hellooo i hope youre doing great!!
my names clara my pronouns are she/her and im im here for the matchup hehe id like to request a male character from tbhk 🕺
my sun is in scorpio, and my moon on sagittarius 😨 im an entp 4w5
i have a kinda masculine style but tbh it really depends on tue day i have like 294832 dif styles, but usually just really darker and grungy clothes
im 5'5 w a ginger (dyed lol) wolfcut, rlly big brown eyes and thick eyebrows. im rlly pale tho so i kinda look like a ghost sometimed 💀
i have a real hard time with expressing my feelings so im usually very sarcastic and more of a comical relief person. my love languages are physical touch and gift giving (even tho im touch starved 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫). i talk a lot and love teasing people but rlly i just like making them laugh. i am fascinated by history, drawing, rock music, reading and true crime (i love these spooky things hehe) i love to dance randomly and im typically a really energetic person, but since im a huuuge people pleaser i tend to focus on others more than anything and that causes me to wanna stay by myself for days sometimes.
i hope this was alright and thank you so so much!! 🕺
oh my god. i died, but i saw this and i have to do this for you, Clara 😭😭😭
you seem so nice!!! and yes, this is great
-mod chihiro
Your TBHK matchup is…
Hanako!
Tumblr media
i feel like he would love your personality, probably would act majorly playful around you
^ it’s honestly kind of like just a back and forth with you and him 😭
i would NOT be able to keep up…
he might also attempt to push you away from those people-pleaser habits you have
maybe subtly encouraging and helping you say ‘no’ more often ,, etc etc
he would 100% play with your hair, oddly, i feel wolf cuts make your hair seem bouncier/layered more so it’s buoyant…
since you’re a fan of spooky stuff/true crime, i believe he would be all in your face about his ghost-like features
it makes him feel cool, okay???
at first Hanako tries to scare you, fails
he literally tries every method in the book
his goal (in death) is to make you scared HAHAHA
uh uhhhhhh what else⁉️⁉️⁉️
help
i hope that was okay idk❓❓❓
i haven’t done this in a while haha
tysm for requesting 💞

China, ivy, nutmeg,. Aloe vera
chia ⇢ what’s an inside joke you have with someone else?
One that came about with my college roommate/her boyfriend that still sticks in my vocabulary is just saying “emergency” to minorly stressful things. Her boyfriend was showering in our bathroom and the shower curtain fell and the only thing he could think to yell in the moment was “EMERGENCY” and we all thought this poor boy broke something cause he sounded so panicked and we had only heard the clatter of the curtain rod skdkdjdj
ivy ⇢ what are your ‘tells’ for your emotions and moods? how can someone tell you’re happy, annoyed, upset or tired?
For better or worse my emotions are usually plain as day unless I’m trying to hide them. I’m someone who puts my whole energy into the mood I’m in so voice/tone/movement all shows that. When I’m trying not to show an emotion usually silence comes along with any negative emotion since I tend to shut down if I’m upset. N much to my dismay Sol has figured out that I tend to say the exact same things in the exact same tone whenever I try to deny being sleepy
aloe vera ⇢ what’s something (mundane) you really want to experience in life?
Coming home to flowers, a meal, and my loved ones. I do enjoy living alone for now but the prospect of coming home to more than chores around my apartment and silence (outside of my very vocal cats) just fills me with so much happiness
nutmeg ⇢ how’s your room/home decorated? do you have a specific theme or style going on?
It’s very all over but I’m working towards a consistent theme/style. For the most part it’s a lot of cozy pastel cottagecore-y decor. When I moved out on my own I kinda just picked whatever I like, and as someone who likes things in super varied styles it’s been an effort to make stuff cohesive but I’d love to add more darker elements in (outside of when EVERYTHING goes from cottage to spooky when the Halloween decor comes out)

I think one weird point is your analysis is when you cite other eras and cultures having jumbled mythology stories and then say humans are cheesy…. Perhaps humans are diverse and there has been and will be a minority(?) population who are not cheesy and who are tired of ALL that shit. If I were in Ancient Rome I would be bitterly complaining about the fake histories and lack of interest in the exact cut and dry truth and what it tells us instead of entertaining (and obscuring) fictions. Especially when those fictions were being taken as history by many and tended to teach specific ideologies that weren’t even been seen as being driven in by those story-vehicles. I have always hated and will always be tired of cheese. Don’t feel like it’s the position of a lesser mind who needs to change it’s just a different feeling.
This is a fair observation. I get the exhaustion with motifs and devices that feel contrived or played out. This was my experience of mid-2000s “edgy” works like Battlestar Galáctica or Heroes. These are definitely two shows that had me grinding my teeth by their third seasons because I felt like what I was given wasn’t what I signed up for. What I enjoyed at the beginning felt increasingly distant.
I’ve also been incredibly annoyed by certain aspects of how Disney Plus has handled action sequences featuring “minion” type enemies in Star Wars and the way that beskar seems to magnetically attract blaster bolts. It has often felt like a rail shooter on trivial difficulty spliced onto a mostly interesting plot.
So I get it. I wouldn’t be as interested in the weeds of world building if I didn’t think there was something rich to be gained from taking this stuff seriously. I keep referencing “The Drumhead” a lot because I think it really shows what Trek is capable of when it pushes itself. Yet that’s also not all Star Trek is. It mixes and matches itself with a lot of other genres and frequently the outcome is a very Whovian loose approach to continuity and a fair bit of mirth.
Part of looking at Trek as a sort of modern oral storytelling tradition is my own way of accepting the artificiality of it. Trek has been a very meaningful part of my life from my earliest memories and I’m not without some very strong opinions about what is and isn’t “good” Star Trek, they just happen to be more oriented towards themes and the setting’s moral assumptions than whether the fan service is over the top or there are obvious continuity errors or oversights. I recognize these things but I don’t experience them as particularly irksome. Usually.
While I love many properties that take themselves deadly seriously, The Expanse for instance, I just realize it’s only one storytelling style that Trek engages with. After spending many a year griping about canon on Spacebattles and Stardestroyer.net, I got to a place where I found no joy in the hot take. I still love a well crafted head canon to “fix” a blunder, but now I take a look at continuity violations and cheese and ask myself whether it serves a purpose or if there was a better, more consistent and less cringe way to go about things.
Having said that, if I’m not mistaken my next rewatch is what I consider to be the worst episode of Picard season one, maybe the whole series. So I have limits although I make it a point of pride to hold my opinions loosely. I want to reevaluate Picard because I suspect and have found much that appeals to the serious, contemplative fan in me that I think is tragically and frequently lost in the fandom civil wars.
But if I have failed to make it clear, I think Star Trek belongs to both the Memory Alpha contributors and the people who unironically like the Abrams films. I have no beef with serious fans who prefer the crunchy side of sci-fi as long as we can have a mutual understanding that this setting contains multitudes and there’s a very important line between rendering critique of an entertainment property and treating each other unkindly for liking different thing.
When I tease the archetype of the reactionary fan or the person who too literally wants it to be a documentary of the future, this is really directed at a type of person who is not reflective about their own preferences and feels the need to be abusive to other fans or otherwise tend to get rather hyperbolic beyond any sense of proportionality. If that doesn’t sound like you, then we are part of the same rowdy team.

If you'd never seriously practiced art, how would you go about learning the basics? What would you prioritize?
i think the first, most important thing to consider when getting into art actually has nothing to do with the technical stuff/foundations/etc (that stuff is all still important, and i'll get to it in a second). instead i think the most valuable thing to think about first is: why are you interested in learning? what kind of stuff inspires you? what kind of stuff are you hoping to make, what kind of stuff would be exciting and fun to make?
when people get into art really early, like the "i've been drawing as long as i can hold a pencil" types, those questions are already kind of instinctively answered. something like pokemon or clamp manga or certain movies/tv shows or comics you found at the library or things you saw in a museum lit you up and you started chasing that stuff, trying to create those feelings by yourself, and eventually later i think almost every one of us then has to dig those memories up after survival under capitalism beats that inspiration nearly to death and buries it under a million metric tons of absolute bullshit. i think one of the benefits of starting an art journey later is rather than the usual Got It, Lost It, Gotta Find It Again cycle, you have a chance to think about this stuff very consciously + deliberately, and start with those thoughts abt hopes + inspiration very clearly in hand, and i think that can make it a lot easier to decide what to prioritize -- bc the answer to "what would you prioritize" is i think a lot of that varies immensely based on every individual artist and what they want to do.
once you know what inspires and excites you, fucking devour it. find as much as you can. watch and read and study. once you've watched and read and studied a bunch of [X thing that inspires you], go google stuff like "media like [X thing] reddit" or whatever to find more stuff that's similar to it. whenever an image grabs you, ask yourself why. study it. trace it, copy it (copying and tracing are acceptable, valuable study tools! they just have to stay in your private practice stash, it's only a problem when u post traced studies and try to claim ownership of it. tracing from personally taken photos/3D models for backgrounds etc is also a great tool that professionals use all the time, but that's a dif subject so i'm not gonna clutter this answer up talking abt it). look at the art you like really really really fucking hard and ask yourself what you like about it, specifically. the more you do this, the more you'll start building an internal visual library of details and traits you really enjoy, and that library is an invaluable thing to draw from. it is always worth it to keep working on that library. (and, as an aside, whenever you hit a wall with drawing, where you don't know what to do next or you just feel like you're not improving or it's stopped being fun and you hate everything you draw? going back and working on the library again is a great thing to do.)
start sorting your inspiration into two different categories. do you actually want to draw this way, or do you just like looking at it? (my own personal example of this: i love LOOKING at very cluttered, gritty, hyper-detailed urban landscapes, like the ones in dorohedoro or tekkonkinkreet -- but i do not have ANY fun drawing things like that at all. i find it boring and unpleasant, no matter how cool and satisfying the end result would be. realizing there's a difference felt like a big breakthrough to me and clarified that not all art you admire is necessarily art you want to emulate.) find what it is about stuff u like looking at but not drawing that you can still try to find enjoyment in. (in my example, what i was actually drawn to about that style was the environmental worldbuilding it creates -- i can still do that in my art style in different ways!)
