Since Bassem Youssuf went out and swore in Arabic on Westren television i think it is our duty to show people that Mo Amr bit where he explains Arabic swear words and why they are so much better than English ones.
Tell you what... if the western world is really really nice and does not participate in killing and funding and ignoring Palestinians, maybe we can all sit for tea one day and explain the intricacies of A7a.
In the meantime, hear it from a Palestinian:

Let the poor man rest.
#also no he doesn't want to experience life as a normal person. no he wouldn't sacrifice his powers to live again.#he LOVED being powerful. he was very proud of his powers. he was at the top of the world. what he disliked was being so lonely at the top.#which having reunited with Geto now he is not.#and he wanted to keep the next generation safe due to his past regrets and teach a generation of kids to be at the top together.#and he wanted to get rid of the corrupt higher-ups and reform the Jujutsu society.#and he did all of that. Yuta and Yuuji are both alive and safe and the kids are all reunited with each other stronger than ever#and the higher-ups are d**d.#Gojo obviously wouldn't hate to keep living. he clearly didn't expect to lose and die. but as he himself confirmed#he died doing what he loved. he went out the way he wanted. he went out with a bang. he had the best fight of his life and gave it his all.#as he said 'he had fun'. he said it would have been embarrassing if he died of old age or sickness.#and now that he's gone he's happy with his friends and especially Geto. he found peace.#He said it himself 'Now i'm wishing that it's not just a dream'.#also for those of you who say that Geto & Gojo wouldn't be together because one would go to hell and one to heaven... no. just no.#first of all. Gojo did a mass m*r*** before his death#second of all. they're Buddhists. they don't have heaven and hell. don't bring Abrahamic religions into everything.#and you'd be surprised by the excuses the Abrahamic religions find to not let people in heaven.#probably Gojo wouldn't go to heaven even if he didn't kill the higher-ups due to...idk... occasionaly doing pranks or sth.#but Gege apparently created a whole other afterlife of his own. and Toji Geto Gojo Nanami and everyone were all gathered there together.#you SAW that. so stop.#jujutsu kaisen#jjk#gojo satoru#satoru gojo#jjk gojo#gege akutami#my two cents#satosugu

"A Palestinian family in Tal al-Sultan camp, west of Rafah, decorates its tent in preparation for the month of Ramadan in order to preserve Ramadan customs and bring joy and happiness to the children to alleviate the effects of war." from Belal Khaled, 02/Mar/2024:

started with the headcanon that drift hung around the clinic like a feral wet cat for a while, then halfway through shading these, I started thinking, what if deadlock was an especially reliable assassin because he knew what kind of damage would make sure that even the best of the best couldn't bring you back

"The 4B movement will only work to radicalize more men into the alt-right pipeline." is the most INSANE take I think I've ever seen.
Not because I don't think it has some level of merit. Let's be real, an incel is and incel is an incel. But because why the fuck is it MY RESPONSIBILITY to date someone so that they're not radicalized? If all that stands between a man and fascism is a date with a woman, that man is not a safe person for a woman to be with.

OK correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like the main 'yin/yang' parallel with Atsushi and Akutagawa is not something like 'this one is bad but secretly has a good side and this one is good but secretly has a bad side'.
I feel like it's more about 'who they are at their core vs who they choose to be'.
At his core Akutagawa is kind and at his core Atsushi is not. But despite this Atsushi tries every day to make the kinder choices and I love him so much for it. He has to work so hard to be good.
He wants to be a bitch SO bad I know he does but he tries his best to help people and be nice (sometimes he fails but that's OK <3)
Atsushi doesn't always WANT to help people, a lot of the time he's selfish and scared, but he does help people anyway. He keeps helping people over and over again. There's still some selfish motivation to it, and his initial motivation for helping people was because the headmaster told him that's all he was worth, but overall he does care about the people he helps and it weighs on him if he fails to save them. And of course, as the series goes on he starts helping people more because he can rather than because he feels like he needs to.
In Akutagawa's case, he's still capable of being kind but his environment led him into being someone who chooses to hurt people. But he's always been a protector at heart. In the start he was bad compared to Atsushi because he was choosing to hurt people and keep the cycle of abuse going. Just like how Atsushi developed in why he saved people, Akutagawa starts to get redeemed when he chooses to not just act on his rage. Not only does he start to spare people, but he speaks more kindly to them (apologising to Higuchi and telling Kyouka he's proud of her). It all culminates into the moment he chooses to help Atsushi and sacrifice himself for him, going back to his core value of being a protector. Even when he's finally revived, he keeps this role in his new position as Aya's Knight.
I kind of see the streaks of white in Akutagawa and the streaks of black in Atsushi not as their 'hidden sides' but as their fundamental selfs. That's who they are at their core, and their main colours (black for Akutagawa and white for Atsushi) are how they're presented to everyone else and how they try to have people see them as.

