Thursday feels ashamed that she didn't tell Katsuko right away. She didn't tell her she almost died back at the office because she was half worried Katsuko would think her careless, half didn't want to upset her or freak her out.

It seems her secrecy on the event has gotten out to her anyway.

Thursday has her hands together on her lap, fidgeting with the loose rolls of her clothing. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't want you to worry," she admits, face burning red and eyes stinging with held-back tears. "It was an accident. I was showing my friend Night the black void and telling her about how it just appeared there and how we've all been hearing voices on recordings from it - she studies these kinds of things, you know? She's an expert, un- unlike our team. Anyway, we were studying it and things got out of control, it started growing really fast and she wasn't moving and I didn't want it to hurt her, I can respawn, I didn't know if she could, so I pushed her out of the way and- and that's when I got hurt. I'm sorry. We're both okay, she didn't get hurt and she did some surgery or something on me so I didn't die either, but- yeah. I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

Thursday will definitely try the whole "positive thoughts" thing later. For the time being, though, she wants to sort through her more confused, hurt, painful thoughts. Things she hasn't really dared to touch or actually think too much about. The thoughts have been there, but she's shied away from them any time they've surfaced, shown their ugly little faces through the murky depths of her darkest thoughts, she's ran away from those rustles in the thorny bushes of those dark empty woods in her mind. Who would want to linger among thoughts that can harm you, especially ones that are your own?

It's difficult to put into words and difficult to talk about, but what Night says makes sense, perfect sense, and it feels like a huge weight off her shoulders. It isn't just some useless platitude being thrown at her like in a Hallmark card. Sorry for your loss. Your friend loved you. You're not responsible. It's not your fault. There's nothing you could have done. We wish you luck in your future endeavors. What Night has said is objectively true and makes sense and for that it's all the more helpful to Thursday.

She lets out a small, sharp breath, like she's about to cry, like she's been waiting to hear that, and maybe she has. She really has been waiting to hear that. "Yeah..." she says softly, fidgeting with her sleeves some more. "I was thinking something like that, since we were all hearing different things on the same recordings. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. If the void is accessing our worst traumas and projecting them back at us, then it's only reading what we ourselves have internalized, isn't it? I'm glad you said that, Night, because that- Honestly, it can't be right, can it? It can't be my friend Sherry saying that because... the void never met her."

As Night feels the compulsion to share her story, Thursday feels the compulsion to hug her friend. Or share some kind of friendly affection. But she also doesn't know how Night will accept such affections. Thursday herself isn't open to people just randomly hugging her - except for friends and loved ones, but even so she doesn't necessarily appreciate it if she's in a state.

She offers Night a smile instead and hopes she understands. "You know what I think? The same as what you said to me goes for you. What that voice said to you - it isn't right," she says, and she does also offer a small, light touch on the shoulder, to show that she's being supportive. "You aren't inhuman. There are lots of ways of being human. And besides, being 'human' is a broad concept crammed into a word humans call themselves, and we always think we're superior beings, don't we? Maybe you aren't 'human' in the sense you don't have a 'human' 'body' anymore," she says, drawing airquotes in the air with her pointer and middle fingers each time she says human, "but you're still here. You're still you. You're still my friend! So yeah, if that void wasn't right about me, then it isn't right about you either. We should march right on back there and sing Kumbaya at it and tell it to shut the hell up."

Night glances back at the void. She doesn't feel as affected by it, but its presence did feel.. unpleasant. Maybe it was just because, you know- it's a void that consumes whatever it touches, and the inherent wrongness of that concept. At any rate, she agrees- there was no point staying around that thing- and starts walking away with her.

Thursday’s idea is so simple that it makes her rethink the situation for a second. Working with the Foundation has her so accustomed to complex workarounds and specialized strategies, she’d skipped over a seemingly obvious step- if negative emotions are good for it, shouldn’t positive emotions be bad for it? In any case, simply thinking of happy things is most definitely more ethical than giving traumatic memories to a newly formed consciousness.

When Thursday first starts explaining what she heard, Night listens, expecting to maybe get new information about the anomaly, or for her to come to a conclusion on how to stop it. Around halfway through, she realizes that this was personal- emotional- and not simply related to the investigation. She bites the fleshy inside of her lip, a nervous habit she’s developed. This is most certainly not her area of expertise. Even back when she was human, she wasn’t very good at dealing with emotions, whether that be her own or someone else’s.

Night’s taken off guard when Thursday asks her a question. She devotes a considerable amount of processing power to choose her words carefully, now. “I don’t think.. the void would know exactly she would say to you. The only anomalies we know that can do that are ones with, like, a fully developed ‘construct’ of sorts, of the personality. And it couldn’t have gotten every aspect of her personality solely from your memories. …At any rate, it isn’t right.”

“...Yes, I think that would be more likely,” she answers, slower than she usually talks, in response to Thursday's second question. “If it can sense your emotions, it’s likely that it can also sense your thoughts- and use them against you, with the same voice you remember her speaking in.”

Night does not want to speak about what she heard- but since Thursday told her everything, she feels the compulsion to say something at least. It’s only fair, after all.

