Crimson Rivers thoughts pt. 41
chapter 62:
1. petition to abolish the games, if not for their lack of morals, do it for james potter
2. regulus fussing over james >>>>>>>>>>>
3. 😳 fiancé discussion
4. “There's a war on, and James wants to plan his wedding.” oh no. oh no. oh no. he’s so me fr
5. omg not reg wanting to see sirius and projecting that onto james 😭😭😭
6. they’re having a sleepover and i’m going feral over it
7. i’m not really mad at alice for all they’re saying, but i don’t think james deserves to hear it like this, or even be treated this way over frank’s death. they all knew the risk. frank made a decision, knowing the risk. james should not have to feel that eternal guilt
8. okay i’m kinda mad at alice, but i don’t really blame her per se. she’s grieving and is saying hurtful things she might not otherwise say. but it doesn’t make what she said okay. this is all so complicated
9. wolfstar deserves peace. give them peace istg. sirius doesn’t deserve these nightmares
10. *untraumatizes your blorbo* FUCK IT BACKFIRED! HE HAS MORE TRAUMA NOW
11. “"Fucking hell," Sirius hisses, clattering into the open chair next to Remus with an aggrieved air to him, eyes bulging as he drops his plate on the table. "I just had three different people corner me in the line to fucking flirt with me. Nevermind that I'm less than two weeks out of fucking Azkaban or anything, and when I mentioned that, they started, like, cooing at me. One of them offered to give me fucking sponge bath."
"What?" Remus' head whips around. "Who?"”
yo, those people should be scared. remus is in protective mode
12. the reason tension is so fucking high in the phoenix is probably because there are no fucking celebrations or events
13. i love how the gang is together, laughing and joking 😊😊
14. remus is a genius and i love him for putting the peices together about vanity and vespa
15. going insane over vanity’s impact in winning
chapter 63:
1. the districts are immune!!!
2. dorlene having sex after a mission is so them
3. “”I want to die with your head between my legs."” REAL
4. i am unamused 😐 dorcas and marlene should Not be discussing their after-war plans and what they’ll be doing when they’re old
5. “Two bodies and one heart” used to describe lily and remus has me in PIECES
6. mary and lily getting to have sex (that actually means something to lily) >>>>>>>>>>
7. also i’m so glad that sapphic sex was written to be that soft, intimate, and beautiful. especially with a trans woman. i feel like i never see sex scenes with trans women that aren’t completely fetishized
8. reading a jegulus fight has me feeling like an eight year old that walked in on mommy and daddy yelling over finances
9. 😭😭😭😭 not barty further spreading rumors about him being james and reg’s whores. this is so funny y’all
10. also not james teasing reg about having baby names picked out, only to reveal that reg literally has baby names picked out
11. demisexual sirius having a complex relationship with sex and desire (all the asexual part and all the very very horny parts) is literally my favorite thing in the world. i have never seen an demisexual character so similar to myself as him.
12. 😭😭 not remus cumming in his pants just cause he was slammed into a wall lmao

One shitpost on Reddit. One throwaway comment. One story that was supposed to be a crack oneshot. And as of today, we’re 13 chapters and 21k words in and not even close to done yet.
Michael Gregson shows up alive, a fortnight or so before Edith and Bertie’s wedding. Edith has a choice to make.

SPIKE: Now that was fun! ADAM: You were successful? SPIKE: Easier than I'd thought it'd be, too. ADAM: You're sure? SPIKE: Feel it in my bones. It's, uh... called the Yoko Factor. Don't tell me you've never heard of the beat? ADAM: I have. I like "Helter Skelter." SPIKE: What a surprise. The point is, they were once a real powerful group. It's not a stretch to say they ruled the world. And when they broke up everyone blamed Yoko, but the fact is the group split itself apart, she just happened to be there. And you know how it is with kids. They go off to college, they grow apart. Way of the world.

I know I shouldn't, but I feel bad for not getting as much writing done lately. At least it's quiet.
Chapter 13 of One Last Plan
-
In the dim of night, the phoenix chicks sounded off. Calling and shrieking nervously at the shadowed figure slinking through the yard.
