#all of these dream except for Giornos
Dreams (or nightmares) they’ve had that they can’t stop thinking about:
Giorno: had a dream that he was a rich kids pet dog, and he was running around having a good time. Then some guy, who kind of looked like him, jumped out of a carriage and kicked him
Bruno: had a dream that he worked a normal office job, but all of his co workers were bees
Abbacchio: Had a dream that he lived alone in the middle of the woods, and he couldn’t leave his house because it was surrounded by poisonous snakes and boa constrictors. He woke up when one of the snakes got into his house
Mista: had a dream that a dehumidifier was trying to hug him and was chasing him around the basement. This dream made him afraid to go into the basement for like six months
Narancia: had a dream that he was stuck in a building because of a tornado. But the tornado could talk and had one request, which was that Narancia found his long lost lover, a radish named Phoebe, and that he bring her to him. So the tornado gave him gas money so he could go find his radish lover, but the tornado made it super hard for Narancia to drive his car because the tornado was being super troublesome. Eventually Narancia found Phoebe the radish and reunited the two odd lovers and was free from the wind
Fugo: had a dream that he was at the grocery store. But every time he tried to pick up an item it would turn into a wet piece of cardboard
Trish: had a dream that she met her dad, and he tried to kill her with a nerf gun (pre-her actually meeting her dad)

So... Thoughts on The Penguin trailer?
youtube
I'm trying to reign in my optimism a bit and be a little more cautious, but so far: ahahahah oh man, oh man oh man, I'm really excited for this.
God I gotta get back on my Sopranos watch, I gotta start making time for it again. I mean, it's been a terrific show so far, I'm not just watching it because of this, but out of everything we've seen so far this trailer is the biggest "we're doing The Sopranos" thing I've seen from them yet.
I love the mention of Rex Calabrese here and the recontextualization of his character, and how Oswald views him. For comparison's sake: In Batman Eternal, Rex Calabrese was brought up as a brutal ruler who ripped throats out with his teeth and terrified all the other cops and crime families into obeying him and who understood the natural order through which he was supplanted by Falcone, who was then supplanted by Penguin. But here, he talks about Rex Calabrese as a childhood hero who helped people, who was given a funeral parade as a show of love from the people. That's the kind of person Oz idolizes, the kind of life he wants and is starting to think he will never get to have.
Here's one of the big reasons why this is already the best take on Gangster Penguin there's ever been, and the thing I love the most about this trailer, and something that absolutely defined him in the movie as well: Oswald is completely delusional about what being a gangster actually means.
Tumblr media
Oswald here is a guy who had his heart broken in the movie because Falcone, the guy he followed and obeyed and looked up to with every breath, turned out to be a backstabbing piece of shit, with Oswald clearly kept in the dark about the nastier things Falcone got up to. He gets very offended at the suggestion he murdered Annika or that he did the Riddler's serial killer rat maze trap, and in that deleted scene where he tries to pay Selina and keep her from going underground, he clearly wants to be the guy who treats his staff allright and pays them what they need and tries to shield her from the grubby animals downstairs that he on some level finds disgusting (even though they're on his club, and he's providing them with what they want, and he's shielding the worst one of all).
And now he's sitting here talking about his old hero, a gangster from his neighborhood who reached out to people in the street and helped them, who died with his pride in hand and was beloved by his community for it. The kind of guy that Oswald emotionally talks about as someone he wants to be like, as he's getting ready to go to war and shoot and stab and blow up people in a crumbling nightmare city.
This is, in spite of everything, a guy who is very, very preoccupied with being some kind of gentleman, or at least more of a gentleman than the criminals he cavorts with, and a guy whose vision of himself doesn't match the reality of what he does, and a guy who has made a ridiculous cartoon of himself in order to try and forcing that childish idea into reality. This is a Penguin who lives and dresses and acts as an absurd child's idea of a rich and powerful man, except what that entails has changed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead of wanting to be the romantic aristocrat, instead of playing the cultured gentleman thief, this Oswald wants to be the friendly gangster. He wants to be the neighborhood king who runs soup kitchens and helps old ladies cross the street and inspires beaten-down insecure loser kids like him to strive for more, the mafioso who looks out for women and kids and isn't scared of the cops and gets funeral parades for being such a swell guy who just does a little crime ova here every now and then, eeyy, c'maan.
Oswald here has the same dream as Giorno Giovanna, from JoJo Part 5, and he saw Rex Calabrese as the distant mysterious gangster who looked out for Giorno and invisibly kept bullies from picking on him and made the neighborhood treat him decently, who showed him what real power, power to protect himself and others, looks like, and he very clearly wanted to project that kind of fantasy onto Falcone, who is an actual gangster, and thus doesn't act remotely the way Oswald thinks they ought to act.
Oswald here wants to be the Depression-era honorable mafioso, just as outdated and fictional and mismatched a character in our time as the gentleman thief aristocrat was to the 1940s, and to me that feels like the first time anyone's really made Penguin-as-Gangster be a concept worth it's weight and play into makes him so engaging a character. It's just instead of being a burglar and crimelord who reads Raffles and quotes Shakespeare, this Oswald is a Tony Soprano who prays every night to be Don Corleone once he grows up.
And he might even get his chance! Because the way things are going in Gotham, with the city destroyed and in need of rebuilding, with the entire infrastructure crumbled and the mob having lost their figureheads and supply, and Oswald holding one of the few structures not completely totaled, he has the opportunity of a lifetime here to swoop in and play the Capone/Dillinger to this Depression-flavored Gotham.
And I'm really curious as to where he's heading within the show: whether he's going to make this fantasy of his work and be the reasonable flexible-but-unbeatable crimelord and the sole player remaining in town, or whether the downfall of organized crime in Gotham and the rise of the weirdos means that our beloved waddling freak is going to have to come to terms with what he actually is, and grab his colorful suits and his new name and make some umbrella guns to embrace and ride his bizarre awfulness into the sunset.

Anyways, I hope yall get a kick out of my funky ideas.
----------------------
1-8 JoJo’s x Reader - Playing Animal Crossing Together
Wordcount:
Short summary: My personal headcanons on the JoJo’s playing Animal Crossing with references to you and their friends.
Warnings: None. Only wholesomeness here., except for Joseph srynotsry
-----------------------
Jonathan:
Loves it, huge fan of the tiny wholesome animal game.
Speedwagon showed it to him, knowing Jonathan would love it.
Jonathan puts a big effort into keeping his island pretty, villagers happy, filling the museum, sending gifts and letters to his friends and you.
Most wholesome player you'll ever encounter, that happily trades anything he has.
Loves to buy furniture and clothing for you to surprise you with it.
 🌟
Joseph:
Wasn’t that big into it until he discovered the custom pattern function.
Now he's a menace, using loads of cursed patterns to paint his island in and give his villagers ugly shirts.
His own character wears a "Pussy Master" shirt.
Will visit Caesar’s and your island just to mess with you and gift your villagers ugly clothing and furniture.
Avid time skipper.
Biggest troll you two know and yet you love him.
  🌟
Jotaro:
Not interested, didn't know what it was until he saw you having fun with it.
He asked Kakyoin what the game is, and he happily showed Jotaro.
Jotaro eventually surprises you with a friend request on your switch.
He doesn't do much around his island, just places some stuff here and there.
Is absolutely obsessed over aquatic Villagers and filling the fish part of the museum to take pictures there with you.
  🌟
Josuke:
Organized Town, pretty layout, casual player that takes his time to slowly work towards everything.
Will make his house gaming themed.
One part of the island is dedicated to recreating the cafe and fill it with references to you and his other friends.
Eager to get his friendship up with all his villagers, loves to give them gift and talks to them daily.
Loves the Nookmile tickets/ Kapp'n trips and goes on them whenever he can.
  🌟
Giorno:
Froggy Chair obsessed.
Owns the Sanrio Amiibo cards and decorates with it.