NOW, after all that, i'll talk a little about the technical exercises and foundations i think are helpful for starting out. i think everything i said before this is ten million times more important. there are artists out there who probably never do any of the foundational stuff and they're still making completely sick, out of this world shit, bc they know what they want to do and they're authentically following their voice. BUT, this just happens to be stuff that helps me make the stuff i want to, which is really the point of honing the technical aspect of drawing at all: technical improvement (i.e. being "good at drawing") is, for me, a way to help me communicate my ideas. trying to improve technical skill should always be in service of your ideas and your desires for your art, because your ideas are the point. getting stuff out of your brain and into an image that communicates what you want to communicate is the point. whether or not you're "good at drawing" is an accessory to that and should never be considered a major obstacle or a reason to quit.
- gestural figure drawing: i use this site, especially the class mode. there is a LOT to say about figure drawing and gesture drawing and it would prob be faster and easier for u to google it and do some reading on ur own than for me to try to type a bunch of stuff out myself, but i'll say that for me the main benefits of figure drawing are building speed, building confidence (in both anatomy knowledge + in your hand movements), learning to quickly identify what the most important/interesting parts of a pose are, and filling that visual library i was talking about before with info on how bodies move and connect, how to stylize + simplify body parts and poses, etc.
- semi related, using reference. here's an ask where i talk a little bit about how i find and use reference. using reference can feel boring, or it can be a little more demoralizing than trying to draw without it (because the image is Right There and you can see all the ways your attempt falls short... sometimes that bums me out lmfao), but the cool thing abt ref is the more you use it, the more you start feeling confident about riffing with it and just using it as a jumping off point instead of trying to stay very loyal to the original, so it gets easier and easier with time. please try using reference! it can make things more fun in the long run, i promise.
- getting to know your materials: for digital work, this means learning keyboard shortcuts (and setting new keyboard shortcuts for actions/tools you use frequently), playing with all your brushes, etc. the more comfortable you get, the more easily you can work and the more time you can spend actually figuring out how you like to draw (instead of grappling with software that makes you feel kind of pissed off and overwhelmed). for traditional work, that means playing around in ways that might feel kind of boring, but will serve u in the long run. fill pages of sketchbooks with random marks to discover the range of specific tools. draw a circle again and again and again without lifting your pencil from the paper, trying to keep it on the same line as much as possible. make gradiant scales where you shade a long rectangle from dark to light as smoothly as you can. stuff like that! gain confidence in your hand and learn what it feels like to make certain marks -- i wish i could explain more what i mean by that, but i think you'll start understanding as you feel it.
- studies: again, there's so much out there on studies (master studies, photo studies, etc) and a trip around google is probably the fastest way to get into it; but basically, this is a structured way of doing the "interrogate everything you like and find out WHY" thing i talked about before. a study can really be anything; the point is you're picking a thing apart and trying to find out why it works, bc then you can apply that to your own stuff. here are some examples of composition studies i've done, as an example of something slightly different: 1, 2
- thinking of art as problem solving: okay, so this isn't a technical skill, but imo it's still a foundational one. this is also heavily influenced by my background in illustration (rather than fine art, etc) so grain of salt based on what specifically you want to do, but i think it still applies. as i mentioned before, art is (almost always) communication. you're trying to make sure the images you're making communicate your ideas and that your audience is more or less picking up what you're putting down. this is where people start confusing "struggles with technical skills" as being the same thing as "bad at drawing" when that's really not true. it will really, really help -- both with actually getting drawings done and with keeping morale up -- to approach a frustrating or challenging drawing not with the attitude of "i just can't draw this, i'm not good enough," but instead with the attitude of "okay. i can't solve this problem with my current skills. what's another way i can draw this that will still get my point across, but is within my ability right now?" when you can approach making art not as "it just plops out onto the page and it's either going to be Good or Bad and there's not much i can do about it," but as "i have something i'm trying to get done here, and maybe i'll have to try it a few different ways before something works," i think it opens up a lot more opportunities to succeed at what you're doing. It's more fun that way and i think it helps create understanding of how to replicate stuff that you're happy with and avoid experiences w art that frustrate you and wear you down.
those are, in my opinion, the basics! this is so fucking long! oh my god! sorry for being so longwinded and thank u for reading, i hope this stuff is helpful!

The Bubble: hot mess, a bit incoherent at points, dragged on
Triple Frontier: It's your dad's circle jerk style "relive our glory days but not really" vet movie, it's what you put on for all the dads and uncles after thanksgiving dinner and football. and the only reason it stays on with little complaint is because all the main characters are hot
WW84: don't take it too seriously, it took itself too seriously and suffered for it. one of the lettrbox reviews was basically "Pedro thinks he's in a dif movie, and idk if it's better or worse, but it is def funnier." and yeah, cause he leaned into the campiness of it
GC: A lot of problems, and not just the out of left field feeling of the Whiskey reveal.
the first one was "eccentric billionaire thinks population control is an urgent and necessary concern, gives out sim card that make phone's produce a frequency that causes extreme aggression and decreased inhibitions."
It's outlandish, but sounds vaguely plausible because we do know there are frequencies that we cannot consciously perceive that make us feel things (usually fear)
and over population has been a back of the mind concern since about the late 70s early 80s. cause all the boomers were old enough to have kids and the birthing trend was regularly multiple kids per family and infant mortality rates shot down very suddenly and blah, blah, blah....
GC's plot is "Drug cartel kingpin poisons their supply and holds all of their customers to ransom." now... this plan is stupid, not just in general, but in the world of kingsmen itself.
because the Valentine plan did work for about prob 20 in world minutes, considering how much of the bathroom door Eggsy's mom had gotten through by the time the whole thing was over
the world population has already been shot, now you're gonna do it again? and with your customers? huh?
also... illicit substances being poisoned to punish the people partaking in them has been done before... like actually in the real world done before.
during prohibition in the US cops and people who wanted to "clean up the neighborhood" would poison liquor before putting out on the market. with the justification being, "If they're gonna break the law, they may as well suffer some consequences." not seeming to comprehend that the crime and the punishment were extremely unequal.
Also, Kingsmen didn't have any scenes where it cut to the president openly stating he's on board with the idea of a mass culling, but GC had a few... and the only reason they didn't make him look and sound like nixon was because that rotten turnip was in office
what im saying is GC is a very bad movie and one i have a lot of issues with it on a narritive and moral level
All points above, agree. Like, the bubble was just… bad, and maybe a little tone deaf vis a vis timing but it wasn’t actively malicious (that I remember). Triple Frontier was exactly as stated above; I still hold out that it had potential that simply was not reached, but yeah. WW84 also had potential but unfortunately it was also not good but also also had some. Weird racism & pro-Israel propaganda. But yeah re: TGC I fully agree & I don’t have anything to add other than: people poisoned/cut their alcohol during prohibition with methanol, which is toxic. Also, do not forget that the war on drugs was 100% caused by the US government, and double also it’s the fed’s fault crack is a problem, and TRIPLE also the reason fentanyl is a problem right now is ALSO because of the feds. Anyway

YAAAYYYY!!!! requests are open!!! one i love your writing and your style is super awesome, and second can you do a part two of the alt s/o with bokuto, kageyama, kuroo, and kenma bc the hcs you wrote were amazing i understand if you cant :)) THANKS FOR WRITING ANY HC IN THE FIRST PLACE 💜💜💜 (i copied and pasted it :))
bokuto, kageyama, kuroo, and kenma with an alternative s/o
bokuto:
holy shit this man thinks u are SO cool
he starts off by complimenting your piercings and dyed hair
you eventually fall for him bc…. how could you not 🤚🏽🤚🏽
whenever he has to redye his hair, he lets you do it 🤩🤩
UGH this king lets you polish his nails
he actually enjoys it too cause he thinks it’s a fun way to express himself
loves loves lovessss how open minded you are
you two just radiate good vibes together :)))
kageyama:
doesn’t know ur alt at first
he just thinks u have a lot of piercings n stuff when he sees u at school
but one time he saw u on the way to practice on a saturday
and he makes the connection bc ur outfit was bomb asf😈😈😈
you two ended up talking bc you got paired up for a project
and he catches feelings bc ur exactly what he needs… someone with an open and understanding mind who also respects his passion for volleyball
you buy him a lot of pins and shit to put on his bags
doesn’t really change up his style after dating you bc he IS an athlete
HOWEVER… you sometimes go shopping together and pick out a lot of “dark” clothes for him which he wears every once in a blue moon but boyyyy does he look good when he does
kuroo:
i mean… he thinks ur HOT
but wouldn’t dare approach you bc you just look… so intimidating and cool
but he eventually builds up the courage and you two hit it off immediately
tbh he thought alt was just a style but then you explained to him that it’s so much more than that and he’s amazed
he becomes even MORE open minded after dating you
he’s a fan of black eyeliner…. guyliner king !