The French doors leading to the back garden clicked quietly as the handle turned. The door slowly opened, without so much as a creak to warn the couple inside.
Shutting the door behind her, Lute smirked in the near-total darkness.
Raising her sword into position, she crept along the floor towards the bed with confidence that this time she would succeed.
Quickly, she jabbed the sword into the sleeping form before it could move.

Artificial Phoenix Chapter 13 !
“Oh, there you are.” Mikey sighed and let go of him. “Jeez, we were shouting at you like crazy.”  Leo leaned around Mikey so Raphael could see him. “You didn’t go off to the dead zone again did you?” “Excuse me?” Draxum spoke from the table.  “Uh, yeah, I did, actually.” Raphael looked at his lap, saw there was still fruit in the bowl, and dumped all of it in his mouth at once.  “Hold on for just a moment.” The alchemist continued. “What do you mean by ‘the dead zone.’” Leo rolled his eyes and looked back. “Well, when we were trapped in a cage. You know, your cage, under that stupidly tall tower you were on or whatever. Raph here managed to contact our grandma. Who is dead.” The slider paused for a moment, then glanced at Raph again. “I assume she’s dead.”  Raphael nodded and got off the floor. “Yeah, I just tried the same thing again and it worked.”  “You have to show us the trick.”  “You can just speak to the dead?” Draxum’s voice boomed.

Looking Ahead to 2024
With the new year finally here, I thought this would be a good time to list the films I am most excited about coming to theaters in 2024. So I present the films I am most excited about coming out this year (in alphabetical order):
Ballerina
Spinning out of the John Wick films comes this action thriller starring Ana de Armas that takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 and Chapter 4.
Beetlejuice 2
Apparently, it took 36 years for someone to say his name three times because Beetlejuice is back! Tim Burton directs the sequel starring original stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara and joined by new addition Jenna Ortega.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
I'll be honest, I really liked Beverly Hills Cop III and am disappointed we never got to see the 2013 CBS pilot about Axel Foley's son. Count me in for the fourth film coming to Netflix this year.
Deadpool 3
The lone Marvel Studios film coming in 2024 is a continuation of the Fox Deadpool series. But with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine, this one is one to watch.
Dune: Part Two
Return to Arrakis with director Denis Villeneuve for this adaptation of the second half of Frank Herbert’s Dune. Originally slated for a late 2023 release, it is finally coming this year.
The Fall Guy
Ryan Gosling is a stuntman turned investigator in this action comedy, based on a 1980s TV series, co-starring Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Anya Taylor-Joy is Furiosa in this origin story focused on Charlize Theron's character from Fury Road.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
The Splenger kids are back in this sequel to 2021's Afterlife (and the fourth film in the Ghostbusters series).
Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 and Chapter 2
While this may be two films, let's count it as one. Coming this year is Kevin Costner's epic Western Horizon. And don't forget, Costner has plans for four Horizon films.
IF
John Krasinski writes and directs this fantasy comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as a man who can see people's imaginary friends.
Joker: Folie a Deux
Joaquin Phoenix returns as the Joker is joined by Lady Gaga has Dr. Harleen Quinzel in this sequel to 2019's award-winning Joker.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
Guy Ritchie directs Henry Cavill in this action spy film about the British black ops during WWII.
Twisters
As a huge fan of 1996's Twister, I am ready for more. More twisters.
Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story
Is 2024 the year we finally see Jerry Seinfeld's film about the origins of Pop-Tarts for Netflix? I sure hope so.
Wolfs
Jon Watts writes and directs this psychological action-thriller starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
Honorable Mention (films not mentioned above): Argylle, Madame Web, Drive-Away Dolls, Road House, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Abigail, Civil War, Challengers, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Inside Out 2, Bad Boys 4, The Bikeriders, A Quiet Place: Day One, Project Artemis, Alien: Romulus, Kraven the Hunter, Venom 3, Alto Knights, Red One, Gladiator 2, Wicked: Part One, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Nosferatu.
Now for a quick look ahead to 2024, my top picks for that year are Avatar 3, The Batman - Part II, Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four, Mission: Impossible 8, Superman: Legacy, and any of the above-mentioned films that get bumped to 2025.
