Hi Erika! I couldn’t think questions nearly as fun as the ones you asked me 😅 but for your ask game:
1) When you develop your OCs which do you think of first: their physical appearance or personality? Or does it depend on the character?
2) Do you prefer rainy days or snowy days?
3) Which character from Demon Slayer do you think you’re most like?
Thank you! 💙
Hiya Acacia~! Happy to see some questions from you. And don't do knocking your own questions. I think they look plenty of fun!
1) To tell you the truth, whenever I come up with ocs, I tend to consider what canon character they'd interact with before coming up with the personalities or appearance. Although, personality tends to come quickly after that as I consider how an oc would be connected to and interact with a cc. For some ocs it's a little different. Selen for examply had his appearance set before his personality because he is essentially meant to be a genderbent version of Helia (twins and all). And because I had Helia as a green-eyed blond, Selen was set to be a green-eyed blond as well before I determined his behaviors.
2) Girl, I gonna take rainy days because I've never really experienced a snow day. 😅 Plus, I think the coolness of rain is better and easier to bundle up for compared to the coldness of snow. Also, rain has a fun word associated with it "petrichor." I really like that word...
3) Well, I'm with Shinobu and Kanao in the "Hate Upper Moon 2" department. But aside from that... I kinda sympathize with Zenitsu. He can only use one technique for the longest time but he's a master of that one technique. And although he's a crybaby and coward at times, he's a kind and loyal person to those who treat him well and will pull through in difficult circumstances. Similarly, I feel like a somewhat one-note writer, always coming back to the Fausts, and I fear that my abilities aren't on the same level as my peers/mutuals. We both also talk ourselves down at times... I know I shouldn't do that but... it happens. But I still try and my efforts do seem to put out decent results. I'm not the nicest person (and neither is Zenitsu given how much he complains about Inosuke and Tengen) but I do my best in the day-to-day. Zenitsu is a good kid and I like his contributions to KnY so I can say without shame that I do feel like he and I are similar.

OC #6 - Raiden
Continuing on with the Princess Tutu road; it’s time to talk about the second character of the “trio” - consisting out of Selene, him and that mysterious Lucy girl.
Raiden has more of an unique backstory, so sit down for this. He was born in not Kinkan, or outside, but in the fairy tale world, just like Siegfried. In fact, his best friend he had during his childhood was a fae named Acacia. His mother, Amalia, was a normal human woman, while his father...happened to be Merlin. Yes, that Merlin.
His life was pretty normal otherwise...but of course, a fairy tale can take it’s dark turns. So it happens that Merlin prophetises an incoming attack by a demonic creature known as...well, I doubt I have to say what creature. In any case, he forsaw that it would plan to launch a direct attack on the royal family and especially Prince Siegfried. He had to warn the prince from this incoming attack. He, himself, was immortal, but his wife and son definitely were not. The wizard used a spell on Raiden that would allow him to prematurely activate his very own, lightning themed powers and then ventured off. Amalia, in return, sought help from the faekind and after explaining what exactly occured, Acacia, as well a few other fairies, had blessed them with protection.
Not a second too late, because as it was foreseen, The Raven had risen,  battling his battle with the prince. Of course, the Raven escaped the story, allowing the line between fiction and reality to blur. Raiden and his mother soon escaped the fairy tale world, landing in Kinkan, where Siegfried took out his own heart to seal the Raven away. Following this event, Raiden and Amalia did not have any memory of what occured or where they came from. And so, they lived on as normal townspeople.
Eventually, Amalia regains her memories after the Raven’s final defeat but keeps them away from Raiden as a means to protect him. Raiden, in return, rediscovers his powers. Following a late visit at a library, he ends up meeting a certain Lucy and soon got along with her. But fate would have it that Raiden, too, would access  his long lost memories and would reunite with his father and the fae friend he made in the fairy tale world. What will happen with him then, is his own fate to wield.
-
Yes, there is art, once more made by Tomoyo, but there’s NOT an icon for it. Instead, we had settled that Raiden would keep his character maker icon, as seen here. It was made with CHARAT Blanc, in case you are wondering.
Tumblr media
And to the question you might ask yourself - yes, Raiden is a ballet dancer. A quite advanced one, too. He could hold a candle to Fakir and Mytho in terms of advanced dancing, actually. But to be fair, he did it since his young years - thanks to the fae that got him into that.
In any case, that is Raiden. As for the next character... a lot will be answered. Who is this mysterious Lucy? Why do I make such a big secret out of her - aside that she seems to be my main PT OC? What relation does SHE have to Selene and Raiden?
All will be answered.
The demon of the night awaits you.
