If the both of you were to collab with one brand together, what would it be
Tumblr media
"We've done a collaborative ad before actually--we ended up delaying the photoshoots since Kurossa was coming to Darkwick and I only had so much time after missions, so we didn't have time for it until about a month ago. Anbiru's turn around time on those edits was impressive as always, so they went up last week."
Tumblr media
"That aside, we'd probably wanna do something for a brand that does cosmetics or something, right? Like skincare stuff, fragrances, moisturizers. . . ."
"I think that would work best for both of us. The brand we worked with before was for bath and shower goods, I think it's going well so far."
"So, what, Dior? Chanel?"
"Overrated. Not that I would say no to them, but isn't that what everybody would strive for? Foreo is probably out of your audience's price range, so it wouldn't make as much sense for us both to work with them; what about TATCHA?"
"TATCHA would be great! I tried their dewy skin cream and it's so good. . . ."
They start to passionately discuss and compare products they've been trying out recently. At some point some of them even come out on the table--all from various expensive luxury brands.
Maybe it's the way they get close to each other, eyes lidded and lips parted in focus, breaths soft and touches practiced, but it feels very intimate. You almost feel like you're third wheeling them.

Busting Common Skincare Myths: What Truly Works and What Doesn't
In the pursuit of radiant and flawless skin, it's easy to get lost in a maze of skincare myths and misconceptions. From homemade remedies to supposed miracle products, the beauty industry can sometimes leave us bewildered. Let's dive into some prevalent skincare myths, setting the record straight on what's effective and what's not.
Myth: The More, the Merrier
Reality: Layering multiple products may seem enticing, but quality trumps quantity. Overloading your skin can lead to irritation and clogged pores. A personalized routine catering to your skin type - including a cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and targeted treatment if necessary - is the way to go.
Myth: Natural Means Safe
Reality: Just because something is labeled "natural" doesn't guarantee it's safe for all skin types. Allergies and reactions can still occur. It's crucial to read labels, patch-test, and consult a dermatologist before incorporating new products.
Myth: Pores Open and Close
Reality: You might have heard that steam opens pores while cold water closes them. In truth, pores lack muscles, so they can't change shape. Steam can temporarily soften debris, but a solid cleansing routine and exfoliation work better for maintaining clear pores.
Myth: Oily Skin Rejects Moisturizers
Reality: Hydration benefits all skin types, including oily ones. Skipping moisturizer can lead to increased oil production. Opt for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to maintain balance without causing breakouts.
Myth: Sunscreen Is for Sunny Days Only
Reality: Sunscreen is a must, no matter the weather. Harmful UV rays are present even on cloudy days and can penetrate windows. Consistent broad-spectrum sunscreen application safeguards your skin from premature aging and damage.
Best sunscreens EVER:
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Body & Face Sunscreen
LIVE TINTED Hueguard Invisible Sunscreen Stick SPF 50
Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Face Sunscreen + Hydrating Serum with Broad Spectrum SPF 60+
Myth: Exfoliating Daily for Perfection
Reality: Exfoliation aids in cell turnover, but excess can cause irritation. 2-3 times a week with a gentle exfoliant is sufficient for a smoother complexion without harming your skin's barrier.
Amazing Facial Exfoliants:
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator Facial Scrub Powder
TULA Skin Care So Poreless Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub
M-61 PowerGlow® Peel- 30 Treatments
Myth: Moisturizers and Oils Aggravate Acne
Reality: Acne-prone skin thrives with hydration. Seek non-comedogenic, oil-free options. Some oils, like jojoba or rosehip, can even regulate sebum and enhance skin appearance.
Moisturizers I personally love:
Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Moisturizer with 5% Vitamin C
e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration!
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream | Body and Face
TATCHA The Dewy Skin Cream
In conclusion, navigating through the world of skincare requires discerning fact from fiction. An informed approach, coupled with a streamlined routine, is the key to glowing skin. When in doubt, a dermatologist's guidance can be invaluable on your skincare journey. Remember, debunking skincare myths is an essential stride towards achieving your skin's best version.