Also has all the villager amiibo cards and everyone is welcome to borrow them to get their favorites on their respective islands.
Loves the museum and eagerly works on filling it, gifting anything he already has to you.
Cute natural island theme with loads of plants and occasional duplicated statues spread around.
Made a cute park for you that has lots of hybrid flowers and cutesy furniture.
Loves all villagers, but his favorites are the frogs.
  🌟
Jolyne:
Surprisingly organized in a sense?
Like you, Ermes, FF and her share a group chat where everyone posts their newest decoration updates, what villagers moved in and might move out, turnip prices.
You trade furniture for the catalog and help each other's museum, teamwork makes the dream work.
Loads of pictures of you four hanging out in the coffeeshop.
One room in her house is dedicated to you and filled with references to your relationship.
Anasui is banned from all islands, and you designed a custom pattern with his face and a red X on it that all of you have next to your airport.
  🌟
Johnny:
Johnny wasn't big into it at first and then got completely hooked.
Only Horse and Mouse villagers.
Western themed all the way. Kentucky state flag as his island flag.
Loves Gyroids and has multiple in each room.
Gyro and he trade furniture and ignore the museum completely. They are only interested in decorating their homes and island to have it perfect.
Made it big with turnips but refuses to explain to Gyro how it works.
  🌟
Gappy:
Was confused at first why you liked the game so much.
Yasuho and you made him his sailor outfit and buy him some furniture to start him up with.
You two explain the whole concept roughly to him and then let him play.
You never expected him to figure it out super quickly and making loads of money with turnips.
His house was upgraded faster than yours and Yasuho’s, he began making his own custom paths, made an orchard on his island.
He quickly takes a huge liking to the game and loves everything about it.
He leaves the island largely as it is, the only stuff he really decorates are his house, the orchard (reminiscent of the Higashikata one) and the little area with his villagers.
The rooms in his house are all dedicated to a person that he then decorates accordingly to. (You, Yasuho, Holly, the Higashikata Family etc)

Keep Your Eyes On Me
[Giorno Giovanna × Reader]
Never in your wildest dreams did you think you could paint someone as magnificent as Giorno, but it happened just like that. It all started from a small talk about the weather and the lovely sight of his private garden. But as soon as you talked about the progress in your project, he immediately proposed something you wouldn't expect.
"If you really need a model for your painting, you could've just asked me."
You snapped your head towards him at lightning speed.
"For real?" You asked, and he nodded without hesitation. "I mean—isn't that dangerous? I might end up exposing your identity! Because it's gonna be exhibited in the gallery and—and since your face would be on my painting—" You stammered as you tried to explain, "Someone might recognize you, and—"
"Hey, calm down. You think too much." He said with an amused grin, "No one has ever seen my face, except for the few people I trust."
He tilts his head when you squint at him, “I doubt that.”
“You can change my hair color, or alter my face a little bit if you’re still unsure.” He suggested, “Like I said earlier, I don’t mind becoming your muse.”
An amused snort came out from you louder than you intended, “That’s a bold choice of word, Gio.”
“But you always whine about not having a muse.”
“Well,” You scratched your nose, “What I mean by that is having an ordinary person as my muse, not the legitimate Don of passione.”
“I don’t see what’s wrong with that.” He raised his brow, and an exasperated sigh left your mouth.
“That’s not it…” You mumble while your head’s down, not looking at his direction, “It’s just that… I’m worried about your safety, Gio. I don’t need to be a part of the mafia to know that everyone wants you dead. Not everyone, but you get my point.” You corrected, “I don’t want to accidentally put you in danger, y’know?”
For a moment, the conversation went cold. He didn’t say anything, and you didn’t look at him. But then you hear footsteps, and a hand slips onto your cheek as he cups your face. “You really have the tendency to make me work for it.” He retorted gently, “I offered myself to be your model because I know you want me. But it’s not your job to worry about me, (Y/N). I want you to finish your project first, before you decide what to do with the painting.” He smiles, “Capisce?”
Although you didn’t get cold feet, it seemed like Giorno thought otherwise. Because he holds you still when you step away, and his grip is firm on your waist.
“Alright, alright.” You compromise, “I’ll do it, okay? I’m gonna take my stuff first, so can you please let me go for a sec?”
The painting equipment you bring is quite heavy, but you refuse to let his man carry them for you. You’ve surveyed the ideal place for the background, and you quickly set up the easel. While you set down your brushes and color paints, you watch the men arrange a long sofa by the window. With the instruction from the Don himself.
“So you’re gonna lay down?” You asked.
“You expect me to stand for hours?”
“No, but I thought I told you to sit on a chair.”
“It wouldn’t look as good.”
You roll your eyes, “I guess beggars cannot choose.”
He grinned as he dismissed his men, “I would take my clothes off if you wish to paint nude—”
You quickly clear your throat, loud enough until it sounds very constrained. Even though his men keep a straight face, you know they heard him. You glare at him, and he just chuckles in return.
“Shall we begin? You can lay down now.” You told him as you squeezed out the paint, “Make sure everything’s comfortable enough for you.”
“I’ll be more comfortable if you lay beside me.”
“Giorno.” You called him with a frown, which only made him smirk. He doesn’t speak much as he gets on the sofa, and leans comfortably against the armrest. You pick up the medium-sized brush and dip into the green color. You glance toward him, and begin to sketch on the white canvas.
“Hold on.” He said as he unbuttoned his vest, and slid them off his shoulders. You see him throw the black garment away carelessly, before he loosen up a few buttons of his shirt.
“Dio mio, Gio.” You uttered as you put down your palette. “Can’t you at least not throw it to the floor? It’s gonna get dirty.”
“It’s gonna be laundered anyway.” He replied while he rolled his sleeves, and you just scowled as you picked it up.
“Stronzo.” You mumbled as you dusted off the vest, and went back to your place. You drape the thing onto your chair, before you pick up where you left off.
The green color quickly spreads on the canvas as you map out the scene. You use the blue to sketch out the window, and the soft yellow for the sofa. Your eyes dart to him while you paint, and you hate to admit that he made the right choice to get rid of the vest. He fits perfectly into the picture.
You wonder if you ever see him as relaxed as this before. Although you knew him close enough, he still used his refined manner around you. As you draw the black line, you wonder where his attitude goes.
The brush is quickly switched with a bigger one, and you mix some dye until it resembles the color of the wall. You paint most of the canvas with the new color, and add the shadows and light. You look out the window, and find the sky’s clear. You’re gonna need a lot of blues.
As you work on the details, your eyes inadvertently fall on him. He’s also looking at you, with his cheek resting on his palm.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Like what?” He asked.
“Like that… like you’re gonna…” You pressed your lips tightly before you shook your head, “Nevermind.”
You turn your gaze away as you focus on your work. The shadows are roughly placed, and you move on to the greenery.
“You know,” He began to speak as you painted, “I’ve had my portrait done a few times before, but you’re the first one who insists on doing it in my garden.”
“Why? You missed your office already?” You sneered.
“No, but I do miss my whiskey.”
Your brows furrowed, “You don’t drink liquor.”
“I don’t drink when I’m working.”
“Huh.” You replied nonchalantly, “Of course, this is just a picnic for you."
He chuckles, “I wouldn’t consider this as a picnic, there’s no wine and cheese platter for us.”
“Us?” You narrowed your eyes, “This isn’t a date, Gio.”
“I know.” He stated, “It’s just a proposal.”
You feel your blood rushes to your face, and you turn away from him. You can’t think of anything as the reply, so you settle with silence. It didn’t surprise you when he openly flirts with you, and you usually just shrug it off. But this time, you can’t ignore him at all, not when he sounds so serious.
The window on the canvas slowly takes shapes, and provides a good background for the plants. You spend the next hour perfecting the tall foliage, without sparing another glance at him. But you don’t have to look to know that his eyes are glued on you.
