Something I often see in discussions regarding Hiccup wanting to change people's minds, is him trying to change Grimmel's being accepted as a part of the story, and it being used as an example of Hiccup's flaws. Except, if my memory serves me correctly, that never actually happened.

Prior to the final battle, Hiccup and Grimmel have three interactions ; when they first meet, when Hiccup & the gang try to capture him, then when Toothless & LF get taken. Not once, or in any of the few times where he's mentioned outside of his scenes, is the idea of changing Grimmel's mind brought up. Hiccup does not attempt to have a conversation about it with neither Grimmel nor the other characters.

In the third movie, Hiccup's motive to change people's minds and get them on Berk's side was removed. It feels like a bit of retcon, because I don't remember anything about Hiccup saying he's not gonna repeat his mistake with Drago.

Happy Monday Lovely fandom. Not a ton in these episodes for them. Gonna combine these two. Thank you for idea D ❤️ These are my least fav of the season. Not gonna lie whenever I reach the Simone eps in a rewatch I skip around her stuff LOL Never resonated with me. So it’s funny the first ep is called Simone and I won’t really be covering her much at all. Probably be a shorter one with some crumbs. Let’s get going though shall we?

4x19 Simone/4x20 Enervo

We start off with an actual bang. John and Lucy respond to a suspicious activity call. It's near a power station in Griffith Park. They find a bomb and get out just in time but not before they’re thrown to the ground by the blast. They get thrown pretty damn far and are fairly banged up. It's insane how much damage they took even clearing the building.

Tim shows up to the scene and does a worried husband look I love. Checking in on her by doing a once over once he makes it to them. Does a silent check in as he reports it’ll take 12 hours to fix the damaged power station. The silent check in is everything. Once again it’s the little things I cherish especially in low content episodes. It's subtle but noticeable once you know it's there. Trying to contain his concern with her all banged up. It’s ok love your wifey is fine hehe

I love these two shots for quite a few reasons. One you know I love the tall/smol shots. I wish I could put into words why I love it so very much. It’s just aesthetically pleasing is one of the reasons I suppose. All I know is I’m a sucker for it. Second how in-sync they are in their movements and how they mirror one another in the second one.

Third the lack of personal space. Especially in that first gif. Theme of this season I adore so much. Always that gravitational pull of theirs. Lastly look at them. They’re gorgeous just standing next to one another. Also it is unfair Lucy is covered in dirt and soot and looks amazing still. Not fair haha

Oh right there’s a SL too LOL Not me just gawking at them haha The feds show up because this is a terrorist attack. They ask Nolan and Lucy about what they remember about the bomb. Nolan of course is no help. Smh Lucy is able to describe little better for them. FBI says they’re taking over from here. Grey fights it since John and Lucy were almost killed discovering the bomb. Garza concedes and they’re able to work together on this one.

We rejoin our ship headed towards National Guard Armory. They’ve deduced this guys real target was this. Reason he shut down the power was to gain access inside there. They’re en-route to catch him. They find out he’s already on the move and they’ve gotta catch him. Which leads us to this car chase. First off let’s note Lucy getting to drive in this intense moment. It is more common these days for them. I just love seeing Tim trust her so implicitly nowadays. That this is new normal for them. *heart clutch*

Control freak in him has eased up quite a bit with her at least. Maybe not with anyone else LOL Once again it's the little things to love. The spurts of growth. They make me happy. Anyways dude stole a friggin Humvee so taking him down will not be easy. Nolan says they need to stop this guy. No shit John...What do you think the purpose of this chase is? To have fun at a high speeds in a shop for kicks?

Sometimes the words out of his mouth floor me..and not in a good way. Tim is using his military experience in this moment. (Yum) Explains why that’s not going to be easy. He’s basically encased himself in a mini tank. Their usual pit maneuver isn’t going to work on this guy. Nolan offering up another solution. I adore the silent communication and the look. That automatic instinct to check in with each other. I'll never be over it. I love watching them in the field so very much. Just a well oiled machine. Tim is considering Nolan’s suggestion then checking in with wifey before executing it. Love it.

Tim explains their plan to Nolan while Lucy listens in. Tim advices they both hit the doors. Tells them it has to be at the same time though. To avoid the wheels at all costs. Lucy needing to know the why of course. Asks why they can’t hit the tires? Tim explains they’ll die and be a cautionary tale for future rookies LOL Gotta love Lucy questioning why they can't in the middle of a high speed chase. I'm sure she wasn't expecting that to be his answer ha.

Her comment about her mom cracks me up. Anything to prove to her mother she’s wrong and she is right about being a cop. Her first thought not being she’ll die. No it’ll be about her mother being right about her career choice. Lmao Oh Lucy Chen I love you. Also I relate to this train of thought all too well sadly. I do love her saying they’ll be disgraced together. Be more married please.

Tim doesn’t even fight her on this thought. Lucy basically saying if I’m going down you’re coming with. Tim isn’t fighting her at all. His silence is saying lead the way. They’re in this together and I love that so very much. Being a literal ride or die right now in this moment.