Looking back at the 15 films on my Looking Ahead to 2023 list from last year: I saw 13 in theaters, one was bumped to 2024 and is included above, and one I didn't get a chance to see yet thanks to the flu. (sorry Wonka).

Kinn moaned, tugging a little on his handcuffed wrist. The arm weighing down the other cuff was limp, and Kinn sighed as he slowly pushed himself up to his elbows, then his palms, wincing at the rush of blood from his head as he did so. Once he sat upright, he took a few deep breaths and waited for his head to stop spinning, then reached out to try shaking Porsche awake. But when he wrapped his hand over Porsche’s bicep, the coldness of his skin made Kinn freeze. “Porsche!?” Kinn twisted to get to his knees and shook Porsche. The movement uncurled the bodyguard and he splayed out, still limp. Still cold.
At the bottom of a ravine in the middle of the woods, Kinn wakes up handcuffed to a cold corpse.
He soon learns he should have paid just a little more attention to his hot bodyguard.

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers!
tagged by @bbcphile
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
69. NICE.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
522,701
Smoke and Mirrors (Sephiroth/Cloud, drag queen canon divergence) has disproportionately contributed to this.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I am sadly monofannish, so at the moment I am writing in Mysterious Lotus Casebook 蓮花樓. There are a few fandoms I have gone back to writing to, like Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney when a new game comes out. I suspect I will dive back into Smoke and Mirrors once I am done with MLC and I play FF7 Rebirth.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Day Still Young (Wrightworth PWP)
Safe and Sound (ZoroLu PWP)
Storm Before the Calm (A Wrighworth piece I wrote for an exchange, I'm surprised it's this popular!)
Love and Longing (Wrightworth piece I wrote a long time ago)
Perennial Passions (Wrightworth PWP)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do my best when I am able, but sometimes I don't always get around to it or I don't have the spoons. I apologize if you've left a comment and I haven't been able to respond. Thank you.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I smashed out Tarnished Silver (Sol/Ky, Guilty Gear, Major Character Death) in one evening because I was shocked that one of the audio dramas would have an AU that kills off a main char
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I mostly do one-shots or series that are comprised of one shots that take place in the same universe. Euphemistically, all of my smut has a happy ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Extremely rarely. And if I did, I would report and then delete.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
All the time. I think every time I get into a ship I write porn for them. My usual tags are Porn Without Plot and Porn With Feelings.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I am extremely proud of Born for the Fast Life, my Ace Attorney x Fast and Furious crossover. This might be the only multi-chaptered fic of any significant length I have ever finished in my life.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
A few over the years. Most recently, the entire Smoke and Mirrors series has been translated into Chinese.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've done massive RPs before and collaborated on universes, but never a specific fic.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I am mono-fannish, so my favorite ship is always whoever is currently my ship, which is Di Feisheng/Li Lianhua. I suspect I will always love and have a soft spot for Zoro/Luffy from One Piece.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Two Bodies (Baze/Chirrut, Rogue One). I had so much backstory for them in my head, but it'll never be done. I need to learn that I am fickle and easily distracted and thus not made for long novel-length projects.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Action/fight scenes, car chases, Porn with Feelings.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Finishing things I start.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I'm only fluent enough to do this in Chinese, and only for short bits of conversation. I've only done this once for 天涯海角 The Ends of the Earth
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Fushigi Yuugi, but it was all for myself and only two people on this earth have read it. First fandom I wrote and posted for? Weiss Kreuz. How's that for a throwback?
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I'm proudest of Smoke and Mirrors, mostly because the characters are so vivid, but also because of its length and the way it's been plotted, even though it's yet undone and I don't have an ending for it. I'd like to figure out where I'm going someday and finish it.
I'm shit at tagging people, so anybody who reads this, if you want to do it, please!