As you finish the basic lines of the potted plants, you proceed to draw the long sofa. You keep your head down as you blend the faded cream color, and put them on top of the yellow.
“I think I’ll be working on the background detail now,” You announced without taking your eyes off the canvas, “You can take a break Gio, feel free if you want to leave.”
“I’ll stay.”
You bit your lip, he’s going to be a hell of distraction.
Humans can acknowledge if something’s watching them, and you curse your ancestor for passing down that ability. Even when you try to ignore it, it keeps screaming at the back of your head. Because not only does he keep his eyes on you, the intensity of his gaze also sets your alarm off.
He never looked at you like this before, right? Or have you been ignoring the signs? His friends always teased you, saying that you wouldn't be a great detective. But you're never good at reading someone's thoughts, let alone his mind. God knows what's going on inside his head.
If someone matches up the painter's apathy against the Don's preservation, it's gonna take a long time to know who's the winner. But this time, the answer seems to be clearer. And when your eyes met, you realized how terrifying his stubbornness can be.
"Gio," You mused, "Don't look at me like that…"
His lips spread into a half smile, "Like what?"
You grip your brush tightly, you don't have the courage to speak up your mind. It would be silly to ask the most feared Don about what he wants, because he has been declaring it loud and clear.
"(Y/N)." He called you softly, but as tenderly as it was, he still made your heart race, "Did I make you uncomfortable?"
"I don't know." You looked away, "I just… don't want to get the wrong idea."
His smile grew wider, until the lines around his lips became prominent, "Come here, (Y/N)." He stretches his hand toward you, "I'll let you find out."
There's no need to confirm your suspicion, because the words he just said is a confession itself. You look at him and realize that he doesn't hide his infatuation. And you know better than approaching him without thinking. Because if you do that, it can only mean you reciprocate his feelings.
But do you love him? You asked. Despite the path that he chose, and the fact that you'd be plagued by constant worry about his safety. Will you still love him? Even when you know the misfortune will follow the two of you to the end?
Yes. Yes you would.
You gently put down your palette, and wipe your hands on your handkerchief. You've been repressing your own feelings for so long, but you won't hide anymore. Once you make it to his side, he'll know that you love him. There's no turning back.
He sits on the edge of the sofa by the time you walk to his side. When you stop right in front of him, he reaches for your hand and pulls you closer.
"Won't you regret it?" You muttered while he wrapped his arms around you, "I'm just a mere painter."
"And yet,” He tugs your hands and kisses them tenderly, “You could bring me to my knees.”
You blushed when he placed another kiss on your wrist, “Giorno—”
His head perks up, and you reach out to cup his face. He doesn’t resist when you lean forward, bringing your face closer to him. For a moment, you wonder why the thought of kissing him never crossed your mind before. He looks so… inviting.
He puts his hands on your waist as you press your lips against him. You taste his hunger on your tongue, and he guides your hand to his shoulder. You utter a small squeak when he hooks his arm around you and brings you down to the sofa.
The soft cushion puffs out under the sudden weight of your body. You need a second to process what had just happened, before you see him leaning over you.
Before you had the chance to speak, he already kissed you again. You squeeze your eyes shut as you circle your arms around his neck. Having him so close to you makes you realize how many details you missed out about him. The subtle scent of his shirt, the softness of his hair, the warmth of his skin.
Maybe you’re overwhelmed by love, even adoration. But you swear when you look at him, he never looks as magnificent as he is now.
The chatter and the occasional clink of glass fill the room as you walk past the visitors. The exhibition is bustling with people, and the champagne flows endlessly. There’s a few acquaintances around, but you only greet them without a small talk.
Giorno promised you he’ll come, even though you’re strongly against it. You’re worried about him making an appearance in public, but he assured you it’s alright.
This might be the first time you’re feeling nervous in the exhibition. Not because of the display of your art, but rather the incoming arrival of your muse.
When you reach the section of your paintings, your tension drops as you see familiar faces. His friends are coming, and you know Giorno is safe when they’re around.
Bruno is the first to notice your presence, and he smiles as you walk closer.
“Ciao, (Y/N).” He lifts his glass of champagne, and you return the gesture.
“Ciao.” You grinned, “Glad you made it here.”
“I would never miss it, (Y/N).”
The rest of the crew greet you, as they give a short praise for your paintings. But not without commenting about the portrayal of their Don.
“What did you do to him? He doesn’t look scary at all.” Said Narancia, “I swear, he looks more terrifying than usual. I could never get used to seeing him like that.”
“That’s because he only smiles when you mess up something, Narancia.”
“I never thought I’d get to see him without his suit on. I mean, he looks like the kind of man who sleeps in two-piece.” Mista jested.
“Now you mention it,” Abbacchio chipped in, “Why did he agree to be your model?”
You shyly answer, “He’s the one who suggested it.”
“What?” Bruno stares at you wide-eyed, “He asked you to paint him?”
“Sort of.”
Abbacchio strokes his chin slowly, while keeping his eyes on you. “That explains the lack of formal clothes.” He sneered, “So, did he finally succeed?”
“Succeed on what?” You furrowed your brows.
He only sips his champagne as he looks past behind you. The others seem to do the same, and curiosity makes you turn your head.
To say that you didn't expect him to dress up to the nines for the event was half a lie. You know he loves to flaunt, but seeing him like this almost makes you drop your glass. Because not only does he catch everyone's eyes, he doesn't hide his magnetic charm at all.
"Amore." He tugs you close by your waist, and places a peck on your shoulder, then your lips. "Sorry I'm late."
"Gio." You hissed, "I told you—"
"Dio mio!" Narancia gasped as he pointed at the blond, "Did you just kiss her?"
Fugo grabs his head and pulls him away from the group, "Come on now, don't bother them."
The youngest member protested, but he couldn't get away and got dragged further. The rest of the crew just watch them leaving, before they shift their attention to you.
Mista is the first one who speaks, pointing out the obvious, "The two of you are dating?"
"Well," You instinctively rub the back of your neck, "Yeah."
Your lover leans closer to whisper to you, "You don't sound so sure."
"Sorry." You squeeze his hand. "I just don't know how to tell the news to you guys."
"But why?" Bruno's eyes crinkled as he smiles in amusement, "We've been waiting for this moment." His statement made Giorno chuckle, before he pressed a kiss on your crown.
"I miss the time when he didn't care about girls." The silver haired man groans when Bruno kicks on his ankle, "What was that for?" He grunted.
"Aren't you happy that they're finally together?" Mista playfully asked as he circled his arm around his neck, "You used to complain about them all the time."
You raise your brows, but the older man just shoves him away. Mista laughs when he receives the death glare from him.
"Now, now." Giorno spoke up at once, interrupting the early stages of their usual bickering, "If you'd excuse me, I have to go on a date with (Y/N)." He encloses your shoulders with his arm, "She promised to give me a tour around the exhibition."
Bruno gives him a small nod, "Sure," He then adds, "Have fun, you two."
You wish them a good night before Giorno drags you away almost immediately. The drink on your hand almost spilled out as you tried to follow his pace. After walking through the third of the gallery, he stops at the empty corner.
It doesn't take long before he pushes you to the closest wall, and starts kissing you like a hungry man. You voice your protests, but they only get squashed down by his lips. You don't know which, or whose paintings are being displayed beside you, but you hope you won't disturb them by accident.
The two of you finally part to catch a breath, and you just realize that two people just scurry away when they see you. A pang of embarrassment struck you as you're suddenly aware that you got caught making out with him—your own model—on the day of your works' exhibition.
"Didn't I tell you to be patient?"
You put a frown on your face when he softly chuckles. He doesn't seem to mind his manner, which effectively fuels your guilty desire further.
"I've waited for long enough." He expressed with a coy smile, "Don't you think I deserve fair compensation?"

Aghhhh almost missed it. Can I request Giorno from Jojo for ijqy? Tysm!
