another blow directly under the first one, exactly where it should be. You clench your jaw, your mind flying back to childhood memories, to the last spanking you received at eleven years old ā well over a decade ago, and yet you feel much more helpless now, a third blow of the belt making you jump in your spot.
The next one breaks the pattern, hitting on a diagonal angle right on top of the other three. Itās harder than the others too, sharper, slicing even deeper into your already stinging skin. You cry out, unable to hold it back, unable to catch your breath in time not to cry out again when the belt comes down on your ass one more time.
He sets a rhythm of harsh, punishing blows. Theyāre precise and calculated, deliberate, like he really means each and every one of them. Of course he does ā when Professor Hwang sets his mind to something, he doesnāt quit until the job is done, down to the littlest details. And right now, he seems intent on making sure no spot of your ass is left untouched by the belt. He gradually picks up speed, until youāre unsure when one strike ends and the next begins.
It fucking hurts. It hurts so bad you donāt even find it in yourself to be embarrassed when the fabric of your skirt slides up and out of the way, leaving your bottom and your underwear exposed to him.
The pain is even worse when the leather belt makes contact with your bare skin; sharp and blazing hot, like heās setting fire to you. Youāve bitten the inside of your lip hard enough to draw blood, but that doesnāt stop the sounds being ripped out of you, whimpers and cries and something that sounds way too close to Mr. Hwangās name.
He pauses, his breaths heavy behind you. You collapse against the desk, elbows no longer strong enough to keep you propped upwards. With your ear pressed against the surface, you can hear your own heard that thumps wildly inside your chest, all your senses concentrated into a single point in your body.
āDo you want to stop?ā he asks.
His tone isnāt judgmental, but your mind still echoes his words from just a few minutes ago: if you think you can take it. Youāre not giving up now.
āIām fine,ā you snap, way too breathless for the statement to have any real impact, although your stubborn defiance is certainly there. āJust fucking finish it.ā
His hand, warm and broad, finds its way in between your shoulder blades. He leans in, puts his weight into it, keeping you firmly pressed down over the desk. For some reason, your instinct isnāt to squirm away but to push into the heat, but you canāt move much one way or another under his grip.
āThen stay still.ā His voice is so much closer to you, making you wish you had the strength to lift your head up and chase for his eyes.
Half a breath after the words are out, he strikes you again; this time with his other hand.
You sob and buck against the desk, the legs of it scraping against the floor. You canāt tell if his palm is better or worse than the belt. The pain isnāt as biting, but itās broader and warmer, sending more fire into your already burning flesh. And itās then that you realize youāre pushing into it, arching your back as best as you can, tilting your ass up to meet the assault. Basically offering it on a silver platter, presenting it to him and his ferocious, punishing hand.
And youāre wet.
You can feel it soak your panties, so much that youāre sure Mr. Hwang will be able to see a wet spot on them if he looks for it. Humiliated tears rise to your eyes, leaving you in a tumbling sob, desperately seeking relief but not wanting this to ever stop.
āM-Mr. Hwang.ā The next strike hits you way too close to your core, the tiniest bit of friction that feels like heaven. You hiccup another cry, tears falling down and pooling over the smooth surface of the desk. āPlease, Iāā
You donāt even know what youāre pleading for anymore, but the word continues to leave your lips, over and over. His fingers come down hard over the sensitive spot where your ass meets your thighs, and you wonder if he knows what heās doing to you ā if he knows youāre on the brink of an orgasm just from this, that if he touches over you even for one second it might be enough to push you over the edge. He keeps going, alternates between one cheek and the other, his open palm covering as much skin as it can.
His hand travels down lower once again, warming your thighs to the same blistering heat as your ass. āGod,ā you breathe. You hadnāt noticed how hard your fingers are gripping the edges of the desk, your knuckles white, as if holding on could somehow save you.
He pauses again, and you canāt tell if youāre relieved or disappointed. You feel yourself throb inside your panties, wet and hot and neglected.
āCount them,ā he orders.
You wince as his hand hits a sore spot, on top of skin that had already been hit too many times. āO-one.ā
He lashes again and again.
āTwo, threeā fuck! F-fourā fuck, please. I canāt, I canāt count anymore.ā Youāre unable to think straight at this point, unable to do anything other than cry and feel and want.
