A lot, meaning everyone asks you. Why choose Gen? An irresponsible captain who has such an attitude and is careless, but what they haven't seen is Gen's soft side. He makes sure you are okay. He cannot focus on anything unless you are safe. Once on a Kaiju mission when you got injured. Gen stayed up all night. Not touching his games or electronics once, as he needed to take care of you and make sure you were safe. Not letting you go on a mission unless you are recovered.

Even if he is loyal. He is the most jealous person ever. He knows your beauty and your aura, which makes people gravitate towards you. So, he makes sure to have you near him at all times, not letting you even talk to a guy in peace.

Romantic Zevlor Headcanons

This sad old man is incredibly traditional in the sense of romance. He plans dates to the very hour, brings flowers, cleans himself up nicely, kisses the top of his partners hand and offers his arm as they walk; the perfect man to date! He's also very experienced.

I would say he's not shy about romance, but definitely reserved. He didn't have time for it once he became a Hellrider, it pulled all his focus in. After his oath is broken and he got cast out from Elturel with the other refugees, that also pulled his focus away from even considering a relationship.

When everything is finally calm, he doubts that anyone would even want him in this stage of his life. He's an old, tired man and he made his peace with it. Then his partner comes along and throws him in for a loop! He starts to feel alive again.

He plans dates out strategically, but would not stress out if something doesn't go according to plan. He can easily go with the flow. If his partner is stressed out however, he would give them a kiss on the forehead and say something along the lines of "It is all right, my love. Let us try something else."

Quality time is important to him. His favorites are long walks! The beach, forest, a meadow, some hills, a hike, he loves to get moving! And it's even better with a partner where they can talk about anything and everything while in the privacy of nature. It's wonderful! If his partner prefers to stay home though, he's completely content with sitting by the fire.

His main love language is absolutely acts of service! He loves taking care of his partner and doing things for them. He makes food for them, patches their clothes, and makes sure their things are organized the way they like it. This man also gives some of the best massages!

Zevlor has been through quite a bit, so of course he would have nightmares about a multitude of things! Especially regarding his fuck up in the Shadow Cursed Lands. He doesn't quite wake up in a cold sweat since he's used to them, but they still startle him awake sometimes. He's not afraid to ask for help from his partner if nights are a struggle for him.

On that point, he's a fantastic communicator! If anything is bothering him, even if he's embarrassed, he will discuss it with his partner. He personally does not like being kept in the dark about what his partner is feeling, so why would he do that to them? It benefits no one. If his partner needs more time to figure out their words, he will absolutely give it, but there is no hiding anything from him.

His kisses are usually gentle, and he loves holding his partner's face in his hands while doing so! He's incredibly tender in everything he does involving them, but he also loves to tease! When he kisses the top of their hand, he'll kiss up their arm to their neck and eventually their face, littering pecks all over. Bonus points if his partner is ticklish, he enjoys their laughs and giggles as it brings him genuine joy.

If his partner is a tiefling or a tailed dragonborn, he absolutely would link his tail with theirs in a private setting. Usually he prefers to have his tail out of the way, especially in public, but when it's just the two of them he uses his tail pretty freely. This is because he finds tail-holding very intimate.

He doesn't mind public display of affection in other ways though! Hand holding, wayward pecks, sitting close, hugs, he loves it all. Sitting in his lap may get him flustered though, especially if his partner is very forward in their affection! Sometimes he feels as though his heart will give out with how fast it beats (maybe he's too old for this after all).

Zevlor isn't used to being taken care of at all, usually he's the one doing all the caring. When his partner starts doing it his head practically reels in shock, not expecting it to feel so nice. He doesn't outwardly ask for it but brushing his hair and massaging the tension out of his hands is something he adores. His partner always receives a 'thank you' kiss.

He knows how to dance, which can surprise people! Slow dancing is his preferred style, and he'll bring his partner in for a slow sway when they're alone. No music is needed in these intimate moments, his lover is all he wants anyways.

