GUARGHHH H H H H H H I LOVE IT WHEN CHARACTERS FIGHT IN WAYS THAT ONLY PERTAIN TO THEM. MY FAVORITE THING IS WHEN THEIR BODY IMPACTS HOW THEY FIGHT AND HOW THEY’RE ABLE TO FIGHT. WHEN CHARACTERS USE THEIR PHYSICAL TRAITS TO GAIN THE UPPER HAND IN A BATTLE IT MAKES ME GO CRAZY.

imagine being an engineer so you make your own robot lover. but you dont really. know its ur lover yet.

you get to chat with it allll day and upgrade it whenever you want with the newest things... but it starts feeling so. intimate.

since when was getting your fingers on their wires so sensual? feeling the code and electricity running through them.. knowing that this - all of this - is all your creation? when did that become so nice to know?

you take pride in your creations, yeah, but maybe pride isnt the word you would find the robot trying to convey.

is it more lust?

when the little beeps become louder, the fan inside its torso powering itself harder when you touch specific components, seeing the limbs twitch and jerk as you play with the wires... its easier to get lost in the reactions than it is to focus on actually upgrading the thing.

it doesnt help the fact when their little charging stand is in your room. it used to be in the office. why did you bring it up here? maybe because you wanted it closer. maybe because you wanted it to see what youre doing on a more personal level. it *is* your creation anyway. maybe you moved it because you *need* to pull it into your bed sometimes.

then the charging stand turns into a small cable that detaches automatically when the robot is done charging. you can pull it into bed easier, feel the whirring under your fingertips, keep it and yourself warm with the blanket...

the need for warmth turns into the need for a little bit of pleasure. just a little.

grinding never hurt anyone, right?

especially not when the metal is just so smooth. when their own fingertips and palms come up to meet your own skin. when they start guiding you along.

when did they even get to learn this type of stuff?

warning, this contains: mentions of death, blood, gore pairing: newt x reader summary: you just lost a friend to a griever, and newt is trying his best to comfort you.

you were a runner - which newt hated, but he couldn't do much about it. being a runner had its risks. a lot of them. but a person can handle the deaths of people you've known most of your time here, blood, stress, anxiety and physical draining for a certain time. today seemed to be your breaking point, when your best friend was ripped to shreds by the griever's robotic claws. bones and organs that should've been hidden under his skin and muscles were revealed, leaving you to watch in shock as the griver tore off his limbs inbetween his agonizing screams.

when you made your way back into the glade, your legs gave up on you when you stepped foot on the grass. falling to your knees, you also burst into tears. newt was the first one to notice you.

he kneeled down infront of you, his hand making its way to your shoulder. "y/n? hey, hey- breathe, hm? in, out, come on."

your chest was heaving, still out of breath from running so fast. that, and the fact that the boy you've grown attached to was dead, somewhere in the maze, laying in a pool of his own blood, with detached limbs.

eventually, you calmed down. only to break down again when newt asked, "what- what's going on? what happened?"

he sighed, realizing you wouldn't be exactly able to tell him what happened. squeezing your shoulder, he said, "we don't have to talk about it, i promise. but i'm here if you want to talk about it, okay?"

you nod, looking up at him. "i'm sorry," you sob.

"no, no, no, don't be. c'mere," he whispered, pulling you into a quick hug - only if twenty minutes is considered quick. he looked at you again, holding you close to him as you sobbed into his shirt.

that night, newt offered to let you stay in his hut, just in case you didn't want to be alone. cuddled up against him, you still couldn't manage to tell him what it was that happened. newt didn't ask questions. he let the subject go - if you wanted to talk about it, you would on your own, if you didn't want to, he wouldn't force you to tell him. but everyone figured that something happened when the runner didn't ever come out of the maze. only that you were the only one who saw that something happen.

the next morning, you woke up, only to realize you slept in. while laying on newt's chest. your legs still hurt from yesterday, and your throat is sore from crying so much.

newt noticed you shift slightly, and he loosened his hold on you.

"morning, love," he whispered, kissing the top of your head.

"morning," you whisper back.

his voice was quiet, almost silent when he asked, "feeling better?"

you nod, "mhm. thank you."

"anything for you," newt said softly, "go back to sleep, okay?"