his style becomes a lot “edgier”
he never cared what anyone thought about him to begin with so you two just FIT together ykyk
kenma:
doesn’t realize he has a crush on you until you complimented his hair
cause he was blushing like crazyyyy
yaku helped you two get together😌😌
kenma’s really used to alt ppl cause he’s encountered all dif kinds of people through video games
you try to convince him to get piercings but like ,,, poor boy doesn’t like to stick out yknow¿ so face piercings were a big no no for him
but you convinced him to get his ears pierced cause i mean… his hair usually covers them anyways lol
you two sometimes get into REALLY deep conversations late at night
but it just makes you fall in love w him even more cause this boy is so woke :))) wbk tho🙊

my take on yueki's personalities
yue
notes / personality
cocky (but also like understated confidence - r e g a l af)
kind of a nerd
maybe a little entitled, and a little bratty and suki loves to indulge her or to rile her up depending on her mood
books
seems soft but made of steel
strong sense of duty
socially intelligent - can be manipulative and suki (the dork) thinks it is so hot
aloof queen bee typa beat
supportive, both in ur day to day and in going after your big moral life goals
deep water - steady and powerful, often underestimated
untold depths, private yet surprisingly nurturing - master of deflecting away from herself
political nerd - well read, and when she has someone she trusts not to take advantage of her, she goes OFF
distrusting of most people, has been used and ignored and underestimated her whole life
patient - homegirl knows how to play the long game
excellent at pai sho / chess
she and suki have epic battles of wits - dif types of strategy but both are really into it and get a little too competitive (multiple board games have had to be replaced over the years)
loves travel bc wasn’t allowed to much, esp when she was sick
was super repressed growing up - never let her be herself or really have any sort of independence
used to sneak out and wander around in rebellion and casually sabotage plans and decisions she didn’t agree with
introverted, many opinions but keeps them to herself, discreet but well spoken
weaponizes secrets and information - doesn’t often use it but...she could
definitlyyyyy worries and overthinks and re-evaluates - worries ab social politics a lot
obsessive about picking things - wants it to be perfect
shes growing into her confidence as a leader
prefers quite intimate places
incredibly romantic
classic lit
planner for the future - visionary
kind / sweet / gentle - yes, but that’s also her “front” to a degree (seriously, i feel like she gets painted as so sweet and submissive and one dimensional by the fandom a lot of times and it freakin kills me)
INFJ-T (The Advocate) ((yes this is from 16p which i know is not super accurate but u can still catch her overall vibes from it ya know)
Creative/insightful/principled/compassionate/altruistic
sensitive/reluctant to open up/perfectionist/prone to burnout/not a fan of the ordinary
friendships / relationships
(<> indicates that they’re one of her best friends)
sokka - puppy love crushes, laugh ab it now, get into deep late night talks about responsibilities and leading, water tribe culture, prank wars (no one believes sokka when he says yue is a mean prank master (expect suki comes to see it in action lol))
katara - <> badass women friendship, totally would go to matches and protests together, tough girl shit, waterbending practice/duels - start of cautious, but then get rough in a good way bc they trust each other, they do water tribe food adventures together
toph - indulges her chaos, bonding over stupid royal upbringings, odd yet weirdly endearing pair
zuko - both sort of standoffish gay royals, but once they come to see that they are friends - take up similar spaces though, so only hang out in a group or rarely by themselves, they do hang out at like political parties and stuff when they get more comfortable together
aang - <> he has an impressive world view, yue is super studied and well read, so she and aang nerd out over past cultures together, and also their peace keeping nature, they have tea together often - usually after she and katara wipe the floor w/ each other
clothing / aesthetic:
blues and pale colors
classy and understated wealth
like those cute feminine button down shirts
dresses
like cold weather classy
complicated braids
sort of soft girl aesthetic?
pleated skirts !!!
i feel like she would wear ethically sourced fur (i don’t wear fur but idk how to get it in an ethical way - maybe it’s just fake??)
knit sweaters and skinny jeans and heeled ankle boots
light academia !!!
hella funky earrings - to mark her native pride and also cuz gay
from my readings, tattoos have a lot of cultural significance for Inuit women, and so i feel like yue would totally have some (when she comes of age ofc)
suki
notes / personality
extroverted
also very strategic
more spontaneous tho - will totally calculate the odds in a spilt second in her head and then just go for it
like still a careful planner, but willing to say fuck it, yolo if it seems right
reflects on her mistakes, but more in like a healthy way - unless it was a leadership mistake, then it eats her up inside - worries more ab keeping her girls safe and making the right call
likes lively places
total bashful romantic
manages the present and the short term - realist
loves to do lists
a little punch happy - loves to make violent threats, but also does it out of excitement and she’s just a really physical person tbh
steady, can come off as stubborn and abrasive but she really just wants what’s best for everyone she loves
harsh on herself and worries about her girls a lot
always ends up in the oddest situations
totally would kick someone’s ass for being racist/sexist/homophobic/etc
dedicated to her training and her regime
not a great cook, but she can manage
would drink monsters
has a weird relationship with femininity - took her awhile to reconcile strength and toughness and being assertive and aggressive with also wanting to feel pretty and feminine and embracing being a girl and how those things can coincide and amplify each other
abandonment issues - parents absent/dead
was imprisoned - obvi she had several almost successful escape attempts, but she got really close to breaking
was incredibly independent really early, grew up really fast and tries to make up for that now by sometimes being reckless
tough/assertive/woman of action
dry sense of humor/sarcastic - not good at nickname/pun humor tho
practical/dedicated/strong-willed/direct/honest/reliable/loyal/patient
stubborn/judgmental/difficult to relax/difficulty expressing emotions/too selfless
friendships / relationships
(<> indicates that they’re one of her best friends)
sokka - <>  man they’re like platonic soulmates - she beat him up, and now they spar all the time, totally funny and crack jokes all the time, go skating together, they do shitty art together, and then show their lovers after zuko and yue come back from their high society mixers, broke her out of prison, m/f friendship !!!
katara - also sparring buddies (suki will throw down at any literally moment (and tbh so will katara)), not close but will hang in a group - go to each other for advice
toph - <> listen these two wreak havoc together, they help each other out a lot, i feel like they’re shopping buddies (similar enough style to frequent the same shops) toph knows suki won’t judge her for wanting to feel pretty and suki knows toph will be honest, they are both blunt sarcastic assholes and get along like a house on fire
zuko - <> shows zuko how to like,,,enjoy things (and how to let go of some of that pressure to be always right and the adult and in charge bc they were raised with so much responsibility on their shoulders even tho they were just kids)? she is also super protective of him (once she trusts him), one of the only ppl who can match suki fully in hand to hand combat, both do the Disappointed Parent Look when the group falls into chaos, but by themselves, the two of them end up in hijinks
aang- suki enjoys his optimism and they’re just chill bros, they love exploring abandoned placed together
clothing / aesthetic
sporty and skater mixed
ripped jeans, crewnecks, vans
green and yellow and dark red
gym clothes/athleisure - lifting style gym clothes - cut off t-shirts and bike shorts
skirts too, likes to play into femininity
she’s a gold jewelry kinda girl - but stuff that won’t hinder her movements
necklaces that end in the hollow of her throat & occasionally rings
definitely cuffs all of her jeans (it’s just bisexual culture ya know)
so many crop tops - some came like that, some were more of a diy project
yueki’s relationship!!!
nerd/jock solidarity
feel the burden of responsibility and the weight on their shoulders
they create a safe space between them, full of trust and warmth and vulnerability
yue will read suki sappy passages from poetry books while suki polishes her fans
they slow dance in the kitchen a lot
they get good at ordering takeout - and they have some weird decision making process that only they understand - bc neither of them are great cooks
yue would feel jealous of suki and sokka, if it weren’t for how stupid in love sokka was with zuko and yue can see that suki really only has eyes for her
yue is taller than suki and it amuses her to no end to pick suki up and carry her away from a fight (we all know suki could get away if she wanted to, but when ur hot tall sexy gf throws u over her shoulder,,,,,,u don’t complain)
joke they’ve adopted kataang and zukka, bc they’re all dummies, but in reality every last one of them is stupid LMAO
they love to do each other’s hair and it’s like super intimate and really cute
sometimes it’s these epic elaborate hairstyles and then at other times, they try to see how many ponytails they can fit on suki’s head and how many little braid yue can do
they travel EVERYWHERE
since yue is royalty and suki is her body guard,,,, well i mean, they totally have to see these kingdoms they are doing trade deals with in person
it helps that they're friends with a lot of them
they stay over in everything from camping so they can stargaze to ritzy hotels with hot tubs in the bathroom
yue gives suki rocks she finds on all their travels and suki lines them up on their mantle around the pictures of them in increasingly weird locations
suki loves guarding yue’s meetings bc she gets to watch her absolutely rip a new one into misogynistic old men and it never fails to bring her joy
While yue doesn’t love getting attacked, the ruthless efficiency suki defends her with is like,,,,,stupid attractive

dif annon!! god i love frosta in ASGNE
oh hey the space bar is working in the askbox again i can reply now!
so i love frosta but she is very difficult to work into most catradora aus due to the age-gap between them (which i believe is 7 years ish?? she’s 11ish at the start? and catradora are 18). that’s why the two aus of mine she has appeared in are when they are aged up a bit.
in ASGNE, Catra is recently 26, Adora is 25 approaching 26, and Glimmer is about to turn 24 (and in fact will do so probably in like chapter 5 or 6). Adora and Catra were separated when they were about 15 and 1/2 years old, hence them referring to it as a decade/ten years.
Frosta is 19 (and a half). She has been working for Adora for about four years (emancipated at 15). Frosta is a little wild in canon, as you would expect a child her age with trauma to be. in ASGNE, she was always really boisterous, but became a child with a serious attitude and authority problem after her parents died and she was thrust into the system. She didn’t hang out with a good crowd, with led to a few months in juvie, after which Adora met her while raising funds for the state home she was sent to afterwards.
