There's a certain pleasure in not unfollowing wich feels natural and non-algorithmic.

Like for instance you follow John Doe who's reblogging nice stuff about something you like and then this John Doe starts posting stuff about something they're really passionate about and you're just indifferent to.

You're about to hit the unfollow button when you realize that sometimes you just like people for their passion and commitment to whatever they love.

honestly the ads Specifically Marketed to tumblr (pikaman, the jetpack ads with the sword, day one, etc) are another level of infuriating because they try So Fucking Hard to be #quirky #relatable #tumblrculture and it’s just so embarrassing. and yet people still think it’s funny and call them self aware and good ads like.that’s Exactly what they want you to think these ads Work on those people so we’ll just keep getting more.and also not to mention they’re like every three posts which is annoying as hell. just don’t engage with ads and realize corporations Are Not Your Friends no matter how self-aware and quirky their ads are. anyway

Ok so

There's one thing I never entirely understood. .. It's that, why is souces/op of random posts such a huge deal on here? Almost none of these blogs are monitized and god knows tumblr doesn't really give you any benefits for having a popular post. The site actually kinda punishes you for it.

Like? Do I want to reblog a stupid joke if the op is a jerkhole? No, not really. Cuz I don't want ppl to like a jerk. But it's not like reblogging some dumb post means I'm automatically signing on to everything they ever did. Maybe I just giggled at a joke.

But ppl treat it like it's a Very Big Deal even though my blog is not very popular and I'm p sure most the ppl here know what I'm about (because I don't shut up about it).

And this isn't some deep criticism of #TumblrCulture I just honestly don't get it. Lol

As i get reacquainted with living on tumblr (lol), like not just using it to pass the time but actively engaging in it, my blog becomes more incomprehensible.

I started reblogging Sims things again. Plus the usual tumblrculture nonsense. Plus still the errant Harringrove take that is #accurate. Plus remembering that Teen Wolf really did that for me and following and reposting some of those blogs. PLUS MCU fandom being very alive again now that WandaVision is tearing it up. PLUS PLUS The Untamed has literally picked me up and stolen me bodily.