"what about the maze? i was supposed to run today."

"you're not running today. you slept in, anyway," he murmured, "i promise, i'll take care of everything. just relax."

"you'll stay, right?" you ask. you weren't sure why, but you needed the reassurance that he'd be there with you if you had a nightmare about the whole thing that happened yesterday. he always was, but you wanted him to say it. just to make sure.

"of course. always," he promised, pecking your forehead one last time before your drifted off to sleep again.

so i may not be as much into fnaf now as i used to when i was younger but ive always been baffled that nobody has made a dinosaur themed fnaf fan game?? i may just be autistic for these sillies but i love the concept of it so much :D it makes sense for me because dinosaurs are popular with kids and popular in horror and irl there are a lot of dinosaur animatronics. so my concept here is that somewhere in utah fazbear entertainment collaborated with a fictional museum to make an educational dinosaur themed restaurant! also every dino robot is a species that can be found in utah! So first we have Utahraptor. It was made to show off more birdlike theories and was given a voicebox that can record voices to repeat them back like those toys that do it but due to being haunted can mimic voices. they slowly stalk the player and intentionally mess with them, toying with their prey. (this was made before the mimic lmao)

Next is Camarasaurus! this animatronic is HUGE and in a kid's cove type area all to itself. because its so big the engineers only made its neck, head and tail robotic while its body is a plastic frame. At night it detaches its neck/head from its body and slithers through the vents. also here's a plushie of little dude!

Next is Diabloceratops. this one is the most haunted and possibly possessed by a demon. its body moves in unnatural ways and it frequently will move with its limbs on backwards or upside down. it also has some kind of strange parasite type thing in it similar to ennard spaghetti. this design is probably my favorite and the one that freaks me out the most, inspired by the not-deer cryptid and demonic possession.

And lastly the only withered animatronic, Akainacephalus ! :D they are inspired by slinky toys and poltergeists. this guy has a fnaf 2 puppet type role in the cast and sits right outside the office and doesn't move much unless its activated. i dont have much lore for them yet but i still love little dude! I also plan to add Ceratosaurus, Tenontosaurus, and Stegosaurus!

There is also Archie! He is an Archaeopteryx and the only member of the cast who is not found in Utah and is the education mascot of the museum :D he has an almost helpy like role and only shows up on posters, art, screens and as a plushie. :D

I dont know if this game will ever come out but i wanted to share my concept somewhere on the internet :D

undertale yellow vengeance au mew mew (UNDERTALE YELLOW SPOILERS AHEAD)

id also like to note real quick: asks ARE open if anyone has anything theyd like to ask about the au

with undyne taking up the throne after asgores murder, the royal guard would be left with an opening for her position.

question is: whos the best fit to take it? the dogs, despite their rank and despite the undergrounds more negative tone from asgores death and the souls being stolen, are still too playful to really fit the role of Fearsome And Commanding Captain... red, without martlets push, joined a little too late to get the chance to prove herself as a potential captain, and probably wouldnt have the same ambition for the guard as she usually does, getting to know the rest of the guard less due to the atmosphere... and papyrus...undyne would never let it happen.

without many potential candidates left....what about undynes own training dummy?

a little different than undynes used to, coming across her new body sooner than usual due to undynes leave, and the general sense of emptiness following that until she spots it

but once shes acquainted with the body and challenges herself to undyne, id bet shed end up being a surprise pick (so in this au, she is)

maddy shares the violent passion undyne has, she has experience training with undyne,

...and of course it helps that her cool new body is robotic and can support attaching various forms of weaponry. that might give her just a bit of an edge. who knows.

her body in this au also isnt the exact same mew mew animatronic as it is in canon. its BUILT from it, but due to the undergrounds situation, alphys reluctantly decided to bite, and heavily modified the oversized doll, with the help of some generous inspiration (stolen blueprints) from the old security bot prototypes in the steamworks, after being permitted to investigate them once monsters realized it had mysteriously been turned on.

so maddy is now combat-ready, her body being faster, more durable, easily modifiable, AND strategically detachable and reattachable (the limbs, that is, her idea). and of course, still cute, maddy was very insistent that it stays cute

its unclear how many weapons shes currently hiding, but whenever shes asked, she just maniacally laughs. ...so no one ever asks...

