Just for fun, Liam Lee Lancer build:

Black Thumb, Technophile, Grease Monkey. Spends most of his battle time outside of his Sherman repairing and reloading and ordering his NHP to spam missiles, grenades, or their beam weapon, "Deconstructive Criticism." This tactic is incredibly hard on pilot, NHP, and mech, so it leads to a lot of melt-downs, verbally and physically.

The NHP is codenamed DIEGESIS (if you had any doubt).

Of course it's RUDE to pilot a mech and not expect the NHP that's infected your Subjectivity-Enhancement Suite to occasionally Cascade and decide to pilot you back...

the thing is, like, imogen is blunt, and indecisive, and impulsive. she's cynical, angry at the world, and seemingly much less interested in doing good than in holding on to her loved ones. she's hypocritical, incredibly violent one moment and horrified at the prospect the next. she's passive aggressive, on occasion. she's overly critical. she's scatterbrained.

and all of that stuff is very fucking fascinating, and so fun to watch, and core to what makes her her. but not only are those things not the totality of imogen as a character, they're very much inextricable from the things that make her sympathetic.

imogen has spent much of the last decade of her life in pain, and isolated because of it. when she wasn't alone she couldn't relax, having to keep tight control over her mind so as to not get overwhelmed or invade the privacy of others. because even through all that pain and loneliness, she still bore the responsibility not to impose on other people's minds. and when she fails or slips up or gives in, all of the distrust and suspicion she recieves regardless is suddenly viewed as justified.

which is not to say imogen is not responsible for her actions, or the harm she causes others. of course she is! no one is saying she isn't! but, just like literally every other person, her actions don't exist in a void but within the context of both her past and present.

analyzing that context and coming up with explanations of her behavior that consider it is not excusing her actions or refusing to acknowledge her flaws. it is not coddling imogen to sympathize with her even when she's fucking up. these are pretty standard ways to discuss a character you enjoy actually! it's weird that having a nuanced perspective on a character's actions is being treated as an issue!

as an angel enjoyer- i do think there is something a little bit uniquely fucked up about him that angelus just brings to the surface. but i also don't think it's THAT fucked up. i think he's just an art student that's extremely kinky and extremely fascinated by other people's suffering. like for all the funny jokes about his brooding, i don't think angel's that invested in his OWN feelings; i think what angel and angelus have in common is this investment in how OTHER people feel, whether it's too cause them pain or alleviate it.

on the other hand i think spike has always been, like, a poet and not a portrait artist. he's more interested in expressing his own feelings rather than capturing someone else's. hence the spike/angel dialogue on ats about how spike was just looking for fun versus angel actively looking to torture people.

idk if any of this makes sense. i'm trying to say that i think the best qualities of angel come from a similar place as the worst of angelus.

I've never spun supported or been able to spin long draw yet on drop spindle or wheel.

I am struggling to attach my leader and to keep him spinning when I have.

I think it may have something to do with how I spin with my left hand towards the wheel with right hand holding the fibre but when I try Liam, I instinctively hold him with my right hand and fibre in left?

season 4 is the best season of teen wolf, not because it has the best plot or characterization or villains, but because one of the conflicts of the season is the struggles of parenting when your son is a neurodivergent teenage werewolf who isn't technically related to you and you've kidnapped like twice

uniquely in the First Splinter Timeline (book canon), i think kathryn would regain all of her lost/hazy memories from all that happens to her in the Q Continuum when she's brought back from death. which, GOOD OR BAD, would allow her to remember those three hyperevolved glory days. :)

(multiple timelines allows me to enjoy playing in both sandboxes of kathryn can/can't remember how the triplets came about haha)

also i think everyone just assumes she'd be fine and well-versed in having a baby but she actually isn't and she's terrified of the whole ordeal and it's way harder than laying eggs haha.
