When Benjamin was born, he wasn't obsessively searching for any anomalies in his baby, but rather enjoyed his time with his son. Being over the moon was little to say when he heard the news from the doctor. He'd finally teach little Benjamin everything that he lacked as a boy.

And now, thirteen years later, he was blessed with another girl. You cried upon knowing that Gabi would have her so longed sister. You heard Miguel's hurried steps rushing to your side and his eyes widened upon seeing you crying while trying to carefully pull Rosie out.

"Hey, hey, it's ok. Let me help"

Alarmed he managed to detach Rosie from you, and his eyes and yours could only widen as soon as your eyes fell on your nipple. Leakin not only with milk, but a faint pink-ish and red hue in it.

Her teething had made her uncomfortable and she wanted to breastfeed almost all day. But this particular bite had been painful enough to make you cry.

His silence had made you curious as he examined with all the gentleness in the world, Rosie's gums.

You gasped, a bit audibly and he tensed.

His little flower had gotten a part of him that brought him so many bad memories, and now they had hurted you.

"Hey, it's ok. Maybe it's time for her to be switched to the bottle."

Your caring hand caressed his shoulder, he melted at the touch and sighed.

"I'll... I'll come up with something."

"Miguel?"

You smooched his cheek and all the worries slumped off his frame.

"I love her, ok? Besides, Gabi once bit me like that. You did too, remember?"

Your soft elbows earned a little chuckle from him.

"Just means we gotta be careful. She's a chomper."

"Will let her bite my fingers then."

His little girl had calmed and clung to him, a little disgruntled by the itch inside her mouth.

"No wonder why she was so fussy."

Miguel rubbed Rosie's back in slow circles, soothing her and putting her to sleep.

"How's the nipple?"

"She punctured it with one of her tiny fangs. I'll be fine."

"Switch her to the bottle. We can't have her injure you again."

A soft whine came from his baby.

"I'll see what I can do, ok?"

Nodding, you went to the bathroom to take a better look at the small injury. He watched his baby, deep asleep on his arms, he then approached her crib and put her inside.

"Only I can play with my food, Mi niña.";

His large fingers massaged her scalp gently before tucking her in her lovingly pink blanket.

"Goodnight mi corazón"

Every time he ever met the man for business, his gaze would linger on the child much longer than the man he was having business with. That blank expression, those expensive and luxurious clothing on him. Like a little trophy. Just for show. A way for his caretaker--no.. owner to say "Hey! Look at this shiny new toy I got! Isn't he pretty?" Put in a glass box, a collection, a doll being stored on a shelf.

Every time he has to meet up with the man, Aventurine makes sure that he brings gifts. He doesn't mind buying gifts for clients. It's nothing really. Anything to make [Name]'s life more bearable... but his main concern, his main target is the trophy, the doll, the child, [Name]. And evert time he gave [Name] a gift, it's always met by complete silence and subtle glances directed to his owner. As if asking permission to take it.

"See this? This is a limited type of confectionery that everyone in the galaxy simply adores. There are only sixteen slices sold every day. Here, why don't you have a taste?" Aventurine says, his hand gestures towards a plate of slice cake. A very popular, very delicious dessert. One that he hopes the child would take it. [Name] glances over to his master, as if he's silently asking if he could, which earned him a firm nod. "Go ahead, it's rude to not accept gifts."

After contemplating over it, [Name] took a seat next to Aventurine, his hand reaching out towards the dessert plate, with his other hand the child use the utensil to eat his dessert. It was simply divine. It's no wonder this cake is a favorite of the people in the galaxy. [Name] had never tried anything this wonderful before.

The subtle light in the child's dull eyes make Aventurine smile widens.

Anything to make [Name]'s life more bearable.

But even so, these gifts could only do so much.. he needs a plan. A permanent one. But it seems... he doesn't need to think of that anymore...

The "lifeless doll" had taken care of it.

Aventurine merely stare with widen eyes as the boy stood there in front of all of them with handcuffs on his wrist, the usually clean and tidy suit he wore is now messy with wrinkles and splashes of fresh blood, his neat hair now in shambles as he look at them through his hair strands with dull eyes.