I love me some crumbs in a low content ep. Also only they could banter during a high pressure situation and still get the job done. I love them so much. They are successful but find out the driver isn’t their guy but a decoy. Wah Wah.

They regroup at the station after their chase. Nolan asking Lucy if she got any sleep? She then calls out Tim for getting some. Not only does she call him out but nicknames him 'Sleeping beauty.' Looking directly at him the entire time. Making sure he know she is talking about him and only him. All aboard the flirt train Nolan is an unwilling participant in the matter haha

Such blatant flirty flirts. Tim fires back a sassy reply to her jab. Just openly flirting and doing heart eyes out in the open. Ain’t no thang this season lol Shoots back not to be jealous he was allowed to sleep and she hasn’t. Lucy’s reaction is the best. That fond exasperation they’ve had all season long. So used to her husband antics at this point but has to let him know she’s annoyed at him. Damnit I love them sfm.

They end up finding his base of operations. Lucy of course breaking the case. Cause she’s brilliant finds a word he’s written down by doing an etching off a wall he used. ‘Enervo’ Garza telling them it means 'To deprive of power.' John asks Tim what the military’s first target is? I love watching Tim flex his military background again. It’s sexy af. Seriously gets me hot and bothered *fans self* Tim and Lucy cracking this case right open. You’re welcome everyone haha That’s it for this one. Low content one since it was meant to launch rookie feds. Next one has even less so this is why we’re combining them.

4x20 Enervo.

We find out he’s rented U-Haul’s and it’s going to take out the biggest roads with them. Crippling the city and killing thousands. They can't get a warrant right away to track them so everyone is in on the hunt. As always I love watching them in action in the field. That second gif their cop eyes have been activated. You can see them combing the street together. They’re so in-sync as they search the streets for one of the five U-Haul’s. I could go on and on about how much I love their work dynamic I really could. But I'll stop there ha

The trucks are divided up into states. Cause well that’s U-haul haha if you’ve ever driven one you’d know. Always got graphics or other states on them. One has already exploded unfortunately so they're down to 4 trucks that need to be found. Lucy and Tim spot ‘Florida’ and are in pursuit of it. I love how calm they look. I'm not even 100% sure of what to ADD because, other than the eps I haven't seen yet, this is exactly how I feel as well HAISHDOS

I will say, I feel like TDR Karr and KvK Karr are practically different characters, like I have no problem saying I sympathize with him because to me he is an emotionally stunted sweet boy like in TDR, and KvK was just. him in the worst timeline having absolutely lost his shit. I will say, even in this timeline I don't think he was actually intending on killing anyone other than Michael.... so he's still a better person than like most of the villains in this show.

I guess I do have two more for y'all

I really do like April. The circumstances of her being added to the show suuuuck, and I get how some people would find it hard to look past, but as her own character she's great. It's like a look into an alternate timeline where instead of the mechanic character being straight-laced she was instead just as chaotic if not more than Michael. I don't like how she was in Return to Cadiz but other than that, great character.

The Goliath Returns two-parter is ACTUALLY so uncomfortably realistic and vivid with the villain plans that I genuinely do not enjoy it. Like, say what you will about KvK and the scene with Mandy, but I don't think that can really hold a candle to the way Garthe taunts the whole main cast as he gleefully plans to kill them, Garthe harasses April in an explicit manner, Garthe through his henchmen taunts Kitt's life too except in an even more effed up way where he'd basically be a slave for the rest of forever in Goliath???, and worst of all, how Adrienne harasses Michael in a similarly explicit way to April, except cranked to 100 and with some horrific implications caused by an ad break. I may be a little overdramatic here and fueled by first watch emotions, but I genuinely don't plan on rewatching to find out bc I felt icky the whole time. There are episodes that are worse quality-wise, but there are none I'd like to watch less.

and potentially 3. I am very conflicted on how to feel about Devon, like in general. I used to outright hate him I won't lie to you, I uh I've come to my senses about that he's mostly a good character, but I do think the fandom glorifies him more than is seemingly earned. Likeee, he's definitely a sort of father figure to Bonnie and at times Michael but it's hard for me to give him that credit when it comes to Kitt, he's kinda cold to Kitt most of the time. He also perpetuates the stuuupid "you can't tell her because it's dangerous even though if anything her knowing that bad people are after you could help her in case of an emergency know who to call and why but we don't talk about that part it's daaangewous" trope with Stevie when Michael probably would have told her the truth, and I haaaate that trope DC's Arrowverse killed it for me forever it's just awful. I wish he'd have been able to interact with Kitt alone ,,, EVER? And I wish that the things he said to Kitt didn't usually boil down to "stop complaining smh my head"... and I wish he was more sensitive to Michael's feelings about the literal love of his life. ALSO am I going crazy or does the first Goliath two-parter kinda imply a love affair situation going on w him and Elizabeth? So much for being a loyal friend to Wilton, I guess

hot take like 3.5, y'all a lot of Kitt's dialogue is so cringeyyy holy crap like I love the snarky smart boy that we all know and love and that's how the fandom portrays him most of the time, but the show itself isn't afraid to have him like ogle at women a bit which is weeeird because he's a friggen car or say stuff that makes no fricken sense for him to say or like how in Cadiz he got really fixated on pirates for some reason or he just like copies stuff from his surroundings that genuinely I don't think he'd be caught dead saying bc it's slang and it's kind of cute but also feels weirdly out of character and like writers why why'd you have to be so 80s. I still love HIM I just don't think the writers . understood him like I do #delusion

I’ll go first. Here’s a couple of mine.