I can't get the idea out of my mind that if the bombing and the siege of Gaza was happening anywhere else in America or Europe, that people would be more affected. That the media would be more honest and outraged on their behalf. That there would be no debates on human life and "appropriate responses" as massacres unfold. That we wouldn't have to keep saying "children are dying children are being buried alive. children children children." as if ... a Palestinian life needs to be proven human first so the people would care.
And that is the bitter truth. We, who speak for Palestine, have a lot of filth we need to work against. Namely, the filth started by Western Media that dehumanizes Palestinians.
So i am doing just that, my first post was about Arabic swear words, told by Mo Amer. And like as we like to say at home, حسن البدايات ( meaning: virtuous/ gracious beginnings), so I have decided that that would the first post of many aiming to show the humanity of Palestinians.
Here is a beautiful poem by Rafeef Ziadah, preformed in London in 2011. Here is a glimpse of the beautiful art of Palestinians:
youtube
And personally, i always wondered how do Palestinians go on? How do they laugh and make friends and fall in love and get married and have children. I remember seeing the wedding of Ahmed Hijazee after the Gaza attack in 2021 and seeing them all happy and building him a home and putting decorations, in the face of the rubble, bombing, and death. In face of it all, they smiled and cheered and ate sweets. I felt bad for wondering "what is the point?" but i couldn't help it. I didn't get it. It felt unreal to have seen the brutality of the bombing and afterwards, still fight.
But they do get it and they teach it to their young.
I am not here to glorify their pain, and i do not mean to say they are exceptionally strong. They shouldn't have to be and they should be allowed to be weak and vulnerable and all the spectrum of the human condition.
But what is more human than to face all those horrors and refuse to resist? For them, living and surviving is their resistance.
They teach life.

this isn't intended as some kind of holier-than-thou virtue masturbation because fuck knows i've been cruel unintentionally and/or reflexively too many times to count, but it is kind of amazing how much more difficult it got to be sincerely, intentionally hateful or mean-spirited when i realised that the rush i got from it was because it made me feel powerful

actually one of the most beautiful things about hacks is that we can be changed by anyone and at any period in our lives. deborah was in her forties when ava was born. she’d lived a life longer than ava’s before ava even existed yet they both have had a profound effect upon each other. it’s never too late. you haven’t met all of the people who are going to change you yet.

Her Astrophel and Sterling
hmmm
Hmmmmmmmm
You know what.
You know those AU's where the Batfam finds or learns about either hidden or thought to be dead Al Ghul Danny! with a deaged/daughter Dani (Ellie) (I should know, I created a few of those storylines) but what if, now hear me out, what if instead of them finding Danny first its Talia.
Do I want Talia discovering her thought to be dead son to be alive? Yes. Do I want her to find him while investigating Amity Park when the League gets reports of 'Lazarus creatures/water'? Yes.
DO I WANT HER TO KNOCK ON THE FENTON'S DOOR, fully ready to pretend/honey talk her way into the house to uncover what the Fenton's know, ONLY TO MEET A LITTLE ELLIE?!
YES.
Ellie whose eyes and hair look like a copy of her Beloved but she can see bits and pieces of herself as well. Talia knows the child in front of her was not fully her's though but everything makes sense when she hears a voice, a voice she hasn't heard in ages but as a mother just knows, speak out.
"Ellie! I thought I said do not answer the door my Sterling."
"But Daddy, yous was busy fighting the hotdoggys!"
Talia's eyes widen when she finally catches sight of familiar black hair and blue eyes.
and she could only lightly whisper a old nickname she hasn't dared uttered in ages, a name she secretly gave her son due to his love of the stars "Astrophel..."