As if what he had done didn't face him one bit.

It was a banquet, a normal banquet, nothing special, another day, another business. The waiters and waitresses handing drinks and foods to every patron. A normal business event.

And yet..

It had end in a massacre.

The trial went on and on. the trial took way too long for comfort, for every evidence and every alibi... the child is proven innocent. It took what felt like an eternity to finally gathered enough proof for him to be proven guilty. And yet..

The IPC showed him mercy. Finding it to be such a shame to lose such an asset. The length this boy went through, not breaking character as he slowly make his plan come into fruition.

This "lifeless doll" isn't as lifeless as he make himself to be.

For someone as young as him.. to be able to make elaborate plans and following it through till the end.. and creating evidence and alibies to prove himself innocent, whether if it's fabricated or not...

He's a mastermind.

And the IPC can't simply let such a valuable asset to simply.. cease to exist.

But that smile soon disappears once he heard the sound of someone entering the room, a man that he's well familiar with. There's no mistaken those eyes. He then approached [Name] before kneeling down in front of him.

At a vacant room, [Name] sat on the edge of the bed looking blankly at the wall in front of him, his gaze sometimes shifted between the wall and his still blood stained hands, along with the handcuffs on his wrists. Still dancing around each other in a love tango, everyone could tell Jack was getting more and more exhausted, from trying to convince you to join some kind of sports team, to stop napping all the time - and spend time with him :( - or to not miss class

And with you being the oaf you are, just turned around and shooed him away

At least once I see Jack trying to drag you out of bed. Ik ik ooc of him but he was tired of being ignored, plus you had classes to do and as your best friend it was his duty to make sure you were taking advantage of the education you were given (and to make sure he kept his promise to your mom to score mom points!)

So he did the only thing he could, brute force

Let’s say it sounded… quite misleading… and Ruggie wouldn't look him in the eye for a while

But back on track, he would try to get you to join a sports team as you have such ‘raw potential (as Vargas puts it) that it would be a disservice to both you and the school if you didn't. 

Plus he was getting kind of sad seeing Vargas so… depressed

Jack swore he saw his muscles deflate 

But eventually, you did join a club!

But mama mia you were thick and ripped. Sure you a little pudge but that only meant you were well fed and he's glad to see his friends so healthy! 🤭

“Why’d you call him?” You were holding the bucket onto your lap as Yoongi was assisting you with the least he can do, which is holding back your hair off of your face. It hurts him to see you this pale and sick, specially that this isn’t your first time binge eating candies until you ended up being hospitalized.

“He needs to know Y/N, he said he’s coming here in no time.” He grabs your hair tighter when you cough again before throwing up into the bucket, tears are already streaming down your face and your tummy hurts. Namjoon’s reaction wasn’t different from any other time, he’s rushing to the hospital after he managed to take an hour leave out of his work to take care of you, and the second he gets into the hospital even the staff recognize him and lead him towards the bed you’re in.

“Hey, there you are.” He rushes towards you and grabs your hair instead, it shatters him to see you like this constantly that he’d do anything to make you feel better. “It’s okay, you’re going to be okay.”

He eases you, knowing that you always panic when this happens, his soft touch on your face and the little rubs he gives to your back can ease the pain in a second, and he’s not even half grossed out when he sees you all pale and sweaty and puking when this happens repeatedly, he finds himself wanting to shower you with kisses and he ends up doing it, and again you swear he kisses the pain away.

Namjoon is the type that gets super worried over you, he wakes up in the middle of his sleep just to make sure you’re breathing, he keeps his eyes locked onto your chest just to watch it rising, a sigh of relief is always followed by that before he goes back to his sleep.

Seokjin’s recent search on his phones is “Remedies to treat Diabetes at home.” When he knows that this is chronic and cannot be treated, but the man hasn’t lost his hope, he secretly visits your doctor without you just to make sure you’re doing good and if there’s anything he can do for you at home just to prevent any complications.

“I got you this.” Your head snaps towards him to see him holding a jar of biscuit butter, being emotional and irritable when you feel low is a common thing, do your eyes burn or are those tears?

