So it begins: the festive Season, in which Team Dark try to stick increasingly stupid decorations on eachother.

It started with Rouge bedazzling Omega with some snowflake decalls for the season. Just something 'classy' and 'joyful'.

Omega is nothing if not an enthusiastic participator, and began decorating her, too. It took him some time to work out that bows and tinsel were a yes, sweet wrappers and return labels from Shmamazon are a no.

But everything would change for them when they noticed: Shadow's quills are perfectly shaped like the branches of a Christmas tree. They can hold many baubles, strings of beads, and even a star, if you can just get them on without him noticing.

So now Christmas, like everything in the Team Dark Base of Operations, is a warzone. Some use sleight of hand, others brazen moves so quick you can't question them, and the Omega's of the world will periodically dump glitter boxes on them all.

But the true game begins when someone else is coming, and they have to work together to hide the evidence that they could ever be so silly. Christmas Control 💎✨️

💎DEMON FORMS: MAMMON💰

AN: Finally finished Mammon's part! If you want to see more of my writing check #shrimpwrites and for just the demon form stuff you can look at #obey me worldbuilding :)

TWs: body mutilation (feather plucking), bones, body horror if you squint?, idk just demons looking demonic.

● Level 1.5. The yellow streaks in his hair are metallic. It looks like he has hair tinsel, but it's just how his hair is. Shiney babe. His hair reflects light. The more he expresses/feels/gives in to his greed, the more the blue portion of his eyes gets swallowed up by the yellow. His eyes are also metallic. Mammon has three teeth on either side of his mouth that are extremely sharp and pointed. It's his canines and the ones on either side. His lower jaw looks similar, but the teeth are smaller and more dull.

Demons are weird. That is one of the first things you learn in the Devildom. Wrath demons have a higher body temperature, sloth demons all smell like lavender, and greed demons are Very Shiny. At first, you thought it was a trick of the light, the way Mammon's eyes seem to look suspiciously like Grimm. But then you noticed that, no, his eyes are seriously metallic. His hair, too. You often find yourself entranced by the way the yellow streaks in Mammon's hair glitter and shine while he goes on about another convoluted money-making scheme.

● Level 2. His wings look cool, right? Yeah guess what those are his fucking bones poking out. He had feathers at one point, similar to Lucifer. But he… had a run in with some shady demons before the demon brothers were actually respected and…. they ripped his feathers out. One feather for every Grimm he owed. They damaged his wings to the point that the feathers can't grow back. He had to re-teach himself how to fly. His ears are replaced with a small pair of wings. How can he hear? Idk but those are the only undamaged feathers on his body and he takes care of them. He will preen for hours. Let him enjoy his feathers. Also his teeth get more sharp and pointy with each level.

For Mammon, letting you touch his ear feathers is a big deal, and you know it. One time, you saw an old portrait of the seven brothers when they first fell, and Mammon's wings looked a lot like Lucifer's. Which surprised you, given his current leathery wings. When you worked up to courage to ask about it, the second born sadly explained what happened. Between that and how careful he is with the feathers that remain, you never asked to touch his ears. But one afternoon, after a school-wide paintball game, Mammon shyly knocked on your door, asking for some help getting paint from between his feathers. You gladly accepted. Now you have a demon on your lap, his ear wings flapping as you gently clean and dry them. Sometimes, in the privacy of your room, Mammon will let you touch the soft feathers.

● Level 3. HARPY BOY! He has clawed feet with giant talons. His hands also become longer and more twisted, curling into talons that are almost as sharp as the ones on his feet. In this form, he wears a crown of crow skulls that have been dipped in gold. Ngl, he kinda looks like a plucked chicken from the waist up, but it's OK. we love him anyway. He does have a few sparse feathers here and there, but not much. His eyebrows become feathers, as well as most body hair. His legs are slightly scaly in texture. It gets more noticeable at about halfway down his calves. Mammon's arms and legs have sparse iridescent scales, concentrated around his clawed hands and feet.