āGod,ā he sounds wrecked as well and you canāt understand why; youāre the one who feels as if youāre fighting for your life. He watches you, and you canāt decide if youāre embarrassed at your own state, the tears on your face and your ass thatās probably bright red by now, exposed to the professor, or if youāre too desperate for a release to think about that.
āItās okay.ā His hand lands on your hip, but doesnāt strike you again. It only caresses, his touch feather-light and delicate, a stark contrast to the harsh blows. āYou did good.ā
The light touch is enough to make you moan, breathing a deep sigh of relief. His touch feels unintentional, like heās mesmerized, not fully aware of what heās doing as he simply as he tries to ease the sting from the spanking. But when he drops down to press a kiss to the back of your shoulder, his body heat enveloping you ā that canāt be accidental.
You lean into his touch as best as you can, and thatās when you feel it; something hard press against your core through layers of clothing, his cock a perfect, undeniable point of heat against you.
Both of you let our a simultaneous moan when you rub yourself back against his length. You want nothing more than for him to split you open, to push into you without a warning, without giving you time to adjust. Not that youād last a long time, but youād let him keep thrusting into you, having his way with your body until he was satisfied.
His hand slides under your bodies, inside your underwear.
āIn-ho,ā you sigh, a weak sound.
The sound of his name seems to pull you from whatever trance heās stuck in. He stops, fingers just inches from your clit, like heās only just realizing heās on top of a student in his classroom. You try to lift yourself up, to rub against him again, but he doesnāt move.
He pulls away from you, and you feel like you could cry again in sheer desperation. Instead, you just stay there against the desk, wondering what the fuck just happened.
After a few moments, he lifts you up gently by the arms, turning you around to face him. He smooths out your sweater, but he doesnāt look at you. Not even once.
āYou can go now, Ms. ____.ā
You look at him in disbelief ā first at his face, then at the tent thatās still very much apparent at the front of his pants.
āButāā you stammer. āDonāt⦠donāt you want me toā?ā
Heās back in professor mode, organizing his papers that had turned into a mess. Still not fucking looking at you. His hair, usually neatly combed back, is now all over the place, and he looks like heās about to break down himself.
āIāll take care of the⦠assignment issue,ā he says. āGo back to your dorm. Itās getting late.ā
You donāt dare to disobey, even when tears rush to your eyes once again. Maybe it was all just about the assignment to him, and you got it all wrong. Or maybe ā the thought hurts before itās even fully formed in your mind ā he regrets everything youāve done.
Itās a short walk to your dorm, and youāve never been more grateful that your roommate is not around. You throw yourself into your bed, hissing as your ass lights up in pain. It brings up all the memories back at once; the crack of the belt in the air, his warm hand stinging on your skin, the outline of his cock pressed against you.
Youāre still soaked when you bring your own hand past your skirt and into your panties, not bothering to actually take them off. Two fingers slide inside, instantly finding a spot that melts your insides and makes you clench around yourself. Your other hand grips your own hip, intensifying the pain there.
āMr. Hwang,ā you moan, just to say it out loud. Your thumb brushes over your clit, just a hint of a touch and youāre gone, coming so fucking hard around fingers you do your best to pretend are his instead of yours, just at the thought of him doing this to you.
You come down slowly, so dazed you can barely open your eyes, but it doesn't bother you. Your ass has gone from searing hot to a dull, lingering ache, sure to keep you hurting for days to come. Good. You fall asleep thinking about it, thinking of his voice and his hands on you, trying to live in those moments for as long as you can.

When you offered to tutor Art Donaldson you thought that would be it. You hadnāt been expecting his nosy and obnoxious friend. They felt like polar opposites when you looked at them. The soft and reserved Art, who seemed to be careful about the words he said to you and texted you. But Patrick was careless and all consuming, a wildfire engulfing everything in itās path. If Patrick was at the apartment while you were there no studying got done. Art would simply shrug and just offer a smile before joining Patrick in whatever nonsense he was doing.
Which was currently happening, both downing beers and watching animal planet.
Art and Patrick were on the couch, Patrickās arm thrown over the back with Art leaning towards him but leaving a small amount of space between them. As much as you wanted to just call it quits and leave you didnāt, something kept you in the apartment, a gravitational pull of sorts. Instead you remained at the kitchen table, books and papers that you and Art abandoned still covering it.