 You grab out a spoon before putting it into your mouth, and in seconds you feel yourself recharged. And he’s watching you with a faint smile lingering on his face, he would give you the world if you wanted it.

You roll your eyes and give him your hand, he carefully grabs onto you and pokes the tiny needle into the tip of your finger before dabbing some blood onto the tiny slide. A smirk lies on your face when you memorized what he does all the time, he cleans your finger with a cotton pad before kissing the tip of it and apologizing quietly. “Sorry.”

It takes the device five second to flash the number which is considered totally normal for you, but not normal enough for Yoongi, so he gets up onto his feet and makes his way to the kitchen before rushing back in seconds.

“Here’s some Gatorade and chocolate.” With a stable voice tone he puts the things in front of you and takes his seat back next to you on the couch which makes you giggle and wrap your arms around him, peppering his cheek with little kisses. “Thank you.”

“Stop, I’m okay now.” You whine when comes closer and pretends to be giving you an actual physical examination. “Mhm, looks okay to me, yup.” He moves down to your stomach and tickles you until you’re out of breath laughing and kicking your legs onto the bed. “Nooo please.” You struggle to push him and he finally stops.

“I’m glad you’re doing okay.” He whispers, a soft smile sitting on his lips as he cups your cheeks, he even leans closer to kiss you on the forehead. “And next time we’re showering together.”

“Not at all.” You shake your head, he grabs your finger to wipe away the blood before kissing your hands, “And can I try?”

“Yeah, but please this is different, this is the actual thing that makes you feel better, can I please do it?” He begs, opening his hand again for you to give him the injection, you sigh and roll your eyes before finally handing it to him. “You’ll make your own dinner if you hurt me.”

“I promise I won’t.” His face changes and a large toothy smile sits on his face before he lands on his knees to pull up your night gown and open the needle cap. “Like that?” He pinches some of your flesh between two fingers. “Mhm.” You agree and push his hand a little to the left. “You have to do it fast so it won’t hurt.”

“I lost count to the times I’ve seen you do this baby, I know how it’s done.” He wholeheartedly injects the needle into your skin and you swear you didn’t feel a thing, before he pushes in the medication and takes the needle out. “That was so hot.” You giggle which makes him laugh shyly and kiss your tummy before pulling your night gown down.

Throughout your entire dinner with his friends from work and their wives, his eyes were watching you the whole time and the man knows you like the back of his hand, he can easily tell that your blood sugar is high from the your face is glistening and your hands are shaking, he even looks down underneath the table to see your legs shaking in their spot which makes him certain 100%.

He clears his throat and pulls his chair back. “Y/N baby, come on.” He gets up onto his feet and grabs your purse. “If you excuse us, we’ll be back in a minute.”

You were always a procrastinator and you kept ignoring your symptoms and thought that you’ll be home later and you’ll take your medication then, but Jungkook was the exact opposite, his eyes were onto you the entire time, and mainly because he couldn’t get enough of you, and because he’s worried that you’ll get tired any second.

He pulls your chair for you and you get up onto your feet, excusing yourself away from the table, he wraps an arm around you and walks you towards the restrooms and picks you up to put you onto the sink. “Are you feeling well?” He asks when he knows the answer, he knows you can barely stand onto your feet.

“Not well, but I can make it through the night.” You run your fingers through his hair and tuck some behind his ear. “You can go to your friends, I’ll do it on my own.”

“Of course not.” He opens your purse and prepares the little injection of insulin before taking an alcohol swab out of his wallet. Yeah those were for you and he always had them lying around whether it was in his pocket, wallet or even in his car.

He wipes the back of your arm with the swab before injecting the medication into your skin, you’ve been together for a few years now and he insists on giving you the injection every time, he got so good at it that you don’t feel the needle anymore. “There you go.”

“Thank you.” You lock your eyes onto his, he smiles and leans in to kiss you on the lips. “I don’t know if the diabetes or not but you taste so sweet.”

You pull back from the kiss with a cringe on your face and hit his chest. “That’s not funny.”

😨 What do they each fear? Do the other's know?