Adora was in absolutely no position to adopt her (she was only 21 herself), but she couldn’t leave her either, hence the emancipation, hiring her as a PA, and taking a sister-like role. Funny enough, the second Frosta was in an environment where no one was trying to control her anymore, she did fine. She still had a problem with authority, but Adora wasn’t trying to exercise it over her, at least not in a way that wasn’t part of her job like “Do this thing for me”. That was fine to Frosta because Adora was paying her to do it and not being like “I’m an adult you barely know, now do what I say just because I said so”. Being ordered around after she lost her parents, who were always very nurturing, is what turned her into a “bad kid”.
Frosta is a bit moody and acts more indifferent than she actually is to people, but she is indifferent to the world and its rules. She has no interest in going to college or settling into a “career” or anything else the world tells her to do. She fully intends to keep working for Adora for the foreseeable future, perhaps drifting off to another interesting opportunity if it comes to her, but she likes basically being able to fuck around the city all day while Adora is working and then settling into her apartment to game online for the evenings when Adora doesn’t have anywhere to go. Frosta also really likes driving around the streets in NYC, because she has some aggression issues she can vent through her driving style (aka the driving style you have to use to survive in NY).
She has yet to do it in the fic, but she asks for a night off from Adora occasionally to go out and do her own shit in the city. She can usually do whatever tf she likes during the day while Adora is at work, but sometimes she wants to go to a show or some event that is happening in the evening. Unless Adora has a conflicting event, she always gives the time to Frosta. Frosta has a really cushy job, especially for someone her age with no direction, but it requires her to be “on call” a lot of the time, even if Adora doesn’t usually ask much of her. Those evenings off are guaranteed time when she can do something for herself.

Translator anon again. The line changes are prob due to dif translators, as you suspected. Usually one translator does a whole show, but when there are time constraints and shit needs to get done on tight deadlines you can have up to four people working on a single show, and you know, people's translation style clash, and other than sharing a glossary there's not really much contact. The revisor (if there's just one - usually yes) will try to keep a more coherent line running thru every ep, but sometimes deadlines are so tight there's not much time to review it properly. A lot of the stuff you and other peeps have been talking about on NF subs (the cultural omissions and such) seem to be more a US problem, as in, how the American industry does things as opposed to the rest of the world. It may be because there's not really a tradition of subtitling there so they're afraid the public will drop stuff if it's too 'foreign'. Where I'm at, in Europe, I'm in one of the countries that never dubbed foreign media, we've had subtlts since like foreign movies started showing here, and all our TV is subtitled except kids shows, so people are a lot more tolerant of foreign words and since the 90s there's been a more inclusive approach to translation, as in now you stop trying to naturalize foreign words (the foreign versus naturalize is a v. big debate in translation) and it seems to me the US is still behind the curve on that, because foreign media is not as mainstream as it is elsewhere. But yeah, Netflix is the worst.
I agree that a major factor is that americans mostly only watch american media and netflix is trying to make everything as un foreign as possible for them, like they approach kdrama subs from the view that someone who has never watched a kdrama before has just clicked on this show randomly and if you throw too much unfamiliar information at them they’ll just turn it off which is true probably a lot of ppl might....that viewer gets prioritized bc there are WAY more of them than people like all of us who actively seek out kdramas as a hobby and are going to watch them whether they’re on netflix or not, usually understand basic korean and invested in deep analyzing every little thing like netflix is not interested in catering to us at this point bc we are the minority and our standards are crazy high.
i do think that there is a steady increase in americans watching non english content especially if u think about how fucking hard it was to watch kdramas like 10 years it’s SO easy now so one day we’ll be at the level of like literally every other country with the normalcy of subtitles and the average viewer might have higher expectations bc of more frequent exposure wishful thinking lmao but yeah the point is i don’t think netflix is gonna change their style anytime soon despite community complaints they don’t care about us lol

misukazu 21
(if you saw me fuck up the other one no you didnt)
EDIT I THINK THIS ONE GOT A LITTLE FUCKED UP TOO BUT IT’S... READABLE...
questions from this post, and answers originally written for this thread!!
If you had to change the pairing’s very first meeting, how would you change it?    their canon first meeting is already so good SHDGFLJASHG but if i had to choose a different one that's still within the context of mankai... meeting as kids and losing touch and coming back together completely different at mankai
What song fits your pairing the most?    uhhHHhhHHH i don't have a real answer but i do have a partial playlist for one of my misukazu aus and the only two songs in it are furaregai girl by sayuri and champagne's for celebrating by mayday parade and i feel like that says enough sldhgalsdhfalsh
What is your favorite AU/prompt idea/trope for your pairing?     ALL MISUKAZU AUS ARE GOOD but. i really love any au where their first meeting is in the future and both are still kind of lost but they're Older and it's hard to let themselves fall into the easy trust they find in canon. i just think that'd be neat.
Do you prefer canon ideas or do you have your own headcanons for them?     I'VE SAID THIS MANY TIMES BUT CANON MISUKAZU GIVES OFF MADE FOR EACH OTHER VIBES AND USUALLY I DON'T VIBE WITH THAT BUT THEY REALLY ARE WHAT THE OTHER NEEDS... AND I THINK EVEN IF THEY HAD TO PART THEY'D STILL BE ABLE TO BE BETTER PEOPLE BC THEY HAD MET
Favorite canon moment of them?     THERE ARE SO MANY but the one that immediately comes to mind is misumi carrying drunk kazu to bed (latest bday line) because drunk kazu is so soft and it implies that misumi wanted to wish happy birthday to kazu pretty late... what did he want to give him...
Least favorite canon moment of them?     hmm... there's not really one i can think of??? IM SORRY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY I LOVE ALL THEIR CANON MOMENTS
Favorite headcanon trope/idea? (Your own or someone else’s)    this is somehow both vague and very specific but i think misukazu gives off this vibe: He's beautiful. I can't tell him. or "Kazu is always beautiful~" Don't call me that, Kazu thinks. I'm not. so... insecurities i guess ????? AJSHAJJD
Favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics?     THIS IS GOING TO SOUND SO CHEESY but i love how /real/ they allow themselves to be around each other. misukazu at their best is when one thinks "you're you. and i love that you" and the other knows this. i just. THEY VALIDATE THE OTHER SO MUCH CRIES
Least favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics? (Can be headcannon)     this isn't a "least fav" so much as "it makes me sad" but if either of them showed any sign of not being interested anymore the other is more likely to give up then push anything. sort of like "it was bound to happen, so i'll enjoy now until they drop me" or EVEN WORSE they think the other would be better off without them and pushes them away. so yeah the fact i can see one of these happening makes me sad.
If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?     they give off "everyone knows we're dating but us" energy but at the same time i feel like they'd acknowledge there's something and just not define it bc a) they don't need to (misumi) or b) they're too nervous to (kazu). in other words i think one day they are holding hands and misumi says "kazu? is this dating?" and kazu holds his breath before asking "do you want it to be?"
If you had to take them and plunk them into another fandom, what fandom would that be? Why?     i think theyd be hilarious in any sports animanga (kazu is manager tho bc noodle arms but maybe they bond when misumi walks him through some of his usual training menu one night - ahem. anyway) BUT ALSO horimiya au...
How hard is it write/draw your pairing? Scale of 1-10.     AJDHAJDHSF I REALLY LOVE THEM SO IT COMES PRETTY EASILY... but sometimes you try to put them in tropes and realize they would Just Not Work Like That. idk where i'm going with this. but yeah. anyway 3 for sankaku.
Is there a pairing that you think rivals them?     in terms of what i ship, i tend to ship kazu and misumi individually with a lot of dif charas AJDHAKD. but in terms of like... in-universe "rival" pairings: kazu side: tsuzukazu (maybe, lbr it would take them 273924 yrs to actually get together), kazu x someone from winter (i... have my reasons but they'd take longer than what this answer entails) misumi side: ... surprisingly none that i can think of ahdjahd
Which character of the pairing do you like more? (Would you ever pair yourself with them?)     you know that tweet that's like "sometimes a ship is just your two favs"? yeah that's misukazu for me. but if i had to choose... misumi AJDHAJHDSF I HONESTLY WASNT THAT INTO YUME UNTIL THESE TWO CAME AROUND (NOT COUNTING 707)... but yeah if they wanted to hold me in their arms i wouldn't oppose
Which character of your pairing would be the one to break up with the other? Why?     OOOOOH BOY well. i think it could be either of them. i don't think they'd break up for lack of love but too much love and wanting the other to be happy and thinking that the only way to give them that is to let them go. so i guess the question is which of them would be more likely to be selfish and hold on. thinking this way, i think misumi would be more likely to break-up, bc kazu has lots of friends who are better than him!! and misumi is more ready to leave if he thinks he needs to than kazu is. now im sad.
Are they relatable as characters or as a pairing?     THE NUMBER OF TIMES I'VE BEEN CALLED KAZU KIN... in all seriousness kazu's struggles with speaking out and (shinobi spoilers) his uncertainty over his future hit real close to home... while i don't relate as much as misumi, his struggles always manage to tear my heart into pieces... ((oversharing alert) i guess what really separates me from misumi is his struggle with his desire to connect with family who has treated him poorly... whereas im more "lol fuck you") tldr i relate to kazu slightly more LOL
Did you once/ever dislike one/both of them?     i never disliked them but i was NOT expecting either of them to shoot up so quickly into my favs list ahdjahdjf. also i started shipping them Immediately After reading summer main story so there's that
On an estimate, how many posts have you made about them?    as of september 28th 2020 i make up 11/78 fics on ao3 in the romantic misukazu tag and 2/12 in the platonic one. i may have brainrot.
