I am happy to announce this year's Project Six-Eighteen video lineup!

Every year I make a series of video projects related to Gravity Falls. These videos tend to be shorter than my main video essays (which tend to be between 1.5-3 hours long), and usually are between 20-60 min.

All of the dates above are subject to change, but a couple have been in the works for about a year! I will tentatively say that if a video does not come out in the allotted time, you can expect something to be bumped to July. But please be patient if something does not go according to plan. It is difficult to juggle this project with my workload, but I will do my best.

idk why this bothered me enough to make a post but I feel like I keep seeing instances where people try to correct against Tim Drake fanon that's derived from canon and over-correct into not canon anymore. so here's some Tim Lore(TM) that people get mixed up about whether it's fanon or canon.

CANON: TIM SNUCK OUT AND TOOK PICS OF BATMAN

(Batman #440)

That's Tim's hand, that's Tim's narration. Yes, plenty of those photos are newspaper clippings but several aren't, and we literally just saw Tim taking pictures of Batman. Fanon likely expanded the extent to which he did it, but there's canon basis for it. And he had to have been doing it long enough to notice the change in Batman's patterns of violence.

CANON: TIM'S ADULT SUPERVISION WAS QUESTIONABLE

During his first arc, we find out he's been attending boarding school, but it's a vacation week and does not indicate being under any supervision. When questioned, he never knows where his parents are, nor does he have any clear idea of when he'll see them.

FANON: TIM GREW UP NEXT DOOR TO WAYNE MANOR

This is really more a misunderstanding than anything else, but the Drakes didn't purchase and move into Drake Manor (which IS next door to Wayne Manor) until after he became Robin. It was Alfred's idea. So like... yes, he lived next door to Bruce but not when he was little.

But also, please keep writing bb!Tim lives next door to the Waynes fics PLEASE I love them.

????: I DON'T THINK MRS MAC WAS EVER TIM'S NANNY/KNEW HIM BEFORE HE WAS ROBIN BUT I CAN'T TECHNICALLY PROVE IT

I think this is the same kind of fanon as "Tim grew up as the Waynes' neighbor" where something that did canonically happen was projected into his childhood. Mrs. McIlvaine's first appearance was in Robin III #3. She just kind of shows up to be the housekeeper when they move into Drake Manor. I don't get the vibe that they know each other very well, and it makes sense to have hired someone new because they moved into a new property.

FYI: TIM BEING ROBIN MIGHT'VE GIVEN JACK DRAKE A COUPLE EXTRA YEARS OF LIFE ACTUALLY

Jack and Janet were kidnapped by the Obeah Man. Batman was involved in another case at the time and while I can't say for certain he wouldn't have gotten involved in their case at all, I'd say the fact that it was Tim's parents changed his priorities. They definitely would've both died if not for Batman's interference. As it was, the timing was pretty close, so if he hadn't gotten involved soon enough, they would've most likely died. (Detective Comics #118-121)

her and her two best friends, paul and kimi were currently laughing at her phone, where a fanfiction about them was projected.

look, they didn’t normally read that kind of stuff, but when she was answering dms and stumbled upon it, she had to show them.

the title read ‘wars for y/n’ and she quickly realised it was about the two boys fighting for her. she found that to be the funniest thing someone could ever tell her, because the guys would never see her that way, they were all basically siblings at that point.

“y/n is mine, kimi, and i recommend you to back off if you don't want something to happen to you on the race” paul read in between laughs, trying his best to sound serious. “never, that pretty girl is mine!” the three of them exploded in laughs as kimi read “pretty girl?” paul asked, going red with laughter “who talks like that?” y/n questioned, trying to breathe.

pablo passed by them, looking at them funny for the way they were laughing. the three sat on a couch that was barely big enough, y/n in the middle and the two guys on the sides, close to her to be able to see the phone. the engineer laughed, pulling out his phone to record the interaction.

“okay, okay, keep going” kimi said as he regained his breath “i’ll be damned if i let you have her” paul continued, making his best ‘book man voice’, how he described it earlier “you will not let me, as she already is mine” kimi tried to deepen his voice “i do not belong to anyone!” y/n read dramatically, swaying her arm and accidentally hitting paul’s face, making them laugh once again. “b-b-but y/n! i burn for you!” kimi exaggerated the stuttered “not the bridgeton quote” y/n wheezed, making them laugh harder.