Pre-diabetes and Diabetes Early Awareness Education and Its Effects on BMI Submitted by: Nancy L. Gee Comment by Pamela Love: Looks like an interesting project, Nancy.Very good start! Be sure whenever you submit your manuscript that you change wording from study to project and avoid referring to the project as research. Review carefully for grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, format, or APA errors. Pay close attention to the reviewers comments as you continue on this DNP journey. Stay focused &be sure to follow the DPI template as you prepare for IRB submission. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. A., 2013). Obesity is a leadingcause of increased risks for developing many health problems such as an excessive rise in bodyweight. Furthermore, it isone of the most essential and changeable risk factors within the pathogenesis of health are complications problems like type-1 diabetes (T1D) andtype-2 diabetes (T2D). These problems are well, thus, is documented in most biochemical studies as well as cross-sectional research (Piven, 2014). In current times, there are many all-important biochemical studies in the inter-relationship amid body mass index (BMI) and its connection with the advancement of diabetic issues (Innocent, Oweh, Sandra & Josiah, 2013). Comment by Thomas, Maria: Space Comment by Thomas, Maria: Remove and change all tracking changes before submission for AQR Clarify this. Check for sentence flow so it is easy for the reader to follow your logic The Center for Disease Control (CDC) anticipates that nearly thirty-three percent of adults may have diabetes by the year 2050 (CDC, 2010; Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 2016); as presently, more than twenty-nine million adults in America have been diagnosed with diabetic issues, and an additional eighty-six million have pre-diabetes (Statistics about Diabetes, n.d; Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 2016). Pre-diabetes is a diagnosis where blood sugar levels are elevated, however lesser than the established inception of diabetes (Kowall et al., 2012). Kowallet al. (2012) write pre-diabetes is a result of Impaired Fasting Glucose (IFG), Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT), or perhaps a mixture of IFG and IGT (p. 828). Moreover, diabetes has numerous effects which might consist of several health disorders and, in a few instances, failure of bodily organs (Tabk, Herder, Rathmann, Brunner, & Kivimki, 2012; Brown, 2017). Thus, T2D puts individuals at risk for a variety of ailments like cardiac conditions, amputations, renal malfunction, vision loss, as well as obesity. Weight reduction has been seen to stop the triggering of T2D and morbid obesity in individuals having pre-diabetes (Brown & Kuk, 2015). As a result, early diagnosis and management of pre-diabetes can avoid its crossover to complete onset diabetes and thus reduce the related problems (Brown & Kuk, 2015, p. 79). Little is known about how patients respond to Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME). Thus, the goal of this project study will be to measure the awareness and knowledge of pre-diabetes and diabetic risk factors among obese patients in a family practice clinic. The project study adopts a quantitative approach using a descriptive method and pre-post tests to determine subjects' understanding and knowledge of pre-diabetes and T2D. The pretests will establish current knowledge ,and gaps about diabetes awareness, and post-test will determine the knowledge the participants gained from the Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) intervention. The results will state the advancement of the pre-diabetes and diabetes informative and knowledge-based programs. Comment by Pamela Love: Project, not study. Correct throughout paper. This chapter focuses on a particular target audience while describing the idiosyncrasies of this Direct Patient Improvement (DPI) project such as background of the study, problem statement, purpose of the study, clinical question(s), advancing scientific knowledge, significance of the study, rationale for methodology, nature of the study, definition of terms, assumptions, limitations and delimitations and lastly, summary and organization of the remaining chapters. Background to the Project The frequency of identified diabetic issues amid U.S. adults has gone up twofold within the past four decades and seventy-five percent in the past twenty-five years (NCD Risk Factor Collaboration, 2016; Gregg et al., 2004; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2006). The lifetime danger of acquiring diabetes within the U.S. in 2000 had been 33% for males and 39% for females, and this had been even greater amid U.S. minority communities (Narayan et al., 2003). BMI is a highly reliable, yet a controllable risk element for diabetes (American Diabetes Association, 2017; Ford, Williamson and Liu, 1997; Diabetes Prevention Program Research Group, 2002). Nevertheless, the link between pre-diabetes, diabetes, and BMI has notbeen extensively examined (Arayan, James, Theodore,et al., 2007). Medical experts use BMI to determine whether a person is overweight, obese, normal or underweight. It is a dtermination of the ratio of a persons weight and their height (Lo, Wong, Khalechelvam and Tam, 2016). The following are details of the findings from research, about the relationship between the BMI ratio, pre-diabetes, and diabetes. It was found by Narayanet al. (2007) that ones risk of developing diabetes in their lifetime is one in three, at the point of birth. He further noted that the risks of developing the condition across the categories of BMI over a lifetime are still unclear. The study sought to demonstrate the specific lifetime risks for the various BMIs for people in the US, based on sex, ethnicity, and age subgroups (Narayan et al., 2007). The survey data from the National Health Interview n=780, 694, from 1997 to 2004 was the basis for indicating race, sex, age, ethnicity, and the prevalence of BMI-linked occurrence of diabetes in the US in 2004 (Narayan et al., 2007). The data from the US Census Bureau including age, sex-specific mortality, population rate projections, and race were used along with two earlier studies relating to mortality, to project the mortality rates related to BMI ratios (Narayan et al., 2007). The findings and estimates informed the Markov Model projection of the lifetime risks of diabetes diagnosed by race, sex baseline age, and BMI. According to the results, the lifetime risk of developing diabetes at the age of eighteen for underweight people was 7.6,and those who were obese was 70.3%. The figures also increased from 12.2 to 74.4 for women in the same weight categories. The difference in lifetime risk was lower at advanced ages. For example, at age 65, healthynormal weight males had their lifetime risk difference rise from 3.7 to 23.9 points in percentages between overweight people and the ones regarded as very obese. The figure increased by 8.7 percentage points to 26.7 for women (Narayan et al., 2007a). It was also determined that the effect of BMI on the duration of diabetes compounded with an increase in ones age (Narayan et al., 2007b). The risk of developingdiabetes was investigated in case-control research by Ganzet al. (2014) by studying its incidence versus BMI ratios. The rising effect of BMI, based on BMI categories was assessed. Those who recorded weights between 25 and 29.9 were considered overweight. Moreover, then there was the Obesity Class I who measured between 30 and 34.9. Class II Obesity group registered BMI index from 35 to 39.9. Obesity Class III on its part recorded figures equal to or over 40(Ganz et al., 2014). Relative risks and ratios regarding the odds were calculated from a range of logistic regression outcomes. Age, cardiac history, sex, and hyper-inflammatory were used to select group subjects (Ganz et al., 2014). Measures of BMI were taken a year preceding the first diagnosis of T2D. BMI was obtained from dates that were randomly assigned for those that were in control group. The relationship between BMI and the incidence of diabetes is strong with the risk increasing with higher BMI (Ganz et al., 2014). There is a significant correlation between diabetes and being overweight. Some studies have established a compelling link between the two factors. In one study, for instance, Akbari et al. (2017) found that patient education regarding T2D can help reduce barriers. The core aim of the study was to establish the impact of an education program intervention, using the beliefs, attitudes, subjective norms and enabling factorsmodel (BASNEF) on awareness barriers, adaptation, lifestyle and support for patients living with T2D (Akbari, 2017). Comment by Thomas, Maria: Spell out first time use Removing the barriers associated with pre-diabetes and diabetes is a reasonable step towards empowering patients with diabetes to manage their lives with the condition and to recognize what affects the barriers (Akbari, 2017). The findings indicated that there was a clear difference between a score derived from living barriers such as lifestyle, awareness, protection and adaptation components, and the BASNEF model variable, i.e., enabling factors, attitude, subjective norm, knowledge, and behavioral intention (Akbari, 2017). Problem Statement T2D also referred to asnon-insulin-dependent diabetes (NIDDM), makes up most cases of diabetes mellitus globally. In 2000 there had been roughlyone hundred and fifty million people with the illness and that this quantity is most likely to increase twofold by the year 2025 (Kaveeshawar & Cornwall, 2014; King, Aubert, & Herman, 1998). T2D will be the fourth or perhaps the fifth prominent cause of demise in many developed nations and there's expanding proof that this has attained epidemic dimensions in quite a few developing and recently industrialized nations (Amos, McCarty, &Zimmet, 1997). All-time low levels of T2Dare found in places where individuals retain a traditional lifestyle (Gray, 2015; Bennett, 1999). Dramatic modifications in the frequency ofthe