What made you decide to ship them?     TBH I FINISHED THE MAIN STORY AND WENT "OH MY GOD... THAT'S MY SHIP" but now that i'm here i continue to ship them because they have the potential to bring out both the best and the worst in each other and i'm all about that
Favorite genre for them? (Angst, fluff, etc.)     angst. i just. angst hurt/comfort all the way. im so sorry babies.
lol you thought there would just be 21 ANYWAY EXTRA 1: how do they spend breaks/vacation?    they'd travel a lot when they're older!! kazunari loves to travel and misumi would follow kazunari anywhere (also, new triangles!!) so they go somewhere new whenever they have the time. however i think eventually one or both of their future careers will take them anywhere and everywhere anyway, so their "ideal vacation" might turn into an evening in, cuddling and catching up (as if they didn't already send play-by-play updates over the phone of whatever they did during the day)
EXTRA 2: first date?     i don't they ever have an explicit first date, but if asked they'll cite the time they had a picnic in the park turned triangle hunt turned accidental dip in the duck pond. at least, kazunari will. misumi just tilts his head and wonders what you mean.
EXTRA 3: gifts?     IM FEELING REALLY CHEESY SO I'M MAKING THIS ABOUT ANNIVERSARY GIFTS they both end up getting each other jewelry (although kazu was really really nervous bc he wasn't sure if misumi would wear it). kazu gets misumi a bracelet (with triangles, of course although misumi only wears it sometimes because he doesn't want to lose it) and misumi gets kazu a pair of triangle earrings "so we can match!" and kazunari combusts at the implications
EXTRA 4: sharing clothes     THEY'RE ACTUALLY AROUND THE SAME SIZE (and tend to wear baggier stuff barring kazu's skinny jeans)... but they have completely different Styles so it's still really obvious when steal each other's stuff ahdjajdkaf. as cute as kazu would look in sumi's sweatshirt i think the much more likely scenario is kazu wrapping misumi in his jackets because this boy nEVER BRINGS HIS ANYWHERE anyway just. accidental shared wardrobe misukazu.
EXTRA 5: lake house au    consider: kazunari living in a house on the shore of a lake for a summer for Art Purposes (and a little bit for Dealing With Life purposes but he's not gonna admit that) and meets his lake neighbor misumi who kazu thinks might be a ghost or spirit for a while but he actually just lives further down the lake and misumi unknowingly helps kazu with his Life Issues and maybe they fall in love

The Feels Awaken, Part 3: A New Hope (for Friendship)
Written by @jkl-fff, illustrated by me
PART I - PART II [Interlude] - PART III - PART IV [Interlude] - PART V [FINAL] (you are here)
——————————————————————————————–
A new day dawned then waxed then began to wane, but Ford and Bill hardly noticed. A manic, obsessive energy (plus an unhealthy amount of coffee and sugar) kept them focused throughout their self-appointed task. Such is often the case for the kind of people who feel the need to write to right a wrong in the world. Not all heroes wear capes, after all; some wear turtlenecks and trenchcoats, some wear paper-based clones of teenage boys produced through unholy abominations of SCIENCE!.
… For that matter, not all heroes are particularly heroic; some are morally ambiguous straddlers of the line between antihero and antivillain, some are demonic chaos gods who (quite frankly) still wonder how in the 79 Hells they found themselves in this position.
In the end, though it did take more than the one night, they still finished in just over 16 hours. The plot outline came in at just over 18 pages, which they tidily stacked together on the table and declared to be more than adequate … before passing out on the carpet. Facefirst.
When Bill next regained consciousness, he was in his attic bed and morning light was streaming through the window. His mouth tasted like an abandoned prison for criminally insane chalk and his head felt like the internal turmoil of a buzzsaw having an existential crisis. It was a pain that was anything but hilarious; it was the sugared caffeine hangover equivalent of nuclear fallout … Mouthwash fixed the first problem. The second took an adult dosage of aspirin, a lot of water, and deliberate manipulation of many of the clonesuit’s normally automatic processes for a full eight minutes. And even then, not completely.
“Guess I can’t pilot one of these things through 36+ hours of no sleep on a gallon of coffee … Not if I wanna be able to still maneuver it the next day without crashing every ten feet into a wall or the floor, at least,” he grumbled to himself. “Major design flaw … Can’t believe they got evolutionarily approved for mass production with such weak durability …”
Downstairs in the kitchen, Stan greeted him jovially enough. “Stancakes are up, and so are you, it seems. How you feelin’ today?”
“Honestly, confused,” Bill graveled, his clonesuit throat still raw. “I can get longterm possession of a meatbag leading to me—y’know, the real me—developing emotions and physical cravings and other … gross, brain-mush junk like that. Neurochemistry is basically just an addictive habit, like how people respond to hearing the question ‘What is love?’—”
“Baby, don’t hurt me. Don’t hurt me no more,” Stan mumbled automatically.
“Exactly. But what I don’t get is why the real me is also feeling this coffee and sugar hangover. No joke: I tried leaving my clonesuit to get away from it, but it followed me. How is that fair? And, yeah, existence isn’t fair,” Bill interjected before Stan automatically could. “But still …”
Like the benevolent and experienced sage he was (more or less), Stan chuckled to himself. Then, laying a companionable arm around Bill’s shoulders, he leaned in and whispered the truth as grimly as Death itself, “You can outrun your sins, but you can never outrun a hangover.”
“W-wha?”
“Some say if you never stop drinkin’, it’ll never catch up with you. But they are fools. Sooner or later, all things must sleep—sooner or later, all who drink must suffer.”
“Uh … K-kinda freakin’ me out here.” Bill tried to lean away, but Stan’s hold was inescapable. “And, just sayin’, I’m kinda responsible for making most of the 79 Hells as freaky as they are.”
“Heed my warning, child.”
“I’m heeding! I’m heeding! Elder Gods, Stan, the only one who’s supposed to give people nightmares around here is me …”
Straightening up, Stan went back to the stove to continue what passed for cooking with him. “Once you’re done eatin’, by the way, I gotta plate for you to take down to Ford. He prob’ly needs some food and water more ‘n you do.”
Between mouthfuls of food, Bill said, “Yeah, sure … You seen what we wrote, by the way?”
“Yeah. It’s not bad at all. I’d def’nitely go see movies like that. Might even pay my own money for it, too. Heh … Even Soos admitted the storylines are better. Haven’t seen him that downcast ‘bout anything in a while, either. Looked as painful for him as cutting out his own kidney. Might have to do something nice for him soon just to make up for it,” Stan added to himself.
“Huh … Yeah, maybe …” Bill chewed on his breakfast, almost starting to maybe feel guilty. Then, when he finished, he put his dishes in the sink, picked up what was meant for Ford, and took it down to the lab.
Ford, as usual, was at his desk. He was hunched over with a pen, which was also fairly usual. However, and this was very unusual, all his notes and Journals had been pushed into a corner—neatly stacked, but well out of the way. Close to hand, as if for quick reference, was actually their Cosmos Conflicts storyline.
Bill cleared his throat. “Brought some breakfast for ya from Stan.” He set it on the desk, but away from any of the papers (just in case). “How you feeling? I woke up with a caffeine hangover I couldn’t escape even when I left my body. Er, clonsuit. Whatever. Same dif.”
“… I didn’t really sleep very deeply,” Ford eventually replied, his voice as hoarse as Bill’s. “Ergo, I can’t really say I woke up with such a hangover, but I’m suffering one all the same.”
“Yeesh, that sucks. Taken anything? Had some water and some food? That helped me.”
“Some water and aspirin, yes, though I’m not sure I could keep much food down … I suppose I ought to try, anyway.”
“If you feel more rotten than a two-week-old apple core, why are you working?” Bill asked, sliding the plate closer.
“I’m not really working, per se,” Ford answered guiltily. “Just … sketching. Some stuff. For what we came up with.”
Bill’s eyes lit up with interest. “Ooo! Really? Can I see? Please?”
For a moment, Ford’s jaw worked. As though trying to control himself.
“It’s okay,” Bill said hurriedly, though unable to fully contain his disappointment. “I get it. I’ll leave you al—”
A couple pages’ worth of images (some rough sketches, some little more than absent doodles, and some rather intricate and detailed) were thrust at the Demon. “Here. Can’t see any harm in you looking at them, anyway, so …” Ford mumbled. Without looking up, he cut in to his food. “Was just doing this since I’m too awake and restless to just not do anything, but too … wooly in the head, I suppose you could say, to do any productive work.”
Bill poured over them, delighting in the imaginative whimsy of them. Most were of characters from the prequels, though with distinctive touches—touches reflecting their own collaboration (such as Otherkin in a stained pilot’s attire, Imdolledupa aiming ruthlessly with a blaster, and Jelived Knights wearing a different style of clothing from Jelived Sentinels or Jelived Healers). But some were very different, especially among the doodles. “Ha! You made a Soos Wookie!”
Ford couldn’t resist smiling. “Soosbacca. Co-pilot to Stan Solo.”
“In their spaceship, the Mystery Falcon, right? Is Melody a Wookie, too?”
“Huh … That’s not a bad idea, actually. I was having a hard time seeing how to fit her in, since she isn’t really the Princess Leia type.”
“But Mabel and—pff!—Dipper are?” Bill snorted, pointing to where they were both sketched with the iconic braids wrapping around their ears. “Both of them together?”
“Well, they’re also both Luke, since I couldn’t really pick who fit which roll better.”
“Two sets of the twins running around, huh?” Bill murmured, though he was really thinking about two Dippers (and they weren’t running around, either—they were very much not running). “… And Wendy’s Lando, I see. Am I Yoda, since I’m the most triangular or everybody, and the right size?”