1. Maybe not a hot take but The Scent Of Roses was the perfect finale, and should have been the season and series ending.

2. KITT’s character fell flat at many points in s4. It was disappointing to me honestly.

3. I’m still 50/50 on KARR even after like 100+ watch throughs of this show- I sympathize with him but then I also see him how FLAG sees him.

4. I absolutely love the dynamic between Bonnie and Michael and how it evolves from him hitting on her, to realizing she’s not going to fall for his crap, to practically siblings.

5. Again this one probably isn’t a hot take, but I do believe after Knight Of The Juggernaut, RC3 was severely underused, and practically all of his potential was lost.

6. I enjoy watching KITTNAP

7. TDR > KVK minus KARR’s look, because if we are going for looks, it’s KVK > TDR

8. Some of the best episodes are when Michael’s past are brought into it.

9. I would have loved to see more references to Michael’s past, specifically the Vietnam part.

10. I wanted so badly to have more backstory to both KITT and KARR, Devon, Bonnie, and RC3.

People always tell me that I’m wrong to hate Boruto (the character), saying he had so much development and I should just ignore him being ungrateful for his father’s service to his family and the village, but I don’t care. You want to know why? I was just like Boruto as a kid, but worse.

When I was very young, my parents both had shift jobs, and as such, we were left alone most of the time. Sometimes we were left alone at night and that’s a recipe for disaster when you have a 5 year old, a 6 year old, and an 11 year old as the only ones in the house. One time we almost burnt down the place cause we forgot to turn off the stove. And adding onto that, my parents were never able to make it to important events, something my mom still feels guilty about years later.

My reason for saying all this? It’s saying that Boruto has no reason to complain. At least he has a stay-at-home mom (a shitty one, but a mom nonetheless)! Me and my siblings got stuck with crappy babysitters that kept themselves getting fired. I never complained because I understood they were doing this for us and to keep a roof over our heads. Boruto saying Naruto has no idea what a father should be like since he didn’t have one is so insensitive I was never able to sympathize with him. I don’t care about his development since he never should’ve been like that in the first place.

Plus, Hinata failed as a mother for never disciplining him. I rest my case.

I was extremely furious when that Brat was badmouthing Naruto like that. It's understandable if Boruto was a motherless child and he was being insensitive... But he has a Mother and that worthless mother did nothing to stop that brat from behaving like that.

Here, Sasuke was clearly confused and angered as to why his father wasn't paying attention to him as he does with Itachi.

Mikoto was also explaining about Fugaku's position as a Clan Leader.... And then she said this...

This is where Mikoto shined as a mother. I am telling you, whatever Mikoto was saying here is mostly a Lie. Because if Fugaku really was talking about Sasuke as she says here... the Author would have shown it. But he didn't.... because I believe there is none. But as a mother, She didn't want to disappoint her Baby boy and hence she eases him off with a harmless lie.

Shouldn't Hinata have said something like this to make Boruto understand Naruto in a better way??? Yeah, Even A Lie would suffice... But she was just standing there like a Doll and raised up an ungrateful and insensitive brat. SMH.

Ah-hah!! Not a villain!! I absolutely adore her and I resent how people see her because only I am correct about my faves. But seriously she gets a bad rep in fandom and it does upset me because she's SUCH a compelling and interesting character. Also Elizabeth Banks was a perfect choice, no notes

SHE DESERVED BETTER. Morgana redemption arc 2022. My girl did a lot wrong but I adore her and also she was manipulated a lot early on and maybe if Gaius hadn't convinced Merlin to fuckin LIE TO HER about having magic this WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED

in fact something really funny is that when i get a new hyperfixation i tend to just. completely drop the old one. i literally straight up abandoned a dsm p twitter stan account with nearly 1k followers and a bunch of close mutuals DAYS after starting danganronpa. once something grabs my mind it does Not Let Go

fortunately that didnt really happen with hitachiins to fruit brothers,, probably because there really wasn't much content for me to consume. i could rewatch the anime and it would last a few episodes, there's a fandom, but bullet train Just came out so there wasn't much of a fandom yet, and it wouldnt be on digital (or soap2day hehe) for a couple months or so.

anyway i really like that movie if you couldn't tell !!! personally i recommend it but fair warning its very gorey/bloody/violent (in that strange comedic way- think deadpool or kingsman) and made me CRY. like just sob. so the emotional damage was real but i loved it anyway

idk what it is that makes me love brother characters so much. i feel like its just so sweet to be to have siblings that are just ,, always there for each other. they grew up together, they've had each other through everything, good and bad, and they've survived at each other's side. they trust each other with their lives, even if they can't trust anyone else. its more than just a best friend thing too, because its an irreplaceable bond. its just,,, ougjfjhhjh its my favorite .