Catnap isn't one to go out of his house much. It is either to lay down on a tree and sleep the day away or lay down on any surface that he finds. So, he is quite fond of Bobby because she's the only one who wouldn't complain about his sleeping habits. I mean, sure, she gets quite down whenever Catnap doesn't come along to the group for something fun, but unlike people like Dogday, Kickin, or Hoppy, she would actually encourage his need for sleep as she is aware he does it for his own self-love (in some strange way).

Catnap would TOTALLY randomly slump onto the floor on purpose and act passed out for Bobby to get worried and carry him into his bed. Why, do you ask? Because she ALWAYS. And I mean, ANYWAYS give a forehead kiss before going. Earning a purr from the cat.

They are all on with PDAs. ALL the time. Every second of it. But that's just because Bobby is the one to start it and Catnap is the one to just melt into it.

Catnap was always very laidback in many times. Tired much, soft-spoken, never really got anybody or anything for that matter. But often times he would get a bit pissy about how Bobby's mushy attitude is to everyone around them. He may not be a jealous typo, not at all, but he can feel a bit detached from Bobby's love from seeing her much more active than he is. So whenever THAT happens, he gives her the ice treatment. And oh boy, ain't that TORTURE for Bobby. The ONE girl who adores hugging and loving others more than anything else in the world is being given the cold shoulder is something worth weeping for. So whenever that happens, Catnap quickly regrets it and makes it up to her by spending the night with her.

Not surprisingly enough, I always headcanon Bobby having attachment issues (which would explain the last headcanon) so whenever she is also she sends as many love letters to Catnap as she can, even though half of the time is given back due to Catnap not being good with words, it eases her to know he is at least reading it

Bobby would pretty much spoil Catnap ROTTEN! In exchange? Catnap would probs call her "little Rosie". Now, you can imagine her kicking her feet, squirming and going absolutely NUTS for that small compliment.

They both like cuddling a lot, while also watching old Disney movies.

Reading Little Lucky AU while being on Thriller Bark has me rolling just imagining a small child running around. One who's seen enough crazy stuff go down to maybe not even think zombies or talking skeletons are that scary in the first place. Either that or she acclimates pretty quickly since everyone (+ I imagine she'd be with the main party rather than Nami/Usopp/and Chopper?) who's not freaking out over everything is with her.

If she were to somehow get caught (the group is rampaging even worse than before) Perona finding them the cutest thing ever. Then getting absolutely offended when her silly laugh gets called out. I imagine Moria only laughs more if she does the same to him. while Hogback (if Lucky calls it out in a nicer way like saying she likes their laughs because they're silly) asks Chindry why she can't be more like that only to get the meanest comment yet and Lucky is like, "that's not nice 😡" and it suddenly becomes a fight between Perona and Hogback on who gets the shadow. Perona may have been offended, but she's freaking adorable and Hogback needs at least one person who'll be nice to him in the mansion lmao. The only reason I could see absalom wanting the shadow is to maybe try distracting Lola from actively chasing him with the idea of a child but I also don't think he'd want to add fuel that that fire so he'd maybe make a gross comment about when she's older but, like in your Strays AU post, Perona would kick his ass for it.

I almost wonder if Moria might be hesitant to take a kid's, especially such a small ones, shadow. Doesn't seem like it'd make a very useful underling and honestly, it's not the most boring thing in the world having a kid around (Moria taking care of and playing with a young Perona makes my heart melt it's so cute) and the others can always take care of anything he's too lazy to. Plus, if she ever starts whining about missing her old crew, they can just round up the zombies with their shadows, kid probably won't know the difference. So... yea. Not like she can cause much of any harm anyway.

And suddenly, Lucky has control over her own little zombie hoard that aren't exactly top fighters but will at least keep her away from the Srawhats. Honestly, the zombies hoard at her beck and command is probably the only reason she isn't actively demanding the Strawhats shadows back 24/7. It's like a bunch of new friends to play with and Perona lets her play with her cute zombies and throws a pretty sweet tea party, so at least she's safe?

