Conclusion
Félicitations, vous avez maintenant toutes les clés en main pour réaliser une paella digne des grands chefs espagnols. Suivez nos conseils et astuces, et régalez-vous de ce plat délicieux et convivial qui saura ravir tous les palais.

𝐃𝐎𝐕𝐄'𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 :
Tumblr media
Comfort food(s):
Anything spicy, anything Mexican or Italian cuisine, anything with avocado (including avocado by themselves—lightly salted YUM), anything vegan. But I also love every piece of fruit under the sun. I prefer snacking on fruit than ever to something sugary and full of carbs. I mean fruit DOES have sugar, but it’s the natural kind. I definitely prefer fruits like mango, tangerine, and all the berries—strawberry, blueberry, blackberry raspberry (as long as they aren’t too soft).
Comfort drink(s):
Okay let’s see here. Banana milkshakes. Cider. Cinnamon chai lattes with little star anise pieces to garnish. Anything from Twining’s because that’s my favorite tea brand. Major win if it’s the apple one that I spoke about earlier. Orange juice! Especially the Simply Orange. I have it every weekend with these yummy vegan avocado breakfast bagels that I learned from Madeliene Petsch’s YouTube vid. I love coffee of all types and varieties. In the autumn season I love going to coffee houses and getting their version of a pumpkin spice latte or something seasonal to that effect.
Comfort movie(s):
Okay I am gonna say anything horror. So we have the Scream movies, any kind of vampire movie but especially Bram Stoker’s Dracula (the 1992 one with Oldman and Ryder), I love the vintage Ouija board movies, that are called Witchboard and Witchboard II. I watched the sequel first and fell for it. Let’s see…. The Craft, The Lost Boys, Hocus Pocus, The Witch, Practical Magic, Suspria, The Crucible, The Love Witch. Labyrinth! Like you should see my electronic video collection it’s horrendous. AHHH how could I forget! WUTHERING HEIGHTS MY BELOVED. All The Omen movies! Oh and I love The Nun, and Immaculate was bad ass. I have Killjoy to thank for my new love of Hereditary! I have watched it at least once a month since lol.
Comfort show(s):
There are too many to count here. The first one I am gonna mention is Netflix’s Dracula. I love that rendition, there is nothing I would change and he is exactly as Stoker had in  mind for him: THE DAMN VILLAIN. SOOOO GOOD. But let’s see here: The Vampire Diaries (seasons 1-3), The Secret Circle (please bring it back or I’ll riot), Wednesday, The Originals, American Horror Story. Salem (the one with Mary Sibley where I got MOST inspiration of Nausi’s lore), oh and I love Dracula NBC, that one was honestly so good! But you can’t go wrong with the horror genre. It’s my fave.
Comfort clothing:
My black Victoria Secret track pants and my much-loved sweatshirt that matches perfectly with it. Jeans and oversized hoodies. Tanks and jeans in the summertime! Cute dresses with leather jackets and ankle boots. I love comfort but I also love style tooooo.
Comfort song(s):
Gravedigger by MXMS. Morbid Fasciation  by The Blood Red Shoes. Anything by Ethel Cain. Any and all gothic rock such as Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Cure. I love Bad Omens and Bring Me The Horizon and there are far too many songs to list. I am also a metalcore girl so I love Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains. Seriously I could go on forever.
Comfort book(s):
Wuthering Heights. Dracula. The Vampire Diaries Books 1-4. The Secret Circle Books 1-3. Honestly (mostly) anything from L.J. Smith is fantastic. Deathless. Shadow and Bone. I am a sucker for gothic romances, and nobody can tell me otherwise. Dark poetry such as Segovia Amil and Rupi Kaur. White Oleander. Salt is for Curing. Stephen King. The House of the Seven Gables. There’s also about a thousand books that didn’t make this list but it’s because I am losing brain power.
Comfort game(s):
guys------ lmao. I am not a gamer. I will watch you all play your game of choice. But I will NOT do it. It’s just not my hobby and never has been. But please talk about it, go to town on it, etc.
𝖙𝖆𝖌𝖌𝖊𝖉 𝖇𝖞: @v011d 🖤 𝖙𝖆𝖌𝖌𝖎𝖓𝖌: @he11follows | @ripgray | @damnatore | @roznrot | @likeorpheus | @miercolaes + anyone else that would like to!

This is so random, but what do you think David's favorite recipes to cook and bake are? And what do Lance, AJ and Max like best? I am a sucker for homebody David.