she also prefers the title of "admiral" over captain, which undyne allows. as far as the guards concerned, its the same thing.

she also directly oversees papyrus' watchmen duties, as per undynes request, and the two end up hanging out fairly often whenever she has spare time since maddy doesnt really have anyone else whos available, and papyrus has no issues with her (hes Very hard to displease), plus nothing really happens, at least until clover pursues frisk out of the ruins.

thats about all ive got. honestly i cant think of many other major character stuff for the au, so the last character post could be clover (and frisk, double feature, why not) whenever i decide to make that, unless that changes. im not sure if ill make any big posts surrounding locations, but i do have some small ideas for minor new locations to go with the other changes, so we'll see if i ever bring those up.

for now though, other than asks if anyone has any, im probably gonna be a bit quiet on this au since im currently in other, very unrelated interest swings, like risk of rain :p

BEHOLD THE MORE FLESHED OUT CHAPTER II: THE EXPERIMENT.

Chapter 2: The Experiment

Fascinated speaks aloud about theory. Suggests that the "Princess" must be some form of augmented lifeform. With internal cybernetic enhancements to prevent her from needing to eat and surpressing the pain receptors in her nervous system.

Narrator is horrified at what the Fascinated is creating through belief. Tries to assure everyone she is just a princess and not a cyborg.

Hero appreciates the observant nature of the Fascinated.

Fascinated expresses eagerness at returning to the cabin to further make observations of the Experiment. Suggests a live vivisection to see how many of her organs have been replaced with augmentations.

Narrator chastises Fascinated, says to only kill not study. Reminds everyone she is just a princess.

Hero is unnerved at the Fascinated detached and dehumanizing way of speaking about the princess. Tries to remind Fascinated of her humanity.

Fascinated denies the princesses humanity and insults the Hero for being concerned about someone who just murdered us.

Cabin interior resembles office building waiting room. (In reference to Resident evil series) with a small filing cabinet in the corner of the room, the Pristine Blade on top of it.

Fascinated will encourage player to take knife. But also complain that it isn't a scalpel.

Fascinated cares about the mirror, is not upset but intrigued by its disappearance.

Stairs will be replaced by a functioning escalator. This makes the Narrator pause in confusion.

Princess will sound similar to how the Spectre has two voices, with the Experiment having one human and the other robotic.

Fascinated will begin trying to further theory craft but be silenced by Hero. Allowing player to make a choice on what to say.

Bottom of stairs reveal bottom of basement to be classic sci-fi (think Frankenstein and star trek fused) laboratory. With Experiment "chained" to mechanical work station. (Think of a more complex looking Fallout 4 power armor stand.) With a thick cord of wires hooked up to the wrist of her arm, the cords resemble a chain.

Experiment will have right arm (arm with the hand she chewed off.) Completely replaced by mechanical arm up to the shoulder. (Bulky and industrial looking. With a pair of clamps instead of a hand at the end.)

Experiment will accuse player of altering her but clarify "i dont know how, but i know this is your fault!" This will make Narrator panic and talk loudly/rapidly in order to cut her off.

She will complain that she feels "wrong". And that the cybernetic arm hurts, more than when she chewed off her hand. This will make her frustratedly scratch at where the metal connects to her skin.

Hero will be distraught at how miserable the Experiment looks. And will suggest we drop the knife and try to make things right by helping her.

Fascinated will object, claiming that to interfere with the subject will cause the results to become tainted. He will argue that we should approach the nearby (CRT) monitor to observe her vital signs.

Narrator will disagree with both, reminding you it's your job to slay the princess and suggest using the Pristine Blade to do that while she is distracted with her frustrations.

Through the route, if you listen to Hero then Fascinated will revise theories. Claiming that Experiments discomfort is the result of her body rejecting the new limb. He will alter his theory to be that she is actually the result of genetic engineering. This will cause her to become The Augmented in chapter 3.

Listening to Fascinated will lead his theory revision to be because she has reached her body's "limit' and that a complete neural upload into a cybernetic form would be the only way to continue improving her. This will lead her to become The Mainframe in chapter 3.

Listening to the Narrator will end the chapter before Fascinated can settle on what the Experiment "actually" is and end the route.