Mammon almost never loses control of his form because of anger. In fact, the first time you saw it happen was because a demon at RAD thought it would be funny to trip you down the stairs. You hit your head and needed stitches. Mammon sat with you the entire time Satan was tending your new wound. He forgot that humans usually use painkillers, so Mammon growled in anger every time you winced in pain. You bit the inside of your cheek in an attempt to prevent the second born from killing his younger brother. The whole time, Mammon had his clawed feet wrapped around the back of the couch as he held your hand, careful of his sharp nails. When you were all fixed up, Mammon even let you wear his crow skull crown until your forehead heals.

● Level 4. His face is elongated and covered in a mix of shiny scales and tiny feathers that can't grow properly. It ends in a golden, razor-sharp beak. His arms and wings fuse together so that he has a single pair of MASSIVE leathery wings that end in clawed hands that are able to easily wrap around your torso. He's a big boy. As in, Mammon can not fit through regular doorways. He can't fully stretch out his wings inside. He has a thin feathery tail and a second pair of horns on his head. Both sets of horns are decorated in precious jewels and gold.

The two of you were laying outside on the grass. Mammon had wanted to "stretch his wings." Apparently, it can be uncomfortable for demons if they go too long without allowing themselves to exist in their higher level forms. You had fun watching Mammon fly around until he tired himself out. Gliding through the air a final time, the Great Mammon lands next to you, the flapping of his wings creating a fast of wind that messes up your hair. You expect that he will go back to a more familiar form and go inside, but instead, Mammon yawns before wrapping you up in his large wings, the leathery membranes cocooning you with no chance of escape. You gladly accept your fate and fall asleep in the grass while Mammon happily clicks his beak at you.

"Oh," Nick says again, this time gleefully, seemingly having picked up on Harry's distress. "Looks like we've got a story here! Are you going to call or delete her number?"

Her number. So Nick thinks it's a girl. Well, Harry can't blame him: 'Lou' is kind of an androgynous nickname. His stylist's name is Lou.

But this Lou, well, Louis, he's kind of, really, really not a girl. He's really pretty though, which, is something.

(Or: AU where Harry's in One Direction, Louis isn't, and they reconnect over a game of 'Call or Delete'.)

Socially-speaking, Coral is more motivated by the opportunity to make friends than just getting attention (as opposed to other members of the system). Coral likes being organized and knowing exactly what they are going to do. This contributes to them helping the system keep on top of daily tasks. Mako is the most responsibility-oriented member of the subsystem and helps them maintain a balance between doing the things they want to do and doing the things they need to, frequently initiating tasks. Mako is also a protector for the system, being someone who is less afraid of setting boundaries or standing up for themself than other members of the subsystem are. It may, however, sometimes be aggressive in its protection of the system and may need to work through these tendencies. He also helps the system manage therapy, particularly helping them prepare for sessions, implement coping skills, and write in journals. His protective nature can help him recognize situations in which the system's therapist may not be working in their best interest, and he is not afraid to discuss this if needed. Its fondness for journaling extends to an interest in writing in general, especially horror (which is their favorite genre of movie as well). Rina has some of the same protector tendencies as Mako does with regards to protecting the system from having their boundaries disrespected, but kelp is more likely to handle those situations not by firmly standing up for itself but by removing itself from the situation altogether. Bubbles is an age slider and/or age regressor (whichever fits in better with the system) who holds feelings of happiness, delight, and innocence for the system. Eir oldest age is the same as the body, but ey age-slides/regresses to as young as five years old and is often supervised by Rina and/or Mako. They relate to the cuteness and playfulness of sea otters. They are less affected by trauma and negative emotions the system experiences and, if such things are overwhelming the system, ey can take over the front and play toys or video games to self-soothe. When ey is at a younger age, ey prefers a caretaker or a manager to be fronting with em and will likely try to front trigger one if they are fronting without one. (Nightbringer 8-A spoilers below the cut!)

It's a beautiful day in the Celestial Realm. Light shimmers off the ground like magic, and a gentle wash of warm sunlight glows upon everything in sight. Greenery entwines itself elegantly over the splendid white marble of the palace. It's the kind of day that reminds Lucifer of everything that makes the Celestial Realm so lovely. His home, the only home he's ever known. The only one he's ever wanted to know. Beautiful, shining. Perfection.

