I'm not gonna say I didn't want to say anything cause I did, I wanted to as the loud mouth bitch I am, and whether or not this gets dragged out longer than it needs to be is for everyone else to decide cause I just don't care. I also am not trying to speak for other people as I say this, both my close friends & BIPOC people in general because I know many disagree with me and that's okay, but I do think I would bring it up and call it a day.
I just want to address the nonsense idea that somehow I and a handful of other outspoken people are the reason why the tlou/ppcu fandom communities on here "fell off" or are toxic and we're at fault for making this space hostile and pushing people off of the platform. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
The community had it's issues before any of us were involved, and it got worse after some of us left and stopped engaging as much for a handful of reasons: the blatant racism & microagressions that continue to be swept under the rug, massive AI scraping & AI fics being posted altogether, that dumb confessions page & everyone who keeps entertaining it, a brutal uptick in purity culture that feeds into so much discourse surrounding what people like to create, consume, interact with, joel dying and the hype around TLOU going down after S2 ended & people now have to wait 2-3 years for S3, etc. All of those things existed before anybody within "my clique" (whatever that means) started talking about the overt harm that was directed towards us from the community we were all in. Many people leave these online spaces for different reasons, some personal, and some just because being on this platform no longer brings them joy. But outright blaming the faults of the fandom on a small group of people that were equally afffected by the same issues is just crazy I mean??
I know what people have been saying & entertaining, what people have been sending me nonstop, especially regarding a post I made a few months ago that was done in a fit of rage and frustation. I do apologize for my approach on that post, and if people are that upset & want to crucify me over screenshots that involved specific usernames, then I'm willing to have a conversation about it on a personal level & apologize directly if that would be something they're open to. I also would like to add that I didn't intend to call these individual people "racists", but rather it came off as ignorant which would've been a better word to describe how I saw that post. However, I do want to emphasize that my frustation about the issue didn't just come out of nowhere. It came from months of buildup of this passive agressive attitude that came from people, whether knowingly or unknowingly, interacting with posts that come off as microagressive towards those trying to bring awareness on topics revolving racism and non-white experiences in fanfic writing.
We've had conversations for months about the racism in the PPCU & TLOU fandom and how it's been trickling down in particular to specific people, me being one of them. The whole point why all of this bullshit started to begin with is because people weren't angry or proactive enough in their allyship towards BIPOC writers and creators on here. We had extensive posts explaining these things, celebrations to uplift BIPOC writers on here, the whole nine yards. And still, we were having the same problem on the backend: racial slurs and bigoted language posted in our inboxes for just bringing these things up, subposts directed towards us, a whole lot of nonsense that just didn't add up. That was the problem.
So yes, when I made that post I was heated and frustrated from nothing in the space being changed, which at this point seems like a lot to ask for. It was worse when a lot of us genuinely did want to have a conversation about these things, or people came to us to learn about how they could be better mutuals & hold space for us. And still, regardless of what we did, how we approached the issue, our tone of voice or who we were directing our attention to, we were still met with vitriol and hateful language we were just told to ignore or block & move on.
I think the biggest issue now when it comes to all of the drama and discourse to begin with is its all being turned into "stan shit" where some users/blogs are idolized and the same goes to people's parasocial relationship towards Pedro Pascal. Like, nobody was making shit up just to start drama, nobody just wakes up one day a hateful bitch and ruins an entire community. If it was that easy for a handful of people to break or ruin an entire online community, then that community had shaky foundation. The anon feature on here is constantly being used to start shit, and I've blocked people, filtered words out, done everything on my end to just avoid that space altogether cause it's obvious I'm not wanted and that's fine, I've made peace with that. But stop saying all of this started cause me and others wanted to cause problems. Cause look, some of us aren't in the community anymore and the problems are still there. Plus, doing things like purposefully agitating the users you have a problem with to start drama for your entertainment, watching who they interact with & their "circle", and patiently waiting for them to post something you can use as a "gotcha" when they're getting dogpiled is pathetic.
The elephant in the room many of you don't want to address is that you'd rather not have any of these issues brought up to begin with. You didn't want to hear about the racism in the fandom and the messages people were getting because it's an inconvenience for you, because having people talk about these things regardless of their approach or feelings interferes with your ability to enjoy things, the same things others, including me, also want to enjoy but don't get to, not fully anyway. This goes beyond just fandom spaces and specific users and confession blogs and online discourse; but many of you want to keep things on a surface level because this online community is all you know, and that's what you'll have to come to terms with. A lot of you also won’t admit to liking drama and the fallout, that’s why you still entertain that confessions page and why you still care about what they’re saying and about who despite everyone telling others to block and keep it pushing.
Anyways, seriously if you have a problem with me personally, which is fine btw I'm not doing this to make amends or change being the villain in anybody's story, then just address me directly instead of instigating drama involving me through my mutual's accounts or that confessions blog that I'm not involved with. Like seriously, this is exhausting, and holding something as trivial as this over my head when I've seen much worse on both ends is ridiculous, but sure. Imma go finish some of these blurbs for Jack Abbot, so that's all I wanted to say.