Tumblr media
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Giorno is a meticulous planner - he’s always several steps ahead of everyone around him. This fact does not change when his darling is involved. Giorno has a meticulous plan in mind the moment his darling comes to be under his thumb. Human nature tells him that his plans won’t always work down to the minute details he’s created, but he pushes his thoughts about his darling’s future on them regardless.
Giorno yearns for something traditional and stable. He never had it growing up and craves that normalcy he missed out on. Though his role as the Don of Passione keeps him busy the majority of the time, he dreams of having the ability to come home and put on the role of doting husband. To that end, though, he expects his darling to be just as devoted to him. Giorno will mold his darling into the perfect house spouse, even if they protest. He wants them as far away from Passione as possible - it’s far, far too dangerous for them. And he thinks, too, that he deserves something special for himself. That something special being another human being held under lock & key is not something he spends time dwelling on the morality of.
Of course, being Giorno’s darling comes with perks - he does want them to be a stay at home spouse, but they won’t have to lift a finger. There will be a heavily vetted and selected staff to attend to his darling’s whims when he’s not there - and it’s likely that Giorno will go as far as to have one of his most trusted personal guards stationed there to keep an eye on things.
Giorno doesn’t see how his darling could be anything but grateful for the life he provides them. All he asks is that they obey him… and is that really so hard?
[ Continued under the cut. . .]
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Yes. Nothing has ever stopped Giorno from getting what he wants, and his darling is no exception. He’s possessive of them - he wants to keep them pristine and free from the horrors of the world. Giorno is logical, though, and knows that his jealous streak is irrational. Still, it’s hard to tamp down the anger that flares up when he sees his darling interact with someone else, even if it is one of his trusted confidants. He wants his darling’s smile to be only for him. Giorno gives so much of himself in his role as the Don - it’s only natural that he wants something solely for himself.
Giorno, however, is self-aware enough not to place his feelings on his darling. There are other things he may unfairly punish them for, but his own feelings aren’t one of them. He copes by using his position to get away with anything he thinks will tamp down his jealousy. Killing isn’t out of the question. Of course, he’d never kill his trusted friends, but he may send them on far-away missions. Those closest to him, like Fugo and Shelia E., are well aware of Giorno’s raging jealousy issues and are careful to behave accordingly around his darling.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
If they die… Yes. Giorno is more than used to loss and considers it a regular part of his life. When you’re in Passione, you live every die as if you might die - even when you’re the Boss. He’d be likely to bottle up his emotions, only letting his tears fall in private at nighttime when he holds his darling’s clothing to his face, their lingering scent making his heart yearn. He will never be able to replace them, but he won’t let his duties falter.
If they leave or escape? No, absolutely not. No one defies him and gets away with it. Giorno is careful and calculating - it may be days, months, or years before he makes a move. The anger that Giorno expresses is cool and collected. He wants his darling to think they got away with it. The shock and fear they’ll feel when he finally reveals he’s known where they are the whole time is something Giorno looks forward to immensely.
His darling would do well to remember how Giorno became the Don of Passione. Giorno’s ruthlessness is one of his defining features, and his darling is going to witness firsthand if they ever betray him.
He won’t kill them, though. Giorno still loves them, but he knows he has to punish his darling for their own good.
They’ll never want to run away again.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
Quite a long time… Giorno, despite everything, still has some gentlemanly qualities. He’s even a bit shy due to the fact that he has little experience with romantic relationships. He’s aware he could just… take his darling any time, but he wants to try and do things the ‘right’ way first. For all his power and strength, it takes him a long time to approach them with romantic intent. Giorno strikes up a friendship first, keeping his identity a secret. (Unless, of course, they work for Passione somehow… If that’s the case, he’ll hire them to be his personal assistant while in reality giving them menial duties so he can chat with them frequently.) Despite his lack of experience, he does know how to be charming. Creating a flower with Gold Experience and tucking it into his darling’s hair is his signature move, and even he knows that it’s a good move to fluster someone.
Eventually, though, he grows impatient with himself and reveals his feelings to his darling. How they respond influences everything else: how fast he advances the romantic relationship, how soon he kidnaps them, how soon he asks them to move in, how soon he starts to show his yandere tendencies… There are many possibilities.

JJBA OC Information
Hello! This post is about my JJBA OC, Mary.
In general, I like to jump from one thing to another depending on my mood. Mary is kinda the same throughout all parts, but depending on the situation and part, she will be utilized differently. I rarely will ever have Mary from another part encroach on another part, so feel free to pull a Gappy and call her like, Mary 4 or Mary 7 (which is how I will be addressing them when discussing different parts). Each Mary will basically be self-contained in each part unless doing funny asks or something.
With that being said, here’s a small introduction to the Mary’s as well as some amateur art done in a similar style to Araki's sketches (below the cut):
Tumblr media
Mary Yazawa (Mary 4)
An unassuming, average office lady without a care in the world who just moved in next to the Higashikata’s house. There’s no way this woman is anything but ordinary! Except… something isn’t adding up about this rather happy-go-lucky girl.
F/O: Kishibe Rohan
Familial/Platonic F/O: Josuke Higashikata (Next door neighbors / Cool older sister)
Age: 20
Career: Receptionist (Currently), Mangaka (Secretly)
Stand: Dancing Queen (ABBA song)
Favorite Food: “Onigiri. With salmon, extra avocado, and sesame seeds. Mmm… onigiri…”
Habit: Tends to refer to Rohan by title with his last name (‘Mr. Kishibe!’), much to his chagrin. Also has a tendency to dress in outrageous fashion or subcultures when not at work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary Giovanna (Mary 5)
The ever-pleasant maiden of Napoli, she is certainly a sight to behold. Almost all know her by name and sight alone. Beneath her bright appearance, lies a jaded woman who is just trying to let her new family be happy.
F/Os: Bruno Bucciarati and Leone Abbacchio (Poly), Prosciutto
Familial/Platonic F/O: Giorno Giovanna (Half-sister), Bruno’s Gang (Older Sis/Mom figure)
Age: 21 (A few months younger than Leone, to his amusement)
Stand: Venus (Bananarama song)
Favorite Pastime: “Tuning the radio to listen to the opera.” [It reminds her of those dreams she once had.] “It’s especially wonderful to listen to with some lemon gelato.”
Habit: Has a bad habit of smoking- whether from cigarettes or hookahs. She claims she’s not that bad and can quit any time. Also tends to hog the bathroom to do her hair and makeup.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mary Valentine (Mary 7)
Known as “America’s Sweetheart”, the darling daughter of the President of the United States is well-regarded and beloved by the citizens. Despite her sheltered tendencies, she truly wants the best for the people she adores. However, unraveling the truth behind the Steel Ball Run and her father’s real motivations may just call into question what she is actually capable of.
F/O: Diego Brando / Hot Pants
Platonic/Familial F/O: Funny Valentine (Father), Scarlet Valentine (Step-Mother), Johnny Joestar (Friend), Gyro Zeppeli (Friend), Lucy Steel (Considers her a younger sister and best friend), Blackmore and Mike O. (bodyguards/friends turned foes later).
Age: 20
Position: Although technically not the First Lady, Mary often takes the role of it when Scarlet is busy. Mary is the one who plans and coordinates most major parties or celebrations within the White House and for the Steel Ball Run. She’s been a hostess since she was a young girl, giving her plenty of experience party planning.
Stand: Happy Nation (Ace of Base song)
Favorite Book: “Pride and Prejudice, of course! Isn’t Mr. Darcy so dreamy? Imagine a man just like him~!”
Habit: Practically incapable of lying. She is a very honest and sincere woman, and can almost never tell a lie.

The Child of God
Part 7
It has come to my attention that this story is pretty appreciated, so, I really want to thank everyone <3
Some are worried Dio might not be very good to his boy, I hope this answers your question haha
Dio was sitting on an uncomfortable stone bench, outside of the villa, in the yet-to-be-cleaned garden, with its growing weeds, grass, and pestering little creatures coming out of their holes in the dirt. The moon was high in the dark-blue sky, outlining with a stark contrast each shape, each infinitely small detail only the vampire could see, the wind softly rustling through the blonde locks of hair cascading down Dio's neck.