“Uh …” Ford hesitated.
“Pff, it’s alright, I can already see 3PO and R2 are both me.”
Lamely, the Weirdologist explained, “Because you’re shiny. That’s the extent of the logic.”
“You gonna do any more sketches?”
“Assuming I can keep breakfast down, probably,” Ford said around a mouthful. “It’s … distracting. And fun. And relaxing, too. Helps to pass the time on a down day like this.”
“Um … M-mind if I stay and watch? Please?” Bill almost begged. “Y’know how much I love watching you meatbags make art.”
“… Oh, fine,” Ford relented. Because what was the harm in being nice to the Demon? Ford didn’t have to trust him for that. “Just don’t make any noise. My head aches enough as it is.”
Bill mimed zipping his lips and throwing away the key before pulling up a chair and settling himself comfortably beside Ford. The only time he broke his silence after that was to ask Ford if he wanted more water, and to assert that the others would get a kick out of seeing these sketches (“especially Soos … the Twins, too, though we’d have to text ‘em a photo of ‘em, or mail the whole project to ‘em to see …”).
All in all, it turned out to be a rather nice day for both of them together.

Hello dear your work makes me smile whenever I see it,may I request some headcannons of Shinsou and s/o who went dark side? (Both villains, s/o has a quirk like psychosis, where they can make whoever the quirk is being used on experience extreme hallucinations/stuff) Are they completely cracked or is it something like Stain's ideology, where they go after the corrupt hero's who don't deserve their title? (The idea of class 1-A dealing with them makes me cackle, cause shit dude, they're screwed)
LISTEN HERE I FUCKING LOVE VILLAIN SHINSOU AND I NEVER FUCKING SHUT UP ABOUT HIM TO MY FRIEND @star-sprite SO THANK YOU SO FUCKIN MUCH AND I HOPE YOU LIKE IT! (ALSO SRRY THIS IS DONE IN A DIF STYLE THAN USUAL BUT I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER YOUR SPECIFIC QUESTIONS)…and also i decided to test out my nsfw writing a bit so it might be garbage idk sdhsjd
Villain! Shinsou Hitoshi
First of all, I’d imagine both Shinsou and his s/o are..fairly sane..heh
With quirks that are both very often scene as having villainous or evil intent, they both grew up facing the ridicule and the hatred and this hatred festered once the two of them got together.
Think of it in this way, you know how sometimes you get excited for a thing and you excitedly tell your friend, and they are equally excited so the two of you just become a yelling mess of excitement? That is sort of how Shinsou and his s/o’s hatred grew stronger together. They both saw how the other was treated which finally opened their eyes to the fact that no one deserves that and that the ‘system’ is total bullshit, only allowing those with flashy quirks to have the spotlight while the rest are left to rot in their shadows.
This realization is what pushed them to a life of villainy, though at first in their eyes, they were the heroes for the underdogs. They were going to fix this fucked system and cross the lines that needed to be crossed for the sake of others like them.
At first, murder and anything extreme was out of the question. Like anyone would who wanted a large scale problem fixed, they started out small, leading rally’s or symbolically destroying certain monuments and artifacts. After that things got a bit more intense with either Shinsou, his s/o, or both of them working to influence certain people to get things done. When that wasn’t enough though, ohoh that’s when their lives got fun.
The first time the both teamed up to kill someone..neither of them were really expecting the thrill. It was just some low level pro, the thought was that taking out a few mediocre ‘heroes’ who didn’t deserve the title would stir something, but fuck was it fun for Shinsou’s s/o to cause their target to hallucinate that they were getting away from the two only to have their last view being the blood spilling from the bullet wound in their head.
Shinsou was honestly scared at how much of an adrenaline rush was coursing through his veins and he had to bite his cheek to keep himself from smiling. He felt sick at the idea of enjoying such a thing, but he couldn’t help it, and when he heard a stifled laugh come from his s/o, he knew he didn’t really have to hide it if they felt the same way.
It was after this revelation that sanity became a concern of the past. With the two of them together, they could do a lot and they knew this very, very well. They still had a job to do, sure, but everyone loved to have a bit of fun at work.
It almost became a game to see what fucked up things his s/o could come up with to get into people’s heads, and by that time Shinsou had perfected the art of controlling people while letting them still have their thoughts, so all the while they would be able to know every move they made and not be able to do a damn thing about it.
Now doing this wasn’t something he particularly enjoyed doing a whole lot because it could be difficult to do so for long, but his s/o just always got such a kick out of it that he couldn’t help himself.
It got to a point where he’d pick up ‘toys’ for his s/o that had nothing to do with their cause, but his s/o liked having something to keep them entertained, especially when they were hanging low for a while. Mostly they’d end up just using the people Shinsou controlled as servants, but if his s/o wanted it, he’d get it for them.
Sometimes, thinking back on their high school days, Shinsou wondered if his influence on his s/o was what had made them oh so cracked, but every time he saw that devilish smile on his s/o’s face, everything else faded away and he realized this was ride or die no matter who came to take them down.
On top of that, his dependence on his s/o had grown over the years and his time without them made him feel like he was having fucking withdrawals, so he knew he was hooked, but honestly?? He didn’t ever want to be fixed.
Slowly but surely, Shinsou and his s/o will sort of feed off one another’s lost grip of reality and their goal, and before you know it they are no longer freedom fighters for the underdog’s, they’re just incredible, unstoppable villains.
Things change after this point and their views become more selfish. They start a very ‘if we want it, we’ll take it’ type lifestyle and they end up with a hand in many different types of businesses and such. Drugs, weapons, you name it. With their quirks they can get shit with zero cost and make all the profit they could ever fucking want so they’re living like a King and Queen.
Of course, they can’t let others in the same business know too much about them so they can’t live overly lavishly and they have to seem like they are on the same level as everyone else is in the playing field. This means that straight up stealing is limited, but every once in a while Shinsou will just tell someone to hand over their product without a fuss, or his s/o will make them believe that the products they gave were paid for.
When things get too easy, they both end up itching to go the extra mile to get the same thrill as they used to. This means risky missions, many near death experiences, using some of the ‘products’ they should be sending out to be sold on the streets, anything. It’s almost like they are living only with the purpose of telling death to come and stop them.
It was during one of these ‘risky’ missions when the two of them had run into a group of old pals from UA. Shinsou specifically told his s/o to leave Deku alone, but the rest were fair game.
While it was nice seeing their old classmates crumble, the ones who were always so high and mighty were the best to watch. Seeing fear in the eyes of those who claimed to not know of such things was definitely a treat.
All the while, as skewed as their motives have become, their personalities are the same and Shinsou is the same old snarky, tired eyed little shit and his s/o is the same as they’ve always been. Of course there’s a bit of questionable sanity thrown in there, but that’s totally irrelevant..right?
NSFW
I’m not saying either of them are sex addicts or anything, but when you mix an adrenaline rush with two intense lovers such as themselves, things get very heated very easily.
There is a lot of fucking straight after a mission. Hell, the two of them could be in the lavish penthouse of some poor fuck they just murdered and robbed with the body still slumped in the corner and he’ll have his s/o pinned up against the wall twenty feet away.
Originally, Shinsou was a very passionate and slow lover when it came to sex with his s/o. He liked taking the time to show his appreciation and he’d happily take a half hour or longer to eat out/suck off his lover to his heart’s content because he can’t deny that hearing them beg for release gets him just as excited as hearing a hero with a gun to their head begging to be spared.
He still will do this if he’s got the time, but fuck has he come to love the fast, erotic post-murder/mission fucking fueled by adrenaline and excitement at the previous venture.
During these times, things get rough and Shinsou is absolutely one to leave little finger shaped bruises all down his s/o’s sides from gripping too hard. Oddly enough though, he tries not to leave many hickies because when he sees them the next day, he finds it hard to concentrate just because he wants to bend his s/o over the nearest table and fuck them all over again.
The two of them have also had more time to develop less..vanilla tastes and indulge in likes or kinks that may seem strange to others.
For example, Shinsou stopped being embarrassed about it a long time ago, but a lot of times he’s asked his s/o to wear lipstick because he has an odd fascination with seeing everywhere their lips were on his body after a passionate evening.
E s p e c i a l l y when he has the honor of seeing that ring of red or pink so close to the base of his cock. It’s almost a game to see how far his s/o was able to take it this time around and he’s always hoping that they’ll ‘win’ that game and make it to the ‘top’.

D&D Meme! How about... 1, 2, 6, 10, 25, and 34?
Okay, so this might be a long one. Running this one off the top of my head here. Going to probably put this under a read more. Keep in mind that all of this will be based off of DnD games ONLY. Not any of the other tabletops I’ve done over the years.
1. Favorite Character: I’ve done a lot of DnD over the years. Ultimately though, my favorite must be Scarlet Bonnie. Scarlet was a fox Hengeyokai Bard/Rogue hybrid class I played during 4th ed. She was a highwayman and a spy in a world that treated adventuring as a spectator sport. She joined as a performer though in reality she was secretly getting close to her allies and keeping tabs on the secrets of the mage’s council that ran the games.
As I’m normally the DM in a lot of cases, Scarlet was one of the few times I’ve ever really gotten to delve into the background and her story. As well as really play up who she was in the world.
2. Favorite Character from Someone Else: Reminder that this is just for DnD games I’ve been in/run. Probably would come down a faun paladin/cleric known as Dif-Dif. Honestly this is just a straight up mechanics choice. Dif-Dif was a monster in a support role. Just having her on the team more or less rendered the party immune to the majority of dangers that would come across. All while she herself was a tank of ridiculous proportions. I don’t think I’ve felt safer as a player than when Dif-Dif was part of the squad.