You only started paying attention to the program about half way through. It was about mating rituals for some animals. Patrick had something to say about every single one, Art chiming in every now and then with a joke or to agree with Patrick.
āCan you imagine that shit?ā Patrick took a swig of his beer, āDancing around and putting on a show to get laid, thatād be embarrassing.ā
Art chuckled at his comments. You simply rolled your eyes.
āIsnāt that what you guys already do?ā You added.
āShe speaks!ā Patrick teased, turning around to face you.
His arm was still across the back of the couch, his bicep flexed a little. Art simply rolled his head back to try and look at you, blonde curls moving against his forehead. You looked at them, noticing something different in their gazes, something that made your insides churn and warm.
āIsnāt that what you two play tennis for? Look good and strong so people fawn over you?ā
Art looked over and smiled at Patrick, who was currently putting on his best ādeep in thoughtā look. Patrick eventually clicked his tongue and gave you a boyish grin.
āYeah, I guess it is. Right, Art?ā Patrick looked over to Art, grin still wide.
āI- I donāt know if Iād say that,ā Art murmured loud enough for you to hear it.
āCome on now, Artie,ā Patrick took a drink of his beer, ātell the girl what she wants to hear. We play tennis for the ladies, not because we enjoy it or anything.ā
There was a bite in Patrickās voice that time, one that you blamed the beer for. Art was only on his second beer, but Patrick was probably on his fourth or fifth. You rolled your eyes once more, turning to try and focus on the assignments once more. You hated the way that Patrick was able to crawl under your skin, find that one spot that always got your anger bubbling. But then Art would be there later, when he walked you to your car apologizing, telling him that he wonāt let it happen again, even if you know itās a lie. When you peaked back at them Art was leaning into Patrick, who was whispering something into his ear. You looked away, not wanting to become more frustrated with the situation.
āHey,ā it was Art this time, ācome sit with us, forget the homework.ā
Art was practically hanging off the back of the couch now. His chest was pressed to the cushions, arms hanging out while making grabby hands towards you. Patrickās arms were out of sight now, only his chin resting on the back of the couch. They seemed to have traded personalities at that moment, Patrick looking small while Art was begging for you. You stared at them for a moment, eventually letting out a huff and a āfineā.
Art and Patrick high fived while you were walking over. They scooted apart a little, leaving just enough space for you to fit between them. It wasnāt a lot of room, your thighs touching both Patrick and Artās. Heat was radiating from them, seeping through your skin to melt and entangle with the heat forming in your body. The concoction was already intoxicating and you had only had a sip of their body heat, nothing more. Patrick slid an arm across the back of the couch, leaning in a little closer to you. Art cradled his can of beer in his lap, also leaning in a tiny amount closer to you.
āCan you imagine that?ā Patrickās voice got low.
The program that was on had started talking about animals who had a more carefree mating style. Hyenas, Bonobos, and many others. Animals who engaged in polygamy and more. It was currently talking about the Bonobo, a primate that happily engaged in orgies, threesomes, and even more at times.
āIām not sure,ā you started, āit seems like a lot of work.ā
The concoction of heat was rising up through your body. Patrick looked at you with a little smirk, not a devilish one like he normally did. Artās hand grazed your thigh, grabbing your attention from Patrick. All your annoyance from before had melted away when you saw Artās eyes. There was only a small ring of blue around his blown out pupils. The back of his fingers continued to ghost over the material of your leggings, maintaining eye contact with you the entire time. It was trance like, hypnotic blue eyes with the rhythm of his fingers. The heat of Patrickās breath ghosted over your neck now. You werenāt sure when he had moved your hair to expose your skin.
āWhat if we did all the work instead?ā
When you turned to Patrick his nose grazed your cheek, lips incredibly close to yours. You could barely make out the color of his eyes with him this close, a glimpse of a bluish green color was all you could make out. One of his hands drifted up your shoulder, his fingertips ghosting up in a similar manner to Artās but along your neck. Patrickās touch was scalding hot, turning that bubbling heat inside of you into something more explosive.