might get cancelled for this but not like i give a fuck but some of you need to understand tumblr fame means nothing. we're literally posting about pixelated cocks. some of you with superiority complex need to pipe down if you think people here owe you anything or people should worship your presence. and some of you people in the fandom need to stop treating your idol blogs like god on here and make a team to pit against other writers or artists. just because you have huge number of followers does not immediately give you authority to belittle those who don't. i hate to break it to you but no one in their right mind gives a fuck about followers count. have a lovely day and humble yourself.

not to be radical or whatever, but i think that maybe calling women and queer people “pedophiles” for fanfiction is actually not the activism you think it is

Btw adding "oh, haha but not you" as an afterthought after saying "I hate men" to a trans man does not make us feel better. One, you clearly only added it to cover your ass in case we rightfully call you out on it, two, *that still implies to us that we're "outliers" among other men somehow* which is still transphobic, both to us for saying we're somehow ""less"" like men than other men, but also for saying that you want every other trans man to be killed, while knowing we share a community and could be friends with other trans men
(NOT TO MENTION THAT STATEMENT IS INHERENTLY RACIST AND ABLEIST. WANTING TO KILL DISABLED AND/OR MEN OF COLOR IS FUCKED UP AND NOT THE LEFTIST CLAIM YOU THINK IT IS)

I think the whole “my life expectancy is lower?!” Things with autism are getting a bit out of hand. Taking mental health and suicide rates out of this. Because most of these people who are saying it are; mostly if not fully healthy, are low support needs, white, not visibly autistic, etc.
And it kinda makes me upset. Because like, no Brenda. You’re probably going to live a pretty long life compared to the high support needs person who needs 1 on 1 care everyday.
And I think these people don’t realize that most of these studies, are done on higher support needs autistic people. At least most of them are centered around them. Yes, high support needs people do have a lower life expectancy. Why? Because we’re often neglected, killed, die, etc. why? Because of our neglectful caregivers. Because of often comorbid disorders that come along often with high(er) support needs autism. And yes, there is even a study that was done and it went circling around, and people discovered later on that it was about the death rate for high support needs people involving drowning because of their risk of being caught in water. Because there is actual scientific proof that autistic people are attracted to water. And yes, this does lead to autistic people drowning at a higher rate then their allistic peers.
No. Your life expectancy probably isn’t lower, or at least not as low as you think. (Again, taking out mental health aspects).
You know whose life expectancy is lower? Mine. A nonverbal person who relies on a caregiver. A Latino Jew who does look very Jewish. A person who can’t affectively communicate in emergency situations. A person who relies on others. A person who elopes. A person who doesn’t notice cars. That’s me. But even mine probably isn’t as low as other High support needs people.
Mine is lower. But not as low as my HIGH support needs brothers and sisters and siblings who rely solely on other people and don’t get certain things, and are a danger to themselves. To the HIGH support needs people who would eat dangerous things, who would run out of the house and into the street, who are black, who are indigenous, who are POC. Who are neglected. Who live with abusive caregivers. Those are the people with lower life expectancies.

@saturnsatnin HAS STOLEN MY WORK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I wrote this fic for a collab back in early November and this person has decided to steal not only the entire thing, but my requests and drabbles too. I haven’t had a proper look but I am SHAKING with anger. The only thing they changed is the characters involved. I’m not sure if they’ve stolen anyone else’s work, but you know people like this are too lazy and in creative to write their own stuff so please make sure to see if anything of yours has been stolen.
I am FUMING I have no idea what to do in this situation.