6. Favorite Death: So, a little backstory on this one. I was playing in a FLGS for a little while at this point, and my usual group picked up this guy who demanded everyone call him The Wanderer. He was basically the stereotype. Bearded, smelled, social skills of a particularly irate shrub. He always played an elven ranger with a long bow that was always called The Wanderer. His character rarely, if ever, interacted with any of the other PCs and he strongly believed that his stick and move sniper style tactics would always win the day.
Now, I killed him well on a number of occasions(including giving him his first PC death ever), but those times were all in d20 Modern/urban arcana settings. So they don’t count here. So I’m going to one of his greatest deaths and it was in a 4e campaign. Once again as The Wanderer, he bought a giant lizard mount when he found out they could climb with him on it. Well, he trailed the team(rather than walk with us) until we were ambushed. He wanted to get all the way to the far limits of his bow’s range, and did so by having his lizard scale a cliffside that the team was walking along. To keep him busy, the DM sent some flying dinosaurs to harry him. The moment one of them got near, he wanted to drop prone to avoid an attack. Well, he dropped prone from roughly 200 feet up and above a bed of thorny predatory vines. He never did learn to just stick with the party.
10. Fave enemy and enemy I hate: This is a hard question. I have different reasons for loving enemies. I love dragons, vampires and spellcasters in most DnD because they make for great big bads. Smarts, power and utility in general. But I also love zombies and skelemans for the fact they can be used en masse and really drive home the power a lot of the players have. So it’s really a tough one here. All around though, I might have to say Golems. I know it’s an odd choice, but I find golems to be a consistent threat at most levels, particularly in editions where they have a strong immunity to magic. I love that they’re a good check at levels where casters start to run a bit higher test to the rest of the party. As for enemies, I like facing giants. They’ve always felt like good, big enemies that feel good to finally take down.
Least favorite? This is an easier one. I hate the Intellect Devourer. Always have and always will. Its look is dumb, its gimmick is almost always ability damage which is something I’ve always look askance at. It’s just an all around garbage monster that adds nothing to any game it’s placed in.
25. What have players done I couldn’t plant for?  Strapping many many vials of alchemists fire and gunpower onto a donkey and sending it into a stronghold before fireballing it. Not much else to the story, it basically went as you could expect.
34. Picking weapons for flavor/utility: Both. In DnD, especially with the group I’ve had longest, I’ve been mostly a mechanical leaning player. It’s a matter of survival. Mostly, I’ve gotten around my love for flavor by instead building mechanically sound builds and then looking at the facets of that build and determining the kind of person or character that would develop in that way.

The Where: Astrological Houses
Tumblr media
You may be aware of your big three by now and maybe even the rest of our solar system! If you can even remember what planet represents/or affects what, that’s a victory because it’s a lot of information and it may be a while before it’s second nature like some other astrology facts (writing posts like this and highlighting my book helps me process information). Understanding how and why is a big step in the right direction. Now to get on to the where.
This where is the different areas of our lives, detailed above. Looking at the spread of houses in your chart and which signs are where can show you the balance in your life (or maybe lack thereof, no judgment). Your first is always your ascendant. So, I’m a Gemini rising. This means I have Gemini in my first house! Getting there...
Personality... Mask... Self expression... Outer expression... These are some of the categories listed on that graphic. The First House is known as the ‘house of self’. The package most encounter first when they meet you and how you present, it really ties to our sense of self. Who we are, who we seem, and who we could be. A cosmic first impression, if you will.
Tumblr media
The First House: House Of The Ascendant Mask serves as a starting point. Referencing early childhood and what people will gather from you about when first meeting from you, it’s a good idea to think of it that way. My Mercurial rising denotes that I have a bouncing energy and I need to stay moving (accurate, I dragged boredom in a last post).
“People born with this rising sign are often fast, thin, movable, unstable, and sometimes superficial. They need to stay well-informed, infiltrated in their social environment, and always have a reason to communicate or brainstorm on issues that surround them daily.”
I am in fact one of this people who eats what they want and remains relatively the same (although social distancing is challenging that). When left to my devices, I get nitpicky and pessimistic. An exercised brain and body goes a long way to sow satisfaction. Now if I could only focus some of that dogged energy and I’d probably be the president... That’s my lesson journey to make (through a chart that is determined not to let me), and hopefully I’m slowly learning how.
Tumblr media
The Second House: House Of Resources relates to abundance, material possessions, and personal resources. This can be translated literally but also means skills, credentials, abilities, confidence... Etc, things that make you feel supported. Able to secure a (comfortable) life for yourself. I actually have nothing prominent in this area of my chart. That is not to say I don’t have the things mentioned! But it’s certainly been a long, winding, twisting road that I don’t want to talk about on here.
Contemplate the placements in your chart and the things you do and do not have. I will be the first to say I don’t always have the self esteem I need for my profession or even to do the social things I liked to do before covid life, I just powered through it. Security is something I always crave but don’t always feel, I’ve always coped by nesting. Working often when hours allowed to grasp at financial security or comfort.
True to the rest of my chart, my mind flies and I will usually try to find a solution where I can. What have you always had as a resource?
The Third House: House Of Perception is how WE communicate with the world. My personal Mercury is in Leo, and that is my third house folks! My mind set, my writing style, my way of explaining myself and telling stories. This verbose placement makes me perceptive to understanding and finding ways to communicate with others.
I don’t have much fire in my chart at all, but I find many positives in it for this. I come alive and open up telling stories. I can’t help it. I will be the first to admit I have a criminally short attention span and there’s a lot of different things I can attribute to that. I’m an entertaining and lively story teller, but I can have problems noticing attention with details (due to that... attention span...).
For such an earth sign and air heavy person, I have to hold on to my fire and my passion. And that is (CLEARLY) in detailing, explaining, and telling things to people!
The Fourth House: House Of Nadir is all about comfort. How we soothe, relax, and comfort ourselves. Our homes. Our family threads. Our Parents. Starting to see that for me, my home and safety is linked to my Sun and Moon (Virgo) so now I can understand why my obsessive need for order in my home. How my home life was often unstable, and I even willingly assimilated into to others to escape that (a LOT). I’m also a ‘make people my home’ kind of person, you can argue with all my Virgo about that.
Understanding the prominence in my houses is helping me to understand how I cope and how to better do so. Healthily and not just in a way that allows me to continue being productive.
This house and sign can give us insight to how we dealt with childhood development, maybe friction and issues with our parents and more. My analytical and critical ways didn’t come from nowhere.
The Fifth House: House Of Self Expression, Creativity, Pleasure, And Romance is a house ruled by the bright Leo and Sun. How do you find and express joy? What do you find fun; what can still delight you as you grow older? Surprise you, even? The child-like euphoria I’m describing is what the fifth house is all about. Life’s joys, big and small and what can bring out your youth.
This is a very natural way for you to present, explain, and conduct yourself (hard to miss like the bright shining rays of the sun). This is you and your energy focused in an unmissable way. Though it may take some of us longer than others to capture their inner child, some people never lose touch with that part of themselves!
I have no notable placements here, but that’s not to say I don’t know how to let loose or have a good time. It’s all about leaving a playful, creative mark on the world in only the way YOU can. Unique. Specific. If I followed the trend of my chart and had some Virgo placements in that area, I would need to battle my critical nature on the way to achieving happiness (as that could easily block my and other Virgos way).
On the other hand, if a chart had Leo in this place of strength they would have a strong, energetic, masculine energy that might need to be reigned in from trying to sway and change the opinions of others too much. People like passion and a lively spirit, but not a bullheaded person who tramples all of their opinions.
The Sixth House: House Of Legacy, Health, Lineage, And Service is a little more forward than some houses. The house before is about “the creative mark you specifically leave on the world”. So our sixth house is how we serve it (ruled by Virgo baby so I get this lingo) and how healing ourselves can help others. This is especially important placement-wise for people who may seek a career in healthcare.
“Essential to the work we do in life is the work we do on our self.”
We cannot be any good to others if we are not well in mind, body and spirit (a lesson my mercurial/mutable ass is still trying to drill into myself). Placements in this area of your chart can detail if you’re on top of personal and mental hygiene or if you struggle (like me in times of disorder and straight up depression). Odd jobs and alternative ways of supporting yourself can be mapped out here also.
“They care a lot about the balance between their outer interactions with the world, the social sphere, and the inner equilibrium given by their aspirations and goals.
If these two are contradictory and conflicting, they will often choose to give up on what others think.”
I see freelancer whenever I look up my personal Pluto (In Scorpio In the sixth house). One thing about dancing is that I’m technically a freelancer contract and not an “employee” of my club (for better or for worse). Checking out what planets or signs are happening in this area could tell you about how you work and take care of yourself.
The Seventh House: House Of Descendants, Relationships, And Other People is straightforward. If you are trying to understand what makes your interpersonal relationships tick, this is a house that could shed some light (unless you’re like me and also have no prominent placements here sgdfshvsd).
It won’t be all chocolates and roses, but what we could be able to glean from our star and planet placement here are our Halsey Bad At Love habits. Our dependencies and short comings when it comes to relationships. It’s easy to not realize this this part of us or our chart exists since it’d seem obvious. I have my North and South nodes in this placement (in a challenging position mind you) and I’d sure be a liar to say I didn’t see that influence but enough about me!
Paying attention to how transits happen can show you a gradual change in your approach to these things. This is business partnerships, friendships, everything under the sun relating other people.
The Eighth House: House Of Transformation And Death Oh yes, like the Fourth House for me this is another one I have double placements in (so my home/need to feel at home is basically tied to my physical and mental well-being and my affinity and interest in the occult and spirits might be because of some heavy planet situations). This sounds a bit scary, but what is death if not the biggest transformation?