“you are the object of all my desires!” paul exclaimed, making a recovering y/n explode again “bro this is just plain plagiarism!” the girl rolled off the couch, hitting her head on the floor and causing the boys to laugh even harder.

they continued reading for a while until they all got the same notification.

‘prema_team tagged you in their story.’

y/n opened it on her phone, smiling at the screen once she saw the video of them laughing.

‘only laughs at the prema headquarters @paul_aron @kimi.antonelli @y/nthecoolkid’

later that day, the trio sat on the same couch. both of the boy’s head rested on each of her shoulders as she scrolled on tik tok, liking and commenting on edits that the fans made.

she moved onto instagram, answering dms and sending them a picture of the three, knowing that edits would come out of the recent content.

“b-but y/n, i-” kimi was cut off by the sound of a car roaring next to them. sebastian climbed his way out, taking his helmet off as a gust of wind moved his hair. “y/n, i’ve come to save you from these greedy men!” his voice made her smile as she climbed into his car “goodbye, boys! i hope i can see you again.” sebastian handed her a helmet and as she put it on, he drove into the sunset, leaving paul and kimi standing by themselves, looking longly into the distance.

Complete Teen Titans Reading Guide -

This is mostly a passion project of mine about The Titans! The general consensus I have seen on this website is that their history is confusing and people don’t know where to start so …. This guide includes ALL pieces of Titans Media.

Even the ones that just include some of the core members on different teams because I want to and related series. I want to be as through and complete on this as possible.

(I dont include the JL: No Justice and ODYSSEY JL(2018) thing when they were taking on their role or something mind numbing along those lines because… its JL & i didn’t really care and frankly who does ? But it’s before the tom taylor titans run so I wanted to preface with that. )

Just to start this is all my opinion and you can really begin wherever you feel like it if you want to !

TEEN TITANS (1966)

before you read the Teen Titans (1966) series you should read

- Brave and The Bold ( 1955) #54 and #60 if you want to read right from the start chronologically!

- Showcase #59 before Roy joins the team

The Original Team of the TEEN TITANS was a series that ran through the 60’s beginning in 1966 - 1973 and had a comeback in 1976. It had 53 issues.

The original series consisted mostly of Robin ,Wonder Girl , Kid Flash and Aqualad with many a cameo from other teens.

You can either read the OG Series but its completely optional it’s pretty outdated and silly but it’s a fun ride even then. In my opinion its best to leave for after you have been endeared to the character’s.

important stuff happens to Kory in Final Night #1 so thats there too! Also Batman Chronicles #7 because it’s so sweet and is donna & dick platonic soulmates thesis.

( I have mixed opinions on this run some think it a masterpiece some think it awful I generally think it’s…. Fine ? Well not fine it has that 2000s shitty characterisation quirks but give it a go…I guess I recommend #2-26.)

Ok so this run isn’t really…. a Titans run but it has fantastic Roy and Dick characterisation and KORY JOINS LATER AND SO TECHNICALLY-

Read Annual 1 before #46

Don’t bother after Batman shows up unless your really invested in the non titans characters.

Around this time Infinite Crisis happens. A LOT of Titans die and I feel as though you kinda have to read it ESPECIALLY for 1 death that will be very relevant and talked about. Also WW3 happens after and the titans are ALSO there and yet another one is killed though no one ever mentions it again.

POST - OYL TT 2003

Ok so I basically consider post OYL TT ‘03 to be a totally different team because… well it is . All of the NTT crew leave and are replaced by a handful of cameos and eventually like Rose Wilson and Kid Devil and because at this point half of the YJ gen is well…dead . It was pretty dire at this point though I find the character interactions endearing. This series remains like that until N52.

They have crossovers with Red Robin aswell as Wonder Girl Vol.2.