The plan was slowly setting into action. His followers grew more and more numerous, out of faith and devotion for him for the most, but a few remained awfully greedy and were already planning to overthrow him in a few years' time, as many people used to the mafia would do. Of course, his goal was far more important than that of the crime business in Italy, and he would learn from his too recent failings in Egypt. The world could have been his, with unsurprising ease, had he kept a clearer head, and more followers. He exhaled, eyes staring back up into the night sky. It was a great shame that more than half his followers either died in combat or simply got too scared to either fight the Joestars or return to his side. It was evident in his eyes that such foolish cowardice would have to be aborted as soon as the earlier signs would appear.
His current close servants showed only devotion as of now: only the ones worthy were allowed in his presence, and in his son's presence, and all of them knew that. From the simple cook to the one or two spirited advisors, passing to the delicate women he kept for his own pleasure, all saw him as a reincarnation of God, and obeyed, believed, and worshipped him as such.
This Buccerrati was the only exception. He was two strings away from death, and Dio only awaited the tiniest mistake to hang the man with his own bowels.
Patters of tiny naked feet pulled him out of his reverie, and Dio felt a smirk grow on his face. Ah, his little one was awake.
"Father?"
Giorno walked up to his father with his hands fiddling with the hem of his long-sleeved pajama shirt, his mouth open and his eyes bagged. Evidently, he couldn't quite sleep, although he was well past his bedtime.
"Come here, Giorno." Dio opened his side by raising his arm up, the child snuggling close with a sigh of contentment. "Why are you up?" He questioned, his eyes focusing on the small frame of his son, observing how easily Giorno could disappear out of view when his arm covered the boy.
"I can't sleep..." Giorno answered with a little voice, his whine clear from any sobs.
"Hm." His father answered, turning his head away to look at the garden with great disinterest.
Giorno didn't explain further for a few minutes, his fingers calming down, the fiddling stopping after realizing he was alright, comforted. Instead of hugging his father's side, he laid his head against his huge thigh in an effort to mimic a pillow. A quite too hard pillow, Dio would assume, for his fragile son. He passed his fingers through the boy's now completely blonde hair, untangling the growing length of each of his locks, and Giorno hummed.
"... I saw mom in my dream." He whispered, the sound suffocated in the fabric of Dio's black pants, knowing perfectly the man would still hear him. "She was smiling at me. But... It was fake. It was an evil smile. The same she'd give me before she'd ask the man to look after me while she left." The child gulped, one hand clutching the nearest fabric he could find. "I don't want to see mom. Never again."
Dio listened, carefully, his hand still combing the hair, and felt a burst of hatred for this wretched couple once again. They were dealt with. Burnt to the ground after a slow, torturous death inflicted by Dio himself. He could still smell their blood oozing out of their bodies with grotesque choking sounds, their limbs detaching from their torsos with a pleasant crack. They were dead.
But they would never be gone. He knew that for a over century now.
"It won't go away, son. Ever." Dio spoke truthfully. "But the pain will stop soon. As you grow older and stronger, you realize people who hurt you once are far weaker than you are now. You must feed on this reality, feed on how insignificant their existence is compared to yours."
"...But... I don't want to remember them. I don't want to think about bad things. Only good things. Like how I'm with you now." Giorno protested, turning his head to meet his father's eyes.
"You can't only have good things in life, Giorno. You shouldn't wish for good things only. That's the way of the weak." Dio stated, his voice warm, but hard enough to impact the soft look in Giorno's eyes.
His son was young. So young. So unfairly treated, so unfairly prepared to meet the world. Dio smiled faintly, his hand resting now on the boy's shoulder. With his fall in Egypt, the Joestars, namely that Japanese punk and Jonathan's grandchild, would not look for him. They would succumb to their own lies about their enemy's death, how they supposedly turned him into ashes before going back home to their families, living shamefully peaceful lives. Dio would never admit defeat, but he now had all the time in the world to build a real empire worthy of himself. In that, he could allow his son to grow at his own pace. At least for his childhood.
"How are things going with your tutor? Do you like him, or perhaps you would like me to replace him?"
Giorno sat up straight, eyes wide with a toothy grin.
"No! He's nice" He chuckled, the bright green of his eyes shining with malice and honesty. "He helps me with some reading, and we play sometimes. Oh, and he teaches me more Italian!"
"Hm, so no replacement yet." The seated man sighed heavily, rolling his eyes jokingly. "But if he does you any wrong, tell me. I will take care of him like the monster he believes I am."
Giorno laughed again, a sound oh so sweet and ringing in the intimate atmosphere like the chime of bells.
"I don't think you're a monster, father."
That... Was not something he thought he could hear from anyone. Surprise painted his features, his dark eyebrows raising in shock as his mouth opened with a silent gasp. Oh, Dio knew how people looked at him, how they shivered with fear, disgust, envy, or lust, how monstrous he was for stealing his adoptive brother's body, for killing men, women, children, and animals without batting an eyelid, how terrible and inhuman his actions and thoughts were to the pleb. His peace was made with that knowledge for years. He knew he was born to a great fate, and for his destiny to be realized, he would do anything. But, Giorno... Innocent little thing, pure little boy.
He wasn't a monster in his eyes.
"Really?" Dio asked, once again caressing the blonde tuff of hair on his son's head.
"Mhm!" Giorno smiled, little dimples on his cheeks before he buried his face in the thigh once again.
The man swallowed faintly, a sense of peace, of achievement like any other overwhelming him like no other before.
"Well, that's kind of bothersome, isn't it?" He wondered out loud, pulling the child closer. "What a strange child you are."
"You're strange too." Giorno countered good-naturedly. Dio chuckled, the vibrations making the boy's head shake.
"You are right."
Dio rubbed his back soothingly, wishing he could use The World and stop time forever. If only to bask in this moment with the precious, strange, brave boy that was his son.

Headcanon: Abbacchio and Atmospheric Memory
"Atmospheric memory" is something he named himself, and he describes it as a "passive ability" of Moody Blues, meaning it happens without him controlling it.
He'll go into a room or touch someone and get this intense energy as if something extreme happened in that place or to that person. If he goes deeper (like touching the ground or the walls with his hands, or holding both of the person's hands) it can be unbearable. But he'll only see what happened if he consciously uses his Stand to replay the events.
He avoids physical contact from most people (Buccellati is one major exception and has told Abbacchio everything about himself anyway) not just because he's aloof, but also because of this. It's an exhausting phenomenon, particularly because he's in the mafia and regularly goes to violent places, and is constantly in the company of people who have done horrible things or have had horrible things done to them.
He was cruel to Giorno at first not just because Abbacchio felt Giorno didn't earn his place in Buccellati's group, but he also has a rotten attitude towards anyone new he meets -- particularly if he knows he's going to have to be spending a lot of tome with them. He doesn't want to know their story. He doesn't want to see more battered children. He's tired of having incomprehensible feelings of dread just from making eye contact with a new person.
Consensually, he already knows about the rest of the group's trauma. They're all close and he genuinely loves them like family. He would come to feel the same way about Giorno eventually, but it was already obvious to him that Giorno certainly didn't come from a happy life and that Abbacchio couldn't bear to so much as place a hand on Giorno's shoulder.
Abbacchio considers every aspect of his Stand to be more of a punishment than a gift, forever cursed to the past, to be reminded of his own failures, to never forget that the justice system isn't what he had dreamed of, and that (from his perspective) everything always turns out for the worst.

What'd Giorno do? Lead half his friends to doom so he could achieve his own silly little dream. Truly, how pathetic can one be to want to become the boss all because of a little tantrum about what you think is right or wrong? It's a shame he achieved it. I don't tend to hold grudges from past lives. This one is obviously the exception. He had no business in our world. I will forever hate him for what he did to us. Even if I didn't, my words would still be true. He killed his friends, even if indirectly, with his selfishness.