Omg I love this question!
I don't have favorite recipes per se, but I know he loves to bake and he mostly enjoys making sweet stuff and desserts - from anything between a cheesecake and a pavolova. He doesn't cook cuisines like Asian or Mexican, because my boi is not good with spices hehe.
I think in LBAF it's mentioned that David cooks completely different meals for the three of them (we'll see this again in LBAF) because they all have different preferences.
Max needs his protein, so he has to have something with meat in it. Some of faves of David include: Tourtière (it's a meat pie), Empanadas (thank you Achilles for the recipe), Hachis Parmentier (recommend this french dish if you like meat), and of course David's infamous bacon and eggs which he fries to perfection.
Lance is not a picky eater as long as there are potatoes in what he eats. He loves his potatoes. One of his favorite dishes is called Pommes Anna (it's a french one that's basically butter and potato hehe), he also likes tater tots and mashed potatoes. He's an adult who likes eating kids' food and I relate.
Arthur is vegan as we know so David is careful with his food. He loves a good soup, sandwich, or salad that David makes for him. But Arthur is one of those people who eats desserts more than actual meals. Some of his faves are tarts, crepes, cannolis, and of course anything that has chocolate in it. David is very good at these so good for him!

Oh my godddddd. So many sales at the Asian cuisine department????????? Mexican cuisine has 5 items on sale, Mediterranean cuisine 13 items on sale, but Asian cuisine???
46 ITEMS ON SALE?????
And it's 77% off too. It's mostly the vegan and vegetarian noodles which I assume don't sell as well, but this means I can buy months worth of lunch for less than €12

National Chili Day
A hearty meal full of beans and savory meat, topped off with sour cream, cheese, and diced onions — warm, spicy comfort.
Some like it hot, some like it mild, some like it on top of a baked potato and some prefer it with or without beans – but however it is most appreciated, National Chili Day is the perfect excuse for millions of spicy food fans all around the world to chow down on a bowl of this delicious fiery favorite.
History of National Chili Day
Though many people believe chili originated purely in Mexico, modern thinking suggests that it was probably truly created in Texas and is a blend of Native American, Spanish, and Mexican cuisines. This claim is supported by the fact that the first-ever written reference to chili occurred in the city of San Antonio, Texas in 1828. This is just one of the many delicious varieties of food that fall into the category of Tex-Mex.
However, one legend dates chili back a little further, stating that some immigrants who came from the Canary Islands brought the recipe with them to San Antonio when they settled there in the 1700s. This was before the name “chili” came to be and it was simply referred to as “Spanish stew”.
Eventually, by the 1880s, a popular way to eat the dish in San Antonio was by picking up a “bowl o’ red” at a chili stand in an open-air stall, usually run by a “chili queen”. The popularity of chili began to spread throughout the US, and it was given a huge boost when it was featured at the 1893 World’s Fair which took place in Chicago, Illinois.
The dish that is now known as simply “chili” has, in the past, often been referred to as “chili con carne”, which just means chili with meat. Of course, today, many people make it without meat, and it can easily even be made into a vegan dish with no animal products of any kind.
Some people do tend to spell it differently, depending on where they are from. Most Americans will include only one “l” in the word, while some British folks and people from other parts of the world may add an additional letter to spell it “chilli”. But no matter how it is spelled, this is certainly a tasty dish that is worthy of celebration!
National Chili Day Timeline
1828
First written description of Chili
J. C. Clopper writes, after visiting San Antonio, Texas, about “a kind of hash with nearly as many peppers as there are pieces of meat – this is all stewed together.”
1880s
Chili stands become popular in San Antonio
Women who are called “Chili Queens” set up trailers or carts to serve spicy bowls of beans and meat (chili con carne) to workers and passersby on the street, where small tables, seats and lanterns were set up. These last until the 1930s when the health department shuts them down.
1896
Chili powder is invented in Texas
German immigrant William Gebhardt creates a way to pulverize dried chiles using a meat grinder, which eventually becomes the product known as Gebhardt’s Eagle Chili Powder. It’s a critical ingredient in Chili.
1960s
An American president loves chili
Lydon Johnson, president of the United States from 1963-1969, declares that Texas Chili is the best: “One of the first things I do when I get home to Texas is to have a bowl of red. There is simply nothing better.”
1977
Chili becomes the state dish of Texas
As the continuation of its association with Texas, the state’s legislature names Chili the state dish.