The kiss was sloppy, Patrickās tongue pushing past your lips immediately. You could taste the cheap beer and a hint of cigarette on his tongue. His hand cupped the side of your face as the rhythm continued. You leaned a little further into Patrick, his free hand moving to cup your chest. Your right hand grabbed at Patrickās thigh, needing to ground yourself in the smallest amount. At the same time, Artās hand started to knead the meat of your thigh, gently guiding your thighs open at the same time.
A whimper left you, Patrick consuming and silencing it. Artās hand had found the apex of your thighs, rubbing against your clothed cunt. The sensation spurred you to kiss Patrick with a bit more force, your breast pressing tightly into Patrickās hand. Art continued to send muted waves of pleasure with each roll of his wrist. Your hips started rolling to meet Artās movements, wanting more and more. You broke away from Patrick, turning to meet Artās gaze again.
āArt,ā you whimpered.
Patrick had already attached himself to your neck, eyes watching the two of you. You reached out with your left hand for Art, him immediately moving forward to meet it. Your lips collided with Artās while you wrapped your arm around his shoulders. Your other hand had found its way into Patrickās dark curls, tugging lightly as you let him continue to lap at your skin. Your body moved in tandem with the two of them.
Patrick moved a little behind you to let your back meet his chest fully. The hand you had in his hair slipped down to the hand kneading your chest, covering it and mimicking his motions. Patrickās other hand moved down the side of your body, pulling up the hem of your shirt to expose some skin for both him and Art. The hand between your thighs moved up, fingertips grazed your skin. Patrickās hand left your breast, fully grabbing your shirt and pulling it further up your torso. That was when the kiss broke. Artās lips slightly agape as he stared at you, eyes flicking between you and Patrick.
āThis okay?ā Patrick whispered, pulling your shirt further up.
Artās fingers spread over your skin, eyes trained on you. You kept your eyes locked with Artās as you grabbed both of Patrickās hands, guiding your shirt up further and exposing your bralette to them. Patrick chuckled and finally rid you of your shirt completely. After tossing your shirt to the side, Patrick cupped both of your breasts and tugged on your nipples over the material. A moan escaped you at the sensation of the flimsy material pinching into your nipples under Patrickās fingers.
āThatās it, let it out,ā Art encouraged.
You pushed against Patrickās grip again, arching your back and pushing your ass back into his hardening cock. You hadnāt realized the feeling of his cock on your lower back and ass immediately, having been so caught up in your own pleasure. Patrick let out a groan when he felt you grind your ass back into him. Artās cheeks were flushed as he sat there and watched the two of you.
āFuck,ā Art groaned. He grabbed at his own hardened cock, jerking himself off over his shorts.
Patrickās lips grazed the skin of your shoulder for a moment, only for him to bite the strap of your bralette and guide it down your shoulder. The hand for that mesh cup pulled it down, exposing your tit fully. Artās mouth was on your tit immediately, tongue caressing and flicking your hardened nipple. Moans fell from your lips, Patrickās cheek on your shoulder as he watched Art and guided your other bralette strap down.
Blue eyes were staring up at you, or maybe they were looking at Patrick. As you watched Art lav at your sensitive bud, Patrickās hand came around to thread through Artās hair, tugging lightly on the blonde curls and earning a moan from him. The vibrations from Artās moans went straight to your cunt, making it flex and tighten to nothing more than the simple sensation and sounds.
āLook at you two,ā Patrick groaned, āso fucking hot.ā With those words Patrick tugged on Artās hair a little rougher and pinched your free nipple.
Art let out a whimper that time, not expecting such a harsh tug that time. You brought one hand up to Artās hair, covering Patrickās with your own. Slowly your hand drifted down and rested on Patrickās wrist. After giving a quick squeeze you started guiding it down the side of Art's neck, eventually pulling it towards your center. Patrick got the hint and chuckled.
āUse your words,ā Patrick growled into your skin.
āTouch me,ā you whimpered out.
āWhere?ā Art murmured against your tit.
Thatās when you felt Artās fingers dip below the sides of your waistband.
āTouch my pussy.ā
āThatās it,ā Art smiled at you and started to remove your leggings and underwear.