After all the bullshit THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER AGAIN YAY !!!! To bad there’s so much shit going on OUTSIDE of the Titans that ends up fucking over the characters. E.G Bruce dying so Dick has to go be Batman and …. Hell . Fucking Rise Of Arsenal. If you know what happens in that book well you know that Roy ends up relapsing and going down a much darker mindset.

Series swings between being really good and being a mischaracterising MESS.

The N52 was bad isnt a particularly outrageous statement but IT WAS EXTREMELY bad in relation to the Titans. Bluntly put none of it ever happened and the only titans ( TEEN TITANS ACTUALLY) that had ever existed were the TT2003 guys . Just them. Fab Five never existed. NTT never existed.And all of the other og TT guys were …… WALLY never existed. Donna was a one note villain Garth was a baby I think… Dick was …. There I guess.. ROY was a dumbed down alcoholic with no purpose other than to gawk at how cool and oh and ahh at Jason Todd . ( KORY …… truly just awful what happened to her ).

They have 2 series . Read at your own peril they’re better if you pretend that the characters aren’t supposed to be … like the characters that they are . ( scott lobbell shouldn’t of been allowed to touch a pen ) Raven isnt as bad as she could’ve been so I will give it that. But Lobell is a sexual harasser so if you are going to read it try and 🏴‍☠️.

I was looking at your project: geocentric, and I find it really cool! I was wondering if you had more on black holes. A bit terrifying to know the largest and most powerful cosmic entities are all-consuming eyes of darkness. Or maybe I'm just thinking about TON-618/Phoenix A (whichever's biggest lol) because Sagittarius A still looks like a funky dude :)

ooo thank you!! i haven't messed around with black holes in my story too much besides what i have for sagittarius a*, but i can talk some more about them hehe.

as you noted, sagittarius (or sag) is a bit more of a funky/goofy dude, which is a reference to how the actual black hole is fairly dormant! he's not spitting out jets or actively eating anything, he's just kind of sitting there in the middle of the milky way and having a good time.

most galaxies will have a central super massive black hole (smbh) , and have some close relationship with them. for some, the smbh might torment their galaxy, especially if theyre super active and constantly blasting out radiation. but for others, like milky way and sag, they may have a romantic relationship. i designed black holes and galaxies around the same time, so their designs are meant to compliment each other. galaxies lack a mouth, whereas black holes are pretty much all mouth. this creates an interesting relationship, with smbhs acting as the mouth of their galaxy, often serving as their voice.

i haven't designed too many stellar-mass black holes, but they'd probably look similar to sag, maybe with less colors and much smaller. below is a stellar black hole (cygnus x-1) that i designed based off of tom cardy's H.S. song heheh. stellar mass black holes come from the most massive of stars dying violently in a supernova. while they often still hold the memories and personality from when they were a star, they get dramatically changed from their new connection to The Void.

at star death, black holes get exposed to The Void, the shadow of The Universe that represents dark matter, dark energy, and all that empty space in space. The Void allows for black holes to gain some sort of higher cosmic understanding of reality. this makes most black holes mysterious, hard to understand beings. The Void also gifts them many cosmic powers, such as the power to manipulate spacetime!

(this mirrors how galaxies and the largest of stars often have a connection to The Universe)

most black holes are able to manipulate their own size, appearing larger or smaller. many black holes are also able to almost teleport through space, either literally teleporting through worm holes of their own making, or traveling over light speeds. they can bend gravity like a limb, pulling and pushing on others around them. overall, scary fellas! super massive black holes will typically have some secondary power unrelated to spacetime manipulation as well, such as sag who can manipulate dreams.

but yeah, thats basically my current ideas for how black holes work. i need to try personifying some of the more "scary" black holes, such as TON-618 and all that, so I can really delve into what makes these things terrifying hehehe. thank you for the ask!

everything leaves fragments, it could be dust, objects, memories.

ideas exist as fragments. when they are whole, the can be interacted with just like any other creature, but when they die, the fragments left can sometimes come back together. will always try to reform unless the fragments are destroyed.

the fragments have some small influence over those that carry them, a flash of yellow in the corner of their vision, a laugh that brings them either happiness or fury, they come and are gone before they can even begin to look for its source.

the fragments, for their part, have no awareness of what they once were. but the stronger they grow, the more they will want to reform, to become something they have no memories of. the fragments will leave along with every memory they had hidden in. they will start again

Okay...