I also love Kaku kidnapping her while being like, "I may commit terrible atrocities, but this is clearly child endangerment." Peak content 😂

I haven't finished that arc yet, but I have a couple of ideas rolling around for it

I also am leaning towards her being in the main party, great minds think alike I suppose. When Lucky doesn't know how to react to something, her first go to is to see how Luffy is reacting and go from there, so she's honestly having a great old time. If Luffy isn't scared, she won't be either.

Perona absolutely snatches her up. She loves cute things, and the second that Little Lucky calls one of her ghosts cute, she's making plans to go get her.

I'm imagining this interaction between Perona and Moria where she strolls in and asks where he keeps all of her old clothing from when she was a kid. That is how children are typically acquired in his experience. The clothes are in that closet over there, have fun you two!

I am going to give Absalom a tiny bit of credit and say that I don't think he would make a pass at a four year old, but he may approach her to ask if she wants to be the flower girl at his and Nami's wedding. Perona would reluctantly agree to this because he has a point, she would make an adorable flower girl.

Little Lucky is demanding to know why Nami didn't tell her she was getting married, and Nami has to find a child-friendly way to explain that she is here against her will. Sanji comes in and has to take a couple of minutes to take pictures of Little Lucky in her flower girl dress before getting down to business and beating the shit out of Absalom.

I think it would be funny to let Little Lucky have an all around fun time in Thriller Bark to contrast how shitty it goes for adult Lucky in Lucky Break.

And yes, Kaku may be an assassin, but he has standards lmao

I'm new here. (Well to your tumblr and twitter accounts). And I just wanted to, like, tell you I enjoy your writing.

I literally binge-read your Surrender (whenever you're ready) and Something (just like this) fanfics in two and a half nights. I have never, absolutely ever, in all my years reading fanfiction, actually reading fiction at all, read such gorgeous stories. The way you write both Izuku and Bakugou - Bakugou especially and his relationship with Weeds(which still has me squealing days after) - has me on a chokehold. And the whole plot for both is so- well-written and moving and just sweet. (I ADORE Haruto and Hitomu+Yua from their respective fanfictions alot too).

(This also led to me binging all your other fanfictions😊😅<3)

I have so so many emotions about it, good ones, but my hands get stuck and I don't know how to type them out. But...

Hitomu walking past Weed’s flower shop while out with Miki, or on the search for a specific comic or something. Yua and Haurto seeing the same trauma counsellor, in some non-descript office in a part of the city they’d never otherwise be in. I know I’m answering this a little late, but did you know that yesterday—May the 5th—was Children’s Day in Japan? On the tail end of Golden Week. 🎏✨🥹 Kids in parks and temples everywhere, bright carp kites/flags… I like imagining the festivities being patrolled by brightly-coloured superheroes, like Deku, who’s just so grateful he can be there. Bakugou, who gets accosted by kids with paper hats made in his colours, or something. Haru playing with other kids in a park while Weeds sits on a bench as Akane gossips and her daughter tells her to stop, LOL. Yuachan with her parents, her mum holding her hand tightly as they move through the crowds. 🥺 Hitomu and Miki are out with Miki’s friends, looking at comics or shopping on some bright street while they argue about the latest boy band Miki likes, LOL. And Scribbles is half a city away, sitting in the studio with the door open for the spring sunshine, waiting for Deku’s patrol to end.

You’re so sweet, Lady. 🥺 I kept ahold of this ask longer than I should’ve because it felt like a token. 🥹 Warding off the wobbles. The first time Princess sleeps at Joe's place: he buys a calming air freshener and those dryer balls to make his sheets as soft as possible so that she sleeps well and stays again, texts her reminders of what to pack, closely watches her night routine in case he gets the opportunity to assist in the future, holds her jaw (and does that thumb rub) to apply her lip balm, and has her stuffy give her a cheek kiss goodnight. He stays up for a bit after she falls asleep, propped up on an elbow and stroking her cheek, to look at her in his bed (but in a not creepy way); it took her a while to fall asleep because she kept shifting to get even closer to him and stealing one last look at her pretty boy.

