only you resist every ending
reeling with grief undone in
perpetual longing reconstructing
how I looked when you
emboldened by that deathless
unreachable light imagined
singing and turned carrying on;
endless.

2. Do I End?
Do you really know what you're getting into?
If so, I'll tell you a secret:
Everyone's watching you.

Wistfulness glints
Besotted, I drift off in fantasy,
Enamoured by a faint, yet timeless smile,
Alleviating every ache, worldly,
Until I am unsullied (for a while).
That smile — it is the heart you so beguile
Into its lost essentiality,
For wistfulness glints, and mirroring eyes
Undo the umbral weight of emptied skies;
Lo, all those stars… so you do shine to me.

Thoughts scatter in my mind like leaves trapped in strong breeze. Heavy bursts of insight, bogging from the sheer volume at hand. I look about at the scene I've always witnessed, felt and breathed. Some say it's a passing storm, Its the only weather I've known.
Is it normal to live "free", a smile the go to mask yet feel so alone? Slipping by the world in an spoken, unpracticed dance of dreams.
My heart will always love too much, too fiercely, too violently. Yearning to claw from the boundaries, to leave it's mark, to be felt.
Looking through the covers of people, seeing the true novel inside. A wealth of compassion, intelligece, empathy lying inside so many. Seeing through the darker traits,we say are human and "embrace". Though use them as reasons to push away, delete, looking further.
Whether we choose to take scars and keep, or discard and regret. Relief is often gained or lost by fractional degrees, all depending. If it hits the heart, lodges in its fibers,or passes through numb skin. Tears flow down cheeks from painful lessons or joyous elation. Either way we choose let it be the one that sets the soul at ease.

Prompt: What's the truth? (Escapril Day 8)
W himsical, aren't we? walking past this
H aggard instant, crying at merciless hope
A nchored to the throbbing heart of humanity
T ender night ~ for souls that washed ashore
S ailing with the moon and running astray.
T ethered to a vessel on verge of decay
H umbled, we pray — let us behold
E very hell we graced; every heaven we wrecked.
T ime, had us at who's mercy? ever flowing
R iver that we built our castles on
U naware, we are, creatures of instinct
T ainted the land beneath our feet.
H arbingers of doom : we’re one part debris, one part disease.

TTPD Poetry Week 3: You Are In Love
You Are In Love (Jen's Version)
You leap off the edge with trust in your heart,
Our hands intertwined, we fall together for miles.
Under the moon, under the sun, where did it start?
Are you here with me? I can feel your touch, your trials.
Reality is better than my dreams, I can see you through it all.
Even in the dark, even with the pain, you are the light.
In every battle, with every strike and blow to my soul
New dreams, new fights, never standing alone.
Let us walk into the heart of what we feel.
On every mountain, from every shore,
Vengeance on my past, love from every pore.
Every day I swear I want you more.

open me. open me.
bleed me dry, make it
shallow. it’s suicide tonight, my
echo. elevate me… to high heaven.
see my face in the mirror.
stomach the thought of
eating me alive. autocannibalist.
destroy me. let’s destroy me.

All of my poems and short stories in one place for you to binge-read. Will be updated when I post new things. Unless I forget.
Stories:
The Great Sandwich Adventure: Three dysfunctional animals try to make some lunch. Tomfoolery ensues.
Death's Gift: A man meets Death, who offers him a wish. Be careful what you wish for...
Reflections: Waking up to something odd.
In The Fume Hood: Too much homework. Too little sleep. An overly powerful (and possibly sentient) fume hood.
Ethanol and Mothballs: The halls of the museum are quiet at night. The collections are a different story; organisms wake up and begin to explore...