So for those who can't read it, it says:

Instead of mainly focusing on a "story" as we had done before, we wanted to try something more innovative by creating characters that felt realistic enough for our players to befriend and interact with. That's how everything started!

Once we had decided on the concept of creating "real characters", we concluded that it wouldn't make much sense to be too specific when deciding on the appearance, personality, etc. [of MC]. After all, if the players cannot identify with or become the main character, it would take away from the gaming experience we were aiming for.

That's why we decided not to specify any gender, skin colour, or hair colour in our scenarior nor illustrations, so that our players can freely imagine their own main character.

This is also one of the reasons we got rid of a lot of narration. There aren't many scenarios written without a specified gender in Japan, which means it must be hard for Japanese scenario writers. But we have noticed in the reviews and comments that players appreciate this aspect of the game, and we have seen so much fan art and fan fiction in which everyone created their own characters! This really made us think that we made the right decision.

The next thing we would like to challenge is for the users to be able to freely imagine the main character's personality as well when playing the game!

I'm not gonna lie and say Solmare is the best company ever, bc they do have some lil issues here and there, and nobody's ever gonna be perfect - and holding them to that standard just is kinda unfair/unrealistic anyway. They're still just a bunch of people doin their best, and sometimes that ends up in a hit-or-miss.

But they are really fuckin good, and they are amazin for genuinely tryin to do smthn that hasn't really been done before - or done well.

The makin MC GN was sorta an unintentional side effect of havin a game with more developed, realistic characters that people'd love (and more focus on buildin realistic relationships with those characters), but the reason why is still fuckin amazin.

Get rid of identifyin factors on MC and suddenly WE are the ones talking to the characters in the Devildom - not some proxy character we're meant to live through, who won't fit like a glove for everyone.

We're not livin someone else's life or playin someone else's story. That's OUR story. That's OUR life. And the bonds we make are OUR bonds.

This is prolly also why we're never given a backstory. If they never mention who we were pre-Devildom, then anyone can just slap their own, normal lives onto MC. Plus why we get questions like "do you have any siblings?" in regards to Beel's convo abt Lilith and Belphie; it's so that convo can appeal to people who DO have siblings and to people who're only children! You get to decide, in that moment, who MC is. Which is fuckin phenomenal, honestly.

It's also, I think, why this game doesn't have set romance routes and lets you back out of most romantic situations. Not everyone's gonna WANT to end the game in a romance, but should that mean they get a bad ending? Or a kinda bland, disappointing neutral ending? Nah. Bc the main focus is the characters, and you can mean as much to them as a friend/platonic part of the family as you can actively dating them.

Solmare went into it with GN!MC to help us connect to the characters, and through seein fan interaction and talkin to fans, realised how much people loved havin the option to be the MC! And they're dedicated to tryina make the experience even more neutral/unique so we can feel even more like we're part of the game.

So it's kinda that balance between intentional and unintentional - at first. Now they're really goin for as much of a GN!MC as they can, and it's bc they took notice of how much it meant to everyone.

It's amazin when you get into it just what a unique experience this is, and how much thought and effort went into (and is still going into) makin the game somethin that everyone can enjoy. It's why I love OM, personally, and why OM's got such a huge followin compared to other otome games on the market rn. It appeals to more people in a more natural, comfortable way.

It def. deserves appreciation! Solmare are doin a hella good job on that front, ngl. But don't feel like you can't hold criticisms, too, bc you absolutely can.

Like sometimes, tho rarely, OM can slip into tropes that feel a little more fem-aligned, and it can be jarrin. But a lot of that's bc of how good the game is on the whole at bein neutral that smthn gendered sticks out like a sore thumb.

(Basically I just wanna make sure peeps still know they can be grumpy/unhappy with things even tho the game/company does some good stuff. Like I said! Nothin's ever perfect. And laudin a company too high can have some hella bad consequences lookin at my experiences w/ Homestuck here ngl, so we just gotta remember to praise them for the things we love and that're good and question some of the things that're maybe not as great, and build a fandom community that's acceptin of criticisin Solmare when it's justified).

Why is it so hard for them to NOT make shit up? Thats not what backgrid does. There are pics of EXTREMELY private people with backrid on them. Like Adam Driver is VERYVERYVERY protective of his son and the media/paps and u can find a pic of the whole family at a park and backgrids watermark is right on it. Its like they make something up and everyone else in their fandom takes it as gospel. Smh.

2021 Fanfic Tag Meme

@sixtyfourk tagged me to do this about a week ago; am I only now scrambling to do it in the last few hours of 2021? yes. does that basically sum up my work ethic/productivity in general? unfortunately also yes.