First of all, on the outside they all pretend to fear nothing. However, Rouge fears needles and doctors, and they all found out the hard way (I have a fic about that somewhere...)

Shadow wouldn't want to admit it, but he's a bit scared of water. His skates don't work there, and although he can swim he feels more vulnerable. He also fears losing his memories and purpose again. Rouge has worked both of these out, Omega is happy believing Shadow fears nothing.

Omega fears nothing. Obviously. Totally. He does not panic if you ask him what he does with himself when the last Eggman robot is finally destroyed. And the team definitely doesn't know not to bring it up.

🤕 Have they shared with eachother what hurt them the most? How do they care for eachother?

Well, Rouge and Omega are pretty aware of the wringer Shadow's been through. It's a lot of being quiet and present with him when he's experiencing nightmares and flashbacks, and he's not at the Joke About It stage for anything (may never be).

Rouge's worst times are behind her, in her childhood and teenage years. She's never given them a low-down, but with time she sprinkles in little details in jokes. She's only ever going to be in the Joke About It stage, she thinks.

Omega's worst experience was the state they saw him in in '06. He may be blissfully unaware of that likelihood, though.

🏥 How is their health? What do they worry about for eachother?

Shadow worries about Rouge's health, as above she hates doctors. She's generally got a good immune system though, and still recovers from injuries well.

Shadow has a weird health situation, and that disturbs Rouge quite a bit. Sometimes he'll eat something innocuous and be very quickly sick, other times he can eat dirt. He has chronic pain, but he doesn't know any different. A lot of medicines actually make him sick, and he gets migraines when he gets over-chaos'd. He doesn't want her to worry about it, so she pretends she isn't.

For a long time Omega didn't fear anything for his meatbag mates. But then one time they both got sick (Rouge with flu, Shadow post-world saving) and he took his care of them way too seriously, so now he randomly sticks a thermometer-finger in their ears when they look a bit tired. They do not appreciate this.

🗣 What can get them to raise their voices?

It's easy to rile up Rouge. She shouts when she's happy sometimes too. You can get her to shout at you if you walk slowly in front of her - it's more of a big deal when she speaks quietly.

Shadow shouts when he's stressed, he's not usually angry just trying to control something and be heard. When he's really cross he might snip but he'll probably have gotten fighty already.

Omega has one default volume and it is LUCIOUSLY LOUD

☣️ What's each of their top toxic trait/ vice? Is it funny or a problem?

They only have toxic traits.

But to pick a top one for each:

Rouge thinks everythings a game to win. Arguments, missions, life-or-death choices, bringing the shopping in. She can be very petty and manipulative to score a point. And Shadow can be too, because he's competitive. They do get catty, it's not all happy families. Omega is also learning this trait from the two of them as yet another avenue of destruction.

Shadow's most disagreeable trait is that whenever he needs you most, he is so. Damn. Horrible. He is at his most unpleasant when he is grieving, hurt or scared. And they do now know this, so they begrudgingly push through his foulness until they're on the otherside, where he'll resent them for helping him.

Omega's toxic trait is that he... well okay he's my perfect boy he does no wrong. But he has learned to be quite mean. I think Omega does understand humour, and he likes edgy jokes and stuff, but he doesn't have the timing and tone right. He also mis-estimates when is the right time to joke around and be a dick and when is most certainly not, so he often causes trouble when the house is already spicy. Oh, and he's angry.

But, for a twist; each of their best traits as friends:

Rouge will go to any lengths to try to help someone in a way that doesn't seem like she's giving you anything. She does this partly because she's proud, but also because it works much better for Shadow and Omega.

Omega is extremely sincere and very defensive of his friends. He cannot stand slander of them; he accepts and teases their flaws but does not accept other people pointing them out.

Shadow is a very dedicated listener. If he doesn't know much about what problem you're coming to him with, he will research the topic extensively. He also has learned to signpost himself well, e.g.: 'do you want me to listen? Okay I am listening. I have some suggestions, do you want them? Okay, I will give them later. Are you angry with me, or am I here when you're angry? Fine, then I don't mind'. These would be irritating to some, but it's a great way to cut through two quite dramatic friends.