Deep breath in...and...

I had...an idea...I fully intended to separate Project 618 from Fragmented...

But a recent idea I had is now bringing back the Plantars into the fold...

And that idea was this.

So, basically, realizing that Dipper and Mabel feel more at home in Gravity Falls, their parents make the big decision to move to Roadkill County. Morgan (name I chose for the twins' dad) has a job in Stella Heights, so they needed a place close.

I originally had the Pines living in an apartment complex...but then...I was reminded of the Pink Palace from Coraline and had a thought.

Just outside the city of Stella Heights, there is a mansion that once belonged to the founder of Stella Heights. It was left abandoned until it was converted into apartments (sort of like the Pink Palace). The rent was good, so the Pines decided to live there. As being an apartment complex, there are more tenants...

The Hawthornes (Earth's equivalent of the Clawthornes...Tumblr wants me to correct Hawthornes but not Clawthornes?) and the Plantars...

I kicked them out in favor of giving them focus in Fragmented, but apparently wanted a part in Project 618 too...

Granted, Fragmented would be the one with more characters from Amphibia and the Owl House in the plots (and maybe new iterations of their episodes into GF) while here, in Project 618, this would be it (with a maybe exception of Raine because Raeda forever <3).

Plus, as I mentioned in a previous post, there won't be a lot of major baggage (with the exception of King and Sprig lacking their biological parents). By this, I mean Eda hasn't been struck by a curse, though she still became a vagabond mostly due to her carefree nature.

Not only that, but I am now attending Fragmented to be more lighthearted (just the fun generic second summer idea without overarching, end-of-the-world stakes; plus towns based on Wartwood and Bonesborough.) compared to Project 618...I mean, there's still gonna be some goofy moments (nothing can be 100% serious).

In fiction

Meadow is a 618-year old nature spirit who chooses to appear as a garden fairy. She runs a small homestead full-time in the arid Western US, donating the excess crop to charity organizations. Her favorite flowers to cultivate are calla lilies, wild daisies, cottage roses, and irises. She has nine adopted children (some of which will be seen in the comic)! And many more rescued animals, as well as being a licensed wildlife rehabilitation specialist. Though she is a garden fairy, Meadow's magic allows spirits to transform in unexpected ways, which is why the little kitten she found in her garden didn't stay that way for long, and why she built a crib for a ladybug!

Meadow's favorites

Since she prefers physical media, every room in the house is stocked with books, records, CDs, and VHS tapes. Of course, fairy related media is very popular at her house. Meadow loves to read, play the guitar, harp, and practice her singing. Her top books are the Narnia books, Bloodchild, the Little House books, and the Eragon series, as well as classics.

Her favorite things are afternoon tea, toast for breakfast, baking breads and pastries, sewing her own outfits, and processing the myriad vegetables and fruits she harvests from the garden, including grinding her own flour. She is a dedicated spiritual practitioner and is often in touch with the other nature spirits. She meditates often and has appreciation for all the world religions. Meadow absolutely adores bunnies and would rescue ten if she could.

In life

This character is based upon my real life mama and guardian angel! Being a part of my dissociative family, this project is a way to help bring her to life and give her a world outside the scope of our family's everyday experience. Mama is serving as a creative director on the comic :)

Fili had had a long day of his princely duties. Meetings had dragged on and on. Thorin had yelled at him not once but three times that day. Fili felt awful, but he didn’t blame Thorin. The King was having a hard day too. The worst part was that the meetings hadn’t even felt productive. It was just around and around the table arguing the exact same points over and over again. It was exhausting. 

You’d spent a long tiring day in the Erebor clothier. A cold running rampant under the mountain had befallen the other two seamstresses you worked with. They’d be fine, of course, but you had to pick up the slack for the time being. Thorin’s cloak wasn’t going to line itself, along with the six other projects that were piling up. The workload had started to become overwhelming, and you’d be a liar to say that you hadn’t locked yourself in the fabric closet to have a good cry. 