Question for the whole team (except Bucciarati. He can too, though, it will be interesting). What do you appreciate most about Bucciarati?
I appreciate everything about Bruno. He helped when I was at my lowest point in life. I love him.
-Abbacchio
There is a lot I appreciate about Bucciarati, but I suppose the thing I appreciate most is that he helped me achieve my dream.
-Giorno Giovanna
Padre took me in when I was just a kid, so I have a lot to thank him for. The thing I most appreciate about him is that he adopted me by his own free will. We were having a normal conversation, and all of a sudden he just asked me if I want him to adopt me.
-Pannacotta Fugo
buccirati helped me fix my eye! and hes super duper cool
-narancia
come on, dude. the guy bailed me out of jail! i gotta appreciate that about him. also trish says that she appreciates bucciarati for saving her

Another idea for la squadra. I’m not sure if you read any Rick Riordan books but if you know then you remember how Leo meets Calypso.
So imagine Sorbet and Gelato escaping their deaths but now the boss is after them, la squadra managed to secure a plane but after a heavy storm they are washed up to darling’s island.
Naturally they didn’t get along at first, when darling first explained they had to fall in love with on or all of them so they can leave, they scoffed and tried to find ways to get off only to fail every time. Formaggio and Melone tried their luck, unfortunately their flirtations didn’t work and made darling dislike them even more.
Months passed and slowly getting more used to each other’s presence. The team was beginning to enjoy their time on the island, it’s been too long since they had a vacation and wanted to indulge on what they have. They managed to formed a friendship, darling would tell them stories on their life before and on the island and La squadra would tell them stories about their life as well. The team found their awe face in describing the modern world endearing and cute.
Surprisingly, darling could see their stands which made them wonder if they are capable of using one. In one particular night, a boat floated near the shore. This shocked the team and darling was petrified, when their words from the beginning re surfaced they realized that darling fell in love.
Sorbet and Gelato first got up, which horrified darling only for them to grab a large sheet to cover the boat, soon the rest of the team tried to cover it was well. Prosciutto kissed their cheek and said they will pretend to never saw it.
In half a year, the hitman team was accustomed island and love their darling. However, whatever entity that placed darling their was displeased at their happiness and tried to kill la squadra. Darling drags them to the boat so they can escape, when they beg them to come they say they couldn’t as the boat is cursed to bring anyone except them.
With a tearful goodbye, they bid farewell to each other but not before all of La squadra promising they they will be back for them.
When la squadra are back in Napoli, they found out a total of five years have passed and a new Don was appointed (Giorno). At first they thought it was a dream until Sorbet and Gelato pulled out the astrolabe and crystal from their cave.
👀👀👀👀👀 I am VERY intrigued 👀
We could have a yandere twist where instead of calypso the reader is Circe and tries to turn their unwanted suitors into boars

Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 1 - 6
Tumblr media
Genre: Action, Comedy, Supernatural
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review:
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an anime series consisting of 6 parts that has been running since 2012. It is based on the manga of the same name created by Hirohiko Araki.
Spoiler alert: If you still haven't watched the anime, please click away from this post now, as the paragraphs below are going to reveal the summary for each part.
Part 1 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is titled “Phantom Blood.” It tells the story of Jonathan Joestar, a young man who finds out that his adopted brother, Dio Brando, is trying to take over his family’s fortune and destroy his life. The two become bitter enemies, and their rivalry sets the stage for the rest of the series. I would say this part is a bit slow as it took place during the 19th century, and the art style can be pretty difficult for most viewers to accept. However, I still think it did a great job of introducing the characters' dynamics and the meaning behind the name 'Jojo,' which is every protagonist from the series is a Joestar's bloodline. (well, except for part 5, or is it?)
Next, part 2 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is called “Battle Tendency.” It takes place 50 years after the events of “Phantom Blood” and follows the story of Joseph Joestar, Jonathan’s grandson. Joseph must fight against an ancient race of beings known as the Pillar Men to save humanity. If you are a fan of humor, then you would love this part, as Joseph is the kind of protagonist who uses his jokes and quick wits to get himself out of dangerous situations. However, as hilarious as Joseph can be, he also shows loyalty and respect to his frenemies like Caesar and Stroheim. As such, my tears rolled down the moment when Joseph mourned for Caesar as he died trying to save his family's pride by fighting Wamuu alone.
Part 3 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is called “Stardust Crusaders.” It follows the story of Jotaro Kujo, Joseph’s grandson, as he travels to Egypt to defeat Dio Brando once and for all. Along the way, he meets a group of other Stand users who help him in his quest. It can be pretty slow in the beginning, but once you reach the middle of the journey, you will feel like you are in a fever dream. You will be caught up on an adventure mixed with laughter and tears like I did. You will also witness one of the most remarkable fight scenes to ever exist in this part.
Tumblr media
Photo courtesy: Jojo Bizarre's Adventure Part 3
Part 4 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is called “Diamond Is Unbreakable.” It takes place in Morioh and follows the story of Josuke Higashikata, a high school student who discovers that he has a Stand. Josuke must use his Stand to protect his town from various threats. If you are a fan of a slice of life combined with a mystery type of anime, this part is definitely your cup of tea. I would not say that part 4 is filled with filler episodes, but it is unique in the sense that it focuses on introducing supporting characters more than the protagonist. At the same time, the dots will be connected at the end, and Josuke will have his character development along with the side characters.
Part 5 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is called “Golden Wind.” It takes place in Italy and follows the story of Giorno Giovanna, a young man who wants to become a gangster and take down the boss of Passione, a powerful mafia organization. As for this part, I feel like it can be a tad bit confusing for viewers in the beginning, as the plot evolves pretty quickly. It felt like a truckload of information had been dumped on me in one second when I watched it. Yet, it also has another legendary fight scene and character development arc for Giorno. If an overpowered (OP) character can be anyone, it would be Giorno. He basically rigged the system, and his Stand can trap anyone in an endless loop of dying and reviving because its power is reverting reality to its original state. Confusing? I totally understand how you feel, but trust me, once you watch it, you will find Giorno so OP that Araki decided not to include him in part 6 or else the story will end before it can even start.
Tumblr media

Part 6 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is called “Stone Ocean.” It follows the story of Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro’s daughter, who fights against a corrupt prison system and tries to clear her name. Surprisingly, she is the only female Jojo in the series, and that doesn't make her any weaker than the previous Jojos. Since this part is the final part of the series, Araki goes on a rampage and adds all sorts of Stands and obstacles for Jolyne to overcome. In this part, I experienced countless twists and turns in the plot, heartbreaking and thought-provoking moments. Fortunately, I would say the anime series ended on a good note, and I am happy that my time and energy spent on it were not wasted.
Overall, I think Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an entertaining anime series that offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of action, comedy, or drama, there’s a special place in this series for you.

Hearts of the Multiverse- Chapter Two: The Bidding
While a lot of the others went off to search for their friends, Miles considered it in his best interest to stay behind at the shrine—for now. However, the only other person who had stayed behind was listening to the radio not too far away from him.
It felt weird, sitting here, not talking. But what in the hell was he supposed to say to someone like Giorno Giovanna?
The static of the old timey radio announcer came through in strange bursts. Giorno sighed as music began to play.
For some reason, Miles decided to try and talk to him. “That guy doesn’t make much sense. All the stuff he says is outdated.”
“Could be from a different time period,” Giorno suggested. “You’re from 2023, correct? You weren’t even born in the year I’m from.”
“Oh real?” Miles asked more out of filling the void.
There was a minute of silence, “You weren’t Spiderman in 2001, were you?”
              “W-what?”
Giorno was quiet for a minute. “It comes with the territory—knowing everyone’s secrets. Don’t worry, your secrets are safe with me, unless you betray me. That would be unwise, Miles Morales.”