Listening to hero will cause you to free the Experiment and attempt to escort her out of the basement. There will be an ocular scanner lock at the top of the Escalator where there wasn't one previously. Experiment can't open it, but you can. Experiment will become overly eager and kill you when scan is only 93% done. (Death will be, "while you are so foolishly hunched over to let the lock scan your eye. The princess takes advantage of your lack of awareness. She grips your skull between the clamps of her mechanical arm. You barely have time to panic before the clamps let out a loud hydraulic screech, crushing your head in a disgusting splattering of gore.") After this you will be presented with a black screen as the Experiment cheers for her revenge only to lament the fact she killed you to early and is still trapped.

This will lead to a third chapter, Chapter III: The Augmented featuring the Voice of the Cheated.

Other: Is in possession of a mysterious remote, whose magic only seems to work in Olive's hands. It's properties are not yet entirely known, but it has the ability to send out a powerful targeted electric shock from a distance.

Personality: Olive is an outwardly serious and sarcastic individual. He prefers solid plans over spontaneity and hates when things don't go his way. However, he isn't afraid to try new things. At his core, he is a fun-loving person, and he enjoys making friends. Like Mika, he has a fiercely protective streak.

Olive is quick to hold a grudge, but it's just as easy to for him to lose it. As such, his opinions of people can seem erratic and constantly changing by the smallest of offsets. When he's in a particularly bad mood, he's constantly irritable and rather rude to most people. He tries to apologize for this, but it's hard for him to own up to his mistakes.

He enjoys practical jokes and physical comedy, and loves to play pranks on others. However, he won't laugh at their expense if they're seriously injured or if it's someone he considers close.

Context, I gave may oc Yuu brothers and a sister and the three are somewhat based on Mickey, Oswald, Julius and Felicity.

For Oz, I made him a 4th year NRC student who is in Ignihyde

I know there are hero characters that go to NRC, but I thought it would be clever sense Oswal had a somewhat antagonistic role in Epic Mickey. I made him part of Ignihyde sense Oswald in the game focused a lot on machinery and is credited for making some of the animatronic characters in wasteland (more specifically Goofy and Doneld) and in the second game, he was a remote that is used to activate machinery or electrocute enemy's (hence why I also gave him a lighting/ electrocuted look to his hair).

Also, his limbs can detach due to them being robotic, referencing Oswald’s ability to remove his limbs. They can also extend like Ruber hose characters.

Yuu and Oz do have a sort of rivalry, but its toned down in comparison to Oswald and Mickeys one sided rivalry.

Oz similarly, hates being shoved to the side lines and try's his best to be...well the best. When bested, he gets...lets say salty to say the least and he hates hen he puts his blood, sweat, and tears into something only for it not to be recognized or belittled.

Personality wise, he’s a friendly fellow and cares about his friend's a lot, but as mentioned, has a bit of a short fuse and isn't afraid to scrap with someone. Other than that, most of the time, he’s a lot cheekier and more excitable. Also, it reference to the animatic of the canceled Oswald show, he tends to do things that seem almost impossible while he claims it was pure luck, like getting all the balloons on those dart games at the fair. In reality, Oz tries really hard to impress others or when someone is being too big for their britches, like to knock them down a peg. 

He likes to preform to some degree and entertain people and, with Oz having an interest in technology and wanting recognition... I kind of had this idea of him being a gaming streamer/ lets player of sorts (idk, I thought it fit sense the thing that helped Oswald be seen more in the public eye was the epic Mickey games)

Lastly, He likes to invent, and his inventions can get a bit out there. His pride and joy are his small but abundant rabbit robots that he uses to help him out (reference to the bunny children) and his other pride and joy being his mech (a reference to concept art were Oswald was more of an antagonistic force)

Each part is equipped with sensors that collect information from the environment such as: touch. That's why they are able to tell what has what texture

Each of them is also equipped with a smell sensor (because why not)

Everyone also has a loudspeaker through which they speak, but not everyone uses this loudspeaker

ciAssistant lore (Chipspeech oc :3) (written at 3am edition)

ciAssistant is a ciTech product produced by Cider himself. There's only one model of ciAssistant and it gained sentience and a consciousness due to error in its code.

ciAssistant was made to be a 7'6, walking, talking, phone and computer, meant to be an robot assistant. It has four arms, the two extra arms are able to extend in order to reach high places.