Petal and The Baby's Breath - Steve Rogers

Summary: For Week 4 of @the-slumberparty's Across The Universe Challenge I came up with Florist!Steve and Tattoo Artist!Bucky now I couldn't pick between either one so I've created an AU for the two of them with separate nicknamed female!readers. It's going to be Steve x Petal and Bucky x Cupcake. This is the second part of the multipart AU called Stencils, Bouquets & Icing.

The neon sign flickers in the peripheral. Then stabilises, it reads ‘open’ with the O being shaped into a flower petal. 

Steve smiles at the sign, he absolutely adored it. The keys jiggle when he places them back against his hip. Scent of flowers greet him on his way to the cash register. 

Setting up for the day before he grabs the bucket and mop to clean up. A few appointments scheduled and three pickups. 

It would be comical at some point seeing a man of his structure, tall and muscled working on flowers. After the years he’s had Steve admires how delicate he can be with his calloused hands. 

The workstation is prepped and he brings in the flowers for the first heart shaped box arrangement. Lilies and daisies were requested. Along with a a scanned handwritten note placed onto the box. 

Steve’s humming is interrupted by the bell. 

“I'm along the aisle with the pink flowers at the front!” He calls out not looking away from the placement. 

Footsteps traverse along then a throat clears, his eyes meet ones that are trained on the box. You look up at him. His breath catches in the slightest. 

A smile takes over his features but you don’t reciprocate but his doesn’t falter. 

“Hi.” He greets. 

“Are you, Steve?” You ask, gesturing towards him. 

He watches your sleeve ride up and lines start at your wrist moving upwards, “I am, yeah.” 

“Bucky Barnes sent me. He wants his arrangement?” You inform and he nods, humming as he moves to the side out of view behind the floral divider. 

A few things move around, Steve’s hidden behind a large arrangement of sunflowers and baby’s breath.

“Will you be able to carry it? It's a glass vase. I told the punk to come and collect it himself.” He lowers it meeting your eyes yet again, it fascinates him how even amongst the dominant colour of them he finds specs of lighter shades. He has the sunlight to thank for that. 

You stare at the man, well Steve. You didn’t expect him to be this beefy man surrounded by flowers. Nor did you expect him to radiate sunshine that he’s surrounded with from the windows. 

When Steve frowns, your thoughts halt, why is the smile gone? 

“Oh um, I just have to take it to the tattoo shop. He said he was running late and you may have to go for some on-site thing? I don’t know… seemed very preoccupied.” You reason, shrugging, reaching for the vase. 

Steve’s hands are brushed by yours as the exchange happens. You take a deep inhale feeling the full weight. 

“The shops just down the road, I can—,”

“No, I can do it. Shop has automated doors and Dum Dum’s inside and yeah.” You cut him off. 

Steve purses his lips but then offers you a smile yet again, how the fuck is the room brightening the fuck up?

Your heart beats rapidly when he steps closer, something tells you it's not just because of the heavy vase. 

“Alright well, I’ll open my door, it's not automated.” Steve wants to smack himself. Of Course you know that. You entered the shop. 

“Thanks.” You nod, turning around and trying not to drop the arrangement. 

“You’re the new apprentice, right?” He asks, as he opens the door. 

You carefully step down, but your footing falters, Steve’s arm wraps around your waist. He steadies you. 

“Y-yeah. Thanks um, for yeah.” You stammer out. 

“No worries, you sure you can carry it, petal?” 

“My name isn’t, I’m Y/N—,” You pause when he looks at your head. 

“No, I um,” he reaches forth and plucks out the sunflower petal from the top of your head. 

“Right.” You nod, swallowing. You turn trying to speed walk back to the safety of the tattoo shop. 

Steve watches as you cross the abandoned shop between his and Bucky’s units. Till you head into the shop. He turns, heading back to the heart shaped bouquet he had to finish in an hour. 