His glare was almost as paralyzing as Miles’ own electric abilities. Almost. If he hadn’t beaten an entire spider society, it might’ve shaken him. But Miles knew his worth.
“So, you’re not going to tell me what you’re after,” Miles said casually.
“Depends,” Giorno shrugged. “Maybe I will, maybe I won’t. The question is: can I trust you?”
“I was about to ask you the same question,” Miles said, staring back at him.
It was quiet again. A kind of quiet Miles was getting tired and frustrated with.
“I’ve never been one for trusting people with too much power. It leads to a lot of corruption. I had a dream, and I accomplished it. But I didn’t do it alone. You remind me of someone I met a long time ago. Someone I believe Josuke Higashikata is looking for now. Honest and reliable. You’ve helped Miss Hino around the shrine the most, tried to play the mediator without bullshitting anyone, and you’ve kept neutral on everything.”
“If I’m going to trust you,” Miles said, crossing his arms. “How’d you find out I’m Spiderman?”
“I’m trying to tell you; I’m not in league with Miguel O’Hara, if that’s what you’re worried about,” Giorno said with a sigh. “I have no reason to lie to you, Miles. I gain nothing that way. Think about it.”
And he did. However, should he just trust this guy who gave off serious sketchy vibes?
              “What do you want, Giorno?”
“Help. I need help in finding the monster who almost killed me. That should not have happened. Ever. I can’t die. Not when I’ve just made everything right. I can’t let all that work; all of that damage be for nothing.”
“What attacked you?” Miles asked, softening a little. I mean, he wasn’t a sociopath. Maybe Giorno had been through more than he was letting on. Miles would keep a healthy guard but not a hard heart—or too hard of a heart.
“It was a sort of demon. Tore right through my chest—all surface wounds. Even so, I still couldn’t summon Golden Experience.”
              “Which is?” Miles asked expectantly.
“A stand. You wouldn’t be able to see them. You’re not a stand user,” Giorno explained. “I’m not weak, Miles. Not one bit. And if that thing managed to incapacitate me, then it can easily do the same, if not worse, to anyone here. The only reason I survived is due to my…resource. He’s told me what I need to know, nothing more. And I’m sure he’s not interested in helping out.”
“You can’t tell me who it is, can you?” Miles asked.
Giorno smirked, slightly, “You catch on better than a lot of people I’ve worked with before. Well except B—.”
He cut himself off and shook his head, “No need in dwelling in the past. How’d you know I couldn’t tell you.”
“I just figured it was a ‘Blade of the Frontiers’ situation. Some mystic force helps out and you’re obligated to say nothing. Unless you wanna grow horns like Wyll.”
Giorno paused and chuckled. “Didn’t even think of that. When you’re, unsuspectingly, on death’s door, you’ll make a deal with anyone.”
“You didn’t trade your soul away, did you?”
“Who doesn’t?” Giorno remarked, waving his hand dismissively. He shook his head. “No. I just owe someone a favor. Dunno what it is. Could be anything. But I’ll do anything to make sure I live and ensure my dream’s success. Do you have that kind of dream, Miles?”
              His Dad being alive.
              “Yeah. Yeah, I got that.”
“Then you understand. I need help. Help me find and beat that monster, and I’ll help you. I swear.”
Giorno held out a hand. Miles hesitated for a moment. Giorno seemed as sincere as he could be, but just how sincere was that? Was he just jaded because of Gwen and Peter? Going beyond the Spiderverse was giving him a headache. Still, if Giorno was as powerful as he said, and if he stuck to his word, he might actually be able to help keep his dad alive. And that meant more than some petty trust issues right now.
              “Fine.”
              Miles shook Giorno’s hand.
“Don’t try and trick me,” Miles warned. “I’ve had about the right amount of that for one lifetime.”
Giorno smirked, “Yeah. I was about to say the same thing.”
              …
“So, there are multiple romance options in this game. I really like Karlach, but you can choose whoever you want,” Miles explained.
Luz had lent Miles a copy of her games. Miles figured it would be a good opportunity to explain to Giorno just how badly deals with devils could go down. He probably already knew, but Wyll was an excellent example…and well a badass.
“I didn’t play many video games growing up,” Giorno admitted. “I can’t believe how real this one looks.”
He paused. “Do you have to romance someone?”
“Don’t have to if you don’t want to,” Miles said. “But the characters flirt, like, a lot.”
“Figured you could escape that in fantasy,” Giorno mused.
Footsteps on the wooden floor thudded behind them. “Whoa! Is that what video games look like in the future?”
Miles looked up to see Josuke grinning from ear to ear, absolute delight in his eyes. He sat right beside Miles, pointing to the screen. “The graphics are amazing! You get to make your OWN character? I-I don’t know if I can ever go back to playing Sonic.”
“That’s probably a good thing. Sonic gets a little crazy over the years.”
“How much Sonic is in your time, Miles? Oh, you gotta tell me! Come on! What happens! Do we ever get a new villain besides Robotnik?”
Would making a Snapcube joke even be funny to someone who wouldn’t understand it? Miles shook his head. “There’s a lot you probably don’t know. And there’s too much for me to go over.”
              “Okay…can I play this game?”
“Well, I was going to show Giorno Wyll Ravengard, actually.”
“That’s such a badass name! What’s he? A knight or something?”
“Or something,” Miles chuckled. I mean, yeah, he was. But he’s also a warlock. “Did you have any luck finding any of your friends?”
Josuke slumped his shoulders. “No. But I’m sure they got dragged into this crap, too.”
“What makes you think that?” Miles asked.
“Seems like it would happen,” Josuke said. “Don’t worry. I’m sure they’re okay, but it’d be nice to know where they are. You know?”
              “I’m sure.”
The small radio in the room started to crackle. “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” became a distorted jumble of sound and static. A voice sort of rang through the air. Certain key words like: Operative, O’Hara, Invasion, and Redfield came through. Miles could have sworn he’d heard the name Redfield before, but where? He couldn’t exactly remember.
The other radio announcer came back, and the radio sounded clearer and crisper than ever. “I hate pesky, nosy hijackers. Pardon folks, for the interruption. We’ll now resume our fine broadcast!”
With that, the music came back on. But Miles wasn’t at ease. Miguel had even more help now. Apparently, someone named Redfield. And why was that name so familiar?
“Hey,” Giorno spoke up suddenly. “Why don’t we watch the news? The radio is giving me a headache. And this game is cool and all, but I’d really like an update on current events.”
Miles tossed the remote to Giorno, who turned it back onto the show the chrome-man hosted while Josuke shut off the radio. The chrome-man, Meta, Miles remembered, looked a bit agitated.
“Thank you for tuning in to Meta-Musings. We know you could watch that V drabble, but of course, only the truly intelligent and best watch our programming.”
“This guy’s got an ego,” Miles snorted.
“He must be doing something right. I mean, we’re watching him,” Josuke shrugged.
“There have been reports of a couple of attacks across Tokyo. Luckily, bystanders were able to ward off any danger that may be present to civilian life. They call themselves heart snatchers, in search of hearts. Isn’t that strange? Well, according to some, these things won’t stop until they attack their target. That’s what news we have on this subject. In other news famous record producer Gideon Graves is being sued by Kaiba Corp for abscondment of company property. Defense attorney Phoenix Wright has yet to issue a statement, but Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth is sure of Graves’ guilt!”
“Hey, didn’t you and Hunter fight one of those things?” Miles asked Josuke.
“We did, and I kicked it’s ass,” Josuke said with a slight grin.
“And how’d you do that?” Giorno asked, with a small, almost knowing smirk.
“I just beat it up,” Josuke said, a bit unnerved. He fidgeted in his own shoes; everyone in the room knew he was lying. But Miles wouldn’t be the person to call him out on it.
Heavy footsteps echoed through the hall. “Someone! Please help me!”