occurrence of T2D is found in places where there have already been significant changes in the kind of foods utilized. The food choices range from the conventional native diet plan to a standard western diet plan (Hu, 2011; Bennett, 1999; Lako and Nguyen, 2001; Hetzel and Michael, 1987). Changing illness levels are revealed by modifications in some dietary elements along with modifications in other lifestyle associated elements, notably a decrease in physical exercise (Sami, Ansari, Butt, Rashid, & Hamid, 2017; Steyn et al., 2004). Comment by Maria Thomas: Space It is not known if and to what degree these facts are known to diabetes patients. Therefore, Because of these facts, the purpose of this project study is to assess the awareness and knowledge of diabetes amongst patients with prediabetes in a family practice clinic. After carrying out DSME pre-intervention assessments on patients with prediabetes, gaps will be recognized in awareness and understanding of prediabetes and diabetes amongst diabetes patientsthe subjects. Measurement of BMI will be completedpre-test and eight weeks after post-test to assess the effects of the DSME intervention related to weight loss. Comment by Thomas, Maria: Present a clear declarative statement that begins with It is not known if and to what degree/extent..., or It is not known how/why and. Comment by Thomas, Maria: Include the broad population affected by the problem Absent from the literature is information on how patients respond to self-management methods that should be adopted to attain the preferred benefits, and precisely what they will do with the knowledge they gain from DSME educational interventions. There's an expanding demand for interventions that enhance patients understanding and knowledge of pre-diabetes and diabetes (Islam et al., 2014). The substantial population at an increased risk for or with diabetes is actually within the age bracket of 25 - 65 years. Insufficient steps to decrease theoccurrence of pre-diabetes might result in a considerable boost in health investment, morbidity, as well as other associated health circumstance (National Diabetes Statistics Report, 2014, para 8). For healthcare providers managing an increased incidence of diabetes diagnoses, health interventions will be essential to avoid diabetic issues or postpone their development (Islam et al., 2014). Such endeavors can consist of acompletelifestyle change for all those at an increased risk for pre-diabetic issues and timely treatment for patients suffering from the disorder. An ambitious method focusing on individuals at an increased risk of diabetes is a significant public health strategy targeted at reducing the threat elements for pre-diabetes and diabetes (International Diabetes Federation, 2013). Purpose of the Project The purpose of this Direct Practice Improvement (DPI) project is to evaluate awareness and understanding concerning pre-diabetes and diabetes in pre-diabetic individuals and the effects of the DSME on BMI. To determine if the patients qualify for the study and are pre-diabetic, the researcher will utilize patientshealthcare records to choose individuals with increased fasting glucose (IFG), and hypertension in the family practice clinic. The potential study participant will be recognized as obese if they have aBMI of more than 30kg/m2. Obesity and hypertension are both related to diabetes and may be considered as inclusion criteria. The independent variables will be the DSME intervention plan, and the dependent variable will be patients awareness level about the threat of acquiring T2D and awareness concerning risk lowering habits and treatments, and these factors will be assessed utilizing the Diabetic Knowledge Test 2 (DKT2), a close-ended questionnaire. The DKT2 was designed and developed by the Michigan Diabetes Research Training Center (MDRTC). Its purpose is for testing common knowledge of diabetes in pre-diabetic and diabetic patients.Thuspatients. Thus, the study uses a quantitative descriptive research design. Another dependent variable will be BMI assessment. The BMI will be measured by weighing the patient before awareness education and eight weeks after receiving the DSME intervention. Additional independent variables are how awareness and understanding levels amongst individuals differ based on education level, andlastly, the health belief model will be the theoretical foundation for this study. This project will make use of diabetes associated queries in the pre-assessment to evaluate and classify individuals according to their understanding and knowledge of diabetic issues. Theseinclusion criteria for this study will be adults of both sexes with a BMI of more than 30kg/m2. Moreover, the results might be helpful in the advancement of future interventions towards decreasing pre-diabetes and diabetes risk in communities with ahigherrisk of acquiring T2D. Clinical Question: The clinical question is: Among pre-diabetic patients with a BMI > 30kg/m2in a family practice clinic to what extent does providing diabetic education using Diabetic