Weekly Round-Up December 18th
What I tried this week
Skincare
Fenty Skin Plush Puddin’ Intensive Recovery Lip Mask - The name of this is too long, this is the short version I promise. The product is unimpressive. It is a very thick mask that smells like aquaphor and is similar in texture. I used the product for a week and noticed none of the promised improvements. I do however think this would work well as a protectant on cold days.
Augustinus Bader The Essence - Maybe my expectations were too high for this product but I was really hoping this would be sort of life changing? I don’t know really. I have a small patch of pores on my chin that are larger and the pores on my nose are also visible. I was hoping this product would make those issues go away. I think part of the issue is that very little product comes out so instead of applying to a round I am starting to poor into my hand so I can see how much is coming out. I am hoping to get better results from this product this way.
Augustinus Bader The Cream - This was also not life-changing for me. This is a good thing since the price tag is a bit higher on this. For now, I will be sticking to Tatcha Dewy Skin Plumping and Hydrating Moisturizer.
Haircare
Ouai Detox Shampoo - I tried this based on a suggestion from a Dyson class. The woman running the class suggested this for those with fine hair. This is a wonderful shampoo. When using this shampoo my hair was full and was super easy to style. This will be added to my weekly routine.
Makeup
ITEM Beauty Boost Juice Dual-Ended Lash Primer and Colored Mascara - I really liked this mascara. The primer worked really well. I love the color. I will absolutely be using this with the Blue About Face eyeliner because I really think it will make it pop.
Ilia Limitless Mascara - All I really remember about this mascara is that the brush hurts when applying. It’s a very rigid plastic brush and it absolutely sucks. Maybe my eyelids are sensitive. I do not recommend it though.
What I received this week -
Snuggle Puppy - I ordered this for my girls. They go absolutely nuts when there is a storm. I am hoping that when it does storm the heartbeat and heat will help them calm down and stay in their bed instead of trying to jump in mine. I will follow up when I use this. I’m really hoping they don’t try to eat it.
What else happened this week -
This week was pretty uneventful to be honest but I like it that way. I was able to spend some quality time with the family. We finished up Wednesday. I think we will try to watch Sandman next. I ordered our Christmas dinner. HEB isn’t doing Christmas dinner this season so I ordered from Cracker Barrel instead. It looks absolutely delicious and we look forward to celebrating.
I continued my new skincare routine and took nightly pictures. I was sent a free product from Lyma, this is the make of the laser I am using. The skincare product sent tends to break people out which I didn’t learn until after I used it and it broke me out as well. I am currently fighting that. I believe I am still seeing positive changes though. I can’t wait to see what my skin looks like in a month.
What happened to y’all this week? Did you try any interesting products? Find anything you love?
See ya after the holiday! Enjoy your loved ones. Have a good week!

I love my Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream as my nighttime moisturizer. Still, they really are out here saying, "Reduce your plastic use from our incredibly wasteful plastic containers by using this new refillable wasteful plastic container that uses refill pods, which are also plastic!"

On Beauty | Bader v Tatcha
As you should know by now, I love a good skincare game, a sucker for it even; they say, a fool and him money soon part, well when it comes to skincare, I am the fool, and it has all my money. I have been using both Augustinus Bader Rich Cream and Tatcha Dewy Cream a while now, and I have a clear favourite. Now, Bader is a game changer and I love the product; I’ve used the essence, one of my…

Dewy Dream: Our Review of TATCHA The Water Cream 🧴
Dry skin woes? Meet your new BFF! Our team recently dipped a toe (or rather, a face) into TATCHA's The Water Cream, and let's just say, it's a hydration hero. Here's our honest review:
Lightweight Luxury: This ain't your grandma's moisturizer. The Water Cream is a dream for those who hate heavy, greasy feeling lotions. It's oil-free, lightweight, and absorbs like a magic potion, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and dewy, not sticky.
Hydration Haven: Parched skin? Say goodbye! This formula is packed with hyaluronic acid and Japanese superfoods like Hadasei-3, delivering deep hydration that lasts all day. No more midday touch-ups – your skin will stay plump and happy.
Pore-tastic Results: Enlarged pores got you down? The Water Cream claims to minimize their appearance, and we have to agree! After using it for a while, our pores seemed less noticeable, leaving our skin looking smoother and more refined.
Botanical Bliss: Forget harsh chemicals! This moisturizer is infused with calming botanicals like Japanese Wild Rose and Japanese Leopard Lily, making it gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. Plus, it smells like a spa day in a bottle – pure bliss!
A Few Things to Consider:
The price tag might raise some eyebrows, but the quality ingredients and luxurious feel might justify it for some. While hydrating, it might not be enough for very dry skin types, especially in harsh climates.
Overall Verdict:
If you're looking for a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer that minimizes pores and leaves your skin feeling like a dream, TATCHA The Water Cream is worth a splurge. Its luxurious formula, gentle ingredients, and impressive results make it a strong contender for your skincare routine.
