As someone with a major depressive disorder and ADHD, some aspects of self-care are difficult. It's hard to get started with brushing your teeth, and when you go for so long without it, you forget how good it feels.
This can be explained by the hot-cold empathy gap. When you're sitting in a feeling, it's easy to.. feel it. You recognize the emotion, the sensation.
It's a type of bias that, in my opinion are more prevelant in certain neurotypes.
According to the decision lab this empathy gap
" describes our tendency to underestimate the influence of varying mental states on our own behavior and make decisions that only satisfy our current emotion, feeling, or state of being. "

Positivity
Tumblr media
Hi guys! I decided to write about something that I hope will help you in life. I want this to be something that people refer to when they need that tiny spark in their lives. Positivity is something that I believe can really change the world for the best and basically turn it all around. Our world is unfortunately surrounded by negativity wherever we go. But, it is up to us if we are going to let it defeat our ultimate aim of positivity in life, or not. There is something called “reframing a situation”. It comes back to the idea of optimism and pessimism. To reframe a situation is to be optimistic about it and see the good in it, over the bad. This is the first step to positivity, and it really helps you mentally and it generally helps you view the world in a better way. Next, you must surround yourself with people who make YOU happy. People who you can COUNT on. People who you TRUST. People you VALUE and LOVE. I promise you that that makes the biggest difference in your life, because not only does it allow you to be positive, but it also increases your self-esteem to exceedingly high levels; thus improving your mental health. I also believe that social media can be the cause of a big chunk of the negativity in our lives. Social media allows people to get to you and it also just takes up so much of your mind space. The negativity on social media astounds me and really does make me think of how the world would be better in countless ways without it. Cutting yourself off social media just makes your mind feel cleaner and your mental health simply better, and many will admit those facts to you. I would just like to conclude by saying that you should really stop and think. There are many ways in which you can make your life heaps better, and it is never too late. That tiny positive action you choose to act on can make the biggest difference in your life, and you will never regret it!
“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results” - Willie Nelson

Getting Started - or how I got into fitness People always said to me “well you just have to get started” when I had issues with my body and my life in general when I was at the age of 14. Although I always knew that getting into sports would help me, it somehow took a long while to really enjoy it. What most people don’t get: often it’s not about just pushing through. It’s more about finding ways to truly enjoy this and not having to force yourself to go to the gym or the running track. This blog is trying to focus on showing ways to motivate and find new incentive for those, who feel like I felt a couple of years ago. Therefore, there are three things, I find very important to know and identify.
Key is knowing yourself or trying to know yourself better. It’s way easier to move and be active if you know what you’re into. If for example, you’re having a job that is in an office, you’re less likely to move during working hours.
Finding out if you’re more into individual or team sports. For some people, it’s easier motivate themselves if they have one or several training partners, some people (like me) prefer the focus if they’re are working out on their own.
Be open for new impulses. There are always new possibilities to burn calories. The more open you are, the more flexibility and possibilities you are going to indulge in. It’s not going to be monotone if you don’t let it be that way.
As you can see, a lot of times, fitness is also about reframing things. You can totally modify your perception on it if you approach it positively. This blog is going to show you ideas and motivational content - so stay tuned! :)

How does hypnosis work? From a therapeutic perspective, hypnosis is an internally focused state of mind which is entered intentionally in order to achieve positive behavioural and experiential change. The hypnotic state can be achieved either alone through the process of self-hypnosis or through direction/guidance/suggestion by way of a hypnotist. In both cases an internal focus is achieved by the person in hypnosis wherein the subconscious mind is rendered open to inquiry, suggestion and change. It is this process which has been shown to be capable of bringing about lasting change in waking conscious experience and ongoing behaviour. . https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyi4Fs5-qVoMgJha8h0CzGQ #innerbeauty #tryhypnotherapy #singleeyehypnosis #guidedmeditations #innerchange #solutionsfocusedtherapy #hypnosis #mindpower #learnhypnosis #selfsuggestion #reframeyourthoughts #hypnotherapistsofinstagram #mindbodysoul #mindfulmovement #calmyourmind #positivethinking #innerfocus #mentalhealthmatters #saturdaymorning #mentalhealthrecovery https://www.instagram.com/p/BwL8mAZAoZp/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=11g8hgvy98ciq