“Well, y’know N… yeah, Entity? The void made me realize that, um, it was actually someone I knew, a... friend from the Nexus facility.  That I burned down. He’d been experimented on, been turned into.. well, the Entity I knew. He survived that. And I killed him again in the whole 3125 thing- probably,” Night recited, attempting to remain neutral. Stable. She was neither of those things though, and it showed in the way her eyes shifted and her grip tightened on the chain around her neck.

“It basically just said, uh, that I knew who it- he- was, I just didn’t care. It said that I was inhuman, in- in all of the ways."

I think it’d be funny if at some point Mihawk and Perona actually tried making their own wine and it was so terrible and Mihawk just won’t talk about it

Next time Shanks, as they are drinking, jokingly brings up the idea that Mihawk should probably make his own wine since he’s gone full farmer core and Mihawk, almost combusting in shame, attempts to drown him with alcohol to avoide the question

I am so confused on whether Natsuko and the gang are fighting against the narrative or fighting the author's desire for a tragedy. Like is bird lady a Drosselmeyer or a harbinger of the inevitability of fate, and the story is just demanding to meet its ending. A story that never ends is a tragedy. It wants an ending. Princess Tutu really got me chanting "may those who accept their fate be granted happiness , may those who defy their fate be granted glory" at this show.

I found out about box theory recently and I found it really neat.

But I don't find it useful personally. The imagery of the box and the idea that the box is individualized don't work for me at all.

So, I thought I would share my personal way of conceptualizing labels.

Essentially, you view all the LGBTQ+ labels as tools in a gigantic toolbox.

You can go through it and grab the tool you want to complete the project you are doing.

Two people may grab the exact same tool for projects that could not be more different.

Two people may grab completely different tools for exactly the same project.

And, of course, two people could grab exactly the same tools for exactly the same project.

And any variation/combination of any of those.

The important thing to remember is that there is no universally correct tool to use. Grab a hammer to unscrew a screw. Grab a screwdriver to remove a nail. Use a tape measure to etch a piece of art. Use 20 different tools for one task. Go wild. If it works best for you, it is the best tool for the job, even if other people would never use it that way. You're the one doing the job, so use the tool(s) that help you.

If someone criticizes the way that you are completing your own personal project, then they are just being annoying and pretentious.

Labels are just tools of self-description. Mix and match them. Use them in unconventional ways. If anyone cares, it doesn't matter, because the labels you use are for you, not them.

Something I noticed while (definitely not) editing something Sonic Prime related:

In episode 1 of season 2, Sonic and Shadow finally confront each other about their world's destruction due to the prism.

When Shadow leads Sonic back to the cave where it all started, they find the prism as a ghost, unfinished with a single fragment remaining. (A sign of their unity and division.)

Sonic states he'd do anything to be back, and Shadow finishes the statement: 'home.' They both wish to go back home, the same goal in mind. So, when Shadow tells Sonic there is still a chance, and Sonic follows him up to the prism, they're both standing in front of the prism shard on the same side: implying their shared goal.

Then, as Shadow starts to explain things, something changes...

He walks around the prism blueprint - making the prism a divider now.

From this point on, they may share the same goals, but it's evident that they do not share the same ideals on how to reach it, leaving them arguing once more.

No matter the shot...

No matter the angle...

The prism stands as their divider: two sides of the prism so-to-speak.

Even in a stand-alone shot with Shadow:

They make sure to keep the shard in view for this shot; unlike any other stand-alone shot of him or Sonic, where the shard is not even visible.

Not only is it a reminder that it's a divider, as it still sits in the way, but it's now present in a shot where Shadow outright declares: "Sonic! You literally broke our world. Why would I trust you to do anything!?" The prism shard is now a symbol of the home they lost (as it sits in a ghostly replica of their Green Hill).

After this, Sonic is cut off from anything he went to say as Shadow spindashes him across the cave, stating that he's taking charge on this one.

But the disagreement and fight isn't surprising (knowing the two), because they hinted at it from the beginning. Yes, they were fighting before Sonic fully knew what was going on, but at this point, they both know what's in play and they both want the same thing, but there's this hidden truth that they'll do different things to get what they want. Sonic even says himself, once Shadow says he's getting the shards: "No way, Shadow! I know what you're capable of and that's not gonna happen!" Then he's further defending his other friends in the different shatterspaces.

Sonic wants to go home, to fix what he broke, but where he'll team-up and help others as he goes, Shadow will push through and take out anyone who tries to stop him from fixing their home. The prism shard, standing as the symbol of their home, also shows the clear division between the two, even before they started disagreeing; giving us the heads up that the fight was coming.

(Yes, I know these screenshots are quality garbage, but I didn't really have a better option available at the time, not unless I went further digging for the Netflix footage, but I didn't feel like it. Lol)

I just found this very interesting as I went through the cave scenes. Looking from shot-to-shot to notice the shard is only ever shown when directly between the two once this whole conversation starts.

Hope you all liked this little analysis-thing, because I don't know if I'll do any more in the future. XD I'm not much of an analyzer. I just like to talk about details and things I've noticed with my siblings or friends, so this was a step further than usual. I just figured: "I have the screenshots already, why not?" XD