If you’re keenly interested in mysticism, the unconscious, and spiritual that can’t be explained then some placements here could tell you why. This house has the power to change our entire way of being, it is either heralded or feared (I reckon both now that I can understand what this means). The reason that, even if I’m not religious, I can subscribe to something more at work. That I felt and respected something it in New Orleans, that I do think I’m sensitive to energy. A Neptune and Uranus in the area mentioned might have a bit to do with that.
But think about how different life often feels after a year. How we may have softened or been radicalized in that time-frame. These are micro-deaths, little changes that happen gradually and over time. That is what the Eighth house is all about. Transformation, like Pluto and Scorpio have to do with.
“Compulsions, obsessions, primal entanglements—these all require serious grappling with the core to untangle. The eighth house concerns those life issues that we are often at the mercy of, that feel fated, and therefore, hard to resolve.”
So.... The way I use my imagination to transcend boundaries, innovate and disrupt (both in a strict Capricorn way and both planets in Retrograde ardsfghxes) is in this mysterious house. So are you running away from me yet, or.....
The Ninth House: The House Of Paradigms is the house of philosophy. Our personal philosophy, growth, and expansion. Examining this area of our natal chart can help us understand our unique quest for understanding. What is our why? What do we want to learn before we leave this mortal coil? Life is a continuing journey of knowledge and this is here to remind us of that.
“The way in which we expand our inner and outer lives is also addressed by the Ninth House. Travel and interaction with other peoples and cultures are a means to this end. Our dreams — those that illustrate our past as well as those that speak to future events — also help to mold our being and our relationships. Taking this a step further, psychics as the bearers of relevant information also come into play.”
The third house covers the subconscious, the opposite side is all about high thoughts and functions. Placements here can inspire a logical analysis to a lot of topics, spontaneity, but also a tendency to be cynical and untrusting of ideas that are not your own.  This is certainly true of my own Saturn residing here. All bases covered, what kind of insight does your chart provide?
The Tenth House: House Of Midheaven probably leaves you wondering “What’s Midheaven?” A very important location on everyone’s chart. Astrologers say the Midheaven is the point on your chart that points out our ideal destiny and career path. Sitting north physically on a natal chart it’s meant to be a point of focus.
“Some of the traits or characteristics that go along with the planets in this house might be what people first see or understand of you when they initially meet you. Pay close attention to your Midheaven if you're seeking clarity on your career.”
My personal chart is more heavily reflective in areas of odd jobs and accessing other’s resources and generosity, lol but who knows what it can say about you!
The Eleventh House: House Of Friends And Future is all about our tribe, our social circles, and how we relate to them. Heavy placements may mean you feel a sense of community and more than just friendship with your group of friends. Are you the mom friend? Do you sit back and enjoy everyone being themselves? What role do you play in the grand scheme of life and your friends?
Maybe you’ve never felt like you truly belonged amongst a group, maybe few people. Maybe you’ve never belonged at all. Looking at what planets, signs, and transits traverse through this house could show you why.
“The traditional ruler for this House is Saturn, showing how an idea held by many can be stabilizing. Astrologer Stephen Arroyo writes of the Eleventh House as one of seeking "intellectual security."
This is the House where collaboration, shared visions and community find expression, and then form.”
The Twelfth House: House Of Spiritual Liberation and just like the first house is the beginning, here we’ve reached the end of the journey through our planets and charts! Was it a hard walk through the stars? Enlightening? Overbearing? The darkness before the dawn, the Twelfth House is where the unforeseen comes to light.
There is a second, darker side to all of us. The sooner we collectively accept and face it, the higher vibrational we can all be. That isn’t to say it’s pleasant or even easy, but if we take care of each other it’s certainly possible.
“It’s one of the four dark houses. It’s cadent. And it’s the joy of Saturn, who delights in isolation, restriction, and loneliness.”
This house is ruled over by Saturn or what controls how we draw and enforce boundaries and restrictions (within ourselves or other people). A part of the chart shrouded in darkness or referred to as hidden, so can the troubles and grief seem. If my Sun and Moon were in the 12th house, I might find myself even more critical or pessimistic, drenched in darkness and the shadows I would likely expect the same of others.
“Natives born with Virgo in Twelfth House should be aware of the fact that they tend to give up on themselves to make others feel great. They may discover one day that they’re no longer healthy or able to help their loved ones or even strangers.”
No matter what house you find my girl V in, the focus and central point is do the mental, physical, and emotional/spiritual work so that we are able to feel good by serving others. We’re no good to others when we’re no good to ourselves.

A PSA: protip from an artist to fanfic writers
you can always tell when a fanfic writer has never met or even seen an artist irl ever bc they ALWAYS. WITHOUT A FAIL. will have their artist character drawing with charcoal like casually and it feels kinda like a copout like yes i know there are charcoal artists out there but listen,,,, 95% of artists who like just draw on sketchbooks bc they love drawing actually hate charcoal charcoal is one of the most impractical mediums for sketching and it gets everywhere and it smudges all over ur sketchbook pages and everything else in your life forever so like really take into account what the profile of the character as an artist is and more often than not you'll find yourself realizing that no, no matter how lyrically you think the image of charcoal sketching would work, your character would not find it practical/worth the mess to carry around one or more charcoal sticks then have it MARK UP ALL THEIR EARTHY POSSESSIONS (sorry im really passionate abt this) just for sketching also PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF BUMBLEBEES dont use it as a synonym for graphite ok just dont just say graphite, say they were using a pencil i promise you itll feel better. ⚫️here's some nice alternatives to charcoal if u like a Messy Artist™feel to things + how to match them to your character based on my experiences w artists that use these mediums/myself: → ink has a similar edge of "fingertips smudged in black probably forever" but it's simpler to carry even though it also has that risk of staining everything you love, depending on how its used (as in, will they carry around a glass bottle of jett black ink and a brush in their bag/pocket or just have it in different kinds of pens?) + artist who use ink usually like a very finished crisp look to their work and are therefor usually quite methodical and have (or strive to have) steady hands even with fluid lines there's intent to whats going on. these artists usually sketch first (and rarely in graphite, usually blue or red colored pencil) so keep that in mind too. rarely will you see someone just straight up taking a brush pen to paper with no layout and if they do they have a very clear image in mind and outstanding control and understanding of where everything should go and how and where. →watercolor is less messy but it takes a bit more of a setup bc you need water and usually a palette. i use it quite a bit myself on my sketchbook and what i do is i just ask for/get glasses of water anywhere i go, get my paints and whatever scrap of paper to mix them on and im ready bc all i care about is my finished product and i usually draw in places where water is easily accessible (like parks w water fountains/stores w water fountains nearby, coffee shops, school, etc) but a lot of artists who have it as their *main* medium and have developed more practical setups over the years tend to have lil travel palettes that are tiny and easy to pack as well as waterbrushes and water bottles to fill them with all in all not too hard to carry around with minimal incident. people with watercolor as a main medium are usually more laid back and like things to look soft and dreamy (can be REALLY picky about paper tho) and generally just strive for happiness and like pretty things (if yr person is painting a landscape, its probably in watercolor since it dries fairly quickly and like i said isnt too hard to carry) →acrylic artists uhh... idk any other artists who paint w acrylic on their sketchbook so ill just speak for them ok WE JUST WANT THINGS TO LOOK GOOD OK WE WILL SUFFER FOR IT WE DONT CARE its a bit of a lot to carry depending on how many colors ur tryna have to mix but u gotta have at least ur 3 primaries and a black and a white (some artists work w yellow cyan and magenta but ppl swear by yellow ultramarine and red so idk ycm shows better online or if ur printing it out so it works for me bc i like my colors really really bright) and ur brushes so ye. + like i said folks who work with acrylic have a very specific look and feel they're going for and they dive headfirst into it, if something goes wrong, acrylic is usually quite opaque so it can be easily layered over once its dry, blending usually comes from mixing dif midtones so if thats part of their style they're probably quite patient/willing to sacrifice their patience for a good end product. some artists will mix their colors themselves bc they like the process or because they want very specific shades and those are the methodical fuckers who'll die for things to look the way they gotta look and also just really like the process (be it because it relaxes them or makes them think or whatever BUILD ON THAT W UR CHARACTER) and some just get premixed bottles of the colors they want and those are really focused on efficiency and laying paint down wherever they're painting and getting it done (so not so much the process but the act of painting or even just having art made) but i cant really speak for those too much then again thats between you and ur character →IF YOUR CHARACTER WORKS WITH COLORED PENCILS AS THEIR MAIN MEDIUM THEY'RE A WELL OF PATIENCE AND DESERVE TO BE CANONIZED. fairly easy to carry i mean i own like 100 of them and i just carry one big pencil case w them in so ye whats really tiresome is the process since u gotta go color for color and cant really cover too wide a surface w the pencil tip ever + usually daydreamers and, honestly, dayDREAMS, lovely patient folk who just really like color and enjoy the introspectiveness and calm of coloring. explore those dudes, they deserve it SUMMARY: TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE MEDIUM YOUR ARTIST USES. THINK ABOUT STYLE. DONT JUST HAVE YOUR PAINTED MAKE ABSTRACT ART BC YOU CANT BE BOTHERED TO THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER TO DO WITH PAINT. IF UR NOT GONNA MAKE IT PART OF UR CHARACTER STUDY WHAT THEY MAKE ART WITH AND HOW AND WHAT ABOUT UR MISSING OUT MAN!!!!!! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!! please give your artist characters the depth they deserve and remember us artists build half of ourselves because, through and around our art so to make that just a title of ours is kind of a disservice, your artist character wouldnt want that. visual artists feel free to add on to this!!