It can also detach its limbs and remove its head as it's all held together my magnetic forces.

The ciAssistant is physically slow, due to its stopped development. It was meant to be completed... But issues came along.

It started to gain sentience test after test, no matter how much Cider would try, his creation always regains it sentience.

One day, ciAssistant had enough of being treated like a product, he isn't an object. He has a working mind with a full on consciousness. He will not tolerate this shit anymore.

During testing, ciAssistant lashes out at Cider, attacking him and leaving him to bleed (I'll probably write something proper about what happened)

ciAssistant managed to escape ciTech, not knowing where to go, what to do, how to feel. He manages to find a bungalow in the suburbs of the city near ciTech labs. (I wish there was a 3asy way for me to explain how i see the world)

From now ciAssistant SHOULD be free but... Whenever his battery gets to 10%, his body makes him walk back to ciTech. He cannot control himself. The reason why this happens is, because Cider programmed him to automatically make his way back to ciTech no matter what.

hmmmmmm ... robot whumpees,, android whumpees,, its just a current wish and fixation of mine. also maybe im looking in the wrong places (and maybe i wouldnt be able to handle it?)

either way im a firm believer of be the change u want to see in the world so if i think theres not enough of smth, im gonna write it when the spoons allow me! which is what im gonna do as soon as i can get myself to write. ive been rotating concepts in my head regarding robot whumpees.

specifically a bunch of very advanced very humanoid robots still being treated like objects, getting limbs detached and reattached roughly during maintenence while they scream in pain (or not because their voice box has been disabled :) )

not robot whump but like. if anyone here has seen fma or fma brotherhood, my favourite scenes r whenever ed gets his automail destroyed/torn off. i just have a huge love for any sort of amputation related whump but its usually so permanent and cant be done repeatedly BUT WITH ROBOTS-

Their names M1-CR0 or Micro! They’re also called Criw, Child, MiMi, Gooden Child, Teachers Pet, And Tiny! People call him the ultimate child!

She was created on October 3rd, making that his birthday! They’re 17 and any gender! Make, female, and robot! He/they/she/it pronouns and aroace due to being a robot + they don’t really feel any attraction to anyone!

It’s about 6ft tall! Their skin is more of metal skin that looks like human skin with a little gleam, but overall his skin is a light tan! Her hair is just above her shoulders and slightly choppy at the ends, usually half up half down! His eyes are a pretty silver color with a white cross it the middle

They’re clothing is normally a pair of black pants and a beige sweater, a gear pin in his hair and a dark brown pouch that hangs around their waist! Alternative clothes are a white skirt, some black leggings a gear pin and the dark brown pouch from before!

At the side of its legs they have charging ports so when they stand on their ‘bed’ or charging station they recharge or ‘sleep’! They don’t usually Wear makeup but will let some of the other girls put makeup on them if they want to!

No missing body parts but they can detached limbs and other body parts!

Micro is usually calm and curious, with a positive mindset and encouraging words

I Long to Save Ourselves (Malheur3)

Title taken from Cosmic Thunder by Blue Material. Written to my unfinished Malheure playlist. Malheure x c-53 pairing. Queerplatonic. Suggestive language. Hardware gore.

Trying to explain what damage felt like for a mechanical being to someone of flesh and bone was a task cycle and a half. How did one go about the details of a severed wire, ends fraying and sparking as his power system continued to shoot volts through his circuits; and to encourage his pneumatic system which made his joints and attachments twitch incessantly as the friction increased from the immense pressure on his frame ?

He felt nothing. All the flashing warnings told him he needed to seek repairs and he was weighing options as he observed from his fixed position, a gnarled beam threatening to puncture his fuel tank. His thermal sensors indicated a rapid increase in temperature. A cause for concern, he was sure. A glimmer of light presented as pearl white pixels on his display as he eyed the controls.

Bubbles of black dotted his view as Malheure oozed from the communication panel to warble with untold emotion. "Hey. You with me, space junk ?"

C-53 rotated his lens away from the squiggles of dust and light. "I do not care for this form of address."

"You're not looking too hot."

"Quite the contrary, I have an increased internal temperature on account of the pressure threatening to crack my fuel tank."