Most popular story: So You Never Lie Again, the sole and first Genshin fanfic I wrote this year, which.... well, it’s not at all surprising that one was going to be vastly more popular lol, with such a massive fanbase compared to the other two I wrote for this year. It was a rather spur of the moment story considering that for the most part I’m not invested enough in Genshin to write for it (a lot of what I want to read for that fandom already exists, honestly, and its universe also kinda intimidates the hell out of me), but some of the most recent updates changed that and I do have a few more ideas I want to write for the game in the future.

Funniest story: I.... I don’t think any of these are funny.... I barely write funny things :’D

Story I’m most proud of: Probably Happiness Is..., which is a short, introspective piece about Rupert Chrogray/Ashley Graydon from DGS, my favorite character in the game (duh :P). It’s rather short for me, but I think I did quite a good job at summing up and capturing the beautiful tragedy and complexities of his amazing character in only a few words, and I’m very satisfied with the flow of it and said word choices... With all my stories about him, I want to make people who may have glossed over him before understand what makes him so compelling and sympathetic, and I think I was able to accomplish that perfectly here.

Saddest story: ...probably the aforementioned “Happiness Is”... lol, I mean it does end with me killing Rupert off when he has nothing but regrets, the one time I’ve decided I will ever do that :’)

Least popular story: The Light of Ashen Dreams, but I literally just wrote it on Christmas eve and posted it, and it’s extremely short and hardly my best work, so I’m not surprised lol

Most cringeworthy story: yeah, let’s be honest, it’s the aforementioned “Light of Ashen Dreams” lol (god do I cringe at all my titles in general-) I wrote it on a whim on my phone for about 3 hours Christmas night, having never written a fic on my phone before, and spent a few hours editing it Christmas day before posting it, just because I was frustrated with how long I’d gone without writing anything and wanted to put something up before the end of the year, so... yeah. It was based on an image I’ve had in my head for a long time, so it didn’t come COMPLETELY out of nowhere, but it was still probably rushed, and definitely cheesy smh

Favorite Opening Line(s): The opening of, again, “Happiness Is...”, the first line of which was my basis for the entire fic (along with a doujin on pixiv):

 “I simply do what I can. And well, to me, there are some things in life that cannot be bought with money.”

Top Scenes from Anywhere You Would Choose to Have Illustrated: The scene that is the main bulk of While You and I, Keep Ourselves Warm... more specifically the hug I guess... I just love Rupert and his dad so so much, I’m dying for more art of them :’) i want to see them happy and soft together... *cries*

Stories I haven’t yet written, but intend to: God, so fucking much. Most ideally, my DGS Gina and Rupert enemies-to-siblings/friends slowburn WIP, that I started earlier this year and already have about 6k of, but then paused in order to wait to play DGS2 in July and then ignored cause of health shit. Something about the Inazuma story arc in Genshin I wanna write, as well as something about the most recent Albedo story developments. Two ideas I have for - god I hate that I’m even saying this - Demon Slayer, focused on Rengoku cause the demon slayer movie is and forever will be the only part of demon slayer i give a shit about. Two ideas I have related to the most recent and now premature final :’) chapter of Tales of Crestoria, and I wanna write more for Crestoria in general. And overall just a lot of vague wanting to write more for DGS and PL in general, cause those are what I focused on the most last year and I definitely have so much more I need to get out about those games.

Fic-writing goals for 2022: write. more. god fuckign damn just write more. My mental health has been so bad this year, due to my physical health sucking and mega anxiety (not just mental anxiety but anxiety affecting my body! which makes my mental health even worse!) and shit with parents, but there was still so much time that I was fine and could have been writing and just. didn’t. because hahahaaa untreated adhd I most certainly do have amiright 👉👉 :’) And I honestly don’t know how to improve on that front, without meds, which I really don’t want because I already take enough freaking meds as it is (and I’m not even officially diagnosed, at any rate), but.... I just... gotta try harder to hold myself accountable and write more.... haaaahhhh.... and also not rely so much on comments to motivate me. My stuff is so niche that it’s never going to get many comments, and I just need to accept that, and not let the lack of them affect me...

But yeah huuu… before getting to the part where they dote on their giant leader I just kinda wanna think like how Kichi would react to that… cuz you know how in one of his fte's he said that they'd be better off without him/wouldn't care if he died (? Something along those lines ?) Like in this situation he'd still think they wouldn't want him around. so I'm thinking if he suddenly grew big-mean-villain-sized, he'd prolly like just up and run off to hide somewhere. I just love to think that even he doesn't show it and still acts like a fckin cloWn around others, giant kichi feels like a big ugly scary monster and would rather stay on his own than let anyone near him, and that could work with most of his classmates they wouldn't really care enough to try and get close to him so he thinks even his dice group would be the same but holly heck no they absolutely wouldn't leave him alone gosh that's so cute

Hhehehehhheez imagine the scene bro,,, Kokichi wakes up in the middle of the night with his body screaming in pain he feels weird and uncomfortable and it's like chains r tugging at his limbs to rip them off and it's awful and all and he's curled in on himself breathing raggedly flinching his eyes shut, when the pain subsides he looks around and chaos meets him, there's debris all over and below him and he's seeing everything from a helicopter pov but his feet still meet the ground. it's like he's a kid in the middle of a doll town except there are living people in this little doll town and it's terrifying and he has no idea what to do but he reaches down with shaky hands to see if anyone got caught and hurt in the mess he did, when he sees that no one got injured -or worse- it does little to calm him down. if he doesn't get away immediately someone will come and see him like that- then an image pops in his mind of his dice group standing at his feet with their necks craned up looking at him in horror before running off. he doesn't want to see that, he doesn't want the people he loves the most to leave and he won't let that happen so he runs to hide from them.