How to Celebrate National Chili Day
Though not an official public holiday, National Chili Day is widely celebrated with many restaurants offering free samples of their own unique recipes. Others mark the day with a huge chili party for family and friends – or simply make sure they have a big bowl of chili for lunch!
Try out these fun ideas for celebrating the day:
Make a Big Pot of Chili
Even people who don’t really do much cooking can make a pot of chili to enjoy with a whole group of friends. It really is one of those meals that allows pretty much everything to be thrown into a pot and simmered while the flavors meld together.
A classic chilli recipe usually consists of a protein (often meat as well as beans), some sauce (usually tomato sauce), some veggies (corn, onion and diced tomatoes are typical) and spices for flavor (chili powder, garlic, cayenne pepper, onion powder and paprika). Toss in some jalapenos or other chili peppers for a little bit of kick. Let the whole thing simmer for a while and enjoy!
Learn Some Fun Facts About Chili
Celebrate the day and impress friends by spouting off interesting tidbits about this delicious dish. Get started with these, and then do a bit of internet research to add in a few more, just for fun:
Lyndon B. Johnson, United States President from 1963-1969, was a huge lover of chili and named his favorite recipe after his ranch in Texas, Pedernales River Chili. Americans were so fond of it that his wife, Lady Bird Johnson, had the recipe printed up on cards and mailed out from the White House.
In 1977, lobbyists worked to convince the state legislature to call chilli the official state food of Texas.
In the late 1890s, it was possible to buy a bowl of chili off of the back of a wagon for a mere 5 cents. This even came with an unlimited number of crackers to go along with it–and usually a glass of water too.
The first chili cook-off is recorded to have taken place in 1952 at the State Fair of Texas located in Dallas. But another story says that the first one took place in 1967 in Terlingua, Texas, where no winner was declared–as it was a tie between a native Texan and a person from New York!
Enjoy a Chili Contest
Chili is a food that people love to gather around–and it’s great for competing too! Whether participating in a chili cookoff that pits top chefs against each other, or a chili-eating contest where the winner consumes the most chili in a short amount of time, this is a dish that can be filled with fun.
Today’s chili cook offs can get pretty serious, where contestants often use ingredients that will help them to create the most intense flavor possible. They also try to be unique, using interesting meats such as sausage, turkey or even venison, as well accessing a variety of chili peppers to create just the right amount of heat.
Get into the competitive spirit by participating, or just enjoy watching and rooting for a favorite person to win. Can’t find a chili contest in the local area? Don’t let that get in the way–go ahead and start one in honor of National Chili Day!
Get Creative with Chili Recipes
Getting involved in this day can be a delightful culinary experience! Take things far beyond the ordinary by including unique and interesting ingredients into that pot of chili. While the classic recipes are certainly amazing, these types of ideas get things moving to a whole other level:
Chorizo Sweet Potato Chili. Give that pot of chili a delightful twist using a paleo friendly recipe that is a quick fix (can be on the table in around 30 minutes!). Chopped vegetables and some spicy chorizo sausage are flavors that meld together deliciously.
Short Rib Black Bean Chili. Beginning with short ribs as the protein base, this chili is slow cooked with the bones to add tons of flavor and depth. Mildly spicy, the black beans round out the taste into something delightfully delicious.
Spicy Chocolate Chili (Vegan). Sweet potatoes, maple syrup and cocoa powder work together in this recipe in a surprising way. Filled with beans and veggies, then topped with cilantro, lime and pumpkin seeds, this unique recipe will keep the whole family coming back for more!
Kale and Barley Chili. Keep things super healthy with this chili that is filled with healthy greens. Add some white beans in for extra protein and bulk!
National Chili Day FAQs
When is National Chili Day?
National Chili Day is observed on the fourth Thursday of February, which is the perfect time of year to enjoy a spicy bowl of deliciousness.
Where was Chili invented?
Most likely, the origins of the dish known today as chili came from the southwestern parts of the United States, particularly Texas. Some stories say that the idea was brought from the Canary Islands in the 1700s.
Is Chili a soup?
Because it doesn’t usually use stock or broth, Chili isn’t necessarily considered to be a soup. Actually, it would be considered to be more of a stew because it is thicker, with a more solid base.
Is Chili healthy?
Depending on how it is made, Chili can be a rather healthy meal. It contains nutrients such as protein, fiber, iron, Vitamin C and more. Of course, it’s healthier if it is made with lean meat and less fat.