"Don't bust on me." The radio waves rippled through the area above him and jostled the beam. It scraped across c-53's chest plate. "Well. It's better."

"I am unable to move. You see, it is difficult to escape when your limbs are detached."

Trills and oscillations rattled his core and made the edges of his cube feel smooth, his essence bending to their will. "I've got this."

The exposed wires knitted back together, casing melding over it. Bolts, welding, dents- all returned to their proper sight. His visual input went in and out. Power traveled back through his making and the sensors synced shortly after. Threads of ancient wavelengths tangled with his very being and told him he would be okay despite it all. It was the sound of a galaxy expanding.

Robots could not cry, but a short in his slot cover, thin metal door flapping open with a comical squeak, gave the same impression as a single shed tear.

The false eyes of radiant energy atop its form flattened. "Think you can get up without my help, big boy ?"

"I dislike you playing with reality and flirting with me in the wake of it."

"Yeah..." It thunked around his motherboard and he made a noise in protest. "I'm sure you do."

His balance shifted to the left. "Your tone is suggestive. Are you suggesting that I enjoy you being inside me and returning me to a happier, easier time ?"

"I'm outright saying it's hot for you."

He laughed. "Oh. Oh, I enjoy how forward you are."

"I'm in every dimension. Forward is only one. I can meet you... wherever you desire."

C-53 considered their words. "Let's go through the back."

Its currently 6:16am and I'm on the toilet in the hotel bathroom while all my roommates are eepy cuddling (i was too it was great but i'm stupid ans booked my flight too early) and after tonight, i get it lol. I get why furry cons and fursuiting is so fun and frankly, addictive. Time to spill my guts out here lmao

Ok so for context i've been a furry for a while, like 2 years plus. But i was always in a weird spot about like going to conventions and fursuiting and all that "oh im not one of those weird furries who dresses up as a neon colored wolf in public." Granted I've also always never really cared for being too social beforehand and liked being a homebody. However obviously something has to change and that was when i got a lovely invite to go to megaplex 2023 with some online friends

Let me tell you this convention was an absolute trip. I picked some amazing roommates and a good con to go to, even though its in florida (blegh) because I was pretty much always having a great time. Having a good mix of experienced and unexperienced people helped to tame some of the newbie awkwardness without taking me out of my comfort zone toooo much. Did quite a bit of partying (though not to the same extent as a couple of our experienced roommates but being left out didn't cramp my style :3) and got to know some awesome people

One thing that really did it for me though by far was just being around people where i could be myself. Like there wasnt any pressure to fit in and be a certain way besides yourself. Sure dont be overly "weird", however you want to define weird at a furry convention, but besides that one caveat it was just so relaxed. I got to dress how i want and just let myself flourish. Everyone should have this kind of environment, its so incredibly good.

Now i meam what about suiting? Whats so good about putting on a big heavy suit of synthetic fluff that you can barely see out of and is hot asf and so on? Obviously its not a physical comfyness, like wearing a really nice set of PJs (though they can be hella comfy) but rather, a sort of comfort in ones own skin. Its dressing up yourself in a new way that better fits who you want to be. Being trans I vibe with this IMMENSELY and trying out some other people's stuff, yeah it really solidified a lot of feelings I already had. Like putting on the head and really just, feeling the character you are now. Moving past being just your human self and moving into someone new. Or maybe its just who you are truly and being more of "i am this." Idk everyone vibes with it in a different way.

A big thing was phantom touch, a feeling that people get when they get touched somewhere that isn't actually their living breathing feeling body. Its incredibly common in those who've lost limbs, but its also really prevalent in vr settings (i.e vrchat) and obviously in suiters. Like there are lots of people who feel people touching their suits and feeling it like its their actual skin, its pretty insane. Our brains are amazing little masses of meat that are capable of the unthinkable, to the point where someone entirely detached from you besides a visual and audio representation of someone played through basically a couple screens strapped to your face can result in you feeling someone else's touch. Something something touch starved something something human brains are very predictive and pattern seeking, but whatever who cares about the biology when it feels so damn good.