And he's a criminal genius and used to hiding and deceiving people so when he goes to a remote location he doesn't even think anyone could possibly find him- he knows dice will try but he knows each and every single one of them better than they know themselves, he can think ten steps ahead of them so they can't catch up to him. They'll get tired of looking and leave him alone and it'll be for the best for everyone. Yet they baffle him when they find him after a while- later they tell him that it's because they too know him better than he knows himself and know how he thinks when he's distressed, but at the very moment they find him their first reaction is discomfort and skepticism 😔 they aren't sure if this giant boy really is their Kokichi maybe someone is trying to cause havoc in their group, but if he really is Kokichi then they don't want to leave alone,,, like this. They're a lil unsure but they try to talk to him understand what happened. And Kokichi feels satisfied that he was right and they're afraid and they don't want to see him but that satisfaction is a bitter lie he's telling himself as comfort but the truth his that he doesn't want to see them like this so he keeps trying to push them away

But dice slowly sees past the bitterness and recognizes Kokichi's distrust and paranoia and their own distrust melts away and leaves room for relief. They slowly shift from interrogatory to fussing over their giant leader for running off without a warning n leaving them so worried. But they know Kichi won't believe their concern for him and if they try to be too supportive too suddenly he'll get paranoid and push them away thinking they're tricking him even if they only want to help, so they'll agree to move things slow nd gentle with their scared giant leader.

See the uhee afro guy? yea he kinda looks like second in command and kinda serious and professional (as professional as a criminal harlequin with an afro can be) I can kinda see him being the most collected in the situation and the first dice member Kichi feels a lil comfortable around- he likes to see him lead the group and keep his head cool in such crazy situation it's comforting normalcy. And the uh gal with super long hair who's curled up in the back on that dice group pic? (The one who for some obscure reason is the fandom fave) like yea she looks like the youngest member I can see her being kinda playful n affectionate and be all over Kokichi always climbing on him nestled in his hair or poking him around nd clinging to him and joking and playing around and Kokichi hates it cuz all that love and acceptance has to be a lie, no one can trust Kokichi Ouma when he's a short whimpy high school boy and no one could ever possiblity trust Kokichi Ouma when he's a giant monster who can hold human lives in the palm of his hand.

One thing dice agrees on is to never leave Kokichi completely alone- they know he'll try to leave again if he finds the occasion so they make sure to keep an eye on him (they also obviously want to keep him company in these trying times) and Kokichi can see that effort to keep him put and he doesn't like it. he doesn't like how they're pushing it with their lie of caring about him and wanting to be around him. he could leave if he really wanted to but somewhere buried deep in him he still longs for their company and comfort even if he's afraid of their betrayal- but he's really desperate so even if it's risky he trusts them just a little to stay with him and goodness, of course they don't disappoint.

No matter what happens after that and no matter how long he stays like that (even if it's forever irreversible) dice is sticking with their leader. they push and prod him around to go back to their routine and drag him to go make new pranks- it's a little hard to adjust to his new size but they do their best to work around it and even make use of it to pull the craziest stunts. all in all they do whatever they can to get Kokichi to be comfortable with them and with himself and they're there for him like he was always there for them cuz he loves them and they all love him too and no matter how hard it's to get through to him they'll show him their honesty n loyalty and prove he can trust them and gosh im not into the whole power of love shtick but let the boy be happy dang it!!

Haha and of course there's the flips side of shrinking ouma and dice,,, but the world isn't ready for that discussion yet.

I understand why the anon sent that ask. I just got out of twitter bcz almost half of the levihan fandom are hating on Levi saying "how easy it was for him to forget about Hanji. Onyankopon is the man here blah blah" It makes you frustrated every time you come across their shit but it can't be helped and you can't change their mind so they better be ignored.

I mean... it's been 4 chapters since she died. Levi is pushing forward after saying "watch us from there". What else do they want him to do?

I think I wrote a decent amount this year, so here’s my top 5 :D (parents do lie when they say they don’t have favorites)

‣ illicit & priceless | bang chan

well, I was pretty hesitant about this one since there are hundreds of mafia aus in the fandom already and I didn’t want it to be a typical one where the mc got kidnapped and unintentionally joined the mafia. but the feedback and reactions were surprisingly good! looking back, I gotta give myself a pat on the back for all of those actions-packed scenes and how their relationship evolved. eventually humans would want to kill each other, but these two... no matter how much they fought, no matter how bad things got, their bond only grew stronger at a reasonable pace. (i miss writing decent stories like this one smh)

‣ countless skies upon me | lee minho

( extending blurbs: a tender feeling, a wedding catastrophe, love someone back to life, everything to me )

I was also dubious about this one—my very first attempt at writing fantasy. I’m pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. It’s definitely not the most detail-oriented work of world building since I’m a relative newbie with this genre, and the plot was a little above average but I’m quite happy with my descriptions here. also, the mc and minho’s dynamic really warmed my heart (weird to say since I planned it out myself). and I was really happy to expand this universe a little bit more and write a few more supplementary blurbs for the rest of the characters.