As soon as you were bare Patrickās fingers dove between the lips of your cunt, finding your clit immediately. Art finished removing the fabric from your ankles and pushed your legs apart, bending down to press kisses to the inside of your thighs. Art was trailing up the inside of your thighs, Patrickās fingers continuing the movements on your clit. Both of their names were starting to fall from your lips, a gasp coming from you when you felt Artās tongue drag over your slick cunt and roam around Patrickās fingers. Patrick moved his hand from your tit to your hip, trying to keep you from bucking too wildly. Artās hands slipped around your legs, keeping you even more in place for him to lick at you.
āFuck,ā Patrick groaned while rolling his hips into your ass.
Artās tongue slipped below your clit, pushing into your entrance and lapping at the juices flowing from your. The two of them sat there worshiping you in tandem. It wasnāt long before you were falling apart for them, coming on Artās tongue and Patrickās fingers. Patrick stayed circling on your clit for a moment, slowly drifting lower through your folds to meet Artās mouth. You watched with shaky breath as Patrick pushed his glistening fingers into Artās mouth. Art groaned around them, keeping them in his mouth as Patrick guided Art back up to the both of you.
Artās mouth was glistening when he came back up to the two of you. Your chest was still heaving, trying to regulate itself after an orgasm of such magnitude. The both of them had taken notice of that, meeting each otherās lips instead of yours. You laid there resting against Patrickās chest as you watched them make out. It was messy, Patrickās tongue diving into Artās mouth to taste you. They were both moaning and groaning over your taste.
You let out a whimper to let them know that you were ready for them. It caught Artās attention, him breaking the kiss with Patrick. Patrick didnāt let up though, trailing open mouthed kisses down Artās jawline and neck. Art brought a hand up to your cheek and pulled you forward meeting his lips and letting you taste what was left of you on his tongue.
Patrick leaned back from the two of you for a moment, pulling off his own shirt and then finally unclasping your bra. Once both were removed he pressed his bare chest to your back. You rolled your hips back into his while reaching forward and cupping Art through his gym shorts. Patrick mouthed at your neck and shoulder, hand coming around to rub at your sensitive clit.
āI need your mouth,ā Art groaned into your mouth.
You pushed up off of Patrick and moved to lay Art back against the couch. Art started taking off his shorts and boxers before your fingers even moved to the wrist band, signaling how eager he truly was for this.
His cock was prettier than you imagined, a sparse amount of sandy blonde hair framing it. You cupped his balls first, rolling them lightly and listening to his groans. You helped position Artās legs on either side of your knees, making it easier to bend over and take him in your mouth. Art gasped the first time he felt your tongue on the soft skin of the head of his cock. You kept rolling his balls in your hand and you took him further into your mouth. Patrick could be heard moving around on the couch behind you. Thatās when you felt the tip of his cock at your entrance and hands on your hips. With a moan you pushed your hips back, an urge to get Patrick to fuck you.
It was an overwhelming sensation for a moment. The thickness of Patrickās cock was splitting you open, all while Artās cock was heavy on your tongue. Art groaned as you took him deep into your throat unexpectedly, the tightness of your throat spurring him to thrust up a little. You moaned around him as Patrick pulled back for a moment, only to thrust forward with force. Patrickās thrusts were pushing you further and further forward onto Artās cock. Small gagging and gurgling noises started to come from you, drool forming around your lips. Artās hand moved to your hair and tugged you off him for a moment.
āSo fucking greedy,ā Art growled. He gripped his cock by the base and tapped it on your tongue, which you happily held out for him.
āGreedy is right,ā Patrick thrust a little harsh, āher pussy is so fucking tight, meant for this.ā
Art guided you back onto his cock. You moaned at the taste of him on your tongue once again.
āWanna fuck that pussy too,ā Art thrust up into your mouth as he spoke.
Patrick let out a cross between a whimper and groan before he pulled out. A hand moved from your hip to the back of your neck, tightening and pulling you up off Artās cock.
āGo on, princess, let Art fuck that pussy.ā
Even though you were more than happy to be in the position you were in, that pet didnāt send thrills through you. You shot a dirty look to Patrick over your shoulder, earning that devilish smirk from him. Patrick leaned closer and pressed a gentle kiss to your shoulder.
āGo on, baby,ā Patrick whispered to you.
