Exasperated, the halfa escaped from his escorts and continued his work as normal. Superman almost fell out of his chair at the Watchtower meeting when he was informed that the boy had translated the language of Krypton and other missing planets. Besides having managed to lose both the Flash and Green Latern, what the fuck?

i wanna be the test subject for some hot sorcerer. i want them to summon some horrible eldritch tentacle demon to do their bidding, and i want that bidding to be fucking me stupid. i'll be suspended upside down getting fucked so hard the bulge shows through my stomach, and the sorcerer will be sitting fully clothed with their legs neatly crossed, taking notes, making observations. when they give me a break from getting nailed, they'll stand up, come over, and put their hand on my cheek while whispering gentle praise: "oh, you're such a good little subject," they'd coo into my ear, "so, so perfect for me."

and before my exhausted, tingling brain can spit out a response, they'll ask me, "would you like to test its means of reproduction?" of course i'll eagerly nod, and they'll walk away, sit down, and command the monster once more.

Hiliruk didn’t do shit because Hiliruk was not a real doctor and had no idea what real doctors do, and I imagine (hope) that Drum’s history of teaching medicine meant they had a system in place for donating bodies to science.

The reason body stealing was so prevalent in the US and UK was that there was no system in place for schools to get cadavers. Other countries would automatically donate unclaimed bodies to their medical schools for trainees to study on. You can argue the ethics of it, but at least they weren’t going out to the cemetery digging up fresh corpses. I could see Drum having a similar system put into place.