Self-Management Education (DSME) compared to providing no education result in improvement in patient awareness and knowledge of pre-diabetes and diabetes and a decreased BMI over an eight week period? When promoting interventions to assist with prevention and control of diabetes, awareness is an essential resource (Demaio et al., 2013). There's a connection amid individuals with reduced levels of health understanding and increased diabetic problems (Maina, Ndegwa, Njenga, &Muchemi, 2011). Patients understanding of their health could be helpful in the assessment of the risks associated with developing diabetes, DSME interventions to reduce the risk, and their control over lifestyle changes including weight reduction. Consequently, outcomes of this research will promote stakeholders, within the healthcare sector to plan, create, and implement complete health campaigns focused on pre-diabetes-related DSME interventions. The project will analyze the understanding and awareness of diabetes amongst patients with prediabetes in a family practice clinic with a BMI >30kg/m2. The research project query is: among pre-diabetic patients with a BMI > 30kg/m2in a family practice clinic to what extent does providing diabetic education using Diabetic Self-Management Education (DSME) compared to providing no education result in improvement in patient awareness and knowledge of pre-diabetes and diabetes and a decreased BMI over an eight week period. The independent variable will be the DSME intervention plan, and the dependent variable is patients awareness level about the threat of acquiring T2D and awareness concerning risk lowering habits and treatments, and these factors will be assessed utilizing a quantitativedescriptive research design and the DKT2. The DKT2will be used to assess participants knowledge pre-DSME and post-DSME. Other dependent variables will be BMI assessment. The BMI will be measured by weighing the patient before pre-diabetes awareness education and eight weeks after receiving the intervention. Additional dependent variables are how awareness and understanding levels amongst individuals differ based on education level, and lastly, the health belief model will be used as the theoretical foundation for the projectstudy. Advancing Scientific Knowledge There is a controversy inexistence, relating to the BMI mortality diabetes paradox in which the BMI optimal category is higher in patients that are non-diabetic.Bayset al. (2007) noted that not all obese or overweight cases develop diabetes and that not all with diabetic conditions were necessarily obese or overweight (Bays et al., 2007). A paradox regarding BMI ratios and diabetes still exists and needs a solution. Controversy is still rife related to the relationship between BMI and the occurrence of pre-diabetes and diabetes. Physicians will be empowered to minimize the risk factors for diabetes sooner if there is afull understanding of the relationship between the two. Modern day is well known for the diabetes epidemic. It's definitely not a mere coincidence having been born on the same day as Ali. His songs resonate with me on an incredibly deep level. They put my cores into music form, and that is just a thing of its own! I'm honestly incredibly grateful for having that in my life helping me to listen and see the shape of my inner self.
Being a massive fan of Remus Lupin is also not a coincidence at all! I feel like I get him in more ways than my words could ever grasp, and I have just realized this song does, too. To me, this is married Remus once he had already come back home to his family and, most of all, to himself. This is Remus letting himself listen and be his inner self, growing out of who he has always thought he would be, letting himself bloom, letting light in. To me, this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened to, and it does remind me of one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I have ever read, Taura Norma's "Phoenix Rising." I feel like the whole chapter resonates with it actually, but this passage particularly is very fitting and always gets me sobbing:
"Somewhere in the night clouds, Fawkes was singing a lament. Like a sweet breeze, it travelled in through the window. The bright melody danced into Remus’ head and under his skin, the sensation like the soft warmth of phoenix fire. And a quiet calm, as unburdened as red and gold feathers floating on the air currents, settled upon him and though it was still night Remus could see, in the delicate space behind his eyelids, a vast sky of the most piercing, luminous blue. Others dwelt in the music too, others he had lost. They were distant, but edging closer, as if trying to tell him something. The music swelled with a hope that was beautiful but agonising: so immense and impossible, so much harder to embrace than despair. Remus almost covered his ears. But he didn’t."
I mean, GO TAURAAAA, right?!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I just love her writing so much! 😍
GO ALI AND ED TULLETT as well, the songwriters!
And GO REMUS!!!!
