basically they get together DURING THE WAR for some cross faction drama cuz theyre STUPID theyre so STUPID

so they start this romeo and juliet sort of relationship where they keep having to meet in secret to hang out

we didnt dwell too much on how this actually came to be bcuz we were thinking of this as like a real episode script for a 3 parter that would never exist and was thinking their g1 relationship would only be shown in flashbacks while it was already well underway BUT in the back of my mind i always thought it was something like: starscream makes the odd offhanded battleground sarcastic sort of flirty comment at bee and bee is like "??" and internally is like Wow thats crazy i never noticed before that starscream isnt just a huge ugly disgusting hideous mean ugly shambling beast, hes all that but also....interested in me?

i think what draws bee to starscream is that hes treated basically as the baby of the autobots, but going along with my favorite bee characterizations (g1 and the g1 mini novel story 'Joyride' where he kidnaps some delinquents and reenacts Christine and is overall really delightfully evil, ES and idw) hes kind of a jackass sometimes and not just the "sweet little bumblebee, friend to all" that everyone sees him as. I think bee finds his relationship with starscream gratifying because its rebellious and forbidden and also starscream treats him so differently from all the autobots. I also think he gets some sick pleasure from feeling morally superior to him and being able to tease and banter with him and having it always be ok no matter how far he goes because its STARSCREAM its impossible to feel sorry for him.

as for what starscream gets out of it: a scheme. clearly. LOL! I think when they first met up it was just out of curiosity and he planned to kidnap him maybe but for some reason didnt. so they kept seeing each other....and starscream was like "ok this is fine, if i build up trust with this scout maybe i can SEDUCE HIM TO OUR SIDE or take him in him as a hostage and get some brownie points w megs or take him apart and use him as scrap metal or SOMETHING"

i think a point of tension in all their little meetups is them simultaneously thinking "hes so easy to manipulate/I CAN CHANGE HIM"

I think starscream tries to pull a "i was born with glass bones and paper skin" on bee every so often but bee is too smart to fall for it lol. (basically what he did to hashtag in ES- he never learns!) but every once in a while during their talks theres..a tiiiiiny glimmer of honesty...something deeper inside past the lies and fakeass traumadumping that keeps bringing bumblebee back for more....

every time bee broaches the topic of joining the autobots it gets shot down and everytime starscream mentions him joining them bee is like "Are you out of your ever loving mind"

eventually things fall apart, as lazerbeak follows starscream out on one of their secret dates and soundwave confronts him at their spot threatens to snitch. Star is like "Wait i was just using him this entire time i actually dont feel anything for him at all but im sooo close to getting him to trust me enough that i can put on a convincing 'i wanna join the autobots' gambit pleeease dont tell megatron"............and then (dramatic sting) bumblebee was there the whole time...and heard the whole thing...........he givse ss a chance ....starscream digs his heels in and is like gah soundwave you just wasted months of work and soundwave is like ok lets just capture him. (lowkey he knows they were serious abt eachother and is using this as a way to make him choose between this bug or the decepticons) so starscream attacks bee and they capture him and in typical g1 fashion the autobots save him before 20 minutes are up but at that point all trust is LOST starbee is OVER theyre BROKEN UP AND STARSCREAM AND BUMBLEBEE HATE EACH OTHER NOW!!!!!!!!! (i think before optimus and crew showed up to the brig to bust him out starscream tried to come and talk to him when no one was looking but they got into a fight and starscream got genuinely angry that bee didnt believe this couldve TOTALLYYY BEEN AN INTENTIONAL GAMBIT...YOU SHOULDVE TRUSTED ME, so he digs his heels in even deeper and is like ITS TRUE I HATE YOU STUPID AUTOBRAT)

the war goes on. fast forward a million years. and they still havent talked extendedly since then. LOL

My personal ranking of He-Man shows

#6 - New Adventures

This one just never grabbed me, it's the same ballpark as the original show in terms of style but executed in a way that isn't as good. I like that they tried the new setting though, sci-fi is very fun.

#5 - The Live Action Movie

The 2000 D&D movie is better so bad it's good sword and sorcery. I watched this once and never will again. I did like that they brought a character back for Revolution, but that's for later.

#4 - He-Man 2002

This is the platonic ideal of an early two thousands animated show for young boys. I love it. It also is just edited badly, there are so many pauses between each action. In a later arc He-Man gets a claw attachment on his arm and I guess those toys sold because he never fucking takes it off.

#3 - He-Man and the- these all have the exact same title you'll have to bear with me. The cg one from the 2020s.

It's for kids. Not much to say here. It's like white bread mayo and turkey. I don't like the designs, I don't like the focus on attack names. There's a lot I don't like upon reflection. But I'd watch this before I watch the 2002 one, probably just because it's. well. white bread.

#2 - the original one!!

It's a classic! I did not grow up on it, but it's just a good fun time. Bad and funny in a lot of ways. Wish people wore more pants.

I am not going to include any she-ra stuff in this, by the way. Secret of the Sword is kinda a blast but it's not going in here.

#1 - Revelation and Revolution (2020s, Netflix)

These are listed as two distinct shows but it's more a part one, part two sequel thing. Maybe they should have been just one season each, but, whatever.

I fucking love these shows they're a genuine blast. I love the animation, I think the story is great, and although they are short it works really well as a more narratively-driven show instead of the usual episodic fare we know and love. In essence, this show functions as a soft "what if the original show's back and forth between good and evil finally hit an ending", working with those old designs and characters but shaking up the status quo and seeing what happens.

People don't like these shows. Some of that is probably because Teela gets a lot of focus, wears pants, and cuts her hair. Some of it is also because the shows have a lot of genuine flaws. I love it despite of them. It's a genuine blast that I could gush and complain about over and over again.

most of these are the VERY fun Rotary Snowplow most of which were Steam Powered (these started to loose Popularity in the 60s and 70s but there are still a few around mainly the Diesel powered ones that BNSF, Union Pacific, and the Alaska Railroad still have, and i think Canadian National has a few stationed in British Columbia) Rotary Snowplows are more efficient at lower speeds and are better in Mountianous area with deep deep snow, whereas the blade style work better at higher speeds and are preffered now, most modern locomotives are fitted with a small for smaller snowdrifts but occusionally they bring out the big guns, now the Rotaries are interesting because while they do have an engine most of them are not self propelled and usually require 2 or 3 locomotives to shove them, they may also need to be Bucked (basically Ramming the Snow) the main places where you are likely to see Rotary snowplows today are Donner pass in California between Sacremento and Reno near Tahoe on the old Overland Route (if you remember learning about the Central Pacific Railroad and the Original Transcontinental Railroad thats this they ran over Donner Pass) you can also find a Steam Powered Rotary Snowplow, Denver & Rio Grande Western OY she is on the 3 foot gauge Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in Chama New Mexico (my dad said he was gonna take me there and he never did >:[ )

those are the firetubes they carry hot air and gases (not smoke tho steam locomotives only produce smoke if they have incomplete combustion) from the Firebox through the boiler heating up the water to increase its pressure (it only turns to steam when the Throttle or Safety valve is opened this btw is called Flash Boiling, and its one of the basic concepts that the steam engine relies on so you can squeeze as much energy as possible out of the steam)

There has never been a Direct Train from New York to Los Angeles, you have always had to change trains in Chicago, St Louis or New Orleans, Also building HSR over the Rockies would have minimal benefit for the Amount it costs because its just not Populous Enough to justify all the Tunneling it would require, just start with Chicago to New York and other shorter corridors radiating out of Chicago hell there are already a lot of Railroad lines that are currently abandoned but could be converted into HSR