By the time you could drag yourself back to your quarters, you wanted nothing but a good bath and to disappear deep beneath your thick blankets. You settled for crawling beneath your covers as the effort to draw a bath at the moment was just too much for you. Not even a full ten minutes after you had gotten comfortable did you hear a knock at your door.  You groaned loudly as you approached the door, wanting to bang your head against it and curse whoever was on the other side. 

“Fili?” As you pulled the door open, you asked, “What are you doing here?”

“I know it’s not proper, Y/n, to just show up at your door like this when we are unwed, but I needed to see my little hobbit. You’d not believe the kind of day I’ve had.” 

You nodded, stepping aside to let him in. You needed his touch and the feeling of his skin against yours. He stripped down just to the thin under fabric that acted as underwear, though dwarves were not known for their modesty. You copied him, stripping down to a thin slip dress with an open back. Fili climbed into bed, spooning you and tucking his head against your shoulder, just taking in the way that you smelt like freshly baked bread and lavender. 

You’d always admired the way that Fili seemed to be fearless, even from the moment you’d met. He walked right up to you and asked your name and what had brought you to Erebor. Though he wasn’t as much of a relentless flirt as Kili had proven himself to be. He’d taken his time, ripping holes in his tunics and trousers just to have an excuse to visit you. Fili eventually asked you to accompany him for a drink. 

Ever since that night, Fili had been smitten with you. It didn’t take him long to realize that you were the one for him. He carved you two beautiful beads, one a lion, representing himself as you saw him; one a sunflower, representing your beauty as he saw you. 

You don’t know when you fell asleep with Fili’s thick arms wrapped tightly around you. You were woken by the rumbling in your stomach, having gone to bed without dinner the night before. You slowly tried to remove yourself from Fili’s grasp. 

“No,” He groaned, pulling you tightly back against him, pecking kissed along your shoulder blades, “Stay…” 

“Fi, I’m hungry. We didn’t eat dinner last night.” 

“Five more minutes, Amralimé. Then I will have the kitchens send up breakfast.” 

You chuckled to yourself, loving the affection that he was showering you with. You let yourself relax further into his grasp. 

“Five minutes.”

Bonnie Freeman: (On tape) My name is Bonnie “Bon Bon” Freeman, and I wish to unsee what I have seen.

All: (gasp)

Boyfriend: What the skibidi?!

Bonnie Freeman: For the past year, I have been working as an assistant for a visiting researcher. He has been cataloguing his findings about Gravity Falls in a series of journals. I helped him build a machine which he believed had the potential to benefit all mankind, but something went wrong. I decided to quit the project. But I lie awake at night, haunted by the thoughts of what I've done. I believe I have invented a machine that can permanently erase these memories from my mind. (She holds up the memory erasing ray.) Test Subject 1: Bonnie. (She shoots it. The screen goes to static and comes back on; DAY 5) It worked! I can't recall a thing. (Static, lab is in disarray; DAY 22) I call it the Society of the Blind Eye. We will help those who want to forget by erasing their bad memories! (Static, Boynie looks more masculine and nervous; DAY 74) Today, I came across a colony of little men, very disturbing. I would like to forget seeing this. (Uses the ray again. Static, Boyfnie lab is a mess, her arm is thicker and less thin; DAY 189) I accidentally hit another car in town today. I feel terri-boopible! T-terrible. I've been beep booping lately. I wonder if there are any negative side effects to- (Static, Boyfrine has blue hair and is filming from a motel; DAY 273) I saw something in the lake! Something BIG! (rips her sweater sleeves and beep boops. Static; DAY 618) My hair's shortening a little, so I got this cap from a thrift store! Hey, why are my shoes red? (Static; DAY ???. Boyfriend is wild-eyed and filming from the junkyard. Maniacally giggling and beep booping:) Skebap be bopo bapboop beepbop bappity bopo beepaa skbep! Bop skdoo beepop beepop beep! Lucas: Still don't know what that means. So, wait. You weren't the author, but you worked with him. Do you remember who he was?

Boyfriend: It's beginning to come back, but I need more time. And reading glasses. Heck! (spits) I got some rememberin' to do.