Art was lightly pumping his cock when you looked back at him. A rosy flush was covering from his cheeks to his chest, which matched the red tint that his waiting cock had. You moved your legs on either side of him, planting one on the floor due to lack of room on the couch. There was barely any time to line Art up, his neediness getting the better of him. Within mere seconds of positioning yourself above him he was thrusting up into you. Art didnāt have the same girth as Patrick, but his cock still felt heavenly inside of you. And he didnāt let up.
Thrust after thrust you were a moaning mess above Art. Your hands were scrambling to find purchase on his chest. Each thrust was hitting that perfect spot inside of you. The leg that you hand on the ground was starting to shake, the ability to balance starting to allude you. Patrick moved up behind you, snaking his hands under your shaking legs. Patrick used some of his strength to take on some of your weight, allowing you to relax a little.
āFuck!ā Art groaned as you felt his abdomen tense below your touch.
Art pushed his hips tightly to where you were connected, rutting desperately to feel closer. Hot cum filled your insides, your walls clenching tightly around Art. You could feel that Patrick was still hard against your ass, reminding you of what was still to come. Artās breath was coating your chest as you leaned over him, pressing a kiss to his forehead. During that motion Artās cock slipped out of you, to which was quickly replaced by Patrickās.
Patrickās grip was tight on your hips, almost as tight as your cunt on his cock. Patrick groaned as he watched his best friendās cum leak out of you and coat his dick. You could barely hold yourself up anymore, Art letting you rest on his chest. Patrick leaned over you, his chest covering your back once more. His thrusts were starting to become more harsh and forceful. He pressed a few kisses to your shoulder before leaning forward and meeting Artās lips once more. After a few more thrusts both you and Patrick were coming.
The three of you laid there in a pile for a while. Patrick was softening inside of you, but still keeping both his and Artās cum safe in you while placing kisses on your shoulder. Art was running a hand up and down Patrickās shoulder and back. You were trailing your fingers around on Artās chest. The program on TV had changed by that time, now showing something shark related.
Patrick hesitantly moved his hips, his dick slipping out of you. A shuddering breath left you at the feeling of their cum starting to drip out of you. You didnāt even move when you felt a shifting on the couch cushion, Patrick getting up to track down a washcloth. It felt relaxing to actually just lay there against Art, finally not having to fully focus on anything.
When Patrick returned he cleaned you up as gently as he could, or at least that was what he claimed. Art pressed a kiss to your forehead before you got up, swiping the wash cloth from Patrick. After cleaning yourself you softly wiped Artās cock clean, then turned and cleaned Patrickās too. Patrick stole the washcloth and took it to the bathroom again, returning to find you and Art still in the nude and cuddling in the same position. Patrick simply moved into his former position with his chest to your back. Patrick tossed the old knit blanket on the back of the couch over the three of you. All of you just watched the shark program in silence for a moment, Patrick breaking the silence.
āHope that wasnāt too much work,ā he said quietly.
Art let of a huff of amusement.
āNot when itās the two of you.ā

Ghoap X Service-Dog Hybrid!Reader
Trigger warnings: panic attacks, gender neutral reader, ptsd
Did you guys know that sometimes some animals need service dogs? For anxiety and sometimes depression???
Imagine where Simon and Bomb Dectection Dog Hybrid Johnny are honorably discharged.
Simon and Hybird Johnny both get diagnosed with PTSD, so the only logical thing is to get a service animal.
Well thanks to Simon's connections, he was able to join a new program to see if hybrids can also work as service animals.
You, a new trainee, are so excited to be apart of the new program! (Your tail cannot stop wagging when you find out you've been assigned a parnter).
You who moves in with Simon and Johnny while getting paid to be around the clock care-taker.
When you and Johnny lock eyes, Johnny immediately hugging you, scenting you, asking every little thing about what breed you are to about yourself! His tail cannot stop wagging aswell!!
Simon treats you at first like you're just a regular hybrid doing their job, doesn't really pay that much attention besides hearing what Johnny is yapping about.
It isn't until he is affected by his PTSD at a grocery store. A rack in another aisle falls over creating a loud banging sound that echoes throughout the store. Even though he knows it was probably nothing, his immediate action is to take cover, his brain stops being rational, and his anxiety is telling him how he is left in the open with nothing to protect himself with. His chest feels like there is concrete on top of him. Then he feels your hands on his chest, gently reminding him of his breathing, your hands slowly rising and falling to his breathing, making concentrate on his breathing.