He makes a mental note to pop by Bucky’s a little more often than he usually does, preferably when the brunette is off to his daily fixing of cake and coffee. 

Bucky walks over to you after a few days empty vase in hand.

You raise a brow. 

“Steve will come by later to collect it, I have the back tattoo client so I won’t be out.” 

“Did she like it?” You enquire while setting the newer designed vase to the floor so it doesn’t get knocked over. 

Bucky grins, then bites his lip as if to stop his happiness. 

On instint your eyes move towards the window that harboured the view to Cherry On Icing, “You have it bad, Boss.” 

He only dreamily sighs in response, “She loved them.” 

“He does, if only he would spit it out to her.” Dum Dum agrees from his station. 

Bucky shakes his head, “Old man you still look at your wife with the same loved up look from the wedding photograph. What are you teasing me for?” 

“What can I say? She’s still the fierce and stunning lady I fell in love with in my younger days.” He turns and regards you with a look that has you flounder. 

“Your generation doesn’t want to speak up at all about the way they feel. Just pine pine pine.” He continues to grumble. 

You look away, fingers drumming along the edge of the counter. Your gaze moves to Bucky. He looks down at his palms, gloves on. 

“Sometimes all we can do is pine.” He mutters before heading into the back area. 

A few hours later you look up from the design you were sketching for an upcoming consultation just as Steve beams at you from outside. 

“Hey,” Steve finds himself happier seeing you, he hadn’t seen you in a few days and a part of him missed you. 

“Hi.” You look back down at the sketch. 

“That looks good.” He praises. 

“It’s just a rough sketch…” you shrug off the praise. 

He hums in disapproval, you frown. 

“It doesn’t seem to be just a rough sketch.” He adds after noticing your expression. 

“I really want him to like my work, he’s one of few artists who I actually look up to.” You look at Steve, his smile is now softer and more fond for his best friend.

“It took him hard work and practice to get where he is, I’m sure if you have a similar approach towards being a hardworking person, you will succeed.” 

You ponder over his words, raising your non-dominant hand’s sleeve. Pointing out to a small tattoo of a wave inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's Under the Wave off Kanagawa. 

Then you take it higher to show him a similar tattoo that is much more refined than it’s former one, near perfect and the shading work is incredible. 

“I kept the first one too, even if it's shit. Always remember where I started from and this one reminds me of what I can do.” You roll the sleeve down. 

Steve nods, “You’re on the right track, Petal. Maybe one day you can ink me as well.” 

“You have tattoos?” The words leave your mouth with  breathless curiosity. He looks around in search and you recall the vase. 

You bend to retrieve it, Steve smiles yet again. 

“I do. Several by Bucky, Dum Dum and a few collected during travel.” He chuckles when you stare at him, “What the florist can’t have a tattoo? You wound me Petal.” 

The brightness in his eyes tells you he’s only teasing. You shake your head and roll your eyes at him. 

“Well, I’ll be on my way.” He taps the vase and turns away. 

“Bye Steve.” You look back down at the iPad, opening a new blank page to sketch upon. Something about the conversation sparked your creative flow. Maybe you could design something inspired by Steve. 

You wouldn’t share it, maybe just keep it tucked away, label it as Sunshine Man or something in relation to the brightness he brings in whenever he’s around you. 

“You know what?” You look up at him, his blond hair ruffles slightly in the wind as he stands between the door. 

“What?” You ask, ideas spinning in your mind as his neckline dips to the side and you catch the smidge unfamiliar ink on his chest. 

Steve shakes his head; wondering if he’d come off too strong. He needs to give it time, maybe allow you to know each other better. 

“I’ll ask you soon enough.” He waves at you, you do the same as he walks the path back to his shop. 

“Punk.” 

“Jerk.”

“Idiot.”

“Stupid.”

“Do they always greet each other this way?” You ask Dum Dum. He nods, looking back at the stencil he was sketching.