Just like he's supposed to be.

That's why, the first time Lucifer had descended to the Devildom, he was sure he would not be impressed. His landing seemed to confirm it -- the soil was awful, the chaos too noisy, the endless dark of the sky casting a veneer of unease over everything.

And then there were the demons -- wicked, abominable monsters, tricky and untrustworthy. There wasn't a moment to let his guard down., in a place like this. The demon prince had greeted him warmly, sure. The prince's butler was ever smiling and polite to him, if a tad derisive about the angel's alarm at the blackberry filling inside his cake. But Lucifer refused not to be too careful. He knew all about the ways demons used their honeyed words to manipulate the innocent into doing their bidding.

So certainly, the prince's goals, as he described them, seemed lofty and admirable -- a shining future for the betterment of all. But the more the diamond glitters, the more it can deceive. Demons are not to be trusted. Isn't that right?

Yet it is he himself, the illustrious morning star of the Celestial Realm, who finds himself lying and deceiving lately. The ideals that the demon prince espouses, suspicious as their speaker may be, do seem righteous, and Lucifer cannot understand why his Father keeps dismissing them out of hand. Meanwhile, his beloved sister's trial awaits, just days away, and she seems destined to find no mercy. Conflict swirls in his mind constantly, thoughts he knows he can't share with any of the other angels. Especially not with any of his fellow seraphs, his heart drifting away with the pull of his secrets -- from Michael, from Raphael, even from Simeon.

Of course, he knows how sharp Simeon can be. Easygoing though he may seem, he has never been so easily deceived. He's sure, sitting across from him even now, cheerfully chatting over tea together, that his dear friend can tell just how much has been weighing on his mind, even if he doesn't know exactly what that weight is about.

But he doesn't ask, and for that, Lucifer is grateful.

"Raphael," Simeon says instead, "why don't you sing for us? Lucifer has been away on business so often lately, I'm sure he misses hearing your song."

The younger seraph nods seriously. His voice is clear and light as he begins, as if purifying the very air it fills with his music. Simeon, brown hair gleaming golden with sunlight, hums quietly along with a sweet smile, and reaches over to refill his friend's now-empty cup.

As the warm floral scent wafts up gently off the drink, slowly the thoughts swirling in Lucifer's head begin to finally melt away -- at least for now. At least for today. He can let himself have this -- one beautiful, shining day in the Celestial Realm, relaxing with his closest friend and just enjoying the perfection of it all.

Soon, he thinks to himself. Soon, there will be no more lies. No more deception.

I love how applejack gave them her old clubhouse to use and that it's located in sweet apple acres, I like the idea of applejack coming to check on them sometimes or maybe bringing them freshly baked cookies from time to time 🍪🧡 and how fun wouldn't it be to play together amongst all the apple trees (when they aren't busy crusading ofcourse! 😄)

the cmc in general: they turned something they were teased for and that used to weigh them down into something they could bond over and in turn made a life long friendship stronger than the toughest of diamonds 💎👑 later inspiring and helping others who are unsure of their destinies just as they were and I think that is so powerful! the episode call of the cutie is a great introduction that really leaves you wanting to see what they're going to do next and how they will achieve their goal 🧡💛💜

they're the sisters of rarity, rainbow dash and applejack! which makes for some great episodes featuring them all together. sleepless in ponyville, the cart before the ponies & campfire tales for example! spending so much time together would not only bring them closer with their sisters but it probably brought applejack, rarity and rainbow dash closer too, and I love that!

all of their songs are great! their voices blend together very nicely in my opinion. Amanda Renberg as Scootaloo, Linn Johnsson as Apple Bloom and Annelie Heed as Sweetie Belle all did a wonderful job voicing their characters in the iconic trio! (ofcourse this is from my perspective, and those are the swedish voices but the same can be said for the original english ones!😊) my personal favourites of the cmc songs are babs seed, hearts as strong as horses, find the purpose in your life and all of the songs in the crusaders of the lost mark (& they are all so fun to sing!) 🎵

favourite cmc episode: crusaders of the lost mark! all of their searching finally paying off, helping their bully to see her purpose and the fact that their special talent turns out to be helping others find/rediscover their own special talent is just PERFECT, we were all wondering how it would turn out right? and this was just better than every other potential outcome, they all belong together to help others find themselves, just as they did! 🥺😌🧡💜💛