Apparently this needs to be said:
Pro-contact ≠ anti-consent.
Neu-contact ≠ anti-consent.
Hazard consent ≠ anti-consent.
Com-contact ≠ anti-consent.
Limited contact ≠ anti-consent.
(Anything outside of anti-contact) ≠ anti-consent.
Hell - a lot of these may not reflect what an individual actually does. The whole "contact" thing does not imply anywhere that someone is contacting their object/individual of attraction unless that is added.
Anti-consent = anti-consent.
Saying a pro-contact individual (I'm not even that. I identify my stance as hazard consent) wants to non-consensually engage with minors shows your own ignorance, especially because that ask was directed at me: a minor and an AAM.
Can we not spread hate in queer communities? Is that too much to ask? This isn't even a discourse blog. This is supposed to be a positivity blog. Imagine getting mad that someone is being validated in their identity...Doesn't reflect very well on your character.

I totally think there is something to be said about trans men/ transmasc individuals who cling onto femininity and feminine presentation and feel like theyre in their one subcategory outside of cis men, making them almost reject masculinity because they don't believe they "can do it". But making fun of them and turning them into a spectacle for mockery isn't right to do in the trans community and I'll be dammed if I let a CIS person of all people criticize such a nuanced internal issue for trans men all because they have this fucking boomer reaction to misgendering someone to omit the guilt of disrespecting someone

I’m not new to this kind of stuff, but it does hurt still. Very much.
tw for racism and racial slurs under the cut
Tumblr media
This was a comment left on the series I was so excited to write and share with y’all. I am excited to write and share. But this comment is not only extremely hateful, it’s also extremely unsettling with how casually they hurled a loaded insult at me.
“Spic” is a very serious thing to call someone. It’s a racial slur that I’ve heard before, had aimed at me before, and it’s not a good feeling.
I preface a lot of fics with detailed tags and warnings. From angst to the reader insert I’d written in more of an OC and formatted like an x reader. I’ve explained a few times while I use English a lot in my daily life, it is not my first language. Pronunciation and some nuances are lost on me but is more noticeable in my academic writing for university.
This is a hobby. This is something I indulge in because it makes me happy and telling stories is the most genuine human thing we do.
To be targeted like this and in the barrage of hateful anons lately really takes the fun out of it. And I hate that that’s my takeaway in an otherwise positive little corner I’ve found here.
I don’t really have anything else to say other than this type of behavior is not okay. It’s demeaning, it’s steeped in ignorance and malice. It makes me feel way too many things and my voice isn’t quite working on the matter beyond this.
I try to keep it positive here, to interact with intention and kindness. With good words and compliments but I feel like something needed to be said about this.
Please block this user and please be kind to one another.

recently encountered a post where someone said "gender is fluid but sexuality isn't". (they were talking about bi lesbians.)
my first thought was: does that person, like. hear what they're saying? how can you explicitly hold two beliefs that are so logically inconsistent and not see it? how can you simultaneously think gender is this fluid and complex thing, but sexuality, much of which is defined around gender, is simple and stationary and its boundaries need policing?
but like, fuck, why even argue against it, right? there is no internal logic because there is no logical thought behind it. these are not genuine beliefs. this person is repeating what is currently acceptable in their (small) specific social circle. this is the same person who, a few years back, would be excluding nonbinary lesbians, but nonbinary lesbians are cool and normal on queer tumblr now, so they'll exclude bi lesbians instead, and not even pause to reflect on the difference.
oh, and if you read this and thought "these people don't even actually accept nb lesbians either", ding ding ding! because it's not a real, deep belief, that acceptance is extremely shallow and conditional. so as soon as someone is an nb lesbian in a way these people find odd (like being both a man and a lesbian) they will exclude them too and find a way to justify it.
why do we have to endlessly go through this cycle with queer identities. can we not? can we just not. i'm tired.

I don't understand how people use delusional as an insult then act like they're not ableist. You know calling people delusional isn't an insult right. You know that it's just further stigmatizing people that do have delusions right.