You look down at your own design, it has been almost a month into being here. You learned alot from Bucky and saw Steve almost daily. He always would make it a point to greet you and smile at you. Today seemed no different as he made his way to your station. 

Small conversations, always complimenting your work. 

Your craft was growing, hands steadier but there were still ways to go, currently you were working on a design to add to your own sleeve that Bucky would ink onto you. 

You wondered why amongst your mostly geometric preference florals began to bloom?

The answer was closer than you had believed, 

“Hi, Petal.” He grins, much to your chagrin the nickname stuck around. 

Your eyes lift to his baby blues and then to the tip of his ear. Standing up you reach for the tiny floret of baby’s breath stuck near his ear. 

A flush spreads across his cheeks as he sputters out a thank you. You twirl the flower between your thumb and index finger, the design completing itself in your mind. 

“Should I start calling you baby’s breath?” You tease, a half smile dancing on your lips. 

“Is that a smile I finally earned?” Steve knows his cheeks are red and your smile only warms his chest further. 

You laugh, “Only if I get to call you with a floral nickname.” 

“It's a bit of a mouthful.” He comments. 

“I prefer to have my mouth full.” You reply and Steve stares at you. 

The entire scenario in his mind shifts, from absolute softness to absolute filth. He leans against the workstation, then further, lips close to your ear. 

“Careful what you ask for Petal, may not be able to take it all.” Steve hears your breathing falter, he smugly grins, “But then again, I think you will take it all won’t you like a good girl?” 

His palm slides forward across your station, you look at his palm, he had placed it upon the cleaning rag that was still sort of wet and now gliding him forward. Shit. 

“Uh oh.” Steve loses his balance, taking you down with him, but he turns you in time to land on top of him. 

You groan as your forehead smacks against his cheekbone. He hisses. 

Dum Dum and Bucky peer over the counter. 

“You alright there?” Your boss enquires and you rub your forehead. 

“Yeah I guess, um.” You look at Steve to make sure he’s okay. 

“Yep, alright.” He smiles at you then winces, “Okay my cheek hurts.” 

“Sorry.” You mumble, carefully moving and he sits up with you. 

With the softest of touches you inspect the blooming redness, “Wait here.” You instruct him, with a pointed look and your index finger touching his jaw. 

“Petal—,” his protest dies when you pretend to cover your ears and walk away to the kitchenette area. 

Bucky chuckles and Steve shoots him a glare. 

Dum Dum rolls his eyes, “Just ask her, you oaf.” He chastises and Steve finds that his palms are very interesting. The older man shakes his head walking away. 

Bucky snickers and Steve shows him the finger that makes him guffaw. 

You eye your boss with curiosity but then as you peer out the window you know he would be rendered speechless in a few moments. 

“Okay now this might feel bad and then good.” You tell him, lightly placing the ice pack to his cheek. Steve winces then sighs as the cold takes away some of the sting. 

The pneumatic hiss has Steve turn his gaze to the door. 

“Watch how Bucky melts.” You whisper adjusting so the both of you have a good view. 

It was the baker and owner from the opposite side of the tattoo shop, her name was something else but you only could remember her as—

“Cupcake?” Bucky’s gaze widens when she enters and he fumbles to fix his hair. 

Steve chuckles and Bucky shoots him a glare. Then grins when he turns back to her. 

“Hi,” She says, holding up a package in her shop’s delivery box, “Um, you never um, cameby I thought you might be busy. I, I know it was just a little delay but—,”

“Oh no, I was on the way but Steve here fell for—with Y/N.” Bucky explains and your brows furrow at his slip up, turning to the man in question. 

“I um,” Steve’s hand covers yours. 

“Got your mouth full, baby’s breath?” You tease. 

“Plan to keep you full.” He counters, he notes how your pupils dilate, “However,”

Your chest deflates, maybe you shouldn’t have developed the crush on the sweet florist next door. 

“I’d like to take you on a date first.” Steve grins and you reward him with one of your gorgeous smiles. 

“I’d love that very, very much.”
