Arrrggh Peck looks so sweet in that picture!!! How does she pull it off? She's a hecking ARC trooper who can decapitate droids with her bare hands, she should not be able to look so soft and cute 🥺🥺🥺 (in case you didn't notice, I adore her. That picture of her and Bella on that couch looks so damn soft and fluffy it straight up gave me three cavities minimum and also looks like it should hang in a museum somewhere)

See, the thing about Peck being all soft and cute is because of Bella. She has so much love for her little sister that Peck will indulge her in just about anything. Bella is really the first being Peck truly clicked with. She had no attachment to her batchmates on Kamino, so when she got assigned as Bella’s second (and personal guard), Peck’s devotion to the young Jedi Padawan kinda skyrocketed and never came down.

Anyone outside their close friends and family circle usually gets a suspicious glare. It’s very guard dog behavior heheh

I'm going to say it, I think the Rani reveal was the worst in the (modern) show's history.

I love a good Master reveal. Daleks, Cybermen, young Davros, Sutekh, Midnight entity, etc. What Russell got so right in 2005 was that, yes, a good chunk of your audience isn't going to have a clue who this is. But the Doctor does, and it scares them to their core. So it scares us

The YANA reveal is great at this. It's designed to stand up as a "oh shit" moment no matter what you already know. Utopia doesn't explain anything about the Master and yet you know exactly what the stakes are

But Intergalactic Song Contest has already ended before the reveal. The stakes for the finale have already been set. The TARDIS doors have exploded and the Doctor is MIA. I almost clicked off the episode before it happened for christs sake

Gary and Mike are the only ones left to stand in for the audience, but they're just confused. They're not in danger or scared. This episode so heavily emphasises the Doctor is the last of the time lords and then... somebody just regenerates and there isn't a reaction. The characters don't have the context and therefore most of the audience won't either

And don't get me started on how it undermines Mrs. Flood. We've had this mysterious character for 2 years and suddenly, randomly, we're meant to be okay with it being somebody else that finishes this plot? I like what some people have said about how the Rani would think a new version of herself is superior - but again GENERAL AUDIENCES DONT KNOW THAT. They just feel bait and switched (surely?)