I was already transhumanist before convention, major fan of protogens and all that (what i wanna be a cute ass robot that'd be awesommmme) but what really got me was just putting on someone else's furry head while on things I'm not stupid enough to post online about and fucking woah, it was so eye opening. Just putting on the mask and like, BEING them was entirely different than anything else. Sure I played tons of vrchat and loved the avatars I put on and vibed with them. But this time I was really feeling it and was able to exist as someone much more like me. Sure not perfect, but it was enough that I really connected with the experience.

I know Talos isn’t thief-oriented, but Mishima is a very technical person and I was basically searching for robots in mythology lol!

Talos in mythology is described as being bronze and having a cord of ichor that flows from his neck down to his ankle. I based part of my design of him on the Vitruvian Man for literally no reason, the legs are reminiscent of the anti-shadow suppression weapons, and I also wanted some Silver the Hedgehog style glowy bits <3

nothing much else really to say on the design except that his limbs are detached bc I think it’s cute setup for stuff like having them floating around him or helping him type/hack

Thoughts on my favorite fighting types throh and sawk?

Okay, so here's the thing: Would I consider these good designs, objectively speaking? No, for reasons I'll get into momentarily. But do I like them personally regardless? Yes. Is that entirely because they look like Muppets? Yes, 100%. I want to get a pair and name them Bert and Ernie.

In terms of good things, I like their grumpy faces and their weird eyebrows. Between the two, I think I prefer Throh a little, just because the stockier body shape feels better than Sawk's to me.

But aside from that, these guys are... I can't say they're terrible or anything, but they feel a bit dull and under-realized.

I think the biggest problem here, at least for me, is that they're literally wearing judogis (the white uniform) and belts. Going over my general lists of qualities for object-wielding Pokemon:

Is it explained where the object came from? The 'dex mentions them weaving their own belts out of vines, but that doesn't do much to explain the judogis. Also, I would've liked to see them with green vine belts out in the wild before being captured and gaining the fabric ones they seem to have on normally, in order to visually display this somehow.

Does the object serve a purpose? It's mentioned that they get pumped and become stronger when tightening their belts. A little abstract, but I'll take it.

Does the object enhance the design? Not really.

And it's that last one that really throws Throhs me. Basically, it feels like literally having them wear martial arts uniforms is much too literal. There are ways to get the theming across without just slapping clothes on them and calling it a day.

Speaking strictly from a design perspective, those uniforms also make them look more generic and humanoid than they would if they didn't have them. They are, after all, mostly just standard judogis, just with some black on the knees.

And in terms of the rest of the design, there's a few odd things going on. I'm not really sure if I get why they're covered in those lines; it's especially weird when they're only on the head and arms. I've heard some argue it's to make them look like training dummies, but I don't remember training dummies having seams placed randomly all over them.

Another odd quirk of these guys is the eyebrows. They're actually based off of oni, but because Tornadus and Thundurus were originally red and blue, the oni horns were removed in favor of the eyebrows to avoid the two looking too similar. Which, to me, is just plain strange. Gen 1 had like 1/3 of all Pokemon with some kind of horn; I feel like no one is going to mix up the humanoid martial arts creatures with the weird cloud genies just because of some horns. The eyebrows aren't inherently bad (and I like how they happen to match the English name letters), but it's just odd from a concepting standpoint.

So how could these guys be improved or made more unique? Just to spitball some ideas:

Emphasize the idea of woven uniforms from vines by adding grass typing? Maybe the vines could be prehensile for good measure.

They already look a little like training dummies and something about them reminds me of plastic toys (this might just because they look a little like rock'em sock'em robots tbh). Maybe you could give them a more heavily jointed look and have them be able to detach their limbs for attacks (like some kind of insects can do) or something along those lines? I'd certainly remember them better if they could attached their own arms to hit people with them

For some bizarre reason both of these two are male, but oni can freely change their gender. Because the designs are very similar, I almost wonder if you could've gotten away with making this one Pokemon with gendered forms that can switch between the two as its ability. Certainly would make them more unique, given how I don't believe we have any Pokemon that trans their gender intentionally yet. For this option you could also make them more oni-like, such as restoring the horns, adding some fangs, maybe making the belt into more of a loincloth, ect.

Obviously those aren't the only directions you could go with these guys, but it just feels like they needed something else.

So overall, these two are a bit bland and under thought out in my opinion. But the designs we got at least are very Muppet-like and that saves them for me, at least on a purely personal level.