Apple bloom 🍎🌸: has my favourite colour scheme, she reminds me of apple flavoured candy, I'm also biased towards anything fruit themed! and I adore her bow!! 🍎💛🎀 I can relate to her fear of being alone the episode on your marks and also to how she's scared at one point that her family won't like her if she turns out to be different to them (when she's scared her cutie mark won't be apple related). and I love her relationship with her family, the end of family appreciation day and brotherhooves social just warms my heart! 💛🍎💚🥧 also I love the cupcake song scene where she's baking with pinkie and that she got interested in potions and magic after meeting zecora! (also the fact that she as a foal was the first to befriend zecora and not be so judgmental!!)

favourite apple bloom episode: (oh glitter all of these are so hard to pick!! 🤣 but I think cutie pox, somepony to watch over me or call of the cutie 🍎🌸💛🎀

scootaloo⚡🛴🧡: I actually have only watched flight to the finish once because while it has been dubbed I somehow missed it (and can't find the whole episode in swedish, only the songs) but I have watched it on my latest rewatch (where I watched it in english :) and I love it so much, I'm not physically disabled myself, I am mentally disabled (though I feel really weird saying that for some reason) but I think scootaloo is a really great disabled character because being disabled is not her whole character, far from, and I think there should be more characters like her! I also think she's really funny, her scooter tricks are awesome and I adore her idolizing rainbow dash and wishing for her to be her sister and then in sleepless in ponyville when she's scared of rainbow dash not thinking she's cool enough then rainbow admits that she's scared sometimes too and that it doesn't make her weak and then she like adopts her as her sister and aaaaaaaahhh!!! I love found family story lines so much, also the episodes parental glideance in season 7 and the washouts in season 8 broke my heart and then put it back together! 😂🌈🧡⚡and I love how she stood up for herself and what she wants to her parents in the last crusade in season 9, people often disregard kids feelings because they're "just kids" and I think scootaloo is a really strong pony for doing what she did in that episode 🧡🛴

sweetie belle 🎶💗🔔: she's just precious! her singing voice is so beautiful and I like how she has a hard time speaking up and putting together words sometimes because I can relate and it's really funny! I love sisterhooves social and I laugh every time I watch that scene where she argues with rarity and comes to the conclusion that applejack should be rarity's sister so she can teach her how to be a good one 😂 oh or when apple bloom allows her to "borrow" applejack as a sister for "ONE DAY"-🍎🌸 to me she is a very caring pony and maybe the most relatable of the 3 to me personally (all though saying that I feel like I find all of them relatable but in different ways)

I was tagged by the ever lovely @priincebutt…I’m posting an excerpt from Love on the Menu, the first part of which I will be posting this Thursday! So keep your eyes peeled for that. This one contains a line I’m quite proud of. As I told PB, I got a little poetical.

It was for the best, Henry reasoned with himself at the time. Another thing Henry learned about working in restaurants was how dating a coworker could be a recipe for disaster. June and Nora appeared to be the exception, but there had been plenty of examples of servers sleeping with each other or someone from the back of house and it ending badly. Sure, it was fun to gossip and laugh about but not worth the drama for him personally. Thinking of Megan, a part of him worried that he was in a situation just like her. What if Alex was just flirting with him because he knew it paid to get in good with the host? Logically, Henry knew that wasn’t true. Alex was one of the most genuine people he had ever met. But when it came to matters of the heart, Henry’s mind defied all logic and reason. So he pined. He stored every wink, every touch, every term of endearment, away like gemstones to be pulled out in his lonely moments and admired as they glittered and shone bright.

📚 - The pile of manuscripts call to you, each lovingly inked and hand-bound, filled with truly incredible stories. The voice is pleasant and good-natured, telling you, "It is no bad thing to celebrate a simple life."
