Do they wear a watch? (NPMD)

Richie: Obviously we're starting with him, and yes, he does wear a watch. He used to have a sailor moon watch, a Pokémon watch, a few more anime, but now he just has a black and blue, waterproof digital watch, since those ones were too fragile (ie, people kept breaking them)

Ruth: She has a watch but it's broken. She wears it every day and constantly forgets it's broken.

Pete: Absolutely he does. He has a waterproof analog watch that he has to stare at for at least 30 seconds to read, but he does have it.

Steph: She doesn't have a watch, but she will yank Pete's wrist to read his.

Grace: She generally doesn't wear a watch, but she does wear one to church so that she doesn't have to pull her phone to check the time.

Max: No, but he for some reason keeps looking at his wrist as if he does. Like, he'll pull up his sleeve and everything, and then realise he doesn't wear a watch and has to pull his phone.

Shapiro: She absolutely wears a watch. No explanation needed.

Bailey: He used to wear a watch, but the strap broke after a rough kerfuffle.

Jason: He wants one but forgets to buy one

Kyle: He thinks watches are stupid

Brenda: She has a smart watch

Stacy: She thinks watches are ugly

Solomon: He wears a watch, and so does Miss Tesburger. They make sure they're synced up every week.

Ohmygod ya’ll i finally looked into how to record your phone screen, you’re all doomed! Im making gifs of NPMD!

Heres some of my fave moments from the digital ticket that weren’t part of the pro shot on youtube! (is it okay if i do that? I don’t want to infringe on sales or anything. I HIGHLY recommend buying the bonus content if only for the digital ticket! BECAUSE I DIDNT EVEN INCLUDE THE BEST ONE for intrigue purposes haha.)

These are going to be out of order because the sizes were all over the place. Also,

First of all, this isnt a gif i just wanted to point out how fucking cool this shot was!

the fact that you can see this guys face drop from at least 30 feet away is an incredible feat of acting 👏👏 (this is zoomed in from where the camera was placed in the back for a slightly better quality)

Lastly the queen herself! Ive seen a few people praise jon for his physical acting in the nerdy prudes song (justifiably) but look at this fall Lauren does! I fucking flinched! Ohmygod she looks so small next to branner it breaks my heart 💔

Every time i try to say something like “everyone in starkid is so talented, but especially _____” i end up just listing the entire cast. They are an incredible team. I hope they get whatever they fucking want in life.

My personal headcanon is that Pete and Ruth broke down as soon as they heard Richie died and missed everything after that in the office with Shapiro and Bailey, and Shapiro begins to think it's Steph and Grace.

Then, when she meets them in the woods, she fully believes Pete is a hostage. She's met him before when he went to report his brother's disappearance. She has a soft spot for the kid and feels like she has to protect him from the supposed Terrible Twosome

Coolest Quick Changes in “Nerdy Prudes”

Wanted to take a moment to draw your attention to some of my favorite quick changes from Nerdy Prudes Must Die:

Max > Dying!Max, and Richie > Mascot!Richie These two were fairly obvious and straightforward with only one item of clothing to change, but they had to build these costumes to make them easy to get on and off!

Detective Shapiro > Bryce’s Nerd, and Officer Bailey > Kyle

Just right there in the opening. Wigs, hats, glasses, jackets, and even shoes. They had one short verse to go from their law enforcement looks to their student looks, and they made it look easy.

Kim’s Nerd > Karen Chastity, and Mark Chastity > Officer Bailey

Kim and Curt each had one short scene to get these quick changes done. Again, the number of articles of clothing and accessories (like the shoes and glasses!) are fantastic!

Peter Spankoffski > Dan Reynolds > Barbecue Guy, and Ruth Fleming > Donna > Ruth Fleming

These must have been intense. You can see them running offstage for all of these quick changes, and they have basically zero time for this. Joey’s quick changes here took less time overall, but Lauren had a more complicated change because of the wig/headgear, dress, and shoes. These two do a scene, change, do a dance number, change again, then come back for one of the funniest scenes in the show. Crazy impressive!

Stephanie and Peter > Homecoming outfits, and Max Jagerman > Homecoming student

Once again, after the scene of Max’s defeat ends, they have one tiny filler scene to change their whole outfit—again, including the shoes! Will’s quick change gets bonus points because even though he had more time, he had to get all of the ghost makeup off of his face, neck, and hands.

Honorable mentions go to all of the wig and hairstyle changes that the female performers had, because it was a LOT. Major kudos to the costume designer, June Saito, and the cast and crew members that pulled this off!