‣ back to me | han jisung

I don’t talk about this fic a lot but it was probably my first proper dive into writing angst. truth is, the plot wasn’t that great, it’s doable, it does the job. but something still draws me to go back to it every now and then. I really like how I could pinpoint the mc’s conflicted feelings here. like when one makes a hateful vow in the eye of the storm only to realize it’s too late at the end but the painful part is, their loved one is still willing to hold onto their hand at the end of the line. it definitely can be improved but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

‣ aria of an assassin | lee minho

I’ve always wanted to write something platonic for the longest time. and I’m not mad at how my first attempt turned out at all! the only thing is I wish I could have gone into depth about the mc’s past a little more. but this fic holds a special place in my heart because I self-project a lot (I mean a lot) here. I’ve always struggled to ask for help and often sink into myself (the mc) and at the same time, it absolutely pains me when people do that, it makes me want to help them no matter what it takes, even if they push me away, especially that (minho).

‣ in the eye of heaven | bang chan

the main point to get across from this fic is that: not everyone is happy with a happy ending. and I gotta say I’ve gotten a little better from my last attempt at angst. I like the fact that Chan didn’t choose the route of doing absolutely nothing when the hurtful truth is laid out right before his eyes. I like that he’s flawed, that’s what makes him so human. he knows that he’ll be hurting either way and there’s absolutely nothing that he can do about it.

“Santa Claws” is a way better episode than “Chrismaster”. Sure, the songs aren’t much to write home about, but what the hell were people even expecting in the first place? And look at all its hightlights, like 

A lot of people complain about the lack of Adrien-centered episodes. Guess what this is!

IIRC this is one of very few episodes that goes much into Emilie from Adrien’s POV, and it’s honestly the one that goes about it the best, except maybe “Gorizilla”. That moment where he is inches away from ruining Christmas and then remembers his mother’s face? Yeah, that’s a lot more than comparing Ladybug’s eyes to hers. 

Further proof that originally sympathetic motives aside, Gabriel Agreste has long since sunk past any decency. Christmas is an infamously difficult time for people grieving the loss of family members. Does Gabriele “terrorising the city so that one day we can be a family again” Agreste consider that maybe, MAYBE, his son might feel extra bad today? Yeah, no, not until his staff reminds him that if today is hard for him, it’s probably not any better for the fourteen year old who lost his mother. 

Adrien gets more affection from a literal stranger he meets on the street than the adult he lives with smh

Also the instant assumption that a fourteen year old with a history of running away from home MUST HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED

Adrien not hesitating to inviting someone else who is alone on Christmas Eve to celebrate with his family. And his father greeting his wayward son by insulting and chasing off the man who found him and brought him home even though it was presumably out of his way. Class. 

And then. AND THEN. After that display of caring fatherhood, does not even deign said son with the effort of chewing him out for it in person. 

“Cat In The Night” is a bop, don’t lie

The eternal ambivalence about whether Santa Claus is real or not in the MLB universe

One of two times where the mayor of Paris tries to be a father happens in this episode and it is beautiful. 

Cat Noir telling Ladybug that whatever happened with him and Adrien is a “secret”. The Adrichat fandom has been sleeping on this one for too long. 

Marinette operating on galaxy brain logic throughout. Adrien’s card next to Cat Noir’s destruction? Some supervillain must be after him! Adrien is talking to strange men who gave him sweets? Must be an akuma victim!

Adrien’s sulking, from his passive-agressive “what’s the use he won’t care” to the musical anthem of self-pity to the demonstrative way he drops his joypad after he’s been locked up again. Our boy has got his moments and this episode is full of them. And of course, of how quickly he gets over it once he faces the consequences of spreading misery.

Cat Noir’s solo on the Eiffel Tower is such a completely IC moment for him. Get the boy a better stage than the houseboat of a hippie mum with kids in a garage band

“We’ll see who gets the best presents next Christmas!”

“Christmaster”, on the other hand, is one of the weakest episodes of the show, redeemed only by two things:

Nino’s glasses slipping down his nose in that one scene

Adrien Agreste and a professional figure skater regressing to five year olds at the prospect of maybe getting their presents early oh please please please

In conclusion: The Christmas special is good actually and the people who complain about it are presumably the same people who insist that the season where plot finally happened was somehow worse than the monster-of-the-week seasons preceeding it. Or who, FOR SOME REASON, take this show seriously and take this episode seriously in particular.

Years and years later, and the S/C gaslighting game goes on...