How to make Chili?
Most Chili recipes will include the basic ingredients of ground beef, beans, onions, tomato sauce, spices and tomatoes. The ingredients are cooked together for some time to allow the flavors to meld together.

Gracias Madre, a popular vegan eatery in San Francisco's Mission District, closed its doors this week after more than a decade due to the city's deteriorating conditions.
"Our mission was always to honor the mothers who give so much to serve, care for and live in hope for their families, especially those of Mexico. It has been an honor to work on behalf of their generosity and sacrifice all these years," a note posted outside the restaurant — and on the web — read in part.
"The condition of life in San Francisco has deteriorated and made running a small business nearly impossible," the note continued.
SAN FRANCISCO CRIME PROBLEM RUNS DEEPER THAN ROSY STATISTICS FROM CITY, EXPERTS SAY
Betty Yu, reporter for CBS News in the Bay Area, quoted Gracias Madre's ex-general manager Joseph Donohueas saying that many people found it "a little bit too dangerous" to visit the restaurant at night due to lack of parking spaces and, if people did manage to find a place to park, the thought of someone breaking into their vehicle kept them on edge.
"So a lot of customers did say that they wouldn't come at night," he said.
Speaking to SFGate, Donohue blamed the "economy" and "the state of the Mission" for its closure. "If you go over a block to Valencia it looks like it’s a completely different city … they’re paying attention to one area and forgetting about the other areas of the city, which is kind of upsetting."
He also said the site never bounced back from damage dealt by the pandemic.
SAN FRANCISCO HAS THE WORST PANDEMIC RECOVERY IN THE NATION AS THE CITY IS MIRED IN CRIME, HOMELESSNESS: STUDY
The popular restaurant served organic and vegan fare priding itself on serving "traditional Mexican cuisine, made from scratch using local, organic, plant-based ingredients," according to its website. The restaurant reportedly opened in 2009, although the note to customers said there were closing their doors "after 16 years."
Gracias Madre's two other locations in California — West Hollywood and Newport Beach — remain open for now.
Fox News Digital reached out to Gracias Madre for additional comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
Crime has also wreaked havoc on Cafe International in the Golden City, forcing it to close short-term — for a week — after owner Zahra Saleh posted on social media that she needs time to "rest, think and regroup" her "violated state of mind" after witnessing so much crime in the area.
SAN FRANCISCO MAYOR FIRES BACK AFTER ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ CALLS HER CITY'S DOWNTOWN ‘DANGEROUS’: REPORT
"Daily shoplifting, extortion coupled with a propensity of violence, back to back break-ins and thousands of dollars in debt for property damages," she wrote on Instagram. "My Lower Haight is sinking in sea of lawlessness and the ship captains and politicians are bickering among each other, blaming each other in a d--- size measuring contest while small businesses suffer…"
"We are currently on our own…" Saleh continued.
As many businesses flee the crime-ridden city, she remains determined to stay behind, finishing her statement with, "I need to think of something. I will not leave my city."
Last September, Tom Wong, who owned a private security firm in San Francisco, told "Fox & Friends First" he had also had enough of crime and homelessness in the city.
"My business was robbed. It was broken into, and my equipment was robbed. My vehicle was constantly being broken into," he said.

Since you love cows, are you a vegan/vegetarian? Or do you still eat meat and animal products just not cow meat/cow products?
i do still eat meat/beef since a lot of the things my mom cooked while i was growing up featured it and its pretty heavily present in mexican cuisine- but i have an incredibly picky palate regarding beef and animal products in general because, for a lot of it, the texture just gets to me- straight off the bat i dislike 99% of cuts of beef and beef products like tallow. i don't like to be wasteful with food but i'm utterly incapable of eating the parts of chicken or beef that have stringy connective nerves, tissue, tendons, etc (except for oxtails). so i don't like most parts of chicken (even breasts are iffy), i only really eat really finely minced or ground up beef/chicken.
i don't eat pork at all though not for religious reasons its that i genuinely don't like the taste and the fact that pigs will genuinely eat anything including human corpses just makes something in my brain twitch.
i like fish! well actually i like salmon, i haven't really tried other types of fish except maybe tilapia but salmon is by far my favorite.
the only 'meat' i think i genuinely enjoy is goat though that's a 'special occasions' meat like christmas! it's genuinely one of the best tasting foods in the world!