Hunter. Miles sprang up and ran to the front door; he saw Hunter carrying Luz—or at least trying to. She was completely unconscious and bleeding from the top of her head. She had a couple of bruises on her face and arms, and Hunter looked roughly the same (minus the head injury).
              “What happened?” Miles asked.
“There was another monster. It tried to do that thing again, but Luz defended me. It just…hit so hard!”
He was near sobs as he looked around the room, finally spotting Josuke. “Hey! Josuke, do you think you can do that…thing?”
Josuke didn’t hesitate. He just nodded and knelt down next to Luz. Within the blink of an eye, Luz’s injuries were gone. No trace of them remained. He checked her pulse and took a breath. “She’s going to be okay. She’ll probably just need some rest.”
“Th-thank you,” Hunter said, relaxing a little. “I don’t know why it came back. I thought we got rid of it.”
“According to the news, those monsters don’t stop until they get what they want,” Giorno said flatly. Miles gave him a small glare. “What? He should know.”
Miles could sense something nearby. It wasn’t anything good. He peeked out the window, but he couldn’t see anything. No pink, clown monsters. Still, the feeling was there. He noticed Rei, out of the corner of his eye. She looked weary and stressed. She held a small slip of paper in her hand and was walking in the direction of the tree that held a lot of wishes tied to its branches. The tree…something was wrong with the tree!
“Rei—wait!” Miles called out, trying to run over before she could touch the tree.
It was too late. As soon as she tried to tie her piece of paper to the tree, a purple light blinded the both of them. Instead of the tree was a freaky, purple monster with gigantic, beaded hair, orange vest, and black star on its chest. Just like Hunter and Josuke had described.
“Who are you?” Rei demanded, backing away.
A voice spoke up behind them. “Mikuji! Take the target’s pure heart.”
Miles looked up to the tops of the trees where the voice came from, and he then saw a woman in a red dress with long, blood-red hair. Her eyes were like that of a snake. While Miles wasn’t usually one to judge, she had the whole ‘evil villain’ look down.
The monster pounced forward, lunging at Rei. Miles was faster. He used the trees to propel himself forward with webbing, then he kicked the monster in its abdomen, sending it flying backwards.
“Oh? So, you’re not just some ordinary human. We’ve come across quite a few of you lately,” the red lady said, raising an eyebrow. “However, you’re not our target—today.”
Miles barely dodged the swing of the monster’s hair. It whooshed by, implying heavy weight. However, it came back, swinging again. And again. Like a jump-rope. That was until Miles got pissed off; he grabbed the rock-like ponytail and tried his best with electricity. It merely laughed and threw him into one of the bushes beside the entrance of the shrine.
“My turn, then,” he heard Josuke say. “DORA!”
The monster reeled back, by some unseen force. Meanwhile, someone wrenched a hand through the bush and helped pull Miles up.
“So, that’s the monster,” Giorno murmured. “It doesn’t look like the one I fought at all.”
“Yeah, and it’s trying to attack Rei, so let’s make sure it doesn’t do that,” Miles said.
              Giorno nodded. “Golden Experience!”
              “MUDA!”
The monster, who was struggling to get up, fell backwards again.
“Now you three are getting on my nerves. Leave me to do my work in peace!”
The woman in red materialized a staff from thin air and swung it propelling a wave of purple energy towards the trio. Miles felt paralyzed the instant the energy struck him. He tried to turn his head, but his body wouldn’t comply.
“W-Why is this happening?” He heard Giorno mutter. “This shouldn’t be happening to me!”
The Red Lady, now seemingly satisfied, turned back to Rei. The monster slammed her into the outside wall of the shrine. It grabbed her wrists, sticking them to the wall by replicating its own hands into a sturdy clay that held her in place.
“Stop right there!” a familiar voice spoke up.
The girl with the noodle-hair, Usagi, stood at the entrance to the shrine. The other girls followed quickly behind her. Usagi started to pull something from her pocket but was quickly tackled by the monster. It flung ties around all the girls, trapping them to the trees. Miles tried pushing himself off the ground, absorbing the energy, but it wasn’t…right. It wasn’t electricity at all!
              “Damn it!”
“NO!” The blonde girl screamed. The monster snatched an object from her hand, casing it in whatever concrete it had trapped Rei in.
“Evil monster begone from this holy place where friends and innocent people gather!” a deep voice announced. Some guy in a tuxedo and mask stood on the ledge.
The monster shot another one of those trap things at him, and he toppled over the ledge he was standing on.
“M-much good he was,” Josuke muttered, still trying to stand.
“Mikuji! No more distractions! Do it now!”
The monster nodded and shot a ray of dark energy at Rei from a star on its body. She screamed as a bright, pink crystal appeared in front of her body, and then the light in her eyes seemed to dim as she slumped over.
“Excellent work, Mikuji!” the red lady said, “Now, hand me the heart crystal and we’ll be on our way.”
“No! You can’t!” Usagi screamed. “Rei! Wake up! Don’t do this! Rei!”
Before the monster could reach the crystal, a flash of gold zipped by, nabbing it instead. Hunter stood defensively in front of Rei. “You want to hurt someone; you’ll have to go through me!”
The red witch was taken aback for a moment before chuckling. “See Mikuji? We pick our targets well! Check him, too.”
The monster lunged at Hunter; however, two bolts of fire struck the monster, carefully fired from the entrance. The red witch didn’t have time to be shocked before a boomerang struck her in the head, ruining her concentration. Two more bursts of fire and the monster was done, reduced to ash. The boomerang flew back to its owner—Zuko and Sokka stood at the entrance. Flame still danced in Zuko’s palm.
              “Who are you brats?”
“Guests of the shrine,” Sokka said.
“It’s in your best interest to leave now. Leave and you won’t end up like that thing,” Zuko warned, a scowl on his face.
“Hmph. Noted.” The witch looked at Hunter. “Don’t think you’re in the clear yet.”
Giorno stood up, and without a moment’s hesitation, “MUDA!”
The red witch stumbled backwards, a trickle of blood dripping from her nose. She stared at Giorno as if he’d just managed to make pigs fly. “You brat! I’ll get you for that! You’ll all pay for what’s been done today! Every single one of you!”
With that, she disappeared into a wave of flowery rose petals, leaving the group weary, astounded, and most importantly—angry. Miles felt the most frustrated. All of those feats against the spider society meant nothing against her. Why? What was that energy? What was that monster? And the crystal…the crystal!
Miles ran over to Rei. Hunter was already beside her. He placed the crystal above her body, and it sort of just sank down and dematerialized. Hunter looked to Miles. “Do you think that worked?”
The color was already starting to return to Rei’s face. Miles nodded. “Yeah, dude. You okay?”
Hunter hesitated and gave a weak nod. “Yeah. I’m good. You? She got you guys pretty good.”
Miles shook his head. “That was nothing. Don’t worry about it.”
He looked up to see Usagi and her friend, now free from their bindings, running over to join them. Usagi held Rei up, carefully. “Rei! Rei! Are you alright? Speak to me!”
Rei slowly opened her eyes, groaning as she did so. “Unnn, I-I’m okay.”
Usagi, probably, crushed Rei in a vice-like grip. “Rei! I’m so happy you’re okay!”
“Monsters,” Sokka said. “Of course there are monsters here.”
“The most important thing is making sure we can keep people safe,” Miles said. He felt a pair of eyes on him. He glanced up at the trees. Two mysterious figures were standing there! “Hey! Who are you?”
One of the figures spoke. “She didn’t have a pure heart. We’ll be keeping an eye on those daimon, too.”
              “Why?” Zuko questioned.
“It’s our duty,” the other spoke as if shrugging. “You’ll see us around more often.”
With that, they were gone. They leapt from the trees and away from the shrine.
“And even more mystery,” Josuke said, folding his arms.
              “Fantastic,” Sokka dead-panned agreed.
“Whatever happens,” Giorno said. “They won’t be able to do that again. I’ll make sure of it.”