After that incident, he starts being more protective of you, starts to open up more, letting you do your job, listening to your recommended breathing and coatching techniques.
Sometimes Johnny gets on high alert when in public, he immediately tries to start smelling or detecting high alert threats.
But then you remind him that he isn't on the field anymore and that he can relax.
In short, they love you so much. And they truly believe they'll be lost without you.

DP X Marvel #1
Donāt get me wrongāI love DP X DC, but I want more post for DP X Marvel, so I decided to write my own.
Danny had been in Amity Park, dodging international press, paparazzi, and the occasional FBI van parked outside his house, because, well, saving the world and exposing the existence of ghosts kind of made him a big deal. The whole āIām actually Phantomā reveal had sent the world into a meltdown, with headlines like āTeen Ghostboy Saves Earth, Wears Same Hoodie for Six Daysā and āShould Phantom Pay Taxes?ā clogging up the internet.
Thatās when Tony Stark showed up.
In person.
āYou ever consider switching teams?ā Tony asked while eating a hotdog in Dannyās kitchen like he owned the place. āI donāt mean ghost to human. I mean ghost to Avenger.ā
Danny, halfway through microwaving leftover pizza, blinked. āIs this a recruitment thing or are you just lost?ā
āA little of both.ā Tony admitted. āIāve got a proposition for you. Comes with a full scholarship, housing, no taxes, and a lifetime supply of Pop-Tarts.ā
āā¦Okay but like. Why Pop-Tarts?ā
āI have a theory about your ghost metabolism and artificial preservatives.ā Tony said, waving his hand like it was normal science and not the start of an exorcism. āAnyway. Stark Industries internship. Full ride to Midtown School of Science and Technology. We pretend this is for scienceāunderstanding ghosts and ectoplasm and your stupid glowy ice powers or whateverāand I get to say I recruited the coolest teen superhero before the other billionaires.ā
āYou just donāt want me joining Batman.ā Danny muttered.
Tony narrowed his eyes. āDonāt say the B-word in my presence.ā
So thatās how Danny FentonāAmity Parkās favorite undead menaceāended up in New York City, living in a swanky Stark-funded high-rise with a fully stocked lab, an entire ghost-proof gym, and a contract that explicitly stated āNO OPENING INTERDIMENSIONAL PORTALS BEFORE 9AMā in Comic Sans.
Midtown High was wild. First of all, every student looked like they either had a skincare sponsorship or fought crime on the weekends. Second, the STEM program had actual quantum computers. Dannyās old school had a vending machine that exploded if you pressed B5 twice.
Third: Peter Parker.
Danny met him on his first day, right after being hit by a rogue drone in robotics class and slamming face-first into a whiteboard that read āNo running in the lab.ā
Peter looked down at him. āYou good, man?ā
Danny blinked. āSpider-Man?ā
Peter blinked. āI have no idea what youāre talking about.ā
Danny smirked. āUh-huh. Tony says hi.ā
Peter yanked him up by the arm and shoved him into a janitorās closet so fast it couldāve given someone whiplash.
āShh!ā Peter exclaimed. āYou canāt just say that out loud! People donāt know!ā
Danny shrugged, now intangibly phasing halfway through a mop bucket. āRelax. Everyone already knows Iām Phantom. Itās not like weāre on equal secret identity footing here.ā
Peter blinked at that. āWait, youāre Phantom? Like THE Phantom?ā
Danny stuck his head through the wall dramatically. āBoo.ā
Peter shrieked and punched him. Which didnāt work. At all. From then on, they were inseparable.
Mostly because Tony made them sit next to each other at every Stark-sponsored science conference with assigned seating and a label that said āTeen Angst Section.ā But also because they kind of understood each other. Weird powers. Exhausting double lives. Constant media attention. Love lives that were mostly disaster zones.