I wrote the post below in January 2018, more than 2 years ago, (I’ve been in the shipper community since 2015 during S1). I ended up rereading it after a new follower @westwind49 , left a comment on the post, saying this:  

“ Thank you. I’ve been feeling like I’m crazy thinking they’re together! I’ve always thought there was more to their story but was feeling bad that maybe I was delusional! So much theatrics! Thanks for clearing the air!❤️”

Thank you, @westwind49 , for allowing me to revisit my not-so-distant self and realize that some of us are still living a “Groundhog Day” of sorts.The most shocking thing about the  post below is that EVERYTHING in it could still be said today. We are still in the same position, with no absolute verification/affirmation of any truth to either S or C’s true reality. They are still playing games, hiding things, lying, and gaslighting. C has still never used “my husband T” or even “my fiance T” together in the same sentence, showed a pic on IG of her together with her “loved one,” or even shown a wedding photo, because don’t you know that wedding photos are just for the bride, her husband, and their family? (That’s C redefining her wedding as a “private” affair, even though her co-worker and family left public breadcrumbs all over the place, and her wedding was included in Vanity Fair as one of the year’s “biggest” weddings!). S would have you believe, even though he won’t post a pic with her, that he’s spending pandemic lockdown in Hawail with a former Playboy bunny. If S and C are in fact with these other people, then why won’t they post pics with them, name them as their SOs, and add some truth to their lives instead of innuendo and gaslighting? It’s just unfathomable to me that two people can spend this much time and energy STILL either living a lie, hiding the truth, or simply implying a certain truth but offering no concrete confirmation of it as an absolute reality.

On sancerre, sushi and Netflix chillin’...

As a PR professional, I am smh at this whole sc fiasco. If s and c feel that no one has a right to peer into their private lives, that’s their choice, even though it’s very hard to achieve if acting is your chosen vocation and you aspire to be a well-known one. However, in order to successfully navigate and reinforce this ‘’hands-off my private life” position, from the outset, and/or especially when things appeared to be getting out of control with perceptions, sc/their agents should have hired sm pr professionals to take over their public actor accounts (and they should have established private accounts to talk/post to each other and their inner circles). With sm pr professionals manning their accounts, a strategy/tactics would have been agreed upon and the public accounts could have been fun but strictly professional promotional banter and understood by fans to be as such. And they would have been much more successful in creating consistent, ongoing messaging and PR for the stars they represented and their shows/movies/appearances. At public appearances, from the beginning, sc should have been less touchy, more professional, and steered clear of all the sexual innuendo (like c does with tobias, with whom she also had an on-screen relationship/chemistry). Sc could have communicated in a fun way at appearances that they were indeed “goofy best friends” but “we’re not dating each other,” and reinforced it at each appearance thru restating the same words and following through with their actions. If c was in a relationship most of this time, she could have curtly mentioned, “I have an SO, Tony McGill, but we’re very private people together so please respect our privacy.” I guarantee you, this invasion of privacy would not have happened bc no one (except maybe stalker Purv) would have shipped s and t. It also would have explained t’s presence at public appearances and their standoffishness (”you know, we’re private people so no public PDA”).The shipper world would have then been focused on just the jc characters and OL, with just a tiny, inert contingent who wanted to ship sc regardless of the facts. The anti-contingent and it’s resultant trolling, hatred and invasion of privacy by both anti’s and sc shippers to prove the are they/aren’t they would have never arisen. Sc could have lived their private lives with dignity and privacy, and they wouldn’t have had to compromise their integrity (or been accused of doing so), and all the gaslighting and blaming an entire loyal segment of fans of being “delusional” and “crazy” wouldn’t have occurred. Even if, as some claim, s is in fact gay, as a professional actress, it wasn’t c’s job to beard for him, especially if she is a “stand in your own power” type of woman (as she appears to be) who wanted to maintain her integrity, privacy, and grow her acting career. Any agent worth their salt would have advised c that bearding and/or misleading fans that you were in a romantic relat with your co-star when you weren’t would be problematic for her. And again, if c really is a woman who stands in her power, she/her agent should have renegotiated any bearding or “overinflate your chemistry with your non-SO co-star” contractual terms with tptb once c was a strongly-established, multiple award-nominated star of  OL, which happened around early 2016. C had that kind of power by then. If the IFH was in fact held to accomplish this, c and s failed miserably at following through by falling back into their sexual-innuendo-laden sm banter and pics of personal time spent together with no SOs in sight (other than at industry events).Many co-stars have shown they can be friendly friends and cutesy together at appearances but still avoid being perceived as having something off-screen. Now I’m sticking around the tumblr shipper fandom to see how this ends bc I still think sc are hiding something. Natural curiosity and anger at being called “delusional,” when I know I’m not, pushes me to find out why this secret is so big that they’ve had to gaslight and abuse so many of their #bestfansever. You can find me on shore with my sancerre and sushi, Netflix and chillin’ and watching the trainwreck that is the sc fandom.

I hope you all stay or at least keep your blogs active for a historical record of the gaslighting and decimation of a loyal fandom.