Also, because every time there was an emergency in New York, Danny would dramatically yell, āI GOT THIS!ā turn into a glowing ghost, phase through the ceiling, and leave Peter holding their science project like, āGreat. Now I have to explain this to Ms. Warren.ā
There was a running bet in the school on how many times a week Danny would ghost out during class. The record was four times in a single Monday. Once during math. Twice during lunch. Once mid-presentation, when his eyes flashed green, and he mumbled, āHold up, I think a ghost just tried to eat a nun,ā before vanishing.
He got an A. Mostly out of fear.
They became known around Midtown as āScience Boyfriends,ā a term coined by their English teacher after they accidentally blew up the chemistry lab and rebuilt it with better airflow and a smoothie bar.
Peter tried to deny it. Danny didnāt.
āI mean, heās cute.ā Danny would shrug while eating a granola bar and floating upside-down. āAnd have you seen his calves? Spider thighs? Manās got spider thighs.ā
Peter threatened to web his mouth shut. Danny turned intangible and said ādo it, coward.ā
Happy Hogan was having a mental breakdown.
āMr. Stark.ā He said once, after catching Danny phasing through a vending machine and Peter falling out of a ceiling vent. āTheyāre going to destroy the school.ā
āTheyāre already destroying my will to live.ā Tony muttered, sipping coffee while watching Phantom carry Spider-Man bridal-style on a street livestream. āBut you canāt deny the brand synergy.ā
And oh, the public loved Danny.
Kids wore Phantom backpacks. There was a whole TikTok trend called āGo Ghost Challengeā which was just teens flinging themselves over furniture in hopes of catching flight. People stopped him on the street for selfies. A company released a Ghost Repellent Spray that was literally just Febreze with a green label.
Meanwhile, Danny and Peter were balancing AP Physics, ghost attacks, Stark internships, and trying to keep a low profile despite Danny being literally neon.
Peter was this close to combusting.
āI canāt keep doing this.ā Peter whispered during lunch, forehead pressed against a table. āMy GPA is dying. Iām dying. My soul is cracking. I havenāt slept in three days.ā
Danny, completely fine, sipping chocolate milk through a straw, replied, āI think a banshee tried to possess the home ec teacher.ā
Peter stared. ā⦠Danny.ā
āHer cupcakes were glowing.ā
āDANIEL JAMES!ā
It didnāt help that the media kept speculating if Phantom was dating Spider-Man. There were articles like āWhoās the Top Ghost? Our Editors Discussā and āTeen Heroes: Roommates or Soulmates?ā Danny read them out loud during lunch.
Peter screamed into a burrito.
And then there was that time someone tried to kidnap Peter during gym class. Bad idea. Danny turned invisible, slammed the guy through the bleachers, and then flew Peter to safety in front of the entire school.
āYou didnāt have to carry me!ā Peter hissed later. āI had it under control.ā
āYou were duct-taped to a chair.ā Danny pointed out.
āI was about to chew through the tape!ā
āLike a squirrel.ā
āLike a spider!ā
After that, it wasnāt just the school that shipped them. The city did. There were shirts. Stickers. Fanfiction. Someone made a rap.
Tony started selling merch.
āWeāre not even dating!ā Peter yelled one afternoon, dodging a drone with their faces painted on it.
Danny just winked. āYet.ā
And honestly? They made a good team.
When ghosts got loose, Danny handled the supernatural. When aliens showed up, Peter webbed āem to the nearest wall. When things exploded, they blamed Flash Thompson.
Midtown might have been chaos. Their lives might have been actual flaming garbage fires. But in the middle of it all, Danny and Peter were the weirdest, most terrifying, most effective duo the teen superhero world had ever seen.
One had ghost lasers.
The other had web shooters.
Both had the fashion sense of stressed-out raccoons.
And somehow, they made it work.
Until Danny accidentally opened a portal to the Ghost Zone during prom. But thatās a story for another day.

isackhadjar Hello Y/N, it is nice to see someone who shares the same major. Programming has always been an interest of mine, though coding does give me a headache sometimes.
user11 Hi Y/N, I am also from England, but Iām native to Oxford. Youāre so lucky to be born in London! I visited once and it was super interesting. Have you ever taken a tour inside Buckingham Palace?
user12 Hey Y/N, Iām a freshman as well! Are you nervous at all for the next four years? My sister just graduated last year as a Psychology major, but Iām majoring in Chemistry. Iāve heard some things about how tough college is, but I think weāll both make it through!
